Every time Belos told Hunter about the Titan, he’d often accidentally repeat himself because he was lying and making up things on the spot. Imagine if Hunter remembered every single detail and whenever he noticed a contradiction in his uncle’s words, he’d remind him that he lied the other time by asking him a thousand questions.
Hunter: Uncle Belos, you mentioned that the Titan’s power comes from the sky, but last time you said it comes from the earth. Which one is it?
Belos: Ah, yes, well, you see, it’s both! The Titan’s power is a combination of celestial and terrestrial energies.
Hunter: But you said before it was purely celestial. And wait, didn’t you also mention he draws power from the sea?
Belos: Well, yes, that’s correct, Hunter. The sea is also a source of his power.
Hunter: So, it’s from the sky, the earth, and the sea now? That’s quite the Trinity of power sources, Uncle.
Belos: Indeed, it’s a complex system, Hunter. The Titan’s power is vast and... multifaceted.
Hunter: Multifaceted, huh? So, does he also draw power from the trees? I remember you saying something about that once.
Belos: Ah, yes, the trees! Of course, Hunter. The Titan’s connection to nature extends to the trees as well.
Hunter: Fascinating. And what about the stars? You’ve mentioned them too, right?
Belos: Absolutely, Hunter. The stars play a crucial role in channeling energy to the Titan.
Hunter: Right, so let me get this straight. The Titan gets his power from the sky, the earth, the sea, the trees, and the stars?
Belos: Exactly, Hunter. You've got it!
Hunter: But wait, if that's the case, then why did you say last time that he draws power solely from the moon?
Belos: Well, you see, Hunter, the moon is a conduit for all those energies...
Hunter: But you just named the other sources. So, which one is it, Uncle? The moon, the sky, the earth, the sea, the trees, or the stars?
Belos: Ah, Hunter, you have such a keen memory. It's a combination, a delicate balance of all those elements!
Hunter: A combination... right. Got it, Uncle Belos. Thanks for clearing that up.

How does Philip behave towards his children? Sons or daughters either,
(I have this AU where he has two sons, William(first son) Pip(second son) and Willie is a troublemaker who usually bullies other kids and mostly Pip because he’s jealous of him getting more attention. And Pip is very Quiet and reserved, he is named after Philip because he looks Exactly like him, basically a carbon copy of him.)
So how would Philip treat his children in general? Would he be strict and very Authoritative? Curious lolololl
Well, right off the bat I can totally see Belos pawning off Pip (who I'm assuming is the youngest?) onto Hunter because it's a recreation of him and Caleb when they were children.
I've already discussed how Philip/Belos would behave differently towards sons and daughters in another post, but, I do have some other thoughts if his kids are the equivalent of gremlins fed after midnight.
I actually had this conversation in my server YESTERDAY if you could believe it (albeit it was a different kid lineup where it had the Prince (from TOH beta)(eldest), Hunter (Second oldest), Sword Kid (William(?) from TOH beta), and another iteration of William as the youngest). We had a lot of laughs about what we thought Belos would be like as a dad of four very rambunctious boys. He's a very tired soccer mom. He can't get a break. He thinks he's got five minutes where nothing happens and he starts pouring a glass of apple blood suddenly he hears glass breaking and one of his little gaggle of sons is wailing like a siren and it sounds like a stampede in the halls. he sighs. It's just another day. And then of course, there are the times when the boys stay on their best behavior for a week or so to convince Belos that they're finally maturing and are going to listen, and THEN, as soon as they get let out into the open, you just hear one teenage boy yell "SCATTER" and Belos has to wrangle every single one of his children.
Good luck being a strict parent to a pack of hyenas. Even Belos has limits to his power.

Round 1, Match 24
Phillip and Caleb Wittebane (The Owl House) vs Ogata Hyakunosuke and Hanazawa Yuusaku (Golden Kamuy)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under break
Phillip and Caleb Wittebane
they're puritans; Phillip killed Caleb over his hot witch girlfriend, then brought him back over and over and kept getting mad when his dead brother clones acted like his dead brother
------
Losers kill their siblings. Winners clone them hundreds of times to feel the pain of seing them walk away and to kill them again.
Ogata Hyakunosuke and Hanazawa Yuusaku
They go to war together, Ogata is a sniper and Yuusaku is the flag-bearer and therefore doesn't fight directly but Ogata captures an enemy soldier and tries to get Yuusaku to kill him. When Yuusaku refuses and gives the guilt of killing another person as his reason Ogata tells him that no one actually feels guilt from killing and they're all just pretending. Yuusaku rejects this and tells Ogata that it would be wrong for a person who doesn't feel guilt over killing others to exist and that he knows Ogata isn't really like that. Shortly after this Ogata shoots him in back of the head as he carries the flag into battle.

Belos au (I’m probably never going to elaborate on this lmao)
I don’t believe that fucker is dead.
Au that in the time skip, Belos manages to reform his body in the ground, similar to a grimwalker as his body takes energy and magic around him to regenerate.
Belos manages to crawl himself out of the ground, and is completely and utterly fucking miserable that he is back in the boiling isles. He is consciously aware that he was wrong about all witches, and while he won’t admit it, it is killing him inside.
He wanders around the forests, his body incredibly weak as if he was hardly hanging on. He tries so many times to kill himself, but due to that horrid curse and his body’s tolerance, he can’t die. He’s still immortal, and eventually, he will come back. Belos has learned that time and time and time again by now.
He gets covered in scars, more so than before, some half healed, others not. He doesn’t care anymore. He yearns for nothing more than death itself. He wants to die so badly. Just please let him die.
Due to his somewhat disoriented and incredibly vulnerable state, he is completely unaware that he is in the forest that the Owl House is in. Whoops. He soon passes out once again on the border of the forest, leaving Luz and Hunter to find him again.
(I honestly can’t think of a single thing in cannon that they would do, so….a tiny little plot hole)
Belos is brought back to the Owl House, and while everyone was expecting a fight or a lash out, or something severe like every other time…he just does nothing. He doesn’t fight, he’s just completely defeated. No sense of fight left, nothing. He wants to die. He doesn’t want to be stuck in the boiling isles for another moment, let alone with the people he attempted to murder, and who he severely abused.
While yes, he is still incredibly manipulative, it doesn’t have the same charm. It’s more so to not appear as weak and depressed as he actually is, once again hiding behind a facade. Just one that is not well crafted and lacks the energy to be convincing.
And, for the love of Titan, he wants Caleb back. Belos visibly cannot stand to look at Hunter, let alone look him in the eyes. He knows he’s wrong, yet he won’t admit that. But he isn’t going to put in the fight to defend himself either.
He’s too tired.

This should've been Hunter's Halloween costume, if only for the fact that it'd have made the whole scene infinitely funnier. Here have extra panels too, I'm feeling generous:

He removed the top of the costume in the episode so he'd definitely have tried. I like torturing him, he deserves it.

How would kid Philip react to Hooty?
Hooty might receive several pokes to the eye with a stick from a frightened Kid Philip upon thier first meeting, and he would try his darndest to show Philip that he has nothing to be afraid of, but oftentimes fails (he might accidentally act aggressive, which earns him more pokes from Philip).
With time, I think the two would become decent friends once they get to know and understand each other a little better.
Philip would find Hooty's antics to be funny, and Hooty would appreciate Philip's efforts to bring him bugs to eat from the forest and to involve him in activities.
He's also glad to have a little buddy who shares the same peculiar music tastes as him. <3

It’s truly heartbreaking that Hunter spent a significant part of his life trapped in the castle as the Golden Guard where he was constantly subjected to psychological and physical abuse, neglected, overworked, nearly killed multiple times, and completely deprived of his personality — he wasn’t sure if he had one to begin with, as his appearance was reminiscent of Caleb’s, his actions had the sole purpose of pleasing Belos, and his life and entire being belonged to the Emperor.
If you asked Hunter what he’d like to be in the future, he’d most likely repeat one of the conditioned ideas ingrained into his head by Belos or struggle to come up with anything.
After all, he was nothing but a shell of what the Emperor wanted him to be — if he couldn’t fulfill that purpose, what else was there to live for?
Belos would sometimes accidentally call the boy ‘Caleb’, before correcting himself. It stung every time because it was a constant reminder that no matter how hard Hunter tried to please his uncle, it was never enough, and he continued to see him as nothing but the extension of Caleb. But the worst part was that Hunter couldn’t even find the courage to say anything about it, swallowing his frustration time and time again, and embracing the fact that no matter how well he did on the missions and obeyed Belos’ orders, he’d never be truly… loved.
Hunter desperately tried to ignore it, only focusing on pleasing Belos to earn at least a little bit of his approval. If the only way to do that was to be someone else, so be it.
He just needed to be loved… no matter how much it hurt.
They were family, Belos told him so.
He had to be loved.
Please.
