If you had to physically restrain Lindir from overworking himself, how would you do it? Elaborate.

I—well. My first course of action would, of course, be the path of peace. Reasoning. Diplomacy. A gentle reminder that he is, in fact, a living being and not a tireless, enchanted quill bound by duty alone. I would begin with carefully selected words, softly spoken, perhaps with a cup of tea placed just so beside his parchment, its steam curling upward in an invitation to rest.

If that failed (as it often does), I would attempt more direct intervention—closing the inkwell, gently prying the quill from his fingers, standing before his desk with what I hope is an expression of unimpeachable authority but is likely just thinly veiled distress.

Should that fail—should he, as he has done before, give me that placating smile while continuing to scribble away, knowing he is testing the limits of my patience—then I am afraid I must resort to more desperate measures.

And I am not above begging.

I will plead, my voice steeped in desperation, my hands clasped together as I implore him to rest, to take one evening, one meal, one breath that is not spent working himself into the grave. I will recount, in excruciating detail, every time I have had to intervene in the past. I will—if necessary—invoke Lord Elrond’s name, Glorfindel’s name, the name of any elf who holds sway over him.

And if even that does not sway him—if he remains steadfast in his folly—then I will do what I must.

I will carry him.

Yes. I will pick him up and remove him from the vicinity of his work by force. I have done it before. I will do it again.

Once, not so long ago, I found him still at his desk long past the candle’s last flicker. He had pushed himself beyond reason, his shoulders stiff, his head barely held aloft. I called his name—twice, three times—but received only a murmured, half-conscious response.

So I took matters into my own hands.

Gently, carefully, I gathered him into my arms, his robes pooling over my sleeves, his ink-stained fingers twitching in protest even as sleep threatened to claim him. And despite his mumbled indignation—despite the way he tried, feebly, to insist that he was fine—I carried him to his chambers and set him down upon his bed, tucking the blankets around him as one would a child.

He was asleep before I even left the room.

So if I must do it again, I will. Let him argue. Let him glare at me in the morning. At least he will be rested while he does so.

Hello, Momblrs, mumblrs,....

And who ever else may find this....

I'm not sure where to start out with all this, I'm not even certain if this will ever amount to anything. First off, I'm not a great writer, Actually I'm quite horrible at it but I'll try my best. Eventually I'll get around to introducing myself and my little family as time goes on through quirky little blog posts, rants, and some awfully amateur photography.😂 we are chaotic as I'm sure every house is and very dysfunctional, but I couldn't love life anymore as it is. You'll also find a collection of cooking recipes, home decor ideas, and whatever inspires me to feel like I may actually have anything together. So please, if this does actually become something, I hope at least one person can read it, laugh, feel better about themselves, and enjoy the stay.
