Oldies, but Goldies ~ Nothing better than every hero on the same page and seeing them all being aged like fine wine. All my canon heroes (HoF, Hawke and Inquisitor) are keeping mementos from their past companions and even wearing some of them. No age shaming on my part, I'm not that far from Inquisitor myself xD Just Rook being sarcastic little ass and getting her place shown by the others.

Brittle hair bleached white in living death, pale skin stretched tight over blackening veins, darkening in splotches like a bruised fruit beginning to rot. Silver-white eyes stared out from their gaunt hollows like distant stars in a dark sky. A short life packed with too much violence had left its mark in the mangled elven ears and the scar-torn vallaslin of Falon'Din, the markings of one who dealt death, and who would soon be dead.

Tell Me About Your Dragon Age Canon!

Since Bioware decided to ignore basically all of the keep decisions we've made throughout the series😒, I thought we could put together a community post where you can share your personal dragon age canon. Reblog with as much or as little detail as you want, photos or drawings are more then welcome. This fandom is so creative with characters and storylines and I really want a place we can all celebrate it. So please tell me about your Thedas!

29-32, design for the act 3 Timeline in Dragon Age 2 when you can encounter Alistair as Hawke. This is what Sparrow looks like, I suppose the outfit's color scheme will be a bit inspired by what he wears in the late game of the Awakening DLC ? All though that armor might be too old by then.. So it's a refurbished or new set.

I might draft a few more outfits for him, but he looks a lil skinnier when he gets older (at least in the face) Cheekbones get more prominent and his hair thins out somewhat. (He cuts it shorter too and slicks it back more.)

I... I can't draw beards very well still, it shouldn't look this awkward on Alistair but more like in the comic. (And Yes they have a height difference.)

Depending on who's penning, he has more facial hair it seems. He probably shaves it from time to time.

Replaying DA:I and I know this only really works with my specific world state but I like to headcanon that the grey warden’s journal found on the storm coast is actually my Mahariel searching for a drunkard Alistair before setting off on her quest to end the calling.

Like, a dalish grey warden in northern fereldan searching for ‘one of our most skilled warriors’? Sounds like Mahariel and Alistair to me. Plus riordan’s grey whiskey and a warden commander badge found in the storm coast camps? Both of those make sense for Mahariel to have and carry on her.

But there’s also the juicy drama of it all. See the friendship of my warden and Alistair was rocky from the start. Despite liking Alistair well enough, My warden could never get over his overwhelming naïveté. The way he still see’s the wardens as honourable organization to take pride in clashed too much with her experience of being taken from her clan, denied even the ability to die among them in peace. His idolization of Duncan, a man who ripped her away from her family, subjected her to a horrific ritual she didn’t even want, and killed two men in cold blood before her very eyes didn’t help much. (Neither did romancing Morrigan tbh xD) But the real tipping point was Loghain. When Mahariel thought death was too kind for him, she took her own anger at the wardens out on him, subjecting him to the same conscription she had been forced to go through. And all it cost her was her oldest surviving friend (sans merrill :p)

Alistair left fereldan and Mahariel has probably regretted it ever since. After hearing he’d been dragged back to fereldan by Teagan, I like to think she immediately headed out for the storm coast, along with all her awakening companions who had stuck around, to try and patch things up, to convince him to join her quest. But when she couldn’t find him, when she couldn’t even claw back one thing from the order that had taken so much from her, she threw her badge aside and swore she would be free of the order and it’s calling if it was the last thing she did.

I know it wasn’t intended but that all lines up too fucking good. choosing to say this is canon to my Worldstate 🤭
