Every time Ronin kisses you, you feel his grin on your mouth.

Not that it's the worst thing. Objectively, this should be the least of your worries. But sometimes his teeth knock against yours, and it feels like you're middle-schoolers trying your hand at a sweet first kiss. You kiss and kiss and kiss again — it never seems to go away, that damning smile of his. So you talk to him.

"Ronin," you tell him breathlessly one time, your face a hair's breadth from his; your eyes hazy, lazy, and half-lidded, "I can't kiss you properly if you keep smiling and laughing."

He'd only grinned again: a sly, sly thing. His thumb traces circles under your jaw. "Thought I was kissin' you pretty well there, baby. Weren't you enjoying it at all?"

"Ronin," you try again — but he outright laughs, this time, and you flush indignantly.

"So desperate, so pathetic," he says, and presses his joyous mouth right on yours. It lasts: one moment, two moments, three moments, four. Just as you begin to melt into him, he pulls away. Ronin laughs again at the look on your face: want, want, want. "What a pretty, pathetic darlin'. All for me, hm?"

 You sigh, leaning down to hide your face in his neck. "God, you're horrible."

He gasps mockingly. "Fuck, really? Hadn't noticed."

"Ronin."

"And to ask me to give up one of my only means to express joy?" he continues, thumbing at the space under your ear. You shiver, sighing into his neck. "Such a cruel lover. You're trying to ruin me, aren'tcha?"

"Fuck you," you mutter, eyes fluttering shut.

"Brutal," Ronin says, grinning, and coaxes you from your hiding spot. "Fuckin' wicked, baby." 

When he kisses you again, you think he's doing it on purpose: bumping his teeth into yours, his lips slipping past your own and onto your cheek; and his smile, stretching wider than ever.

Cole’s love language HAS to do with food, in the sense that he will happily eat five minute hot water noodles for an entire week but when it comes to everyone he cares about he will stand up and cook, even if he can’t.

Whether in his found family, his dad, and friends, whatever, he will stand a COOK for them. He will gently guide (trick and manipulate) Zane out of the kitchen, lock himself inside, and make something as edible as his hands can make. And the oven. If it’s still standing.

Despite his annoyance, Zane and his observant ahh (with Kai’s help) realised what exactly Cole was doing and started giving that train wreck cooking lessons. Sometimes the others join when they’re cooking something specific.

Kai with cooking anything spicy or crunchy, Jay with anything liquid like, Nya with baking random desserts, Lloyd with anything that involves meat because he is terrifyingly good with uncooked bloody meat and no one knows why??? And Wu with seafood.

Little did they know Cole’s manipulative little “*sigh* Zane’s so good at teaching but he can be so strict sometimes, it would be so nice to have someone else help me too…” and “Zane seems so stressed recently, but he still wants to do the cooking lessons…if only someone could help him…” to get them into the cooking lessons so he can get them to (manipulatively) say what their favourite food or what to cook/bake is was MANIPULATION. You know. If that wasn’t obvious.

Because it apparently wasn’t to the well trained ninja and ninja master. Its like outside of missions they lose all brain cells and forget who exactly they are. None of them realise Cole has now found out what their favourite food is and now over the years they keeps finding plates of said fave food in front of their doors late at night. Which slowly begin to actually look like said favourite foods as the years go by.

so a couple years ago my workplace partnered with Kyle MacLachlan on some stuff and my boss was SO excited to meet him, she's in her 60s and watched Twin Peaks when it aired and she was trying to explain Dale Cooper to me with so much elated, dreamy affection, and it was very cute but it didn't really land, right. Kyle was super sweet in person and her blorbo sounded nice, but the character synopsis didn't really get through to me. HOWEVER. This woman has since retired so I don't see her daily but now that I'm watching Twin Peaks I feel the nigh-overwhelming urge to track her down and grab her urgently and say

The way I approach love stories is so interesting, like I care not for both sexual and romantic part, both don't exactly need to be present for you to see that characters trust each other and feel safe

Same with family, platonic stuff and friendships, feelings of trust and whatever else worth so much in all of this

Love story being a love story just means it'll happen faster and more... Boldly?? Bc that's the main focus and all

Also since people love romance so much you get more stuff in the fandom win/win

Although I'd say it took me a loooong time to get into anything, because I rarely see something and go THAT'S A SHIP! nah, that's a friendship, that's cute and sweet

Then we have toxic stuff and that's the intoxicating codependency that makes me want to analyze it all, like wow those characters are horrible to each other

But I usually have like two to balance each other, bc as funny toxic stuff is, I want some sweet stuff be it a friendship or a healthy ship

now <jumin3 one of my og unapproachable, dark haired faves who stuck out as my fave immediately the first time i played the game. and seeing as you’ve only played it once, i just gonna guess you didn’t play his route as you have to buy it with hourglasses SO LET ME INTRODUCE YOU

imagine all the stereotypes of the archetypes of my faves: antisocial, unapproachable, seemingly always feeling down, sarcastic (!!! this man is so funny, but he isn’t even aware). oh, and a devoted cat dad, which is how we like it

now, jaehee was the one who suggested they invite me to the RFA charity fundraiser — i do administrative work in a smaller, less known company. at the fundraiser tho, we don’t talk much really at first until he witnesses me snap at zen (im not a fan) which he finds amusing. after that we engage in some general small talk that eventually leads to an agreement where we can see it profitable to cooperate on some projects.

both of us have a tendency to take on quite a lot, so we end up working overtime — meaning late evenings in the office 🫣.with time, things just grow a little… comfortable? i think that’s the right word to describe it. the conversations stray a little from business every now and then

however, it takes some time before we both realise. and it wasn’t one who fell before the other. it was a very sudden and unison experience. at a company party, it kind of just hits us at the same time (to quote tfios, suddenly then all at once)

i am sure his middle name is ‘efficiency’, because at that party he asks if i would like to join him for dinner an evening, not work related… just the two of us — but man is too dense to realise that is what we call a date

anyways… he doesn’t spare a dime. takes me to the finest restaurant in the city, everything already planned and all expenses paid. and it’s one hell of an evening, i’ll tell you that. jumin han is nothing if not a gentleman. however, even though we were both quite smitten at this point, i think what really sealed the deal for him was the fact that i straight up told him “as nice as this all is, i don’t need it. the luxury, the money, the expensive dinners.” i think this is very unexpected to him, but he appreciates it — it’s just the way he has been used to doing things yk

all in all, he is secretly a really soft guy who just needs a little loving yk — which i’ll happily do
