#a very scared Raven

For ace prompts: After having Yang Raven realizes she's a sex-repulsed Ace... and she doesn't know how to reconcile that with her long-term relationship with Tai and the obviously sex-related result (Yang), and that's her REAL reason for running off.

(This one is just a tad bit late...)

Raven panted as she leaned against a wooden wall of the shack in the woods, her arms shook as she tried to catch her breath. She loved Tai, she knew that without a shadow of a doubt. And she knew she loved Summer. But this? This was just a little too far even for her. Though, it wasnt like she had regretted the child she bore, infact, it was the opposite. She loved Yang just as much as she loved Tai, but after carrying her for nine months and finally having her, it was finally something she couldnt take anymore. 

“Raven!” Summer called out. “Raven! Where are you?!” 

Raven felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up as she made her way deeper into the dark shack to keep hidden in the shadows. Her fingers gripped the doorframe tightly as she peeked around the corner only to find Summer standing there. “I’m… I’m not going back.” 

“Taiyang has been looking everywhere for you-” 

“I’m not the person he fell in love with!” Raven’s voice cracked as she yelled at Summer, her body practically locking up at her anger. “I… I wasnt…. I’m not… He wants someone who can love him the way he wants to be loved, to allow him to show them that he loves them, but I… I cant… not again. And I know he’ll want to do it again.” 

Summer sighed and put a gentle hand on Raven’s. “Rae, take a deep breath and try to calm yourself a bit, let your words try to come through.” 

Raven nodded and took a couple breaths to calm herself, her heart still pounding as fear ran through her mind. “I… I dont… I mean, I love Tai, I just… I dont want another kid… I never wanted to have sex, I just… I dont know, I thought that it was something I had to do with him and now I realize that it just wasnt something I liked or wanted and everytime I look at Yang all I can think is… you know…” 

“That you did something you werent completely into?” 

Raven nodded and sighed. “I want to be there for them, I really do, but I cant… be who Taiyang wants me to be.” 

“Then dont.” 

Raven looked away and sighed. “Its not that easy, Summer.” 

“Of course it is. All you have to do is get yourself back over there-” 

“And I cant just go back after this!” Raven yelled, her eyes starting to burn as the wind around her picked up. “If I go back, all I’ll have are the reminders that Tai and I slept together, that I gave in to him asking me over and over because I thought I had to! I didnt want any of this!” 

Summer sighed and turned her back to Raven. “Then… where are you going to go?” 

“I dont know… I really dont.” Raven gently grabbed the sword at her side and took a breath as her grip tightened around the handle. “I… need to go. Figure myself out, get away from all of… this.” She motioned with her free hand and slowly unsheathed her sword. “I’ll be back. Maybe. After… after I figure out what I really want.” 

“Will you at least visit Yang?” 

The only answer Raven gave was a slice in the air and the ominous howling of the portal that opened in front of her. She took a step closer and sighed. “Keep them safe for me, Sum.” 

Summer shook her head as the portal closed and the wind started to die down. She looked up to the sky and let out a heavy sigh. “Stay safe yourself, Rae. You cant keep running away like this.”

ya know having spent the last year living in a trailer has changed my perception of adam parrish a little bit do you gave any idea how silent this kid had to be to avoid getting his ass beat every day? how careful he had to be about all of his movements? you can feel and hear literally everything in a trailer like someone rolls over in their sleep and it shakes the whole thing sometimes and I literally cannot stress enough how you can hear everything both inside and out and it's so stressful sometimes and it gets so fucking hot in the summer and if the heating goes out in the winter it gets so so so cold to the point where really the only difference between outside and inside is that there's no wind inside and honestly this kid's gucking willpower is insane just to keep living in that trailer with his father despite having people who could very easily get him out like i get why he didnt want to leave that but holy shot dude it could have been so much easier if he just did I get why he's such a bitch now

the combination of dnd events that happened last night and the space exploration game i was playing before bed meant that i had a dream last night where i was a xenologist out in space. and i was getting some really weird readings from a planet and maneuvered around to see better.

and yeah of course the readings were weird because i circled around the planet and an entire half of it was missing. bisected straight down the middle. and the core was writhing and squirming and as i watched some planet-sized lifeform, too massive and intricate for me to properly describe, unfolded itself from where it had been feeding on the molten core of the planet. still dripping magma from its jaws and stared at me.

now the horrors of realizing that worldeaters existed really got to me and the only thing i could mutter was. "holy shit. there's a guy in there." except i had half awoken because of one thing or another, and shaw was laying next to me still reading a fic on their phone in real life.

"can you elaborate?" they said, very slowly, trying to tempt sleeping me into saying something funny.

except i was just awake enough to both recognize that shaw was sitting next to me but also asleep enough to still see this giant planetary consuming lifeform right in front of me. and shaw's question only pissed me off because i didn't need to elaborate when there was a cosmic horror right fucking there!

||. I'll try to do one for each (and keep them shorter than my past 2 answers, haha)

🔥 Loki is a side character in case anyone needed a reminder of that and everything that makes him fascinating revolves around Thor. His feelings of being overshadowed, wanting a family, adoring/idolizing the family he has; rejecting the family he has? All revolve around Thor. He is Thor's foil and the other side of his coin. I love Loki to death, but his fandom really needs a reality check on that front.

🔥 Endgame!Thor actually wasn't poorly written, save for the deleted scene where he peed in the palace like a miscreant. (Thor would literally never. He may be having a mental breakdown constantly, but he's a gd prince.) It's actually the cinematographer and the editor in conjunction that screwed up that arc and Chris' performance. Specifically deconstructing the scene where Thor speaks about the Aether/Reality stone inside of Jane in 2013, the things he's saying and way he's saying them make perfect sense. It's the slow dutch angle tilt and reaction shots to Steve (who is OOC and not being supportive to the avenger he is close to), Rhodey (who is an utter jerk to Thor dsajkdksja), and Rocket (who is ALSO acting OOC with his annoyance towards Thor) that causes the scene (and every other scene) to feel really uncomfortable.

🔥 THOR AND JANE ARE A FANTASTIC COUPLE WHO HAVE GREAT CHEMISTRY TOGETHER !!! Jane fits in with Thor's group dynamics perfectly, and is the exact kind of person that Thor looks for in his close companions. (Jane is clever, like Loki, brave, like Loki, and spunky, like Loki. All of these things are also traits that Thor gravitates to in Steve Rogers as well! Jane is the Steve Rogers of SCIENCE !!) The reason why people say that Fos.ter.son has not-great chemistry is largely due to the fact that, if you pay attention to their interactions, Thor at no point shares his woes, concerns and fears with Jane. She never even found out he was banished from Asgard until the Warriors came to retrieve him in 2011. Thor has massive issues with allowing himself to be vulnerable and this is true with EVERYONE he's castmates with, including the warriors 3. But, genuinely, outside of this specific hurdle, the two of them make a really cute, wholesome pairing of two lost kids finding each other and becoming best friends, protecting the light inside of each other.

Thor gave Jane the stars that she looked up to every day, and Jane gave Thor the freedom to just be himself because Thor makes HIMSELF worthy just by existing.
