Well, it's official. I have Shingles. AGAIN.
For those not in the loop, I've had Shingles once before, in March of 2023. 3 weeks ago, I attempted to get the vaccine for Shingles from my VA doctor, who point-blank refused, in direct opposition to CDC guidelines. So, now, I get to suffer through this disease once again.
If you value Veterans, don't thank us for our service. Contact your state and federal elected officials, and make it clear that your vote for them is dependant on their record in regards to veteran care.
We don't need words. We need actions.

Project 2025's economic plan is essentially let billionaires do whatever the hell they want more than ever before with more tax breaks, privatizing/stripping away Medicare, social security, & the VA, deporting 10 million people, many of whom have lived here since they were children, turning 40 hour work weeks into 160 hour work months & allowing companies to get away with not paying overtime, etc. i would count what they want to do with LGBTQIA+ people is also part of their economic plan because sending them to concentration camps or simply executing them for existing as they are would probably cost tax payer dollars.

Another short clip of another former IDF soldier angry with politicians who continue to send conscripts to war & provide no psychological support once their service has ended and they are "damaged goods" with PTSD.

The first appropriations bill has made it to the floor. This resolution was approved by the Rules Committee on Monday, June 3rd, and will bring the Military Construction/Veterans Affairs appropriations bill up for a vote, along with a bill concerning the International Criminal Court.
The rule must pass first before debate can open on the spending bill.

Perceptron learning, generalization, model selection, fault tolerance, and their role in the deep learning era have broad applications in various industries, including the federal government. Here are a few ways these concepts could impact the federal government:
1. Perceptron Learning: Perceptron learning is a simple algorithm used in machine learning to classify data into two categories. In the federal government, perceptron learning could be used for various tasks, such as detecting fraud in financial transactions, predicting the likelihood of a terrorist attack, or identifying potential cybersecurity threats.
2. Generalization: In machine learning, generalization refers to the ability of a model to perform well on new, unseen data. In the federal government, generalization could be used to develop models that can accurately predict the outcome of a new policy or program.
3. Model Selection: Model selection is the process of choosing the best model from a set of candidate models. In the federal government, model selection could be used to select the best model for predicting the outcome of a policy or program, such as the impact of a new trade agreement on the economy.
4. Fault Tolerance: Fault tolerance refers to the ability of a system to continue operating despite the failure of one or more components. In the federal government, fault tolerance could be used to ensure the continuity of critical systems, such as those used for national defense or emergency response.
5. Role in the Deep Learning Era: Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses neural networks with multiple layers to learn from data. In the federal government, deep learning could be used for various tasks, such as image and speech recognition, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
Overall, the concepts of perceptron learning, generalization, model selection, fault tolerance, and their role in the deep learning era could have a significant impact on the federal government. These concepts could be used to develop models and systems that can help the government make better decisions, improve efficiency, and enhance national security.

Together we served
Tumblr media
Sure… This is probably not the post you think it is. It’s Veteran’s day, which if you don’t know me or haven’t seen my previous posts on the matter, I’m not a huge fan of it. Sure, celebrations, free food, blah, blah, blah, all great. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to come off as the person who doesn’t like a party, or worse someone who wants to berate people for having fun. No, I just don’t…

Status update for FY2024
All bills have cleared the House Subcommittees. All but four have cleared Senate Committees, and all but two have cleared House Committees. None have been voted on on the floor yet, but that may change with H.R. 4366, Military Construction/Veterans funding, now being debated. https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/4366
We are just over two months out but there are signs of progress, but little optimism.
