Whatsapp group chat UI: Absolutely dreadful. Everyone else's messages comes from the left side of the screen and your messages are on the right side. This causes the unnecessary sensation of being the outlier. The only one different. Anxiety-inducing UI. Burn it in a dumpster.
Discord group chat UI: Well crafted and perfectly balanced. Every message stacks on top of another. What you see is what others see exactly. No feeling of being the outlier. This is the future of group chat UI.

discord's new mobile UI update was so egregiously dogshit on so many levels that I deleted the app and used APK to download an older version. good fucking riddance
like even for tumblr ive never gone that far but they changed placement of dms, searching is infinitely more cluttered and difficult, right swipes are now replies to messages like whatsapp instead of showing the member list and search bar... on top of the eyestrain dark mode + font change... and it's ALL irreversible? bitch BYE

What's happening to AO3 right now?
As you may have noticed already, Archive of Our Own is currently down. This is temporary, but unfortunately.. we now know that this is much deeper than we thought.
AO3 is currently the victim of a DDOS attack orchestrated by "Anonymous Sudan"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description: two images.
First image is a post from Anonymous Sudan, translated to read:
❗️The reason of our attack is simple: It's part of our campaign targeting companies registered in the United States. The operators of this site is "Organization for Transformative Works (OTW)" who are registered in the United States. In addition to that, we are against all forms of degeneracy and the site is full of disgusting smuts and other LGBTQ+ and NSFW things. We bring you the good news that we will continue attacking for hours on end.
The second image are two Whatsapp messages in the group Anonymous Sudan. The UI is in the cryllic alphabet. The first message is the same as the first image. The new message reads:
The attack will continue for another 5 - 24 hours. End description.]
Why? Because AO3 is home to thousands of LGBTQIA+ content and lots of NSFW content. They're doing this as an Anti-LGBTQ+ attack. If they're doing this for or from America specifically, we're not sure. But this is what AO3 is facing at this time.
What can we do?
Spread the word. Spread the fucking word. I'll be providing updates to my Tumblr page directly from the r/AO3 subreddit. I know that not everyone here is comfortable using Reddit, so I'm taking the blow for you. I cannot access Twitter though.
And please, whatever you do...
Stop using the Archive of Our Own website at this time.
The moderators, showrunners, and service providers all need to repair the damage done by this group. The amount of data flooding in from people trying to log in will cause more problems. Keep yourselves off of the website.

[Image description: a Twitter thread from AO3 Status (@/AO3_Status). It reads:
The Archive is experiencing some issues (as many of you have noticed). We’re looking into it, please stand by!
We apologize for any distress caused, and we’ll do our best to be back soon! As we’re running on volunteer power, we can’t always act on server hiccups as quickly as we’d like. Thank you for your patience! 🫶
Very sorry we can’t give you your fanwork fix right now, or a time estimate for when AO3 will be back. Welcome to all our new followers, and sorry we had to meet like this. 😬 Please stick around for the happier updates! 🌸
It looks like the Archive is under a DDoS attack causing the servers to fall over. Our volunteer sysadmins are working on countermeasures. Please be patient with us, we’ll be back!
A DDOS attack is when an attacker attempts to knock a site offline by overwhelming it with requests: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack. Data is not compromised in a DDOS attack, so there is no need to change your password at this time.
A group presenting themselves as a collective of religiously and politically motivated hackers has claimed responsibility for the attack. Experts do not believe they are honest about their motivation, so we urge caution in believing any reasoning they provide for targeting A03.
landscaping-your-mind
Essentially:
The AO3 is a victim of a DDoS attack by a group called Anonymous Sudan, reportedly for hosting LGBT and NSFW content, however this is not confirmed and their reasoning is doubted.
A DDoS attack attempts to overload a system with a lot of requests, stopping actual requests from getting through.
This does not compromise any data, so changing passwords is not advised/necessary.
It is unknown when the AO3 will come back online.
Do not attempt to access the AO3 at this time.

Ultimate Facts About WhatsApp Chatbot for Business Integration
Tumblr media
It is no longer enough for companies to only be present on select customer communication channels. is the era of omnichannel and omnipresent communication. Consumers today expect to be able to communicate with brands via the channels they prefer, whenever and wherever they like. They also expect fast responses to their questions.
Or they risk causing customers to leave and take their business elsewhere. How can companies meet the increasing demands of consumers?
Implement chatbots.
Chatbots, which are automated tools that engage customers in conversation, allow companies to answer customers' questions while reducing the number of resources required. Chatbots can be used by companies to assist prospects in navigating their websites and making purchases. Chatbots are not available on all companies' websites. WhatsApp chatbots are here to help.
This article explores WhatsApp chatbots. It explains what they are and whether they should be used. We also discuss how to create one.
What is a WhatsApp chatbot, and how does it work?
WhatsApp chatbots sound exactly like what they are: chatbots that are run on WhatsApp. They function in the same way as other chatbots: they send customers messages, respond to their queries, and help them navigate their purchasing journey.
WhatsApp chatbots are the latest version of chatbot technology. Chatbots are a powerful tool that can improve the customer experience and reduce unnecessary customer service costs. This has been recognized by companies for a long time.
WhatsApp chatbots offer the same level of customer support and service as regular chatbots. WhatsApp chatbots are available to consumers who don't have to visit the websites of companies.
WhatsApp chatbots offer the best of both worlds. Chatbots provide 24/7 service and respond instantly to customers' questions. These chatbots allow companies to do more without scaling up their customer service teams.
WhatsApp has over 2 billion active monthly users and is growing each year. This is a channel that consumers know and love, which makes it ideal for customer support. Companies can reach consumers directly, offering proactive support that is more likely to increase engagement.
Customers can send a quick WhatsApp message to get a response in a matter of minutes instead of visiting your website and logging in to track the order status.

good evening! so sorry to bother you with this bc I'm 95% sure it's been asked and answered before, but if you have the time/spoons/inclination, I'd really appreciate a nudge towards the site(s)/app(s) you use to do your social media/text fakes! I've found some basic ones but nothing that gives as high-level results as yours so I figured I might as well ask. thank you for all your awesome work!
for twitter and tumblr i just used firefox devtools (ctrl+shift+c) to edit the text and then edited them afterward in gimp to change the avatars or any image attachments. i did something similar for youtube. for whatsapp i think i used whatever 'fake text generator' i found that worked in a browser and looked halfway to accurate, but they were all nightmares to use and might not exist anymore (there are fake text apps, but they all suck and stick watermarks on things; in a browser i can just take a screenshot myself to avoid that). there is probably a lesson to be learned in the fact that the whatsapp texts are my most popular and also look the absolute shittiest.
for twitter DMs, discord chat, and the fake chat app i just invented, i just. made them from scratch. i think i had a subscription to photoshop but these days i use affinity designer (which i like a lot better actually and it has a lot of built-in tools for designing a ui which come in very handy for designing a fake ui). you could probably do similar or the same in gimp, i just don't actually like using gimp. twitter DMs turned out the worst because i actually got the font VERY wrong (i do not DM people on twitter so trying to recreate it was a nightmare, at the time the twitter app looked subtly but completely different from web twitter so it really fucked me out of using devtools). discord also didn't turn out perfect but since i basically just screenshotted discord and tried to recreate my screenshot as closely as possible before changing the avatars and text i don't think it turned out too bad.
these days discord is more popular so you might be able to find fake text generators for it, i haven't actually looked. i have to assume imessage generators are also more ubiquitous, i just can't convince myself that batman would use an iphone
