Imagine peering back in time to just 460 million years after the Big Bang, when galaxies were mere infants.

Astronomers have spotted the first-ever star clusters in such a young galaxy!

The detection of massive young star clusters in the Cosmic Gems arc (a strongly-lensed galaxy) provides us with an excellent view of the early stages of a process that may go on to form globular clusters. The newly detected clusters in the arc are massive, dense and located in a very small region of their galaxy, but they also contribute the majority of the ultraviolet light coming from their host galaxy. Studying them with Webb is like having a front-row seat to see star formation and the inner workings of infant galaxies at such an unprecedented distance!

This discovery revolutionises our understanding how galaxies formed and how globular clusters came to be.

We're piecing together the puzzle of the Universe's history, one sparkly star cluster at a time!

so y'know the scene at the end of season three where Derek hallucinates stiles when he's like. dying? yeah au where that keeps happening but overtime, as stiles gets more and more magic, he actually is there. the post FBI raid is weird because Derek keeps waiting for stiles to disappear and stiles is just like AH FUCK NY TOE

when you're the only person who keeps living through the time loop, the people around you cease to be people and become mere characters. your treatment of them doesn't matter because they're not real and they won't remember. the only way to give anything meaning is to end the loop; their actions don't affect the loop and therefore are meaningless. you're the only one who has the ability to change the future, so anything you do in service of that goal is justified.

If Charles is canonically queer ( he probably is) it’s going to take a long ass time for him to recognize it if he hasn’t already. Queerness in the 80s was seen as dangerous and WHEN not if you died of AIDS, you deserved it.

Which brings me to my mini theory: Charles doesn’t go with death because he doesn’t want to risk going to hell, along with all the canonical reasons.

I really hope they explore that when they get a season two.
