So for most of these the romance isn't the point, but it's still very prevalent:
Heart Haunt Havoc - Freydis Moon The Venetian and the Rum Runner - L.A. Witt If the Seas Catch Fire - L.A. Witt Summer Sons - Lee Mandelo The Faerie Hounds of York - Arden Powell The Bayou - Arden Powell (the loosest definition of "romance") Winging It - Morgan James, Ashlyn Kane Him - Elle Kennedy, Sarina Bowen Pull Me Under - Zarah Detand
All are mlm or nblm
Summer Sons is one of my all time favorites. It absolutely kills me in the best way every time! I actually haven't read most of these so thank you!! I'll check them out 🥰
The only other one I've read on this list is Him and I'll admit it's on my list of least favorite books of all time 😅😅

Titre : Sur la touche
Autrice : Zarah Detand
Roman contemporain

Hello there..i was wondering do we know as a fandom what some of the og fic writers back in the days like zarah5 or dolce_piccanto are up to right now? Writing wise i mean? Do they have anything published? Or like do any type of writing outside of this fandom?
Hi sweetheart. Ugh I’m so annoyed because I literally answered this question not long ago, with links to their work. Of course I can’t find it now. But I’ll try to do it again!
Zarah5 is Zarah Detand. She turned a couple of her popular fics into books and has written others as well.
dolce_piccante published Escapade as Dolce. She’s also still active on twitter and has a website dolcewrites
BriaMaria has published quite a few books under the name Brianna Labuskes
bethaboo has published many under the name Beth Bolden (including turning her most popular fics into original fiction)
alivingfire published their wonderful fic Say Hallelujah, Say Goodnight
I believe Gloria_Andrews and 100percentsassy published LIARB, but I can’t find it at the moment
Off the top of my head, that’s all I know! But I hope it helps.

Book ask 2, 4, 6
Thank you for the ask!!!

2. Did you reread anything? What?
I don’t know if this counts but I reread the original published fiction version of the Larry fic Pull Me Under by Zarah Detand! I loved the little tweaks she made and also just seeing Niall’s personality put into an OC.
4. Did you discover any new authors that you love this year?
I actually rediscovered Emma Donoghue! She wrote a WLW fairy tale anthology that I was obsessed with in high school (Kissing the Witch). She writes books in so many different genres (Room and my beloved Slammerkin) but she puts so much research in everything (and adds some gay)? I love it.
Already answered 6.

Pull Me Under by Zarah Detand
“Now, you’re about to miss your flight, but first? Take a picture with me. One I can set as my phone background, show you off to everyone who doesn’t tell me to shut up.”
Henry’s smile starts from his eyes, spreading until his entire face is lit up, deep shadows pooling in his dimples. Ben needs a second to regain his balance, and in a way, it feels like they’re standing still while the world is moving around them. Like a lighthouse in the middle of the stormy sea, and wow. Endorphins, definitely.
“A real picture?” Henry asks softly.
Ben nods, smiling back. “Yeah. I don’t have enough of those. I might never have enough of those.”
“I’ll get on that,” Henry says. “As soon as you’re back, I’ll take so many pictures of us, it’ll be obscene.”
Ben raises both brows and grins. “Obscene?”
“Not like that.” Then Henry seems to reconsider. “Well, maybe. Just for us, though. Just us.”
“Just us,” Ben repeats. He takes a deep, even breath that fills the sudden space in his chest because really, that’s the thing: This is for them. It’s not for show, nothing about this is for show. Not anymore.
(...)
They’ll make it through.
Ben is done caring about the public.
(...)
They are in this together.
Together

what other lgtb books do you know apart from captive prince?
I’ve read No Place Left to Run by Zarah Detand, and I think she has a few more LGBT stories published as well, but I haven’t read those yet. She is a great writer and her style is very fanfiction-esque (I just made that word up), you should definitely check her out.
Winging It by Ashlyn Kane and Morgan James is another LGBT book that I read a few months ago, although it was nothing special. The characters are very well-developed but there is no angst (not that I remember, anyway) and while I enjoyed it, I was not blown away by the plot. Maybe it’s because it focused so much on hockey that it ended up boring me... but if you like the sport you should probably read it.
Then I’ve read The Foxhole Court trilogy by Nora Sakavic and The Raven Cycle saga by Maggie Stiefvater, which have some amazing LGBT characters but their homo/bisexuality is not the main issue the books deal with nor part of the main plot.
And I have to include The Song of Achilles, one of my favourite books in the whole world. I don’t know if you’re into Greek mythology and literature, but even if you’re not you /have/ to read TSOA (although maybe you should do a bit of basic research about Homer’s Iliad before reading it). Madeline Miller is such a fantastic writer, and her characters are so beautiful and deep. The story is incredibly complex and intense, and there is definitely /a lot/ of angst (I cry every single time) but it’s so worth it. 100% would recommend.

Notice: Pull Me Under, Zarah Detand
Pull Me Under, Zarah Detand
One of several works under this pen-name adapted from works originating in the fandom of A Popular Beat Combo, M’Lud.
Has the work, in other form, a fandom presence? Yes … if one knows where to look.
Milieu: Premier League football; PR and management.
Setting & fidelity: Largely keen-eared evocation of its British setting, with vanishingly few errors. I believe the author is from the Continent, which helps, rather.
TV Tropes page: None at time of posting.
Likely appeal to: Fen of A Popular Beat Combo, M’Lud; aficionados of M/M romance; AU fen; followers and supporters of Premier League football (although not, alas, Spurs); fans of John King, Brian Glanville, and David Peace … if those fans should be very open-minded. (Do not mention Nick Sodding Hornby.)

Update: the paperback is now available on Amazon. Dreamspinner is out of stock, and they are apparently not in the habit of restocking.
Out now: No Place Left to Run by Zarah Detand
After a lengthy world tour, pop star Samuel Gibbs is looking forward to a nice, quiet break—sleep in, write a bit of music, do his own cooking for a change. He doesn't want his time spoiled by the constant presence of bodyguards, and he is certainly not willing to have someone tail him each time he so much as goes to the shops. No way, no how. It's a good thing, then, that his head of security relents on the matter—or so he leads Samuel to believe. The break is starting to look even better when Samuel runs into his new neighbor. Ryan Halston is smart and hot and, quite possibly, everything Samuel wants. However, he doesn't know that Ryan is part of the rejected security detail, tasked with protecting him from the dangerous attentions of an unknown stalker.
