Can I ask ur thoughts on Paper Jam? You’ve mentioned them briefly in posts about Ink and/or Error as parents, and I’m wondering how u view them as a character individually ^^

PAPERJAM, PJ, THE SILLIEST EVER. pj was the first ship kid i was ever really into, unfortunately the credit to that does have to go to rouge’s highly infamous pj’s daycare. liking pj was the singular good thing i ever got out of that, and i forever grieve the fact that his name will always be associated with that mess.

i like paperjam a lot. their canon, their fanon, how many interpretations the fandom has for them, it’s great!!!! similar to ink, paperjam is a hugely flexible character in how the fandom treats them, in plenty interpretations not even being a kid to ink in error, either being a fusion or just having no familial connection to ink and error. canonically, pj was created from the remnants of their battles in a world where ink and error aren’t the sole ink and error, having thousands of other versions, which is such a cool concept on its own. yet i’m also a huge huge fan of ink and error having deliberately created him as their child because i love happy families, even though paperjam’s canon family is a bit more messy. there are so many creative interpretations of PJ out there, because she’s a creative character, and i’m a fan of all of them.

btw, kudos to 7goodangel (pj’s creator) for not making ink and/or error entirely villainous in pj’s story btw. it’s a lot better than many characterizations of ink and error i’ve seen (cough cough people who make ink abusive for no reason cough cough), they’re imperfect and flawed characters, not simply pure evil or good. i also like the fact pj is canonically genderfluid, all pronoun user right there!! i love that so so much and everyone ignores that!!!

paperjam is an awesome ship kid concept that im a really big fan of, plus i love sassy characters. pj can have so many different interpretations applied to them, which i absolutely adore, and his interactions with other ship kids are always so utterly pj in how they play out. her appeal is because she’s kind of a dick sometimes, but she’s a traumatized dick. approval seeking characters have always been my weak spot…. i also love the fact that paperjam not only has two designs, similar to dream, for before big life event and after big life event, in his case being his self discovery journey. which is an AWESOME THEME MIGHT I ADD. trying to become his own person, separate from his parents and where he was created, trying to find himself??? such a good theme, such a good trope, i love that.

ALSO THEYRE CANONICALLT MARRIED AND HAVE A KID????? didn’t know that till very recently. nobody ever really talks about that part, i guess,,, maybe i once knew that a few years ago but i sure as hell forgot it now. i need to look more into pj’s relationship with omni and monochrome (his partner and child respectively) because that seems cool, theres not a ton of ship kids with their own canon children.

love it when a character that's hard to read intuitively for you has like a dedicated fandom interpreter who can just glance at their blank face in a panel and then give you a 3k word essay on their innermost thoughts & desires & fears and neatly tie it back into the themes & whatnot as if it's the most obvious thing in the world

being a big fan of gender selectable and/or gender ambiguous characters is so hard because everyone defaults to calling them a guy all the time and it's like. i GUESS that's correct. i guess. you're perfectly free to decide that because that's the point of gender being choosable and im not one to dictate how you play or interpret your playthroughs or opinions on the game. im still gonna fucking kill you though.

Like what does Jekyll think of Hyde (especially when he first emerged) and what's Hyde opinion of Jekyll (Especially because Jekyll is the reason he's here) Follow-up question...If you two could send a message to each other, what would you say? Like if you were asked to write a note with a message to your other side, what would you say to him?

what do they put into kpop that makes it so addicting? until the last couple of years i've always preferred much heavier, more aggressive music. and i still do, yet my favourite svt songs (and of other kpop groups i listen to) are mostly very upbeat and positive or just very obviously about love. i used to be so. idk disinterested in it both when it came to the music itself and the people who made and performed it, maybe even against giving it a fair try. but what came from a place of simply wanting to support my partner's new interest turned into me having a blog dedicated solely to genuine svt posting. what happened here.

(inspired by a convo i had w some1 yesterday!! warning for talking too much because i’m wick that’s what i do, talk too much)

UGH my feelings towards fanon content is so confusing. i mean, i love fanon as long as people know how to separate it from canon. especially because fanon can be better than canon as well in a lot of ways, notably dream. “what? didn’t people headcanon him as an uwu smol bean” no unfortunately that was how he was canonically portrayed for years, and still sort of is by joku who i want to fistfight for that... fanon dream is the dream we actually like—aspects taken from canon combined with him being taken and portrayed seriously and as the adult he is. same with fanon lust, in canon content lust is terrible for so many reasons, but in fanon he’s great.

however fanon can also be a lot worse. abusive ink and emotionless ink are both very much fanon, however due to how often he’s portrayed that way, many people take it as canon. this isn’t the fault of the creators of that content for the most part but rather for the content consumer for being unable to tell and thus believing it to be canon, such as in underverse, love u jakei. or how ‘blueberry’ is what initially drove underswap’s creator away from the au (it’s been over 8 years so i doubt the creator cares anymore though). thankfully this has become less common to see as of late, so the latter isn’t exactly confused with canon much at this point.

and!!! even things people still believe to be canon are fanon!!!! error’s behavior is often fanon despite what people think—he can be irritable but he’s more sporadic and immature rather than constantly angry and somewhat level-headed. and even if not considered canon, many fanon versions are very popular, more so than canon in few instances, and enjoyed by many. examples are the murder time trio (killer, horror, and dust), swap aka ‘blue’ (“what no i make him canon” where’s him speaking in caps. where’s his cool guy shirt. where’s his inner papyrus), nightmare, and lust, though there are plenty more.

i am a fan of fanon content in most ways because i’m firm on the philosophy of ‘it’s not problematic? you are aware it’s fanon rather than canon? ok then u do u’. of course i have my own gripes, and i talk about those gripes all the time bc i overshare, but ultimately people are gonna have fun regardless, and i also want to have fun so so bad with them. yet i’m also aware of how far it strays from canon, and how many people dislike fanon for that, and i dislike some interpretations as well, so??? btw hatred towards fanon is so valid i’m talking ab how i personally view fanon i hold no bad view of or grudge towards people who dislike fanon…. /gen (i use … for funsies not for any indicator of emotion)

idk i love fanon cuz it’s fun but i’m also aware of how it’s disliked for many reasons due to either a frustration towards people being unable to tell the difference, or just because generally how far it strays from canon, but i appreciate and generally love fanon interpretations as much as canon and i wish so so badly i could talk about it more IDK HOMIES IM STRUGGLIN!!!!!!

I will come back later with some silly meme images of them but they are SO butch×butch to me. I think they r both rilly casually physically affectionate and so Alex will talk for an hour abt aliens and Isabel will just have her arms wrapped around Alex the whole time like "I love you babe :]". Speaking of I think Alex gets embarrassed at first at how much she talks without noticing but Isabel may as well be wearing a shirt that says "I ❤️ my autistic girlfriend". Isabel cant cook and Alex can only kind of cook. However, literally nobody else in Isabel's life can cook (besides Max but he doesnt share) so she is extremely impressed. Isabel kisses Alex on the forehead and top of the head a lot. They play video games together. Alex introduces her to Story Of Seasons game. They both play rune factory.

I think most of their dates include wanderjng around aimlessly or laying on Alex's bed watching some show they both like. Probably Psych or something. Isabel can draw pretty okay and Alex cant draw at all so Alex is wowed at Isabel's frankly mid skillz. Alex is also wowed at the fact that Isabel can lift a horse.

I just think their both strange little autistic butchthings whom I love :]
