yourusername hello lovers! i was on double-duty this week - auntie yn x tour guide and i adored every minute of it. this was the first time my girls have visited me in the city and suffice to say, they loved it :') we chased down ice cream trucks, rode the carousel until our eyes were cross, bought way too many flowers (kidding, of course, you can never have too many), we made some new friends, ate pizza slices bigger than our heads, and had very serious discussions about what bubble wand color is superior (pink, of course).
these are the kinds of days i want to keep close. bare-faced and barefoot in central park. loud giggles and sticky fingers on sunlit sidewalks. big big smiles on two little faces :) the city feels like magic, again. thankful to these cuties for reminding me of that ♡

Dandelion News - January 8-14
Like these weekly compilations? Tip me at $kaybarr1735 or check out my Dandelion Doodles!
1. In Chicago, all city buildings now use 100 percent clean power
Tumblr media
“As of January 1, every single one of [Chicago’s municipal buildings] — including 98 fire stations, two international airports, and two of the largest water treatment plants on the planet — is running on renewable energy, thanks largely to Illinois’ newest and largest solar farm.”
2. California Rice Fields Offer Threatened Migratory Waterbirds a Lifeline
Tumblr media
“Cranes need nighttime roosting sites flooded to a depth of about 3 to 9 inches, so they can easily hear or feel predators moving through the water. [... Bird Returns pays] farmers to flood their fields during critical migration periods [... and] provide foraging sites by leaving harvested rice or corn fields untilled, so cranes can access the leftover grain.”
3. New York Climate Superfund Becomes Law
Tumblr media
“[Funds recovered “from major oil and gas companies” will be used to pay for] the restoration of stormwater drainage and sewage treatment systems, upgrades to transit systems, roads and bridges, the installation of green spaces to mitigate city heat islands and even medical coverage and preventative health programs for illnesses and injuries induced by climate change.”
4. Austin says retooled process for opening overnight cold-weather shelters is paying off
Tumblr media
“[... T]he city's moves to lower the temperature threshold to open shelters and announce their activation at least a day in advance were the result of community feedback. [Shelter operators also passed out hot food.]”
5. Helping Communities Find Funding for Nature-Based Solutions
Tumblr media
““From coastal oyster reefs to urban stormwater greenways, nature-based solutions are becoming the new normal.” That’s because these types of projects are often less expensive to build and have additional community benefits, such as improving water quality or creating parkland.”
6. Saving the Iberian lynx: How humans rescued this rare feline from extinction
Tumblr media
“Back in the early 2000s, fewer than 100 individuals roamed the wild, including only 25 reproductive females. [...] Conservation staff [...] shape these cats into resourceful hunters and get them ready for life outside the center. [...] They’re fine-tuning captive-breeding routines, improving veterinary procedures, and pushing for more wildlife corridors.”
7. Biden cancels student loans for 150,000 more borrowers
Tumblr media
“The 150,000 new beneficiaries announced Monday include more than 80,000 borrowers who were cheated or defrauded by their schools, over 60,000 borrowers with total and permanent disabilities and more than 6,000 public service workers[...] bringing the number whose student debt has been canceled during [Biden’s] administration to over 5 million[....]”
8. PosiGen wins another $200M for lower-income rooftop solar
Tumblr media
“PosiGen offers a “no credit check” [solar panel installation to] those with a higher percentage of their income going to power and fuel bills[....] “somewhere between 25 and 75 percent” of the consumer’s monthly energy savings could come from efficiency measures such as sealing heating and cooling leaks, replacing thermostats, and installing LED lights[....]”
9. Indigenous communities come together to protect the Colombian Amazon
Tumblr media
“At this year’s COP, Indigenous peoples celebrated the [protection of] traditional knowledge, innovations and practices[... and] the Cali Fund, which ensures that communities, including Indigenous peoples, receive benefits from the commercial use of [...] genetic data derived from the biological resources that they have long stewarded.”
10. How the heartland of Poland’s coal industry is ditching fossil fuels - without sacrificing jobs
Tumblr media
“[Katowice, a former coal city] committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 40 per cent compared to 1990, prioritising investments in green infrastructure, and promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency. [...”]The gradual departure from heavy industry did not bring high social costs in our city,” says Marcin Krupa, Mayor of Katowice City.”

Twins!Tim and Jackson
Jack and Janet Drake has a lot of skeletons in their closet and one of those is having only one child name after them, which will be proving a lie once you enter the bedroom of Timothy Jackson Drake. You will be greeted by two young boys with the same pale skin, blue eyes and soft face.
There are two Timothy Jackson Drake.
"Timothy" Jackson Drake is a more reserved boy than his older twin who is more boisterous and mischievous and has a lot of energy in him. He rather stay in his room wearing his comfy silk pajamas and read mystery novels, he rather stay in his room writing songs and poems, trying to solve the cold cases in Buzzfeed Unsolved and practice more of his curriculums.
Timothy "Jackson" Drake is a joyful little bundle of energy. He rather be in hoodie in the streets of Gotham taking pictures and skateboarding and being loud. He likes being around and familiarising himself in his surroundings. He hates quiet places, he hates being a perfect kid and he hates being in the center of attention, he likes to blend with the background as it was more easier to sneak around.
"Timothy" Jackson Drake and Timothy "Jackson" Drake. Two boys who share everything with each other, even their birth certificate. Two boys who fool everyone, even their own parents, that there is only one Timothy Jackson Drake that has been registered and existed to the Gotham City.
++++
"Tereck! I have a surprise for you~" a little boy sing-sang as he enter their room, revealing a similar face of the boy that was waiting for him with a book in hand.
"What is it, Jorothy?" 'Tereck' asked, curious as what his brother brought back to him.
"Ta-da!" 'Jorothy' revealed what he had and it got an instantaneous reaction of gasp from his little brother.
"I know Mother and Father forbid us to buy useless things with their money, but this is not from their money, so don't worry." Jackson winked at his younger brother.
That statement received a frown, "You are not doing illegal things, right?"
Jackson chuckled and ruffled his brother's hair, "No, some tourist wants to take a photo and gave me a tip. Probably from New York." Because no Gothamite will asked for a photo with the potential of taking their camera or phone, this is Gotham.
Timothy hugged Jackson, "I just don't want to be separated from you." the younger twin mumbled, making Jackson to smiled softly at his little brother.
"I promise, we will always be together, forever."
+++++
Jackson hugged his twin, as a hope it will stop his dearest brother to such a suicide mission, he will embark. "Timothy, you don't have to do this. Let Batman be an adult and take care of himself." He reasoned as he was growing desperate. His brother was willing to hurt himself just to save an adult that is probably capable of doing it himself.
But Timothy shook his brother off, knowing what could happen to his beloved Gotham once Batman was ripped to shreds. "But without Batman, Gotham will be destroyed, Jackson." Timothy said as he put his little hands to his twin's face, making him looked at him. "I know you hate it here, but it is our home."
"A home is a place with a happy family. And it is not here, as long as the two of us is together, it is a home. If Gotham falls, even better, we could just pack our bags and leave." Jackson said with indicts in his voice that he was right and he knows it must be followed as it was better for both of them.
"Batman needs Robin, J. And I am willing to be a Robin to save Gotham."
+++++
"I hate you." Jackson said as he dab a cotton swab on the busted lip on Timothy. This is not even from the criminals that was supposed to be violent, this was from Batman, himself.
Timothy sighed, "I know." He can't say anything. His brother that treasure him like a pearl, and now he was nursing him from an injury from the protector of Gotham.
"You can just quit, you know."
"But I will not."
Jackson hugged his brother, "I hate seeing you hurt, you are not built to be Robin." he whispered to his brother and buried his face to his brother's hair.
"But I'm the only one who can be Robin."
"I wish I could stop you from your insane activities."
+++++
"This is our chance now, T. Mother is dead, Father is in coma. We could sneak away from Gotham and no one will notice."
"No one but Batman."
"Batman doesn't care about you!"
"Gotham will notice that Robin was once again gone."
"Gotham will notice and won't give second thoughts about it."
"But-"
"No more buts, pack your bags, we will leave."
+++++
"This is it, T. After we land to Latvia, we can renew our lives."
"That is amazing, J." T said as his heart was heavy with guilt, knowing he will leave his twin in this plane. "J, I love you."
"I love you too, T."
"I'm sorry." Timothy said as he injected a tranquilizer to his brother's arm. He walked discreetly to the still open passenger door and left his brother.
+++++
It is so hot in the middle of the desert. He just finished blowing up the League of Assassin's bases and he kneeled as adrenaline finally eludes him. He wished his brother was here to fetch him like back in grade school. Like whenever he cry in the middle of the night, his brother will be there beside him. Exhaustion is finally catching up to him when an orange monster truck stopped by him.
"Need a ride?" A voice that has been haunting him since he left the airport. He look up and saw the same face that he now wished to see.
"Jorothy?" he blurted out his twins absurd nickname he gave his brother when they were kids.
Jackson smirked from the nickname, "Sup, Tereck."
Timothy jumped from kneeling and climbed the huge truck and attempt to hug his brother, but his body just decide to just gave up on him. His brother jumped of the truck, and carried him like a koala. His brother turned and speak, "Please help yourself, Miss Fox. I hope you know how to climb a car."
"I am so sorry, Jackson."
"Shh, sleep for now. Rest, Timothy, you deserve it."
"I am so so sorry, for leaving you, Jackson."
"Shh, I told you, we will always be together, forever. Even if we were apart for years."

Should I turn my headlights on when driving during the day?
Using headlights during the day is not just a good idea—it can save lives. While daytime running lights (DRLs) or full headlights aren’t always legally required, their safety benefits are well-documented. Here’s a breakdown of when and why you should use them:
1. When to Turn On Headlights During the Day
Low Visibility Conditions: • Rain, fog, snow, or mist (even light drizzle). • Dawn/dusk ("twilight hours"). • Forested roads, tunnels, or shaded areas.
Legal Requirements: • Mandatory in some regions: ◦ Scandinavian countries, Canada, and parts of Europe require DRLs or headlights at all times. ◦ U.S. states like New York and New Jersey mandate headlights during rain. • Check local laws—many states require headlights if visibility drops below 500–1,000 feet.
2. Why Use Headlights During the Day?
Reduces Collisions: • Vehicles with lights on are 15–25% less likely to be involved in daytime accidents (NHTSA). • Critical for motorcycles, gray/silver cars, and low-contrast vehicles.
DRLs vs. Full Headlights: • DRLs: Automatically on but often lack taillights. Use full headlights in poor weather to activate rear illumination. • Full Headlights: Ensure all lights (front and rear) are visible.
3. Exceptions and Practical Tips
Clear, Sunny Days: • Optional but still beneficial (e.g., rural roads with glare).
Energy/Bulb Life Concerns: • Modern LEDs use minimal power (1–5 watts) and last 10,000+ hours. • Halogen bulbs cost ~$10–$20 to replace annually if used daily.
Auto Headlight Systems: • Enable "Auto" mode if your car has it—sensors activate lights as needed.
4. Penalties for Non-Compliance Scenario Potential Fine Driving without lights in rain (e.g., California) $100–$200 No DRLs where required (e.g., EU) €50–€150
Final Verdict Turn on your headlights during the day if:
You’re driving in any suboptimal visibility.
Your car lacks DRLs (use low beams).
Local laws require it.
The minor inconvenience of switching them on is far outweighed by the safety benefits. As the adage goes: "Be seen, not sorry." 🔆🚗

Duchovny will never go back to NY - he never wanted to - ever since he set foot in LA, he's found his place on fantasy island. I think he only went back to NY to try to save his marriage, as soon as he could, he ran back to Sodom and Gomorrah. The sugar baby has nothing to do with NY either - can you imagine her having to do photos holding a book instead of a drink by the pool? Bikini photos in NY are rare. The "celebrity vibe" is different in NY, there isn't all the adoring energy that there is in LA. But if they stayed, they could hang out with Alec Baldwin and his young Spanish wife, who could give them tips on how to make an old fool completely hostage to an opportunist, the first suggestion: start having children.
I think David's love for New York has more to do with snobbery than a genuine love for this city. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sold his apartment in such a hurry to go live in Malibu forever. In New York, David is one of the many rich residents, but in Los Angeles he is still a star, albeit from the past.

Swinging By | Peter Parker One Shot
Being Spiderman was hard work.
Being Spiderman as a teenager that was still in high school was even harder.
And Peter Parker was tired. More like exhausted.
Of course, he enjoyed the role of superhero and getting to save people —he’d never take for granted having been bit by that radioactive spider. Still, he couldn’t help the fatigue that ransacked his body after every long day that passed.
He wished it was easier. That he had an endless supply of energy he could distribute whichever way he saw fit. He would have enough for his friends, for Aunt May, the city of New York… maybe even for (Y/N), his downstairs neighbor, and the girl that filled his mind every hour of the day.
He had seen her around the building. The very first time, she quickly caught his eye. It was the day her family had moved in. Peter had been too shy to say hi. He watched as the three of them walked in and out of the building with boxes in their hands, following the movers up and down the stairs.
Peter had wanted to help them. But for some reason, his limbs had gone numb and he couldn’t bring himself to approach them. Any of them. He simply watched as they moved back and forth in the building until they disappeared into their new home. It was clear that he had missed his chance to introduce himself to the girl that was wearing a sweater from the New York Hall of Science.
But May was always one step ahead and she had seen the longing stares her nephew would give to the girl every time she walked by. The boy had everything going for him. All he needed was a little push. And who better than his aunt to give it to him?
May had made a batch of “homemade” cookies –which meant she had bought premade dough and followed the instructions– for the new neighbors. Conveniently, she had to run out to the office on a saturday morning and couldn’t drop them off, leaving Peter to take care of the task.
“But, can’t you just leave it at their door with a note?” Peter whined as he felt anxiety bubbling in his body. “I’m sure they’ll appreciate it regardless.”
“Oh, come on, Peter,” she chuckled as she struggled to put on her heels. “You swing from building to building and face aliens and magicians and criminals every day. I don’t think handing your neighbors a plate of cookies could compare.”
“But…”
“Peter, I just need you to do this one thing for me, please,” she smiled sweetly. “I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
“Alright, fine,” the boy finally resigned. “See you tonight.”
“Thank you, sweetie,” May called as she left through the door. “See you tonight.”
Peter had stared intently at the seran-wrapped plate in his hands, hoping he had developed teleportation powers in his sleep. He could already feel the knot of anxiety pushing against the walls of his throat, constricting sounds and air back. He couldn’t face her, not without making a fool of himself —something he could be sure of without his spidey senses.
He had decided to take the stairs, walking slower than humanly possible. But he wanted the time to build his confidence. He had been the Spider-Man for a little over eight months but he had met his match in the form of a girl his own age.
Before he had known, he had reached apartment 2F. The door was mocking him, teasing his cowardice and  nervousness. All he had to do was raise his fist and knock on the door.
“Get it together, Parker,” he spoke to himself in a hushed tone. “Just knock. All you have to do is knock on the door, leave the cookies, and go, nothing more. Just get it together. She might not even be there. It could just be her parents. Why are you so scared? It could just be her…”
“Can I help you?” A honey-laced voice broke him out of his trance as the door in front of him swung open. Her smile was as sweet as her voice and seeing her in passing did not compare to perusing her face at that moment. “You’re our upstairs neighbor; right?”
“Uh, uh,” he stammered as his train of thought broke. “Yes. Neighbor. Me.”
“Yes. Neighbor. You,” she chuckled. “I’ve seen you around. Sorry I haven’t had a chance to introduce myself. I’m (Y/N).”
“Pretty,” he sighed contentedly. But as soon as he noticed the words that had left his mouth, his whole face had gone red. “I mean, your name is pretty. Not that you’re not pretty, but I was talking about your name.”
“I figured,” she smiled warmly. “And yours is?”
“Oh, it’s Peter. Parker. Peter Parker.”
“Well, Peter Parker, may I ask why you were rambling in our Ring camera for a minute or two?” (Y/N) questions kindly. “Not that I’d mind seeing a cute guy talking to himself at my front door.”
If it had been possible for his face to grow redder, it had. He was sure he had turned the same shade as a tomato. “Yes, cookies,” he scrambled for his answer. His hand extended quickly, showing her that he wasn’t some creep at her door. He had brought a treat. “My aunt baked them to welcome you and your family to the building.”
“That’s so nice of you,” she beamed. “And normally I’d invite you in and share them with you, but we’re actually on our way out.”
“Oh, of course. I wouldn’t want to impose either way/”
“You could never, Peter Parker,”  she had smiled brightly at him. “But you should definitely come over soon. Might be some cookies left. Or I could make some brownies and send them your way.”
“I love brownies!” Peter answered enthusiastically. “And I might just take you up on your offer someday soon.”
“You better,” she had responded teasingly. “I’ll see you around the building then, Peter.”
“See you around, (Y/N).”
Seeing her around had turned into almost every other afternoon. And the building had turned into seeing her almost everywhere, including Midtown School of Science and Technology. Any free time he could find all he wanted was to spend it with (Y/N) – even if everything in his life was against it. The more he wanted to see her, the more the universe seemed to throw obstacles his way. A spike in criminality, another school project, Tony Stark calling him to the Avengers tower, everything that kept him from spending more time with her.
And everything had made him more and more tired.
For almost a month straight of coming home late at night, almost blind from exhaustion. His body had gone into auto-pilot. He would sneak into his room through his window, slip off his mask, and crash onto his bed to get at least three to four hours of sleep before he had to be up once more to do it all again. Peter could have made it into his bedroom with his eyes closed.
Something he shouldn’t have attempted to do even if he could.
It had been a rather debilitating night. He could feel the warmth of blood pooling on his forehead, his muscles were tight and sore, his leg was throbbing, and all he wanted to do was sink into his bed and pass out for a week.
Peter climbed the fire escape slowly, his eyes closed as he counted in his head the three flights of stairs that would lead him to his bedroom. His window gave him more trouble than normal, getting stuck halfway, something it had never done before. And when he slipped into his bedroom, he found it was darker than usual. But, all he wanted to do was sleep. Just sleep.
He slipped off his mask, wincing as the fabric stuck slightly to the cut on his face. Once the cover-up was off, he finally took in the room he was in. Quickly enough, he noted it was not his. Where his bunk beds would be, rested a full bed with black and gold bedding. The desk that would normally be covered with figurines and papers was replaced by a neatly organized surface. And he definitely would have remembered hanging vines and string lights on his wall.
“Uh, Peter?” His eyes went as big as saucers as he figured whose room he was actually standing in. “What the hell?”
The boy turned around quickly, feeling a sense of deja vu from when his aunt had found out his secret identity. He did his best to shield his suit, putting his brain into overdrive to come up with a plausible excuse for standing in the middle of her room dressed like New York’s one and only Spiderman.
“I, uh,” he stammered. “I can explain.”
“Peter, you’re hurt,” she gasped as she turned on the lights in her room. “Sit. I’ll get the first aid kit.”
Peter was dumbfounded. He was expecting her to freak out like Ned, or curse at him like aunt May. Instead, (Y/N) seemed far more worried about the cuts on his face than the fact that he was a secret superhero.
He took a seat on her desk chair, placing a discarded towel he’d found in her laundry basket, too afraid of staining her furniture. As he waited for her to come back, his eyes studied her room. His gaze fell upon a bundle of pined pictures on her wall, specifically on a picture from the month before.
They had spontaneously decided one afternoon to go to Central Park with Ned and MJ. They had walked, they had laughed, they had eaten ice cream, and, unbeknownst to him, MJ had snapped a picture of them as (Y/N) cleaned a drip of strawberry ice cream from his chin. But what stood out to him was the way her eyes shined as she looked at him. It was a gaze he had never noticed before on her.
“Got it,” she breathed as she came back into the room. “I just hope it’s enough. It doesn’t look that deep.”
(Y/N) settled before him, quickly going to work on cleaning his face. She poured alcohol onto a cotton pad, using the softest touch to not hurt him more than he already was. Her concentration zoned in on every cut, making sure not a single one was left behind.
Peter couldn’t help but memorize her face. The way her tongue peaked out slightly from her lips, the small furrow of her brows, and the little scrunch of her nose. He could have stared at her for the rest of time and he would have been okay with that.
“Alright,” she sighed. “All done. Is there any other wound concealed in this onesie?”
“Oh, uh, I don’t think so,” he chuckled. “My body might just be insanely bruised.”
“Do you need some ice?” (Y/N) worriedly asked. “Might not have enough for your whole body but I have enough for the most important areas.”
“I’m okay,” he smiled. Peter stared curiously at her. They had spent over twenty minutes together and she had yet to mention the biggest elephant in the room –she didn’t give any indication that she would do so. “(Y/N), why, uh, why aren't you freaking out?”
“I did. There was visible blood on your face but it’s gone now.”
“No, (Y/N). I’m talking about the whole Spiderman thing,” he pointed. “You’ve barely reacted to the fact that I’m standing before you, dressed as Spiderman, with wounds on my face.”
(Y/N) did something that he had not expected. She laughed. “I’ve known for a while now, Peter,” she said. “You might be quiet and sneaky when you’re out catching bad guys and saving the world, but you leave all your stealthiness in the street. Once you’re home, you tend to make a lot of noise. I saw you one time when I couldn’t sleep. I had been staring out my window trying to find anything to tire my eyes when I saw a flash of red and blue land on the fire escape. Don’t think Spiderman would have too much business with you, so I just assumed.”
“So you saw me… as Spiderman?” Peter confirmed. “And you didn’t say anything.”
“I didn't feel like it was my place,” she shrugged. “I wanted to wait until you trusted me enough to tell me.”
“I do trust you,” he whispered, afraid that she would take his secrecy incorrectly. “I just… I just wanted to keep you separate from all of this. I don’t know what I would do if I put you in danger. I care about you, (Y/N).”
“Oh,” she smiled before she noted the underlying sentiment behind Peter’s brown eyes. “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh,” he chuckled. Peter then tested the waters, standing from the chair and getting closer to her. “I’ve wanted to get closer to you whilst keeping you at arm’s length in order to protect you because I know just how dangerous it is to even be associated with me. All I’ve wanted is to keep you safe.”
“Is it corny to say I can keep myself safe?” (Y/N) chuckled, taking his hands in hers. “I know it’s crazy but anything is worth it if I can… get closer to you.”
“I would never let anything happen to you,” he whispered. “Even if I had to sleep outside your window every night.”
(Y/N) chuckled softly, releasing one of his hands to place a comforting palm on his cheek. “I don’t need your protection, Peter,” she said, her fingers tracing his features. “I need you safe. And well-rested. You look tired.”
“I am,” he confessed with a sigh, closing his eyes at the warmth of her hand. “But, for you, I would never sleep again.”
“I would rather you sleep, Peter,” the girl responded. “Why don’t you lay down for a bit? I’ll get you a shirt and some sweatpants. Wouldn’t want you stumbling around in a Spiderman suit and all exhausted like that.”
“Honestly, I cannot deny that request,” Peter chuckled. “I don’t think I could make it up the fire escape tonight. But, I do want to do something before.”
“What is it?”
“Can I kiss you?” he asked meekly.
“Please,” she breathed.
With a smile, he closed all distance between them and placed his lips onto hers. He reveled in the warmth of her lips, enjoying the softness and plumpness of them. It was everything he had daydreamed of for months on end… except the suit… and the wounds… and the sluggishness. Other than for those things, it was perfect.
“Want me to get those clothes now?” (Y/N) chuckled as they broke the kiss. “I think you should rest for a bit.”
“Only if we can kiss some more after.”
“We can kiss any time you swing by,” she grinned. “I might just keep leaving my window unlocked for you.”

Who Is Lee Zeldin? (Sierra Club:
Excerpt from this story from the Sierra Club:
President-elect Donald Trump’s selection to lead the Environmental Protection Agency is, in a word, unexpected. The appointment announced on November 11—in which the Trump transition team erroneously referred to the EPA as the “Environmental Protective Agency”—was not an energy industry lobbyist like Andrew Wheeler or a MAGA insider like Mandy Gunasekara, who authored the EPA chapter of Project 2025. Instead, Trump chose Lee Zeldin, a little-known former Republican congressman from Long Island, New York, whose background on environment and energy issues is relatively skimpy.
So, then: Who is this person who will be in charge of the federal agency tasked with protecting the environment and public health?
Zeldin is a politician and military officer who grew up in New York’s Suffolk County. From 2015 to 2023, he represented New York’s First District (eastern Long Island) in Congress, where he sat on the House Foreign Affairs and Financial Services Committees. Before that, he served for four years in the New York state senate. In 2022, he ran for governor of New York against Democrat Kathy Hochul, a race that he lost by six points.
He’s a booster of fossil fuels and promises to unleash “energy dominance.”
In his run for governor of New York, Zeldin campaigned on expanding fossil fuel extraction. He called for allowing “the safe extraction of natural resources in the southern tier” of the state, approving new pipelines, and repealing the gasoline tax. He also was a staunch opponent of New York’s ban on fracking and ran on ending it. “[Zeldin] has a record of being pro-fracking, and that’s a record I think he’s going to clearly carry forward into the Trump administration,” Eric Weltman, a senior organizer in Food and Water Watch’s New York office, told Sierra.
Zeldin has mentioned pursuing “energy dominance” as one of three top priorities in heading up the EPA. “It is an honor to join President Trump’s cabinet as EPA administrator. We will restore US energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, and make the US the global leader of AI,” Zeldin said in a statement on X.
He has taken more than $410,000 from the oil and gas industry, and he questions the scientific consensus on climate change.
According to Climate Power, Zeldin has received over $410,000 from the oil and gas industry in his election campaigns, including over $260,000 while running for Congress and more than $150,000 in his gubernatorial run. He has taken more than $60,000 from Koch Industries over the course of his political career, according to Open Secrets data.
His voting record in Congress is mostly anti-environment, with an LCV lifetime score of just 14 percent.
Zeldin unsurprisingly has an overall poor voting track record, as scored by the League of Conservation Voters. “Trump made his anti–climate action, anti-environment agenda very clear during his first term and again during his 2024 campaign. During the confirmation process, we would challenge Lee Zeldin to show how he would be better than Trump’s campaign promises or his own failing 14 percent environmental score if he wants to be charged with protecting the air we breathe, the water we drink, and finding solutions to climate change,” Tiernan Sittenfeld, LCV’s senior vice president for government affairs, said in a statement.
He supported a few conservation efforts for his district.
While in Congress, Zeldin backed several conservation initiatives for his district in Long Island. According to the campaign website for his gubernatorial run, he helped save Plum Island—a tiny island off the eastern tip of Long Island—by securing repeal of a 2008 law requiring it to be sold to the highest bidder. He also worked with the Army Corps of Engineers to “protect our coastlines, advancing the ambitious Fire Island to Montauk Point project,” a climate resiliency coastal risk reduction project to help safeguard Long Island’s prized beaches.
He appears to be against clean energy funding and tried to gut public transit funding in New York.
In addition to voting against the IRA and its massive clean energy investments, Zeldin early on in his political career attempted to divert funding away from clean energy programs in New York and undermine the New York City area’s transit system, according to Environmental Advocates NY. The New York environmental organization bestowed its “Oil Slick” award in 2011 on Zeldin, a rookie state senator at the time who led an effort to try to weaken public transit. He sponsored a bill that would have defunded the MTA, resulted in service cuts and fare increases, and discouraged public transit use. The bill would have also diverted $100 million away from clean energy programs to “plug holes in MTA’s finances.”

Tumblr media
April 5, 2018.
A venture into New York City is always a good thing. Give me any reason - a doctor’s appointment, family, or a show in Greenpoint - and I’m there. This time it was a check-up on the pricier Lower East Side. I asked the team to give me an early time because I knew something else was going on behind the clinic. I know because my old man drove me home all the time and took a specific rote to do so.
The chilly 35* temperatures bit like any early April would. The sharp white sun constantly cut across the passing white clouds drifting through the dry blue sky. I stand at the Deer Park platform for a few minutes and anticipate its’ arrival. The iPod Classic (160GB) is still holding up. It’s been my only companion that comes with me for Christ knows how long, ever since it’s not-as-capable brother (30GB) took it’s first ride with me supplying Whitehouse’s Racket, Vincent Gallo’s When, and various Boards Of Canada and Roy Ayers cuts. That was another springtime trip where Cath- and I joined forces at Penn Station to go to the Brooklyn Museum and back home on the Ronkonkoma line for what was one of the most significant days ever lived. I loaded up the 400 or so finds to it of songs I never heard of before, songs then in the auditioning phase for Omega WUSB’s airplay. Train rides on the Deer Park line are usually prime-time to cycle through it all with no distractors around. My other companions? A Sony kit and a tripod.
I board and sit on the outer left aisle facing forward. No window seat this time. Public Image Ltd.’s “Poptones” couldn’t have come at a better time as the Deer Park line slowly rolled down through Farmingdale. None more fitting when those loopy dangling notes of Keith Levene’s Veleno moved perfectly with the slow floating crawl of the car. I’m not even paying attention to the motion blur of the graffiti or the industrial buildings usually experienced when looking out of the window. Another song plays, it’s The Plugz’ “Satisifed And Die”. It was a gift from Holly, a Brooklyn goth girl who followed me here. She’s made me roused and stimulated like no other. We been trading recommendations for a couple months based on our equivalencies of industrial, noise, punk, and other artists. I never heard of Plugz until she told me that “Hammy” from The Pee-Wee Herman Show was in the band.
The music still spun in my ears. Each song that played was saved to the day’s on-the-go playlist. No skips or fast-forwards. Eventually there’ll be seven or ten songs out of thirty that will follow me around forever out from the 400 chosen for April 5th. They kept going, and so was I on the way to Penn Station. Final track to end the ride? “Hold On To Your Genre” from Les Savy Fav, a band I’ve heard about over the years, and maybe a mention from former selector Xtina who used to run The All Ages Show before I took over her timeslot. Holly’s hits kept on parading through.
Penn Station here. I save my energy taking the A/C/E connecting me to the N/Q/R/W line to Lexington Av. and walk up 3rd St. to the clinic. Here I am! I’m directed to go upstairs and angle myself for some x-rays before heading downstairs to see the silver surgeon who saved my life eighteen months ago.
“Wow! What’s that?” excitingly ask Renee, the surgeon’s assistant. She saw my kit and tripod and told her I was going to shoot after our appointment. She was happy to see me. They’ve seen them all come and go during all their years in practice. It was a treat for them to see me have this new energy from when I was either blacked out on the hospital bed or frustrated and itching ready to go. But here I was. That’s the most important thing for all of us, right? Silver took his hand and pressed his tips on my shoulder to feel any changes. Looked over the film and saw no changes. Asked me how I was doing with this British / Irish roll and was pleased to hear that I was doing great. An hour later, I was good to go. Show’s over for now. See you in six months.
I haul my inventory out of the clinic and head towards where my old man would start our path home. It’s the Grand Army Plaza at the southeastern corner of Central Park. Look up and you’ll see the golden monument of William Tecumseh Sherman riding high on a stone pedestal with Victory guiding the way. I take several photos of all their heroic glory. A few horse-and-carriage jockeys were all around me with their furnishings dressed in white, red, and purple with gold trim. I see many overseas families make the best of their time taking photos for mementos forever to be remembered by, not knowing if and when they’ll have another opportunity to return again. But I don’t stop there.
Forward I go into Central Park, because I had all the time in the world to tread into uncharted territory. I walk past the disused zoo and end up at the Balto statue. How cute. I stop and snap away for more test shots before some former aspiring Aron Kay wanna-be rode his bike past me and said something about Balto being a liberal conspiracy, and self-declared it a debacle that was worse that seeing Oprah’s goatse. I walk away from his trailed stench of shit and dried blood and now here I am walking right down the middle of The Mall and Literary Walk. It literally welcomes you in with its pathway, where its generousity is measured by its wideness.
It was at that exact point where I started feeling euphoric again. I’ve beaten cancer to see my final benefits loaded into savings. Three paychecks in March, the tax refund hit, and our company gave us full-timers a surprise $1,000 bonus. Minimal and synthwave finds connected me with some of my best followers here, good times with me and twenty of my other co-workers at my neighborhood arcade, and the record-store victory tour just started. All of my on-going projects at Ω+, VMFX, and WUSB kept me going and proud. My nerves straightened themselves out and for once in my life I was on top of everything. There were no worries, no stress, no pressure. There was only hope. I hit the sweet spot that I been trying to acquire for so long and this was it. I felt like I was the person I always wanted to be. Keep going.
To my right is the Naumburg Bandshell where I did my best to preserve whatever dynamics it presented me with a press of a button. Further I go and I encounter the Besthesda Terrace, a dazzling array that’s been around for almost 175 years. Greeting me is its accompanying fountain where The Angel Of The Waters looks over all of us. A Danish family of four wanted their picture taken together so they asked me kindly to snap them with their camera, which I happily obliged.
It’s 5PM. Joggers and bikers are imminent. Young couples are sitting on the hills admiring the skyscrapers to the south and west side. I let myself get lost as I head north. I reach the Bow Bridge to see a young Filipine couple in their wedding threads have their photos taken. I continue to wander through all the winding pathways and steep hills to find myself at Belvedere Castle which was gated off and closed indefinitely. A few thousand feet later, I stop short at the 86th Street Transverse to catch my breath and pause to experience the current moment of clarity. Robert Viger’s “Limpidite” started to play. The sun’s about to set and it’s getting dimmer. Now was the time to head back.
I didn’t remember the path I took to get here, so what fun I had when I got lost and realized I had to walk the equivalent of thirty city blocks to even reach East 59th Street again which I returned to. I was exhausted and was tempted to take the N/Q/R/W line back to Penn Station, but no. It’s rare for me to be in the city, so why not make the best of it and walk it all back to Grand Central? My time was limitless because I didn’t have to be at work until 1PM the next day. Let’s reverse the process.
I take part in the crowded hustle and bustle of Manhattan. I walk 30 blocks south back to Penn Station for the ride home eastward, still bathing in the new euphoria and pending Spring renewal I just felt. I arrive five minutes to my train, but no big deal. I’m more than happy to re-hydrate with a $2.50 bottle of water and wait around until the Ronkonkoma line arrives. I have another relaxing 65-minute train ride back to Deer Park to cycle through more auditions and selections for the day’s forever soundtrack before it’s gone forever. I arrive on the Deer Park platform and step off the train. I step off the platform and walk through the aluminum overpass and steps onto the parking lot. I get in my car and drive away to sweep up the rest of the way home through the Brentwood streets. 10:30PM and I’m home for the night.
**********
There’s a message waiting for me after I walked in. It’s Holly. She asked how my day was and what I was up to. It was real nice for one of my all-time favorite followers to even ask. I had to reply to her before heading to bed. I also sent her the day’s photos and then asked to see if we could finally meet up. The momentum was stronger and now more essential than ever. I’m thriving for more.

Tumblr media
When it comes to ensuring the safety and efficiency of your home or business, choosing the right electrical service provider is crucial. In a fast-paced and growing city like Toronto, there's no shortage of electrician companies to choose from. However, finding the right fit requires knowledge of who’s licensed, reliable, and experienced.
In this blog, we’ll dive into what makes the best electrical companies in Toronto, why hiring local electricians is a smart choice, and the benefits of working with licensed electricians for your residential, commercial, or industrial needs.

Licensed professionals go through rigorous training and are held accountable for their work, giving you peace of mind and protecting your property.

Good News - May 8-14
Like these weekly compilations? Support me on Ko-fi! Also, if you tip me on Ko-fi, at the end of the month I'll send you a link to all of the articles I found but didn't use each week - almost double the content!
1. Critically endangered fish with red hands and 'sad toad face' returned to the wild in Tasmania
Tumblr media
“Conservationists in Australia are celebrating the return of 18 critically endangered red handfish to the sea after they were taken into care at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) in January to protect them from marine heatwaves.”
2. A rare Australian marsupial is being genetically modified to save it from extinction. Here's how
Tumblr media
“Scientists are trying to genetically 'edit' the endangered northern quoll to make it resistant to the neurotoxin of the invasive cane toad. […] Now experts in gene-editing […] say they can introduce genetic resistance to the toxin by taking DNA from a species of South American lizard and ‘edit’ that into the cells of a northern quoll. They have already managed to do this with the cells of the closely related dunnart, another endemic marsupial.”
3. More and faster: Electricity from clean sources reaches 30% of global total
Tumblr media
“For the first time, 30% of electricity produced worldwide was from clean energy sources as the number of solar and wind farms continued to grow fast. [...] Some of [the past year’s] new demand was for heat pumps, which are an efficient way to both heat and cool buildings, and for electric vehicles. [... Last year was also] the 19th year in a row that solar was the fastest-growing source of electricity generation.”
4. Standards Established To Improve Health Care For Kids With Disabilities
“Developed by a panel of health care experts, adults with disabilities and caregivers, the plan published recently in the journal Pediatrics […] calls for providers to be trained about caring for those with neurodevelopmental disabilities, improved communication with patients and their families and proactive planning in advance of health care encounters to ensure that patients are at ease and provided accommodations.”
5. Working together to better understand Alaska’s beluga whales
Tumblr media
“Beluga conservation efforts depend on an accurate count of whales. Indigenous hunters also need to know how many belugas there are so that they [can] decide how many can be safely harvested. That’s why WWF is bringing together Western science and Indigenous knowledge […. U]sing hydrophones to detect belugas in the Yukon River works—and it is an approach that is both cost-effective and non-invasive.”
6. Robotic system feeds people with severe mobility limitations
“Researchers have developed a robotic feeding system that uses computer vision, machine learning and multimodal sensing to safely feed people with severe mobility limitations, including those with spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis. […] The robotic system successfully fed 13 individuals with diverse medical conditions in a user study spanning three locations[….] Users of the robot found it to be safe and comfortable, researchers said.”
7. Senate Passage of America’s Conservation Enhancement Act a Win for Wildlife
Tumblr media
“The Senate’s reauthorization of the America’s Conservation Enhancement (ACE) Act will benefit America’s wildlife and way of life. Led by Senators Tom Carper (D-Del.) and Shelley Capito (R-W.Va.), the bill invests in wetlands and habitat restoration projects across the country as well as strategies to reduce conflicts between wildlife and livestock. […] The passage of this bill shows us once again that Americans are united on the need to protect wildlife and our outdoor heritage,” said Andrew Wilkins, director of land conservation policy at the National Wildlife Federation.”
8. Liberals and conservatives differ on climate change beliefs--but are relatively united in taking action
“The study, led by researchers at New York University, finds that when given the opportunity, liberals and conservatives take action to address climate change at roughly the same levels -- and that this is due to conservatives choosing to take action despite their climate-change beliefs rather than liberals failing to act on theirs.”
9. Democratic state attorneys general are teaming up to protect abortion access
Tumblr media
“A group of Democratic attorneys general are working to strengthen state-level protections for abortion, contraception and gender-affirming care. These protections could include expanding the use of so-called “shield laws,” which assert that states where abortion or gender-affirming care are legal won’t cooperate with out-of-state efforts to prosecute anyone who helped provide treatment.”
10. Antwerp gives residents free trees
Tumblr media
“The Belgian city of Antwerp has 2,000 trees to give away, and it wants to give them to residents to plant in their gardens [...] with the aim of involving citizens in the greenifying process of the city. [...] What’s more, the city website offers practical advice on how to proceed with planting and caring for the tree so that it will meet the standards set by the municipality. [...] The City makes sure to give dead trees a second life by using their wood in the making of natural kids’ playgrounds.”

BREAKING: The House Passes Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill'
Tumblr media
The House voted 215-214 to pass the One, Big Beautiful Bill Act Thursday morning after marathon negotiations to get GOP holdouts on board.
Late Wednesday, changes were made to appease Republican lawmakers from blue states, including New York and New Jersey, to increase the state and local tax (SALT) deduction cap to 40,000 for those earning $500,000 or under. The timeline to implement new Medicaid work requirements was also bumped up to “no later than December 31, 2026.”
Regarding clean energy tax credits, a sticking point for House Freedom Caucus members, the bill was also revised to end many of them by 2028.
To address concerns from other holdouts, Johnson said President Trump has committed to signing executive orders related to those issues.
Speaking early Thursday and reflecting on the long hours that brought them to this point, Johnson quipped it was quite literally morning in America again.
He described the bill as a “turning point in American history” and said it achieves all they were sent to Washington to do—it makes the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, delivers no tax on overtime or tips, strengthens border security and the administration’s deportation efforts, finishes the border wall, takes aim at waste, fraud, and abuse, and much more, as Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) highlighted:
Border Security •    Provides funding for 10,000 new Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel. •    Provides funding for detention capacity sufficient to maintain an average daily population of at least 100,000 aliens. •    Provides funding for at least one million annual removals. •    Introduces a new series of fees that provide funding and resources to various agencies. •    Funds the hiring of 10,000 new ICE agents and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) criminal investigators •    Codifies permanent fees for immigration services, to ensure cost recovery and reduce the federal deficit. •   Provides $12 billion to reimburse states for actions taken to deter, mitigate, or prevent unlawful or illicit activities related to border security. Permanent Extension of Tax Cuts and Jobs Act  •    Makes the 2017 Trump-era tax cuts permanent – protecting the average taxpayer from a 22 percent tax hike. •    Saves the average American family $1,700 – the equivalent of 9 weeks of groceries. •    Increases real annual take-home pay for a median-income household with two children by roughly $4,000 to $5,000. •    Raises annual real wages by $2,100 to $3,300 per worker. •    Delivers on President Trump’s priorities of no tax on tips, overtime pay, or car loan interest, and provides additional tax relief for our seniors.  •    Repeals the requirement for firearm silencers and takes the manufacturer tax on silencers to $0 •    Locks in and boosts the doubled Child Tax Credit for more than 40 million families, and provides additional tax relief for American families. •    Supports working families by expanding access to childcare and making the paid leave tax credit permanent.   •    Puts American families in control of their health care by expanding health savings accounts and cementing into law a Trump Administration policy that offers more choice and flexibility for health coverage options. •    Starts building financial security for America’s children, at birth, with the creation of new savings accounts.   Unleashes American Energy •    Reinstates quarterly onshore oil and gas lease sales, generating $12 billion in revenue. •    Mandates at least thirty lease sales in the Gulf of America over the next fifteen years, and six in the Cook Inlet, generating billions of dollars in new revenue. •    Returns to reasonable oil and natural gas royalty rates. •    Requires geothermal lease sales, generating $23 million in new revenue. •    Resumes leasing for energy production in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, generating over $1 billion in new revenue and savings. •    Resumes coal leasing on federal lands. •    Increases timber sales on federal lands and requires long-term timber contracts.
“What we’re achieving today is nothing short of historic and that’s true,” Johnson said.
Republicans could only afford to lose three GOP votes, with all Democrats voting against it. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) joined Democrats in opposition. House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Andy Harris voted present.
“Today, under President Trump’s leadership, House Republicans delivered a huge win for the American people by passing the One, Big, Beautiful Bill — a bold package that keeps the President’s promises of the largest tax cut in American history, deporting criminal aliens, and sealing the border," RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said in a statement. "Every single Democrat voted against it. They voted against tax relief for hardworking Americans. They voted against immigration enforcement. They voted against 80% of the country who support extending the Trump Tax Cuts. Republicans are fighting for No Tax on Tips and No Tax on Overtime, while Democrats are fighting for the largest tax hike in American history. The difference is clear: Republicans are putting America First. Democrats aren’t. This is what the American people voted for, and Republicans are delivering.”
House Republicans held a press conference after the bill's passage:

Great Small Works' Spring Spaghetti Dinner "When We Are Among the Trees" by ERIK MCGREGOR Via Flickr: The Great Small Works' Spring Spaghetti Dinner "When We Are Among the Trees" (with a tip of the hat to Mary Oliver) was held on May 18, 2025 at La Plaza Cultural Community Garden, the springtime shindig will feature musical talents as well as a puppet shows in the garden. Presenting "The Caged Bird's Escape", new work by Jenny Romaine (GSW) and Keri Egilmez (Whirling Imaginarium) with special song bird Luisa Muhr. And a collection of peep shows, lambe-lambe shows and other tiny gems: * Samantha Sing - “The Cruel Fate of the Goldfish in the Household” * Bark and Branch Theater - “Family Trees” * Stephen Kaplin - “On the Pulse of Morning” by Maya Angelou. * Tom Cunningham, Boxcutter Collective - “Opinion Man” * Patrice Escandon - “Man in the Moon” * Erika MarLand - “Al Otro Lado” * Emmanuel Elpenord - “The Amazing Cosmo!” * Alicia Gerstein - "Cranky Town" * Kim Fraczek, Sane Energy Project - “Turn the Crank, Shut it Down! WHEN I AM AMONG THE TREES by Mary Oliver When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would almost say that they save me, and daily. I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world but walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, “Stay awhile.” The light flows from their branches. And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say, “and you too have come into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled with light, and to shine.” Great Small Works is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts. How Digital Signage Is Evolving with IoT and AI Integration?
Tumblr media
As time passes by, devices are becoming smarter & “digitaler”. Is that even a term? No worries! With the invasion of IoT & AI, digital signage is advancing beyond mere displays to interactive platforms that offer personalized experiences. AIScreen experts have highlighted that IoT integration elevates audience engagement by 40% and operational adaptability by 35% in digital signage systems across 80 different implementations. For those who bring in the AI-shift requires a refined perspective is required to educate & support clients.
The Rise of Smart Digital Signage
Digital display, traditionally used for advertising and informational purposes in public and private spaces, has evolved into a smart solution that responds to its environment. This transformation is driven by IoT-enabled sensors and AI algorithms that allow digital display systems to collect, analyze, and act on data from their surroundings. These smart displays can now adapt content based on foot traffic, weather, audience demographics, or even inventory levels.
For instance, a retail store in New York can use AI-powered digital signage to adjust promotions in real time depending on customer demographics captured via in-store cameras. If the system identifies a higher number of younger shoppers during certain hours, it might push promotions for trending items or fashion-forward collections.
Real-Time Data and Predictive Capabilities
Tumblr media
[ Source - AIScreen]
One of the most significant advantages of combining digital signage with IoT and AI is the ability to harness real-time and predictive data. According to a report by MarketsandMarkets, the global digital board market is projected to grow from $20.8 billion in 2022 to $29.6 billion by 2027, driven largely by smart technologies. In the U.S., this trend is especially strong in sectors like retail, healthcare, education, and transportation.
AI integration enables media screen systems to go beyond passive content broadcasting. Predictive analytics can forecast customer behavior, optimize content schedules, and even predict system failures, leading to reduced downtime and enhanced customer satisfaction. A smart digital menu in a quick-service restaurant, for example, can promote breakfast items during peak morning hours based on historical sales data and footfall trends.
Enhanced Customer Experience
Customer engagement is a primary focus for businesses, and signage screen equipped with IoT and AI delivers highly personalized experiences. These technologies enable context-aware messaging, where content changes based on variables like location, weather, time of day, and user preferences.
Take the case of a fitness center in California: smart digital signage might display workout tips or promotions based on the type of classes scheduled for that day, adjusting content dynamically for different age groups or fitness levels. AI helps tailor messages, while IoT ensures the right data is fed into the system for context.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Savings
From an operational perspective, digital signage with IoT and AI integration significantly enhances efficiency. Businesses can remotely manage content across multiple locations, reducing the need for manual updates. Sensors can monitor display performance, trigger maintenance alerts, or even adjust brightness based on ambient light, thereby conserving energy.
Moreover, AI helps in analyzing which types of content perform best in specific scenarios, enabling more targeted and effective campaigns. This not only boosts ROI but also minimizes content fatigue, ensuring that audiences remain engaged.
Applications Across Sectors
Tumblr media
In healthcare, display boards are being used for wayfinding, patient check-ins, and educational messaging. IoT devices gather patient flow data, and AI adjusts signage content accordingly to reduce wait times and improve the experience. In the education sector, universities in the U.S. are leveraging smart signage for dynamic class schedules, emergency notifications, and campus news.
Transportation hubs are another prime example. Airports use digital signage to manage passenger flow efficiently. AI predicts peak hours, while IoT sensors detect crowd density, prompting the signage to offer real-time directions, gate changes, or promotional offers tailored to specific demographics.
Security and Data Privacy
As with any technology that collects data, smart signage systems must adhere to strict data security and privacy protocols. U.S. businesses integrating AI and IoT into their signage solutions must comply with regulations like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Ensuring transparent data collection and anonymization practices is essential to maintain public trust.
The Future of Digital Signage
Tumblr media
Looking forward, the convergence of media screen with emerging technologies like 5G, augmented reality (AR), and machine learning will unlock even more possibilities. Imagine smart signage that uses facial recognition to identify returning customers and display loyalty rewards, or AR-enabled screens that offer immersive product demos in real-time.
For C-suite executives, startup entrepreneurs, and U.S. managers, the message is clear: digital signage is no longer a static tool—it’s a strategic asset. By integrating IoT and AI, businesses can enhance communication, optimize operations, and deliver deeply personalized experiences.
Conclusion
Digital signage is moving from the periphery to the core of modern business strategy. With IoT and AI integration, it offers not only enhanced customer engagement but also operational intelligence, cost efficiency, and future scalability. As technology continues to evolve, businesses that invest in smart digital boards today will be the ones that define tomorrow’s customer experience landscape.
Whether you're a retailer aiming to personalize promotions, a hospital seeking to improve patient journeys, or a university wanting to streamline communication, smart digital display is a tool worth your attention.
