"You knocked him straight on his ass." Dustin spoke, "and knocked him out."

"What?" Y/n asked now awake looking around.

"Take this left! Left!" Lucas shouted Y/n looking at the driver seat, Max.

Looking around ahe syafted to freak out.

"WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!"

"WHAT!?" Steve shouted getting up as well from his previous state of knocked the fuck out he looking around.

"Calm Down!" Dustin tried to persuade.

"Thats not right man!" Y/n shouted looking at Max driving.

"She's drove before!" Lucas argued.

"Who!?-" Steve asked before seeing Max drivin.

He joined the screaming with Y/n in telling her to stop and pull over.

"Im trying to focus!" Max shouted.

"Left! Left Max!"

"Okay! Okay!"

"Holy Shit!" The two teens shouted.

You didnt even bother asking where you were all going

But when Max slammed on the breaks you all in farm land.

You had an idea where you were.

Everyone unpiled from the car you falling out holding your side.

"Max. Max. What are we doing here?"

"Burning the shit out of the upside down."

"Alright...yeah...alright. burn the shit." Y/n explained getting up, just to fall back down to her knee "or maybe not..."

"Shit! Guys!" Max called, "shes bleedibg through her shirt!"

The group rushed over.

"Shit..." Steve looked over her, lifting her shirt up, Bandages soaked in blood.

"Tape Henderson?" Y/n asked, Dustin throwinv her a roll of tape, she taping her abdomen up, grunting along the eay, "Lets tourch a bitch."

"Badass." Dustin cheered as Y/n walked off.

Steve looked over at Dustin with a 'really' look.

You were glad you could ask Mike for a fill in, you helping all the kids drop down, making sure they all have there make shift protective wear up and on.

And you fight with Steve to go first

You end up just pushing him out the way to go forward.

So when Mike falls because of a vine your quick to help him up and push him along with the sound of Dustin's pet growling in the background

Because apparently Demodogs love Nought.

You all rush past the busy Demo dog and start helping everyone back up the rope.

The kids first of course, leaving you and Steve at the bottom.

"Go up first!" Y/n ordered.

"No!"

"Fucking Go!-"

She was cut off by growling and screeching, what was one demodog had to be atleast 20 now.

"Get up the rope." Y/n ordered, "now."

"I don't get it. Why are you the one in danger all the time!" Steve argued, "You go up the rope!"

"Not the time to arguing now you guys!" Dustin called from above the demodogs coming around the corner.

"Because last time I let someone go infront of me! Or behind me THEY DIED. You get it now!" Y/n argued, "They DIED because of me. ME."

"Behind you!"

Y/n turned around the lot of Demodogs pulling a Hatchet out, just for them to all run past the two.

Fuck...the kids are gonna have heart attacks before there 18.

You both end up save and sound.

And as your coming up, the car lights blind you, they becoming ridiculously bright

God. You get it Billy's flashy, but thats excessive.

The bright light in the last thing you remember seeing.

Passing out again? Absolutely.

Bleeding out? Yeah that sounds like you.

Your taken to Joyce's house, we're everyone regroups.

And you're passed out on the couch, bleeding out.

Steve's in full panic mode, not exactly sure how to handle the major wounds

He can only apply pressure with the kids in a worried state

But luckily Frank's one of the first through the door

Frank takes control on the situation while Steve as much as he wants fo help, is having a freak out.

He's stuck in the bathroom, scrubbing his hands, no matter how much he picks and scrubs his hands are tinted red.

"Need some help?"

He turns his head, its Nancy holding a bottle of rubbing alcholol.

"I'm sure Y/n needs that more than me."

"Don't worry. Mr.Castiglione has plenty for her." Nancy told, setting the bottle down besides the soap.

Steve nodded, "thanks..."

"No problem..." Nancy spoke leaning against the wall, watching Steve try and rid his hands of Y/n's blood, he wincing, "burns."

"Must've scrubbed too hard." Nancy told, "let me see."

Steve gave her a hand, his other turning the water off.

"Defenitly scrubbed your hands raw." Nancy told.

Steve chuckled, "...yeah...got the better of me."

Nancy's hands were cold and soothing on Steve's. His hand relaxing in hers in relief.

"What happened here?" Nancy asked looking at Steve's split eyebrow and brusie forming on his face.

"Y/n." Steve told.

"She hurt you?"

"What? No. Yes- Not on purpose. She. She had a moment is all." Steve told and then went quiet in thought, "...I can't imagine what she goes through...what she's been through."

"We've all been through a lot." Nancy told him.

He looked at her and nodded, we had an unlining, me and you, and the others. Others implied anyone but Y/n at this point.

She smiled smally at him, then raised her head to kiss his cheek far too close to his lips to not have double meaning.

"We'll be okay."

You woke up on Joyce's table. An easy place to operate on you.

Confused you tried to sit up, but Curt stopped you,

"Hey. Hey. It's me."

"Citrius? That you man?" Y/n asked with a groan.

"Glad to see the jokes don't waver when you're almost KIA." He explained.

Y/n smiled weakly, "What are you doin here?"

"Frank called. Those mutts went after us too."

Y/n nodded, "Hey there. You alright?"

Y/n looked over to see Karen, Madani and Parker.

"Yeah. Just wanna sit up." Y/n told, Peter helping her up and off the table into a chair, "is everyone alright?"

"God look at you." Karen spoke holding Y/n's face carefully, "You're asking if we're all okay and look at you."

Y/n smiled small.

"Someone needs to stop hanging around this one." Madani explained.

"Hey. I am a very good influence." Peter defended.

A knock on the door wall intruppting them.

"Hi...:

Y/n smiled seeing Will, "Hey."

He looked at her worriedly before she lifted up an arm signalling for a hug, he was careful walking over, before Y/n dragged him into a big squeeze.

"Im sorry." He apologized.

"Its okay." Y/n responded, "You think this was bad? You should see Banner when he freaks out. Full on 7 foot green goblin comes out. You think the Mind Flayers bad? See Banner when he doesnt have milk in his coffee."

Will looked up at you as you smiled at him.

"Plus I've always got you back kid."

You're so glad that he's okay now, that everyones okay

When Frank comes in the room, from checking on Joyce seeing your up, you've never gotten up so quick to hug him.

That means almost all your friends are safe.

You don't know about Steven/Marc or Matt yet.

"What about-"

"Everyone's alright." Frank told her, "One's helping patch the kids up the other's helping clean up glass on the floor"

Y/n sighing hugging Frank tighter, he kissing the top of her head. Then pulled away from her.

"You ever. Ever. Do some stupid shit like that again. I swear." He threatened.

"Oh. So just don't act like you." Y/n defended with a smile.

He only shook his head, pulling her into another hug

"Hug her any harder and you'll bust all her stiches." Curt warned.

You just need a nap at this point.

But before you do that you got to make sure each of those kids get home first.

It takes about an hour, but everyones home and finally safe.

You and the gang actually end up spending the night of Joyce's.

The next day comes around and your pancakes on the floor with Will and the group.

All unphased by the taped up window, and Wills drawings still making a map.

The news is on, there closing Hawkin's lab,

Thank god.

Plus those Pancakes your dad made for everyone are real good.

You can't help but thing whats next for Hawkins

Is the Upside down truly gone? Or does it never go away?

Life kinda goes back to normal, the group saying they'll never come back to visit you guys, a joke of course.

Matt telling you he's proud of you and he'll see you when you come for trainning.

Its news To Peter's ears of course and he's super excited to hang out with you.

You tell him you've gotta finish up the semester first

Everything's.

Oddly okay after the whole situation, You feel like you lost people more of gained anybody.

You spend you last days of highschool alone. You know despite Johnathan talking to you during Lunch and Munson harassing you during class.

But Billy. Everytime he sees you he doesnt talk to you, there's not even a look.

And Steve, Steve just avoids you

But with the semester ending with the Winter Months.

Its either now or never.

Its. Well. The day you're leaving, with a duffle bag of your things you're putting them in the trunk of the car.

Natasha's come to pick you up, with a few others, most for entertainment reasons.

"I can still stay." Y/n spoke hands in the pockets of her dad's old poncho, a good luck charm she had taken from him.

Frank only pulls her into a hug, Y/n hugging him back, "You'll be back sooner than you know. You'll be begging me to go back."

Y/n laughed, it cracking as she tried not to cry i to his chest.

"Don't. Die." Y/n defended pulling away, and pushing him in his chest, "Im really not trying to fight Mephisto to come and get you back."

He chuckled, kissing her head, "Go. Before I end up changing my mind."

Y/n nodded, walking off the porch, "Love you dad."

"I love you too kid."

You had to pratically run to the car so you wouldn't plant your feet and not go like Frank ordered.

Natasha was kinda good with emotions, and always had your back, she was patient enough to let you go and say goodbye to everyone independently.

You were standing at the Wheelrs door, the bikes on the lawn told you, the kids were there.

"Just Knock!" Yelena shouted from the car, "You know. With a fist. And tap on the door!"

"I know how to knock!" Y/n shouted back at her.

"Really?" Barnes asked.

"What? She needed help." Yelena told.

Raising a hand to the door she knocked and surprisingly Mr.Wheeler answered it.

"And you are?"

"Oh. Mr.Wheeler hi, Im. Frank's daughter. Remember?" Y/n asked.

"You must be here for Nancy."

"Mike. Actually." Y/n told, "May I see him?"

"Karen!" Ted shouted.

"What!" She sounded annoyed.

"Where is our son?" He asked.

"Downstairs with his friends!"

Mr.Wheeler let her in, "Basement stairs are just down the way. Through the kitchen."

"Thanks." Y/n responded, following Mr.Wheeler's advice.

Mrs.Wheeler was cooking in the kitchen, Holly at the bar island a she played with her toy, she turned her head seeing Y/n walk in.

"Pretty lady!" She cheered getting out her chair to run over.

"What are you doing in my house?" Mrs.Wheeler asked.

"Saying goodbye to Mike." Y/n responded.

"You have nothing to say to my son. Not after what you did to my daughter." Mrs.Wheeler told, "get away from her Holly."

Y/n nodded, she had done nothing to Nancy, "Mom! Do we have-"

Y/n turned her head seeing Mike, "Y/n!"

"Hey." Y/n smiled.

"Guys! Y/n's here!" He called.

Footsteps were heard like a stampede, the group excited to see her.

"Hey! What's going on! Aliens with lasers!? Is Thor here!?" Dustin cheered.

"If he's here he's a little late." Max added, "Did Loki come with him?"

Y/n chuckled, "No. No one special is here."

They all awed in a bummed move.

"You're playing D&D with us then?" Will asked.

"Yeah! You should totally stay!" Lucas added.

"No. I've come to say goodbye actually."

"Goodbye?" El asked.

Y/n nodded, "Im going back to New York-"

"What!?" They asked shocked.

"You can't leave!" Lucas complained.

"Yeah!" Dustin added, "You and Steve make the perfect baby sitting duo!"

"Im coming back don't worry." Y/n informed, "But I am leaving for. A while."

"How long's a while?" El asked.

"Just. A while." Y/n responded, unsure of how long she'd be.

"You're gonna send back super cool photos tho! Right!? Postcards from space and shit?" Dustin asked.

"I will send you all postcards." Y/n told, "but for now. I've got to go. I've got other houses to go by."

They all held frowns group hugging her tight, she smiled hugging them back the best she could.

Max held on the longest, "You're gonna come back though."

"Asgardian honor." Y/n smiled, "Plus. I've gotta take you to Asgard one day-"

"You're going to Asgard!?" Dustin asked, "Great! She's becoming a God! Whats next Vahalla!?"

"You idiot thats where the dead go." Lucas argued.

"Oh. Don't go there then." Dustin told.

Y/n smiled at the group, and nodded, "I'll see you later then?"

"Yeah." Will spoke, Y/n looking at Mrs.Wheeler.

"Goodbye Mrs.Wheeler. than you for letting me say goodbye." She told and then started to leave.

"Mom who's here-"

Nancy was coming down the stairs as Y/n was leaving.

They both quiet as they looked at one another, "Goodbye Nancy." Y/n told, opening the door to leave.

"Y/n!!" Yelena complained from inside the car.

"Yeah! Yeah Im coming!"

The group of kids followed her outside.

"Is that..." Mike started.

Steve Roggers leaning against the car, waiting for Y/n to come back.

"....thats Captain America."

Roggers opened the door for Y/n, she getting in the car and he getting in the back.

Y/n waved to them one last time.

"Go! Go!" Lucas shouted, they all rushing forward as Natasha started down the street.

"Y/n! Y/n!" They shouted running after the car.

"Fanclub much?"

They ran along side the car, "You're gonna be the best damn Aveneger ever!" Will shouted.

"Yeah! A total badass!" Mike added.

Some of them falling behind with the moving vehicle.

"Don't take everything on by yourself!" Max shouted.

The last of them fell behind, the car moving too quick for them to keep up.

"You're one of the best damn baby sitters ever!" They shouted together.

Baby sitter?

You bet there all pokin fun at you now.

Till you tell them you took your kids of a dimensonal day trip

Natasha stops you at Steve's house next

Steve answers the door, alone at home once again.

"Hey..." Steve started, "How...how are you..."

Y/n nodded, "good...good."

"Great."

It's silent for a moment.

"I-"

"No. You go first-"

"Okay-"

The two laugh, both nervous with voices over lapping each other.

"Yeah. You first. If you want." Steve told.

Y/n nodded, "Yeah...So...I'm leaving for New York."

"Wow. Thats. Thats Great!" Steve smiled, "Im happy for you, Nice to be going home...."

Y/n smiled, "Yeah, snows great in the city. Real pretty..."

"Maybe I can...take you out...ya know...before you leave. Tommorow Moring? I know a great waffle place." Steve told, "Plus...we have alot...well I...have a lot to tell you....and Im. Im real sorry for ignoring you, and avoiding you- i. It's..."

Y/n looked down at her hands, "it...its okay..."

He looked at her concerned, "You're not leaving soon. You're leaving now. Aren't you?"

"Yeah." Y/n spoke finally looking back into his gaze, "Bye Harrington."

She turned around walking back towards the car, he watching the black car drive off.

If you thought that was hard, this last stop was going to be harder

You got out, Natasha grabbing your arm.

"You know. If you need back up on this one. I'm on it."

Y/n nodded getting out.

"Wait she's gonna go kick ass?" Yelena asked, "I wanna go."

She walked up to the door, knocking on it, Susan answering it.

"Hi. Ms.Mayfeild."

"Hello. Can I help you?"

Y/n nodded, "Billy home?"

"In his room dear."

Y/n nodded, "thank you."

Y/n walked through the house, knocking on Billy's door, music playing loud like always. She opened it.

"What-"

He stopped seeing her standing there. Her face lightly scarred up, the most notebale a scar that cut through her eyebrow.

"Hey."

He turned off the music, the two standing there akwardly, Y/n closing the door behind her.

"Just. Come to say goodbye." Y/n spoke.

"Where you goin?" He asked leaning against his wall a pack of cigrattes now in his hand.

"Back to New York." Y/n told, "dad things its the best choice. Some superhero trainning as the kids call it."

"Well you've become what you didnt want to." He spoke setting a cigratte in his lips, "Congrats."

Billy's lighter sparked, he trying to get a steady flame.

"You know." Y/n responded, "no one knows still."

The flame finally held as he was still for a moment then lit his cigratte, "thanks..."

"I don't break pinky promises." Y/n told him, "never had. Never will. Those things are serious you know."

Billy chuckled softly letting it die off into his cigratte as he took another puff.

"I shot first." He spoke up, "Why act like I didn't."

"Because I understand what it's like." Y/n responded, "I got lucky...I got real lucky that Im not in your shoes no more...there was a guy..Arthur Walsh before I was a Castle."

Billy was silent, intently listening.

"I thought he was...this. god. Almost. Helped me. Helped..My older brother. Who you think is gonna protect you just ends up hurting you instead. I was embarssed, my brother was embarrassed. So when you told me what your dad did to you." Y/n told sighing, making her way over to him, "I just. Wanted to floor him so hard. Right then and there. Infront of it all. Infront of everyone. But its hard to get passed the embarssed part. I understand but once you get past that point and you see it, its a fight or flight response. So. Like you asked. Even though I wanted to. So, I didn't tell anyone."

Y/n didn't receive a response she nodding, "I'll send you a post card Hargrove."

"Wait."

She stopped, turning back towards him, "You gave me a run for my money. Just like our first basketball game."

Y/n chuckled lightly, "Just a bit. You got a good hit on me too."

He smiled, unable to contain it, puttinv out his cigratte, "Im gonna miss you City Bird."

Y/n smiled, "Im gonna miss you to Hargrove-"

She was shocked by the hug given to her. But smiled hugging him back.

Feeling something else wrap around her he pulled away, "Not gonna forget me now."

"Hey-" Y/n started, "Im comin back."

"Not soon enough. If you're dieing out there. Atleast die with it on."

Y/n chuckled the brown worn leather jacket sitting on her shoulders, "hey. If Im dieing. Im takin you with me."

He laughed, Y/n smiling at him, "You never change City Bird."

"You'd Miss me too much if I did." Y/n told, "So. See you later?"

She lifted up a pinky to him.

"See you later hero," Billy interlinked pinky's with her.

"You can be the hero next time Billy. Deal?"

"Deal."

Oh how she wish she never made that deal

Tony Stark-antis need to learn some chill and basic narrative comprehension skills. Like really? Again with this bullshit?

Dude, we are ONE episode into Falcon and the Winter Solider and people are already using it as an excuse to resurrect anti-Tony Stark bad takes. Like... WTF fandom? Do we really have to go through this with every single post-Endgame mcu project? Really? When are ya all gonna learn some comprehension skills and actually pick up on what the narrative is trying to say?

Say it with me: the bank loan scene was a not-very-subtle jab at systemic racism and the way black veterans have been treated in American for decades. It’s not an excuse to anti on about how “tOnY sTaRk DiDnT pAy ThE aVeNgErS CuZ hE’s A eVIL bILLIonAiRe!”

Are you all so afraid of talking about systemic racism that you have to blame Tony Stark for Sam not getting a bank loan? Really? After a year of BLM protests and extensive awareness-raising for systemic racism, and y’all still don’t get it?

That’s the real world issue that the narrative was trying to lay out, and it’s the in-universe explanation for that scene, which is trying to address out-of-universe real-world issues. But now let me be petty and go back to the in-universe issues of whether Sam got paid... because this whole take is just pissing me off and I have to rant. So...

Sam hasn’t had a paying job in seven years, and he chose to leave the Avengers when he defied the Sokovia Accords because he blindly follows everything Cap says without ever thinking for himself. He’s been badly written ever since he showed up at the end of Age of Ultron. And that bad writing means he’s just been playing as Cap’s lackey, and in doing so, he CHOSE to leave the Avengers, to reject a government paycheck, and take his chances on the run for two years as a fugitive. So yeah. Two years, no job, no pay. And as far as we can tell, he didn’t do a whole lot of awesome saving-the-world in those two years either. He was just hiding out with Cap and maybe punching a couple of low-level terrorists or something .There certainly weren’t any alien invasions that he stopped in that time. And after that, he was dust for five years. That’s not his fault, obviously, but no one can expect to collect a paycheck while they don’t exist. That’s why the post-Blip economy is probably a bit wonky at the moment. So in total... seven years. No job. No paycheck. Part of that is consequences of Sam’s actions and part of it was through no fault of his own. But yeah, after seven years with no paycheck, there’s a good chance he’s got money issues. Did banks seize assets of those who were blipped? Totally possible.

But now, in-universe, let’s remember that all this bullshit that antis are spewing about “Tony Stark should have set aside money for his friends and teammates” and “Sam saved the world from aliens so many times, so he deserves a pension” and “Tony could set up a trust fund for all of the avengers because they’re his friends!” Yeah. That’s all 100% BS.

First off, Sam Wilson and Tony Stark are not friends in the MCU. Never have been. In Civil War, Tony said, “I know we don’t know each other very well” because they don’t! They’ve NEVER FOUGHT TOGETHER ON THE SAME TEAM! Think about that. Tony wasn’t an active duty avenger between Age of Ultron and Civil War, and that’s the only time period where Sam was an active avenger. So they were never really “teammates” and they weren't friends. They were, at best, acquaintances or coworkers who never worked closely together.

And during that time, when Tony appears to have had little contact with the avengers, he was bankrolling the team. He says, “what, am I doing here? Running a bed and breakfast for a biker gang?” He made the compound and supplied all of the avengers’ tech. He gave them free room and board. It sure looks like they had everything they needed, so it’s entirely possible (even likely) that Tony was paying the Avengers during this time. But that’s all it was. Two years when Sam was an active avenger, Tony wasn’t, but Tony was still bankrolling the team. After that... Sam was a fugitive and then he was dust. So he spent 7 years with no job, and two of those years were by choice, because of Sam’s rejection of being an avenger and refusal to accept a government paycheck. And finally... Sam has never saved the world! And he’s only fought aliens during Infinity War and Endgame. So where are people getting this whole, “but Sam should be paid because hE sAvEd tHe wOrLd!”? Uh, no. Not really. He helped in Endgame. He tried to help in Infinity War. And that’s good. That’s important. It’s not nothing. But it’s also not saving the world. In this first episode of TFATWS, Sam literally accepted thanks from a guy who said “you brought my wife back,” when Sam had nothing to do with that. Bruce snapped and brought back all the dusted. Sam had no role in helping for that. Now I get that Sam was probably just being polite. But it’s contributing to this narrative that Sam did more then he actually did. Naw, man. Marvel never cared about Sam Wilson until five minutes ago. So they’ve never actually shown him doing anything that was, well, important. And that’s a fail on Marvel, but if we’re looking at it from a purely in-universe perspective... Sam Wilson doesn’t deserve any more or less than any other government/military contractor. Because that’s what he is now (he’s not an Avengers because the Avengers no longer exist), and that’s what he was up until the last scene of Age of Ultron. Most of his existence, he’s been a solider. He’s a military guy. So if he’s not been getting paid, that’s on the military. Tony, at most, would have paid him for two years of his time and work. The rest is all on the military, including Sam’s current finances.

Which means, you want to blame someone for Sam’s finances and his inability to get a loan? Well, there are three reasons. 1. Sam chose to leave the Avengers to become a fugitive with Cap, which means he had no job and no paycheck for two years. That’s the consequences of his actions. 2. the military either stopped paying him at some point, or hasn’t been paying him enough/quick enough in the past six months since the Blip. Military pay for veterans and veterans’ access to benefits is a real problem, but it’s a military problem. And it’s possible that any back-pay or pension that Sam is owed is tied up in red tape, which is probably only exacerbated by his time as a fugitive (which might mean he was made ineligible for any pension). And finally 3. systemic racism. His sister was pretty clear on the fact that “people like us” are the ones who always seems to be denied loans. She was saying that there is money available for loans, but it always go to white folks first. Maybe try listening to the black character explain why they believe they aren’t getting paid. Sam (when not on the run or blipped) was living a pretty cushy life as a supporting avenger for two years. He apparently didn’t have to think about how systemic racism could affect his family because he was temporarily insulated from it. Now that layer of protection is gone because he’s not living in a cushy compound away from the real world (which, for the record, is probably a good thing. I think the Avengers being so isolated from the real world is probably partially what led to the problems in Civil War). So now Sam is going to be confronted with the reality that systemic racism is real and can affect anybody, regardless of your fame or your job. And after the past year of discussions on race, the fandom shouldn’t be surprised by this narrative.

I am so sick of every single MCU project post-Endgame being twisted by antis who just want to use it to hate Tony Stark. I mean, seriously. Give it a rest, people! Try reading the narrative the way it was intended and stop twisting it for your hate-Tony-Stark obsession.

Hi friend! You seem vast in your knowledge of Stephen and willing to share so please enlighten me as I don’t read the comics but I do watch the mcu movies, and do love Stephen.

I know he’s erratic and impulsive and reckless sometimes but didnt we already complete this arc in his first movie? Especially since we’ve watched him deal with the consequences of his actions for the entirety of the film and end of the movie Stephen was a different Stephen from the beginning of the movie.

IW Stephen seemed like a more mature version of the man we’ve met at the end of his first movie, a linear progression of the character, more responsible.

The spider man trailer is just a few minutes so I’ll further reserve judgment till I see the film, but he seems.. silly almost? I’m aware he has his funny moments but I’m just nervous they’re gonna make him the joke instead of having him make the jokes.

Do you notice anything weird about how the adults act in these newer marvel projects.? (I’m thinking of loki specifically) they all have a silly undertone to them? I cant put my finger on it but it’s definitely new and ..off

Is this a constant characterization for Stephen in the comics? Is this what he’s like all the time?

Oh yeah, Stephen's my favorite subject at the moment so I'm happy to give my thoughts!

Note that my answers apply to MCU!Stephen and what we've seen in the four films he's been in.

In my experience of just living, there are personality quirks that can be tempered out and made better, but not entirely eliminated, even if it's undesirable. In my opinion, Stephen's need to push himself and prove that he can Do A Thing is a trait that won't ever go away--especially as that trait has helped him more than hindered him. Examples would include the more mundane such as getting through a combined MD/PhD program and inventing surgical procedures at what is still a really young age for a neurosurgeon. We don't have a canonical age for Stephen, but Benedict was 40 when Doctor Strange was filmed and released; even if he's canonically in his mid-40s, that's still very young for him to be at his caliber after the necessary years of med school and residency in the United States. He's young and nowhere near the end of his career when he gets in the car crash. So with that information in mind, we know that he's very ambitious and throws himself into doing difficult work with gusto. That doesn't even go into everything he did as a sorcerer.

Why get into all of this? Because while we, the viewer who has seen the multiverse open at... some point (possibly, in a rewritten timeline, it's always been open now with what happened in Loki!), we have seen just how nuts it gets. We have seen the consequences. Stephen's smart, but I don't think it's a matter of strictly recklessness and more a combination of ignorance on this specific subject (erasing memories across the world or slightly rewriting time-- we don't know how he's doing it, but a memory spell makes more sense to me), hubris (of course), and the real desire to help Peter out. The latter two traits combined in intelligent people have proven bad in both fiction and reality.

The reason I don't think it's pure impulsiveness is because in the trailer, we see Stephen doing some meditation type thing in the underground area before the spell. He's also always doing research and as he tells Peter he'll help him, he clearly knows of a spell already and has some working knowledge of how it works. The conversation with Wong wouldn't have happened otherwise. But I personally get the vibe off him that he'd not do it without being very confident that he can do it -- and his history in the films has shown 0 failures in any of his spells once he's past novice-level, so in that aspect, his confidence makes sense. If he *should* do the spell due to the risks of failure, and lack of practicing precaution in the face of his confidence, is where his flaws lie, IMO. And in that sense people could say he was reckless for deciding to perform a complicated, dangerous spell, but that follows his M.O. completely -- he performed a very complicated, dangerous spell consistently with the Time Stone again and again, from how the sorcerers spoke about the Infinity Stone (and he casually just... throws himself into a time loop, then to look through time. He takes calculated risks, but they are very much risks).

One last thought on this statement - the biggest, biggest lesson that Stephen learned in his first film was that it was not about him. There was more to the world than his glory and his brilliance and even his happiness. He started doing things for the greater good rather than himself. And he started doing things for others -- fighting for the Sanctum in his own film, and protecting the Earth. Serving something greater than himself. But that doesn't make him suddenly humble, and it doesn't suddenly take away his strange (hah) sense of humor.

He was more serious in that film. So was Tony. They still had some quips and arguments, but they were very serious. And it makes sense as to why -- it was the end of the world. So the mood of the setting would change anyone's demeanour. But he had very little chance to unwind in that film, considering that he was trying to protect one of six items that would destroy the universe, and also got freaking tortured in the middle of the film with little time to recover. But nearly every Avenger was super serious in that film, and for good reason.

It's a completely different setting from what is now Stephen's life which, from what little we've seen in the trailer, is weird enough that he got a magical snowstorm in the Sanctum. It's safe enough that Wong's off on vacation. It's been nearly a year since he returned from the dead. He's either figured out how to move on in the last year or, as some prefer, has gotten good enough to put on a facade and bury the trauma so far down that he's putting on a normal act - but that's up to debate until MoM. And we have no idea if old traumas are going to be brought up there or if it's just the new things.

I think the point is that it's possible to be both a responsible person and also to make colossal mistakes due to either emotional connections or hubris (or both - we don't know which way the film will go, if they'll explain it at all). They're not mutually exclusive. He can be protecting reality fantastically, while also believing that he's skilled enough to pull off the ability to pull off a dangerous spell which he did in his own film and in IW. He's guided the timeline down a specific path in IW/Endgame, after all - what's a little identity item compared to the fate of the universe, after all? Removing the Spider-Man/Peter association is, in comparison, child's play I imagine to a man like Stephen.

He was definitely silly in his own film. He was constantly trying to get Wong to laugh and there was a banter between Stephen and Christine after he gets stabbed. He's always been a bit awkward and a bit jokey--I think Thor showed that combination of humorous snark and good research rather well, though he was flippant in a way that didn't get to show his kinder side that is better established in his film. And now we get to see that sympathy in his agreement to help Peter (at least, in my opinion).

Because he was doing an amazing awesome spell not once, not twice, but *three* times in the trailer alone, I am not worried about Stephen just being a joke. He seems just as powerful as he was in IW and Endgame. The rest of the world is just getting reminded that he's definitely a bit of a socially awkward duck at times (or, if you prefer, Putting On a "I'm Fine" Front And It's Coming Across As Weird). So him being a big joke is not something I am personally worried about.

Situational humor has been a staple of Marvel films since Iron Man. I watched the films casually before 2016 when I fell head deep into Stephen Strange (or well, 2018/9 is more accurate as that's when I *really* went nuts), and my viewings before that time and after that time was a lot more analytical. And it's very easy to see where the silliness started, all the way back when Tony crashed into his own car and Dum-E sprayed him with a fire extinguisher. Thor was the butt of the joke in the "fish out of water" scene in a good, good chunk of the film. Even Captain America had some situational humor. And remember that Guardians of the Galaxy was back in 2014, which was halfway through the MCU's time thus far. The stars of these films are almost always the butt of some joke a couple times and do things that could be viewed as childish.

I don't know your age at all, but if you were born after 1990, what might be happening, rather, is that they are not getting sillier, but that you may be getting older. I was an adult (legally, at least) in 2008, but the way I view the adults of the films throughout the early 2010s as compared to now is night and day. It's just come with my own life experience, and wider understanding to media tropes. The jump is even more significant if you were younger in Iron Man/Avengers days and are an adult now. If you're an older adult than me, then I'd argue it's the matter of life experience adding to your overall knowledge of media plus, potentially, rose-tinted glasses giving you a better vision of the older movies while forgetting that the older movies had plenty of their own flaws (and silliness). Could be a lot of things- it's too individual to really say why your perspective has changed. But I don't think the MCU's largely changed their comedy formula since 2012/2013.

Oh the comics are a mess of characterizations. It's very difficult to find full consistency across writers, and some writers did him much better than others. At the moment, Jason Aaron's 2015 run is viewed as very good by a large amount of fans, while Waid's 2018 run is viewed with mixed reviews. It's largely a matter of preference as you'll see traits that are just so uncharacteristic in an arc and then it never happens again. He takes on secret identities, he kills billions to save trillions (along with the other Avengers!), he sells his soul, he's in a steady relationship for 30 years, then he's sleeping with a new woman every arc he co-stars in-- it's just so dependent on the writer over the decades. What Marvel thinks will sell. Right now Marvel thinks his death is gonna sell issues, so yeah :P You pick and choose with the comics and build a personality from there.

dhjfejgjdnc ok this got long buckle up sooo the way i got into marvel was i always loved iron man 1 since I was like. 6 and then one ugly 2017 day I found a gif of rdj and cevans almost kissing and through that I found out the mcu like. exists and i went hold awn there's MORE IRON MAN???!! and binged the entire mcu in less than a week (i missed school for a week to do it. um) so i cant actually remember watching either of the thor movies coz they were boring as shit and i watched wayyyy too many movies at the same time, but i know I didn't like Loki in either of them coz he just seemed. well evil and an asshole. and then i watched avengers and idk that just rly cemented it for me that I didn't like him but i didnt much care beyond that (this was September so Ragnarök wasnt out yet) and then when i finished the mcu i went to look at fandom shit and every single person was like "um Loki never did anything wrong" and I was like "??? he killed thousands of ppl?????" and basically rly saw in depth how much horny women way too old to live on tumblr woobify and/or borderline fetishise this thousand year old man and went no yeah i CANNOT stand him. also one of my irls was (still is I guess) in love with him and it was really funny to annoy her by saying i hate him. but then when he died in endgame she didnt cry but i did because I was sad about her being sad (yes for real) even tho i was like 95% sure Loki was gonna die and I was literally happy he did. anyway that's it for the history lesson I guess

I say this as someone who was very dissatisfied with the other shows…Loki’s finale gave me everything I wanted 😭😭😭😭 I’m satisfied 😭 I’m interested as to why you weren’t

idk how to put all this but after a certain point it really felt like this wasn't loki's series but a series that simply had a (weird version of 2012) loki in it. i'm just generally kinda annoyed by how they especially handled loki being bi and genderfluid bc at this point their "confirmation" is basically non-existent and loki might as well be cishet.

plus that entire sylvie x loki thing?? so weird and out of character imo. like loki isn't as narcissistic as everyone seems to think, loki legit doesn't like himself or think he's worthy of love for the most part. so why tf would he suddenly start running after the only female version of himself like some dumb schoolboy in love? and even if we ignore that part, theyre literally the same person??? just from different timelines???? if that's all cool then why didnt we see ravonna make out with her school teacher-self?

all his character development was pushed into the first episode and after that we're supposed to think that now he's kinda on the level of post-ragnarok loki but even less interested in being king/ruler??? for loki that entire "trying to rule earth/nyc" thing happened less than a week ago, he wouldn't change all his motivations that fast. that entire "oh no i'd never want this throne" thing was annoying like thats his main motivation in every single mcu film???

sylvie and loki were so weirdly characterized imo. where is all of loki's ability to be cunning and scheming? why does he now trust basically everyone?? sylvie isn't really a fleshed out character either, she's just the terrifyingly strong woman in a group of men. like that's not good representation especially if thats basically all that she is allowed to be

a lot of the show just seems like build-up to the next few mcu movies to me... and a lot of timeline stuff (i.e. loki ending up at a "different" tva even though he was sent there before the timeline even split that much) feels weird and it doesn't make sense imo

and it's really dissatisfying to have loki build that relationship/friendship with mobius (and hunter b-15 to a certaib degree) just to... not have them remember him?? even if you dotn ship mobius and loki it's just. disappointing to have him lose his first actual friend like that after just seeing them hug the episode before that

there's a lot of questions still unanswered and many things that wouldve been nice to see and yeah i saw that season 2 thing but ugh. what was sylvie's nexus event? why tf does mobius like jetskis that much? where does that part in the trailer where loki wears his 2012 clothes come from? why the hell do all the lokis seem so shocked at the idea that any version of them could ever be a woman? why is an alligator acceptable tho? why did loki seemingly fall in love with sylvie after only knowing her for like 12 hours and proceeded to make every single one of his motivations be about her?

kang the conqueror was a pretty cool character tho he really owned that entire last episode lol

imho Ultron and Civil War are where the MCU really went south. I remember reading about how originally the plans for CA3 were vastly different and had nothing to do with Civil War, that originally it was gonna have the Serpent Society and more of a hunt for Bucky. I’m really disappointed we didn’t get that instead of... what we got

yeah i agree!! honestly i think with both ultron and civil war and then everything moving forward, the mcu became a lot more concerned with showing off how many characters they could get instead of like. actually caring about the story they were writing. esp with ultron like i just dont see why they had to introduce the maximoffs if they knew that they didnt have teh full rights to them lmao to me it just shows immense greed. they could’ve easily done an avengers movie without them and could’ve waited til later on to introduce them. but instead they wrote them in and absolutely ruined their characters. and then civil war too, it just felt like a “wow look at how much characters we can get into our movie haha we’re such an expansive universe now” when like .... making a cap movie civil war makes no sense AND it makes even less sense when u realize that infinity war and endgame were right after lol like it makes their conflict look so stupid and then they didnt even resolve it in a satisfying manner either, they just gave it time jumps and called it a day. idk how far they actually planned into serpent society because i rmbr they were thinking abt it before feige told them that they should do civil war instead. fuck them executives. wish we got samstevesharon in cap3 instead of That

everything, everything, it has been years since i read that but that twist/ending was bullshit, i have never felt more rage in my life, fuck that book, fuck, i dont remember all of the details of it but in general it felt like shit, it just brushed away all of the stakes and demonized people with mental illnesses and generally felt like garbage, god i am pissed

stories that are like super futuristic technology stuff with like tech genius characters??? is that a trope??? does that make sense??? anyway i hate that, i dont think ive read many books like that so ill use the mcu as an example :) it just feels like theres no stakes because everything can be solved by just inventing a new machine! also most uses of time travel, i forgot that one (exceptions would be like bill and ted or paper girls but they are rare)

i haven't seen it much recently, but captive prince, just the whole premise and shit that ive heard about it makes me very uncomfortable

What are your thoughts on mcu wanda? The whitewashing has bothered me since aou and I dont like how the russos/m&m wrote her entire character around vision but the fandom response has been kinda weird. From what I remember, especially after IW people really didnt like her. What I saw a lot were the likes of "haha no one was sad when she was dusted" and "no way could she hold back 5 infinity stones" etc calling her weak for crying over vision or evil for messing with tony in aou. But then captain marvel and endgame came along and she suddenly became a fandom darling. Now all I see on every platform is "yes queen" or "we stan the strongest avenger" despite her not really having a personality? The way she lost her accent over time to make her more palatable to audiences didnt sit right with me either

Oh go off! I do feel like she could have been written better and yeah the whitewashing is a problem. Also why did they kill off pietro? He's whitewashed too but like... How can you break up one of the most popular siblings??

But yeah the way fandom treats wanda is weird. Like where was the love before hand??

Idk i think her powers are cool but like... That's about it. From what I've seen in the comics she's way cooler there lmao.

okay here’s what i remember from THE CON

i can’t remember if the ticket was cheap or pricey. i don’t know why. i wanna say it was more expensive or of equal value to a bigger con and i justified it to my parents and myself because it was the first one. but i went because i thought the idea of a con that was centered on the various fandoms popular on this site at the time was a genuinely neat idea. i also thought, okay let me just go because it’s another one to attend.

i should note: that have been to a lot conventions in my time. i’ve been to acen twice i think? i’ve been to nebkon twice. sadly i have never been to c2e2 or flashback chicago (which i may never get to go to now whoops) and i’ve been to wizard world chicago i wanna say 4 times?

now at these cons (mostly wizard world) these fandoms aren’t as present. in fact, the main demo of that con was adult to middle age to older visitors as well as families, so usually teens and young adults would find each other at this con (whether planned ahead or by accident there) and freak the fuck out over our cosplays or mutual love of whatever.

so because of this again the idea of a t.umblr con was exciting to me, even though i was already at the end of being interested in those fandoms (as i’m sure most people were at the time)

okay so first, this con was far. wizard world and acen are held at the rosemont convention center which while kind of far from where i live, is accessible by train via downtown or via one of chicago’s big airports. i always got a ride though which with summer traffic, took forever. so much like that this con was a journey away.

the hotel the con choose i remember thinking it seemed new, but it was far from where i lived which inpacted the amount of time i spent at the con and the decision to only go two days (i didn’t return the last day because it was a shit show)

i went to this con by myself because i think at this point i had already had a falling out with my friend who i went to cons in the area with (she did not attend that i know of). i wore two cosplays that i had made already for other things, gwen stacy and america chavez. this would have been the ideal place for me to cosplay something more niche, but i just didn’t care that much about it. maybe i didn’t think it was worth it at the time since it wasn’t going to be a big con.

so i get there and there’s no long line to get my badge in fact i don’t even remember a line at all. which, for me, was bizarre. every con i’ve been to before had huge lines even on off hours to get badges. but whatever. i cant remember if where i got my badge was in the the same room as where the ball pit was or not. but yes, i did go into the ball pit and i was silly in it with some other people because

idk you see a ball pit you go in the ball pit? in hindsight i know it’s not acceptable to have this at a con, but shit i guess i was high on life at the time. someone took a pic of me in the pit, but i have never seen it.

i remember seeing some very impressive cosplays at this con. i also bought some really great art in the dealers room which was small. (here’s the artist. also this was nonfandom art. i don’t remember buying anything else from anyone because i don’t think i saw anything i liked/could afford) there was no unlicensed night vale merch sold here that i remember, but i do remember receiving free unlicsenced night vale like pamphlets from a random vendor and also there was a vendor who was giving away a large piece of night vale fan art with a purchase of over something dollars i dont remember.

panels: i don’t remember there being many panels or even very interesting panels. panels i remember going to include: bisexuality in media/bisexuality representation (which was put on by the bisexualbooks tumblr), ask an avenger (which was put on by various marvel cosplayers), and a panel that was about female characters in supernatural (i was a spn stan back in the day jsyk).

the bi one was good. i remember it being the most like a panel that you’d go to at a larger convention. they had slides and info and they took questions and had several speakers.

the avengers one was what we’d call today “cringey” but it was cute. it was exactly what it sounds like. avengers cosplayers sat up on a stage answering questions in character. i believe that all the cosplayers had rp and/or ask blogs which is why they were chosen.

the supernatural panel was, like the bi one, complete with slides and various speakers, but from what i remember it was mostly going down the list of female characters in the show. i remember from the fandom that there a good chunk of people who love the characters, but they’re often killed off or abandoned and this is something a lot of fans did have gripes with. this is gonna sound fake when i say it, but this did happen, we got to charlie and someone said “yeah i like charlie she’s cool because she’s a lesbian but she doesn’t act like one like she’s still feminine” and i spoke up and said “well yeah it’s cool she’s a lesbian, but what do you mean she doesn’t act like one. like queer female character shouldn’t have to be feminine to be seen as good rep.” and people clapped. i know that sounds fake, but please believe me because this is a setting where people are inclined to clap when they agree with statements. people clapped at others too.

i also attended the costume contest, the night vale panel, and the meet and greet with doug jones.

the contest was fine. there was one individual at this con who i can’t name because i didnt know their name, but they cosplayed as ed from edd ed and eddy and they were in character the whole time to the point of discomfort. it wasn’t just for the contest i found myself in a cards against humanity game that they were in and it was even there and it was weird.

then the night vale panel happened and ooooooooohhhh boy

this was the most filled room in the whole con. a main reason i went to this con was to see them and im pretty sure this was everyone’s main reason to go. i known someone from other cons who came from florida to see this. (fun fact: we were mutuals on various platforms and had hung out at various cons and i knew their name, but they could not remember mine and i thought that was bogus so i ghosted them. dont know if i was justified in that but whatever)

so here we all were waiting. for over an hour. during this time people talked and i remember someone cosplaying the glow cloud went up and down the isle with a little glow cloud baby in a stroller and we all laughed and cheered. people started playing card games. we kept busy. for me though.

this was one of the most boring cons i’ve been to honestly. i’m having trouble remember a lot of it and that’s because i went solo. i had no friends there. i cosplayed gwen from like the 60s and this was before spidey joined the mcu and before itsv was a thing so spidey was basically an niche fandom (i was active in the tasm and dane deha.an fandoms at this time and the latter became toxic as fuck but that’s a whole other story) or something older comic fans liked.

my other cosplay was america chavez from young avengers which never got that popular either (though kate bishop and kid loki where more recognized, but for their connection to bigger marvel names). so it wasn’t like other cons where my cosplay was an ice breaker and i could join groups. i was alone.

so a lot of the con for that reason was awkward and waiting for night vale was like being the person texting in the corner at a distant relative’s party because they know no one.

so they finally come on stage to say that night vale will not be performing and people went ballistic people were shouting and the person said “we have doug jones in the next hall you should go over to that” and someone yelled “WE DON’T WANT TO SEE HIM”

i went to see doug jones and i was previously unaware of what his name was but i knew who he was. he talked about his work and acting process and did a meet and greet after. mr. jones was a delight and i’m wondering how they even got him there in the first place. he was leagues above this.

i had to leave the con early that day to go to my brother’s football game, but i believe that was the night they “protested” at the con and i kept seeing on tumblr that it was cancelled. i decided not to go back the next day because i was unsure of what was happening and because it was too far.

and the rest is history. i’m sure i went to other panels, but i can’t remember them. i do remember going into the room where they were watching pacific rim, but it was on a shitty projection screen and i wanted to go to a panel instead.

it’s shitty what happened with the con. and a lot of the unrest came from literal teens who were cheated from money who didn’t know how to act, but all the responsibility goes to the people who organized it poorly. The concept of a tu.mblr con i don’t think should have been inherently bad. i think it would have been cool to have a con that focused on more niche interests. but shouldn’t have been as big as they wanted it to be for the first go.

anyway that’s most of what i can remember. it’s kind of blur because i spent most of it by myself and there wasn’t much to do so i didn’t even spend the whole day there.

quite frankly, i’m glad i wasn’t there when they started singing les mis because i have no idea how i would have acted.

70 Years Too Late Chapter Five

Summary: The reader and Steve dates in the 40′s but when Steven gets frozen she can’t take life without him. So she asks her friend Howard to freeze her until they can find a way to get him back. But what happens when she gets to the future and he’s dating someone new?

“Y/n? As in Howard’s best friend Y/n? The one that he never stopped loving but just abandoned him that Y/n?” Tony said, his voice increasingly get louder by the minute. So this was Howie’s son. I get he got blessed with good genes the man looked like a goddamn fox. Age was definitely his friend, I wonder if Howie aged as well as his son. Speaking of Howard.

“Yes that’s me. I didn’t want to leave him he’s my best friend. I never meant to hurt him. Where is he? There’s so much he needs to tell me? Did they find Steve?” I rush and try to get up from the table but a as soon as my feet hit the ground a wave of nausea hit me like a truck and I flew to the nearest trash can, spewing out anything that would come out. Not like I had time to eat anything while I was getting a lifetime of sleep.

“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay just get it out darling,” Tony said as he rubbed my back. Great just what I needed a hot guy watching me spill my guts.

“So where is Howard,” I say trying to get up but loosing my balance but before I could fall I felt two arms wrap around me keeping me from falling. I look up at the face those arms belonged to, and was met with the charming man that is Tony stark the apple didn’t fall far from the tree with the charm.

“You alright there, hon” he chuckled, smiling a smile almost as beautiful as Steve’s.... I said almost.

“Yeah I’m fine” I said as I get out of his arms. “I just have a lot of work to do. Oh crap I still didn’t check in with the boss, he’ll want to know I’m back and Howard must have work for me. I got to go” I said rushing out.

“Wait I don’t think it’s like you remember! Mama! Y/N!” He shouted as Dr. Banner and him run after me.

“Ashburn! I need those papers on my desk. And Carter I need to see you for the briefing. Smith stop staring at my ass!” I yell walking around seeing as I was kinda the one who ran the building. I stopped after I realized no one was following my instructions. If fact not one of my team mates were even there. Not Carter not Howard not even Smith. It was just a room filled with people in funny suits. Did they make more super soldiers I didn’t know about?

“Who are you people and where is my team! Where is Howard? Carter! What’s going on?” I rush out as I get strange looks from everyone in the room.

“Mrs. L/N, I think you might want to take a seat” a guy with an eye patch said to me as he pointed at an open seat on the couch.

“That’s what I was trying to tell you babe” tony smirked as he led me to the seat. And I was continuing to get weird looks from everyone there.

“Who’s mrs daisy over here?” One of them snickered.

“Excuse me and who are you? I don’t remember giving you permission to talk. And all of you, you look at me you don’t talk to me unless I give you the right to do so I don’t know who let you up here. But I am the high ranking agent here. So I won’t take your bullshit do I make myself clear solider!” I shout in my Lieutenant voice.

“Ah yes sir... I mean mama” he stuttered and sat up straight. And everyone was either too stunned to say anything or trying to keep their laughs in much like tony.

“L/N” eye patch said again “do you know what time period we’re in?” He asked carefully.

“Well judging from the lack of respect and terrible outfit choices im gonna guess we’re not in the 40’s anymore sir” I said with my head held high and looking straight. We were never allowed to look our superiors in the eye, that was a like a big f u to the big man. He wasn’t our friend he was our boss.

“Y/n you can look me in the face. Like you said it’s not the 40’s anymore” he smiled.

“Sorry sir force of habit. We’re not allowed to look our superiors in the eyes it’s a sign of being to comfortable and we can’t risk getting too comfortable” I say.

“Woah she’s sounds like my aunt Peggy” someone said as they walked in and stood next to me looking me over and smiled.

“You know Peggy Carter? I must speak with her this instant she must be worried sick I didnt even say goodbye” I said to her.

“Mama that’s what I wanted to discuss” eye patch spoke slowly.

“Well get on with it sir. And please don’t call me mama that makes it sound like I’m 50. Y/N is fine.”

“Well Y/N were in the year 2013 and Howard and Carter... they’re dead” he looked down.

“What? I... you can’t be serious. I told Howard I would see him again. This isn’t real this is a joke Howard put you up to this didn’t he.. he had to hes always doing shit like this” I say sitting back down shaking my head back and forth I look around the room at all the faces trying to find a hint of doubt on them. But all I saw was pitty.

“It’s okay. Your gonna be okay” tony said as he sat down next to me and rubbed my back. I turned to him and hugged him as hard as I could holding on for dear life and he instantly hugged back whispering kind words into my ear. Everyone kinda looked at Tony like wtf.

“Wait your Y/N L/N? My Peggy talked about u all the time” the girl smiled at me once I calmed down.

“Yeah. She was my best friend. I could tell you so many stories about the shit we got into. She was the best” I smile remembering Peggy.

“Wait your the agent who punched a Nazi omg your like my idol” a red head said and looked at me with admiration.

“Yeah well how could you not punch one of those guys after spending a week under cover. It was hard not to do it sooner” I smiled at her.

After that everyone just kept asking me questions and I learned everyone’s names.

“That’s amazing. No wonder you ran this place back in the day” Clint said.

“Yeah well all the men here were completely useless. Except for Howie he knew what he was doing” I smiled at Tony as he held his head high with pride for his dad.

“Yep I got the smart gene from him.” Tony said sitting back on the couch with a big grin on his face.

“Yeah you also got the cock sure gene too. You know he once bet me 20 that he could get me to sleep with him within the first week we met each other. I won 20 bucks that day.” I laughed at the horrified look on Tony’s face.

“Okay I didn’t need to know about my dads sexual life thank you very much.” He said as everyone laughed.

“Y/N?!?” Someone from the doorway yelled.

“Bucks?!?” I shouted with wide eyes as I ran to him. He picked me up and spun me around a couple times before putting me down.

“So I guess you know Bucky” Rhodey laughed.

“Aye winter boys got a friend” Sam joked as Bucky flipped him off.

“Y/n Babe what are you doing here. I thought you were dead?” Bucky said stunned.

“Yeah well I just couldn’t live without Steve so I had Howie freeze me till they found him” I said still smiling.

“Oh” he said his smile fading and his head hanging low like he knew something I didn’t.

“What? What is it? What aren’t you telling? Is Steve okay?”

“Yeah yeah Steve’s fine. He’s great actually... but there’s one thing...” he begins but he didn’t get a chance to finish because someone interrupted him.

“Y/N?”
