thinking about how canonically the pevensie siblings are 13, 12, 10, and 8 in "the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe"

thinking about how lucy needed a stool to be able to get up onto her throne, how peter's sword is a little too large for him, how susan's bow is a little too difficult for her to pull back, how edmund's shield nearly covers his entire body.

thinking about the pevensie siblings and their first few months in narnia, getting to know their new people, and half the narnians sitting there horrified because WHAT have these literal babies been through to give them such traumatized, old eyes, and the other half of the narnians are preparing to adopt them, no it doesn't matter that they're the rules, they're children who are being put in charge of too many things, and if peter looks at the old man council long enough he's going to cry, so someone needs to give him paternal support while aslan is off doing Lion Jesus Stuff™️ and whoops oreius is being nice and encouraging and now he's adopted his kings and queens they're his kids now he doesn't make the rules.

just the narnians and the pevensies being thrown into it together, and just as the pevensies will do anything to protect their new kingdom, the narnians will do anything to protect their rules, because let's be honest, these children have no sense of self-preservation, and are far too overprotective of each other and their people to take into account their own safety, so a lot of battles it's just one of the pevensie siblings running headfirst into danger with oreius running after them because his kids are feral and don't know proper royalty manners and won't threatening old kings from different countries because they're being assholes and the last time one of them tried undermining the queens susan called him a self-righteous asshole and lucy tried to stab him SOMEONE help him corral his children please

the bit that gets me is "you can't leave this bookshop" as if crowley hadn't asked aziraphale to run away with him on two three occasions, to leave the bookshop, on crowley's terms doing what crowley believes to be the right thing

i get it he means 'the bookshop' as a metaphor for him, for leaving crowley, because there's no way crowley is ever going back to heaven and aziraphale was naive to even think he would

but the resolute way he refuses to hear aziraphale wanting to be with him, but this time on aziraphale's terms, doing what aziraphale believes to be the right thing, he immediately takes that as rejection and rejects aziraphale in kind

sometimes i don't think crowley realises that - possibly through no fault of his own - he's actually not as different from heaven as he might like to think he is

Omg I love the trope ppl do sometimes where Sanji gives birth to a mini marimo, and Zoro and the kid always fight each other or like compete for Sanjis attention. And it’s even funnier if he also has a daughter cuz of course his little lady is gonna always have Sanjis attention and she knows and is so smug about it.

I think Zoro and his daughter are united on all fronts until she turns like eight. Like they are total partners in crime through out her toddler years. Zoro is busy giving her just as much attention as Sanji so he doesn't really care if him and his husband can't spend as much time together as they used to. They have a baby now, that's where both of their focus is going.

But then she turns eight and Sanji goes back to working full time and suddenly she cares less about what Zoro is doing and more about Sanji paying attention to her. Which is cute at first, she misses her daddy now that he's spending more time in the kitchen. But Zoro also misses his husband now that he's spending more time in the kitchen.

Minimo (that's her name for now) has the baby privileges though, so she can walk into the kitchen at anytime and say 'Papa I wanna eat with you.' and Sanji immediately drops everything and sits down with his girl. She also would rather starve than eat anything that wasn't made by him. Zoro has to either kidnap Sanji, or wait until after their daughter has gone to bed. And Sanji goes to sleep early so Zoro only has like two hours to spend with him after that.

So Zoro and Minimo start competing with each other for attention. They both have their own trump card that is guarantied to win Sanji over. Hers is to ask if they can make something together (it's usually a little sandwich because those are her favorite and it's easy to make). Zoro's is to tell Sanji they're going on a date (they don't go out very often so when Zoro plans something it's usually something big). They both feel like that's cheating though so they don't use their trump cards unless they like actually really want Sanji's attention for the day. For the most part their days are spent basically pulling on Sanji's pant leg like children (well, one of them actually is so it looks normal when she does it, it looks ridiculous seeing Zoro practically beg for his attention though).

Sanji is aware that they do this and he really does try to give them equal attention, but every time he sees his little girl he can't help the feeling of wanting to give her everything. And he knows Zoro is used to him giving a lot of attention to his lady so he doesn't feel too bad about doing it.

Zoro and Minimo are still very close and their relationship is super chill when Sanji isn't around. She was trying to hold Wado before she was one and nowadays she's obsessed with swords. She practices two sword style because she thinks three sword style looks stupid (she's right). The blades she uses are custom made and currently are blunt; as she gets older Zoro will sharpen them for her but Sanji doesn't want her holding sharp weapons so young. Sanji was originally against teaching her how to fight or even fighting around her until she was older because he didn't want her thinking she needed to be strong, he wanted her to know she could be anything and could do it without fighting. But even without Zoro ever unsheathing his blades in front of her, she was still drawn to them and used to always ask him to teach her. When she turned seven she started straight up stealing Wado and using her. So they thought it would be better to get Minimo her own safe swords and have Zoro teach her.

She does a lot of 'Daddy, Daddy watch this!' *cue dangerous sword move that almost gives Sanji a heart attack* and every time Sanji almost tells Zoro to never teach her anything again. But she learns fast and has yet to hurt herself. Zoro is excited for the days when people come to challenge him for his title and she can kick their asses for him.

So I've been thinking, Sonic and Tails 'fight or flight' instincts switch as they get older.

Let me elaborate.

So growing up Sonic was pure fight instinct when he was younger. Just head first into any fight and he's not backing down for nothing, he's gonna find a way to win that fight no matter what.

But as he gets older he's got Tails to look after and all their other friends that follow him into danger. So now he's more willing to take an L, pull back, regroup and think of a plan in, relative, safety. So he's still not backing down from the over all fight but he develops a flight instinct and does run away when things get too bad in that moment. (basically 'lose the battle when the war' mindset is something he develops over the years aka flight)

Tails meanwhile is the complete opposite. Tails grew up on his own only learning how to run away and hide from those who wanted to hurt him. Then he met Sonic.

Sonic not only helped protect Tails and had his back, but Tails grew up watching Sonic only have a fight instict. And little kids love to imitate anyone older than them and we've seen Tails do this before.

So Tails is just pure fight instict as he gets older, which has Sonic having some regrets™ on how he raised Tails.

Essentially what I'm saying with this whole post is as they get older Sonic is the one that has to hold back Tails from fights.

If Khael had helped Astarion ascend would he have stayed with him? Would he have agreed to becoming his first spawn?

he would let astarion make him way worse than just his first spawn >:3c (ascended astarion and consort-turned-guard-dog khael are dear to my heart, I do think about them sometimes. khael is completely and utterly under astarion's command, he retains a little bit of agency just untill the absolute is defeated and then he would give it up completely. he lives for his sire's praise and to make sure no one ever gets close to him. astarion is caring and sweet with him (all fake and manipulative, of course) and likes to parade him around both as a warning and as a power trip. I think they would be very deadly and ruthless together and that that would be eventually their demise - I can see jaheira/the harpers/wyll needing to hunt them down and put an end to their reign of terror and blood)

valvedom Perceptor my beloved...him and Brainstorm working together in the lab and Brainstorm getting horny and bugging him until Perceptor pops his panels and lets him have some fun under one condition: no overloading until he finishes his calculations

Brainstorm pressing in slowly so he doesn't disturb the desk Percy aways gets mad when he jostles it and grinding so carefully feeling every single inch of his valve pressing in until the tip just kisses the entrance to his forge his frame shaking from the overwhelming pleasure mixed with Perceptor's complete indifference not even reacting when Brainstorm grinds against his ceiling node

the most Brainstorm ever gets out of him is a short "adequate" or "satisfactory" and on rare and wonderful occasions he'll get to feel Percy's valve ripple with a small shudder but that happens so rarely that sometimes he think he imagines it

him completely lost in it all fluids dripping from their connection to the floor as Brainstorm's vents heave with each steady rock of his hips he's ben on the edge for hours and Perceptor hasn't spoken a single word fully engrossed in his work like Brainstorm isn't even there but that just gets him hotter

he's practically furniture to him in those moments just another part of the room completely inconsequential with only one directive: obey

no matter how much his spike pulses with thick charge he cannot overload until he is allowed no matter how wet and pliant and delicious Perceptor's walls feel around him his internal nodes prickling with his own building overload he cannot spill until it is allowed

once his vision has nearly turned entirely to static drool leaking from the gaps in his mask barely cognizant he feels it Perceptor's hand is on his cheek

"such a good boy. you may proceed."

his optics short out entirely as his spike finally slams home spilling fervent gushes of thick transfluid directly into Perceptor's forge his walls milking every last drop out of him in a shared overload

he comes down slowly his hips still grinding of their own accord

"got it all out of your system? good. clean this up."

and he will he'll clean everything spotless using nothing but his glossa including Perceptor's swollen valve lips until he's completely satisfied just like every other time they play
