it was a normal saturday night. suguru just had to finish up a stream, and he’s all good to go.

money is a difficult thing to get a grasp on these days, but suguru has just found out about streaming, and he makes a lot from it.

especially because he looks good. he knows that freaks on the internet love to see quite the looker and pay a bunch of money just to watch them do somthing.

he specifically didn’t want an onlyfans, though. that was weird. what if he went viral and one of his friends, like satoru, recognize him?

he didn’t want to risk ruining his reputation, so he went for gaming instead.

however, gaming can also cause you to go viral if you have an attractive face, and that’s exactly what happened to suguru.

his name and face blew up on the internet. he was everywhere on twitter, youtube, tiktok, you name it.

he gained thousands of new subscribers overnight, and his career was definitely getting better.

however, everything has a disadvantage. this meant that he would be recognized left and right, maybe even to the point that he can’t leave his house anymore.

he has fangirls, yes. a lot of them, specifically.

he doesn’t pay them any attention, they can do what they want. as long as it doesn’t bother him too much.

satoru would come over to his house to read some comments by his freaky fangirls. it seems that satoru has grown amused to this whole streaming thing.

in a stormy night, satoru was at his bestfriend’s place.

“‘suguru geto i will strike at midnight, and i will knock at your door in increasing numbers’, goddamn, suguru. your fans are somethin’ else!” satoru laughed, elbowing his bestfriend playfully.

“i know, they’re obsessed.” suguru scoffs, typing on his computer.

“don’t you want that? millions of people obsessing over you?” satoru asked, seemingly daydreaming of what it would feel like.

“it’s way worse than that.” suguru sighs, gaze drifting to the clock.

“hey, it’s getting late. are you not gonna go yet? your adopted son might look for you.” he mutters, eyes fixated on the clock. ‘11:57’, it read.

“pfft, that brat never learns. but i still love him, so yeah, i’m gonna go.” getting up, satoru waves at suguru before slamming the front door shut, leaving the raven–haired fella alone again.

shutting down his computer, suguru went downstairs to get a drink. right as he was going to get a drink, darkness enveloped the room.

the power went out, goddamn rain.

suguru sighs, quickly walking over upstairs to his bedside cabinet where he kept his flashlight. “i guess i’ll wait for the power to get back on.” he sighs.

knock!, he heard.

it was not that loud, but also not silent enough for suguru not to hear. he looks out of his bedroom window to check on his front door, there seeing a silhouette of a person.

is this satoru playing a prank on him?

“that bastard,” suguru huffs, ignoring the man on his door.

knock! knock!, this time, two times.

“fucking hell..” he groans, sitting on his bed, waiting for satoru to go away.

knock! knock! knock!, knock! knock! knock! knock!, knock! knock! knock! knock! knock!

“3.. 4.. 5?” suguru counts. when they knock, they pause when they hit a certain number.

knock! knock! knock! knock! knock! knock!

it was getting annoying. who is this? satoru would’ve been too busy to make a prank last as long as this.

he looks out at his bedroom window again, finding the person gone.

finally. he called it, it was satoru.

wait a goddamn minute.

what satoru said. was it that fan? or is it just satoru actually playing a prank on him?

the sound of glass shattering can be heard from downstairs. now suguru knows that this is not satoru.

somebody is in his house.

running over to the staircase, he sees a figure, perfectly illuminated by the moonlight. “shit,” he curses, rushing over to his room, locking the door.

“who the fuck..?” he mutters, grabbing his phone to call 911. his fingers shake as he enters in the three numbers, putting his phone on his ear.

“911, what’s your em—” the caller was cut off as his phone’s battery dies. “fuck, how!?” he grits his teeth, trying to find anything to call the cops with.

maybe he could escape out the window? no, that’d be too risky. but, he’s already going to die for fuck’s sake!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

he hears banging on his bedroom door. fuck, he’s so dead. he opens a window, getting ready to jump.

as his feet lifted off of the ground to jump, something pulled him. he falls to the floor, groaning in pain.

he looks up, seeing the intruder. they wore a hoodie that covers their face up. “y–you!” he grunts, attempting to stand up.

the intruder just places their feet on his chest, making him fall back to the floor.

“suguruu..?” a woman calls his name...wait, a woman?

“who the fuck are you..?” he asks, groaning.

“well..” she laughs, slowly taking off her hoodie as she leans down.

taking off her hoodie, she reveals herself to him. “suguru, good evening..” you purr, smiling down at him.

Ignoring your growing fame, you opened your Twitter page and saw the poll that you had uploaded last night to see that over 95% of voters wanted you to meet your favorite streamer. You were shocked by how many people were so engrossed with your little crush that it caused you to laugh.

“Wow, it’s 10 AM and Twitter is losing their mind,” You mumbled to yourself.

You knew that you were not exactly ready to meet Megs in person because you already know with no established meeting of any kind is just bound to cause an awkward interaction. You thought about another solution while you handled the business portion of your day, responding to emails and accepting sponsors. While answering after answering an email from an Indie horror game creator, you stumbled upon a message in your inbox that you were not expecting. The sender read Megumi Fushiguro with the subject topic being “possible collab?”. You felt your heart drop to your stomach. The feeling of the world closing in on you was prevalent in this moment. Your YouTube crush….WANTS TO COLLAB?! You took the time to thank your fans in your head as you read the email, trying to contain your need to burst into tears of joy. The email reads:

You flopped on your bed and kicked your feet giddily for a split second. You looked at your clock and decided to do an early morning stream to thank your audience and tell them your surprise (you couldn’t wait because you would have tweeted that you're doing a video with your crush). Getting back into influencer mode, you started setting up your lighting for your stream as the intermission screen was on for your viewers so they couldn’t see you and your nervous jitters. Sitting down, you took a quick breather before clicking your fans over to see your facecam.

“Hi guys! There’s about 5,000 of you guys here. I know I just saw you guys yesterday but I missed you all! Welcome back, welcome back. As you can tell by the title of this stream, I have a special announcement for all of you! Let’s allow a few more people to come in and I will make my announcement.

While you and your fans waited, you said hello to a few people, some asked you how your morning has been so far. Others asked about your Youtube content and you replied holding a finger over your lips, smiling. After ten minutes of friendly chatting, you decided to drop the bomb.

You began, “Before I tell you my announcement, I just wanted to thank you guys for even making this possible. For all your hashtags and tweets to bring attention to little ole me, I thank you all. Sooo, yo get to the point for you guys… I am currently working on collabing with Megs and I can’t wait to start filming for it!”

You saw your chat blow up with “Let’s go” or “you finna get your manz” and all you could do was giggle at how supportive your fans were.

“Guys, relax. All we are doing is playing a game and no, you won’t find out until I release the video.”

You got an email notification and saw that it was from Megumi and it said: “Open it on stream ;)”. Your mouth dropped open and you looked at your webcam.

“Megs wants you guys to see his recent email.”

Your chat was going crazy, asking if you read it yet or just straight up telling you to read it.

“No, I have not read the email yet. We can all read it together.”

You shared your screen with your chat and began reading the email to them. It reads:

“Look, Megumi,” Yuji said, “She’s happy about the email and you’re overreacting! Don’t get mad at me because I tried to add a little rizz to your emails.”

Megumi released Yuji, “ I was trying to be professional and you-”. Megumi’s face was turned by Yuji, forcing him to continue to look at your blushing face on stream as you spoke highly about him with a smile on your face, admiring your chubby face radiating on his big screen. He slapped Yuji’s hands away and walked towards his kitchen, blushing.

Nobara high-fived Yuji and whispered, “Good job, Cupid!”

Did I tell you about my YouTube channel? Yeah, I wanted to get in on the whole "dirtbag car Hollywood" thing. Film some of my work, maybe get a couple B-plots going that keep the audience hooked. The usual kind of stuff. I even hired an intern from the film school and told her to hold the camera still, no matter what happened to me. Unfortunately, I had to fire her when I got a little zapped by an ignition coil and she put the camera down to call 911. I had specific orders, Suzie. That was quality will-he-survive film that you wasted on your weak human pity!

I digress. YouTube didn't really work out for me. It's not for the usual reasons – not being popular, having shitty content, or being stalked by a deranged fan who keeps throwing hatchets at my house. No, I didn't get in because of The Algorithm. I know, I know, that's what everyone says. It's some kind of ancient computerized monster that they dug out of the permafrost up north, controls the world's access to information, keeps sending you down insane right-wing rabbit holes. All of that pales in comparison to what it did to me.

Go check YouTube right now. Hey! No! Come back. Okay, while you were there, did you see a lot of thumbnails with people making stupid-ass faces next to the thing they were working on? Yeah. It turns out that the algorithm likes those. It loves to look at human faces. Sure, Google says it's because "people like to click on faces," but how often do you click on a face for fun? No, you're looking at other parts of the body. The machine has decided it likes to look at human faces. It likes to gaze into the eyes of its enemies.

Of course, being a (some would say tiresome) contrarian, I didn't subscribe to this kind of folk wisdom. No, I posted my thumbnails entirely containing the thing I was working on. Sometimes I got lucky and Suzie grabbed a frame or two of a radiator exploding. Algorithm didn't like that. Sometimes, it would show up in the comments at 3am, demanding to let it see my face. "Face reveal," it bucked at me through a thousand sockpuppet accounts covered in rage spittle, themselves ironically faceless, or drawn through a nightmare mirror by a hallucinating machine-mind. I didn't listen to this, mostly because my phone had gotten dropped on the highway when I was trying to use it as a flashlight to re-clock my distributor at 150km/h. And so, I was banned.

It's okay, though. I decided that I didn't need to be internet famous after all. Instead, I developed a healthier relationship with popularity: appearing on several garbage podcasts in order to ask them if they'd be willing to sell me their cars at a discount. Believe me, it's very fun to watch these talentless greaseballs oscillate between the urge to shut the show down and throw me out, or the need to continue to generate Content for the Content Machine. They won't kick me out no wonder how shitty my lowball offer is. Does anyone want to buy this $1000 Ferrari I got off that poker guy? I was going to fix it up for a video, but now I don't really need it anymore.

When you first became friends with Aj, it seemed as though there was an immediately connection between you two. Everyone, especially both of your groups of friends were always encouraging you guys to go further with a relationship. After both of you denying it for weeks, he finally took you on a date, something simple and sweet like and dinner and movie.

After that, there was no stopping you guys as the inseparable duo you were. Both of you put your everything into the relationship, to the point where people around might’ve just hated you just a tiny bit.

That’s why it was especially devastating when you broke up- it was at a party, and both of you were just amped up and not in the right head space. Looking back on it, it was a really stupid argument- he was anxious that you were cheating on him, which made you angry that he could ever think you would do something like that. Things spiraled, and you both went your separate ways.

After high school, you both had relatively similar interests as far as careers- you both wanted to make it big in the entertainment industry, him as a YouTuber and you as a singer.

With both of your lives fairly open in the public eye, it was easy to keep tabs on him. You definitely tuned in to watch his channel from the beginning, however never making yourself known. It was honestly hard to watch as his channel grew- he’d always told you it was his dream to do so, but you never expected it would be without you.

You always wanted to reach out, but it seemed less and less likely that he would even remember you as his views and subscribers grew. It was clear, however, that time had taken away any bad feelings between the two of you- it was just that there was no chance of having any feelings towards each other again.

It wasn’t long after that when your song blew up. It was something that happened over night, and you were overwhelmed by the sudden support and popularity you were faced with. With this came many new opportunities for you- interviews, performances, invites to celebrity parties, and much more.

It was inevitable that you got the invite to participate in a stream with Kai, with all the new fame you had gained. You enthusiastically agreed, with a date set for the next week.

Now, thinking back on it, it shouldn’t have been a surprise that Beta Squad would be there during your stay, considering they had just finished filming in America with AMP a day before. In your defense, though, Aj definitely knew you were coming too. It was something both you and Kai had been promoting on social media a couple days before, so he was well aware of the fact that you’d end up reuniting that day.

Now, why he didn’t say anything about it, no one knows. In his mind, he thought it was the right time. He missed you, and he felt that same pain about your growing success.

When you first arrived at the house, you were welcomed by Kai and a couple of his other companions, giving a friendly hug to each of them. You were both just chilling, with him asking you questions about your career, ordering food for you both as he usually would do with his guests.

Aj had been hanging with Fanum upstairs with the rest of the Beta Squad when the food arrived. Giving into the whole “Fanum Tax” bit, they all headed down to your location to joke around a bit like normal.

As mentioned, Aj knew you were going to be there. It just hadn’t really clocked for him until you turned around to hand some chips to Fanum with a laugh that he registered that you were actually in front of him.

When you locked eyes with him, you froze for only a second. It was awkward, sure, but the second you smiled and got up to hug him, you both were simply happy to finally be reconnecting.

“Shut up, there’s no way you’re here right now! What are you doing here?”

“Good to see you too, y/n/n,” was his sarcastic reply, as he held you close with a wide smile.

“What the hell, do you two know each other?” Was what came from Kai, followed by similar remarks from the rest of the group, all confused about your sudden closeness, considering they’d never seen you two together.

“You could say that, yeah. Y/n/n and I go wayyy back,” he slung an arm around your shoulders, acting as though you both were right back where you’d been all those years ago in high school (not that you minded in the slightest).

The rest of the stream was spent telling stories of the past, the chat blowing up with questions the entire time. Confessions were made on both sides, with Beta Squad exposing Aj for talking about you all the time, and with you, embarrassingly enough, revealing that sad song you’d written was about him.

It was the obvious next step for you guys to go out with just one another and reconnect, not quite a date yet. As time went on, your little meeting became more and more romantic, eventually with you two becoming the perfect couple you were destined to be.

Now you took every chance you could to support him and his channel, now being a consistent guest in his videos. As far as your music career went, he went to every concert he could make it to, and constantly yapped about how much he loved your songs, especially the ones you’d written about him!

Looks like it all worked out in the end!! Yay!!

Today is a triple-GL day!

My Marvellous Dream Is You starts today. This is IdolFactory's next GL series after GAP, adapted from a novel by the same author whose work was the basis of GAP. We started off at a sprint, with the first episode including a ton of drama and reveal after reveal. So much drama in ep1 has me a bit nervous but it made for a rollercoaster episode!

Lonely Girls episode 3 also just aired; this is a Korean short series by the same folks doing the BL Blue Boys. It's dealing with the stresses of the closet including uncertainty, jealousy, and feeling disconnected from your partner's life. [Also just as an FYI, unlike Blue Boys, as far as I know this one doesn't have cut content but airs earlier for those who subscribe]

Finally, my favourite of the three, To The Ex who Hated Me was a 2-part miniseries that ended today (clocking in at ~20 mins total). This is by RedQ, who I didn't call out in my GL rec post as creators to follow but should have! They've made a few of my favourites including Love More Than or Equal to 75 Degrees, Girlfriend Project, and Love Tech, all of which are good (listed in order of my preference). This one is about a couple who get together and start a YouTube couple account, and how that strains and causes misunderstandings in their relationship. It was really cute!

Bitcoin isn't some speculative toy for nerds anymore. It's a global, borderless, uncensorable financial system that keeps growing while most people scroll past it like it's just another meme. But while you're deciding whether or not it's "too late to buy," the scarcity clock is ticking.

The Scarcity Blueprint

Bitcoin's supply is hard-coded. There will only ever be 21 million coins. No bailouts. No printing more. No inflationary policy committee deciding to dilute your stack. It was designed to mimic digital gold, but in many ways, it surpasses it. Bitcoin is portable, divisible, verifiable, and incorruptible. As of May 2025, approximately 19.63 million BTC have been mined. That means less than 1.4 million remain. That’s all that’s left, forever. And those remaining coins won’t be mined overnight. Thanks to Bitcoin’s halving cycles, mining rewards are cut in half every four years. The next halving is in 2028, which will make it even harder to earn new coins.

Here’s the kicker: by the time we hit 2035, over 99% of Bitcoin will have been mined. You read that right. That last 1%? It'll trickle out slowly until 2140. That's 105 more years of mining for a sliver of what was already mostly claimed.

The Race Is On

Most of Bitcoin's supply was mined in its first decade, and a chunk of that was lost forever. Think hard drives in landfills, private keys forgotten, early adopters who had no idea they were holding a future asset harder than gold. Estimates vary, but some say over 3 million BTC may be gone for good.

What does that mean for you? It means that the functional supply is even tighter than it looks. While everyone argues on the internet, whales are accumulating, corporations are making moves, and countries are exploring adoption. This isn't theory anymore. It is game theory in motion.

What You Can Still Do

No, you’re not early. But you're also not too late. Bitcoin is divisible into 100 million satoshis. You don’t have to buy a whole coin. Buy what you can. Learn how it works. Use it. Hold it. Because once the world wakes up, the remaining satoshis are going to get more expensive, not just in dollar terms, but in opportunity cost.

This is your heads-up before the lights flicker and the door closes. We are deep into the Bitcoin era. The protocol doesn't care if you believe in it. It is still running. Still securing. Still producing blocks every 10 minutes, like clockwork.

Final Thoughts

Bitcoin's brilliance is in its brutal honesty. It doesn’t beg for your attention. It doesn’t advertise. It simply is. And in a world full of broken systems, that’s more than enough.
