a silly shoujo concept with jade where he picks up your notebook after you've left it in class. resourceful eel that he is, he flips through the pages out of curiosity. he's certain he'll just find your notes or doodles you've made out of boredom, but it never hurts to pry just a little. he won't tell a soul if he finds anything embarrassing. certainly not!

to his surprise, he finds a bucket list of sorts, which details all of the things you hope to accomplish by the end of your time at nrc. you're quite methodical about this list. there are academic goals. personal goals. social goals. you've checked some of them off: do well on this year's midterm. commit to an exercise routine. make more friends. etc. etc.

but then he happens upon the romantic goals. things like holding hands, kissing, cuddling, going on dates, sharing meals... he reads through every item on this specific list and finds himself blushing like a lovestruck maiden. it's not because of the nature of this list but, rather, the notes you've made in the margin: possible people to try this with: jade leech?

and his name is the only one you've written! :O is this...an indirect love confession? do you have feelings for him? is now a good time to hopefully try to kindle a deeper bond with you after he's spent so much time pining from the sidelines??????

tl;dr - jade wants to be the one to complete the goals on your romance list, but you're too prideful (and suspicious of him) to admit you'd ever think of him in such a light! that's too embarrassing! too much opportunity to be exploited. and jade's a bit of a shameless coward.

so he decides there's only one solution: he's going to try to court you. the mer way. the human way would be much too obvious, after all. ^^;;;;

There was a scenario I had imagined in which Mario would suffer emotional trauma and keep it to himself to the point of becoming depressed, growing more distant and avoiding others as a result. He would so desperately want for his loved ones to be at peace that he would rather endure unbearable misery in silence than speak on it; not knowing just how tired he really is and how badly he needs to be comforted.

So when Peach would finally -and ever so gently- confront him on the matter, his walls would crumble almost immediately, and he would break down in front of her. Anguish and exhaustion slowly giving way to healing. ❤️‍🩹

im trying to articulate how heart-wrenching it is that jesse gets punished for being vulnerable and open all the way through the series but i think it’s best encapsulated by the fact that hank forces jesse to film a confession tape where jesse has to relive the trauma of shooting gale and todd killing drew sharp, crying and in clear mental anguish the entire time, and that experience accomplishes literally nothing in the end. the tape doesn’t protect him or get anyone responsible convicted or punished. hank still doesn’t see him as anything more than a resource, a disposable junkie, even as jesse’s sitting on his couch sobbing. the neo-nazis find the tape and sit around literally mocking this footage after they enslave jesse, laughing at his display of emotion. he’s constantly exploited and punished for being open about his feelings. i guess that’s why its so effective and beautiful that jesse doesn’t ever let this stop him from continuing to show emotion. why it feels so cathartic when he sobs and screams as he speeds away from the compound: they didn’t take that part of him away from him. he was laughed at, tortured, used as a bargaining chip, but he still cries and shows his cards and is a messy, emotional human all the way to the very end. they could’ve ended el camino with the shot of him driving into alaska with that kind of peaceful, but not super emotive expression, but they didn’t. they ended with him looking over and imagining jane with him. one final show of his love and emotions and how it has caused him suffering and pain, but didn’t ever break him.

a lot of hermitcraft fan-designs and mcyt fan-designs and art in general have such a bias towards skinny bodies it’s crazy. like i guess most people just don’t think to learn or imagine their faves as any different from skinny but i really want people to learn because it’s yaknow not only important in a social justice perspective to learn how to draw differing body types but it makes for better lineups and more interesting designs!

c!grian is fat and you can fight me about it

its not just an mcyt issue if a character hasnt been given a specific body-type, skin tone, hell even hair type, the fandom defaults to skinny, white, hairless except for the always straight hair on their head and its frustrating!

BUT we are an mcyt blog so imma focus on us.

i do think that compared to other fandoms we do a good job with diversity of character design, however, we can do better. art is a powerful tool which informs how we see ourselves and all artist in this fandom can help normalize what has otherwise been labeled as "unattractive" by conventional standards. if you are an artist please explore different bodytypes, and hair texture, even different levels of body hair! because when you draw a character fat, with curly hair, with more body hair you get someone like me! i see those drawings and i appreciate and cherish that i can relate to the subject more and other people in the fandom do too.

and if you cannot draw thats okay, reblogging can be as equally as powerful as it helps spread art displaying diversity (: peace and love on planet minecraft and beyond ✌️
