Anyway, I'll elaborate on this in the tags bc omg I'm going to yap your metaphorical ear off.
#SO during the whole “affogato almost takes over the citadel situation” dark cacao cookie [whom i will refer to as DC for my health]#dc basically took all the cookies that were hunting/fishing/patrolling the surrounding lands for food and stuff to make them work#on fortifying the wall#therefore two things happened 1] the cookies who still were hunting for food literally couldn't keep up with the apatites of cookies who#were working super fucking hard on the wall and 2] all the farming imports from the villages near by stopped almost entirely because#it was too dangerous to import their goods or get anything from the citadel [like tools] so they had to keep what they could for themselves#so effectively a famine was starting#and so cookies started eating things they probably shouldn't like deer crackers and wolf treats#looking at you Caramel and crunchy chip#caramel just never fully kicked the habit because it was what she had alot of and she would trade her rations for them with the villages#crunchy chip just allways did that tho. he's just like that#Dc on the other hand grew up in those lands before there was real communication between villages or a citadel to depend on for rations#so famine was common and rough. eatting bark and leaves were common place in his home so while he does eat jellys he never kicked the#craving for tree bark#on the plus side hes got a crazy strong stomach and can eat just about anything#whereas chocolate wafer is from a small village near the hollyberry kingdom so they have allways had an abundance of fruits and juice to#snack on. they managed to convince dc to add dried berrys to their imported goods list and now they are considerd a sweet treat#idk how to put this in kinda organically so ill just say the dc kingdom is a place that depends on imported goods heavily#things like precious metals and food usually comes from the hollyberry kingdom [and gc before her isolation]#in return dc kingdom provides military support and has the best medicine in all of earthbread. #hatoful boyfriend#holiday star#hitori uzune#nageki fujishiro#nanaki kazuaki#hiyoko tosaka#ryouta kawara#anghel higure#if anyone cares about my real life bird tales: basically a mommy cardinal and her kid came to feed at my bird feeder#and i was shocked because her kid was like? dare i say bigger than her at this point and could eat JUST FINE! on his own#but was still asking for his mommy to feed him ON TOP OF THE SEEDS HE WAS ALREADY EATING!! SPOILT!!#so i took a video and called him a manchild#it was genuinely very cute and sweet tho#im not sure what he did but mommy bird ended up tussling with him at one point#and he just awkwardly sat there repenting after LOL#all to say: i ended up curious about what the point in feeding a bird that can clearly eat on its own is and like yea the answer is obvi…#like yea… its thier baby still.. sniffles so loud#but also some birds flirt via feeding yummy worms and what not#i think the website i read mostly listed songbirds tho#so i dont think quails do this- sorry i went to look this up LOL#so i typed. do adult quail feed eachother. and the google ai instead was like yea quails do eat eachother when stressed </3#NOT WHAT I ASKED?? Me, watching as Siffrin says, does, or think things I have said, done, or thought near identically: Wait. Is this fucking play about ME?

it has occurred to me that it is truly preposterous that I, the Maker Of A Ridiculous Number Of AUs, have never yet played that ask game that's like "send me an ask with a character pairing and an AU and I'll write 3 sentences"

#ZEXAL#project rambling#tag force special#tfsp#yugioh#yugioh zexal#just finished translating his full story and will work on his in-duel lines and bio next!#i've also been working to expand the voicetest module to every character--since i'll be giving everyone voices for my 'deluxe' translation#and made good progress in setting it up--basically coming up with a uniform voiceline name template then setting up pointers/function codes#so that it's all working from an expanded Eboot file in the game and not the module that loads the character list in the database#and renaming their voicelines for their .acb voicepacks [will also need to update their files which point to which line plays when in-duel#with the new names]#currently have Dark Yugi-Jonouchi set up for that and working nicely 😌 and will be going through the protags to get them all set up first#set up a nice workflow for it so I can maybe get one character done a night or more if i feel like it lol--stay tuned there!#and stay tuned for a Kite story demo soonish before I jump back to finalizing my subs for GX 126~#[going to do 127 and 128 together since both blend in nicely into 129-130]#[also need to jump back into ARC-V 'dub-uncut' ep 2 and my slow-but-steady Duel Links project [s/o to the notes on that post recently hehe]
