It definitely can! Remember it's a bit acidic. Sweat can also contribute to a sour taste. It's also very normal for the exact taste/scent/consistency of vaginal secretions to change throughout your cycle.

In case you don't know; it's completely normal for your darker underwear to be a bit bleached in front. It's nothing you did, vaginal discharge just does that sometimes.

vaginal discharge is generally acidic, which is what leads it to bleach the black underwear (think putting lemon juice in your hair and then going out in the sun, to lighten your hair).

the staining is likely because, although it's acidic, the discharge has colorful substances (the yellow or brown tinges) that can stain the white fabric, but isn't a purified / manufactured acidic substance (like white vinegar), so it doesn't have any actual cleaning properties that would cancel out the staining.
