You're not a monster
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Wen Ning (revived), who finds the reader caught in a net in the forest? Will it turn out that there are certain cultivator hunters who are catching cultivators to get information about Yin Iron? Then they travel together and gradually develop feelings for each other?
Pairing: Wen Ning x gn!reader
Word Count: 1.9k words
A/N I am so sorry that this took so long! I'll be honest, this request was a bit difficult due to the Yin Iron part in your request, since it basically just a censorship in the series and it does not really have decent meaning or reason to be there... That and I also had a writers block :/
Tumblr media
Wen Ning was confused. The forest he resided in ever so often was usually quiet, not even the sounds of birds could be heard. Yet now, everything was a mess. Loud shouts pulled him deeper in the forest, making the despair of the forest more clear as Wen Ning noticed the sword marks in the trees. Then he noticed them, a group of men that surrounded a net that hung high in the air. Wen Ning quietly snuck closer, lucky that he barely made a sound as he got closer and closer to the source of the shouts.
When he got close enough, he noticed that the net did not hold an animal but rather a person. You were unconscious and Wen Ning winced as he took a closer look at your form. Cuts littered your form, some deeper than others, as the blood seeped through your clothes and dripping down to the ground. The group that surrounded the net were arguing loudly, shouting at each other while seemingly ignoring you. Wen Ning could hear their argument clearly, he could've heard them from miles away thanks to their volume, and he backed away when he heard the Yin Iron being mentioned a few times. He didn't want to be involved in this fight in any way, especially as someone who had a relative connection to the Yin Iron. Yet the little voice in his head would yell at him, pushing him to help out.
Without realizing, the chains around his torso started to loosen up and turn red. They inched closer to the group of men before shooting up and wrapping around the neck of the closest man. The chains tightened, just enough to render the man unconscious before moving on to the next victim. All five of the man were soon on the ground, eyes closed as they stayed in their forced slumber. The chains retreated before wrapping back around Wen Ning's torso, the weight finally resting back on his shoulders. His eyes moved to your form again, moving closer as he unwrapped the ropes to lower you. Once you were on the ground, Wen Ning pulled you out of the net before checking your state. You were alive, that was something. He lifted you from the ground, making sure you wouldn't lay in the dirt any longer. He'd have to take care of your wounds first, an infection was the last thing you needed now.
So Wen Ning spend the rest of the day tending to your wounds, wrapping them carefully after applying some medicine. And as the night fell, Wen Ning stayed awake to keep guard.
Tumblr media
"Can you help out for a second!" You called out to Wen Ning, who came to your side the second he heard your shout, and he paused as he saw you. Your robes were down halfway, revealing your shoulders and back to him. The bandage around your shoulder was loose, but you were clearly struggling to replace it. So he kneeled behind you and started to remove the bandage, trying to be careful to not hurt you or to irritate the wound. When it was all off, he took the clean bandage from your hand and reapplying it to your shoulder. It didn't take long for it to be finished, wrapped tightly and covering the wound enough. You pulled your robes back up, tightening them before turning your head to face Wen Ning.
"Thank you." You gave him a short smile and Wen Ning knew that he would've blushed if he was still alive. Luckily, he was not and thus he remained as pale as before while shyly looking away. He returned to his previous task, the fire before him was still unlit and it was necessary with the rapid decrease of temperature. He wasn't used to making fires, he didn't need it thanks to the state of his body and yet you did.
"Do you need help?" You asked as you approached him, leaning over him to watch the wood and he looked straight up at you. You flinched slightly at the sudden eye contact before giggling at how cute he looked, staring up to you with wide eyes. You moved from behind him and crouched, taking the stones from his hands.
"God, you're freezing." You spoke as your hands touched his and he was quick to pull back from you, but you didn't stop as you grabbed his hand. You held it tightly, trying to warm his hand up with your own to no avail. The man just stared at you as you tried to warm him up, feeling shy immediatley when he realized how weird it must look for others. He pulled his hand back after a few seconds, awkwardly moving away from you until he was at arms length. You took ahold of the stones again, lighting the fire withing a few minutes before looking back at Wen Ning.
"I apologize if I made you uncomfortable." You said, but Wen Ning was quick to shake his head at the statement. You just smiled at him before sitting down on your make-shift bed. Wen Ning just watched as you fell asleep, hands moving closer to the fire to feel the warmth that he hadn't felt in so long. It left him with a longing for life, wishing he were not dead.
Tumblr media
Wen Ning wasn't perfect, but surprisingly he was a perfect hugger. You barely remember what happened before you landed in his arms, you just remember a flash in the corner of your eyes before you jumped to Wen Ning. Without hesitation, his arms wrapped around your form to catch you and you almost melted in his hold. Even when he lacked the warmth of a normal human, you felt warmth embrace your body anyway.
"It was just a bird..." Wen Ning speaks and you look up at him, giving him a bright smile before releasing him from your grip. He followed your lead, unwrapping his arms from your form and taking a step back before looking at where the bird had landed. It looked sick, it's feathers pulled out and its skin pale. If anything, it was already dead. He went closer, poking at the bird and you were quick to pull him back.
"He's sick, do you want to get it too?" You hissed and Wen Ning looked up at you before turning back to the bird in question.
"I won't be harmed, I don't get sick." He explained, ignoring your confusion as he inspected the cause of the bird's death. The ominous feeling he got was quite similar to his own vibe, which only made him frown. Neither the Yin Iron or Wuxian were here near, so why would this bird be so corrupted? He abruptly stood up, looking around before marching to where he assumed it came from. You followed him, unaware of how he was finding his way. That was until you reached the destination, the land rotted and broken with a stench of death hanging around.
"Wen Ning?" You stepped closer to the man, grabbing his arm in a way of support as you were being pressed down by the heavy air. Your stomach was doing turns, almost making you hurl out the contents of your stomach. He moved back again, he was not going into the decayed forest with you. Although you were still far enough, you were clearly sick from the atmosphere and Wen Ning was quick to remove you by picking you up and leaving the grounds quickly. Once far enough, he laid you down before asking you if you were okay. You took a few seconds to breath in the fresher air before nodding at him, sitting up and sighing loudly.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Wen Ning asked again and you raised your hands to grab his face before nodding again. Wen Ning just stared, frozen thanks to your actions and unable to process his thoughts. He was pulled out of the thoughts, however, as you moved your hands to his neck before freezing. It was clear why, even his sister had been weirded out by his lack of living. No heartbeat and no body heat, the basic things that defined if someone was alive or not and he lacked. You didn't react much, you just let go and stared back into the forest.
"We should probably get away..." You finally broke the silence, getting up before extending your hand to him with a smile. You didn't speak of it again, but Wen Ning could sense your curiosity. He just wished he could
Tumblr media
Wen Ning should've know that entering the nearby town would be a bad idea. People knew him, they recognized him by the chains that decorated his body and the veins that creeped up his skin. Whispers surrounded you and him, but you didn't seem to listen as you hopped from stall to stall to inspect the food. Yet he couldn't help but worry about your actual reaction, uncertain whether you would remain by his side. Although he wouldn't mind being alone, he had grown attached to your presence. You were a way for him to feel human again, which might be selfish in a way but he did not care.
"Are you bothered by the crowd?" You had returned to his side, grasping his arm softly and pulling him from his thoughts effectively. He looked at you before shrinking slightly as he heard someone loudly throw insults his way.
"Shut it!" You yelled loudly to the group of men by the road, glaring their way before dragging Wen Ning away. Wen Ning wanted to thank you, but chose not to when he noticed your current annoyance. Unfortunately, the whispers didn't stop until you reached the end of the town and by then you were fuming.
"Does it not bother you? The whispers behind your back?" You turned around and looked at Wen Ning, who only shrugged before stating that it was the truth.
"That doesn't mean they can call you a monster!" You were angry, Wen Ning could sense that even when you weren't actually mean to him. You looked angry, but at the same time you looked sad.
"Why does it matter..?" Right then and there, you broke as you watched him. He clearly believed the statements in a way, not wanting to even fight for himself or his dignity. You marched closer to him, throwing your arms around his neck and pulling him into a tight hug.
"You are anything but a monster..." You whispered in his ear, making sure to embrace him tightly and just waiting for him to respond in any way. He took a few seconds before he slowly wrapped his own arms around you. The hug was comforting to him, like a warm blanket on a cold night. He melted in your touch, a weight suddenly dropping on your shoulder as he laid down his head.
"You might not love yourself, but I do." The words came out without a second thought, you didn't know why but you didn't care since it seemed to make Wen Ning happier again as his arms tightened around you slightly.
"Thank you..." His voice was soft, barely a whisper as he moved away and you smiled as you moved back slightly to view his face. He was smiling as well, albeit a shyer smile, and you sighed softly. On one hand, you wanted to just kiss him but on the other hand you just wanted to squish his face and tell him how adorable he looked. You decided to do neither of those, instead you opted for taking ahold of his hand with a smile.
"Let's move on then, shall we?"

Luna Strike was an unusual wolf. She had fluffy grey fur and large golden eyes that shone like the sunrise. However, the thing that set her apart from other wolves was her unique ability. Luna had the power to channel electricity, which made her a very dangerous fighter.
Luna had lived in the woods with her family for as long as she could remember. Her parents worked hard to provide for their pack and to protect the wild creatures of the forest. Luna loved her home, but she longed for adventure. She longed to explore the vast forest and discover all of its secrets.
One day, Luna was out exploring when she stumbled upon a group of humans living in the woods. At first, they seemed hostile towards her, but Luna didn't give up. She used her electricity to stun the humans, but before they could react, she ran back to her pack.
Luna's parents were shocked to see her return with humans as her only souvenirs. They could not believe what their weak-willed daughter had done. Luna shook her head, "I didn't mean to upset them. I just wanted to see where they came from."
Luna's parents were not convinced and ordered her to leave the forest. Luna couldn't bear to leave her home, but she knew she had to. She walked out of the woods, leaving her old life behind, and into a new one filled with possibilities.
Days turned into weeks, and Luna found herself in a new town. It was filled with humans and robots, but Luna didn't feel out of place. She made friends with a group of children and even began to help them with their schoolwork.
As Luna became more integrated into the human community, she began to noticed a strange energy in the air. The adults were panicking and stockpiling food and supplies. Luna couldn't help but feel responsible for her new friends and their families.
She decided to investigate the source of this energy and set out on a journey far beyond the town's boundaries. She traveled through the woods and met all sorts of creatures, from giant ants to tree spirits. But Luna never gave up her search for answers.
Finally, after days of searching, Luna found what she was looking for. At the center of the energy was a building that housed a massive electromagnetic generator. Luna knew that this machine was responsible for the panic in the town, and she had to shut it down.
Luna fought her way through the building, using her electricity to stun the machines that stood in her way. Finally, she reached the source of the energy: the electromagnetic generator. Luna quickly dismantled the machine and shut down the panic.
In the aftermath of the crisis, Luna found that she had made new friends in both human and animal communities. She had learned that humans and animals could live together in harmony, and that adventure wasn't always about fighting. Luna felt grateful for the experiences she had had, and she knew that she would never forget them.
From that day on, Luna continued to use her unique power to help others, whether they were just in need of a helping hand, or in danger of destruction. Luna had found her true calling, and she knew that wherever her journey led her, she would be ready to face it with courage and determination.

Mdzs scenario!
MO DAO ZU SHI X READER
(NO GENDER MENTIONED)
Au: you've died however you find yourself waking up. You're greeted by a goddess who tells you that you must choose someone to reincarnate as. She also tells you that you'll have a SYSTEM.
(read the bottom for more info pls)
Some things can't be avoided.
Wei Wuxian = you'll still fall down the burial mounds no matter what you do. ( SYSTEM will force you to go so killing wen chao isn't solving it. )
Lan Wanji = The whippings he got in the canon is something you're also going to suffer. ( If not for one reason than another SYSTEM will make sure of that. )
Jin guangyao = You must still kill Nie mingjue. ( Have fun dealing with Nie Huaisang. )
Wen Chao = Wei Wuxian MUST be thrown the burial mounds by you/Wen Chao and the Jiang's must be killed.
Jiang Yanli = Sacrificing yourself to save Wei Wuxian is something you must do. ( Going to the battlefield where she died. ) [ Hint: bring a sword instead of going weaponless like the canon and learn to use it. Might help :) ]
Wen Qing = you will still have to do the golden core removal to wei wuxian. You must also turn yourself in to the Jin's.
Who do you choose? THINK carefully.
Author note: sorry if this doesn't make much sense it's all for fun so don't think much of it! Leave a note to support me <3 thank you for reading.

@fengxinwifutobecalled it turned out to be a long oneshot.
Jealous Lan Wangji x Reader
It was years ago (even a couple of years before the presence of WWX at Gusu) when Lan Wangji first saw you at Cloud Recesses.
He or almost all at Gusu didn’t know where you were from or anything about you except your name was Y/N but one thing was sure that you didn’t look like you were from anywhere around.
There were strange gossips those days that Lan Qiren found you lost in the forest , you were from a strange land and was not even familiar with language at Gusu.
Anyway, It wasn’t Lan Wangji business to get to know you or at least he thought so back then.
Then his uncle wanted Lan Wangji to teach you some basics of language and rules at Cloud Recesses.
Lan Wangji didn’t argue why he has to teach you , when you could have been sent to a class with kids (even though he assumed that you were around his age) but he just accepted the task.
You didn’t seem to be a quick learner as you pissed off Lan Wangji often by forgetting stuff he just taught, but fortunately he didn’t give up and you made him proud when finally nailed writing down a Cloud Recesses rule one day.
Once you found Lan Wangji was fond of rabbits and you always drew a rabbit under every assignment given by him earning a slight smile which was unsual
Another day you saw Lan Wangji he was staring at Gentian House in dismay and you presented him a wooden amulet carved in the shaped of a rabbit .
He widened his eyes . He knew that you did not know anything about his mother or any of his regrets yet sensed some grief in him.
Somehow it made his heart warm but he was slow to show it on his face.
Two years passed and Lan Wangji felt it didn’t matter who thought how strange or flawed you were but your simple gestures put him on much ease.
However, he didn’t know to how much he cherished your attention until one day
A batch of new students from different clans arrived at Cloud Recesses.
These curious students figured Lan Wangji was an ice prince since the day they had arrived but Yunmeng Jiang clan students especially Wei Wuxian never stopped annoying him.
First Wei Wuxian found Lan Wangji was similar to a private tutor to someone called Y/N who came to Cloud Recesses from a distant land and no new student had seen you yet.
Wei Wuxian was naturally curious of what you were like and dragged unwilling Jiang Cheng along with him to find you.
They saw someone who was looking outlandish in the library and Wei Wuxian immediately asked “So are you the secret disciple of Cloud Recesses?”
You startled by the sudden voice and few books fell from your hand . Wei Wuxian giggled.
Jiang Cheng nudged him and turned to you “Apologies. We are Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian from Yunmeng Jiang clan. Are you Y/N? ”
“Yes” you nodded.
“Don’t you like to meet new people at Cloud Recesses or are you waiting for someone?” Wei Wuxian winked .
You froze . Did he know that you have a huge crush on Lan Wangji ? But this stranger hadn’t even spent a week at Cloud Recesses yet.
“Let’s go” while you were lost in thoughts Wei Wuxian dragged you to where some students including Wen Ning, Nie Huaisang and Jiang Yanli were getting ready to go for a stroll.
He introduced you to them and started asking random questions while walking.
“is Lan Zhan cold to you?” Wei Wuxian asked.
“He is haughty and hot tempered what else ? Isn’t it Y/N?” Jiang Cheng added.
You smiled “ No. He is not haughty. I think …”
“Bahaha” Wei Wuxian bursted into laughter. “No haughty…not haughty… haha a good one”
Accidentally, his arm clashed your shoulder and you lost your balance but luckily, Jiang Cheng threw his arm around your shoulder to prevent falling down.
Suddenly, everyone went silent and stopped walking. It seemed that they were looking at someone in front. As soon as you looked up you saw fuming Lan Wangji .
“Let go” Lan Wangji glared at Jiang Cheng whose arm was around your shoulder.
“I was just helping.” Jiang Cheng instantly retreated.
Lan Wangji turned to you “Y/N” he said strenly. “Bunking classes is not allowed”
Your avoided his eyes and looked down. Lan Wangji turned around after glaring at everyone.
Before he walked off while you were following him.“He likes drama doesn’t he?” Wei Wuxian mumbled to Nie Huaisang “Hmm why care about a little hug that much when he is not even Y/N’s boyfriend?” Nie Huaisang whispered back and it was overheard by Lan Wangji.
Lan Wangji turned back in arrow speed wielding Bichen and its blade stopped almost touching Nie Huaisang’s chest.
His furious eyes expressed “back off. It’s none of your business” and before others recovered from gasping he withdrew Bichen and strode off.
You had to run behind him to the library where Lan Wangji used to conduct classes for you.
Lan Wangji stood next to his seat but glare in his eyes had not yet left him.
“I’m sorry” fear that Lan Wangji would hate you enough to shut you off from his life teared your eyes.
“Write! No skipping classes 50 times” Lan Wangji said harshly.
Writing usually took much effort and time of you so you thought to hand over yesterday’s assignment to Lan Wangji before you started your punishment.
You slowly walked to him to handover your assignment and went to a far end corner of the library. Lan Wangji looked over it and saw the rabbit drawn by you for Lan Wangji in a separate paper.
He instantly grabbed a book from his desk and made his way to where you headed .
As you didn’t not have new papers to write you had to get some but new papers were stored in the top of a book shelf.
You weren’t a tall disciple and when no one was around it was your secret to grab a stool and climbed on it to grab books or papers from top of book shelves.
You didn’t expect Lan Wangji to follow you and when he appeared behind you were already standing on the stool.
“You made a boyfriend?”
You startled by his presence and almost fell from the stool but in the nick of time Lan Wangji caught you lightly by your waist and twirled you to face him.
“Jiang Cheng” Lan Wangji spoke bitterly as his face was still tinted with anger. You confused . Was it because Lan Wangji saw Jiang Cheng’s arm around your shoulder? Did he care?
“N..No” you muttered nervously.
“Mn” Lan Wangji uttered and released one of his hands from your waist to present the book that he was carrying.
You opened it to found that it was consisted of all rabbits that you have drawn for him.
“Lan…Lan Zhan you kept them all?” You could not hide your adoration for his man.
“Mn” pushing you against the book shelf and Lan Wangji tightening the grip on your waist.
His stunning face made his way to you at brisk, connecting his soft lips with yours.
Your mind went blank as Lan Wangji’s stole your first ever kiss.
From your lips Lan Wangji Next moved to your neck “Lan..Lan Zhan” you moaned hugging Lan Wangji, when he was marking your skin.
“Mn” Lan Wangji hummed as he caressed your shoulder like if it was the way he untainted the touch of Jiang Cheng.
Suddenly, some footsteps were heard beyond indicating you were still in a public place. “Baobei … Jingshi” Lan Wangji whispered in a husky voice before escorting you to Jingshi through a different passage to continue rest of love making.

If it Means to Remain by Your Side
From the list I posted yesterday, I'm gonna start with the Dan Heng x Reader MDZS inpsired fic first.
Characters and plot won’t be as accurate to the inspired plot. Especially for this story which involves a lot of adults and teens an not much children.  So many characters are left out simply due to the fact that a lot of npcs either didn’t fit the role, or were far too young for my standards.
I also ended up having to lean more onto the live action version than the novel/manhua version. Not all characters casted are exactly accurate too, as there are more traumatized than non-traumatized.
Cast
Dan Heng  - Lan zhan/Lan Wangji
Reader - Wei Ying/Wei Wuxian
Jing Yuan - Lan Xichen
Blade/Yingxing - Song Lan
March - Lan Jingyi
Yukong - Jian Yanli
Tingyun - Jin Guangyao
Jingliu - Xue Yang
Baiheng - Xiao Xingchen
Yanqing - Jin Ling
Ruan Mei _ Baoshan Sanren
Luocha - Jin Zixuan (Ik Yukong and him aren’t a ship, but it'll have to do as Honkai doesn’t really have a F and M implied relations. I mean the only ones that do are in a love triangle.)
Xueyi - Wen Ning
Hanya - Wen Qing
Qingque - Nie Huaisang
Diting - Fairy
Fu Xuan - Jiang Cheng
Guinaifen - Lan Sizhui/Lan Yuan (Again, not a ship as Yanqing is too fight frenzy of a kid to actually have a crush. I just think these two would pair well as friends)
Sushang - A-Qing
Setting/Sects
Luofu -- Gusu Lan
Dan Heng

I literally looked up all the different alliance of Xianzhou just to see which would be Wen sect. So here’s the reasoning.
Luofu: They don’t really have a specialty. Their main goal is to take out abundance cult.
Yaoqing: Much like Luofu, don’t really have a specialty. Aggressive and good at martial arts.
Zhuming: Their main export specialty is porcelain. According to Fandom wiki, the people here love playing with fire.
Yuque: They export jade abaci, thus making me think they’ll be wealthy due to it and technologically advanced/smart.
Fanghu: Exports a lot of marine things. Though it would make since to have Dan Heng come from here, but it would not make sense for other characters like March and Jing Yuan to have been born here. And it’s the closest in description to Yunmeng.
Xuling: Not much is really stated about this place on Fandom Wiki, but it looks like a place of law. But piggybacking off of the fact that not much is written about this area, Imma just gonna liken this area to Burial Mounds.
Idk why I stressed so much trying to make it 100% accurate 💀
My main source for these infos are from MDZS and Star Rail fandom wiki, so if inaccuracies occur, I apologize in advance for it.

MXTX's women part 2
Let's do ✨discourse™✨part 2
This is a follow up to this post where the only conclusions I came to were vibes based... mainly because my opinions here are generally vibes based (except svsss - I am pretty firm on my view of svsss, but that's a separate post). I think there are strong arguments either way, and tbh I have nothing against vibes based conclusions, but for fun, I'm going to take a position and argue for it.
disclaimer: 1) this post is not my opinion. 2) nonetheless, this post is entirely unironic. I think these are compelling arguments.
Position 1: MDZS and TGCF are sexist.
To recap, I posed (dramatically, in bold face) that the most important question to ask are: What is the intent? How is that intent received? This can be summed up as: What is the message you take away?
Obviously, you can fight me here, but I'll expand. Firstly, the question doesn't fundamentally come down to what the work contains, even though this is important. Every statement on the lines of 'x is sexist because it contains y' has a counterexample. Is the Handmaid's Tale sexist because it contains men in power and women treated as objects? Well op, this is a dumb example, you might say, and you would be right. The message of the Handmaid's Tale is clearly different from, say, MDZS and everything it contains is a support of that message - that a woman's reproductive freedom is her right. And I would go, ah ha, yes. Intent. (You can still disagree with me lol. This came out of a conversation literally a week ago.)
But also note, the author's actual intent is secondary. It's a useful framing to understand what the message is, but due to e.g. unconscious bias, or internalised sexism, the message gained by the reader/audience can be entirely independent of the intent of the author. For example, (one of my all time favourite c-dramas) the Secret of the Three Kingdoms I think is trying to be empowering for women, has lots of cool female characters, but the ultimate message can be summarised as 'men plough, women weave'... which is :/
Another subtlety to point out is that trends and popular tropes/archetypes tell a very different story when looked at overall. 'Woman in the refrigerator' and 'bury your gays' isn't a problem about individual works (although it often is mixed into other problems), but it's prevalence and dominance spreads harmful messages. A work which is great on it's own can actually be contributing to a wider problem, thus making it a problem.
MDZS: Women as accessory
It's not that difficult to argue that MDZS has an exceptional cast of women. I have no intention of arguing that MDZS's women aren't well developed, because enough people have come up with compelling counterarguments and they aren't hard to find. I think MDZS's portrayal of sexism is both exceptionally nuanced and not something you see much of. I love the way MDZS uses and breaks down tropes. I would argue (have argued) that the way MXTX puts sexism into her works is (at least partly) very much deliberate, and not with the intent of being sexist.
But remember, death of the author: author's original intentions don't matter in the face of what can be read from the text.
Notable in MDZS is 1) the lack of female characters who aren't defined by their relation to a major male character 2) women in the refrigerator.
1) Jiang Yanli is Wei Wuxian's older sister. Yu Ziyuan is Wei Wuxian's adopted mother. Wang Lingjiao is Wen Chao's girlfriend. Madam Jin, Meng Shi, Qin Su. Now, there are notable exceptions. Wen Qing is Wen Ning's sister, but her character is substantial even without that. Luo Qingyang (mianmian). Sisi (arguably). But there are overwhelmingly more male characters, and perhaps more importantly, hardly any male characters defined by their relation to a female character. There are a few. Madam Mo and her husband. Jin Zixuan as Jiang Yanli's husband (arguably). This isn't an exhaustive list but you get the idea.
2) Well, firstly, most of them die. Yu Ziyuan ends up in an unhappy marriage and dies as her sect burns down. Jiang Yanli loses a husband and then sacrifices herself for her brother. Wang Lingjiao gets offed by Wei Wuxian. Qin Su is killed by her husband. Mo Xuanyu's mother and Madam Jin just die of 'heartbreak' for what? Plot convenience? More egregiously, all of these deaths are there to either a) plot reasons or b) to add to the development of a male character. This is precisely the 'women in the refrigerator' trope, but multiplied a million times.
The only female character who got her happy ending was Mianmian... who lives a simple life with her family in the middle of nowhere. And it's great that in being brave and pursuing the right thing, she found happiness for herself, but this being the only example is um...
Well, the message feels suspiciously like women exist only for men. Men are the protagonists of their stories. Women are accessories. Sounds pretty sus. Maybe this is all due to the sexism of the world, but the message is then that the only way for women to succeed is to leave the system altogether, which is a nuanced thing but not true and somewhat unhelpful as a message.
Now, arguably, MXTX is leaning into tropes in order to be critical of them. Her female characters are full of tropes, and subversions of tropes - they could act as a critique of female characters in BL (in the way the female characters in SVSSS are critique of female characters in harem). There are a few pointers to this - Mianmian standing up to sexism, or the depth and nuance of Yu Ziyuan finding power+influence through her marriage of Jiang Fengmian. But the point stands is that isn't the message most people take away, because of the way MDZS is framed. MDZS just works as a xianxia action/romance. It isn't a parody (or at least, you don't need to read it as one to follow it). It isn't explicitly critical of how the women end up, nor is the narrative centered around the experiences of women. It is very easy to take away the surface level messages, which I think many people end up doing.
Whatever MXTX intended to say with her female characters, arguably MDZS already adds to an existing problem in how media portrays women. Media plays a huge role in how we see ourselves and other people, and unideal representation of women can lead to unconscious biases and stereotypes which are harmful. This being the case, one could argue that any media that fails to either fix the issue or address the issue sufficiently is problematic. On this vein, MDZS falls short.
TGCF: women as secondary
While TGCF improves on the front of women in power doing well, and more explicitly calling out the sexism of the world, it fails at a different front: the lack of women within the core plot.
The structure of TGCF is very different to MDZS, in that it contains a lot of what I would call 'side quests'. This is not a bad thing (this is sort of the whole point of things like (old) Star Trek or Doctor Who). But the core story of TGCF is (arguably) 1) Xie Lian's two ascensions and in between 2) Meeting Hua Cheng at various points 3) Tonglu mountain. And within this core story, there isn't a single female character necessary for the plot.
Ling Wen, Xuan Ji, Banyue, Shi Qingxuan, Yushi Huang... are all exceptional female (and non-binary) characters in their own right, but the story doesn't require them. They could be swapped out quite easily with other characters, unlike e.g. main pair, Feng Xin, Mu Qing, Jun Wu... (Note this isn't about how often they appear, or how developed they are. Lang Ying (the old one) doesn't appear a lot, but is essential to the plot.) (Yushi Huang and Ling Wen are kind of required, but equally for like... quest and item giving purposes which is not really the same.)
It's almost like there is no female person in Xie Lian's life who is essential to his personhood. And the message might inadvertently be that women are part of side quests - they aren't necessary.
This is, in part, a Xie Lian problem. The narration is tied closely to Xie Lian's pov (but isn't third person limited, interestingly), and we get delights like this:
Aside from the fact that Xuan Ji went mad whenever she ran into Pei Ming, she was otherwise much more detail-oriented and cautious than Qi Rong - she was a woman, after all.
(btw, be exceptionally suspicious of statements like 'women are more detail-oriented and cautious'. They are often wrong, or with heavy caveats.)
This is not on it's own a bad thing - e.g. compare with Shen Qingqiu's narration in SVSSS. But it is arguably a bad thing if you pair it with the fact that Xie Lian is 1) presented as much more likable than Shen Qingqiu 2) is not as obviously bias. He comes across as a trustable character, and so we are less likely to question his biases... so we run into the same problem as in MDZS: we aren't led to question the surface level messages, so the message we take away is an unhelpful one.
I feel like the way around this is (somewhat paradoxically) to reintroduce female characters whose lives (from narrator pov) revolve around the protagonist. (e.g. get in an Jiang Yanli) (The 800 year time skip means they either need to 1) become gods, 2) become ghosts 3) die, all of which have their own potential problems but that's for the author to figure out :p) Making Xie Lian less sexist would be slightly unrealistic but not at all out of character. Having Xie Lian's biases explicitly called out and this be a big thing is another way to go. Or both.
To conclude
Both points fall down to something along these lines: although both MDZS and TGCF make attempts at commentary on the struggles of women, because this narrative is not at the forefront of the story they inadvertently give across only half the message, which is worse than no message at all. 'There are tropes within the genre which treat women badly and this is bad' becomes 'women are like what these tropes say they are like'. 'Women aren't given opportunities so end up worse off' becomes 'women end up worse off'.
Maybe something in between MDZS to TGCF would be an improvement, but also, if the focus on male characters meant these narratives were difficult to execute within a reasonable word count, it might have been better to just skip sexism altogether. (sci fi is usually where this is attempted seriously, but fantasy definitely has scope for imagining better societies.) (This is all much easier said than done btw. Part of a fan's job is to stand on the sidelines and complain, right? 😂)

I need you
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Omg omg omg hi!❤️ The Untamed is my life and now I can find someone who makes such perfect stories on this topic? Am I in a dream??? I hope not, I have a request for Wen Ning (already like "puppet, my darling)😁: The reader (female) is his longtime friend who never let him down and protected him even more after his death (and subsequent resurrection). It was fine at first, but then something goes wrong and Wen Ning tells her that she doesn't need to protect him so much, that he can handle it himself and he didn't realize how terrible that sounded. The reader cries and runs away. At a loss, Wen Ning seeks advice from Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan. They reveal to him that the reader actually likes him... more than a friend and that she did it all out of love. Wen Ning then goes looking for her and also confesses his feelings for her. Sorry if it's too long, my imagination is pretty wild...and please something cute ❤️ I love you!
Pairing: Wen Ning x fem!reader Word Count: 1.0k words Warnings: none
Tumblr media
It felt like only yesterday that you saw the healthy version of Wen Ning, one that always smiled brightly and hopped around as he practiced his bow skills. Yet now, he wasn't like that anymore. He was paler and his eyes didn't hold the same life as they had before. He was dead or at least technically, but he still walked around like he was fine. Years of friendship made sure that even now, you could see him as he was. Not the ghost general, but rather Wen Ning. Just Wen Ning, the cute man that acted a bit too much like a lost puppy.
The chains that were locked around his form looked heavy, yet he wore them with ease and even used them to fight. You shouldn't care so much for the deceased man, yet here you were. Protecting him against other cultivators while he just awkwardly stood there, staring at the people.
"Move." "Oh, move yourself. You're not wanted here and you will lose." You sneered at the elder before you, raising your swords in front of you before grabbing your second sword from Wen Ning's hand. Luckily for you, they moved away once Jiang Cheng entered the scene. Although the glare to Wen Ning was obvious, the man in question seemed to not notice or chose to ignore it. Nonetheless, the nobles just cursed before all entering Lotus Pier. You followed, but stopped once you realized that Wen Ning wasn't able to join you.
"Let's hang out here together." "You don't need to." His voice wasn't loud, barely above a whisper as he sat down on the docks. Nonetheless, you chose to join him anyway. Sitting beside him, you leaned against the wall behind you as you stared at the lake.
"Why did you protect me?" He asked and you turned your head before laying your head on his shoulder. It wasn't like before, his body didn't give off the warmth that it used to and instead it was freezing cold.
"You're my friend, of course I'll protect you." You sighed softly, smiling as you saw some birds land in the water beside the lotus flowers. You flinched when Wen Ning stood back up without a warning, causing you to almost fall down on the ground. With a confused look, you stood up as well.
"I'm fine on my own. I don't need you." He spoke and your eyes widened, staring at the man before you as your heart shattered. Now, you know that he probably didn't mean for it to sound like that, and yet it hurt. Like someone cut out your heart and stomped it into the ground. You couldn't help it as tears rolled down your face, blurring your vision as you stepped back from him.
"Fine, then I'll leave." You spoke, your voice cracking before you ran off into Lotus Pier. You didn't care much for the man that remained at the entrance nor the saddened look on his face. Instead you focused on keeping your tears in until your reached your bedroom.
Tumblr media
"Please tell me you didn't say it like that~?" Wuxian whined loudly, staring at the ghost general before him before looking at Lan Wangji for any kind of help. Said man only looked up from his book for a few seconds before rolling his eyes before continuing to read. With a low grumble, Wuxian turned back to focus the problem at hand.
"Look, girls are complicated. We all know that... Especially if they like you, because (y/n) definitely likes you. But you really phrased your thoughts in the wrong way, like a lot." Wuxian spoke and Wen Ning sighed, looking down at the chains that were wrapped around his wrists while trying to process the fact that Wuxian just told him that you liked him. He fiddled with the strings on his sleeves before looking up again, asking what he could possibly do. Wuxian smiled before starting his rant, explaining every single type of apology that he knew and this certainly wasn't a short list. Nonetheless, Wen Ning listened intensely.
"Got it, good! Now go apologize to her and confess!" Wuxian exclaimed loudly, smiling as he watched Wen Ning awkwardly left the room through the window. He snuck around while trying to find your room on his own. Soon enough he did and like always, he climbed through the window to avoid suspicion. You were in your room, but also quick to notice him with a soft yelp. You stared at him for a few second before pointing at the window.
"Out." For once he didn't listen to you, instead he remained at the window with a sullen look on his face. You sighed, knowing well enough that he wouldn't budge now and instead you just sat down.
"Why are you here? I thought you didn't need me." Your voice was laced with venom that Wen Ning could easily spot, if he was still alive his heart would ache painfully. Nonetheless, he started to apologize as he tried to copy what Wuxian had been telling him to say. It sounded a bit forced at first, but you could see that he meant what he was saying. Then came the shock as a confession rolled from his tongue like it was the most obvious thing ever.
"Sorry, what?" You stopped him and he looked at you with wide eyes, realizing that you found his confession a bit weird. Scrambling to find the right words to make the confession sound better, he missed the small smile that appeared on your face. It wasn't until you stood in front of him and took his face in your hands that he stopped, staring at you with wide eyes.
"I like you too Wen Ning." You said and in an instant, a smile appeared on his face as well and you were sure that he'd blush if alive. Once everything was progressed, he softly embraced you while trying to not hurt you with the chains that hung on his body. They may not weigh much to him, but he assumed that they'd be on the heavier side for you. You wrapped your arms tightly around the man's shoulders once you realized that he was trying to hug you, smiling while doing so.
"Never say you don't need me anymore." You spoke, your voice sounding a bit sad and Wen Ning was quick to shake his head.
"I will always need you."

Reposting my fanfics in english because in my original linguage the people don't care about them
I write a lot of creative (at least in my perspective) fanfics and show them in fanfics sites like Wattpad and Spirit Fanfiction. I write them in Portuguese, my original linguage and... the people don't give a fuck. And I sad because I take so much time to write those fanfics and liked them so much, and almost anyone see or liked them. (The one people that read ALL of my fanfics is my friend, ILY CAMYY)
So, now, almost one year after I stoped writing, I have a decision to repost my fanfics with my horrible english (most of them with Google Translator help because my english is not one of the best) and looking for readers.
So, enjoy the fanfic :)
Son of Hades, little emo is!
Mo dao zu shi X Percy Jackson. Wen Ning as Nico di Angelo. There is a bit short, srry!
SPOILER OF THE BOOKS 3 AND 4 OF PERCY JACKSON!
Wen Ning stared at his reflection in the water of the camp lake. The hair that was originally tied up in a perfect and neat ponytail was now loose and covering much of his face, his skin had never been so tanned but was now so pale that anyone would think he was a corpse.
Wen Qing, his sister, went on a mission with Wuxian, a son of Hermes, Wanyin, a son of Ares, Xue Yang, a satyr, Wanjin, a son of Athena, and her sister's new friend, Mian Mian, a hunter of Artemis. It had been exactly a week since they had been away, and it made the poor boy restless.
He couldn't adjust to the Hermes cabin, people were always stealing his blankets and pillows and he didn't have the courage to ask someone to steal them back. The girls at Aphrodite's cabin also kept talking about his appearance, no matter how much Yanli asked them to stop. The Ares cabin didn't leave him alone either, normally Wanyin was there to tell everyone to shut up and be quiet, but since Wanyin wasn't there, they could mess with anyone without getting scolded. And not to mention the Apollo cabin, who looked at him as if they were looking for the slightest mistake to say something bad about.
And the result was: He didn't fit in this place. He missed his sister and just wanted to go away with her, to get away from all these people who talk bad about him. He made Wei Wuxian promise to bring his sister back safely.
"Wen Ning, we're back." A voice suddenly sounded behind the boy, who jumped back and came face to face with the son of Hermes who always wore a red ribbon to tie his hair.
"Where is my sister? Is she okay?"
"Well… she asked me to give you this." The boy gave a necklace with a skull symbol engraved in the center, around it it had small flames "She… asked me to give it to you before…"
The enormous silence deepened, Wuxian just looked away and begged Wen Ning to understand what he meant since he himself didn't have the courage to say it. Even though he knew that he was the cause of Wen Qing's death, it was his job to talk about what happened to his friend's sister.
"Wuxian, where is my sister?" Wen Ning's voice sounded broken, as if he was about to cry, Wuxian didn't have the courage to respond, the boy just hugged the younger's shoulders as a way of comforting him.
"I'm sorry, I tried to stop her but–"
"You promised! You promised you would protect her!"
"I tried but–!"
"No! You lied! You didn't protect her!" Wen Ning desperately tried to get out of the elder's embrace, but the more he tried to get out, the tighter the hug became. Fat tears repeatedly came out of the youngest's eyes "Let go of me! I want my sister…
Not far from the boys was Xue Yang nervously chewing on a piece of wooden furniture and Wanyin and Yanli giving the boys sad looks. Wanyin found out about what his cabin did to Wen Ning while he was away, and made sure to get into a fight with his brothers from the Ares cabin.
None of the three noticed that Wen Ning managed to escape Wuxian's embrace and ran towards the forest. They only realized when they heard Wuxian's screams.
"No! Wen Ning go back, it's dangerous!" A hand stopped the boy from running after his friend, that hand was Fegmian's. The camp's centaur instructor, who is also responsible for the campers' safety.
"Leave him. The only thing we can do is hope that Kronos doesn't find him and that he gets eaten by a monster."
"Come on A'Xian, you, A'Cheng and A'Yang need to take a shower urgently." Yanli pushed the three boys towards the bathroom, in the girl's arms they had different soaps and perfumes (Don't ask how she got all those types of soaps).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wen Ning looked around for something to heat the makeshift fire he had created, next to him was a red spirit staring at him amusedly.
"Master, are you cold?"
"Unlike you, I have a body, Wen Chao." Wen Ning's voice was no longer as gentle as before, the boy was colder than before
"HA HA HA! I loved your sense of humor today master!" The spirit let out loud laughter that made the silence of the forest disappear completely.
"Are you sure you're going to make it so I can see my sister again? Or are you just trying to trick me?"
"Of course I'll make you see your sister! You just need to kill someone, you know, one soul for another." The laughter disappeared, making room for the ghost striking a pose.
"Okay... and who do I have to kill?" The boy still didn't seem completely convinced.
"Oh! None other than the person who killed your sister! Wuxian, half-blood son of Hermes!"
Wen Ning closed her eyes, wondering if this was really what her sister would want. No! She would definitely do it for him too! After all, they are brothers right? Brothers do this for each other, right?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later the boy discovered that Wen Chao only wanted to kill him to get his body and apologized to Wuxian for trying to kill him. It wasn't easy, as he still felt sad about his sister's death.
Wen Ning was surprised when people learned about his divine father, until they explained that Hades' children were completely killed during World War II. Hades' cabin was made of dark wood, with everything inside it being the same color, bunk beds, drawers, wardrobes, everything was black. It was common for the boy to bump or trip over objects from time to time.
"I envy you, A'Ning! You have a cabin all to yourself and you don't have to worry about people stealing from you. This is true paradise." Wuxian sighed, eating his food which consisted of an apple, fish and rice grains.
"Well, it's boring and boring to be alone in a big cabin." The shy boy played with the rice grains on his plate. For some reason, he didn't feel like eating "Especially when the cabin is all black..."
"You get used to it, I didn't like the gold paint on my cabin either. And honestly, compared to the rest of the cabins, yours is the most comfortable." Wuxian spoke with a mouth full of food, but for some reason Wen Ning managed to understand.
"And why do you think that?"
"The Ares cabin is full of people who have no patience and fall into blows after five minutes of conversation. The Apollo cabin most of the time stays up late practicing singing in the middle of the night. Everyone in the Hephaestus cabin lives working in forges and they don't even care if they're interrupting someone's sleep. In Aphrodite's cabin, the air is contaminated with expensive perfume and the girls there would say horrible things about the way you act. The cabin of–"
"Okay! Okay! I understand! There's no need to say more."
"Seriously, I was still going to talk about Athena's cabin. Man, those are the worst."
As if with a sixth sense, Wanjin from the Athena cabin quickly turned his gaze towards Wuxian and Wen Ning. The younger one lowered his head in shame for being caught talking bad about someone while the taller one smiled at Wanjin, who felt his ears burn involuntarily when he saw Wuxian's bright smile.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wen Ning had left the camp again to investigate Kronos and the recent war that was about to break out. When he returned, Wuxian didn't hesitate to run to see his friend. He just didn't expect his friend to return with a giant black dog with him.
"This is Chenqing! She's sweet, isn't she?" The giant dog frantically wagged its tail on the ground as Wen Ning stroked its nose.
"A-Ahem, a g-great sweet.."
"My father gave her to me when I visited the underworld, she was still a puppy and now she's a big girl!"
"Hey, do you know where the... OH MY FUCKIN ZEUS WHAT A CUTIE THING!" Wanyin shouted, drawing the attention of the two half-bloods that were there and the big dog, who almost instantly jumped at her new friend. "Who's the cute little dog? Yes, it's you!"
"A'Cheng! Thank you for saving me!" Wuxian cried out in relief
"She liked you Wanyin."
"What's this cutie's name?" The son of Ares who is normally always aggressive was now looking like a little child playing with the big hellhound "Yes I'm talking about you!"
"Chenqing." "Demon." Both Wen Ning and Wuxian spoke at the same time The two teenagers ignored what Wuxian said about the lovely Chenqing.

wen Ning x Samurai reader hc
~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~
Samurai reader:
•So your a rogue cultivist from some perspectives, but really your just the only one in your Samurai group who uses Cultivists techniques. Your the dark Samurai cause you hunt demons and other things while light Samurai or traditinal Samurai are typically more human based fighting wise.
•but hey, to you, a fight is a fight. Your end goal is to get as strong as possible, defeat any and all foes. And you'll prove that by killing anything that gets in your way, any foe. Be that human, demon, or otherwise.
•your noticeable, your loud, energetic, proud, and aggressive. Picking fights is sort of in your nature, but they aren't without noble cause. And if you can't handle these life or death situations on your own, your Samurai friends will help you.
•so it's easy to say that your fairly well known. Your reputation for challenging anyone you deem or have heard are strong to spar against you. People know you as dangerous and confident. (Rightfully so) that and your uniquely Samurai styled arm, leg, chest, and hip armor.
•the Shadow Samurai, known for fighting all opponents, seaking out trouble, and then defeating it.
•you had first met Wen Ning when you happened to be in the area, and sought out the fighting you saw. While usually you don't really care for people that you don't find specifically powerful, but the Cultivist caught your eye. He wasn't specially powerful or anything. But you liked him for some reason.
•so with litterally no care in the world, you approached him.
•the fight had just dyed down. You hadn't bothered to step in cause it really wasn't anything special, just the slaying of some of the reanimated corpses. You really didn't care to know what they were actually called. They were litterally "reanimated corpses" why not just call them that.
•you had come across a few of these cultivists clans before, but not this one. Socializing with them really wasn't on your to do list, but you wouldn't go out of your way to avoid these interactions either. The only one you had really gotten to know well in the past though, was your master who taught you the bits and pieces you did know about all this stuff.
•you master himself was a rogue. He taught you about talismans, diffrent types of tools and techniques, but without your Samurai training it wouldn't have made much of a difference.
•some of the people with Wen Ning on the night hunt heard about you, the painting style of your armor was fairly unique, especially to outsiders eyes.
•a couple tried to talk to you, but you ignored them, your more interested in Wen Ning, not that you knew why.
•he was the obvious opposite of you. Not so loud and out going, but more gentle, quiet. Maybe that's why you were so interested in him?
•to say he was intimidated by you was a bit of an understatement, but he wasn't realitivley scared of you. You showed no sign of hurting him, so it wasn't in the front of his mind.
•you introduced yourself to him. And quickly went on to ask him questions about himself. 'What was his name?' 'What were his aspirations?' Stuff like that.
•and after a few more visits, you could even say you were friends perhaps.
•and maybe you saved him or helped him a few times.
•like I mentioned, he's pretty much the exact opposite of you.
•you get along with his sister quite well.
•but when you two started dating, wow. To say people were shocked. 😲
•you teach him a few things, and in return he teaches you some things.
•you learn to tone yourself down some, mellow out a little but. Only when your around him though.
•all and all you two are cute, strange, but cute.
•you had to go for a bit, the summons for assistance from one of your disciples. You simply couldn't ignore it! If you did it would be against your honor.
•you tell him that, and he understands. You had already been staying in one spot for so long, or in the relative area at least. Leaving at most for a few days at a time before going back to see him.
•you were kept away for longer than you intended, and once you got back you learned a lot happened.
•most shockingly and important to you, your boyfriend, was now both gone and undead.
•what were you ment to do now? He was gone and you didn't know where exactly he was.
•so you end up going back to your usual routine before you met him. But still constantly looking out for any signs of him.
•then you come across the wonderful Wei Wuxian on your travels.
•now this man is strong, you've seen it in watching him fight. So you challenge him to a Spar. And in your usual fashion, you talk to your opponent while you spar.
•it was a dual of swordsmen ship, and you won. In a fight of a few other categories, you probably would have lost. But in the same right, you could beat him in a few diffrent dualing categories too.
•that's when you see him. Your boyfriend.
•well at first you had to get a good look at him. He looked a fair bit diffrent know after all. He was undead now, greyed skin, no longer had his hair up or sporting the same bright colors as before.
•before he saw you, you practically ran at him, hugging him tight.
• A real romantic, romance movie scene, Wei watching on in confusion of your actions.
•Wen Ning was surprised to see you to say the least. But now he was a corpse, while mentally it was still him, he couldn't help but feel a tad insecure about his new apearence when it came to you.
•he still hugged you back none the less. (You would have kept hugging him till he did so anyways.)
•now came the questions. You demanded an explanation from the poor man, and you were not stopping till you did. The least he could have done is left a note for you or something to indicate where he was, what was happening, or at the very least reassurimg you he was "alive" and everything was fine.
•As intimidating as you are, you would have still liked to know that he was safe or at the very least not six feet under.
•You forced him to write you letters whenever he had the chance, and call you for help when he needed it.
Relationship:
•it's so funny, the Ghost general and shadow Samurai. You would thing their two badasses together. No. You are his big strong protector (even if he can easily hold his own), and he's your affectionate boyfriend.
•it takes a while to put your armor on by yourself sometimes, so you ask him for help some days when it's taking to long. And you teach him how it goes on, and he'll help you. Not without some embaressment on his part.
•you love to tell him about your adventures, he'll listen. But don't tell him the parts where you got seriously hurt or may or may not have almost died. You'll worry him if you do.
•it's nice that his sister and sometimes he can help you with any medical related needs, every great warrior needs medical attention and someone to make sure their eating properly and resting enough.
•when he was human, you wouldn't ever take the sweetheart on your "expeditions", you don't want him hurt. But now that he's a corpse, your less opposed to the idea.
•you have nightmares sometimes. In your travels, you've witnessed the death of lots of things, people included. Some of those people were your comrades, your friends. Your larger regrets are that you couldn't protect them. What's the point of being strong if you couldn't protect others? That's what pushed you to keep on your power gaining path. So once in a while he'll be the one reassuring you instead of vice versa. You want to protect him and make sure he's safe. He would be the worst on for you to lose.
•your his knight in shining armor. Or at the least you want to be. He gets a scratch on him in battle? No matter how small the injury, use it as an excuse to bridal style carry him. He'll get all flustered and cute.
Fem Samurai reader:
•instead of the usual 'boyfriend protects girlfriend from creeps', you protect him from bullies. There will be no negative comments about him on your watch. And he appreciates it.
•if your a woman, he gets even more embaressed if you carry him bridal style. Your strong for a woman, and in front of others that's a touch more embaressing than it already was.
Male Samurai reader:
•he will sometimes try to be the more dominant one in the relationship. Let him, he wants to prove himself. More to himself than anyone. He wants to be worthy of being your partner. So reassure him that he's perfect.
