Pairing: Avengers x Little!Reader

Summary: you make Sam fairy wings!

“Sammy! Sammy!” You squealed running into the main room to find him, seeing Steve and Bucky on the far side of the sofa, and Sam on the other side.

You caught all their attention, their heads turning to you.

“Yeeeessss?” He smiled raising an eyebrow, you giggled “I have surprise for you!” You squealed as you hid something behind you.

“Ooh…what is it?” He asked

“Turn around!”

“Okay..” he said hesitantly as he turned around

You held his arms and put something on his back.

He turned around confused.

“Bird-Fairy!” You squealed as your clapped your hands.

And Sam went bright red.

“Yeah bun! Sammys a fairy!” Steve smiled to you trying to stifle his laugh.

Along with Bucky, he was biting his lip trying to hide his own laugh too.

“Bird-Fairy!” You corrected Steve and he nodded.

You gasped when you forgot the other thing you made, you ran back and grabbed it.

Steve and Bucky let their laughs out. They were belly laughing, Bucky was crying.

“Shut up tinman!” Sam rolled his eyes “I’m her favourite, she didn’t make you anything” sam teased and Bucky laughed.

You rushed back in, “here” you smiled handing Sam a fair wand.

“Thank you kiddo…” Sam sighed but smiled when he saw your happy face.

“Hand please?” You asked Steve and smiled, giving you his hand.

You squealed happily when you put a crafted Captain Hook hand on his hand.

“Captain Hook!” You beamed making him laugh.

“Arghh!” He said as he tickled you making you laugh “stop!” You screamed through giggles until he surrendered on his attack.

“C’mere” he said in a whisper as he knelt down to you,

“You should go make buck somethin, he might feel left out otherwise?” He whispered and you nodded as you ran back into your room getting started on a new idea.

They were all laughing as they waited for you to come back.

“Baba!”” You giggled as you ran back in catching their attention again.

You stood on the sofa as you placed a hat on buckys head.

It was the same one as the tinman from wizard of oz

And it tipped Steve and Sam off the edge as they burst out laughing.

“You little cheek!” Bucky grinned as he tickled you mercilessly making you scream a laugh as you tried to stop his hand.

You were all laughing and it was definitely one of the funnest days ever.

chapter thirteen

Pairing: Aaron Pierre x Black Original Character

Warnings: Slow burn. 18+. Alcohol. mentions of Oral sex.

Summary: Spotted... Iriye and Aaron share a few moments out and about, leading to them being blindsided by some truths being revealed and others still in the dark.

Notes: So the following three chapters will be some of the funnest or heartbreaking ones. I'm excited to see where these two go. Also, if you haven't, I posted a poll for you guys toi answer because I have thoughts about the ending of this first part of the series. answer the poll here.

“Stop,” Iriye giggled as she felt Aaron kiss her cheek. “You’re distracting me during my turn.” She set up the pool stick in alignment with the cue ball. Her and Aaron had meant to head back to his place after work that day but they were both hungry. In the food search, they found a cute little dive bar and a few wings and wine. Later, Iriye talked Aaron into a few pool games.

“You can’t keep getting away with this,” Aaron joked as she nailed another of the balls into a pocket. 

“What can I say? I’m smooth,” Iriye stated. “At least my dad taught me one valuable thing,”

“You and him used to shoot pool?” Iriye nodded.

“He would pick me up after school and take me to this pizza place that had one. We would share a few slices, and he would show me how to play. If I could beat him, he would give me twenty dollars, and I was really good,” Iriye lined up another shot. “I could probably show you a few things,”

“Oh, I know you could,” Aaron grinned at her. She focused on her shot but seeing Aaron stretch, that dangerous sliver of skin peaking out of his waistband. She faltered a little and missed her shot.

“You are so rude,” Iriye chuckled before grabbing her wine glass for a sip. 

“Whatever do you mean, love?” Aaron said, lining up his shot and making it.

“Booo” Iriye chuckled. Aaron came over to her, his glasses on his face and his hat covering him up. He moved to her, pulling her close as he put the pool cue down.

“I don’t appreciate the booing,” Aaron leaned in closer, wrapping his arms around her.

“Well, I don’t appreciate the cheating,” Iriye pouted. Aaron kissed her softly.

“Just trying to keep up with you,” He stated, rocking them to the music playing in the bar. “So, you decided whether or not you’re gonna take the job with the TV show,”

Iriye was brought back to reality, groaning softly as she tucked her head against his chest.

“I’m still thinking about it. Technically, I have till the end of the week to get paperwork signed and such if I want it. Plus, I’m waiting on the Paradise Lost production schedule to be finalized,” Iriye stated.

“We should be getting it any day now,” Aaron pulled back to look at her.

“I know. I know. I gotta figure it out,” Iriye said. “Because technically in terms of my control, I can work on both things since the deal for the movie was in play before this show popped up,”

“But what about work-wise and emotionally… how do you feel?” Iriye looked into Aaron’s beautiful eyes, and a small smile appeared.

“Excited and nervous,” She explained. “This is a big moment for me. I’ve worked so hard for this.” 

“I know you have, and I’m excited for you. You deserve it, Iriye,” Aaron smiled. “Whatever you choose, we will make it work. I mean, say you split your time between here and my place in London during the film shoot,”

“Your place in London?” Iriye raised her brow at him. Aaron leaned back against the pool table.

“I was thinking-no. I was hoping you would want to stay with me in London. At my place,” Aaron mentioned as she let his hands slide to her ass, Iriye chuckling at the move.

“You want me to move in with you?” She asked. 

“Just for filming if you wanted to,” Aaron stated. “And depending on how that goes, we can discuss terms if you would like. You know, rules and such,”

“Aaron…” Iriye chuckled.

“Sorry. It’s too soon. I get if it is,” Iriye silenced him with a kiss. She pulled back and looked at him through her lashes. 

“I want to. Even if it’s just for filming, we can figure out afterward if we want to do something more permanent…” Iriye knew those words should have scared her, but it felt right.  And seeing the grin on Aaron’s face… it just made her more excited.

“I need to get you home so we can properly celebrate,” Aaron whispered against her cheek before kissing it. “.//I’m going to close out the tab,” he moved to kiss her hand before pushing her water closer to Iriye. She pouted, knowing she didn’t drink much, but he wanted her to be good enough to drive. 

Iriye watched him walk away, sipping the water so she could sober up. She was looking around, catching someone looking at her. They turned away, and Iriye shook it off, thinking nothing of it.

“Are you ready?” Aaron asked as he returned. After a moment, Iriye was re-racking the balls for the following players. 

“I am,” Iriye said, taking his hand in hers and heading out of the bar with him. He drove them back to her car at the lot, and then they returned to his place.

They made it to his place at the same time, Aaron guiding her inside his apartment, and Iriye falling into comfort in his space. She took her shoes off, dropping her bag on the counter. Before she could protest, Aaron picked her up.

“What are you doing?” Iriye giggled as Aaron carried her towards the bathroom.

“I need a shower, and so do you,” Aaron said, placing her on the counter. She giggled. She pulled her socks off, and Aaron came closer and helped her tie her hair up so it didn’t get wet. She pecked his lips as a thank you before helping him pull his shirt off.

“You are something,” Aaron stated as Iriye pressed her lips against his chest before nuzzling her head against him. 

“I can’t help it. You’re making me soft,” Iriye pecked his lips again and hummed. She let her hands trail over his arms, tracing the lines of his tattoos. She slipped off the counter, pressing against him before she passed by to head for the shower and turned it on.

When she turned back around, Aaron’s hands went to her top, unbuttoning it and slipping it off, leaving her in her bra.

“I like that you trust me enough to be that way around me,” Aaron admitted. Iriye hummed and kissed him once more before they stripped each other of their clothes. The room began to fog up, and Iriye pulled him into the shower with her.

Hands began to cleanse the other’s skin as Iriye and Aaron worked together to get cleaned off for the night.

Iriye moaned softly as Aaron chased the water that was rinsing down her neck with his lips. 

“You’re gonna leave a hickie,” Iriye giggled as she felt Aaron's mouth on her neck. His hands trailed up to her breast, cupping them, and she moaned, pressing back into him.

“It’ll be our little secret,” He teased her. Iriye let her hand drag down the side of his neck as Aaron sucked the skin into his mouth. She whimpered as he bit softly. Her lips looked for his and she turned to kiss him fully. 

His hands slid down her sides as she caged him against the shower wall. She kissed down his chest playfully, feeling his length jump against her skin. But she pulled away, giggling. 

“I’m not about to risk the hard work I achieved with my Dyson,” she joked, putting more soap on a washcloth and scrubbing her body. She saw how Aaron looked at her as she used the washcloth to run over her body as she got cleaned. “What?”

“Nothing… I just never thought I could get this lucky,” Aaron stated softly. Iriye paused, and a shy smile spread across her face. Iriye kissed him again.

After making out in the shower and the water started to run a little colder, Iriye and Aaron got into his bed. Iriye was tucked into his side as he ran his hand through her hair.

“You smell good,” Iriye whispered against Aaron’s chest, feeling her body relax. 

“You smell good, too. I think my body wash smells even better on you,” Aaron whispered. She giggled softly to herself, and she nuzzled closer to him. She felt her body drifting off as she knew she was safe with Aaron. “Iriye?”

“Hm,” Iriye hummed.

“Good night, love.” 

“Night. I love you,” Iriye breathed as she closed her eyes. 

Aaron shifted carefully, looking at Iriye. He was about to ask her if she meant her words, but she was too peaceful as she was asleep. He pushed some of her hair behind her ear and watched her till he fell asleep.

The next morning, Iriye woke up to the bed empty, and she ran her hand in search of Aaron. She got up and moved to the living room, where she saw him eating his oatmeal and hot water for breakfast.

“How did you sleep, love?” Aaron asked, her going behind him and pressing her body to his back as she hugged him.

“It was going great till you got up and left me to work out,” Iriye kissed his shirt through his back, not even minding the slight sweat. “You had a good workout?” 

“I did. I’m just glad I didn’t have to rush. I’m not filming till tonight, and tomorrow, I have that charity event the studio is making me go to,” Aaron explained, Iriye’s hands moving under his shirt and feeling his taut abs.

“You’re just booked and busy, Mister Pierre,” Iriye purred as she felt his warm skin. “Anyway, we can pencil in some time together,”

“I always have time for you, baby girl,” Aaron turned in her arms and kissed her. “Even when your breath is a little funky,”

“And on that note,” Iriye moved away, but Aaron pulled her back, kissing her deeply. “Morning,” She said as she pulled back.

Aaron lifted her to the counter. She saw her phone going off, and she moved to turn it over to silence it.

“So what are you doing till you have to go for your call time?” Iriye asked him, feeling his hands on the outside of her thighs. He pulled her closer.

“Hopefully kissing and cuddling you. Maybe even,” He wiggled his eyebrows at her. “Letting me taste you,”

“Mhm… one of those can be arranged,” Iriye stated. She felt her phone going off again and grabbed it just as Aaron kissed her. He began kissing down her neck and chest before making his way to her thighs. She pressed her power button to silence the call and hummed, letting herself fall into the kisses he always gave her. He was taking his time kissing between one leg and the other.

Just as Aaron was getting closer to the sweetness at the apex of her thighs, Iriye felt him stop. 

“Wait, what?” She tried to keep him, but Aaron stood up, checking his phone. “Just put it on silent.”

“I would but it’s Tamara. She’s calling me,” Aaron said. He handed her his phone and she answered it, trying to stop him from leaving his knees.

“Tam, now is a bad time,” She told her friend as she felt Aaron get up. Iriye landed a kiss on his chin. He stood between her legs, rubbing the outside of her thighs.

“Hey, you’re not getting any weird tags, right?” Tamara asked.

“Um, no. Should I be?” Iriye raised her eyebrow.

“Tell Aaron to check his Instagram,” Tamara stated. Iriye shrugged, putting his phone on speaker. 

“Check your Insta,” Iriye grabbed her own phone, and Aaron took his from hers. A few clicks and scrolls, Iriye watched as Aaron’s face grimaced. “What?”

“It’s you,” Aaron breathed. “Someone snapped a picture of us, together.” He handed the phone to her, and she looked through the gossip post Aaron was tagged in. She studied, seeing the details and trying to see what was said.

“I mean, I think the good thing is no one knows it’s you. It’s truly blurry. Someone’s old ass iPhone,” Tamara stated. Aaron rubbed his chin, and Iriye moved to her phone to find the post.

“Don’t look at the comments,” Aaron warned Iriye. She looked over the photo, going through all of them, and for the most part, she didn’t seem to be in direct view of the camera. She saw there was a video and she clicked on it. It was more focused on Aaron, having gotten her backside as they kissed.

“I mean… it could be worse. At least we weren’t too tipsy,” Iriye breathed. 

“Iriye,” Tam breathed. 

“We’ll call you back later, Tamara. Thank you,” Tamara said, and Aaron hung up. His attention turned fully back to Iriye. “You okay?”

“Do you think I should lock my account. You know. To take precautions,” Iriye asked, biting her lip nervously.

“I think it’s what you want to do. I’ll support whatever you want, but the most crucial part is that no one has connected that it’s you.” His hands went to her arms, giving them a comforting rub. 

“That’s important,” Iriye said. Aaron leaned forward and kissed her head, her eyes shutting. 

“I promise. Everything will be alright. I think our best defense is just to let people speculate,” Aaron stated. 

“Thank god I’m a nobody,” Iriye teased, and Aaron frowned, her chuckling. “I’m kidding. Fix ya face,” She cupped his chin and kissed him a few times. Aaron fell into the kiss, wrapping his arms around her. 

They pulled away, heads resting against one another. 

“You’re just… you’re special to me, Iriye,” Aaron whispered.

“You are to me, too,” Iriye said, kissing him again.

“Iriye?” She looked up at Aaron, his blue eyes peering deeply into her brown ones.

“Yes, baby,” Iriye noticed Aaron was fidgeting, his jaw clenching. “You’re not mad about this, right? I mean, I know it was my idea to grab a drink and all,”

“I’m not mad at all. I just don’t want this to be something that comes between us,” Aaron voiced.

“And it won’t,” Iriye slipped her hands to his cheeks. “It’s still us. Aaron and Iriye. Maybe the world knows about us. Maybe they don’t. But it’s none of their business. Just ours,” She said, tucking her head against his.

“Okay,” Aaron kissed her cheek and then her lips. She wrapped him up in a hug, rubbing his back.

“We should order food and stay in until you have to work. It’s a night shoot, so you’ll be tired,” Iriye stated. She slipped off the counter and pulled him back to bed.

Aaron rested one hand behind his head as he listened to an audiobook while Iriye sat up, choosing to get some work done on her laptop. It was pure comfort for them to be in each other’s presence.

Iriye checked her phone when she heard it ringing, not wanting to disturb Aaron as he relaxed. She got off the bed and saw it was her manager calling.

“Devery, what’s up?” Iriye answered.

“Are you crazy?” Devery said, his tone exasperated. You told me for years you wanted to go into television. Now it’s handed to you, which you deserve, and you turn down Samuel Arenas’ offer? “

Iriye bit her lip, eyeing Aaron, who looked so relaxed with his eyes closed and headphones in. She slipped out of the room to continue talking. 

“It was a good deal,” Iriye started.

“A great deal! With potential for growth to the producer role,” Devery stated. 

“It just didn’t feel like the right move as of right now. And the conflicts of shooting in the UK and then going back and forth to LA,” Iriye tried to make up an excuse.

“Samuel was willing to have you in virtually,” Devery sighed. “Was the money not enough because we can negotiate it for you. I know we can,”

“It was great, honestly. But my head is just somewhere else right now,” Iriye admitted. “I wanna see how things wind up with the film. I’m working on some new things, and I’m sure we can have me with my own show instead of working on someone else’s.” 

“I know we can. But um… I sent you an email from Samuel. There’s this fundraiser Warner Brothers is hosting on the lot. He’s invited the writing team to the show and has included you. I guess it’s an effort for you to change your mind or shut him down in person,” Devery stated.

“Can he do that?” Iriye asked.

“He got you on the list so he can,” Iriye rolled her eyes.

“He doesn’t give up,” 

“Neither do you,” Devery stated. “I’m going to follow your lead on this. But I haven’t sent the paperwork back declining the offer since you still have time to change your mind. I know you will make the best decision for yourself.”

“I promise, I am Devery. Thank you. I’ll go. Now, I gotta find a dress,” Iriye said.

“Happy hunting,” With that, Iriye hung up the phone and returned to the bedroom. She stood at the doorway for a moment, taking in Aaron. He seemed to be everything she didn’t know she needed.

Iriye crawled over him on the bed, his hands already settling for her hips as he peeked an eye open at her. His hands reached for her shirt, and she stopped him. 

“You okay?” He asked her as he looked into her eyes.

“I’m good,” She said. She leaned down to rest her head on his chest. “I just wanna lie here a bit before I have to head home,”

“Head home?” Aaron asked, taking his headphones out.

“I’m going to a charity event tomorrow… the same one you’ll be at,” Iriye stated. “I gotta find a dress and put myself together,”

“Oh. I guess I have a better reason now to go,” Aaron kissed her head, and her nerves died down a little. UPDATE EVALUATION!!!

Hello! I thought I would try to do an evaluation of the recent update.

To start Martyn is finally introduced into the AU. We don’t get any information on why he was gone from their lives to start, they just seem like old friends who haven’t seen each other in awhile, but currently, we don’t know why just yet. I have the feeling it was something bad judging by Martyn nervousness around them We know they went to college together but we have no idea that happened afterwards. I am under the impression that Grian was introduced into the Nexus through them, (them or his mother) but of course that has never been confirmed. 

The characters don’t know what happened but we know that Grian was possessed by Ceecee using their fungus powers. We don’t know the reason behind this and why it involves the Mimic, but if you want a couple theories I have talked about them before in a later post (don’t worry it should be easy to find, I hardly have any posts). 

We also learned that Grian has super fast healing, which I find pretty interesting considering that he has injuries that could have to fatel to anyone else (damn) But this ability doesn’t work for the wings which, for me, means that they aren’t injured just altered by Ceecee’s powers. They do look healthier than before though, they aren’t as skinny and frail.

But we are also introduced to the idea that Grian has other abilities, which we kind of already knew, but they do seem to either be super dangerous or have something to do with altering his identity. I know this because of the look that Mumbo gave Grian when Gem was asking about other abilities. Nervous but also fearful. 

Also the fact that Grian used for Mumbo but not Jimmy was…

…painful, like your heart is in your stomach painful, but I kind of see where his heart is. He wants to protect Jimmy, maybe from the influences he had when he found out. Also, I would like to point out that Jimmy said he was going to call “dad” not mom and dad, just dad, which fits into my parents theory I had with them. (PLEASE GO FIND THE POST I MADE ABOUT THE PARENTS I THINK IT DID REALLY WELL WITH THAT ONE 😭)

AND THEN, FINALLY, WE GET HOTGUY!! We know that he is coming in to ask questions which, Doody has made a little fanart about. (Lin below) the first one is all funnest while the second one will actually happen. (The reason I can’t put a link is because I literally can’t find it, I everything saved on my phone but I just couldn’t find the source)

I couldn’t help but notice how Grian recognized Hotguys voice, if he can do that why can’t he put it together that he is scar…or maybe… he knew it was scar but was surprised to see it was HotGuy…. ONLY TIME WILL TIME! That’s all I have for now! I really enjoyed this update and I think it is a great start for the new year! :) Also, Mumbo, have you greyed?

Ghoul Anatomy Ref Sheet One Is Done!!

I have no idea how many more of these will be made (I want to do height, hair, ect at some point) But here's sheet one :)

explanation for everything hc wise and such below the cut 🐟

Water:

Water ghouls only have one kind of horn and those being the deep blue fading into a grayish blue, but with some ghouls (first observed in Mist) they will have a slight rainbow affect when the light reflects right (imagine them like those holographic stickers) . Their tails can also have a similar affect. Some ghouls even have blue patches that are bioluminescent and can spread to skin aswell. The most common areas for this are joints and cheeks.

Fire:

There are two different variations for fire ghouls, either white or the red fade variation. This is the most common ghoul type to have two different colored horns. Their tails are sharp and ashen looking, it is very easy to accidentally slice skin with it, for this reason they have unreasonably thick skin that can also withstand their fire.

Quintessence:

The horns seen above are that of a ghoul-kit, and a full grown ghoul. The purple color that ranges from blue-purples to pink-purples darkens as the ghoul gets older, white star like shapes are acommon trait but not guaranteed. Their tails are the same as their horns.

Air:

Air ghouls are by far the lightest colored ghouls (from horns down to skin). The horns take on a greyish-blue to grayish-green color, some appearing nearly all white like the fire ghoul horn type. Tails are a cloud like feel and constantly change shape like the pupils of their eyes.

Earth:

Earth ghouls have either coffee brown or a greenish color. Earth ghouls horns also darken with age. Occasionally the kind of earth ghoul with brown horns will grow vine like plants that wrap around both their tails and horns. Tail ends mimic those long leaves on trees.

Multi:

Multi ghouls are the funnest to work with because of the different possibilities, they can take on any coloration or combination of the different ghouls colors, these ghouls also have the chance with different colored eyes and horns, its still not as common as fire ghouls though. Swiss has light orange fading to grey horns and Aurora has horns that are colors that blend together in a rainbow like fashion. Their tails work the same. The most common base color for eyes are white though.

Hell-Bound:

Yes, fallen angels and hell bound angels exist with my headcannon, they take on the appearance of a ghoul slowly. Wings decay and their skin slowly darkens, horns painfully protrude from their heads and they loose their angelic abilities and get replaced with new demonish ghoul like ones. Though its common for them not to gain any power at all and have the same abilities as a human. A tell tale sign your dealing with a Hell-Bound is their eyes, once golden; now a murky yellow-brown color with pupils that resembled st. peters cross.

Ever since I began to design my own versions of the Greek gods and goddesses, a particular group of them have proven to be the funnest for me, and that's Nyx’ children. I've always pictured that they would look less human-like compared to the other deities, as they are children of the night, and that's when the imagination goes wild. The first design I came up with for one of Nyx's children was Thanatos.

Art is 2 months old, but still holds up in my eyes.

He doesn't have a body under there, just a face, hands, and a large piece of fabric hiding a bunch of butterflies illuminated by a glowing light. I like to think the butterflies are actually souls of the deceased, and at the end of the day he and The Keres (daimones of violent or cruel death, Thanatos’ counterparts) go meet with Hermes and give him the souls they have collected that day. Just a neat little routine they got.

As the god of peaceful death, he is a very calm and good-natured person, but a bit naive, especially in not understanding that bad things can happen even if you are nice (basing off of his experiences with Sisyphus and Heracles), because he hadn't been exposed to a lot of bad situations. My best comparison is that he's like an alien from a utopian society, having difficulty comprehending the horrors we would face.

I do have other designs for Nyx's children, like Oizys and The Keres. Finished Sorairo Utility (TV)

Yup, them's some gay golf girls playing golf and being a cute throuple.

As far as other golf anime, the comparison point is definitely going to be Birdie Wing though the golf in Sorairo Utility is more closer to actual golf compared to Birdie Wings more over the top battle shounen version of golf.

All three of the protags are super fun and cute together and bounce off each other really well. I really liked how each of them represents a different level of skill at golf but they're all cheering each other on and helping each other grow. It just adds some super chill "friends enjoying a hobby they all love together" vibes to the show.

And of course they're super gay and silly together in almost every scene they're in.

Animation-wise it might be one of the best looking shows this season? At the very least it definitely has some of the funnest and most creative animation bits this season for sure as the animators pulled some wild swings for them.

Overall and an excellent sports CGDCT anime and is well worth picking up even if you have no interest in golf.

Just had the funnest four days I’ve put in for many moons. The new abode has so many wings and bathrooms that Helen and the boys (minus Michael due to divorce) are able to come and stay. So much hilarity, farting and poo humour !! Dropped them back to the airport this afternoon and the house feels large and quiet and bereft now. The plan now…..how to get them down here in summer holidays now!!

I replied to the second company with an enthusiastic thank you and how excited I am on everything except the half price hourly rate. Told them my rate and the f t that it is because of my skills and experience but left it with a ……. How can we make this work? Happy to jump on a call and have a chat.

aw man i love this one thank you... so this one genuinely started as a writing exercise in the vein of both, What Does Richard Ellis's Mean Streak Look Like, and, what if richard was There All Along. because i figured if richard was There All Along there would need to be a lot of complexity in that relationship for things to still progress as they do for thomas. and i chose to introduce this complexity by *checks notes* involving mr ellis in thomas's very first true love breakup and then giving him a life threatening head injury in The War.

and i had a lot of fun with that and i was so pleased people reacted well to it. i think one of my favorite parts of the au is that bates leaves circa episode 1 and never comes back BECAUSE i had to keep reminding myself of this. like it is established by a throwaway line and a key part of one chapter but in the later chapters i had to be like REMINDER: NO BATES @ myself when mentally configuring thomas's circumstances. also peterrrrr <3 we were so fucking robbed. he doesn't appear in the fic and his fate is that of canon but His Presence Is There. you know

but i think the Funnest of facts is that i have like almost 15k words written from 2021 of a through the years sequel in chronological order from richard's pov where thomas pivots to work for edith and bertie when the crawleys close downton abbey in 1932, the apex of which is a 1935 royal visit where thomas and richard sneak into a disused wing of brancaster castle and retrieve saved letters richard sent to peter to wrap up the whole entire story. which sounds like cliche bullshit now that i'm typing it out but that's sort of the point so whatever. and then in the epilogue in 1936 the king dies and they move in together in york and the letters live in their shared dresser. The End

also the sequel fic is where [really good kiss scene goes here] is from.

Let me ramble about Elfman x Vita for a bit. I'll start off by saying the main reason this ship is not my favorite is because I, the mun, am thirsting for Vita (im obviously joking abt the fave part but yeah). Listen, their dynamic started out so silly I was grinning just writing how Elfman was literally speaking for Vita because she refused to talk, it was by far one of the dumbest but funnest things I had him do. Vita's just a really fun character and I love her to death. I love that they're both stronk and that Vita drives Elfman on the treasure hunting gig (even if it's really just inferred so far). Things change to grounds I am not even familiar with after Vita starts actually TALKING but I am already loving it besides the fact that they have a kid. Did I mention that Vita first started talking as part of a horni? Because that's always fun

I'll admit at first I didn't even know what verse of Elfman to throw at this. In fact, I went with the generic fantasy shifter verse at first and just, winged it from there. Even now I'm not too sure what verse this is. But I'm here for it and I will sink with this ship.

🤕-Which boss is the hardest?

The Swansong is the bane of my existence. I've got over 700 hours in the game and I've... never actually beaten it. To be fair that's largely because I never really bothered doing mech stuff until recently (my achievement hunter brain craves Parasprite and Cosmic Intruder figurines) but hell, even the dungeon is hard. I can usually just blaze through all the dungeons, but even with endgame gear I die fairly often in the Dantalion!

🌶️-What do you think is your most unpopular Starbound opinion?

I don't care for Frackin Universe and similar overhaul mods. I just genuinely enjoy the vanilla experience! (Well, I call it Vanilla+ since I've got a ton of little QOL/bugfix/cosmetic mods. One of them literally just makes Snuggets glow)

I dabbled in Frackin once with friends, and it didn't interest me enough to start my own playthrough. It's certainly not a bad mod, just not my thing. I might do a heavily modded playthrough with Frackin and the whole nine yards someday, but I don't have any actual plans to do so.

🚀-Which ship design is the best?

They've all got their charm, but I quite like the Hylotl and Apex ships! I haven't actually gotten a fully upgraded ship with either of them, but I do like the futuristic designs. The Hylotl one is probably my favorite out of the two, though. The patchwork look of the Floran ship is also excellent.

🪞-Which starbound oc made you discover something about yourself, or inspired you to try something new?

I've been taking art seriously (as a hobby) for over six years now, but I never really bothered to draw people until I got invested in my Starbound OCs! I was a Wings of Fire kid so I started out drawing dragons(and I still do, just different dragons lol), but I've even gotten into gesture drawing lately just to draw my SB characters better.

🔎-What's a small, easy-to-miss detail that you just love?

I honestly really like the bug catching! It was absolutely a pain to get all of them for the achievement, but they make lovely lil decorations. The wild bugs add excellent ambience when wandering around on planets, too.

Also, all the little lore snippets from scanning stuff and talking to NPCs are excellent.

🎳-Funnest toy?

I must admit I never really bothered to do much with the toys! I kind of forget they exist most of the time. If I ever stumble across them I do have fun chucking them around my ship for a minute before they get banished into a miscellaneous storage box somewhere. I should do more with them

💺-What is your favorite furniture set? What is your favorite standalone furniture item? Do they go together?

I'm quite fond of the Astro set! One of my favorite things about SB is the sci-fi setting, and I love all the cool space props available. I like to mix and match them for individual builds, but Astro is my favorite whole set just because it's orange lol

My favorite individual piece has got to be the Symbiote in a Jar. I like to put them in my ship as a friend. Just look at him. Little guy

🛋️-Top 3 furniture mods?

I don't actually use any! At least not any elaborate ones; I have a few for little things like gravity field generators, ceiling-mounted sprinklers, and craftable plants and coral. Also more colors of string lights and neon lights, because shiny glowy things are a necessity.

Letheia Expanded does look very cool, though! I love mods that build on the existing lore like that.

🧱-Favorite block(s)?

The good old Ornate Wood and Classic Baseboards are some of my go-to blocks for regular house builds. Heavy Pipes, too! They make great extra details.

I also love a bunch of the super niche blocks. There's not exactly a lot of regular building uses for a block of eyeballs, but if you ever need some weird stuff for a science lab or whatnot then there's that!

🧰-What huge, super ambitious mod would you make if you had the time/energy/skills?

CHARACTER CREATION OVERHAUL. I utterly despise the little arrows for selecting everything. It's already a pain in vanilla, but when you start adding in things like Colorbound and new hairstyles it is absolute agony. I've never even tried modding and I've heard that the current BS system is hardcoded in, but I long for reasonable character creation. NPCspawner's creation menu is excellent (it uses lists of colors/hairs to pick from rather than the wretched arrows) and I wish vanilla had something similar.
