Exercises for all the homies who want to have a long career drawing.
The true problem with being an artist and drawing all day (as I wanted my whole life) is that human backs are not designed to hold that position, so it is very common for artists and designers to have really stiff shoulder blades, creating a chain of muscle strain towards the arm AND the back... and a lot of pain.
These are some physical exercises for artists and honestly anyone who works at a desk.
"Well... I was gonna say, 'Happy new year...' buuuuut you don't look so happy. Ha ha... Yeeeaaaah... I had a feeling you might pee in your Pee-Jays last night. Kind of you to prove me right."
"Maybe your new years resolution should be to keep your pants dry. Although I can guess that'll be one of those resolutions that doesn't stick..."
Time flies, huh? I'm so glad I got to draw consistently and I think I really improved a lot in such a short time span. Thank you all for the support, I love you all so much <3
I'm posting this exactly on midnight (Not really, but who's counting)! It's been a great year, and I'm so excited to continue drawing and just enjoying life from now on. Cheers! 🌅🎇
(Of course, I had to draw these two to celebrate :D)
Let's not forget about the artist recap everyone does!
A good line-up, I'd say! I'm satisfied with the improvement. Never thought I'd be getting to this point of skill, but here we are! (Lol)
Here are my artist goals for 2024, Kirby Edition:
1. Finish either a comic, two MVs, or an animation!
2. Add more storytelling to my drawings!
3. Create an AU and flesh it out!
4. Learn how to draw Traitor Magolor and Marx Soul (So i can feed you guys some food)
5. Branch out in terms of characters (I want to learn Gryll and King Dedede especially!)
I'm excited about the future now, so let's see how many I can do. That'll be a wrap for this post, wishing you all a Happy New Year!
After nearly two years of on-again off-again work here it is, the animatic that's been stuck in my head ever since I first heard this song back in 2018!! Finishing this behemoth was my big goal for the year and that was even before I decided to fully illustrate it, but somehow here we are!
I honestly wasn't ever sure if I'd be able to make this a reality since the song is a mix of fast paced with slower portions and I didn't think static images would fit very well, but rather than give up on it I was super inspired by @siruoa‘s brilliant greedling artvid over here, and decided to give that style a shot myself with just the best results I could’ve hoped for!
Anyways thanks to all of ya’ll that have been so patient and encouraging since I dropped the sketch version last spring, I hope you all enjoy my love letter to FMA, Greed, and this this banging song as much as I do~
(Additional project details under the cut)
All art and animation was done within Clip Studio Paint EX over the course of 12 months. Overall this animation has 70 shots made up of 11 active animation folders, with the more complicated shots having up to 7 pieces moving at a time. I frankly lost track of the number of layers used, but it was well over 1200 when all was said and done h a
