Any new upcoming series with w/w?
Lol, I had a whole answer typed up and almost completed last night, I could only remember a few upcoming shows but added a bunch of ongoing and recent with descriptions and then the post editor hiccuped and removed most of it so I angrily went to sleep instead.
But maybe that was for the best, because this morning a video of upcoming f/f shows in April came out so now I can add a few more.
There's Dead Ringers, that show with Rachel Weisz playing twin gynecologists and since it's a genderbent adaptation of an existing movie we already know it's gonna be super messy. It would be pretty wild for Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies to not have some wlw and luckily it does, the trailer itself reveals a couple. Tiny Beautiful Things, with Kathryn Hahn and Sarah Pidgeon (Leah in The Wilds) playing her younger self, apparently Kathryn Hahn's character's daughter is queer. Slip is a kinda scifi, where a bored wife cheats on her husband and realizes every time she has sex with someone, she wakes up married to them. The show's about her trying to get back to her original life, and there are a series of different husbands, but also a few wives (also, the first "replacement" husband is played by Boorman's actor from Willow!). There are also the upcoming Thai dramas Be Mine, Reverse 4 You, and 23.5, as previously mentioned.
In terms of returning series coming back, there's the Disney cartoon The Owl House, getting its final ep. Single Drunk Female's second season is returning soon. It has a bi lead, and she did have a female love interest but it was pretty temporary compared to the will they/won't she has with the main character male love interest. Her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, also a very main character, is a lesbian, and she's married but her wife's actress is a regular on another show now so I dunno if she'll be back.
Welcome to Eden, a Spanish thriller about people trapped on an island with a cult, ended the first season on a major cliffhanger so it'll be exciting to see what happens now, though it feels like anyone could die so that's a bit nerve-wracking. It has a lot of different kinds of rep, f/f, m/m, trans, one of the gay guys is deaf too and it's a plot point that his boyfriend won't learn sign even though his friends have.
The Epix series From is a pretty well done horror series about people trapped in a town and who get hunted at night, it's more ominous and suspenseful than outright gory. It actually has three wlw, though one is mostly with one guy, the one who's engaged to a woman outside the town seems to be about to start a romance with another guy, and one is a teen who's crushing on the first woman, feels unrequited. I didn't know about any of them when I started, so they're a bonus, the show itself is rather compelling.
As for current shows, The Power (lol, get it, current) started last night on Prime, it's nice that after the misreading of Class of '07, this new show about girls does immediately have a wlw. Gap's already finished but it made such a splash, if you haven't watched, I'll mention it again. The other Thai drama, Show Me Love, is still airing. Fantasy Island is honestly kind of sweet, it feels like one of those '90s shows, episodic, bright colors and optimism, and great guest stars. One of the two leads, I'd say, or at least the second billed main, is queer.
We got our three firefighter shows, 9-1-1 with a solid (now) established relationship, Fire Country, a lesbian character but not much screentime, and of course Station 19, which is honestly winning me back in a huge way with their current storyline (if they land it).
Cop wlw update (why are there so many of them!): NCIS Hawai'i remains super cute, especially when Lucy is on, looks like Ayanna on Law & Order: Organized Crime got herself a new gf with a super hot voice, The Rookie: Feds still has Niecy Nash playing a super likable and bi lead. I couldn't stand the egregious copaganda in FBI: Most Wanted, and like, imagine how bad it'd have to be, when I can still watch all the rest of these shows, but Sheryll's still there, so. Sin Huellas (No Traces) has already finished but gets another mention for being as funny as it was, with a cute, hot couple at the center. Rabbit Hole's just started, but the initial antagonist/probable grudging ally's an FBI lady who within the first 10 minutes of the first ep dropped that she had a wife. Van der Valk has started its third season and though I'm gonna keep hoping Lucienne's INCREDIBLY hot ex from 2x03 returns, Lucienne, second billed, is plenty hot by herself. Ariana Guerra, who played the novitiate in Helstrom, has joined the second season of CSI: Vegas. Her character's bi and has a main character boyfriend but he seems like he'll most likely end up with a different character.
I'm not really going through these in any particular order, except combining the above two types, but let me just blow through the rest of the ongoing shows: the Canadian family comedy Run the Burbs has been quite sweet in how it's written the teen daughter, How I Met Your Father comes across as an old fashioned sitcom, except one of the characters is a lesbian. It's kind of fun in its familiarity and low stakes. I didn't expect to be as drawn into The Watchful Eye as I did, the trailer felt quite soapy and it was, at times, but all the nannies were great, and I ended up quite liking the f/f side couple. It's amazing what actual personalities can do. :o A Million Little Things is winding down its final season and Grace Park's character is engaged to Cameron Esposito's character so it feels pretty endgame at this point.
If you didn't watch or stopped watching Carnival Row because the main m/f relationship seemed so especially trite, you maaaay want to give it another look. I'm not nearly caught up with Bel-Air, but in the first season they wrote Ashley's sexuality really well, especially since she's so young. I'm sure you can't have missed my Perry Mason gifsets by now, but I can only reiterate what a great character Della Street is. One of the kids in Gotham Knights is bi (and her brother is trans!) but I'm not sure it's worth getting invested before cancellation. Unless the CW is only going to keep projects involving the Supernatural trio?
At this point, hoping everyone who's into wlw has at least tried Yellowjackets or is aware enough of it to know they don't want to try it. Las Pelotaris 1926 is a Spanish language historical drama about female athletes playing--well, the sport is basque pelota but if you need a reference point, it's like squash or racquetball. If you haven't yet caught up with RWBY, now would be an okay time. Lastly, I've still never watched any of Riverdale or even Choni clips, but its final season has just started and you know, I gotta respect the longevity of whatever they've been doing with them, however up and down they seem to have been, and perhaps this final season will be an up. From what I've seen on SM, they seem to get endgame soulmatey treatment more than any of the other ships and I can respect that.
Aside from the Thai dramas that might air after April and a few of the other shows that ended their seasons in March (or February in Gap's case), all of these have eps airing this month. After this year of cancellations, I think it's worth enjoying what we can, even as we acknowledge how much lead/main character rep and longevity we're losing. :o

The weirdest thing to me in all of this is when I came out - back like 10+ years ago.
I spent a lot of time figuring out my sexuality on my own& I like queer best- it fit what I felt. I tried our bi- but that didn’t quite feel right. I knew I liked girls & I knew all the times in the past I genuinely liked guys- but to be honest at that time I just really wanted a girlfriend. So I wasn’t sure if I was a lesbian or bi, or something else - but I liked the weird implication of queer. That it was fringe and counter culture & political.
I first told a friend I thought I was queer. My best friend in college & she was super supportive & asked me questions & one of them was, she asked if that meant I was trans- and I was like nope nope nope I was mistaken I’m not queer I’m a lesbian. A woman who likes women- that’s it. (Because I was scared that she recognized the transness in me)
So a few weeks later I came out to my parents I said I was gay (bc I knew the word lesbian would be a major issue & I was right) they reacted so horribly. Just cruel and awful- saying things to my face with such disgust and hatred.
They tried to buy/bribe me to be straight & stop the nonsense - with an aquamarine ring & I handed it right back.
So I was like fuck that - I have no respect for either of you anymore- but I’m very much financially dependent on you & terrified I’ll get put in conversion therapy or brought back home from college.
But I didn’t back down. I got a girlfriend- who eventually became my fiancé, who is now my wife.
But the whole time we were together- I felt like I had to prove how much of a lesbian I was- that I hated men- I think a big part of that was of how my parents reacted.
Like I couldn’t think any man or masculine person was attractive because then they would win.
But now I’m finally free of them & I’ve come out as gender fluid- happily accepted that being a gay man is part of my gender. & I’m finally ready to admit that yes- men are attractive
But it’s hard I still feel wrong like I have to hide it
Which is weird because I feel like it’s normally the other way around

5 Sapphic Films to Watch This Pride Month
Tumblr media
Carol (2015) directed by Todd Haynes
Films and entertainment remain to be one of the most important platforms for the representation of minorities including the LGBTQIA+ community. Although discrimination has more or less ceased as time passed on since the times of the Stonewall riots in 1969, misunderstandings and hate crimes continue in our modern-day society, and films have served as a source of hope and acceptance for many people. Hence, here are five films that you may watch to feel understood, comforted, and accepted:
Tumblr media
Directed by William Wyler
The Children’s Hour (1961)
Starring Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine, ‘The Children’s Hour’ shows how much change could happen in your life due to even the slightest rumor of being gay or lesbian. Considering the time this movie was released which was in 1961 before the community was given rights, I could only imagine the amount of impact it could have given someone out there to hear Audrey Hepburn say:
You’re guilty of nothing!
This film clearly depicts the guilt that one feels for being so-called different or irregular from others for finding themselves capable of loving the same sex just as any other person deserves to be loved. This was one of the most heartbreaking endings I've witnessed in cinema, and I may follow up with a separate review for it.
Tumblr media
Directed by Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinert
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
This film has got to be one of my favorite watches of this year. Not only was it able to take my late-night thoughts about the world and visualize them on screen, but it was also able to depict the hard relationships most kids have with their parents whether Asian, gay, or not.
I’m tired. I don’t want to hurt anymore and for some reason when I’m with you it just hurts the both of us.
It’s hard wanting to love someone that doesn’t accept you for who you are or constantly points out your flaws and denies the person you’ve become, and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ is an action-packed film that makes you ponder more on that thought and how the world cycles around each individual.
Tumblr media
Directed by Sammi Cohen
Crush (2022)
For quite a while now, people have been pleading for a queer film wherein homophobia isn’t the main conflict, and finally, released in the second quarter of this year, ‘Crush’ delivers the people’s desires. Although it is important to spread the realities of queerness and the harassment the community faces, it is sometimes alienating to only witness films that include the same plot of coming out and not being accepted by the people you love most.
'Crush' is set in a world wherein not only are the main characters queer but so are the background or irrelevant characters. It is written just like any other rom-com out there featuring a man and a woman and feeds more into the fact that queerness is normal.
Tumblr media
Directed by Park Chan-wook
The Handmaiden (2016)
‘The Handmaiden’ sits at the top of my favorite films of all time, in general, and is because of the plentiful amount of plot twists that had me gaping my mouth and gasping unlike any other film has caused me to do before. This film made by the acclaimed director Park Chan-wook is less of a comforting but rather suspenseful film, and what I love most about it is that he managed to create a story centered around a same-sex love trope without having it be the only and complete plot.
If I were asked what movie I would choose to watch for the first time ever once again, my choice would be 'The Hanmaiden' with no hesitation.
Tumblr media
Directed by Céline Sciamma
Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)
‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire’ is an Academy award-winning film wherein we witness the loss two people have at freely expressing their love for each other through a beautifully written and directed cinematic sequence. Set in the 1700s wherein their relationship could never have been successful with the lives they wanted to live, we are left to only imagine what could have been if Héloïse and Marianne lived in a different time or if one of them had been a man.
This film allows you to realize the amount of privilege straight people have to be able to love however and whoever they want to, while the LGBTQ+ community is almost forced to keep half of their lives unlived, especially in the prior years of history.

the archer theory about taylor swift coming out.
well, i've seen some people talking about this song and i had to listen to it again, since it's one of my favorite songs on lover and it also has to do with the theories and the meaning this song has to me.
i don't want to apply this to anyone so feel free to SKIP and NOT READ if you don't agree that this is a LGBTQIA+ song.
pure my own interpretation but you don't have to come to me if you don't like, she has a lot of songs and some of them are free for interpretations and they have different meanings to different people.
the first line it's:
“combat, i'm ready for combat / i say i don't want that but what if i do?”
this line to me has the deepest meaning and it comes along with the one in you are in love “and you will understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars” and in ivy “this is the goddamn fight of my life and you started it” and both songs are before and after the archer which makes the archer in the middle.
the combat she's (maybe) referring to it's about coming out being (still) the american dream and the woman everyone looks up to when it comes to pop music, she says she don't want it but what if she does? what if she want to fight for it, fight for who she is and who she wants people to see that she really is? it's a combat because you can't come out if you're not ready to start a war against the world.
“cause cruelty wins in the movies / i've got a hundred thrown-out speeches i almost said to you”
cruelty here, to me, it's about how cruel it is to not have the story of your life in the big screen, like, we grow up seeing the bad stories about LGBTQIA+ couples and it's always about how they didn't end up together or how bad they are treated. the “speeches i almost said to you" looks like something she was ready to say to us, her fans, and she didn't had the chance or she wasn't really ready.
“easy they come, easy they go / i jump from the train, i ride off alone / i never grow up it's getting so old, help me hold on to you”
when i first saw the miss americana documentary, i highlighted that part where she is trying to convince her father and the rest of the team that it was a good idea/good move to speak up about the politics and the situation of the trump thing. and it was very hard for me to watch because it was clearly a bunch of old men that grew up and still have in mind their conservatory concepts that goes against what taylor wanted to tell her whole life, they were just trying to silence her and she decided to do it anyway because she is a grown woman and she never spoke up about those things before the reputation era.
the easy they come and easy they go line goes for the fans, they are always in and out and sometimes some of them never want to come back and stay because in the first bad thing that happens to her it pulls them away. she jumps from the train and ride off alone, the train maybe is about her life that never stops and she takes a break from it, the media, the relationships, the image she has in front of the whole world and she ride alone because there's no one in the world that could understand her more than herself. she never grow up when it comes to being more mature when it comes to some things and having the capacity to speak her truth, she's asking us to let her hold on to us when things go harder and when everyone else has left her.
“i've been the archer, i've been the prey / who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay?”
i fucking love this line so much because when you are a LGBTQIA+ kid growing up, you always has to fight against being the bad person and the good person, you grow up seeing in the news that you will die young and that there's people out there that will try to tell you that loving someone of the same sex is the wrong thing to do. being the archer and also the prey is like haunting yourself until you realize who you really are, you have that idea internalized in you, the homophobic jokes you grew up listening and you're also the target and it's like both sides of a coin. who could ever leave her for being a (bi, pan, lesbian) woman? who could ever stay if she's a (bi pan, lesbian) woman? it's like “who could stay in the darkest of the darkest times here with me because it looks like i am lost and i don't know where to go”
“dark side, i search for your dark side / but what if i'm alright, right, right, right here?”
the dark side is not the bad side like people point out, the dark side of someone is like when the moon is half shown and half hidden, and you can only see the part that's out for the light. here the dark side of taylor is the one she haven't showed to us, and to me this line is not about a potential lover but about herself. and this song feels like a mirror, so to me, she's talking to herself and trying to find her dark side in front of her own image. the sequence “alright, right” it's like the dark side saying “i am here and it's good”.
“and i cut off my nose just to spite my face / then i hate my reflection for years and years”
this fucking line is the deepest for me, because it's like, she cut a part of herself to looks like someone who she wasn't made to be, it reminds me of having to hide your true side in despite of being hurt or left aside. how many LGBTQIA+ kids and teenagers has to hide from their parents? we change our way to see the world, we lie to everyone about our love interestings, we hide in the closet and we don't face ourselves because this is not who we are and then we spent the rest of our life hating our reflection because we don't recognize this person but everybody loves this version we created, it's easy, it's very easy to love a straight person but it's the hardest thing to let a queer kid feel loved. it's very easy to not tell a straight person how to be but it's the hardest thing teach a queer kid how to love themselves.
“i wake in the night, i pace like a ghost / the room is on fire, invisible smoke / and all of my heroes die all alone / help me hold on to you”
she's s ghost to the people who live with her so she's not seen, everything is burning and there's an invisible smoke that's where she fades in, and all of her heroes, probably the queer ones that are dying everyday all alone and the ones who died were left alone in their final days. again she's asking if she can count on us to keep going if things go hard.
“i see right through me / they see right through me / can you see right through me?”
seeing through someone means that you see their true version, like if you're looking at their soul and they're so open that you can read anything. it's understanding someone and knowing someone inside and out. just like the lover mv where she's inside the fish tank, it's a metaphor for a thing that can be seen by everyone just like a mirror. and the delicate mv where she's not seen until she enters the bar and sees a person. she can see through herself and people are seeing through her but not in the way she wants to be seen and then she asks (for the fans?) if we can see right through her. could we fight the wars with her? be the shoulder for her to lean on? stay even when she's about to face the fight the biggest war of her life?
“all the king's horses, all the king's men / couldn't put me together again / cause all of my enemies started out friends”
king's horses and king's men also align with the chorus and the universe of being the prey in a world of men. also it can also be the world of a society that lives inside a bubble and cannot accept diversity. not even the men, (her father, team, men she dated?) could put her together again after all that she have been through, and it matches with the “i cut off my nose just to spite my face”. all of her enemies once were friends which implies that she can't trust anyone and as the song goes as (in my vision) a LGBTQIA+ letter to her fans, she's saying that there's no one that could handle this secret and she already tried to tell them but it ended wrong.
that's it. to me this song has a deep meaning and i couldn't put everything i wanted to in this post. also i just want taylor to know that there's a lot of sapphic connotations in her songs and i will always stay.

Okay i was binging TUA last night so I'm doing a 2 in 1 Jo Daily post.
1) Back on Firm Ground
When I saw the title of this chapter a wave of peace and relief hit me so strong that I briefly glimpsed a total state of Nirvana.
"I feel like for the past few days I’ve been falling and falling and now I’m back on firm ground, and Cassie’s caught me". Okay first of all, I'm repeating myself like a broken record, but GOD I WISH I HAD WHAT THEY DID. Also the difference between Jo falling but Cassie catching her vs Dean being buried and Cas lifting him up. Ola you've got me comparing JoCassie to Destiel I'm frothing at the mouth. Remeber how DC fanboys acted when Joker was announced? This, this is my Joker.
"isn’t it weird how talking to girls can send more adrenaline through you than the prospect of a hunt?" Me, who's used to Dean Winchester's internal monologues: Nope 😃 this is fine 😃. The prospect of a hunt eh? The one thing in life you arguably want the most and talking to girls (specifically Cassie) has you more riled up than that?. 🤨 2 + 2 = Mc2 to our girl Jo.
"She thought I was gay! She looked at me, Jo Harvelle, and saw me as gay." Okay and? I looked at water, H2O, and see that it is wet.
"That’s makes me feel so weird, that someone would think of me as gay. There’s nothing wrong with it, obviously. It’s just, I don’t know why but I haven’t stopped thinking about it all day." Maybe because the tought of you being gay never occurred to you and your sacred of stopping to think because the conclusion you might come to may cause you sevear mental damage?
"I told her that I’m not into women or anything, and that I have a boyfriend." Uhhhhh, are you gonna tell her or should I?
" I don’t why I instantly regretted it when I said it - I guess I just like being me and only me when I’m around her, and not tied to anyone else, even if Rick does make other parts of my life simpler." Oooooh boi. So you admit it? You feel lighter and truer to yourself around Cassie? You admit you feel tied down to people like your boyfriend and your mother? You admit the only reason you're with Rick cause he makes your life easier? Say, convincing your mother to let you Hunt? Even maybe, straight pass? Confirm to hetronormativity? 🔫🤨 I'm holding you at gun point Joanne answer me.
"she never said she was a lesbian, she just said she liked women, and that actually she’s bisexual" First of all. BI4BI DEANCASSIE! OLA YOU KEEP ME WINNING! Finally a bisexual woman of colour (if you haven't realised this is basically the only Canon I belive in). We don't get a lot of those. Go figure.
"Cassie said it makes watching movies a lot harder because everyone is really attractive which made me laugh, and from then on we were just friends again, just Jo and Cassie ready to take on the world together." Cassie that is so real and true and yass and slay of you. Finally speaking about how Hollywood is targeting bisexuals specifically.
ALSO.
'just Jo and Cassie ready to take on the world together' 🤝 'So, what. I'm Thelma and you're Louise, and we're just gonna hold hands and sail off this cliff together?'
"I love her so much. Not in the way she might like me, though. It’s different." I'm not even gonna waste my time with this one. But Jo. This is what Dean Winchester sounds like. And we all know where that went.
"I’ve been talking with Eileen via email more too, she’s actually quite a fast replier when her laptop isn’t broken. Funnily enough, I think her and Rick would really get along. Us three are all hunters, and even through her writing I can see Eileen has just the type of humor Rick would find funny too. If I can ever convince mom to let me go hunting, it’s Eileen and Rick I’d want to go with." :/ Rick 3rd wheeling my brotp is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If he plans to pull a Luther, he better pull it fast. Elieen honey you're doing amazing sweetie.
2) Thirty Seven
"Now that everything with Cassie has blown over and she doesn’t think I’m either homosexual or homophobic" - Me: Haha silly girl doesn't know she's gay.
"I’ve been thinking more about what that means for Mary and mom."
Me:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Wouldn’t it be weird if mom was gay too? LOL"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"She adores Uncle Rufus too, but because She adores Uncle Rufus too, but because he and Bobby had such a bad falling out we don’t get to see him so much anymore." RUFFUS. HE'S HER UNCLE TOO. WHAT DO U MEAN THEY FELL OUT. AHHHH THEY BETTER MAKE UP CAUSE THERES A YOUNG LESBIAN IN NEED OF GUIDANCE.
"Okay I’ve decided, I’m going to ask her about Mary tomorrow. Hopefully mom won’t get pissy with me." This is either gonna go really good or really bad. Either way I'm gonna be glued to my phone checking my emails.
"the only person I’m performing for is myself" Just when I think Ive become immune to Jo feels Ola pulls something like this.

So um I saw this twitter post on how the main reason the loki series was created in the first place was to make loki the first main character in the mcu to be bi, is this true? I mean I thought the reason it was created was because marvel wanted to continue on where loki went after he escaped in endgame. I know I shouldn't just belive everything I read on the Internet that's why I'm asking you about this. I kinda belive it for a second cuz ever since ep 3 of loki came out, Kate herron has been kinda pushing the fact that loki is bi in everybody's throats in a twitter post of hers and I quote "it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge loki was bisexual." So yeah, I just need a second opinion on this cuz lately marvel has been kinda woke if you know what I mean if you know about the whole controversies on their new comics. I really don't want any of this to be real. I'm really looking forward to your response.
*blinks* Okay, first of all, I'm flattered you want my opinion on this because I didn't even work on the show and I am, in fact, just another Loki girl on the Internet, haha! Okay, so here me out:
The main reason? I really doubt that! The reason we got a Loki show is because Tom Hiddleston has been stealing the show for years. In fact, I strongly believe that it is OUR passion for this character and HIS incredible talent and commitment that Marvel went ahead with his own series. If Tom's Loki wasn't this popular, I'm pretty sure he would have stayed dead after TDW. So don't worry about that. ♥
As far as I'm concerned, Kate is bisexual herself. She loves Loki as a character, so her passion for this is understandable. I support the LGBTQ+ community with all my heart, so I too cheered when Loki cheekily went "A bit of both". They worked this lovely aspect of his character into the show and given that it's always been there both in the comics and in the myths, it was only a matter of time in the show, I guess. After all, they didn't really have the time to focus on that in the Thor films.
But, and this is very important now: Loki being bisexual doesn't define him. It's a meaningful aspect of him (an aspect that resonates with many fans which is great), part of who he is, sure--but it doesn't define him as a fictional character. He is Loki, the God of Mischief, not Loki, the MCU character who is a bisexual. A friend of mine is a lesbian but if I pointed this out to her every time we met or only referred to her as such, she would go mad. And she certainly wouldn’t keep talking about her being a lesbian every time we met either. It doesn’t define her. It’s part of who she is but it doesn’t define her entire being, let alone reduces her to that. Just... let people love whoever they want, you know?
In other words, I remember there being a few discussions on whether the show should include Loki’s sexuality or even love interests before it came out and I understood that worry to some extent simply because Loki has a lot on his plate right now. Think about it:
The last thing that happened to him was him finding out that he is a Frost Giant, why Odin favoured Thor all these years and that his entire life is a lie, him starting a desperate attempt to gain his adoptive father’s recognition, failing, trying to commit suicide, ending up with Thanos instead, getting tortured and being forced to invade New York City, failing again (presumably even intentionally) and now being about to be brought back to Asgard expecting Odin to execute him (which is not far-fetched—Odin said ‘Frigga is the only reason you’re still alive and you will never see her again’ in TDW so I’m sure Loki was almost certain to be executed by Odin). So when the Tesseract landed at his feet, he saw his chance so he took it and escaped and now the TVA is telling him that he shouldn't exist and forces him to work for them, else he will be disintegrated and he learns that he can't return to his own timeline, has no home. He is struggling with his identity and finding his place in the world, figuring out who he is and what he wants. Now imagine making all that only about his sexuality and gender identity and disregarding everything else or shoving it in the background. Doesn't make sense, right? Loki must learn to love himself first before anyone else, regardless of their gender identity, can love him. If he ever gets love interests in the future, I'm pretty sure it'll be a process full of angst and hurt. I don't know anything about those alleged controversies concerning the new comics though, so I wouldn't be able to comment on that.
A lot of people are staining society with their negativity and try to find negative aspects everywhere which is why I never interact with such posts on here or elsewhere, it’s not worth my energy. It starts with bisexuals who happen to end up in a relationship with the opposite gender and are being judged for it even within their own community and as of right now it continues where some individuals on the Internet insist that we all must now use "they/them" pronouns for Loki when even in the show, they use "he/him" pronouns for him and "she/her" pronouns for Sylvie--not every non-binary/genderfluid person exclusively uses “they/them” pronouns.
Most importantly, I really doubt that every future episode now will keep reminding the audience that Loki is bisexual. You’re probably not familiar with her but Alex, the winner of this year’s season of Germany’s Next Topmodel is transgender--and, at some point in the season, when she was asked by an interviewer about what she thinks about a transgender model winning Germany’s Next Topmodel, she said in her opinion, simply a woman would win Germany’s Next Topmodel because that is what she is, meaning that society should stop pointing out how “different” the LGBTQ+ community is by constantly pointing it out but instead to finally start acknowleding it as normal. She told her story once and that’s it--she wants to be considered a female model, not a transgender model. Being transgender is a part of her but it doesn’t define her entire being.
Puuh, now that was a very long answer. Please, anyone, feel free to add things, I’m happy to learn more about what you guys, especially if you’re in the community, think about it. ♥

post game opinions!!!
yes i will be going through every player
- starting off with a living legend miss alyssa naeher did the ABSOLUTE MOST tonight. she may have missed that one ball but boy did she make up for it. we would not be where we are today without her years of dedication to this team. so thank you uncle naeher for all you’ve done and continue to do for us. including but not limited to SAVING OUR ASSES DURING PKS.
- crystal mf dunn played so well today. she was up and down the flank participating in play after play both offensively and defensively. her last second plays in the box were phenomenal. this woman is so talented on the ball i’ll never get over it.
- i think the whole nation is proud to have becky as a captain right now. as always she was solid in the back whether it was playing balls out or putting an end to the opposing team’s developing plays near the box. that’s my captain.
- abby d is coming more and more out of her funk with each day that passes by and boy am i glad about it. still a little shaky but some of her crosses were world class. i have faith that she’ll continue to get better and better.
- kelley o’hara played her whole heart out tonight. she was busting her ass to make sure her side stayed covered. although her passion/aggression did give away a penalty that happens and it’s something she just has to be more careful about which i’m sure she knows. no one is as dedicated as her and like jill ellis said: if you need a bitch get kelley.
- sammy bananas shut all of us up with her brilliant header to get us the first point. she was much much better on the ball today and it paid off. her and lynn are one hell of a duo.
- julie ertz. what can i say about julie? THAT WOMAN OH MY LORD. she was everywhere. literally a superwoman tease. her and alyssa were 100% our most valuable players today. so thank you for your service julie.
- she may not have scored a beautiful volley or header but lindsey horan was present and ready to play. not only did she have some beautiful passes but also did some great defensive work. hopefully she keeps that defensive work up because it was solid.
- did someone say rose lavelle? i think you mean national treasure. i swear red bull courses through that girls veins because she is pretty much the flash. somehow manages to SPRINT everywhere help is needed and be there in the blink of an eye. at this point i’d consider turning into a rose lavelle stan account because come on she’s insane.
- lynn raenie williams you have proved me wrong. not sure if i ever posted about it, but i had some serious doubts about her. her nwsl play has always been top level and i’m so happy that she’s brought that play to this tournament. her goal was an absolute banger and it’s just what we needed. also that woman is speedy as hell.
- carli flopped a lot.
- tobin is clearly getting back into her best form. she played excellent today and no one can tell me otherwise. her creativity on ball never fails to amaze me. wasn’t here loudest game but don’t discredit the defensive and offensive work she put in today.
- i hope christen press is overjoyed right now because she deserves it. that 2016 pen was heartbreaking and i’m so glad she got another chance at it. also that one offside goal was so so close. just waiting for her to majestically score in the next game.
- can’t forget about alex morgan who buried her penalty as well. she was oddly quiet but i could see her trying to make solid runs to the box. full credit for her ambition.
- finally rapinoe; what can i say i love when a purple haired lesbian sinks a penalty to win us the game.

What I Think Dating Alice Cullen Would Be Like
A/N: Hey y’all, I am quite obsessed with Alice right now, so I’ll probably keep adding to this!! Follow so you can check back ;)
Warnings: Some NSFW
——
-Her hands would always be wandering all over you, making sure you’re still there and letting you know that she is too
-Constant hand holding, for the same reason
-That woman loves her kisses, y’all are kissing like all the time
-You always let her use you as a model, she loves to try out new fashion trends and such on you
-You living in the Cullen house and flawlessly integrating yourself
-Unlike the way she reacted to Bella, Rose actually likes you, so she, Alice, and yourself often do things as a trio
-Jasper, Emmett, and Edward treating you like their precious little sister, protecting you always, but you fit in with them and are one of the boys, so to speak
-If anyone were to threaten you, they'd be all over them, Alice leading at the forefront
-Alice is 1000% a switch so whether you’re holding her or she’s holding you she's quite content
-You’ll often watch movies together, even though Alice complains because she already knows how it’ll end
-She’ll pretend she doesn’t want to watch, but in reality she’s ecstatic to just be spending time with you
-The sex is way better than you could’ve imagined
-When Alice eats you out, you’re always left positively breathless
-She’s all about being sweet and letting you know how much she loves you, but can take some command over you/allow herself to be dominated a lot of the time
-(If you’re human) Feeling self conscious about her being better than you at sex, simply because her body is more capable
-Her completely disagreeing with you and going on and on about how everything you do to her sends shivers up her spine and how she wouldn't trade it for the world
-”No, my love, no. It isn't like that. Just having you love me and feeling what you do to me is the most blissful thing I’ve ever experienced.”
-The two of you sharing quite the impressive strap collection
-Esme got tired of not only you and Alice, but the rest of the couples in the household (including her and Carlisle) not being able to have sex whenever they wanted, so she built a series of small vacation homes nearby for each pairing where they could go whenever they pleased and be alone with one another
-You and Alice using yours daily (of course)
-This was a perfect idea, because you all still lived at the Cullen house and got to be together as a family, but you could all engage in extra curricular activities without bothering anyone
-You and Alice being the first openly lesbian couple at Forks High School
-If you thought the Cullens got stared at a lot before, you’re really in for it now
-Boys at school would still constantly flirt with you, thinking you were just hiding your attraction for men
-The way Alice got was quite terrifying, you’d never seen her be so possessive
-”If you really think that’s going to work, you’re all a bunch of naive, stupid children. Can’t you see she’s happy without any little boys in her life?”
-She may be tiny but the moment she gets up in their faces they become aware that she isn’t one to mess with
-Alice adores taking naps with you, breathing in your scent as you both take the time to just be with one another
-Wanting very much to become like the Cullens, despite Alice’s initial apprehension
-She saw you becoming like her, but was scared for you. Even though she saw Bella becoming the same and was in support, it was different when it was her mate in the question
-Building up the strength and control so that she could be the one to do it
-Finally becoming like her and living out the rest of your lives together
-Making out way up in the trees
-The best vampire sex
-Practicing fighting all the time so you can both be as prepared as possible for any fights in the future
-Always bringing each other flowers and jewelry
-Shopping together rang up a small fortune, you both thought everything looked perfect on the other and kept buying clothes
-Eventually getting married
-You know Alice, she planned the whole thing and it was 10x as extravagant as Bella and Edward’s wedding
-Alice would’ve been sobbing if she could when she saw you walking down the aisle
-You not being able to hold yourself together, barely getting to the altar
-All of your family being so ecstatic for you, hugging you so tight during the reception
-Esme kissing your cheeks and telling you how excited she was that Alice had finally found her mate
-Carlisle hugging you for a while, so glad you were part of the family
-All of your brothers and sisters turning up with y’all on the dance floor
-Going to Isle Esme for your honeymoon and swimming naked in the ocean for hours, kissing and loving on each other on the beach
-If you thought the bed was broken after Bella and Edward, you’re in for it now
-Laying out in the sun, bikini-clad, holding hands
-Playing board games on the beach, Alice always won, thanks to her visions (except when she let you win)
-Knocking the game over at one point and crawling into her lap, all but shoving your tongue down her throat and running your hands all over her body
-Standing in front of the mirror with Alice, caressing her breasts as you pressed yourself up to her, kissing her neck and whispering dirty things into her ear
-“Look at you, so needy for me. I’m gonna fuck you in front of this mirror so you can watch yourself fall apart for me.”
-Leaning her back against your front and hooking one of her legs onto your elbow, finger fucking her until she came around you, making her watch the whole time
-Watching her sink completely into your dominance, holding eye contact in the mirror as you gave her a fantastic orgasm
-Sex everywhere, the ocean, the bed, the beach, the bathtub, the forest, the kitchen counter, you thoroughly christened the entire island
-Not wanting to leave
-“Baby, can’t we just...stay here forever?”
-“Our family misses us, Ali.”
-“But here, we can have sex whenever we want.” She pouted
-“Oh, we’ll find a way.” You giggled, pulling her in for a kiss
-Of course, that led to one last round before you guys left for Forks

The American dream. The small business that Marla Grayson built from nothing. And now it's all crumbling down back to... nothing. Marla is left to pick up the pieces of the broken dream, but this time she's determined to start a fire with what she has left. The problem, or rather, the solution, comes in the shape of Fran, a gorgeous woman that, unlikely as it seems, has just as many tricks under her sleeve as Marla. This is how they meet, this is how they fall into each other's dangerous games, and most importantly, this is how they fall in love.
Love, the only honest thing about each other, and the most important part of their story.
Final Chapter:
It was natural, mostly, the way the couple gravitated to spending most of their time in Fran’s home. It was simply much better than Marla’s, and the blonde woman had very clear priorities in her life. One, herself. She wanted to win, she wanted the best of life, she wanted to get everything she desired. And that was a very attractive apartment. And number two… well… it was Fran. So, Marla, never one to half-assing her actions, promptly embraced this new perspective of her life. She stepped into the relationship with all the blazing passion she put into every new project. If in the process Fran managed to reveal an unexpectedly loving side of the ruthless businesswoman, well, that made it all just even better.
Along with their relationship, their newest business adventure was about to begin. This involved a lot of planning, a lot of risks, and also a lot of bright mornings getting ready together in Fran’s house with their best suits. This, of course, very often included some variation of the same incident in which they get distracted with each other and constantly arrive late at important places.
For example, Marla sitting on the bed, leaning back on her hands, waiting for Fran to come out of the bathroom. When the brunette finally strolled out, she smiled at the sight in front of her and said, “You look great.” Her newest suit really fit Marla perfectly.
“I know,” the blonde tilted her head and extended a hand to beckon her girlfriend closer. “And you’re fucking stunning,” she added. In a second, Fran was standing between her legs, leaning down to kiss her, and stifle a laugh when she felt Marla’s hands eagerly move to their favorite destination to cup her ass.
“We could stay home today, you know?” Fran whispered against the other woman’s lips. It seemed they took turns making such a suggestion, and only rarely did they manage to resist the temptation.
Marla let out a small groan. “No. Today’s important,” she bit Fran’s bottom lip, but then genuinely tried to pull away.
“Come on, Marla,” Fran whispered seductively while moving to kiss and nip at Marla’s neck. She was proud to elicit a pleased sigh from the woman in her arms, and even more overjoyed when she pushed Marla onto the bed and she complied. However, she was happily surprised when, not a second later, Marla had switched their positions and pinned Fran to the bed on her back. The following kiss was positively breathtaking, and it got even better, or perhaps even worse.
Marla placed a hand firmly on her girlfriend’s chest to keep her laying still on the bed, and then she pulled away to say, “Have you ever heard about marital tax deduction?”
The thoroughly unexpected question on top of their previous activities had Fran gasping for a breath. “You don’t… pay taxes,” was the only thing she thought of.
“I’m just saying,” Marla replied, giving Fran one of her signature shark-like grins, and taking advantage of the brunette’s shock by stealing one last kiss, and then pulling away completely, standing up, and starting to walk away.
“Marla?” Fran called after her. She couldn’t move the bed. She was blushing and her brain was threatening to short circuit. Was that a proposal? It wasn’t like Marla to joke about something instead of outright stating what she wanted. And yet, she wouldn’t bring it up if she hadn’t thought seriously about it on her own before. “Marla!” Fran repeated, jumping out of bed and chasing after the woman of her dreams.
“There are some great financial advantages to a civil union, that’s all I’m saying!” Marla called out already halfway down the stairs.
Both of them were laughing then. Of course, there would be financial gain. Would Marla really do something if there wasn’t some sort of profit for her? Only time would tell how serious she was about the subject, and how far each of them would go for each other.
--
“Well, I’m impressed,” Dr. Karen Amos stated as she leaned back on the chair of her office.
In front of her, on the other side of her desk, Marla and Fran waited for her answer, wearing matching sly grins, stylish clothes, and perfectly balanced energy radiating between the two of them that she could tell had a lot of potential. She almost had it in herself to feel a spark of jealousy, or envy, But that was quickly overshadowed by her blatant interest in the business offer in front of her. After all, Marla had chosen her for a reason. Marla knew her well enough to know she’d look past their history and say yes to this.
“Are you in?” Marla asked.
As if anybody could say to her, the doctor thought.
“I’m in,” Karen nodded confidently. “I believe I could even give you a name or two right away.”
While she looked over her files, Fran received a call and excused herself out of the office. With three folders in her hands, Karen returned to her seat and took the opportunity to talk a bit more privately to her ex.
“I have to say,” she started, “I was really surprised by your visit.”
“I hope this is alright,” Marla replied.
It annoyed Karen just the slightest bit, the way Marla was still mostly using her business voice. She shook her head and regarded the other woman silently for another moment. “Of course it is,” she scoffed playfully. They hadn’t been bad for each other, not exactly. Marla had simply made it extremely clear she didn’t want a relationship. That didn’t seem to be the case anymore. “You two look right for each other,” she added, a little more softly, and she meant it. Marla tilted her head and listened attentively.
“Yeah?” the blonde said.
That was better, Karen thought. Marla’s shoulders relaxed. They could be friends after all. “Perfect match,” the doctor grinned.
Marla returned the smile, and she was earnest as she said, “Thank you.” She hadn’t made many friends in her life, for obvious reasons, so this was something she’d come to appreciate deeply.
Just then, Fran walked back into the office, holding her phone. “Sam Rice called,” she told Marla, “He said he would love to meet you.”
“Oh, I know him,” Karen chuckled, “You’ll have him eating off the palm of your hand, Marl.”
Marla and Fran had barely made it out into the parking lot when Fran playfully pushed Marla’s shoulder with hers. “So, Marl, huh?”
“I never liked it when she called me that,” Marla rolled her eyes.
“Cute,” Fran smirked, and delighted in the warning look her girlfriend sent her way.
--
One more day of work, one more day of the two of them struggling to let themselves walk out the door of the house.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to come with you?” Marla asked, running her hands through Fran’s hair in the way she knew her girlfriend adored.
“I thought you hated the surveillance part of the job,” Fran sighed.
“I do, I get restless,” Marla admitted, and dipped her head to start leaving feather-light kisses on the exposed neck of the woman in her arms. “But you make one hell of a sexy spy.”
That comment made the brunette laugh brightly, and wrap her arms tighter around Marla. She let the embrace last a few more seconds of perfect warmth, and then she begrudgingly pulled away. “I gotta go,” Fran said, and kissed Marla’s cheek. “And you have to find us an office.” She slowly walked away, picked up her keys, her helmet, and then paused at the open front door with carefully planned nonchalance. “Hey, I almost forgot,” Fran reached into the back pocket of her pants and then threw a set of keys that Marla easily caught.
“What’s this?” Marla asked with a small frown.
“Your keys to our house, of course,” Fran replied. She was leaning against the doorway, smiling confidently, as if this were an everyday occurrence. “No offense, baby, but your old place doesn’t do you justice.”
Then, just like that, Fran was out of the door, starting her bike, and driving away to stalk their first victim in the business of legal guardians. Marla, on the other hand, was standing in their hallway, lips parted and heart-racing pleasantly. She took a deep breath and, holding her set of kets tightly in her hand, she walked up the stairs to their living room. She had many calls to make. She had to find them an office and staff, and then arrange the official move from her previous apartment into their home.
--
It wasn’t the first time that Marla and Fran walked up the steps that lead to court, and it would be far from the last time. But this would likely be an unforgettable occasion. It was their first hearing with Dr. Karen Amos and a gullible judge to get the legal guardianship of a lonely, rich, old woman.
“Are you nervous?” Fran playfully asked her girlfriend.
“Not so much,” Marla easily replied. “But if we lose again you might have to hold me back or there’ll be casualties.”
The two of them shared a laugh. Marla’s worries were completely unnecessary. Karen’s lies about her patient were spot on, the judge did everything but burst into tears for the fabricated story, and a few signatures later, Marla was legally responsible for the wealth of a woman she’d never met. She had a perfectly calculated plan of what all her next moves would be. Her plan, obviously, included pressing Fran against the wall of a secluded spot of the hallways of court and kissing her like both their lives depended on it.
“Is this going to become a tradition?” Fran gasped with a breathy laugh as she grasped Marla’s short blonde hair.
“God, I hope so,” the other woman chuckled, diving back in for another kiss.
--
Champagne glasses clinked together as Marla and Fran celebrated the success of their first job. An innocent woman locked in a care home, a house sold, everything under Marla’s name, and earning additional money for every overpriced hour they spent stealing from her. It couldn’t be more perfect. Not when Fran is sitting on the chair across from her in the dimly lit restaurant.
“I could get used to this,” Fran smiled. To Marla’s ears, it sounded like something from a dream
“What? Being able to afford this?” she replied. Admittedly, she was a little distracted. The restaurant was colder than expected, so now she was wearing Fran’s jacket over her sleeveless dress, which left the brunette’s arms exposed to Marla’s appreciative blue eyes.
“Winning,” Fran said, “while knowing I’ll be taking you home with me at the end of the night.”
Her words made Marla shake her head fondly. It had been months already. They were living together, and their relationship showed no signs of soothing its fire. In the blink of an eye, Marla could picture an entire life with Fran by her side. It would never stop being exciting, no matter how comfortable and safe they could get with each other.
“What’s on your mind?” Fran asked softly, sipping her champagne.
“You.”
“I’m flattered.”
“Seriously,” Marla chuckled along with her wife. She took a moment to organize her thoughts and then further explained. “Do you have any idea how unexpected you were to me?” she wondered out loud, and without waiting for an answer she went on. “Not a part of any of my plans. Not even in my wildest dreams. Now I can’t even picture my life without you.”
Fran’s smile never wavered. She took a deep breath and let the precious word settle deep within her heart. “I’m not going anywhere,” she promised and raised her glass again as she added, “Ride or die.”
The smile from Marla then was worth absolutely every risk they would ever take for each other in their lives.
--
“Welcome home, Mrs. Grayson,” Fran playfully said, holding open the door to their offices.
“Oh, come here,” Marla chuckled, grabbing the neck of her girlfriend’s t-shirt and pulling her in for a kiss as they stumbled into the hallway of the place.
It was still empty, and they’d have a lot of work to do, but it was every bit as good as they had imagined it.
“This place is huge,” Fran laughed while they walked around the entire place, stepping into every room and making big plans for the future. “Are you sure this is all necessary?”
“Who cares? We can afford it!” Marla chuckled. Their business of guardianship was taking off, and soon enough she would have these offices filled with employees and clients and victims and power. Then they arrived at the main office, her very own office with the wide windows, big desk, lots of space, and it was all her. “God! It’s gorgeous!” she exclaimed.
“It’s ambitious,” Fran whistled, equally as fascinated with the space.
“Oh, I’ll fill it up, don't worry.” Marla leaned against her desk and sighed contentedly. This was a great step in the right direction, and she was feeling more confident than ever about the path she was following in life.
“With you? I never worry,” Fran swiftly replied.
In a minute, Marla was sitting on her desk, Fran standing between her legs, and they were kissing with all the abandon of being in an office they owned with windows closed and doors closed behind them. The feeling was indescribable, and when Fran expertly started kissing Marla’s neck, the blonde couldn’t help herself anymore, couldn’t hold back a minute longer. She moved her lips close to Fran’s ear and whispered, “Marry me.”
“What?” Fran pulled back instantly, she was shocked and happy in equal measure.
Marla bit her bottom lip and looked deeply into the most perfect pair of brown eyes. A small part of her still believed this was a stupid thing to do, but the greater part of her didn’t even mind being a little stupid for Fran, as long they could do this together for the rest of their lives. “Someday,” Marla said, placing her hand on Fran’s cheek, “When we’re really fucking rich, I’ll marry you, properly. I’ll get you a gorgeous diamond, we’ll travel the world for our honeymoon, everything will be perfect.”
“And right now?” Fran asked breathlessly, although she was nodding already and her voice was trembling.
“Let’s just sign those papers,” Marla smiled, hopelessly in love. “I want to share this with you, completely. The business, the success, the good, and the bad. Partners through and through. Yes?”
“Yes. Yes, absolutely,” Fran replied, without an ounce of hesitation in her body. She pressed their lips together again in a searing kiss. They laughed together, a tear or two might have escaped, and it was only just the beginning.
--
In their offices, a handful of staff was hard at work managing dozens of clients, properties, sales, court visits. In several care homes across the city, men and women of old age cursed the devil of blonde hair and tailored suits that robbed them of their freedom and their money in a mostly legal manner. In Dr. Karen Amos’s office, her patients walked in willingly and innocently, and more often than not their files were shared with a ruthless businesswoman that could put their lives upside down to her will. In their home, their things waited for their return, the kitchen where they shared their meals, the comfortable living room where they made all their big plans, the bedroom that was witness to the most passionate and the most tender displays of the love the couple felt for each other. Finally, in their car, Marla and Fran drove from one place to the other in complete and confident bliss. Business was good, life was better, and legally, they were married. They felt invincible.
“Who’s the next one?” Fran casually asked from her place behind the wheel.
“Hm. Mrs. Feldstrom. She won’t give us too much trouble, I think,” Marla replied.
“Sounds good,” the brunette nodded. There was a pause then, and Fran couldn’t help the smile that appeared on her lips. She didn’t even need to turn her head to know that Marla had her eyes fixed on her. But she didn’t mind taking her eyes off the road to look at the blonde that stole her heart all those months ago. The expression on Marla’s face was beautiful. “What?” Fran asked her, sounding a little amused.
“You know,” Marla replied, “I love you.”
“I love you too.”

Sailor Stars thoughts:
1. The anime does its absolute best to make the Starlights unlikable. Taiki is a fucking asshole (he won’t even give a dying girl, who he explicitly was taken to visit, an autograph, and tells a bunch of children that their grandfather’s theory about souls becoming stars is dead wrong), Seiya is a Nice Guy who hits on Usagi constantly despite being told multiple times she has a boyfriend, and Yaten is a mildly sarcastic cardboard cutout. I know the manga doesn’t expand on them much but the anime is supposed to help make these people real. Counterexample is Chibi-Chibi, who hardly speaks in the manga and relies on her cuteness alone to be likable. They gave her a very cute voice because it was literally all they had to work with, given how often Chibi-Chibi actually appears
2. The dub cast for the Starlights is frankly awful. As civilians, Taiki alternates between a woman trying too hard to make her voice deep and having a bad cold, Seiya sounds like a prepubescent boy, and Yaten sounds like a woman (which they’re not, as civilians); as Starlights their voices are VERY high pitched, especially Yaten’s. Their sub voices just sound like woman talking a bit deeply and then normal women.
3. Why the FUCK did Toei think literally changing sex was less controversial than crossdressing? The Starlights are women and have always been women. Plus, them being male civilians in the anime creates a paradox, because if they’re men with sailor crystals who can become senshi, why can’t Mamoru - who is confirmed multiple times throughout the series as carrying the earth’s star seed and thus being Sailor Earth - do the same? Naoko said Mamoru can’t be a sailor senshi because he’s a man, but the Starlights don’t abide by this rule, they change their fucking biological sex
4. Why is absolutely no one concerned that Chibi-Chibi, a THREE YEAR OLD, just goes off on her own and has her own little adventures? She wanders into some strange old man’s house and they’re all “oh that’s just Chibi-Chibi,” and no one is worried that a literal stranger invites a three year old into his house where he gives her toys and candy? The 90s were WILD, man
5. Why does Chibi-Chibi, again who is THREE YEARS OLD, have a thigh gap?
6. This one’s on Naoko because it’s like this in the manga, but the anime is supposed to expand on the universe so I blame them too: Why does literally nobody question Chibi-Chibi’s motives? Some strange pink haired child who fucking falls out of the sky one day up and brainwashes Usagi’s mom into thinking she’s her second daughter, and nobody bats an eye at this? That’s sus as fuck and literally the only question anyone has is “is she your kid or Chibiusa’s?” She doesn’t even have a NAME, “chibi” is just a random word she says!
7. I am DIGGING the mobster feel of the Animamates’ civilian forms. Especially Iron Mouse and Tin Nyanko, who clearly launder money through a shady car dealership.
8. The Starlights’ only redeeming qualities are their snazzy entrance music and Seiya’s red suit
9. Why is Aluminum Siren the only Animamate who understands that a senshi has a pure star seeds? Like, y’all killed the senshi of your home planets to take their star seeds so YOU could be senshi (which is presumably why Galaxia wants more seeds, to make more Animamates with them), shouldn’t you know that?
10. Aluminum Siren/Lead Crow are trying their damn hardest to give Harumichi a run for their money in the quest to become the Best Space Lesbians.
11. So the Moon Kingdom fosters loyalty through child soldiers. I’m assuming Queen Serenity has her own senshi in the form of our senshi’s mothers, etc. (Which begs the question of if the Asteroid Senshi are supposed to be the future kids of our senshi or if they too are child soldiers from the asteroids they’re named after.) Kinmoku seems to foster loyalty by having the Kakyuu’s senshi fall in unrequited love with her. (In the manga it’s stated Kakyuu has a husband who died when their planet was destroyed.) I mean, whatever works, right?
12. I LOVE Tin Nyanko’s dub voice. She’s only around Usagi’s age and she sounds it
13. The dub actress for Lead Crow seems like she’s half assing it. Her voice doesn’t raise properly when she yells, she never sounds really angry, and it’s just so odd. I find a lot of dub voices do this, while the original Japanese VAs will scream their lungs out into the mic
14. On the reverse, Galaxia’s voice actress is a badass. She’s supposed to have a deep menacing voice but I like the one they gave her in the dub. She’s quiet, and sounds almost kind, and that’s a fucking TERRIFYING sort of villain we don’t see a lot of. Even when she’s pissed she doesn’t raise her voice.
15. Why are Lead Crow and Tim Nyanko the same height? Lead Crow is like 5’10 and Tin Nyanko is 4’11 like Sailor Moon
16. As an aside, Tin Nyanko and Lead Crow don’t like each other, which reminds me of the cats vs crows trash can showdown in Haikyuu lol
17. Haruka’s hate boner for Seiya gives me life
18. FINALLY someone calls the Starlights out on being assholes but it’s only after Makoto sees them harassing a THREE YEAR OLD (Chibi-Chibi). Literally everyone BUT Usagi thinks they’re assholes. “They sing such beautiful songs!” Bro. You can sing pretty and still be a fucking dick.
19. Lead Crow goes after Sailor Moon only after reading Siren’s notebook. Ditzy SIREN is the smartest Animamate, lord help them
20. Kakyuu’s dub voice is SO GOOD. She’s my favorite minor character, I’m still bitter they didn’t show Sailor Kakyuu
21. Seiya’s crush on Usagi was so awkwardly shoehorned in. I hate it. Jesus fucking Christ Usagi is sobbing in the goddamn rain about how much she misses Mamoru and Seiya is STILL coming onto her.
22. It is literally so fucking funny to me that Mamoru spends all of Stars fucking dead. He’s just a perpetual damsel in distress.
23. Rei literally lectures Usagi about leading Seiya on and how “you need to do the right thing and tell him you already have someone,” AS IF USAGI HASN’T BEEN DOING THAT AT EVERY AVAILABLE OPPORTUNITY. THE FIRST TIME THEY MET SHE SAID SHE HAD A BOYFRIEND, SHE’S TOLD SEIYA OVER AND OVER THAT SHE ISN’T INTERESTED IN HIM, THAT SHE’S GOT A BOYFRIEND, THAT SHE LOVES HER BOYFRIEND. The fucking MISOGYNY here, like it’s Usagi leading Seiya on instead of Seiya being a fucking Nice Guy who can’t take no for a goddamn answer. Shut the fuck up, Rei.
24. Pretty sure under Kakyuu’s headdress is a pair of odango
25. The fact that Iron Mouse and Aluminum Siren both die when their bracelets are removed yet Tin Nyanko doesn’t implies that Tin Nyanko was the original Sailor Mau. Mouse and Siren dying implies that forcing senshi powers on a civilian is dangerous and that Galaxia’s bracelets are the only thing keeping them alive (albeit brainwashed). Yet Tin Nyanko seems to revert to “good” when one of her bracelets is destroyed. Galaxia has to intervene and kill her personally. Tin Nyanko may have offered her senshi powers to spare Mau (this applies only in the anime; in the manga she’s explicitly said to have killed Sailor Mau)
26. Oooh Galaxia’s angry voice is so commanding and sexy
27. Don’t gimme that “we love Usagi but we love you Starlights just as much.” No you fucking don’t. The whole death scene in the anime is just so... ugh. Bad.
28. The Outers fighting Galaxia is hilarious. They’re supposed to be stronger than the Inners yet Galaxia never even has to get out of her chair to kick their asses. The writers were trying real hard to make us fear the worst and back the senshi into a corner but literally they’ve made this an impossible battle to win that only becomes winnable due to plot armor.
29. Rewatching Stars and classic after Eternal and Crystal makes me miss the battle damage the fuku took. The new series always has them looking pristine, but in classic they actually get roughed up and battle scarred. It makes it more real.
30. Aww how come Uranus and Neptune got to keep their names when they joined Galaxia? I wanna know what whack ass Animamate name they would’ve gotten. (Also Galaxia literally just sent them out like Pokémon, wtf)
31. I feel like Saturn dying shouldn’t be possible since she’s literally a senshi of death but... whatever, go off I guess.
32. So.... Uranus and Neptune joining Galaxia to try and take her star seed is a cool idea that absolutely did not happen in the manga, and needed more than half an episode of development. Would’ve been a cool plot if it wasn’t so rushed.
33. So much of this season was rushed so they could tie the series up at a beat 200 episodes. If they really didn’t want to go over 200, they should’ve cut the Nehelennia arc (which isn’t in the manga anyway) and and focused on developing the Animamates, this sweet Harumichi betrayal plot, and explaining Chibi-Chibi??? Her existence makes no sense without Sailor Cosmos, and they just... didn’t include her??? Wtf

Finnpoe Modern AU- Single Dad!Poe- PART 2
Lmao so Part 2 was supposed to be focused on Finn and Poe’s relationship but that didn’t happen as planned so. yknow. Now there’s a Part 3 on the way where more things actually happen, Finnpoe-wise, and that should explain more about their relationship. It is also very possible that a Part 4 may happen, but all of this is for after finals end next week ANYWAY
Thank you again to Eliane, who had the original idea for this headcanon!
Part One l Part Two l Part Three
XXX
BB makes it through preschool and starts kindergarten the next year
He's nearly a year older than his classmates, but Poe is still terrified on the first day of school
He's less scared than the first first day, and now BB is comfortable enough to stick his tongue out at his dad when he catches Poe wiping tears out of the corner of his eye
But BB still allows a hug, long and tight, when it's time to say goodbye
He signs goodbye! with ease, and pride and bittersweet sorrow swell in Poe's chest
BB has a group of friends by the end of the week
BB has a lot to say, Poe hears from their parents, and Poe chuckles to himself at that
By now, Poe feels more secure in being a single parent, but he remembers Shara's fire and how that was balanced so readily but Kes's calm demeanor
It seems that BB is inheriting all of Poe's sass and spirit, totally untempered
(He doesn't mind in the slightest, though he fears the day BB realizes he can out-sarcasm his father)
Sometimes, BB complains that his Deaf friends can sign better than him, and Poe feels a pang of guilt. They've been learning together, and after a year, they've come a long way, but there are still hurdles
On top of his other classes, BB spends his afternoons in the special education classroom
They find a sense of community there; children and parents who have had similar experiences
It's easier then, better than the year before. The father and son have settled in somewhat, even though Poe dreads the end of the year- BB will switch buildings and teachers and everything will be new again
Despite the impending change, BB thrives. He can write a few shaky words and he's nearly entirely fluent in ASL by the time kindergarten ends
The summer flies by: BB is six already, losing teeth, joining the soccer team
He plays #8 on the team. He's fiercely into it, which isn't entirely helped by Poe screaming his support on the sidelines
Jess, Karé, and Snap all yell too; Kes is the only one who shows his enthusiasm at normal volumes, although Poe can never quite forget the game when BB got fouled and Kes sulked about it the entire night
They meet BB's new teachers in August, a couple of weeks before the start of school
Poe's prepared for this now. He knows what to advocate for, how to navigate the reactions to BB and the calm, placating smiles from people who look lost when they first meet his son
BB's teachers are kind, at the very least. Poe had been a public school kid, but with some financial help from Kes, he'd managed to get BB into a slightly more controlled environment- it's a private school, still a relatively big one, but Poe chose it for its positive reputation and special needs programs
His boss, Leia, had endorsed the decision- her twin brother worked in the district, and if nothing else, Poe trusts Leia’s judgment
But most of all, BB was happy there in both preschool and kindergarten, and that’s all that truly matters
They end up at the special education classroom last on the tour of the new building- Poe nods at a few familiar faces before an older-looking man introduces himself as Luke. He shakes Poe's hand firmly and signs hello back at BB, who's staring up at him, unabashed
I'm Luke, he signs, and doesn't even raise an eyebrow when BB tells him to call me BB
“I work with your sister, I think- Leia Organa,” Poe says because Luke seems all-too-familiar, and Luke nods quickly
“My little sister, yes. She’s mentioned you. She says she reminds you of her husband when he was younger.” Luke raises an eyebrow. “You’re not a troublemaker, are you?”
“No,” Poe says automatically, at the same time BB signs yes!
You’re a troublemaker, too, Poe reminds the boy, ruffling BB’s hair. His son snorts, shaking his head, and peers around Luke to see the rest of the room
“Leia likes troublemakers. She’s the best one of all,” Luke says matter-of-factly, then grins. "But- you'll want to meet the rest of our staff," Luke says, signing as he speaks and peering around the room
"There's Mr. C, and there's Finn. He's new this year, too"
Poe's stomach twists at the words- he's all for giving the benefit of the doubt, but he'd hoped for someone with a little more experience
That's his first impression of Finn- the second is that Finn is-
-well, Finn is hot. Nicely fitting jeans and a gratuitous v-neck, accompanied by a winning smile that flashes before the two men's eyes meet
Finn's eyes are warm and brown and it melts Poe on the spot
BB has already abandoned him, tearing across the room and offering his hand to Finn. Poe blinks, trying to get his thoughts in order, and introduces himself to Finn
The young man is right out of grad school (he came highly recommended, and they had to fight to get him, Luke chimes in, while Finn studies his feet), but he's always wanted to teach, even if he had a brief military stint that ended poorly
My abuela was Air Force, BB supplies
She must have been talented, Finn answers. I think I'd get scared all the way up there
I wouldn't! BB replies at lightning speed, and oh no, Finn's laugh is just as delightful as every other aspect of him
They talk for a few minutes more before Finn is stolen away by other parents and Poe decides to talk to other teachers
(I’ll be seeing you, Finn,” Poe says, and Finn just smiles back, but Poe can’t help but sneak glances at the other man, even with distance now between them
Finn catches him just once, and grins at Poe widely)
Poe doesn’t see BB’s teachers too often- there are stories from his son, occasional phone calls, and parent-teacher conferences, but he runs into Finn fairly often outside of BB-related happenings
The younger man has an apartment within a mile of Poe’s, and Luke and Leia seem somewhat determined to drag their protégés out once in a while
Dinners on a few occasions is one thing, but Poe also discovers that he and Finn frequent the same bars
(Frequent, Poe thinks, is a liberal term for a teacher and a single dad, but he does to find a free night once in a blue moon)
(It makes sense, Poe also realizes, that he would run into a man who wears sensible v-necks at the only gay bar in town)
Poe is nursing a whisky, scanning the room for anyone as tired and old as he is, when he spots Finn half hiding in a booth near the back of the room, a young brunette woman slumped next to him
They look slightly out of place, and Poe is debating if he should go say hi or not when the woman looks up at him, her gaze piercing. Poe looks away, the tips of his ears burning, but he can see her whispering to Finn out of the corner of his eye
Poe is staring determinedly at the melting ice in his drink when he hears slight scuffling behind him, then a voice says “Hi Poe, good to see you.”
Finn’s tone is somewhere between the one he uses on conference night and a clearly forced effort to sound casual, so Poe musters his best smile
“Hey Finn,” he says, friendly, then his mind goes blank
“I didn’t realize I would see you here,” Finn blurts, and his eyes go wide. His companion gives a huffy sigh before nudging Finn’s side with her elbow and retreating back to their booth
“I didn’t know you were- that you go to-” Poe is just as flustered, and neither he nor Finn can meet the other’s eyes. “-that you go to gay bars,” he finishes lamely
“I do,” Finn says, voice soft as he stares at the ground. “Well, not too often but Rey-” he jerks his head back to indicate the woman conspicuously watching them from her seat- “has been stressed lately and I wanted her to have a good night.”
Poe takes a sip of his drink. “She your girlfriend?”
There’s no hope of any sort of recovery now- Poe is vaguely tipsy, a lightweight after his son changed all his evening plans for the past two years, and Finn seems beyond flustered, but this conversation started badly, anyways
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Finn says firmly. “We’re gay- I mean she’s gay- well, I’m bi, but she’s gay- a lesbian. We only kissed once and it was real bad. We’re both single and not dating each other.”
“Good to know.” Poe says mildly, at risk of embarrassing Finn even more. Then:
“Can I buy you a drink?”

P’s interview with TV2
I - My next guest is Pernille Harder, from Denmark, one of the world's best female football players. She is used to winning on the football pitch, but there is also a lot off the field, she wants to win. Last year, Pernille took the lead in the fight for equal pay for female football players. She is also fighting for the right to love the person you love - And most recently, Pernille has supported the international movement, Black Lives Matter. Welcome to the show and to not talk about offside, knee injuries, finals, etc. I will first ask you; Why is it essential for you to use your voice for a good cause?
P - Well, I think it's because I've got a platform, I have a voice that people listen too. Personally, I have noticed what it is like not to have the same opportunities as a female football player. I did not have equal opportunities as the boys. I just think there is something in me that would like to help change society - and now that I have a platform and a voice, I can actually make a difference.
I - You have also become a prominent international football player. Is that useful for the causes?
P - Well, I can feel people are listening to me when I talk about being a role model concerning the LGBT community, when I say I want equal pay and the same conditions on the national team. Then a debate starts, people talk about it - and of course, they also hear the discussion at DBU and things can change. If no one is talking about it or starting a debate, I do not think much will happen. Or it will go much slower, at least.
I - Did you think it is something you should do? Is it something that comes with the status and the privileges you have been given?
P - I guess. I think I have some kind of commitment, but I also do it because I want to. I want to be able to change things in society. Well, I want to be a role model about things I am passionate about, and things that can be changed in society.
I - I want to show you and the viewers a picture from a football match. You play in a jersey that says "Black Lives Matter". Then you write on your Instagram: "The fight never stops. Black Lives Matter <3". Why would you also use your voice to support the rights of black people?
P - I think it is a crucial fight to take. We have known for a long time about the problems, but there has not been an enormous movement as we see it now. I also think as a white and privileged person, I do not see the problem as they do. But I have a responsibility to spread the message. Like, I am the one who is not as privileged as men, that is when you talk about equal pay, equal terms, also my sexuality in society, but when it comes to this, I am a white and privileged person, so I want to make a difference.
I - Now you mention your sexuality, you live with a woman - And it only just dawned on you how big an LGBT voice you have. This picture went viral (shows the WC 2019, "The kissing picture") - and it's Magdalena, your girlfriend, who plays for the Swedish national team here. You have put on a Swedish national team jersey as a spectator (the interviewer says slight teasingly and P laughs), and you kiss each other. It's so beautiful and sweet - but the reactions to this, they surprised you.
P - We were not aware that that picture was taken. The next day, I had 20,000 new followers on Instagram and on Twitter and a lot of people just wrote to me - Finally, I saw the picture, and I understood why. It showed Magda and me what role models we are, and we are role models together. We can also make a difference for many people all over the world, actually. There were people for America and South America who wrote to us.
I - All the reactions were they positive?
P - There was actually a part... I do not know if I only looked at the positive comments and ignored the negative… (she laughs)
I - That's what you have to do!
P continues - Yes, exactly! They were really positive and the fact that we got messages from some girls who were saying that we actually helped them to take the next step and tell their parents about their sexuality were really great. They felt more confident about it. What I think we really want is to make everything a little more acceptable in a society where it is not normal.
I - While we are sitting here talking, we can see many pictures of you and Magdalena together. After that picture, you and your girlfriend have posted a lot of pictures of yourself together. Do you do this to keep the focus on the case?
P - Yes, we just show our relationship a little and show it to make it more acceptable. I think it is essential for me and Magda's relationship that it is normal. We have been together for six years, and it is only here in the last couple of years that it has become more public. But we are not going to keep it a secret because we have become public figures. We just want to be normal and we try to show that. That two women that are together is just as normal as a man and a woman who are together.
I - Now that you have mentioned men, I do not think that there are many gay male soccer players, who would post such pictures. Do you have an explanation of why you and Magdalena with many other lesbian stars can do it?
P - I think, in the culture of men's football, you have to be macho. It is a very different culture both in the locker room and with fans. I understand the players and especially for the first player who has to do it by them self. It is hard. It really takes a lot of courage and character, but I hope that someone dares to do it - Because I think there are a lot of people who cannot be themselves. It must be awful not to be 100% yourself and have to play someone your not because you want to be a professional football player.
I - I can feel that you and Magdalena are pleased that you did it. Of course, one must be allowed to show their love. Here you are out playing football (shows a picture of here playing football) where we mostly see you. You have been named Europe's best football player once and Denmark's best football player five years in a row; Do you feel pressure with the star status? Do you think you have to come forward with these things?
P - No, I do not feel any pressure to do so. I do it because I want to, and I want to take that responsibility. I'm not the type to wait for others to do so. There should be some changes in society, and then I do my part to make it happen. Then I'm sure others will follow.
I - And now you have to go home, and when the summer holidays are over, you have to play the Champions League with Wolfsburg, your German club. Good luck, and I hope you get the trophy and  I hope you will talk about it next time you come here, Pernille. Thank you so much and have a great summer.
P - Thank you.

IT’S FINALLY DONE! Every year, the Rainbow Book List Committee has more books to review, because literature is slowing getting queerer, and children’s and YA lit are at the forefront of that change. This year, our committee of 13 people had to review nearly 500 eligible titles, and 130 (well, 129) were good enough and queer enough to make the list. There were so many terrific books that we got a special dispensation to create TWO Top Ten lists--the first time the committee has done so! The Top Tens are below, and please visit the link above for the full list.
I’m proud of our committee’s focus on diversity--along lines of race, ethnicity, queer identity, and even genre. At least half of the Top Ten Books for Young Readers and seven of the Top Ten for Teen Readers are about characters of color, and most of those were written by authors of color. We also tried to feature as many different letters of the alphabet soup as possible. I’ve noted the racial and LGBTQIA+ rep for the books that I’ve read.
Here are the Top Ten Books for Young Readers:
Tumblr media
Ana on the Edge by Sass, A.J. Ages 8 to 12. Sports Fiction/Figure Skating. MC is nonbinary and Jewish-Chinese-American. Ana is a champion figure-skater. She hates her new princess-themed program, but how can she tell her mother that, when it cost so much money? And why does it bother her so much, anyway? When she finds the word ‘nonbinary,’ she realizes why the program doesn’t fit, but she still has a lot of work to do repairing relationships that have suffered in the meantime.
The Deep & Dark Blue by Smith, Niki. Ages 8 to 12. Fantasy. One of 2 MCs is a trans girl, all characters appear to be Southeast Asian. A pair of twins flee after a political coup that puts their lives at risk. They decide to disguise themselves as Hanna and Grayce, two girls living in the Communion of the Blue, an order of weaving women who spin magic like wool. What one twin doesn’t know is that, for the other, being Grayce isn’t a disguise. This is a beautiful story about self-discovery, acceptance, and affirmation.
Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring by Burgess, Matthew and Josh Cochran (Illustrator). Ages 6 to 14. Biography. MC is a white gay man. This colorful picture-book biography traces the life and art of Keith Haring.
The Every Body Book: LGBTQ+ Inclusive Guide for Kids about Sex, Gender, Bodies, and Families by Simon, Rachel E. and Noah Grigni (Illustrator). Ages 8 to 12. Nonfiction/Health. Various identities and races included. Filled with self-affirming information, The Every Body Book uses inclusive language, illustrations, and facts to cover a number of important topics for young people including consent, relationships, gender, sex, puberty, and hormones.
King and the Dragonflies by Callender, Kacen. Ages 8 to 12. Realistic Fiction. MC is a gay black boy, his best friend is a gay white boy. King’s family–especially his father–have strong opinions about what it means to be a Black man, and they don’t allow for being gay. But King admires his friend Sandy for escaping an abusive home and living his truth no matter what. If King comes out, too, can his father learn to change?
Magic Fish by Nguyen, Trung Le. Ages 12 and up. Realistic Fiction/Fantasy. MC is a gay Vietnamese-American boy. A young Vietnamese-American boy literally can’t find the words to tell his parents that he’s gay, but cross-cultural fairytales help bridge the language barrier in this beautifully-illustrated graphic novel.
My Maddy by Pitman, Gayle E. and Violet Tobacco (Illustrator). Ages 4-8. Realistic Fiction. MC’s parent is nonbinary, MC and her parent are white. My Maddy is a heartwarming story about a young girl and her parent. Readers learn that not all parents are boys or girls; some parents are just themselves. In this young girl’s case, that parent is her Maddy, a loving, caring parent who lives outside the gender binary.
My Rainbow by Neal, DeShanna, Trinity Neal, and Art Twink (Illustrator). Ages 4-8. Realistic Fiction. MC is an autistic black trans girl. Autistic trans girl Trinity wants to have long hair, but growing it out is too itchy! None of the wigs in the store are quite right, so Mom makes Trinity a special rainbow wig.
Our Subway Baby by Mercurio, Peter and Leo Espinosa (Illustrator). Ages 4 to 8. Adoption Non-fiction. MCs are white gay men, the baby they adopt is Black. Loving illustrations help tell the story of how an infant abandoned in a NYC subway station was adopted by the man who found him and his partner.
Snapdragon by Leyh, Kat. Snapdragon. Ages 10 to 14. Fantasy. Haven’t read this one yet, so I can’t comment on its representation. Snap gets to know the town witch and discovers that she may in fact have real magic and a secret connection to Snap’s family’s past.
And here are the Top Ten Books for Teen Readers:
Tumblr media
All Boys Aren’t Blue: A Memoir-Manifesto by Johnson, George M. Ages 14 to 18. Memoir. Author/MC is a gay Black man. “Memoir-manifesto” is a well-chosen label for this book, which relates stories from the author’s childhood and young adulthood and contextualizes them within a queer Black experience. Although the author’s family is loving and supportive, pervasive heteronormativity, queerphobia, and anti-Black racism threaten his mental, emotional, and physical safety.
Camp by Rosen, L.C. Ages 14 and up. Realistic Fiction. MC and his love interest are gay Jewish boys. For Randy, going away to Camp Outland is a breath of fresh air, a time to be exactly who Randy can’t always be at school. But this year will be different. This year, Randy won’t be the flamboyant theater kid, this year Randy will be exactly the type of bro Hudson would want to date. Changing a thing or too will be necessary for Randy to succeed, even if that means leaving some friends behind.
Cemetery Boys by Thomas, Aiden. Ages 13 and up. Paranormal/Romance. MC is a trans Latino, his love interest is a gay Latino. Yadriel accidentally summons the wrong ghost in an attempt to prove himself a real brujo to his family who struggle to accept his gender identity. Though he thinks he is summoning the ghost of his cousin, he actually summons the ghost of Julian Diaz, and finds himself with not one, but two, mysterious deaths to investigate.
Circus Rose by Cornwell, Betsy. Ages 12 and up. Fantasy. One MC is white and one is mixed-race, one is a lesbian and one is questioning. Ivory and Rosie are twins and half-sisters, born to a bearded woman who refused to choose between her lovers, and raised in their mother’s circus. After a long foreign tour, they come home to find themselves under attack by religious zealots. As tragedy follows tragedy, will Ivory be able to save her circus family?
Elatsoe by Little Badger, Darcie  and Rovina Cai (Illustrator). Ages 12 and up. Mystery. MC is an aro/ace Lipan Apache girl. In this OwnVoices novel, Elatsoe is on a mission to discover who killed her beloved cousin, and why. If not for her cousin, then she is doing this for her people, the Indigenous Lipan Apache tribe. Elatsoe has the ability to raise ghosts from the dead, a tradition that has been passed down through generations. On this journey it will take vulnerability, wit, and the legends of her people for Elatsoe to understand all that is hidden in the small town of Willowbee.
I’ll Be the One by Lee, Lyla. Ages 13 and up. Realistic Fiction. MC is a bi Korean-American girl, her love interest is a bi Korean boy. Skye Shin dreams of becoming the world’s first plus-sized K-pop star, and a reality TV competition may just be her chance. To win, she’ll have to deal with fatphobic beauty standards, fierce competition, and intense media scrutiny–as well as unexpected attraction to one of her competitors.
Miss Meteor by Mejia, Tehlor Kay and Anna-Marie McLemore. Ages 14 and up. Magical Realism. (I haven’t read this one, but I think both MCs are WLW Latinas.) Lita is a star – literally. After falling to earth several years ago, she’s now living life as a teenage girl. When the annual Miss Meteor pageant rolls around, Lita decides to enter – but will her ex-best friend Chicky be willing to help her? Will the pageant help her forget about the past and imagine a new future? Lita learns that winning isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing your true self to the world – even the parts that no one else understands.
You Should See Me in a Crown by Johnson, Leah. Ages 12 and up. Realistic Fiction. MC is a black WLW (woman-loving-woman). In this affectionate rom-com, Liz Lighty finds herself an unlikely candidate for prom queen at her affluent suburban school. Shy, awkward, Black, and low-income, Liz has never felt like she belonged, and she can’t wait to leave for her dream college. But when her scholarship falls through, it seems her last resort is to win prom queen, and the scholarship money that comes with it. Liz’s plan is complicated when new girl Mack decides to run for prom queen also…and ends up running away with Liz’s heart.
War Girls by Onyebuchi, Tochi.  Ages 12 and up. Science Fiction/Afro-Futurism. Both MCs are Nigerian, one is a WLW. In a not-so-distant future, climate change and nuclear disasters have made much of the earth unlivable. In the midst of war in Nigeria, two sisters, Onyii and Ify, are torn apart and face two very different futures. As their lives progress through years of untold violence and political unrest, battles with deadly mechs and cyborg soldiers outfitted with artificial limbs and organs, they are brought together again and again and must come to terms with how the war has impacted their lives.
When We Were Magic by Gailey, Sarah. Ages 14 and up. Contemporary Fantasy. MC is a white bi/questioning girl with gay dads, her friends are racially, ethnically, and queerily diverse. This firecracker of a novel follows a group of friends who attempt to correct the accidental murder of a classmate. When We Were Magic combines magic, friendship, and awkward moments to create a captivating story. Each character brings their own uniqueness to the strong group of friends, but despite their differences, their loyalty remains. Author Sarah Gailey has written another page turning novel, with the quirky strange content to boot.

Part 1  Part 2
Part 3 here we go!!!
That night, Mark came over after his shift. Even though it was late, you wanted to talk to him about things. You still felt bad about forgetting your anniversary, especially since it was the first one, but you felt you had apologized enough. Now, there was the underlying issue of his feeling that you didn’t care as much as him.
If you were being honest with yourself, he was right. Mark took the relationship seriously. He was always looking toward the future. You never had thoughts like this. You never thought about marrying him or having kids with him. But in fairness to him, you didn’t see that with anybody. Not since Roger left you.
When Mark came through your door, he looked at you and then at the ground.
“I’m sorry I kept you waiting so long to hear from me,” he said earnestly. “I was angry, and I wanted to punish you. It was immature and I apologize.”
“Apology accepted,” you told him, and he looked up. “Now, can we talk some more?”
“Sure,” he said.
You both went to the couch. He sat beside you. A long moment passed as you waited for him to speak. you knew he had something on his mind, but he was hesitating to say it.
“Y/N, I…” he began, trailing off. “I think we should get counseling.”
You blinked, surprised. “Counseling? I thought that was just for married couples.”
“No, it’s for any two people in any kind of relationship,” he said. “I just think it would be beneficial to us to have a third party as a mediator. I think there’s a lot between us that needs work, and I’m not sure we can handle it just the two of us.”
“Mark, I dunno,” you said. “This is just a bump in the road, don’t you think? We haven’t been together very long, so -”
“We’ve been together a year, Y/N, that’s long enough,” he cut across you. “I realize that it’s a blip compared to your relationship with Roger Taylor, but he had the advantage of knowing you since childhood.”
“Yeah, I suppose that’s true,” you said.
“Speaking of which, with him back in your life, I think that’s another reason to get counseling,” he said. “It could be really helpful to you. Y’know get closure so you can move on.”
“If we’re getting couples counseling, I’m not talking about Roger,” you said firmly.
“Y/N, I think it’s important,” he insisted. “There’s damage from that which affects our relationship.”
“No, there isn’t,” you returned stubbornly.
“Yes, there is, and you know it,” he went on. “I think the sooner we break through that, the sooner you and I will be on the right track.”
“Alright,” you sighed. “We’ll get counseling if it’s important to you.”
“It is,” he said. “Thank you.”
He didn’t stay the night. Mark was quite sentimental about sex, and since things were still on edge, he didn’t want to stay over. It made sense to you, and since you didn’t feel much like making love to him either, you didn’t argue. Then you went to bed, already dreading the therapy that awaited you.
In the morning, you had meetings with both Miss Thomas and Mr. Broome. You were counting down the minutes until lunch when you would get a break from the ridiculousness.
Miss Thomas met with the man she was suing, who said that he had thought about having sex with her because she was beautiful, but he asserted that he had never acted on his feelings. Any looks or body language were unintentional, and he appeared genuinely sorry to have caused her discomfort. You tried to bargain for a settlement, but his lawyer refused, saying - quite factually - that you had no case. Miss Thomas refused to back down, and with a heavy sigh, you set a court date.
Your meeting with Mr. Broome was much more productive. His wife and her lawyer were amicable, but their thought was that Mr. Broome was merely trying to avoid alimony. It came out that the wife had also gotten a nose job in the time she was dating him, and had not disclosed it, so you felt like you might have something. Given Mr. Broome’s staunch religious values as well - which his wife claimed to share - there was a bit more to this case. Another court date was set, and you looked forward to the debate of this one.
After the meeting, Mr. Broome followed you to your office. He seemed a bit flustered as he stood in the doorway.
“Did you have a question?” you asked. “I know there’s no certainty, but if we argue well enough, the judge may very well grant the annulment.”
“I know, and believe me, I trust you,” he said. “I just wanted to...well, I wanted to say that...I….”
“It’s best to speak quickly, Frank, I don’t have much time,” you urged.
“I think you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” he blurted out. “I know it’s not right since I’m your client, but I just wanted to know if I could ask you to dinner.”
Your whole body froze with shock. Your mouth fell open.
“Oh…” you said. “Mr. Broome, you’re right it isn’t appropriate, and I’m actually in a relationship.”
“Is it serious?” he asked.
“Somewhat,” you replied. “We are exclusive, but -”
“I can win you over,” he said. “I’m a nice guy. I know the ex-wife thing might scare you off, but I-”
“Mr. Broome, we don’t even have the same values,” you cut across him. “You’re a deeply religious person, and you should know that I’m not. It could never work between us.”
He looked away, dejected.
“I’m sorry,” you said. “But I’m just not interested. Even if I was single.”
His eyes snapped to yours, a frightening determination in them. It actually made you jump.
“I’ll change your mind, Y/N,” he said. “Just you wait.”
With that, he turned on his heel and swept out of the office. You watched him disappear into the elevator.
“Oh, boy,” you said to yourself.
At lunch, Mark called you and told you he’d found a therapist and had set an appointment for later in the week. You did your best to sound enthusiastic about it, but you were sure it wasn’t convincing.
In the afternoon, your meeting with Roger and Dominique was looking like the light at the end of the tunnel. Even though it had the most potential to get emotional since it was about the kids. Everyone arrived on time as you entered the conference room. Just as you were about to take your seat, Jane came hurtling into the room.
“Gracious, Jane, what’s the matter?” you asked.
“It’s Mr. Broome,” she said. “She just called and said he’s on his way up to surprise you.”
“Oh, God,” you groaned.
“Who’s Mr. Broome?” Roger wondered.
“Another client,” you told him. “Apparently, he realized he’s got a crush on me and now he’s trying to woo me or something.”
“Tell him you have a boyfriend,” he suggested.
“I tried that,” you said. “He said he’s still going to try and win me over. I guess his religion isn’t the only thing he’s crazy about.”
“He’s really religious?” questioned Dominique.
You nodded. “Yeah, it’s actually a big part of his case.”
“I’ve got an idea,” she said. “Jane, Y/N and I are going to her office. When Mr. Broome gets here, let him in, but talk loudly so we can hear you through the door.”
“What are we going to do?” you wondered.
“Trust me,” she said.
With that, she got up, took your hand, and led you back to your office. Curious, Roger and Tim followed, but stood by at Jane’s desk so they wouldn’t disrupt. Dominique closed the door. You waited with your ears trained on the door. Finally, you heard Jane’s voice getting steadily closer. When she was just feet from the door, Dominique looked at you.
“Kiss me,” she said.
“What?!” you returned.
“Just do it!”
She cupped your face and pulled you in for a passionate kiss. You wrapped your arms around her waist and held her close, moving your lips with hers. The door opened, but you both ignored it and continued kissing.
“Y/N!” cried the shocked voice of Mr. Broome.
You and Dom jumped apart, turning quickly to see your audience. Mr. Broome, who had dropped the massive bouquet he was holding; Jane, a wide grin on her face; Roger and Tim, with their mouths hanging open; and finally Bill, who was frozen to the spot. A file he’d been holding fell onto the floor with a flop.
“Mr. Broome, I -”
“I don’t believe this,” he spat. “You said you were in a relationship, but I could imagine that you were - well - one of them!”
“Them?” you wondered.
“The homosexuals!” he cried.
You looked between him and Dominique, who was covering her mouth with her hand to disguise her amusement.
“Well, I - yes,” you said, squaring your shoulders. “I’m a lesbian and this woman here is my lover.”
“I don’t approve of homosexuality,” he returned. “I cannot pursue a courtship with you.”
“Oh,” you returned, feigning disappointment. “Well, I hope you are not so disgusted that I can no longer represent you.”
“I…” he stopped, considering it. “I suppose it would be discriminatory to fire you. You may represent me, Miss Y/L/N, but that is all.”
“Thank you, Frank,” you said, biting back a giggle. “That’s very understanding of you.”
“I’ll, um, see you next week, then,” he said.
Head down, he shoved through the people in the doorway and left. You and Dominique looked at each other, and she burst out laughing.
“What the hell just happened?!” Bill demanded. “If there were going to be girls kissing in my law firm I should have known about it!”
“It’s a long story, Bill,” you replied. “And we’ve got a meeting to get to. Tim, Rog, back to the conference room.”
“Oh, we’re supposed to carry on like normal after you just snogged my wife?!” Roger challenged, regaining his composure at last.
“Hey, I was just going along with it, Dom’s the one who used tongue,” you teased.
“I did not!” Dominique chuckled.
“Pardon me, but I’m not comfortable with what just took place or with the continuing conversation,” Tim added. “We’re supposed to be discussing custody today.”
“Right, apologies for the distraction,” you said. “But in fairness, I’ve been trying to get you all back in the conference room.”
Leaving Bill stricken, the four of you did just that. After Roger had recovered from the sight of his ex-girlfriend kissing his soon-to-be ex-wife, the conversation about custody went surprisingly well. Both Roger and Dominique agreed she should have primary custody, and that Roger was welcome to see them as often as he liked. On paper, you and Tim worked out that custody was split evenly between the parents depending on needs and schedules. It seemed that when it came to the children, the couple were in agreement for what was best for them.
“Well, that went remarkably well,” you said, closing up the file. “Thanks for your cooperation, Dominique. And thanks again for getting me out of the sights of Mr. Broome.”
“I owed you one anyway,” she said. “And as for the paperwork, Roger and I have almost always agreed when it comes to the kids.”
“That’s true,” Roger said.
You grabbed your things from the table as Dom and Tim left the room, exchanging polite goodbyes. You were alone with Roger.
“So,” he said. “How long have you and Mark been together?”
“A year,” you told him.
“I see,” he replied. “Getting serious?”
“Somewhat,” you said. “He wants us to get counseling.”
“Counseling?”
“Yeah,” you sighed. “I think he feels like there’s an imbalance and he wants to work through it.”
“That sounds like a serious relationship, Y/N,” he said. “Do you love him?”
“Maybe,” you shrugged.
“Maybe?” he questioned.
“I dunno, Rog, I feel like it’s still early,” you returned. “We’re gonna try this counseling thing out and see how it goes. He’s said that he loves me, but it’s not something I’ve said back.”
“Then he’s not wrong about the imbalance,” he said.
“Oh, do go on, Doctor Taylor,” you replied, sarcasm dripping from your voice. “Because love is just such an easy feeling to identify.”
“Did you ever question it with me?” he wondered.
That made you pause. You looked at him for a long moment.
“No,” you said softly. “Not once.”
A beat passed.
“But that’s different,” you added, looking away and heading for the door.
“How is it different?” he demanded, following you.
You marched to your office. He went in behind you and closed the door. You dropped your books onto your desk and faced him again.
“It’s different, Roger, because I knew you since we were children,” you snapped. “You were a scrawny little six-year-old shivering in my parents’ gardening shed.”
He smiled fondly. “I remember. But how does that make it any different?”
“Because we didn’t have to try,” you said. “Loving you came as easily to me as walking or breathing. There was none of that nonsense that comes with dating. We just...were.”
“Being neighbors certainly helped,” he joked.
You laughed a little. “It certainly did.”
A very pregnant pause happened as you looked at each other and recalled those days. Your muscle memory told you to lean in and kiss him, but you resisted. This was not the same neighbor boy you once knew. Whose kisses were sweet and warm. With no taste of the world of rock n’ roll. Whose eyes shone bright with hope despite his hardships. Whose smile was cheeky and fun.
This was Roger Taylor, drummer of Queen, husband to Dominique Beyrand, and father to Felix and Rory. You were sure his kisses tasted of cigarettes and alcohol. And lipstick that did not belong to you. There were fewer sparkles in those blue irises. And the smile, well….
“It’s the same,” you said aloud, without realizing.
“What?” he returned, brow furrowing.
“Your smile,” you told him. “It hasn’t aged a day.”
“What made you think of that?” he wondered.
“Nothing,” you said with a slight shake of your head, eyes still fixed on his.
Just as another lull came over you, Jane poked her head in the door.
“Y/N, we’re all heading to the bar - oh!” she gasped when she saw that Roger was still with you. “You can come too, if you like, Mr. Taylor.”
“No!” you cried, making Roger and Jane look at you. You cleared your throat. “I mean, I’m sure Roger is busy.”
“Actually, I’m free tonight,” he said slyly. “I’d love to come. Thank you, Jane.”
“Sure,” she replied huskily.
“Thank you, Jane,” you sneered, striding over and closing the door on her.
“You’re awfully short with your assistant,” he observed.
“Well, if she wasn’t such a...a….”
“Slut,” Jane finished from the other side of the door.
Roger snickered as you wrenched it open.
“Thank you, Jane,” you said severely. “We will meet you at the bar, but you can go.”
“Snappish,” she replied gently, straightening her purse on her shoulder before walking toward the elevator.
You watched her get inside and made sure the doors closed. Then you sighed and faced Roger again.
“We are supposed to remain attorney and client,” you reminded him harshly. “Why would you agree to come?”
“So that I can ask you to dance,” he said. “And we can talk. Or maybe I could just...hold you in my arms one more time.”
You softened, stunned by the outright admission. You found your defenses rising against the damage you knew he could cause.
“Why, have you forgotten what it feels like?” you challenged.
“No,” he said firmly. “That’s why I’ve missed it so much.”
You weakened further. How did he have this hold on you?
“One dance,” you said. “But nothing more.”
“Alright, then,” he said, flashing that smile.
For a fleeting moment, he was the young man you knew. That was the hold on you.
He helped you into your coat as you got your things for the night. Then you started toward the elevator. As you walked, you noticed Roger’s hand twitched toward yours before he quickly recoiled it. It was a subtle movement, but you caught it. Especially after his cheeks flushed. You decided to let him off the hook. Going down that road was no easier for you.
When you arrived at the bar, your co-workers were thrilled that your famous client had joined them for the evening. You had heard people whispering about you and Roger Taylor, and you were sure that Jane had already spilled that the two of you used to date. Luckily, you had disclosed to no one at work that Roger was your first and probably greatest love of your life.
“How about that dance?” he asked before you had the chance to sit down.
“Sure,” you said, since the song they were playing was upbeat.
To your dismay, that song was ending. As you and Roger reached the floor, the band was changing to a slower song. You held back a groan.
“See the pyramids along the Nile,” the singer began. “Watch the sunrise on a tropic isle. Just remember, darling, all the while, you belong to me.”
Roger opened his arms to you and you walked into them. He politely took one hand and placed his free one on your waist. Your free hand went to his shoulder. You held him at bay by keeping several inches between you as you began to sway to the slow melody.
“How did you and Mark meet?” he asked.
“At work,” you said. “Bill was defending him in a lawsuit, and he saw me across the office and asked me out.”
“Romantic,” he said, and you detected a hint of bitterness there.
“A bit, yeah,” you said. “I really didn’t take it too seriously. I thought we’d never have time for each other in our jobs, but here we are, a year later.”
“In therapy,” he reminded you.
“Lots of successful couples go to therapy,” you argued.
Though you weren’t in love with the idea, Roger’s disparagement annoyed you more.
He laughed. “It’s just a bit soon to need it. You don’t even love him.”
“Listen to me, Roger Taylor,” you said. “Do not presume to know my feelings. If I want you to know them, I’ll share them with you.”
A moment of silence passed between you. You wracked your brain for something to say because silence used to lead to other, more complicated things.
“So, how’d you meet Dominique?” you wondered.
“After tour,” he told you. “It was pretty early on, we had just gotten back from touring with Mott the Hoople, I think.”
You froze.
“Roger,” you said darkly when his eyes questioned you. “Are you seriously telling me that you ended things with me to sow your wild oats, only to marry the first girl you met after me?”
His cheeks went red. “Well, Y/N, it wasn’t exactly linear. I met Dominique then, but we didn’t become a couple until later. Even after, I still…”
“Cheated on her,” you finished. “God, Roger, was one woman ever going to be enough for you?”
“I’m  a different person now,” he said.
“Yeah,” you agreed. “That much I can see.”
With that, you turned on your heel and marched off the dance floor. Roger was right behind you.
“Come on, Y/N, it was a long time ago,” he said. “I was young and stupid.”
“Well, time has certainly not made you any wiser,” you spat, snatching your coat and bag from the back of your chair.
“Y/N, please!” he cried.
You both ignored the questioning glances of your coworkers as you departed the table. You burst through the door and into the cold night air. It stung your skin, but it was not as painful as your heart. So quickly after leaving you, he found the woman he would marry and have children with. It felt so brutally unfair, you could hardly draw breath.
“Y/N!” he called, jogging over to you on the street.
“No, don’t Y/N me!” you shot back, whipping around to face him. “You fucked up, Roger! That’s what happened! You fucked up with me and then you fucked up your marriage! You just - you - fucked up!”
“Hey, lady, watch the language!” scolded as passerby.
“Oh, fuck you!” you shouted at him.
“Y/N!” Roger yelled, regaining your attention. “Like I said, it’s not like I met Dominique and decided she was going to be my wife! It started as something casual, and it got out of hand!”
“Out of hand?!” you questioned.
“Yes, out of hand!” he continued. “It’s not something we should shout about in the street!”
“No,” you agreed, a frightening calm overcoming you. “No, I don’t think we should discuss it all.”
“I think we should,” he said. “You’re clearly hurt by it.”
“Yes, Roger, I am hurt by it,” you said coolly. “That’s all you’ve managed to do. Well, I won’t let you hurt me anymore. No more dances, no more talks in my office. I will not discuss with you anything - and I mean anything - outside of your divorce papers, do you understand me?”
“Y/N -”
“Do. You. Understand. Me?” you asserted.
He sighed. “Sure. If that’s what you want.”
“It is,” you said. “Good night, Roger.”
Once again, you left him alone. This time, he did not follow you. With a heavy sigh and watery eyes, he ordered a car. You were both going home, though it didn’t feel like it.

-------------
I don't like your little games Don't like your tilted stage
''Look what they wrote about us!" Harry looked at her, a little still tired from the morning sex round, his brain soft and with little ability to understand anything but Ginny's naked breasts, right next to him ''Harry Potter , 32, Order of Merlin blah blah blah, was seen chatting animatedly alongside another ex- Holyhead Harpies player, other than his wife, Ginny Potter (or can we call her Weasley again?)'' Ginny turned her head to him, a little too furious for nine on a cold Sunday morning "Terry is a lesbian! And she knows it."
''Why do you still buy this?'' Harry yawned, cuddling up to her chest, smiling at the softness of her breasts, better than the pillows, as he felt her nails on his scalp, almost driving him back to sleep.
''Why do I need to know what they are saying about us?'' He knew it wasn't really a question, so he kept quiet ''Forbidden romance is a hell. They've been separating us for years now, do you remember that about our marriage?''
Rita no longer wrote alone, now she shared the gossip podium with Beau Miller, a man no one really knew where he came from, and seemed to have won people's hearts more for his beauty than for the work itself.
'' ..Of course, what he writes is pure shit ' Harry grunted angrily, throwing the newspaper into the fire and watching it burn, irritated that he said that about Ginny ''They said she has kept me under the love potion .. Ginevra Weasley! The woman who knows very well what it is to have no control over yourself while someone else manipulates you like a puppet, would make me drink love potions! ' Harry clapped his hand on the table, suddenly feeling like he was on edge. .
He thanked for being alone.
''Is the future Potter keeping our chosen one under a potion? ' Harry feigned a very forced accent, his hand on his chest while blinking pompously into nothingness ''To hell with 'Our Chosen One' ''
It was just as irritating how much they got into their lives, saying filthy things about the two, making silly assumptions about betrayals, love potions, and even a teenage pregnancy - the picture of Ginny with Teddy in her arms gave them that.
Harry was so tired, especially now in the week of their wedding, where he was so nervous and upset that he thought he was about to fall to the floor with a heart attack. And it made it worse that Ginny was in France with Fleur, for something about her dress.
They always made him look like a fool, and Harry definitely hated them.
And it was with this resignation that he left his office, marching furiously to the building where the Prophet was.
The role you made me play Of the fool, no, I don't like you
''How to forget? I think Beau is still scared of me'' He laughed nasally, hugging the woman's waist and burying his head more in her breasts ''But it wasn't just me who did it, if I remember correctly, in your seventh year you also lost the head''
''She caught me on a bad day'' Ginny defended herself
It was supposed to be a calm Quidditch Final, at least it was what she expected.
She was prepared to face Ravenclaw with all her blood, determined to win and make use of all those training sessions under the rain and mornings that had barely emerged. She would win.
Harry being there, helped a lot too.
''If we win .. '' She said when the two met in the locker room still empty, for just one conversation.
"When you win," he said, kissing the tip of her nose before listening to her again, with all his attention and affection.
But then there was the press, as usual, and Rita Skeeter was there too, asking about silly stuff.
Ginny was on the edge, missing her stupid boyfriend who got bogged down with jobs until he missed the last trip to Hogsmeade, afraid to lose, eager to have scouts in the audience who would assess her potential to the last drop, judging her good or not for her team, nervous about the exam of her NIEM's next week .. It was so much, that having Rita distorting her words was not a real desire.
That smile ... Ginny was so eager to take it away.
I don't like your perfect crime How you laugh when you lie
''But Mrs Weasley, have you been playing just to impress a certain person? ' That had been the question after Ginny had scored 8 goals in less than an hour, and helped Gryffindor to win the Cup and being an incredible captain, being quite modest.
Of course, because everything about her was always intertwined, in some way, with Harry.
With little patience left, she decided to smile sarcastically as took the feather in her hand and kneaded it until there were no more pieces left, approaching the woman in a very unfriendly way, which made her startle and take two steps back, cowardly
''Yes, and I've been well rewarded for that. As you can see .. '' She waved her notebook with her wand, making it burn and end up nothing less than dust on the dirty floor of the locker room ''I'm great with my hands''
You said the gun was mine Isn't cool, no, I don't like you (oh!)
''You're really good with your hands'' Harry kissed the one who was resting beside him on the bed, also kissing her finger with their wedding ring, feeling the cold gold against his lips
''Thank you, I got better with time... You are lucky that I don't mind all these intrusions, because I already received some invitations to run away from you'' The man laughed, lifting his chin to look at her, green eyes playing fun
''I can't even believe what made you stay'' Ginny shrugged, smiling and running her nails over his shoulders
''Your fortune, of course''
''Ginny Potter getting married out of interest?
That's right wizard world, the Quidditch Team's great player,  Holyhead Harpies, received a marriage proposal from a Puddlemere United Team player, which we were unable to identify. And he claims that Ginny Potter told him that she will only marry Harry Potter because of his fortune.
More information on page 15.''
''Does the man say that but they don't know who he is?'' She snorted ''She loves to make me look like a disguised bitch'' Harry barely looked up from Ron's letter, drinking his coffee and wondering if he should get a piece of cake or cookies.
''She does it because she knows you read and it hits you ' The bride turned like a rabid dog towards him
''Hit me? Please, Harry! I am furious that they do not destroy the image of a man who proposed to a committed person, but make up this shit about me .. I'm sure that tonight she will be there'' The Ministry party, the one that the two tried to make up any excuse for not to go, but that in the end, he had been obliged to attend. ''Do you know something? I will use the diamonds you gave me. And I'm going to buy a new dress.'' Ginny got up from the table
''I thought diamonds would be for special occasions'' He joked, still not looking at her
"And isn't that special?" He risked looking at her; her cheeks flushed like fire, hair up in a quick bun and his shirt as pajamas ''Wear your expensive suit too. We will be the most glamorous couple of that idiot party'' And then she left, stomping firmly and still babbling curses along the way.
 [...]
''How I look?'' Ginny came out of the closet, and Harry started to wonder if they really needed to go to that stupid party, or if he could invent a disease that made him stuck at home.
She was stunning, the dress was golden and long, falling very close to her body and with straps so thin that he didn’t know how they didn’t split in half, a straight neckline that made her breasts look so stunning it was like he was 17 years and be embarrassed to see them. Her hair was tied in a neat bun, the diamond earrings matched the ring he had given her last month, delicate but shiny like party globes. Her lips were blood red, her eyes painted black and gold that made Harry forget the time she had spent in the bathroom.
''Wow'' He blinked a few times, watching her approach and fix his tie, blinking innocently and laughing
''Thank you my love, you are also beautiful ..'' Her hands smoothed the suit well aligned, seeming to approve that he had listened to her and put on the expensive piece ''I loved the gold buttons, they really make a great pair with my dress'' Ginny put her arm through his ''Can we go, Mr Potter? I need to parade with my rich fiance around.''
''I never felt so happy that I was being extorted'' They laughed, finishing getting what they needed before apparating to the Ballroom who were told it would be the event, identifying themselves at the entrance and smiling at the first camera that appeared , ignoring all the looks that some gave him "I come back from the dead, but what they care about is whether my future wife is about to kill me to keep my fortune or not .. "
But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
''Because it sells more newspapers when they talk about a selfish bitch'' Ginny faked a smile ''Look, everyone commenting about us.' The circle of journalists seemed about to burst with excitement when they saw them coming in, ignoring anyone else more important that it passed them, seeming to argue about who should go to the couple first
"They must be arguing about what you had to do to get these earrings"
''I hope they're being creative .. Just a blowjob wouldn't pay'' Harry laughed, wrapping his arm around her waist and bowing a little - she was on heels, they weren't so different in height now - to whisper;
''But I wouldn't mind buying you jewelry for every time you have your mouth full ' The woman blushed, biting her lip and looking at it boldly
''I'll have an arsenal of them then'' Before he could make any further comments, their names were called, and Rita Skeeter was right there in front, smiling from ear to ear
''Mr and Mrs Potter.'' Her false tone got to make Harry sick ''As always; admirable'' Rita blinked a few times at the diamond in Ginny's ears, almost approaching to assess the jewel ''It would be an honor to have an interview with you, there are several fans who are dying to know more details of the wedding of two such important...wizards'' She looked up and down at Ginny, as if assessing whether she was worth it that much.
Because, she was always Harry Potter's girlfriend, and nothing more. Forget her career as a player, and all her other merits.
''I can only say it will be luxurious'' Ginny commented, as much as it was a lie ''Nothing more'' She smiled falsely ''And even, I remember putting your name on the list'' Rita seemed to be excited, eyes and puffing out the chest
''We have an extensive list, you see, but we don't forget you'' Harry assured
''It's a great honor-- ''
'' --The list, of course, forbidden people'' The redhead smiled from ear to ear ''Now, if you'll excuse me ... ''
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined I check it once, then I check it twice, oh! Look what you made me do
''She spoke shit of our marriage for a week'' Harry sighed ''I have never been so sad''
''She made me do that'' Ginny shrugged. ''That dress really made me beautiful. I hate you for tearing it up'' She slapped her husband on the back, who was laughing against her warm skin.
''You didn't look angry when I did that. In fact, I remember you groaned a lot. We had complaints from neighbors underneath''
''Living in a building was the worst idea ever'' Harry nodded, getting back on her chest, smiling at the feeling of being at home. ''She asked me for help\ last week''
"Who?"
''Rita'' Ginny laughed ''Maybe that's why today's story, she must be mad since I refused to help her''
I don't like your kingdom keys They once belonged to me
''Me and you?'' Ginny spoke a little disappointed, looking at the empty room and then at the woman in front of her ''I work at the sports session, Rita''
"But I need you to help me, Chudley Cannons has this new player and .."
'' ..I won't intercept them for you, do your dirty work alone'' The blonde nodded, looking unexpectedly like a demon from those muggle movies she and Harry had been watching
''My job is not dirty, Mrs Potter, it is as worthy as yours'' Ginny laughed, staring at her with an even worrying calm, seeing that lying red face in front of her ''We should unite here, be solidary with the other.''
''A job that consists of being invasive in the lives of others and making up lies, is not a worthy job, Mrs. Skeeter'' The last name looked like poison on her lips ''The last time I helped you, my name ended up in a not so friendly story about a naked photo of me that they had taken and were trying to sell around ... It seems that you didn't think much about the 'female sorority' before launching the article defaming me''
''I don't invent anything'' Ginny nodded sarcastically, turning away and heading back to her work area
''I'm sure not ... But thank me Rita, for not writing gossip'' Then she looked over her shoulder, still seeing her standing there ''I would have great topics to comment on''
You asked me for a place to sleep Locked me out and threw a feast (what?)
''I think they're going to fire her ... Beau has also been walking the tightrope for the past few days'' She dropped the newspaper, lying on the bed and coming face to face with Harry, rubbing his face and sighing tiredly ''Not that I care, it's just Karma''
''Definitely'' The husband kissed the tip of her nose, then the cheeks, until he reached her mouth, smiling and winking still a little sleepy ''The guy who sold the photos is still in prison. I went to Askaban yesterday and saw him, he looked a little crazy and upset when he saw me. The guards say he started having nightmares about me killing him.''
''Urgh, can't this family stay away from the drama for even a second? If Beau listens, you can be sure that tomorrow is the first page dedicated to that. "Harry Potter, the savior of the wizarding world or a torturer of defenseless poor people?"
''He's definitely not a helpless poor. And he's lucky that I didn't find him, because I would have left him with more damage than just a cut on his shoulder'' The green eyes darkened, and Ginny knew he wasn't horny ''They treated him so lovingly I even thought they would give him they own bed for him to spend the night ... While you can't leave the house for a week!''
''It's an unfair world, babe'' And as if that still didn't torment her, Ginny kissed her husband, relieved by the feeling that ran through her, as if the tension had evaporated away and only the two existed
The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma
''But I have you, my great savior'' She kissed him again, less deeply this time ''Some guys told me I deserved it ... You know, for whatever shit they believe I did. Michael met me on the street and said it was just me reaping what I planted.'' Harry rolled his eyes, sighing and seeming to control any instinct to leave their bed and go after each one
''I hate them so much'' Ginny nodded ''Last week a trainee made a joke about your poster is on the bedroom wall, facing the bed. I don't think he wanted me to hear'' His wife laughed, throwing her head back and happy that he could break the tension ''I'm serious, he affected having seen death''
'' ..I leave it facing my bed, because you know, don't you? Lonely nights and everything'' Harry took a deep breath, already being spotted by the freshman's other colleague, who was as white as paper looking over the boy's head, his eyes wide.
''If you continue like this, only what you will have will be lonely nights'' Then his malicious laugh stopped, and Harry even doubted that his breath was gone.
''Erm .. Sorry, Har ... Mr Potter'' The boy turned around, looking much more like one of their children when they were caught tampering with something where it shouldn't have been, not as an auror in training.
''Not that you should apologize to me, it wasn't my ass that you were using as an aid to wanking ... But hopefully next time, it will appear in your mind and leave it soft enough to not want to play for a week'''
And then the world moves on, but one thing's for sure
Maybe I got mine, but you'll all get yours
''He's still not looking me in the eye'' Ginny was still laughing, trying to contain the noise so as not to wake her children but looking almost impossible
''I really hope he saw your ass instead of mine .. Not that yours is ugly, I love her'' She kissed the tip of his nose, reaching down to squeeze the naked flesh ''All round and perfect'' Another kiss
''But it wasn't the one he wanted to see'' Ginny nodded, letting her be hugged ''I'm sorry for all this meddling''
''You don't have to apologize for anything, they're the ones who are fucking invasive. I accepted that life back in my fifth year, when you kissed me, and it wouldn't change a single point of my decisions '' The two looked at each other, Harry looking much more naked than he really was, blinking those beautiful green eyes in her direction, with a slight smile on his face
''I love you ... even if you are just here to steal my fortune, or if you are looking to get away with someone else ... ''
"... Or that I'm keeping you under the Love Potion?" Harry laughed, nodding
''Yes, I still love you so much'' Ginny smiled, even after all these years, still blushing shyly
''You look so romantic after I fuck you good'' He shrugged
"That's what they say ... But they say a lot, they already said they couldn't trust me when I was only 15 years old."
'' ..And today they use your opinion as a guide'' Ginny reminded him ''They always seem so sorry when you talk about the war'' Not that Harry talked much, but there was always a lecture here or there, and rather intrusive questions on the anniversary that marked the end. ''Rita always seems sorry about that time, but I never know if it is because we discovered her cover or just because there is a little humanity in her ... Anyway, I don't trust her at all. Not that she trusts me too much, of course. ''
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
Harry laughed softly, running his fingers over her cheek and outlining his wife's face, as if he wanted to frame her to never forget. Ginny took a hand on her cheek, kissing the scar he had acquired in the fifth year, as if to prove that they were there now. Better. Alive
''The date is coming ... What will they all write this time?'' Ginny shrugged, interlacing her fingers with his and approaching her husband, wrapping her bare leg around his waist
"Some shit that will make somebody cry and say 'he was just a kid!' while they congratulate you and frighten our children'' Our children, it was one of the things he would never tire of listening to. Harry chuckled, relaxing against her, laying his head back in the middle of her soft breasts, being surrounded by that heady scent that he would never get sick of.
''Isn't it crazy to think that Teddy is already so big? We're getting old ''
''Oh, don't say that too loud, magazines love to remind us of that. Last week a magazine said I should cut my hair again to 'look younger'.'' Harry laughed, running his fingers over the red strands that were on the pillow, not as long as when they were teenagers, but not as small as when she was played, but still incredibly beautiful.
''We're not the same anymore, are we?'' She doesn't need to ask what exactly he was talking about. The war had changed everyone, but Ginny and Harry would never be forgotten about their changes, even if she cut her hair and he let his hair grow, there would always be a gossip magazine reminding them who they once were. Students leading a movement against the Ministry, teenagers having to deal with things that not even an adult would handle well, among thousands more.
''It would be impossible to be'' She smiled a little colorless, before her maternal instinct warned her ''James woke up.'' And the alone and comfortable moment was over, the two of them picked up their fallen pajamas by the bed and they dressed at impressive speed, much faster and more prepared than when they were young and didn't want to be caught by Molly. Her mother was much more understandable than a 7-year-old son, under locked doors
They would never be the same again.
I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now
Why?
Oh, 'cause she's dead!
''Good morning, mate'' Harry unlocked the door when the little one knocked, waving him to come to bed with them, as he knew it was his wish
''Morning'' he murmured sleepily, still looking sleepy, scratching his brown eyes and crawling on the sheets to stay in the middle, laying his head on his mother's chest like a baby, before going back to sleep calmly. Ginny kissed his slightly sweaty hair and hugged the small body that was now glued to hers.
''How long until the other two come too?'' She whispered, laughing softly as ahe tried to hear if there was noise from the other rooms as well.
''A few minutes'' Harry didn't look sad ''We can still run away ... We took them all and we were gone for a week'' Ginny laughed, denying and using her free hand to ruffle her husband's hair
''You could never do that'' She unmasked him ''But we can get away after an interview, I know the kids will love it ... ''
 [...]
When the day came, there were, as always, reporters, cameras and people everywhere. It seemed that they never got tired of questioning every morbid detail of what the trio had been through in those years at Hogwarts.
But before the second interview started, Harry simply apparated with his whole family out, leaving everyone gaping when the six Potter (because Teddy would always be a Potter) simply disappeared, waving to the journalists before landing at the beach house of them, not far from London, but hidden enough that no one could find them.
"Tomorrow this will be on the cover of magazines" And it was.
''I do not care. They forced me to do this.. Ask about all the shit I went through? I do not care. Tease the kids?'' He waved to the kids running from Teddy who claimed to be a monster, laughing and screaming loudly, looking a lot less tense than they did a few minutes ago, when five journalists surrounded they to ask questions. ''I don't accept'' Harry would never let them take away their peace.
''Harry Potter, the wizard who saved the world or just a man in need of attention?
Harry Potter, 32, First Order of Merlin, Chief of Aurors, attended the Annual Anniversary Meeting of the End of the Second Witch War, with his wife Ginny Potter, his sons James, Albus and Lily Potter, as well as his godson Edward Lupin (known like Teddy). After the first interview (see more on page 15) the wizard who saved the world looked irritated when some questions started to be asked, and simply apparated the whole family out.
What does the editor of this newspaper think of this? Of two things, one; does the wizard who saved the world need attention and need his name back in the tabloids, or is it just a way to make everyone forget the possible betrayal he committed (see more on page 18) last Friday? ''
Look what you made me do
