i started rewatching mlp:fim (as of writing this i’m near the finale of s2) but even before that i’ve been wanting to make mlp designs for the shifter twins and they are now real!!! originally i wanted to make them reformed changelings but after rewatching i ended up making them ponies with weird powers because i wanted tons of liberties. while i would’ve liked to respect their tooniness i also adore the show style so i gave them pie eyes as a rubberhose regard!!

i changed their cutie marks (why was pumpkin cake’s a PIE) and some other details abt them, but thats really all

for the jewelry, i kept with the theme of each band being something that needs to be earned so i figured, neither of them would have 5 like zecora so i gave pandora 3 and evan 1!

so yeah, pandora is rainbow and evan is river :)

i'm really proud of these two ngl (they've probably involved the most actual creation beyond tracing so far)

Rough WIP sketches. I'm planning to finish a Witch AU Shadow first, but I wanted to get them up because their sketch was done first. Anyway, Desert Rose and Dusty Mesa are twins that work on a farm for Dakota Hickory in Hickory Hills. They're orphans, so they've come to see her as a surrogate mother. Also Desert Rose is mute which makes her shy, but so long as her brother is with her being able to interpret her quite easily, she has a lot more confidence than if she were alone.

Fun fact about them: They are actually both adoptables I got several years back from different people on deviantart. Part of the reason for Hickory Hills was so I could do something with OCs I otherwise had no plans for so I had a reason to flesh them out.

JELLY JAMBOREE AND PEANUT BRITTLE

Peanut Brittle Pie is the older of the two twins, only by a few minutes, but because of this he felt obligated to take care of his twin sister. Growing up PB was a much different pony, being much more akin to Fluttershy than Pinkie or Cheese. Peanut used to be, well, brittle. His loudmouth sister would make situations worse, and as much as he knew it was out of love he just was trying to live his best life, so he did. Peanut Brittle quickly shed the ladder half of his name, taking some training advice from his technically uncle Big Mac.

Rarely referred to as Peanut anymore, only by Jelly, PB is known around ponyville as the go-to pony for people that need to feel safe. PB is soft spoken, often letting people infer his intent which can lead him down some weird roads. In the Piewich household there needs to be some sweet glue keeping everything together, and that sweet gloopy mess is PB PIE

Jelly Jamboree is the younger PB n J twin, and the youngest (biological) Piewich child, including Lemon Cheesecakes (Lil' Cheese)! From a very young age Jelly expressed herself through music, banging on the pots and pans in Sugarcube Corner where the Cake Twins would stop by to babysit or visit. Lil tidbit on them, Pinkie and the Cakes asked them to expand the Sugarcube Corner business to have a location in Canterlot near Twilight.

At first JJ kept her music local to Pinkie and Cheese's events, being dubbed their "sweet jam surprise". It wasn't super long til Jelly was confident enough to accept a gig DJing the Grand Galloping Gala, now having a more upbeat section thanks to Princess Party Planner Officianato Pinkie. A few ponies of high status in the music industry heard her, and her career has been only uphill from there! Though she still lives in Ponyville with her family, it wouldn't feel like home without that 12 foot long crocodile or her shy brother she is needed to speak for
