"You need to dress warmly, Y/n. It's getting colder these days." Yunho tugged your scarf around your neck, making sure you were all bundled up.
You merely chuckled, amused at how much he cares for you.
"I'll be fine." You assured him.
"We have to walk all the way to the greenhouse for herbology. You should stay warm."
You gave him a reluctant smile, allowing him to adjust your scarf to where it would cover your chin.
"Okay." He gave a small nod of approval before linking arms with you. "Let's go. Don't wanna be late."
Leaving the warm corridors of the school, you stepped out into the chilly air. It was nearing the end of autumn and would soon be winter, though based on the bitter temperature outside it felt like the season had already arrived. You and your fellow housemate trekked across the school grounds, stepping over leaves that had long fallen off the trees, their color now a dull brown. The holidays were just around the corner and Hogwarts had rolled out the Christmas decorations, decking the entire school out in holiday cheer, the colorful array of twinkling ornaments and other baubles giving the castle a cozy feel. The Great Hall was the most beautiful with large Christmas trees throughout the room, holly and ribbons hanging along the ceiling, all topped off with white snow falling from above, the magical icy clusters not feeling cold at all.
The greenhouse came into view, you and Yunho hurrying over desperate to get inside and out of the chilly air.
"Good afternoon." Professor Sprout greeted you with her usual warm smile, her jovial personality shining through as always.
"Afternoon." You greeted, making your way further into the greenhouse, taking your place at the long table that stretched along the length of the greenhouse.
You and Yunho began unpacking your supplies, your fingers brushing against his by accident.
"Your hands are freezing." He commented, grabbing them with his larger ones.
A faint heat creeped onto your cheeks as he squeezed your icy palms between his, warming them a little. You were so focused on him, you didn't notice the other students filing in the greenhouse, preparing for class.
"Alright. Now that everyone's here let's get started." Professor Sprout spoke up, causing Yunho to release your hands.
You exchanged sheepish glances before the both of you turned your eyes away out of embarrassment.
"Since Christmas is approaching, I thought it would be fit for us to study mistletoe. As you all know, this parasitic plant is used for decoration, but you can also use it for antidotes for the forgetfulness potion and common poisons."
"Ha. Mistletoe." You chuckled softly. "How festive."
Professor Sprout proceeded to explain more facts about the plant, allowing everyone to examine the white berries on the herbage, cutting them open and grinding them for potions.
The greenhouse, though slightly warmer than the chilly outdoor air, didn't offer much heat for your cold fingertips. Suddenly you missed the warmth of Yunho's hands, wishing he could hold them one more time.
Professor Sprout filled the silence in the greenhouse by giving a brief history lesson on mistletoe, talking about how it was used as a holiday decoration in the 1700s, then she proceeded explain how wizards used it for potions, though at that point you started zoning out.
Her voice became mere background noise as your eyes lingered on Yunho, who was closely examining the leaves on his plant which was held between his slender fingers.
By some miracle, you managed to pull it together long enough to make it through class.
You rubbed your hands together on the trek back to the school, tugging your scarf up to cover your nose and shield it from the chilly gusts of wind that fiercely hit your cheeks.
Once back inside Hogwarts, you let the heat from the torches lining the hall to warm you up a little. Yunho noticed the way you rubbed your hands together, wiggling your fingers around a bit.
"Here." Yunho held his hands out to you palms up.
You placed your smaller hands in his and allowed him to warm them the best he could, though his fingers were pretty cold as well, but they were warmer than yours. Plus, you can't possibly pass up the opportunity to have his hands holding onto yours.
You chuckled softly at Yunho's appearance, noticing a tint of pink on the tip of his nose.
"What?" He asked amusedly.
"Your nose is pink."
"It's freezing too. Wanna feel it?" He teased, leaning in closely preparing to press his nose against your cheek. You were quick to pull away, laughing at him.
"Come on. Let's go to the dining hall and see if we can get some hot chocolate before our next class." He stated.
"That would be fantastic."
The both of you went straight to the Great Hall where thankfully you were able to get a hot beverage to warm you up, the drink doing wonders for you.
"This was a good call." You sighed contently, grateful that your friend had suggested the idea. "I needed something that would warm me up quickly."
He hummed in agreement, his face covered by the mug as he gulped down the chocolate beverage. Once he set the cup down, a small amount of whipped cream dotted the tip of his nose as well as his top lip, the sight making you giggle.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" He asked, knowing there was whipped topping on him.
"Come here." You beckoned, grabbing a napkin and cleaning his face.
Yunho's heart fluttered at your simple yet very effective actions. His eyes lingered on your face, taking in all your beautiful details, from your lashes to your soft-looking lips, his mind beginning to wander as he imagined what it would feel like to kiss them.
"Yunho?"
He blinked himself from his daze, humming in response.
"You zoned out. I asked if you were ready to go. We've got just enough time to get to class."
"Oh. Yeah I'm ready."
It was early morning, right around breakfast time and you were sat in front of the fireplace in the Hufflepuff common room with a letter in your hands and a heavy feeling in your chest.
The sound of feet shuffling along the floor above could be heard over the crackling fire before you, Yunho's voice following after.
"Oh, you got something from your parents?" He observed.
"Yeah." You sighed as he descended the stairs, taking a seat beside you.
"Must've been important if it was delivered straight to the dormitory."
"It was."
Based on your discouraged tone and small frown, whatever news you got wasn't good.
"What's wrong?"
"It's a letter from my parents. They work for the Ministry of Magic so they're really busy and it seems they're not going to be home much. Looks like I'm going to be staying here for Christmas."
Yunho frowned. He hated seeing you upset, even more so he hated that you would be stuck at Hogwarts over Christmas break instead of spending it with your family.
"Come here." He beckoned softly, pulling you into a hug, which you happily accepted.
His hugs were always the best. He was bigger than you, so being in his embrace always felt nice, warm, even safe. You've always joked that his hugs were magical because they always seemed to melt your problems away whenever you were upset about something.
Yunho rubbed your back soothingly, allowing you to stay in his arms for as long as you needed.
If you were forced to stay at Hogwarts over Christmas break, he would stay with you.
Or maybe...
He let out a sudden gasp as a lightbulb went off in his head, making him pull back.
"Why don't you spend Christmas with me and my family?"
You took in a quick breath at his sudden proposition, looking at him with a shocked expression. At your response, or lack thereof, Yunho continued.
"You can send an owl back to your parents and let them know you're going to spend Christmas with me."
You continued to sit there, your mind processing everything.
Spending Christmas with Yunho?
The idea sounded great, honestly. You'd be able to spend the entire break with your crush. What more could you ask for?
Judging by the hopeful expression on his face and the expectant gleam in his eyes, he really wanted you to accept his offer, so you did.
When Christmas break rolled around, you found yourself boarding the Hogwarts Express with Yunho and a suitcase of clothes and other necessities for your visit.
The both of you made your way into one of the roomettes, sliding the door closed behind you before moving to sit on one of the benches.
"Sit next to me, Y/n." Yunho patted the spot next to him.
Softly smiling, you moved across to Yunho's bench, seating yourself beside him.
"I haven't seen your parents in years." You commented.
"I'm sure they're excited to see you, especially mom. She asks about you a lot."
"She does?"
He nodded.
The train departed from the station a few minutes later, rolling into motion. You watched as the school got smaller and smaller the further away you got. Your heart started to beat a little faster at the thought of being with Yunho for two weeks at his home.
The snack trolley rolled by not too long into the ride making the Hufflepuff beside you perk up, an excited gasp leaving him.
"Y/n, do you want something?" He asked.
"Yes, please."
Yunho asked the lady pushing the cart for your favorite candy along with some of his favorites before she went on to the next roomette. It didn't take long at all for the both of you to tear into the sweets, enjoying them as you watched the trees and valleys pass by.
An hour into the train ride, you felt your eyelids begin to droop as a feeling of drowsiness slowly washed over you. Not wanting to fall asleep, you turned your attention to the view out the window and started watching the scenery, a vast field with mountains in the distance, each one a different size. Unfortunately, that didn't do any good and you ended up allowing yourself to rest your eyes for a moment, which of course resulted in you falling asleep.
Yunho's gaze was glued to the landscape outside when he felt a weight on his shoulder. Upon glancing over, he found you sound asleep, your body slumped over on him, head resting on his shoulder.
A soft smile of adoration tugged at his lips as he allowed his gaze to linger on you for a few moments, taking in your features up close. It was only when you stirred slightly that he averted his gaze back to the view outside, his cheeks slightly warm.
When he didn’t feel you move, he peeked over at you once more as soft breaths pushed past your slightly parted lips.
"Y/n. We're here."
You squeezed your eyes shut tighter, nuzzling your face into whatever you were resting on.
A deep chuckle sounded afterwards making you peel your eyes open.
Yunho was gazing down at you, eyes gleaming with amusement. It was then that you realized you'd fallen asleep on him, your head resting on his chest. This realization caused you to push yourself off him in a rush.
He only laughed, standing up from his seat.
"I'm sorry." You apologized.
"You seemed to be sleeping well, so I didn't wake you." He responded, offering you his hand. "Come on."
After a short taxi ride, you arrived at your destination, welcomed by strings of beautiful multicolored lights strung along the eaves of the house, the sight giving you a warm feeling in your chest.
You stepped into Yunho's cozy abode, the warmth from inside brushing against your cool cheeks, the smell of gingerbread and cinnamon reaching your senses.
"Come in, come in." Yunho's mom beckoned, ushering both of you inside. "It's freezing out."
Christmas music played softly throughout the home as you removed your scarf, your eyes roaming the house, taking in your surroundings. The feeling of someone tugging on your coat grabbed your attention, it was Yunho. You thanked him quietly, shrugging off the thick jacket and allowing him to hang it on the coat rack by the door.
"My Yunho, come here." His mom cooed, pulling him into a tight hug. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too, mom."
After pulling away, she turned to you with a warm smile. "Y/n."
"Hello." You greeted.
"I haven't seen you since you and Yunho were in fourth year." She gushed. "You've grown into such a beautiful young lady."
You muttered a shy thank you before she escorted the both of you into the living room, going on about how excited she was that you'd be joining them during Christmas break and how she had prepared snacks for your arrival. Sitting on the coffee table in the living room was a plate of small sandwiches, crackers, and sliced fruit along with two glasses of water.
"Sorry. She gets enthusiastic when we have guests." Yunho murmured, cheeks tinged pink.
"It's fine. It's actually really nice. I missed her hospitality."
Just then, the front door swung open and Yunho's father walked in, shrugging off his jacket.
"Are they here yet?" He inquired before glancing into the living room where you and Yunho were seated on the couch. "Ah. I missed the welcome party."
"We just got in." Yunho informed him. "You didn't miss much."
"Good, good." His father nodded, making his way over to greet both of you, asking how classes were and how you'd been—just the usual small talk. He then grabbed one of the tiny sandwiches Yunho's mom had made.
At that moment, she entered the room and caught him in the act, immediately scolding him.
"Those are for Y/n and Yunho."
"Alright. Sorry." He chuckled, heading towards the kitchen.
"Y/n, why don't I take your bags to your room?" Yunho's mom offered.
"Oh, you don't have to do that."
"No, no, I insist. You're our guest."
You didn't have time to protest as she grabbed your bag as well as Yunho's and left the room.
After resting for a moment and finishing the finger foods that were prepared, Yunho's mom offered to show you where you'd be sleeping during your visit. Yunho wanted to unpack his things, so he got up and followed you and his mom down the hall, not expecting her to come to a stop at his bedroom.
"You'll have to share with Yunho. I hope you don't mind." She mentioned, opening the bedroom door. "Don't worry, though. I've set up a mattress on the floor so everything should be fine."
"I thought we had a spare bedroom." Yunho spoke up hastily.
"Oh, I've been using it as a storage room."
Yunho's face got hot at the thought of sharing a room with you, but at the same time it was a dream come true. Back at Hogwarts the boys and girls dorms are separated; the girls' dormitory is charmed so no boys can enter, though it's not the same for the boys' dorm, which is odd—but you've never stayed overnight with him before, even at school, so this would be a whole new experience.
Your palms started to get a bit sweaty as you took in the information you were just given, your slightly wide eyes staring at the sight before you. Alongside Yunho's bed was a small, inflatable mattress with a few blankets and pillows on it. While it did look comfortable, it was directly beside the place where Yunho slept. Judging by the giddiness in his mom's voice, she was more than okay with the both of you sharing a room.
"Well, I'll let you two get settled." She spoke up and excused herself.
As soon as she was out of the room, Yunho's head dropped as he let out a sigh.
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine." You waved him off.
You and Yunho have been friends for years, sharing a room shouldn't be weird... it only feels that way because of your feelings for him.
"I'm gonna unpack. You can make yourself comfortable."
Yunho moved across the room to his bed where his suitcase laid, unzipping the beg before removing items from it. You started to do the same, taking a seat on the blow up mattress in the floor, taking out your toiletry bag.
"You can put that in the bathroom across the hall." Yunho mentioned. "As for clothes, you can leave them in your suitcase or I can clean out a drawer for you to store them in."
"It's fine. I can just leave them in here." You responded, not wanting Yunho to go to the extra trouble.
Once settled, the both of you were called into the kitchen to have dinner, which smelled so good. It had been a while since you had a home-cooked meal. Though, Hogwarts had exceptional food, there's something different about having something made at home.
"You really went all out." You commented, your mouth watering at the spread before you.
"Of course. It's Christmas, plus we have a special guest. It's the least I could do." Yunho's mom smiled warmly, pouring everyone a drink.
After a nice meal, you spent the rest of the afternoon watching TV with Yunho and his parents. Turns out they found amusement in muggle television programs and enjoyed watching them. You unexpectedly got hooked on a particular show, the ups and downs of the plot pulling you in immediately.
After watching a few episodes, you and Yunho decided to get ready for bed and settle in for the night.
You watched in mild amusement as Yunho arranged his pillows in a particular order, one lying flat in the middle and one propped up on the bed frame on either side. A chuckle slipped from you by accident causing the tall boy to turn, eyeing you.
"Sorry." You apologized. "I didn't know you had a system going."
"I do. My bed fits me well so I arrange my pillows like this, but in beds that are shorter where my feet stick out, I arrange them like this." He began shuffling the pillows around, moving the ones that were resting on the bed frame flat on the mattress lying vertically, giving him somewhat of a barrier on either side of his main pillow.
"I have to do this at Hogwarts since the beds are smaller." He mentioned.
It may be silly, but his specific pillow arrangements were extremely endearing to you. The way he had a whole system figured out based on the size of the bed was too cute.
He didn't seem to notice your love-filled gaze as he fluffed his main pillow, shimmying underneath the covers.
"Are you settled in?" He asked.
"Mhm." You hummed.
Yunho raised his wand in the air, using it to turn the lights out before snuggling down into his bed.
"Goodnight, Y/n."
"Goodnight, Yunho."
Getting to sleep proved to be a bit harder than you had originally thought. You were hyperaware of Yunho sleeping so close to you and that prevented you from getting relaxed enough to rest.
It's not a big deal, Y/n. You told yourself. Yunho is your best friend. You've known him for years. There's no reason to be nervous.
Minutes passed and you tried different positions, lying on your back, your left side, then your right side. Nothing was working.
Movement on the bed caught your attention as Yunho's head popped up, peeking down at you.
"If you're not comfortable, we can switch spots." He offered. "If it's me you're uncomfortable with I can sleep on the couch and you can have my bed."
The thought of sleeping in Yunho's bed under sheets that probably smelled like him drove you crazy, but the inflatable mattress was just fine, plus you didn't want to take Yunho's bed from him.
"I'm good." You assured him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. This is fine."
"Well, the offer is still there if you change your mind."
You murmured a thank you before rolling over, finally getting comfortable enough to go to sleep.
You woke up the next morning to Yunho shaking you awake.
"What is it?" You groaned.
"Get up. Hurry!" He pulled you to your feet, your knees nearly buckling, not used to all the sudden movement right after waking up.
Yunho wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you downstairs to the living room window.
"Check it out." Yunho gawked as he gazed out the glass pane.
"Wow." You gaped at the amount of snow that had blanketed the front lawn, the sight instantly waking you up.
"Oh, how pretty." Yunho's mom marveled. "You two should go outside and enjoy it."
The both of you exchanged glances, but before either of you could speak, Yunho's mom did.
"Go on." She gently ushered the both of you towards your room, telling you to bundle up. "I'll start on breakfast and you two go have some fun."
You had no choice but to do as she asked, going right back to Yunho's room.
"I'm so glad I packed warm clothes." You commented, pulling out a sweater and thick pants.
After layering up and putting on your coat and house scarf, you stepped outside hearing the many inches of snow crunch beneath your boots.
"That's one way to wake you up in the mornings." Yunho chuckled, his breaths coming out in puffs due to the frigid air.
"That's for sure." You shivered slightly, the icy weather flushing out the last remnants of sleep from your body.
"Come on." Yunho's gloved hand grabbed yours, tugging you out into the yard. "We should build a snowman."
"With all this snow, we could built three snowmen."
Yunho retrieved his wand from the inside of his jacket with a smirk. "You wanna try it?"
A knowing grin spread across your face as you pulled out your wand. "Let's do it."
With a simple locomotion charm, the both of you had large spheres of snow rolling across the lawn, getting bigger and bigger.
"Bring that one over here." Yunho pointed. "We'll use that for the base."
You nodded, moving your snowball to its designated spot as Yunho stacked his on top, using his wand to place the last and smallest sphere on top. In no time, you had three perfect snowmen built in front of the house.
Using your wands, the both of you gathered sticks and rocks to use for the arms and face for each snowman, placing them accordingly.
"These looks great." You beamed. "It's been  so long since I've done this. I feel like a kid again."
"Me too." He huffed out a laugh. "You think breakfast is ready?"
"I hope so. I'm starving."
"Come on." Yunho held out his hand. "Let's go."
Later that night, the air inside the house was cooler than normal thanks to the piles of snow outside. The double layer of blankets wasn't doing much to keep you warm, no matter how much you curled up or how high they were bunched around your neck.
"Are you cold?" Yunho asked.
You assumed he was asleep, so his voice startled you a bit.
"Just a little." You responded.
"Would you like to sleep up here? It's warmer when you're not close to the floor."
"I don't know. You've got that pillow fort up there, I don't think there's any room for me." You teased.
"I can always make room."
You were so desperate to get warm and Yunho's offer was very appealing, so you agreed.
Yunho shuffled around, adjusting his pillows as you got up off the inflatable mattress and joined him in the bed, which was noticeably warmer than your makeshift one on the floor.
You let out a content sigh, tugging the covers up over you.
"Better?" Yunho asked.
"Much."
At this point, the fact that you were sharing a bed with Yunho didn't phase you, in fact, it was the last thing on your mind. You were just grateful to be warm. Yunho shuffled a bit, giving you some extra space before rolling onto his side, his back facing you.
"This is so much nicer than that air mattress." You commented blissfully.
"I imagine it is."
"You don't have to be so far away." You told him, noticing the distance between the both of you.
"I just wanna make sure you're comfortable."
"I am. Come on." You tugged at the back of his pajama top, making him scoot towards you.
He kept his back facing you, too nervous to turn around. Yunho felt bad that you were cold and simply wanted to help out, but now that you were right beside him, things were starting to sink in.
"Goodnight." You murmured sleepily.
"Goodnight."
It was only when he was sure you were asleep that he turned around. Your cheek was squished against the pillow as small snores moved past your parted lips. His hand reached out towards your face, his slender fingers barely ghosting over your cheek. Yunho found himself unconsciously moving forward, his gaze focused on your lips. Before he could get too close, he came to his senses and pulled away, choosing to go to sleep.
It was finally Christmas Eve and things were in full swing at the Jeong household. Yunho's dad has just placed extra logs in the fireplace while his mom laid out all the sweet treats she had baked, going on about playing some board games later. Presents had been wrapped and placed neatly underneath the tree, each present with a different decorative wrapping.
"There's supposed to be some muggle
Christmas specials on tonight." Yunho's dad mentioned. "We should watch some."
"That'll be fun." You agreed.
"Oh, darn." You heard Yunho's mom mutter.
"Is everything okay?" You inquired, poking your head into the kitchen.
"I'm out of eggs." She glanced at the clock on the wall. "The store closes in half an hour. I need to go."
You and Yunho watched from the living room doorway as she hurriedly slipped on her coat, calling for his dad to come with her.
"You two will be alright staying here by yourselves for a little while, right?"
You both nodded.
With that, she pulled out her wand, both she and Yunho's dad apparating in the blink of an eye.
"I can't wait to get my apparition license." You commented.
"Me too. It'll be so convenient." Yunho agreed.
Letting out a sigh, you turned to face him.
"So, what should we do?"
Your question went unheard and unanswered by Yunho who was more occupied with something above you.
"Ah." Yunho glanced up with rosy cheeks.
Following his gaze, you spotted a small bundle of mistletoe hanging from the top of the doorframe, sucking in a deep breath at the sight.
"I'm sorry." He muttered embarrassedly. "My mom must've put that there."
The tips of his ears were a deep shade of pink while his cheeks were almost matching.
"It's okay." You shrugged it off, acting as if it wasn't a big deal to help Yunho feel a little more at ease even though you were internally freaking out just like he was.
Pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, you weighed your options. Either you could walk away and pretend this didn't happen, noting to avoid the mistletoe for the rest of your visit, or you could try and kiss Yunho and see what happens.
Before you could make a decision, he started to lean in closer, your breath catching in your throat.
Yunho's lips met yours, pressing softly as if to test the waters. Though there wasn't much force or pressure to the kiss, you could feel the pliant softness of his lips as they dragged slowly against yours before he pulled away, the lack of contact leaving you wanting more. Without hesitation, you leaned forward, reconnecting your lips. The action clearly caught Yunho off guard but he was quick to respond, his arms sliding around your waist pulling you into his broad chest.
Your mind clouded over immediately, the feeling of his mouth on yours was almost too much to handle, but still you wanted more.
You got your wish, because it was at that moment Yunho stepped forward, pressing your back against the frame of the walkway as he began kissing you more feverishly.
Your fingers found purchase in his dark tresses, tugging at his hair. He let out a grunt in response, pressing closer to you.
"Yunho." You murmured against his lips.
He pulled away for a moment, gazing drunkenly at you with half-lidded eyes.
"I like you a lot." You confessed breathlessly. "I have for along time."
"Me too." He sighed, leaning in to capture your lips with his once again.
Your leg wrapped around his torso, your fingers grabbing at the fabric of his sweater.
Yunho pulled away again, making you frown slightly at the loss of contact.
"You're so pretty." He stroked your cheek.
Your eyelids fluttered closed as you sighed out his name.
"I'm not sure how long your mom will be gone, maybe we should go somewhere else." You suggested.
"Say no more." Yunho began tugging you along through the living room and down the hallway to his bedroom.
The both of you collapsed onto his bed with a grunt.
"I think this was my mom's plan all along." He admitted.
"Me too. Maybe we should thank her." You chuckled.
"Maybe we should." He grinned, diving in for another breathtaking kiss.

Golden Hour
Tumblr media
Pairings: Park Seonghwa x OC! Katherine
Genre: Hogwarts AU, strangers to lovers(?), shy girl x popular boy
Summary: Park Seonghwa, the light of the Hufflepuff Common room, the Golden boy if you will. Popular, kind, handsome beyond belief. 1/8th of the rowdiest friend group to grace Hogwarts walls. And then there was Katherine, quiet, shy, a fly on the wall. Never seen or heard by anyone except Seonghwa. What happened when the popular golden boy falls for the quiet mouse of the school.
Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
Tumblr media
Seonghwa walked into the dining hall, surrounded by his usually friends. The loud booming voice of Wooyoung bouncing off the walls. His eyes slid over to the hufflepuff table, towards the end where his friend was sitting. As he said his goodbyes he joined his housemates, everyone saying hello as he passed by. He sat down next to Mingi whose head was stuck in a book. “Mingi you don’t even read this much for classes? What new creature did you find?” Hwa asked the younger boy. “Just refreshing my brain on the hypogriff.” Mingi said reaching for his glass of pumpkin juice. Not paying any attention, Hwa moved the cup at the last second before the boy could spill it. “Mingi at least look where your hand is going please.” He said setting the glass out of Mingi’s reach.
Seonghwa felt eyes on him and looked up, briefly making eye contact with a fellow housemate, she quickly looked away, tucking a strand of her long hair behind her ear. Mingi looked up and followed his friends eyes, “if you keep staring, she’s never going to sit down here again.” He whispered. Seonghwa looked at his friend, “what are you talking about?” He heard a rustling and when he looked back the girl was gone. “See. I told you.” Mingi said shoving a piece of orange in his mouth. “She’s an enigma. She only talks to a couple of the girls but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her outside of class.” Mingi continued, “and now you stared and scared her.” Seonghwa kept looking around the hall, she had completely vanished. “I didn’t mean to scare her. I just noticed her down there.” He said quietly, “what’s her name?” He asked. “I actually don’t know. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her speak.” Mingi said as he gathered his books, grabbing a pastry as well. “I have charms but I’ll see you later!” He said as he sprinted out of the hall.
As seonghwa finished up breakfast and headed towards the potions classroom he couldn’t shake the image of that girl from him mind. “What has you so lost in thought?” A voice called out, Seonghwa looked to his left and found Hongjoong strolling up beside him. “Nothing, did you finish the potions essay?” He asked changing the subject. Seonghwa knew his friend, and once he had something in mind he wouldn’t let it go easily. Better to not mention the girl at all. “Of course I did, can’t stay top of our class without doing the work Hwa.” Hongjoong said quietly. Just as Seonghwa went to answer he caught a glimpse of a girl in the corner of his eye. He turned towards her. It was her, she looked at him with wide eyes before quickly walking into the potions classroom. “Ah the distraction I presume.” Hongjoong said opening the door. “Shut up Joong.” He’s said as he found his seat. He quickly looked around the classroom and found you in the back corner, writing something and talking quietly with your table partner. “If you’re going to stare at the poor girl at least say hi before you scare her.” Hongjoong said opening his text book. Seonghwa turned around and leaned back in the chair. He was never going to hear the end of it from Hongjoong.
As Katherine doodled in her notebook her seatmate, Danielle nudged her “Park Seonghwa is looking over here.” She slowly looked up, sure enough she locked eyes with the gorgeous man. He gave a small wave, just then the back door flew open and the potions professor strolled in to begin the lesson. As Katherine sat there writing notes, she could feel eyes on her. Not used to being seen she forced herself to remain calm. She looked up at the board and could see Seonghwa staring at her. “Mr. Park, is there something in the back corner that is more fascinating than my lesson?” The professor asked, snapped Seonghwa out of his daze. “No, sir. My apologies.” As class ended Seonghwa had decided to approach you but by the time he had gathering his things and turned around you were gone, like smoke in the wind. “Better luck next time.” Hongjoong said steering Hwa out of the classroom. “She’s in your house. Just look for her in the common room.” He added. They turned the corner and found their group of friends sitting at the base of the stairs, “it’s like they have no life other than to wait on us.” Hongjoong said loud enough for the other boys to hear. Seonghwa laughed and made his way over. Not noticing the girl sitting at the base opposite stairwell, watching with an amused smile on her face.
Tumblr media
Seonghwa’s friend were a lot, as the eight of them had been stuck like glue since his 3rd year. He met Hongjoong his first year on the train, and they had bickered the whole way but now considered him his other half. There was never Seonghwa without Hongjoong and vice versa. They had met Yunho and Yeosang the next year. Quiet Yeo sitting with an excited energetic boy on the train had quickly asked Seonghwa to sit with them. The four of them became seven as Yunho’s childhood friend Mingi joined the next year bringing Wooyoung and San along. The train compartment getting louder and louder. People knowing them by name and teachers doing their best to separate them. Then the youngest joined. Jongho, And with him came a sense of brotherhood. They looked out for each other, and the eight of them were given the name Ateez by the other students. All in different houses but brothers just the same. He loved them more than he loved himself.
Except in this moment. When he would like to strangle Hongjoong for telling the others about his mystery girl. Whose name he still didn’t know. It had been a week and it was driving him crazy. “You saw her twice and didn’t think to ask her name?” Wooyoung said, voice echoing through the empty classroom. “No he was too busy staring at her to speak.” Hongjoong said with a laugh. “Hwa you know everyone. How have you never noticed this girl?” San asked. To be frank Seonghwa wasn’t sure how he had missed you the past 6 years he’d been here. He knew almost everyone in the school, or they knew him at least. He was the friendliest of the eight, besides Yunho. “She’s not in one of his fan clubs?” Their youngest asked, smirked at his elder. Wooyoung laughed, “ah is that still going on? I thought she would’ve given up by now?” Yunho rolled his eyes, “please Vivian would rather get through in the lake with the squid then give up on perfect golden boy over there.” Seonghwa scoffed, “she’s just friendly, she’s like that to everyone.” Yeosang looked at him like he had grown three heads, “Hwa I’ve met vipers nicer than Vivian.” Seonghwa stood up, tired of this conversation and grabbed his bag, “I’m going to get Mingi from the greenhouse. Are you lot coming or not?” Yunho stood up and stretched, “you coddle him too much Hwa.” Seonghwa rolled his eyes and walked to the door. “You do too, I just make sure he’s not losing my house points by being out after dark.” He closed the door to Wooyoung yelling, “don’t get caught by Filch.” Hwa shook his head as the door latched and made his way down to the greenhouse.
He was walking down through the courthouse when he heard a yelp come from the other side of the fountain. He walked towards it and came face to face with Katherine and Mrs. Norris, Filch’s cat. The latter had Katherine crouched against the side of the fountain. Books strewn everywhere. “Are you alright?” Seonghwa asked. Katherine looked up, eyes round. “Yeah the bloody cat just scared me.” Seonghwa looked a bit amused as he shooed Mrs Norris away from the girl. He crouched down to pick up her books. “Want to tell me why your crouched down?” He asked and he crouched beside her. “I’m not crouched.” She said back quickly. Hwa gave her a sideways glance. Completely enamored by the girl. “I went to stand up and the dumb thing was under my feet and I stepped on her tail. Scared me to death when her claw sank into my leg.” She said half laughing. Seonghwa processed her words, “your leg, is it okay?” Katherine shrugged, “I’m sure it’s fine. It’s just a scratch.” Seonghwa was not convinced, “it can get infected. You should probably go see madam Pomfry.” He suggested. “I’m not sure she’ll have medicine for half cat half demon scratches.” Katherine grumbled as she stood. Seonghwa laughed, standing with her, “madam Pomfry has everything. Woman is a miracle worker.” He smiled as she looked up at him. “I never got your name. I’m so sorry!” He said quickly. She smiled, “Katherine, or Kat. Whichever.” “Katherine” Seonghwa repeated, “yes?” She asked as she gathered her things.
Seonghwa felt his cheeks redden. Realizing he said her name just to see how it felt. “I can’t believe I haven’t seen you before.” He said quickly, grabbing her scarf from the fountain. “I don’t really make myself known.” Katherine said walking around the fountain towards the castle entrance. “Have a good night Seonghwa.” She said as she walked inside leaving him speechless staring after her. “What are you doing?” A voice said behind him, Mingi. Covered in dirt, holding a small potted plant. “I was coming to get you but I ran into the girl from the dining hall.” He said staring after her. “She’s in our house. You’ll see her again soon if you’d come on.” Mingi said as he yanked the door open. Walking through the hallways Mingi told Hwa all about the plants he’s growing and how madam Sprout is letting him take control over some of them. “Im proud of you Mingi. You’re doing really well.” Hwa said as they went through the portrait into the common room. Seonghwa’s eyes instantly searching for Katherine. His eyes found her curled up in an oversized chair with her eyes scanning a book, she looked up sensing someone watching her. He gave her a smile, one she returned this time and Seonghwa thought he heart was going to beat out of his chest. “You finally talk to her?” Mingi asked quietly beside him. Seonghwa just nodded and made his way up to their dorm room. “Her names Katherine.” Seonghwa said, still smiling. “You like her.” Mingi said, not as a question but stating a fact. “Seonghwa shook his head, “no I barely know her. I’m just intrigued.” Mingi just laughed as he threw himself on the bed, “you are so screwed man.” As Seonghwa laid in bed that night, replaying the conversation over and over again he couldn’t help but think that maybe his younger friend was right.

Patronus- Jeong Yunho (Harry Potter AU)
Tumblr media
[I don't own these images credits to the original owners]
SFW
Synopsis: Just a cute little piece of domestic Yunho and y/n but with magic. I've wanted to do a Harry Potter AU for so long so I decided why not write one with soft Yunho.
Contains: fluff, husband! Yunho, father! Yunho, Harry Potter terminology, Yunho is a professional Quidditch player because I say so
[Word Count: 2k]
Y/N had been slaving away in the kitchen for most of the morning, preparing a large meal.
Her in-laws were visiting for Sunday lunch and she wanted everything to be perfect.
Her feet ached from standing for so long and even though she knew that she could cut the time it took for her to cook and bake in half with the use of her wand, she was determined to avoid using magic. She'd always firmly believed that food should be made by hand and with love.
As she finally placed the two pies she'd been working on (one of her signature apple crumbles as well as a beautiful blackberry pie) in the oven she felt arms snake around her waist.
She was pulled back into her husband's chest and felt him kiss her neck. She chuckled and turned around in his hold to wrap her arms around his neck.
"What's up? Are you missing me?"
He nodded, "You've been busy all morning. You know you don't have to go through so much effort, my love. My parents love you and would probably be satisfied with meat, rice and that amazing kimchi you always make."
"I know; they've said so before but I still want everything to be perfect. It's not often that they come to visit us in England."
He cupped her face in one of his hands and pecked her lips, "I love you."
She smiled and pecked his lips, "And I love you."
He grinned and pulled her tight against him, leaning in to kiss her properly. She sighed happily against his mouth as she returned the kiss.
They kissed slowly and softly, just enjoying the embrace of their lover and the faint music that Y/n had playing softly in the kitchen to keep her motivated as she cooked.
He ended the kiss all too soon and kissed her nose and then her cheek as he began to slowly rock them to and fro in time with the music.
She rested her head on his shoulder and let herself be swayed, listening to him hum softly to the music.
Their warm, loving bubble was pierced by loud, high-pitched cries.
Yunho and Y/n both sighed heavily at the sound.
"Looks like someone still doesn't like naps," Y/n muttered.
"I think she just gets lonely," Yunho chuckled.
He gave his wife a quick kiss, "You finish up in here, I'll go and take care of Haneul."
"Thank you." Y/n gave him a grateful smile. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, too busy attending to their eighteen-month-old daughter who was still unable to sleep through the night. Usually, she and Yunho took turns to go and check on her but he'd been dead asleep last night and she hadn't had the heart to wake him. Being a professional Quidditch player was taxing sometimes, and he was always exhausted after matches.
Yunho left her to finish up in the kitchen and disappeared down the hall to their daughter's nursery.
It wasn't long before she heard the wails of her baby be replaced with giggles. She smiled to herself; Yunho had always been so good with kids.
She wondered what he'd done this time to get her to stop crying. Last time he'd Accio-ed a chocolate frog into the nursery and set it loose. Not ideal but Haneul had found it very amusing.
She set a timer for the pies and took off her flour-dusted apron before making her way to her husband and daughter.
She'd expected him to be doing something silly like making her toys float around the room like he often did but instead she was greeted by the sight of him sitting on the carpet with Haneul in his lap as his Patronus lit up the room.
She gasped softly as she watched the golden retriever bound through the air, tail wagging and mouth open with silent barks, casting a white-blue glow over the room.
It was beautiful and something she hadn't seen in a long time.
Haneul was mesmerised by the imagery and her little mouth was open and curved into a big smile.
Yunho was smiling too, looking between his Patronus and his daughter's face to watch her reaction.
She'd never seen his Patronus so strong and stunning. It had always been something he struggled with back in the day in school, earning him subpar grades in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
It had never been a case of struggling to find a happy memory; he just had too many and could never really settle on one to focus on specifically. He would flip through his happy memories as if turning the pages in a photo album as he cast his Patronus and the constant changes in thought as he struggled to focus on one specific memory would cause the Patronus to flicker in and out of existence or have it fighting to stay lit up.
She wondered what had changed. Had he been practising or something?
He spotted her standing in the doorway and blushed. His Patronus faltered and then dissipated as he lost focus and looked at his wife.
Haneul let out a squeak of confusion at the sudden disappearance of the doggy she wanted to play with and she looked up at her dad.
He kissed her hair, lifted her and rested her on his hip as he walked over to his wife.
"Hey,"
"Hey," She responded with a soft smile, "That was beautiful, Yu."
"I… Thank you." He scratched the back of his neck with his free hand, the tips of his ears red.
"And then? Why are you so coy all of a sudden?"
"Nothing. I suppose it's just been a long time since I cast a Patronus or since you'd seen it." He responded, bouncing Haneul gently on his hip.
"Why would you be shy about it though, darling?"
"I don't know… Your Patronus has always been so vibrant and unique, mine has never really been able to compete."
"Yunho."
"Yeah?"
"I'm not sure if you saw what I just saw but that was the most beautiful Patronus you have ever cast. You would have passed with honours in DADA with that creation."
"You think?"
"Yes, I do. And what do you mean yours could never compare to mine? Honey, my Patronus is a salamander, you know that. I think everyone would much prefer your puppy over mine."
She accompanied the last part with a chuckle and reached out to stroke his cheek.
He smiled softly at her, "But fire-dwelling salamander patronuses are so rare and beautiful."
She waved off his comment.
"I'm curious though, what's changed? You'd always struggled to keep your Patronus alight, but now it's brighter than half those nitwits we went to school with."
"I mean I haven't cast it since it happened but I found a new memory to focus on a few years ago."
"It must be a really beautiful one for your Patronus to manifest like that. Can I ask what you think of?"
His cheeks flushed slightly and his gaze softened as he looked at her. He always looked at her with such love and had ever since before they started dating in fifth year. It never failed to make her heart flutter.
"Our wedding night."
Her heart melted, "Which part?"
"Well, the whole thing I suppose. How beautiful you looked in that wedding gown and how I definitely didn't cry when I heard you say 'I do'. But also afterwards."
Her cheeks flushed. A certain someone had been conceived that night.
They both looked down at Haneul who was looking up at her parents with big doe eyes and her mouth hanging open.
Yunho looked up at Y/N again with a warm grin, "She is one of the best things to happen to us and I'm glad that we decided to have her."
She felt herself tear up, "Have I ever told you how much I love you, you big dummy?"
He gave her a cheeky grin and kissed her, "I don't know, maybe you should tell me again."
She rolled her eyes and gave him a quick peck, "Maybe later when your parents leave and a certain someone is asleep I'll show you."
"Oh?"
She ruffled his hair affectionately.
"Sweetheart, you've never told me what you think of when you cast your Patronus."
"Oh," It was her turn to blush, "Remember our first date to Hogsmeade?"
He grinned at the memories, "Yeah, we wreaked havoc in Zonko's before heading to The Three Broomsticks. How could I forget?"
"Well, I think of that. It was the first time you said 'I love you.'"
His grin widened as the memories came flooding back, "Yes! I remember. It was winter and your nose and cheeks were pink from the cold. You had taken a sip of your warm butterbeer and some of the foam stayed behind on your upper lip. You looked so adorable I couldn't stop the words from falling from my mouth."
She still got butterflies so many years later, "Our first kiss also took place that day. "
"Yup. I had to help you clean that foam up somehow.", He chuckled.
She leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
Their nostalgia was cut short when Haneul decided she wasn't getting enough attention anymore and started crying again.
"Oh no, don't cry, princess." Yunho moved her to let her head rest on his shoulder and rocked her in his arms. She was getting bigger every day but she still looked so small in Yunho's arms.
"Do you want mummy to show you pretty lights like daddy did?"
Haneul probably had no clue what he meant but the soft voice of her dad calmed her a little and she looked up at him through her wet lashes.
Y/N rolled her eyes, "Drama queen."
But she took her wand out from her back pocket nevertheless.
"Expecto Patronum!" She said softly but firmly. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to yell the spell out like your life depends on it, usually just being firm and having a strong intent works. Unless you're planning on visiting Azkaban anytime soon- yelling might be necessary there. Dementors don't discriminate.
No sooner had she spoken the words, a salamander appeared in the air in a brilliant blue glow.
It swam through the air and twirled as it did so, mock flames rising from it's skin. It was a pretty delightful sight. Haneul and Yunho thought so too, watching it with identical smiles and bright eyes. They looked so alike.
Haneul giggled and pulled Yunho's wand from his hoodie pocket. He took it from her just before she could stick it in her mouth. There were already a few teeth marks on the almond wood handle and his friends and teammates in his Quidditch team teased him every time they saw it.
He moved to hold her on his hip with one arm and held out his wand and conjured up his Patronus with firm words and a swish of his wand.
Haneul clapped her hands together in pure joy as Yunho's Patronus bounced through the air, silently barking as it chased Y/Ns.
Y/N couldn't help the laugh that escaped her as she watched her salamander scramble to get away from the big paws of the golden retriever.
Eventually, she started giggling so much that she lost focus and her Patronus faded away.
He stopped paying attention to his Patronus too, too busy lovingly gazing at his wife.
He wrapped his free arm around his wife, pulling her against his chest. He held both his girls in his arms and pressed kisses to each of their foreheads.
His little family would never lack in happy memories and he would make sure of it.

ATEEZ x Harry Potter Universe Masterlist
This is my take on what I think Ateez would be like in the HP universe. My little safe space since I'm back in my HP era and Ateez had their 3rd Japanese comeback.
Although I've been a casual reader for many unholy years, this is my first attempt at fanfiction. (Please bear with me, I swear I have some good ideas).
I post these on AO3 as well! (https://archiveofourown.org/works/54307042/chapters/137539711)
There will be updates to this post as my writing progresses!
Houses:
Gryffindor - Jung Wooyoung, Choi Jongho
Slytherin - Kim Hongjoong, Choi San
Ravenclaw - Park Seonghwa, Kang Yeosang
Hufflepuff - Jeong Yunho, Song Mingi
Student's introductions!
Who Was I Trying To Be?
Park Seonghwa
A student who goes relatively unnoticed among the new first years, but who is a legend to anyone who's ever crossed paths with him. With Music as his extracurricular passion, he weaves spells through enchanting notes, leaving a musical charm in the air. Enthralled by the cosmic wonders, Astronomy is his stellar domain, while Transfiguration becomes a stage for his enchanting transformations.
He might have been sorted into Slytherin for his ambition and determination if it weren't for his brains and creativity in music. He couldn't be happier to be sorted into Ravenclaw. After all, being in Slytherin would mean spending more time with Kim Hongjoong. Which is not such a terrible scenario when you look at it from a certain perspective. Except, for Seonghwa, it is. The cunning Slytherin boy may be adored and praised by all the students and professors. But Seonghwa can see right through him. He knows the real Kim Hongjoong, the one who is hiding behind a wall of hypocrisy, deceit, and deception.
Tumblr media
I Used To Hear A Simple Song
Kim Hongjoong
Charismatic and popular with students and professors alike, Hongjoong effortlessly walks the fine line between breaking the rules and avoiding the consequences.
In the world of magic, his favourite subjects - Astronomy, Defence Against the Dark Arts and the Study of Ancient Runes - reveal a wizard of many talents. Hongjoong's mastery of both offensive and defensive spells makes him a formidable force in Defence Against the Dark Arts, a reputation he proudly flaunts.
Adding a harmonious twist to his magical journey, music serves as Hongjoong's extracurricular escape. But amid his academic pursuits, an unexpected connection emerges. Seonghwa, the Ravenclaw scholar, harbors an inexplicable dislike for Hongjoong. In response, the Slytherin captain amuses himself by flirting playfully, turning the tension into a game of teasing. He continues to tease him every chance he gets. "You're so obsessed with me and my business.. do you have a crush on me, Cottonhead?" However, underneath the banter lies an underlying fear that Seonghwa might reveal Hongjoong's well-guarded secret.
Tumblr media
When Will You Learn?
Jeong Yunho
Jeong Yunho, the spirited Hufflepuff whose green thumb in Herbology and fascination with History of Magic paint a vivid portrait of his academic life. As housemates and best friends with Song Mingi, their camaraderie echoes through the Hufflepuff common room.
As a half-blood wizard raised in the enchantment of magic, Yunho's intrigues extend beyond the wizarding world. His love for Muggle Studies opens a door to the mysteries of Muggle life and inspires him to pick up a paintbrush in his spare time. In the realm of art, Yunho finds solace and inspiration by attending extra-curricular Art classes with his Gryffindor friend Jongho.
Despite Yunho's endearing positivity, a subtle undercurrent of forced cheerfulness raises questions. Mingi senses a veil over Yunho's happiness, a facade that conceals potential trauma. Just as secrets linger in the halls of Hogwarts, Jeong Yunho's painted smile hides depths that only time may unveil.
Tumblr media
Clever As A Devil And Twice As Pretty
Kang Yeosang
Kang Yeosang, the clever and mischievous Ravenclaw whose talent for Potions and Charms has earned him the praise of his professors. Yeosang's mastery of potions goes beyond the textbook, modifying recipes for his own ingenious purposes.
Along with his housemate Seonghwa, they are known as "the walking statues" for their dazzling looks, but Yeosang's appearance belies his true nature. Seemingly shy and innocent, he harbours a secret attraction to strong, muscular men, finding Jongho's strength in particular irresistible.
Encounters with Jongho in the school library and in their shared Potions and Charms class become the setting for Yeosang's subtle provocations. Beneath the facade of innocence lies a cheeky bastard with a sharp tongue that he only reveals to those he trusts - Seonghwa, Jongho, and Wooyoung. The trio are witnesses to Yeosang's unfiltered thoughts, though other students dismiss Jongho's stories as mere gossip.
As Yeosang weaves a wall of pretended strength and independence, a mystery lingers. Who, or what, will crack the Ravenclaw student's shell and expose the vulnerability beneath?
Tumblr media
And Then, The Bastard Winked At Me
Choi San
A reserved Slytherin pureblood, Choi San has a natural brilliance for the wind-focused magic that runs through his veins. Arriving late to Hogwarts and his famous wizarding family surname often precedes him, making him noticeable among his classmates. Despite this, San keeps a low profile. He entrusts himself to a select few, including his cousin Jongho, Care of Magical Creatures classmate Mingi, fellow housemate and quidditch team player Hongjoong, and an unexpected friend, Wooyoung.
Mastery in Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts is just the tip of the iceberg for San. His knowledge extends beyond the curriculum, leading him to invent his own spells and become a formidable duelist, hinting at sources of practice beyond the Dueling Club. His stress-relieving activities include tending to magical creatures in the Care of Magical Creatures class, where the calming presence of creatures such as Kneazels allows him to relax and spend time with Mingi.
San develops a friendship with Hongjoong and a friendly rivalry with Wooyoung in the realm of Quidditch. The Seekers clashing on the Quidditch pitch becomes a familiar scene, with victory over the Gryffindors adding a hint of satisfaction to San's reserved demeanor. Despite Wooyoung's fiery approach, San secretly appreciates the energetic balance Wooyoung brings to his life.
Choi San is still a mysterious figure in the murmurs of the Hogwarts hallways, his past and skills entwined in the mystery surrounding his ancestry.

How Dare You Insult My Frog?
Song Mingi
Song Mingi, the embodiment of Hufflepuff's famed loyalty, is entwined in the threads of friendship and magical creatures. As Yunho's roommate and childhood confidant, Mingi's heart is a verdant garden, cultivating both leafy greens and the bonds of friendship.
Mingi's personal gardening haven behind the Beasts classroom is a monument to his unwavering love of the enchanted and the natural, and it flourishes with his fondness for magical creatures. Mingi, who finds Yunho's love for Muggle studies inspiring, takes great care of his vegetable patch, with each plant serving as a testament to his meticulous nature.
In Mingi's world, loyalty to inanimate companions is as important as loyalty to friends. His cherished toad, Pocco, is a symbol of quiet companionship, providing a calm contrast to Mingi's own chatty and extroverted personality. Mingi and Pocco take evening walks near the school's boathouse, a tradition that Yunho can't help but find irresistibly endearing.
But Mingi's loyalty shines clearest for his friends, and he holds a special place in his heart for Yunho. From socks and quills to a lunchbox that has remained the same since their first year, the commitment reaches even to the little things in Mingi's life.
Mingi prioritizes listening to others, reaching a compromise, and looking for common ground rather than engaging in conflict. But Mingi's attitude towards Yunho and Pocco shifts, and he becomes willing to go against his morals in order to stand up for the ones he cares about the most.

Are You Flirting Or Starting A Fight?
Jung Wooyoung
Introducing Jung Wooyoung, the vivacious Gryffindor Seeker who embodies confidence and passion. A wizard with a heart as expansive as his daring maneuvers on the Quidditch pitch, Wooyoung's spirit ignites the Gryffindor stands with each thrilling match.
Off the pitch, Wooyoung's companion is Ned, a ginger cat who adds a touch of warmth to his lively personality. When not soaring through the air or studying magical arts, he works as a part-time cashier at Honeydukes, indulging his sweet tooth during shifts.
Wooyoung defies expectations by excelling in the intricate arts of Divination and Transfiguration. These challenging subjects showcase his dedication and intellectual prowess.
Yet Wooyoung's interest is drawn to the mysterious Slytherin, Choi San. Unfazed by his shameless flirtatious remarks, San's lack of interest turns into a powerful magnet that pulls Wooyoung into an interest that develops into a genuine friendship—albeit one laced with unspoken attractions.
But on the Quidditch pitch, their friendship turns into a fierce rivalry. San's skill contrasts with Wooyoung's competitive attitude, and each defeat fuels his will to succeed. The Gryffindor is passionate and short-tempered, and he shows it. Especially when he sees San smirking subtly, acknowledging the Slytherins' victory.

The Smell Of Books Is Eminent
Choi Jongho
Choi Jongho brings an unexpected twist to the Gryffindor stereotype, defying the expectations placed upon him by his prestigious wizarding family. Contrary to the assumptions that came with his famous surname, Jongho embraced the scarlet and gold of Gryffindor over the green and silver of Slytherin. Despite his parent's disapproval, Jongho chose to follow his own path, shattering his family's hopes of raising another Quidditch champion.
Despite his strong build suggesting Quidditch skill, Jongho turns down the offer due to the attraction of Divination, Charms, and Potions. He was bound to conflict with his family because of his academic decisions and lack of interest in the family's obsession with blood purity. Unfazed, Jongho considers severing ties if his family doesn't agree with his chosen path.
Beneath his tough exterior lies an obsession with Yeosang, a particular Ravenclaw. While Jongho may seem uninterested, he is drawn to Yeosang's intriguing aura. Their paths cross in classes and late-night library sessions, offering a challenge that Jongho - who loves challenges - simply cannot refuse.
Even though Jongho may seem intimidating, his outspoken nature belies a passion for the arts known only to a select few, including his classmate Yunho and fellow Art class companions. Rather than flaunting his skills, Jongho prefers to quietly master his artistic pursuits, adding another layer to the Gryffindor who chose to paint his own bright future.

gamer yunho pt.2.
♏️ nsfw link, smut?
Tumblr media
You're visiting your boyfriend, Yunho, at the dorms. You both watched some Harry Potter and ate delicious food, when his friends asked him if he could play Valorant with them. He asked you firstly if it's okay with you that he plays a little, to which you noded and with a little kiss on the nose, he got off the bed and started playing with his friends.
It's been 3 hours, and you're bored.
So you sneakily got to his desk when he wasn't paying attention, got under it, and found yourself between his legs. Carefully, you started stroking him over his sweatpants to get him hard. At first, he didn't think much of it until he felt cold air on his dick. Looking down quickly, he saw you smirking and taking his dick in your hands. You stated licking him from his balls up to his pretty pink tip, and since he was mid game, he could not do anything. Then you started sucking him while also stroking the rest of his length since he is big. He tried so hard not to moan, but you took him by surprise by deep-throating him, and he let out a moan. His friends asked him what's wrong and he said that his leg was cramping.
Such a liar.
You felt him twitching in your mouth, so you started licking and sucking more, deep-throating him a few more times until he came in your mouth. You picked him clean, and swallowing all of his cum. He loved the sight, and luckily for him, the game was soon to be over. Before you could get back to the bed where you were, you felt a strong grip on your hand, turning your head back, you see Yunho smirking.
"And what made you thought you could get away with this, darling? Being so naughty, sucking me off like that and making me hold myself back... do you know what bad girls like you deserve?" He asked.
You gulped. "P-punishment..."
"Exactly. Now bend over my desk."
You did as he said, bending over his desk, anticipating what he thought of...and suddenly, he spanked you...and he spanked you hard. He quickly took your clothes off, underwear along with it, sat back on his chair and admired his view for a while. He started glazing his delicate fingers along your folds, slowly adding one in you, making you squirm. Pumping his finger, he blew cold air on your cunt before licking you and greedily eating you out. You knew how much he loved it, having his mouth on you, savouring your taste and ravising you. Distracted by his sucking on your clit, he adds another finger, making you moan.
"Ah, Y-yunho.."
"That's it darling, let me hear who's making you feel good."
"Y-yun..." you couldn't hold it in, the sensation of him doing wonders on your clit, while hitting the sweat spot I side you made your brain turn into a mush. "Yunho, I'm gon-"
"Come on my face and fingers baby, I know you want to."
And with him encouraging you, you came and he cleaned up all your juices... but without a warning, he inserted himself in you, making you scream from pleasure.
"That's what sluts get when they're naughty. They get fucked. Rough. Hard. Merciless. "
You couldn't even respond back, you were just a moaning and screaming mess for him, as he had you roughly fucking while being bent over his desk. He quickly turned you around, making sure you're on the bed, laying nicely on your stomach as he inserts himself back in you, hitting that sweet spot with every stroke. You were seeing stars and were sure the boys can hear how loud you're being now.
"That's it slut, take my dick like that. Your cunt is so greedy, sucking me in like that, squeezing around me. I'm gonna fill you up, watch it leak out off you and fuck that cum back in, and watch it leak out once more."
His world made you moan, as you feel his dick twitching inside you, warming you up and filling you up full with his cum. He smacked your ass and watched his cum leak out, picking some up with his dick, he fucked his cum back in you, just to smack you other ass cheek and watch it leak out again.
"You good baby? Feeling alright? I wasn't to rough, was I?" He asked, looking at you with his big pretty puppy eyes.
"I'm fine Yuyu, I'll probably be sore in the morning. You were great sweetie." You reassured him and gave him a kiss.
"Good, let's get cleaned up and we can go back to watching movies. How does that sound?"
"Sounds perfect, let's to that."

i’m having a fancall with yunho soon, do you have any tips? 😅
First of all- congratulations and I'm jealous and you have to come back here and tell me how you go because I want to hear every single detail!!!
Any tips? Yeah, first of all- be yourself and embrace the moment because I'm sure those 3 minutes go by fast and you want to soak up every moment you possibly can have with him.
Pls send me a video of it if you want too in my DM's because I'd love to see if my depictions of him are accurate. Okay but my tips are: - If you want him to think you're pretty, do your make-up and hair in a girly/princess/coquette style manner...
One girl in a fancall with Yunho had butterfly clips in her hair and Yunho commented and said he loved the butterfly clips and she looked so cute.
It's okay to be a little bit shy and giggly because it satisfies his ego to have Atiny's gush over him and be impacted by his presence.
His Gemini Moon means he values nostalgia so maybe talk about spiderman or harry potter or ask questions about his performance.
And of course, he is the most possessive member of Ateez so if your mind is frozen and you don't know what to talk about.
Just gush and rave about how he's your favourite and why he's your bias.
You better come back here and give me tea after your fancall- I'm expecting it after giving you inside information haha

Summary: You were enjoying a peaceful moment in the cafe when a man came to sit across from you at the table. Something in you changed. Pairing: Yunho x fem!reader Tropes: meet cute, nonidol au, strangers to something more Genre: fluff Rating: PG Warnings: language Word Count: 794 Note: for @cultofdionysus language of flowers event! Thank you to @anyamaris for proof/beta reading! Prompt: Magnolia - Natural
Tumblr media
This is one of your favorite places. Being in this small little hole-in-the-wall cafe, peacefully crocheting while enjoying the low, peaceful music. Not many people know about this place. The Magnolia isn’t a known place, even by locals, even if it is on a rather busy street. That being the case, there isn’t much seating. You’re sat in the back corner of the establishment, and the lull of the employees talking and the music easily puts you into the zone with your current project.
“Excuse me?” Someone calls.
Looking up, you see a young man, probably about your age, with a soft smile on his lips. You lower your project into your lap and give him your full attention.
“Hmm?” You hum in response.
“Is this seat taken?” He questions, gesturing to the chair across from you.
You shake your head, “No, it’s all yours.”
The chair scrapes against the hardwood flooring as he pulls it out. You go back to your project, fully ready to get lost in your work again. Then, in your peripheral vision, you see him pull out a book along with a pencil. The book isn’t academic, though; it’s a copy of the first Harry Potter book.
“First reading?” You question, not looking up from the yarn in your hands.
“Hmm?” He hums back, “Oh, no, it’s not I just wanted to reread it and annotate this time. What are you making?”
“Just a scarf. Nice and straightforward. I know it’s almost summer but I might as well get ahead of schedule with making things my family are bound to ask me for in a few months.”
“I like the yarn color. Baby blue is a good color, especially for winter.” He comments, “I’m Yunho.”
You look up from the yarn and smile at him, telling him your name in return. You start humming to the song as you crochet again. Yunho mumbles lightly when he places the book down and starts underlining a large section of the page. Giggling, you look up from the yarn again.
“Something you didn’t notice before?”
“No, I just fucking hate the Dursleys.” He grumbles, jotting down a little comment in the margins of the book.
“They had their reasons, though.” You comment.
He sighs, “I suppose so, but they did abuse the poor kid.”
“Yeah,” you nod, “but when you realize they did the things they did overcompensate the wish to protect Harry, it makes more sense. It doesn’t excuse their behavior in any way, but it does make sense.”
Yunho sits back in his chair and sighs, “You read the whole series?”
“Of course,” you chuckle, starting to work on your scarf more, “I read it when I was little, and I read it as an adult, too.”
“Any commentary on how useless Dumbledore was?”
“At first, he was useful…” you start, still crocheting as you speak, “By the end of the series… I’m still trying to figure out why he was letting kids and teenagers do his bidding. That doesn’t make any sense at all. There are plenty of adults who are more trained in magic, and he was literally the wielder of the elder wand… he could’ve done so much to prevent things.”
You and Yunho continue to chat about the book series and the gripes you each have with it. From there, your conversations branch off into other books and further into topics outside of literature. Speaking with this man you just met seems so natural, as if you were in your own novel and were destined to meet this man on a random day in a small little cafe. By the time you finish your scarf, you realize that it’s drawing close to evening. Looking at the time, you let out a puff of air. Yunho seems to have noticed your slightly upset state.
“You okay?”
“They’ll be closing soon… Probably means we should both be heading out.”
Yunho sighed, pursing his lips, “You know about the little restaurant downtown?”
“Which one?”
“It’s small. Not many people know about it. Kinda like this place. It’s called Lavender Forget-Me-Not…” He chuckles, “This town really loves flower-named establishments, huh?”
“I suppose they do.” you match his sentiment, “Is that an offer to go together?” You tease slightly.
Yunho chuckles, scratching the back of his neck, “Is it too presumptuous to offer that?”
You shake your head, “Absolutely not. It’s a date.”
You put your yarn and finished project in your tote bag before standing up. Yunho follows suit, tucking his book under his arm. Even if you met this man a few hours ago, it all feels so natural to be around him and spend time with him. This could go somewhere, and you can’t wait to find out.

Golden Hour- Part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Katherine walked down the corridor towards her charms class, everyone turning to stare as she went by. She knew they weren’t staring at her so much as who accompanied her. Seonghwa and Hongjoong beside her chatting about Sans upcoming quidditch match for Gryffindor. Wanting to support him but not wanting to go against their houses. Katherine had never really cared for quidditch, flying scarring her. Seonghwa nudged her arm jostling her out of her thoughts, “you alright there kitty Kat?” Hongjoong asked, using her now least favorite nickname. “Yeah sorry just stuck in my head.” She mumbled. Seonghwa went to ask when Vivian stopped them in their tracks. “Seonghwa, Hongjoong, how are you?” She purred, hand running down Seonghwa arm. Seonghwa took a subtle step back out of her reach, making Hongjoong snicker. “Couldn’t wait to corner him in the classroom Vivian?” Hongjoong asked making Katherine laugh. Trying to cover it up with a small cough Vivian whipped her head towards her. “And what do we have here? A new little tag along?” She said maliciously. She turned back towards Seonghwa who was staring at Katherine oblivious to the girl in front of him. Hongjoong saw the anger rise to Vivian’s face. “Alright let’s get to class. Never a pleasure Vivian.” He said and he walked around her dragging Seonghwa with him. Seonghwa reached back and grabbed Katherine’s hand and she suddenly found herself being pulled down the corridor by the boys. Vivian glaring at her back.
As they settled it class, Katherine went to the back desk with Danielle, “you did not just stroll in here with Park Seonghwa and Kim Hongjoong!” She exclaimed. “Shhh Dani keep your voice down!” Katherine said, trying to calm her friend down. Seonghwa looked back with a smile on his face making Katherine blush. “Kat you are falling for him!! Oh my gods!” Katherine slapped her hand over Dani’s mouth, “Danielle shut up please. I am not falling for Park Seonghwa.” She said quietly, rolling her eyes. Her friend’s demeanor saddened, pushing Kat’s hand away, “would it be so horrible Kat? He’s a nice guy and clearly he likes you.” She said quietly. “I am not trying to have everyone up my butt because of him, Vivian knowing I exist is bad enough Dani.” She said as she pulled out her textbook. Dani’s eyes grew wide, “Vivian said something to you?” She whisper yelled, “shhhhh Dani please!” Katherine pleaded, “she called me a Tagalong and ignored me to flirt with Seonghwa but yes she noticed my existence.” Katherine explained, “what did Seonghwa do? Did he say anything to her?” Dani asked quietly as the teacher strolled in. “No why would he?” Katherine responded.
The two girls so lost in conversation didn’t see the two boys staring at them, “they are definitely talking about us.” Hongjoong said with a smirk looking at his friend whose eyes were fixed on the pretty brunette. “You are so down bad Hwa.” He said shaking his head. “One day Joong you are going to meet someone and she’s going to wreck your world and hopefully your ego. And I will happily stand by and let her do it.” Seonghwa said turning back towards his friend. Hongjoong rolled his eyes but kept an eye on the girl in the back, not liking the way Vivian had looked at her earlier. The viper was brewing something. He could feel it and it involved Katherine. He turned his attention back to the lesson, noticing Seonghwa’s frequent glances back towards the girl. He chuckled to himself. His friend had completely fallen for this girl and didn’t even know it. He couldn’t wait to tell the six other friends about it.
Tumblr media
Katherine was sitting in her favorite chair in the library when she heard multiple footsteps walking towards her. Looking up she met eyes with Seonghwa, Hongjoong at his side per usual and the rest of Ateez behind them. “Look it’s our favorite KittyKat.” Hongjoong exclaimed as he sat down in front of her. Katherine looked at Seonghwa, she looked so cute with her head slightly cocked, a confused look across her face. “You looked lonely and Wooyoung wanted to meet you.” Seonghwa explained sitting down beside her. She nodded then looked at the rest of the guys, seeing them all in passing but ever actually speaking to them. “So you’re the pretty little huffle that entranced our Hwa.” One of the boys said with Cheshire Cat like grin on his face. “You don’t even know what entranced means Woo.” One of the others said moving him aside to sit beside Hongjoong.
Wooyoung as it seems had mock hurt on his face. He smacked the back of the boys head as he stepped over them to come stand on Katherine’s other side, leaning against the chair she was in. “I’m bullied constantly here kitty Kat.” He said looking down at her. She gave a tight lipped smile, “sounds tragic.” She turned back towards her book trying not to focus on the seven pairs of eyes on her. “If you’re going to stare at her and make her uncomfortable you guys can go.” Seonghwa said lowly. “It’s fine Seonghwa.” Kat started, “you’re a terrible lair Katherine. If they are bothering you they can leave.” He said noticing how tightly she was gripping her book, her knuckles almost white. “We can go. There’s a book I need to find and I have no idea where it’s at.” Hongjoong replied, “they can help me look.” Seonghwa gave him a grateful nod, knowing his best friend was lying. There wasn’t a book in the library the boy didn’t know. They all said their goodbyes and left Seonghwa alone with Katherine.
He smiled at her as he pulled out his Charms book and paper. “They mean well.” He said with a smile. “I know they could’ve stayed.” She answered not looking up from her book. Her grip had loosened on it slightly. “You’re about to snap your book in half Katherine.” He chuckled, “I can go if me being here stresses you out.” She looked up at him, eyes wide, “I don’t mind that you’re here, we can do our potions essay if you haven’t started it?” He nodded, just happy she wanted him to stay. “I haven’t yet.” They worked on their essays, side by side until Hongjoong came back, “Hwa we’re going to head out. Maybe go for a walk by the lake.” Seonghwa nodded, turning towards Katherine. “Do you want to join?” He asked, she looked up at him then at Hongjoong who lifted an eyebrow as if he was dating her to come. She emailed at him, “some fresh air might be nice.” She turned her eyes towards Seonghwa and his face lit up, Hongjoong chuckled, “KittyKat is growing some claws. Wooyoung is going to have field day with you.” And with that one statement all confidence Katherine thought she had vanished. Seonghwa noticed the shift in her eyes, “it’ll be okay, I’ll talk to him.” She gave him a grateful smile as she packed up her bag. Walking towards the entrance Hongjoong threw his arm around her shoulder, “it’ll be okay Katherine. I won’t let Wooyoung torture you.” She moved his arm off her, “he can’t be any worse than you.” Seonghwa laughed, as Hongjoong face turned to mock hurt.
Tumblr media
Katherine followed the two boys out of the library and towards the exit of the castle, she heard the rest of the friend group before she saw them, recognizing Mingi from the common room she felt a little better but stepped a tad closer to Seonghwa’s side. The boy noticed immediately, heart fluttering at the movement. Wooyoung seeing them approach yelled out towards them, “finally find the love birds Joong?” One of the other boys smacked him on the chest, saying something quietly to him. Walking down the moss covered steps Katherine hesitantly reached towards Seonghwa’s arm for balance. Reaching back towards her he took her hand, enveloping it in warmth that went all the way up her arm. Something settling in her chest. She came to a halt in front of the boys, not moving to remove her hand from Seonghwa, feeling it ground her. “Cute” one of the guys said looking at their intertwined hands. “San if you get snarky like Woo, I’ll make sure Angel knows.” Seonghwa said a small smile on his face. Sans face turned an ashen color and he nodded and turned around, leading over one to the lake. Katherine nudged Seonghwa, “who’s Angel?” She asked quietly, her curiosity taking over. Seonghwa leaned down closer to her, “his best friend, she’s in gryffindor as well. They grew up together. She’s the only one he truly listens too.” He explained. Katherine nodded, maybe she’d get to meet Angel and figure out how she has handled all eight of the boys for years on end.
And they walked Wooyoung kept looking back at Katherine, but a glare from Hongjoong or Seonghwa would have him turning back around. He turned once more and before he could get caught Katherine spoke up, “you turning around staring every five steps freaks me out more than whatever could possibly come out of your mouth. So please just say it.” All the boys stopped walking, Seonghwa staring down at her in amazement, not only for putting Wooyoung in his place but for speaking up for herself. Which is something he’s not sure he’s ever heard her do. She looked at Wooyoung, eyebrow raised waiting for him to speak, “Katherine or Kat? Which one do you prefer?” He asked first, Katherine was slightly taken aback by the simplicity of the question. “Anything but KittyKat.” She replied glancing at Hongjoong who smirked at her. “Okay.” Wooyoung continued, “why are you so quiet? What year are you in? What’s going on between you and Hwa because you’re still holding hands and I’m the only one that’s gonna call you out on it.” She should’ve been grateful for the simplicity because the next three questions came at rapid fire and she wasn’t sure he took a breath between sentences. She replayed it over in her head before processing and glancing down at her hand still resting in Seonghwa’s, he squeezed it once letting her know he noticed but made no move to let go. “I like to listen more than talk, I’m sixth year same as Seonghwa. And that’s none of your business.” She replied. Seonghwa squeezed her hand again, giving her a smile as she looked up at him. When she met Wooyoung’s eyes again he was grinning, “I like her.” Seonghwa laughed and tugged her forwards to continue the walk. The rest of the time was spent laughing and chit chatting about school and quidditch, Katherine glad to be included and away from all the prying eyes of the other students.
Tumblr media
As the group made their way back up to the castle Katherine detached herself, hanging back slightly. Hongjoong fell into step with her, “what’s wrong?” He asked, his tone not having any of the typical cockiness in it. “Nothing.” Katherine replied, Hongjoong turned his head and looked at her, “Katherine.” She looked at him, not used to hearing her name and not the awful nickname falling from his lips. Everyone else stopped and turned at the sound of their friends voice. With all eight of them staring solely at her she felt herself turning red. “Yall go ahead I’m gonna stay out here a while longer.” She said as she turned and raced back down the steps. The seven guys turned towards Seonghwa expecting him to go running after her, “are you going to go get her or not?” Yeosang asked gently. Seonghwa considered it, debating if she’d really want him to come or not, “I’ll see you guys later.” He said as he raced towards Katherine’s direction. “I told yall he was whipped for her.” Hongjoong said watching his best friend go. “She suits him, and I like her.” Jongho said as he turned and walked into the castle.
Seonghwa found you under a tree sitting down, head in your hands. “Katherine?” He asked crouching in front of you. “Are you okay?” She looked up at him, her eyes red. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to run off. It was just a lot and I got overwhelmed.” Seonghwa stories her, running his hands hesitantly up her back, “you don’t have to apologize if it was too much. I’m just glad you’re okay.” She leaned into him just an inch but Seonghwa knowing pulled her closer to his body. “Do we scare you that badly?” He asked quietly, a little amusement in his voice but when Katherine looked at him there was only concern. “No I just have bad experiences getting close with people and it’s scary trying to do it again.” She said quietly before adding, “I don’t like talking about it.” Seonghwa nodded, “okay let’s just sit here then.” “Thank you.” She said. Katherine leaned back against the tree, Seonghwa’s arm still around her feeling safer than she had in years.

my masterlist
~~
The rain was especially thunderous tonight. You tossed restlessly your bed for the fifth time and stuffed another pillow above your head. Still, sleep was evading you. The water hit the window of your dorm in Ravenclaw tower like shards of ice, and the lighting that briefly illuminated the room cracked against the back of your eyelids in bright white flashes.
You had barely managed to slip into some halfway place between consciousness and unconsciousness when raised voices could be heard from the common room, five flights below you. The sudden unexpectedness of people talking so loud at 1 in the morning set your heart racing, but you tried to ignore it. This became impossible however when the sounds of footsteps started echoing down the stairs and doors opening up and down the tower woke you up completely.
Your friend Hongjoong grumbled some gibberish and turned over one of the four empty beds in your dorm. You were lucky enough to only have two roommates this semester, making only three girls to the dorm that could house five, but one of them had snuck into the Hufflepuff dorms to stay with her boyfriend like she usually did and the other had gone home for the weekend due to some family emergency.
You didn’t mind him crashing because Hongjoong was the ideal roommate. He was usually in the library all night, and whenever he was actually in the room, he was mostly organized and quiet. It wasn’t allowed of course, so the rule breaking aspect of the whole situation did stress you out sometimes, but honestly, Hongjoong was smart enough to not be caught, and by extension, he was smart enough to not get you caught either. Hell, he had even managed to counteract the charm that made the stairs turn into a slide whenever a boy tried to climb them. It still made you laugh when you thought about the reason why he had been pushed to break a thousand-year-old enchantment like it was child’s play. Usually, he had his best friend Seonghwa from Slytherin give him a broom ride up to Gryffindor Tower to crash with San and Wooyoung Seonghwa and Jongho absolutely refused to put up with Hongjoong’s manic hours and general chaos, and Yeosang, Mingi, and Yunho in Hufflepuff always felt a little bit too far out of the way to your friend. But, Gryffindor had beat Slytherin in Quidditch two weeks ago, and ever since then, Seonghwa had refused to take Hongjoong up, lest he suffer more of San and Wooyoung’s bullying. You had the whole room to yourself most of the time, so you were quick to oblige your best friend. Catching a glimpse of Seonghwa on the few occasions he would bring Hongjoong up before he broke the charm that impeded his entry into the Tower was also the highlight of your life.
Hongjoong barely slept, but when he did, it was like the dead. You tossed him a worried glance as the voices outside got louder, before quickly rushing to the door and peeping your head out. You looked about in bewilderment as everyone from the girls’ tower seemed to be leaving their rooms.
“What’s going on?” Nobody seemed to have an answer, “I have no idea,” “Can’t be anything good this time of night,” “I hope we’re not in danger? Quick, let’s run through some defensive spells just to be on our toes-” You turned to the left to see the prefect was making her way back up the stairs against the throng of traffic moving down. “Everyone, please make their way to the common room! No running, please. Stay calm. I’m just making sure we didn’t miss anybody; please continue to the common room. Professor Flitwick will be here in a few minutes to explain what’s going on!”
Your heart started to pound again, as you rushed back into your room. Why would she tell everyone to stay calm unless there was a very real reason to panic? You threw Hongjoong’s discarded niffler plush at his head as you rushed to put on some shoes. He gasped, sitting up. “What was that for?” He was glaring at you, pushing hair out of her eyes.
“Get up; we have to go, right now.” His eyes fully opened at the restrained tension in your voice. He turned to the door to see the rest of your Housemates rushing past and quickly got up. “I assume the situation at hand is not us getting in trouble for breaking some antiquated patriarchal rules,” he smiled at you weakly, trying to ease the tension.
“No,” you responded wryly. “I really don’t think they’d evacuate all the Ravenclaw girls to give them a lecture about you and I breaking one teeny tiny rule. That everyone breaks anyways!” You had joined the throng going down the stairs as you finished your sentence, sounding almost hysterical. Hongjoong just linked his elbow through yours, as his eyes flashed with worry but also to keep a hold of you in the crowd. It wasn’t just the girls that had been rushed out of bed, you saw, as you ducked under the archway into the common room, only to see it full of boys. Everyone was lining up by year, and you saw Hongjoong nod to his roommates (Snore #1 and Snore #2 you called them in your head) who had been looking worried at not having been able to account for him. Just at that moment, the door to the Tower opened. A hush descended over the crowd.
“Ah, hello students, I apologize for the interruption this evening, or should I say morning?” Weak chuckles answered his question. Usually, you were all a very inquisitive bunch, but everyone could sense that something was significantly amiss, and that this was a time to listen, not ask. His squeaky voice and short stature should have logically done nothing to put your mind at ease a bit, but it did. The presence of an adult and a very talented wizard at that, a professor who was supposed to and did protect his students, calmed your heart down a little.
“Don’t be alarmed, but please be cautious and take what I am about to say seriously. We have reason to believe that Sirius Black entered the castle tonight. He attempted to break into Gryffindor Tower but was unsuccessful. Nobody was hurt, but he remains at large. We have Aurors and Professors alike investigating the Castle, floor by floor. We are also relocating all students to the Great Hall for the time being. Myself, and a few Aurors waiting outside, will escort you through there now. I implore you to remain calm and quiet. Please arrange yourselves with years below you at the center of the crowd and line, alright? You are safe with us, but wands out.”
You looked at Hongjoong, panic full blown on your face. You were both in Year 7, so it fell to you to take up the periphery of Ravenclaw House as you made your way to the Great Hall. He nodded at you in reassurance but kept his grip on your hand tight.
As everyone arranged themselves to make an exit from the Tower, you gave into your anxiety. “I’m really worried about the guys, Joong. What if something happened to them? What if they’re not okay?”
“Relax, Y/N. Flitwick just said that nobody was hurt. I’m sure they’re fine.”
“What if they didn’t evacuate everyone? What if they missed someone?”
“You saw the measures they’re taking. They wouldn’t have missed anyone. Don’t worry.”
You bit your lip. “What about the Slytherins? You know the undue prejudice they deal with. You know it. Just two years ago, they told them to go BACK to their House which is in the dungeons when there was a troll. A living, breathing troll! In. the. dungeons.”
Hongjoong’s features softened on his face, finally understanding where your unusual irrationality was stemming from when you were usually the calm and collected one out of the group. He squeezed your shoulder. “Seonghwa will be fine, Y/N.”
“What- why, I mean-” you spluttered. The panic was blurring your logic and your normal tendency to be secretive or aloof, especially about your feelings. How did Hongjoong know about you and Seonghwa? Or was the better question how much he knew about you and Seonghwa? You had both harbored feelings for each other for a long time but had only just confessed and become a couple. It was still so new, but the friendship wasn’t. And because you didn’t want to jeopardize your friendships with the group, you had been keeping it a secret until you both felt more comfortable to share and that you were on stable ground.
“You know he can take care of himself. He’s gonna be fine. I bet you Trelawney’s hat that he’s already in the Great Hall, practicing that little charm he invented to make his moss grow faster.”
Your breath came easier at the imagery. “You sure?”
“Positive.” He gave you another reassuring pat on the back as you both turned to face forward as Flitwick called for the Tower doors to be opened.
You took in a deep breath to prepare yourself to protect yourself, your friends, and the younger kids of your House as you stepped out into the castle. It was eerily quiet and immensely dark. The only sound that could be heard was the breathing of several dozens of students and the scuffling of shoes on stone. Even the portraits were quiet as you made your way through the castle. You held your body rigidly, looking for danger at every corner, in every sound.
When you finally reached the Great Hall, all the energy sagged out of your body, and you felt so drained that you couldn’t even carry the squashy purple sleeping bags Madame Pomfrey was handing out. Hongjoong grabbed both of yours and started to steer you further into the room. You didn’t even notice because you were counting everyone who was in the room. It made you feel safer, especially when you saw that there had to be at least three dozen Aurors guarding the students and room alone, along with most of the Professors, not to mention the rest of the upper years who also had if not a vast then adequate knowledge of magic.
“Noona!”
Your attention suddenly came back to your immediate surrounding as you were suddenly hugged. You gasped and lightly laughed at the head of red hair that was currently grabbing you.
“Hey, Wooyoung. You ok?” Your gaze landed past his shoulder you were patting to see the rest of your friends gathered, looking worried but otherwise unhurt. You barely had time to let your eyes scan over Seonghwa who was lingering at the back of the half circle you all had formed under the window. Because you couldn’t see him properly or disentangle yourself, you asked, “Everyone ok?” Yunho nodded at your question as Wooyoung not only refused to let go of you, but also dragged San and Yeosang into the hug, too. It was doing wonders for your nerves, so you couldn’t complain.
“Yeah, we’re all okay.”
“We were worried because your House took the longest to get down here. We were first obviously, but we were hoping it was just taking that long because your Tower is the farthest from here,” Mingi added.
“And not because something bad happened to you!” San wailed. His head was nestled firmly into the crook of your neck, despite being a whole head taller than you.
Hongjoong took his chance to swat him off of you. “Ya, what would happen to us? Between me and Y/N, we have at least half the library memorized and the whole curriculum down pat, especially Defense against the Dark Arts.”
Jongho clenched his fists in his hand menacingly, “Well, we could have come for you if you weren’t gonna show in the next ten minutes.”
Hongjoong cooed at him, “Really? Aw, my baby. You’re my favorite.”
Jongho started him dead in the face, “Just for noona. Not you. Have your duel with a mass murder. I think you’d do great, you know, with your Hogwarts level education. Maybe we should let the Aurors go home because Hongjoong Hyung read some books in the library!”
You laughed as everyone started bickering, feeling even more tension release from your chest at being together with everyone. As you did, you made eye contact with Seonghwa. His eyes were smoldering. He pushed off from where he was leaning against the wall behind Mingi and Yunho to come stand next to you. His eyes stayed on the squabble that was starting to brew between Hongjoong San and Jongho, as Wooyoung stirred the pot gleefully. His fingers brushed against yours. A pinky to yours.
“Are you alright?” His voice was a deep whisper, strife with the worry.
You looked down at your toes, pale blue nail polish peeking out from your bunny slippers. “Yes, are you?”
He turned to look at you. He looked at you, so earnestly it brought tears to your eyes. It stirred everything in your heart. It seemed as if he was asking questions with his eyes and trying to pick out the answers from yours. So many emotions flitted across his face that you could barely keep up. Worry, despair, fear, hurt, care, relief, affection, maybe even love. The loud sounds of the room lowered to a din as blood rushed to your head, roaring in your ears and flooding your cheeks. His hand raised, seeming to come up to almost brush against your cheek before he dropped it again as a Sonorous enhanced voice started echoing around the room. The chatter of hundreds of students immediately dropped to a hush.
Professor Dumbledore stood near the doors of the Great Hall which were now barred and warded. “Good evening to all! We find ourselves in a situation strife with high energies and excitement. Trust that you are in safe hands and that we will soon make the whole of the Castle just so, as well! I know the adrenaline must be pumping through your bodies right now at the hasty retreat and thought of a break in to the castle. You must also be wanting to check on the welfare of your friends. For that, we will allow another half hour of free time before its lights out and to bed with all of you! No need to segregate by House or gender, but please behave appropriately! The professors will be patrolling through the Hall until dawn when we will release you back to your dormitories and the Aurors will be guarding the doors from inside and out! I thank you for your cooperation! It’ll be points and detention if you fail to adhere to these rules and impede everyone’s safety in any way!”
“I wonder if the old bat even knows what the word expulsion means,” Hongjoong mused.
You turned to him, aghast. He knew better than to voice such opinions in such a public place! “Ya!”
He shrugged. “You know we’re all thinking it.”
Jongho nodded, “Yeah, if someone opened the doors to the castle tonight to let Black in, or left the room right now to go coordinate with him, they’d just get points off? Please.”
You scrunched your nose. It wasn’t the first time you had all discussed the hypocrisy, inadequacy, and flat-out discrimination that the people in authority had displayed on many occasions, but it seemed more out of place to add that kind of commentary to an already tension-fraught situation and such a long night. As if Seonghwa could read your mind, he replied, “Let’s just talk about it later, guys. Now’s hardly the time, let alone the place.”
Everyone nodded and turned to start setting up their sleeping mats. You watched them go about in a daze, still overwhelmed from all that had happened and all the many conversations flowing around you right now. You didn’t even notice that Seonghwa had left your side; you only noticed when he came back to it.
“Hey, Y/N. What’s wrong?”
You shook your head, noticing everyone else had already sat down on their mats and started playing a game of Exploding Snap. They were so engrossed in their game; they noticed nothing else.
Seonghwa leaned his head down so he could be at eye level with you. His eyebrows were raised, waiting for your answer. You smiled weakly at him. “Oh, nothing…wow, the guys set everything up so fast, I don’t even know where my sleeping bag went.” You made to push past him when he caught your arm lightly with his hand.
He indicated with his head at the end of the row where two empty sleeping bags could be seen just beyond Yeosang was sitting. “Relax, I already put yours out.”
You blushed at the thought of lying down next to him. And the fact that his hand was on you right now. You felt hot all over. Could he feel it?
“Thank you! You didn’t have to. I don’t know where my head is at, honestly.”
His hand on your forearm slipped down to hold your hand. Your heart spluttered in your chest. “It’s okay. It’s been a stressful night.” His brown eyes bore deep into yours, knowing everything that you were feeling but not saying.
You nodded, the feeling of danger and the worry for everyone’s wellbeing rushed back to you. You looked up at him, tears in your eyes. “Yea, it was really scary.”
His finger brushed at the single tear trapped in your eyelashes. “I know. But we’re here. We’re okay. You’re safe.”
Whatever little control you had been struggling to maintain over your stress was lost. Your feelings burst through, and your tears started to fall in earnest. “I was just so scared,” you blubbered. “That something had happened to you. Any of you, but, you down in the dungeons- You were so far away from me- I .. I couldn’t get to you-”
He pulled you into his arms quickly and tucked your head against his shoulder. “I wouldn’t let anything happen to me, ok? Just for your sake. And I wouldn’t let anything happen to you either. I will always protect you. And I will always come for you. You’re safe with me, ok? Don’t be afraid anymore.”
You just nodded and cried against his chest, hoping no one would notice. “You know why Dumbledore threatened points and detention for disobedience?”
You pulled back to look him in the face, both his hands and yours coming up to wipe your tears. “No, why?”
He smirked at you. “It’s because I already tried breaking the rules tonight.”
You gasped in horror. “What did you do?”
He shrugged, smirk still on his lips. “I said I would come for you, didn’t I? I wasn’t lying. I did actually try to come to you. Twice. The first time I just snuck away from the common room right before we were to be escorted out by Snape. I tried to run up to the Tower, but an Auror caught me and took me back to Slytherin before I barely made it 20 yards. Then, I went back to my room to grab my broom and fly to you, but that damn Mrs. Norris blocked me when I tried to escape and started mewing up a racket. So, Snape just kept me at his flank and forced me here.” He smiled at you sheepishly now. “Sorry.”
You stared at him in shock. How could he say sorry? “Don’t you ever ever put yourself in danger for me, Hwa. Please. I mean it.”
His eyes hardened, but his tone was still soft. “Don’t ask that of me, Y/N.” He put his forehead against yours, his arms tightening around your waist. “Please don’t ask me for promises I can’t keep. I will never let harm come to you if I can prevent it. I will never stand by and let you be in danger if I could take you out of it. I will always come for you,” he whispered.
You sighed, sinking further into his embrace. You really couldn’t sway him when he set his mind or heart on something, and honestly, you felt the same. It would be hypocritical of you to ask him for this. “Ok, ok. But, please don’t let me worry then. Promise me you will always be careful. I don’t want to see you hurt either.”
You could hear the smile in his voice as he answered. “Yes, ma’am. Whatever you want.”
“Ya, you two are really pushing old Dumbley’s rule on appropriate behavior.”
You jumped apart to see all the guys looking at you, with expressions varying from deadpan (Hongjoong and Yeosang) to too smiley (Jongho, Yunho, and Mingi) to borderline maniacal smiley (San and Wooyoung).
“You better knock it off before we all in trouble, hyung. Or worse- separated!” Mingi turned in horror to Yunho, as if they weren’t both in Hufflepuff and roommates for the past six years.
“NO! I wanna sleep with Hongjoong Hyung. We haven’t had a sleepover in ages.” San pouted.
“And why do you think that is?”
“Don’t punish me for Wooyoungie’s behavior!”
“Hey, you know you love it.” Wooyoung proceeded to drape himself all over the Ravenclaw, and you started laughing as yet another squabble broke out as he attempted to push the Gryffindor off. How WooSan still had energy in the middle of the night to harass Joong, you would never know. You turned to Seonghwa, the laughter still on your lips, to see him looking at you with a more open expression than he had all night.
“There’s that smile.” His thumb was at the corner of your lip. “I was worried when I didn’t see it.”
You smiled at him even more fully. If he had the presence of mind to flirt with you right now, then surely you weren’t in that much danger. And even if you were, he was here to storm it together with you. You let out a big breath as the last of the tension left your body. “I’m sorry,” you intertwined your fingers with his and he pulled you to where your sleeping mats were. “Won’t happen again.”
And it wouldn’t. You had faced real danger tonight. For the first time, but perhaps not for the last. You knew there were Dark Wizards and that the world was a cruel place, but you would never let your fear paralyze you again. You had strong people at your side to carry you through it, like Honjoong and Seonghwa had tonight, and you could draw strength from theirs, just like you were doing right now from their company and comfort and overzealous hugs.
Seonghwa smiled at you. You felt like he could read your mind, but in reality, he just saw the look of fear melt off your face to be replaced with one of confidence and determination. He couldn’t help himself; he leaned in and placed a sweet kiss on your lips. You kissed him back in earnest, the relief surging through your body almost making you euphoric. Everyone you loved was safe, and there were people you could count on in times of danger. As Seonghwa’s hand twisted in your hair, obnoxious coughing and whistles broke your reverie. You broke apart in surprise to turn to the guys.
Nobody looked particularly surprised, but they had just seen two of their best friends almost make out in front of them for the first time. They deserved an explanation, or an announcement at least. Seonghwa squeezed his hand in yours, and even though you had no idea what to say, you opened your mouth to start somewhere, when Wooyoung interrupted you.
“Save it; we already know.”
You shut your mouth again and looked at them all, head cocked to the side in confusion. “You.. already know?”
At this, San laughed. “Please, do you think we’re stupid?”
Seonghwa sighed, mockingly, “Well-”
“Hey!” “Please! You two have been so obviously in love with each other for years, it was sickening,” Mingi said.
“I thought it was sweet!” Yeosang was your favorite, and here was the reason.
“You know what’s not sweet? Having to hear both of your best friends pining over each other nonstop. For years. I haven’t caught a break since basically the day we were sorted!”
You blushed and peeked a glance at Seonghwa who you were surprised to see was acting shy and raising his fist towards Hongjoong in tiny. You two hadn’t had that conversation yet where you shared when you had started liking the other, partly because you were embarrassed to share the true longevity of your crush. You could barely believe Hwa liked you back- you couldn’t even imagine that he had liked you as long as you had liked him! It warmed your heart though that it had been the same for the both of you.
“No, but seriously,” Jongho piped up, eyes not straying from the game he was still playing with Yunho. “You guys are so obvious. We were just waiting for it to happen.”
“Yeah, we had a bet going and everything,” Yunho added.
“Oh, speaking of, can you tell us your first official day as a couple? I’ve got 10 Galleons riding on this,” Yeosang said.
“You what?”
“Wow, only 10?”
You and Seonghwa turned to each other, mock outraged over two totally separate things. You pursed your lips at him, and he raised his brow before you both burst into laughter. You two had been worrying about how to break the news for seemingly nothing. It wasn’t awkward and the dynamic hadn’t changed one bit with everyone knowing.
You both seeed to have the same realization at the same time. The contentment in his eyes mirrored your own. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder, and you leaned into him, more at peace than you had felt in a long time. It was ironic because there was a literal mass murderer likely still on the loose in the very building you and all your loved ones were in, but you felt more secure in yourself and your relationships than you ever had.
It was at that moment that the lights went out and the professors started herding people to their makeshift beds. You joined everyone else and laid yourself down into your sleeping bag. You were so exhausted that you didn’t even have the energy to be embarrassed at the heat of Seonghwa’s body laying right next to you. His hand found yours, and you smiled, staring at the stars of the Scottish Highlands reflected in the ceiling of the Great Hall above you.
Hongjoong was already face down in his bed on your other side. You were just about to lose the fight with sleep when he whispered your name.
You opened your eyes and turned to him. “What?”
He smiled lightly at you. “I just wanted to say I’m really happy for you. For both of you. Congrats.”
You pressed your lips together and pouted at him. “Thanks Joongie.”
He smiled back and shifted to his side before adding in a louder whisper that could carry across to both of you. “And you better not hurt each other. I expect you to take care of each other and be in love and happy together forever, ok?”
Seonghwa chuckled lightly, “Yes, Dad.”
“Ok, ok. That’s all I had to say,” the rest of the guys were giggling when he added in a harsher tone, “Goodnight, everyone!”
All the boys sleepily wished the same. Ten minutes later when everyone’s breaths had evened out in slumber, your thoughts were still rattling around in your head. Joong thought you would last forever, and your boyfriend hadn’t refuted it or been embarrassed. Did he feel as deeply for you as you did him? Not to mention the thought of Hwa’s husky chuckle was still sending shivers down your spine, before they transformed into lightning bolts as he suddenly wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you to his chest.
Your heartbeat spluttered before you could ask him in a choked whisper, “Ya, what are you doing?”
His eyes stayed closed, and he replied calmly. “Getting some sleep. You should, too.”
You could feel the blush emanating from your face and warming the scant space between you. You stared at the line of this throat, inches from your nose, wondering if you should be embarrassed or give into the comfort of his arms. Even though you two had never done anything like this, you couldn’t deny that it felt so right. It felt like home. Your brain wanted to react uncomfortably just because it was something new, but your heart was already calm, and the rest of your body was following as you melted into his heavenly embrace.
His arm at your back rubbed up and down twice before stilling around your waist as his other hand came to cradle your head. “There, just relax, my love. I’m right here, and you’re safe with me.”
You hummed blissfully against his heart. “Thanks, you too, Hwa.” Your words came out jumbled as sleep finally crashed over you.
“Sleep well, Y/N.”
A press of his lips at your hairline was the last thing you remembered from one of the most significant nights of your life.

Growing Tomatoes "The Muggle Way"
Summary:
Inspired by Yunho's wish to taste a freshly grown tomato, Mingi embarks on a gardening adventure.
Tumblr media
Professor Flock's Muggle Studies classroom has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The desks and chairs are arranged in a semi-circle, creating a space that encourages lively discussions. The walls are decorated with colourful posters depicting various Muggle inventions, which contrasts with the magical tapestries typically found in Hogwarts classrooms. The shelves are lined with an assortment of quirky Muggle gadgets, including typewriters and rubber ducks, adding to the room's unique charm.
As Professor Flock posed his intriguing question, the classroom seemed to come alive with a mixture of curiosity and disinterest. Some students slumped in their chairs, fighting off drowsiness, while others feverishly scribbled notes or exchanged amused glances. The Hufflepuff student at the back, known for his outspoken nature, couldn't resist throwing in a cheeky question:
"Can't we just Accio food from some Muggle shop?"
Professor Flock answered with a grin, "And you think you wouldn't get tired of doing that every day?" The Hufflepuff, acknowledging the wisdom in the professor's words, nodded in amused agreement.
"Well, actually," Professor Flock continued, his animated gestures capturing the class's attention, "some local grocers buy food from the Muggle world and sell it to other wizards. That way, only a small number of wizards would have intimate knowledge of the Muggle world, while the rest would buy it with wizard money from magical stores."
The information hung in the air, prompting a mixture of contemplative nods and raised eyebrows. Amidst the sea of students, Yunho sat in a desk, absorbing every word with genuine interest. The intimate setting of the class, with only 12 seats, allowed for a more personal connection between the professor and the students.
As Professor Flock continued his lecture, he encouraged discussions between students. Students began to share stories about encounters with Muggle artifacts, debating the usefulness of certain inventions. Laughter echoed through the room as one student recalled a particularly baffling experience with a Muggle "bicycle."
The classroom, despite its modest size, became a vibrant space where the boundaries between magical and Muggle worlds blurred. Professor Flock's engaging teaching style and the students' varied reactions created an atmosphere of learning and excitement, proving that even the smallest classrooms could hold the magic of discovery.
Yunho lingered after class, eager to delve deeper into the details of growing non-magical plants with Professor Flock. With a smile, he approached the knowledgeable wizard.
"Professor Flock, I was wondering if you could tell me more about growing Muggle plants like tomatoes and onions without using magic," Yunho inquired, his curiosity evident.
Professor Flock, delighted by Yunho's enthusiasm, gestured for him to join him at his desk. "Ah, the classic Muggle way! It's a fascinating process, my dear Yunho. Let me give you a brief overview."
Yunho leaned in, absorbing every word as Professor Flock began to explain. "Firstly, you'll need the right soil. Muggles often use a mixture of sand and loam for their gardens. It provides good drainage and aeration for the plants. Now, for tomatoes and onions, they thrive in slightly acidic soil, so keep that in mind."
Yunho nodded, his mind absorbing the details. "And what about planting the seeds?"
"Ah, excellent question! Muggles typically start by planting seeds indoors in pots, especially in colder climates. This gives the plants a head start before transplanting them outdoors. Make sure to follow the guidelines on the seed packets for the proper depth and spacing."
Yunho, scribbling notes on a spare piece of parchment, continued to inquire. "And watering? How do Muggles manage that without magic?"
Professor Flock chuckled, appreciating Yunho's eagerness. "Muggles water their plants manually, usually with a watering can. They gauge the moisture levels by feeling the soil; if it's dry an inch below the surface, it's time to water. Remember, it's a bit of trial and error, but you'll get the hang of it."
As their conversation continued, Professor Flock shared more insights on the complexity of Muggle gardening, from dealing with pests to the benefits of companion planting. Yunho absorbed the information like a sponge, grateful for the chance to expand his magical knowledge into the realm of the mundane, yet fascinating, Muggle practices.
Yunho couldn't contain the excitement bubbling within him as he practically skipped down the Hogwarts halls, eager to share his newfound knowledge with Mingi.
Finding Mingi at the Hufflepuff dinner table, his plate already half-empty, Yunho approached with a grin, unable to contain his enthusiasm. "Mingi, you won't believe what I learned in Muggle Studies today!" Yunho exclaimed, excitement glimmering in his eyes.
Mingi looked up from his meal, his eyes lighting up at the sight of Yunho's excitement. "What is it, Yunho? Something interesting?" he asked, genuinely curious.
Seating himself next to Mingi, Yunho dove into a descriptive recap of Professor Flock's class. He vividly described the quirky Muggle gadgets and the insights into how wizards obtained non-magical products. Mingi listened attentively, occasionally nodding or chuckling at Yunho's enthusiasm about such simple things.
As Yunho reached the topic of growing Muggle plants, he couldn't help but let slip his personal desire. "You know Mingi, I'd love to taste a freshly grown tomato someday, like the ones Muggles grow in their gardens, the proper 'Muggle Way'."
Mingi, ever attentive to Yunho's interests, leaned in with genuine interest. "The proper 'Muggle Way', you say?"
Yunho's eyes sparkled with excitement as he grinned. "I can't help but wonder how different they might taste compared to the magical ones we're used to."
As the conversation flowed, Mingi secretly hatched a plan to fulfill Yunho's wish. His small gardening haven behind the Beasts classroom would be the perfect spot to grow tomatoes without arousing suspicion. The mischievous gleam in Mingi's eyes went unnoticed as Yunho continued sharing his enthusiasm for Muggle studies.
Intrigued by Yunho's passion, Mingi made a mental note to surprise him with a taste of freshly grown tomatoes, grown with care and dedication, a secret gift from one Hufflepuff to another.
So he got to work.
The very same day.
Mingi, armed with a bag of seeds from "The Magic Neep" in Hogsmeade, embarked on his ambitious tomato-growing venture behind the Beasts classroom. The plot was set, the seeds were planted, and the pots were filled, but little did Mingi know, his gardening journey was about to take an unexprected turn.
Unbeknownst to him, Mingi had chosen clay soil, believing it to be a magical boon for his tomatoes. The pots were generously filled with magical fertilizer, expecting it to work wonders. As the days passed, Mingi's tomatoes weren't thriving; they were practically begging for mercy.
In the midst of his gardening disaster, Mingi scratched his head, wondering why his plants seemed more interested in protesting against their magical confinement than growing into lush tomatoes. It was then that he stumbled upon a gardening guide tucked away in the corner of the greenhouse, its title reading, "Gardening for Muggles: The Unseen Magic of Soil."
Wide-eyed, Mingi realized his mistake. He needed loam or a mixture of sand and loam, not the clay soil and magical fertilizer concoction he had been using. With a sigh, he resigned himself to the fact that gardening, even 'The Muggle Way', required a bit more attention to detail than he had initially thought.
Weeks later, as the first raindrops fell from the darkened sky, Yunho hurriedly exited the Beasts classroom, his footsteps echoing through the deserted courtyard. The heavy rain quickly escalated, prompting him to dash towards the castle to seek shelter from the downpour.
In his haste, Yunho caught a glimpse of a determined figure behind the Beasts classroom. Through the misty rain, he spotted Mingi, wearing a vibrant yellow raincoat and matching rubber boots, battling the unexpcted weather to tend to his struggling tomatoes.
Yunho's footsteps slowed as he observed Mingi's dedication. Dirtied with mud, hair sticking to his forehead, Mingi reflected loyalty to his words. He saw Mingi frantically attempting to move a gardening pot under a hastily constructed wooden shelter, struggling without a hint of magic.
A small blush crept onto Yunho's face as he realized Mingi was enduring this for him, inspired by Yunho's simple desire to taste a freshly grown tomato. Mesmerized by Mingi's unwavering commitment, Yunho decided to respect his friend's privacy and retreated, leaving Mingi to wrestle with the unpredictable forces of nature.
Three months had flown by since that day. On a lazy Saturday morning, Yunho stirred in his dormitory bed, basking in the luxury of a day free from classes.
Deciding to savor the rare opportunity to sleep in, Yunho stretched and turned his head towards Mingi's bed, only to find it suspiciously empty. The Hufflepuff dormitory room, usually filled with the soft snores of its occupants, felt unusually quiet. Furrowing his eyebrows in confusion, Yunho sat up and scanned the room, wondering where his roommate had vanished to so early on a weekend morning.
His eyes landed on a parchment paper neatly placed on his nightstand. Intrigued, Yunho picked it up and unfolded the note, revealing a message that stirred his curiosity. "Meet me behind the Beasts classroom, I have a surprise for you - S.M." Yunho's eyebrow raised in confusion. He had momentarily forgotten about the discreet encounter with Mingi and his gardening incident.
Yunho, now fully dressed and ready for the day, ventured out of his dormitory, the mystery note from Mingi still clutched in his hand. The Hogwarts corridors were a mosaic of magical portraits and enchanted tapestries, and Yunho's footsteps echoed through the ancient stone halls as he made his way toward the Beasts classroom.
As he strolled towards the Bell Tower Courtyard, the unexpected sight of Yeosang and Jongho sitting on a couch near the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom caught Yunho's attention. Both engrossed in their Advanced Potions textbooks, their focused expressions hinted at the challenges of their studies.
However, it wasn't the textbooks that drew Yunho's gaze; it was the unusual intimacy between Yeosang and Jongho. Jongho occupied the left corner of the couch, while Yeosang sprawled across the remaining space, his head nestled comfortably in Jongho's lap. The scene seemed so oddly familiar yet foreign to Yunho, as if he had stumbled upon a private moment between the two students. Yunho was taken aback at the carefree ease with which Jongho and Yeosang embraced their closeness.
Uncertain whether this was a regular occurrence for the two friends, Yunho hesitated to intervene. Instead, he opted for a simple wave, receiving warm greetings in return. A small smile adorned Yunho's face as he continued down the stairs.
"Well, that was interesting," Yunho murmured to himself. With a gentle smile, he continued his way towards the Beasts classroom, eager to uncover the surprise Mingi had in store for him.
When Yunho arrived, there were no signs of Mingi. He curiously scanned the surroundings, the anticipation building with each passing moment. Just as a hint of uncertainty crossed his face, a familiar voice sliced through the air.
"Yunho! Over here!"
Yunho's eyes lit up at the sound, and he turned around to spot Mingi waving enthusiastically from a few meters away. A wide grin spread across Yunho's face as he made his way towards his best friend.
"Hey, Mingi!" Yunho asked, his curiosity bubbling over.
Mingi, with an air of excitement, motioned for Yunho to follow. Leading him to a spot behind the Beasts classroom, they reached a breathtaking sight. A massive tree stood proudly a few meters away, its branches reaching towards the sky, offering a comforting shade. The small river nearby added a soothing melody to the surroundings, creating an atmosphere of tranquillity.
As they approached the tree, the Hogwarts Castle came into view. Perched on its majestic hill, the castle stood as a testament to centuries of magic and history. The sun, casting a warm glow over the turrets and towers, painted the scene with an enchanting radiance.
Mingi gestured towards the impressive view, a proud smile on his face. "Surprise! I thought this would be the perfect place for what I had in mind."
Yunho's eyes widened in awe as he took in the breathtaking scenery. The sprawling Hogwarts grounds, the river gently winding its way, and the castle looming in the background created a memorable scene. It was a scene that resonated with the magic of the wizarding world, and Yunho couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected beauty that Mingi had unveiled.
Mingi's hand pointed towards the meticulously arranged picnic blanket on the ground, a colorful spread that hinted at the result of Mingi's secret gardening adventure. "The tomatoes grew so much faster than I thought they would, and I had no idea what to do with all of them," Mingi confessed bashfully, his eyes twinkling with a mixture of pride and hesitation. "So I asked the castle house-elf staff if they could do something with them. I also helped! Given that they prepare our meals every day and that my request was probably additional work, I felt horrible watching them handle everything."
The blanket, adorned with an array of vibrant tomato dishes and salads, gleaming with the essence of Mingi's dedication. Yunho, initially struck speechless by the unexpected feast, finally managed to find his voice.
"You did all of this.. for me?" Yunho's words carried a hint of shock, his eyes reflecting both gratitude and amazement.
Mingi, with a humble grin, responded, "Well, don't get me wrong, despite the hard work, I actually enjoyed growing plants like this. You get a nice feeling of accomplishment."
As Mingi picked up a plate filled with freshly picked tomatoes, he extended it towards Yunho. "You said you wanted to try a fresh tomato, so.. here's your chance. I might've already eaten about half of this plate.. They're delicious!" Mingi's smile widened, showcasing his satisfaction with the final result.
Yunho, unable to resist the allure of the freshly picked tomatoes, accepted the plate gratefully. The first bite was indescribable, a burst of a tart and tangy flavor that surpassed all expectations. The tomatoes, nurtured with care and dedication, left a sweet after teaste in Yunho's mouth, almost as if he could taste the love Mingi has put into growing them.
The duo settled onto the comfortable picnic blanket, surrounded by an array of tasty-looking dishes, each infused with the magic of Mingi's efforts.
As they delved into their meal, Mingi regaled Yunho with tales of the misadventures that had peppered his gardening journey. Amidst the laughter and shared stories, Yunho couldn't help but find humor in Mingi's gardening mishaps. "How could you put them in clay soil? I told you Muggles use sandy loam!" Yunho teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
Mingi simply shrugged his shoulders with a grin, taking another spoonful of the delectable tomato salad. "Instructions unclear," he noted.
Yunho found himself captivated by the enchanting scenery surrounding them. The Hogwarts Castle, with its towering spires, stood proudly against the azure sky. The river nearby whispered tales of secrets shared only with those who sought its solace.
Amid the tranquil moment, a comfortable silence enveloped them, the special bond between Yunho and Mingi flourishing without the need for words. Yunho sighed, a contented smile playing on his lips as he gazed at Mingi, grateful for the genuine connection they shared.
After a few heartwarming seconds, Yunho finally broke the silence. "Thank you, Mingi."
Mingi turned his head towards Yunho, his eyes reflecting the warmth of their friendship, and he smiled sincerely. "You're welcome, Yunho," Mingi replied, the words carrying a depth that transcended the simple act of growing tomatoes. In that moment, gratitude and appreciation hung in the air, reinforcing the bond between the two of them.
Later, standing in front of Mingi's flourishing gardening haven. The tomato bushes stood proudly, their branches laden with plump, vibrant fruits that seemed to display the joy of their caretaker's dedication.
"What should we do with them? We can't eat all of this by ourselves!" Mingi exclaimed, his eyes scanning the multitude of tomatoes.
After a brief pause, Yunho's eyes gleamed with an idea. "What if we gather the tomatoes and offer them to the headmistress? She can ask the kitchen elves to include them on the menu for dinner today." Yunho's suggestion hung in the air, an opportunity to share the fruits of their unexpected harvest with the entire Hogwarts community.
Yunho and Mingi exchanged a knowing glance, their unspoken agreement sealing their decision.
Later at dinner, Headmistress Weasley took center stage, her poised and authoritative presence commanding the attention of the entire Great Hall. The hum of conversations gradually subsided as students turned their focus to the headmistress, a sense of anticipation filling the air.
"I would like to announce that tonight's dinner is indeed very special," Headmistress Weasley began, her words flowing with the effortless grace and eloquence that characterized her speech. The students, initially confused, now listened attentively. "One of our students has generously offered fresh ingredients for tonight's dishes, cultivated with dedication and care. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Song Mingi, a fifth-year Hufflepuff, who has spent the last three months cultivating his own tomatoes. He selflessly contributed these homegrown treasures to our school's kitchen, expressing his desire to share the fruits of his labor with his fellow students."
A gentle smile graced Headmistress Weasley's lips as she continued, "In recognition of his outstanding efforts, I am pleased to award Song Mingi with 50 house points for his remarkable contribution to our Hogwarts community. Now, without further ado, let us all relish in this extraordinary feast. Bon appétit."
As she concluded her speech, the Great Hall erupted in a chorus of cheers and applause. The tables, adorned with a variety of dishes, showcased Mingi's tomatoes in all their glory – in vibrant tomato salads, rich marinara sauce paired with pasta, and even as delectable snacks in the form of cut-up tomatoes. The Hufflepuff table, especially, erupted in jubilation, celebrating Mingi's altruism.
Amidst the cheers and applause, Yunho couldn't help but gaze at his best friend with admiration, recognizing the purity of Mingi's heart reflected in this special moment.
