FMK: Shepherds of Haven
Here's the wheel of spinning!
Note 1: I didn't include Mimir or Neon since they're both aroace and it felt wrong to me to put them in the running when "fuck" is an option. Yes, not all aces are sex repulsed, but since I don't know their stance on it, I decided to error on the side of caution.
Note 2: If you land on "A Faceless Lord", you get to pick which one! (Pretend this is me being magnanimous instead of getting tired and not wanting to look up how to spell all their names to add them individually, lol!)

Thinking about Chase being the person to coin the term “Hero of Haven”. Can you imagine if you had a key role in turning the person who would be the love of your life into a myth? Into a paragon? You had a hand in immortalizing someone you didn’t think would mean so much to you. Would mean everything.
Maybe you condemned them with a cheeky epithet.

Little dog went on a city walk today and did perfectly!
I’m hoping to take the BH test with Kaija sometime next year and wanted to see where she’s at with her manners in a busy urban environment. I've taken her downtown a few times before, but it's not a regular thing for us (since we'd both rather spend our time wandering around in the middle of a forest & away from people lol), so I'm really happy with how well she behaved.
Kaija wasn't fazed by noisy 18-wheelers and trams, by scooters whizzing by unexpectedly, or by yelling, running children. She could calmly walk past other dogs and didn't attempt to approach or greet people unless they interacted with her first. We also stopped for a coffee at a dog-friendly cafe, where Kaija chewed her bully stick and then promptly fell asleep. Good dog! :)

Malyshka is such a sweet, loyal, well behaved dog. I'm honestly really proud of raising her, considering the difficulty of training her breed(s)
Great Pyrenees are stubborn, independent, get bored easily, and are not food motivated. Anatolian Shepherds are possessive and highly protective, so they need to be excessively socialized to avoid aggression towards strangers/other dogs

The bunny project
Wanless Journal entry #23
My day wasn't supposed to end up in a wild chase to find that stuffed rabbit Caine lost. (Note: Give the kid advice on how to not lose his things. Or other people's things.)
We did end up finding the rabbit near a bunch of small cats who tore that stuffed animal to it's last threads. I said to the kid to take it back, but Caine insisted his friend, Claire, wouldn't mind. Why he made that decision without Claire's input, I don't know. Nevertheless, I just offered to make him a new one. He was skeptical that I could sew and make things because in his words, "You just don't look like the type of man to do, like, crafty things, you know?". Like yeah, whatever that means. But I couldn't help but check my appearance earlier and I still don't get his point. But who cares, I don't know what someone "crafty" is supposed to look like.
But alas, it happened. And it...wasn't bad. The kid was happy. He gave me some weird card of Tallys(?) as a reward, which I just stuffed in my pocket. I was more annoyed he put his ENTIRE NAME on that damn board. Careless brat. Did no one teach him that his name could be used against him?
(Note: Force Red to give Caine lessons on magical name manipulation.)
Either way, I haven't gotten to sew anything for a while now that I have enough money not to refurbish clothes, so I might've pricked my fingers a few times. I had to use my only pillow to make that rabbit, but that's not really relevant, I'm used to sleeping on a flat surface most of the time anyways. Shery looked at me some weird way when I mentioned that fact, just like the time she found me sleeping on the floor one day. But her concern is not of my concern.
Gods, that girl cares too much.
But to end this stupid journal, that Shery, once again, somehow convinced me that I should do.
It...was fun. As long as he's happy, I'm hap- Why is this so embarrassing to write? It's not like anyone's gonna read this kak but me. I set up multiple enchantments so no one, especially Caine could find and open this book. Not that I'd expect him to read through people's things. He's a good kid.

That w359 post is why the only non-Hephaestus AU I've posted about was the community college employees one because working at a community college is roughly equivalent to working on a crumbling space station in terms of pressure cooker environments that bond you through trauma. Yesterday I got calls and texts that there was a tornado but the college never turned the interior alert system on. Then an hour later I was on lunch break and the water stopped working because they'd turned it off to do a test at 11:30. Then two hours after that we lost internet for 30 minutes. The facilities guy told us he personally won't drink the water but refused to elaborate.

thinking about retainer gaius again and specifically gaius being lucina’s cool uncle/surrogate dad in the bad future after chrom dies. he tells her all sorts of embarrassing stories about chrom that frederick wouldn’t dare speak of for fear of dishonoring his liege’s memory. lucina finds it so funny that chrom apparently never bothered to peel his oranges when he was in a hurry, and gaius tracks down some candied orange peels for her to complete the joke, even though fruit is extremely hard to come by during the apocalypse

TY @asian-ascian for this @shepherds-of-haven relationship chart that I spent so much time on 💙 it’s fun to be insane about these little guys. Anyway under the cut as promised is more about Chase and Niamh’s relationship because I’m super normal about them.
Chase gives Niamh much needed permission to be just a little selfish for once. He protects her from her fate as a martyr, as she is inclined to become, keeps her from pouring from an empty cup, and uses his own to fill hers without complaint, without expectation of return. Niamh is a lighthouse, not an anchor for him. She won’t stifle him, but she is that constant that he can come home to. Safety, a beacon of sorts. She is often stuck in her own head with her thoughts and Chase is very good at pulling her out of that and knowing when she needs it. I think also they are very in-tune with each other, and anticipating the other’s needs (not wants) is a big part of it. I think to her, Chase is most willing to see her as a person and not this holder of enormous power or some mysterious creature. He knows her without pretense, and she, with some patience learns him just as well.
