Day 5 Secret Santa Gift Exchange (Traphouse)

Christmas at the Traphouse wasn’t something I ever imagined experiencing, but here I was. The living room glowed with mismatched string lights, and the artificial tree in the corner leaned slightly to the left, its branches weighed down by too many ornaments. It was chaotic, festive, and felt like the perfect reflection of everyone in the house.

I sat cross-legged on the floor, a carefully wrapped box in my lap. Sam Golbach clapped his hands excitedly, his smile as bright as the fairy lights. "Alright, guys! It's time for the Secret Santa gift exchange!"

"Finally," Colby Brock groaned, leaning back against the couch. "This has been the most chaotic week of my life trying to figure out what to get my person."

Corey Scherer snickered. "Yeah, because you put it off until yesterday. I saw you sprinting out of Target like your life depended on it."

"Shut up, Corey."

Everyone laughed, and I found myself relaxing into the warmth of the moment. Jake Webber leaned forward, his hair slightly messy and eyes alight with curiosity. "Okay, but who's going first?"

Aaron Doh raised his hand dramatically. "Me! Me! I can't wait anymore." He grabbed a large gift bag and handed it to Katrina Stuart, who squealed in delight. As she pulled out a soft, oversized blanket with her favorite colors, Aaron grinned. "I figured you could use something comfy while you steal Sam’s hoodie for the hundredth time."

Katrina laughed, throwing the blanket over her shoulders. "This is perfect! Thank you!"

One by one, gifts were exchanged. Corey gifted Devyn Lundy a set of fancy art supplies, while Tara Yummy surprised Jake with a neon sign of his name. Sam gave Colby a box of high-quality candles that he claimed would “make their room smell less like feet,” earning an exaggerated eye roll from Colby.

Finally, it was my turn. I handed my gift to Devyn, who opened it eagerly. Inside was a personalized journal with her name embossed on the cover. She hugged me tightly. "This is so thoughtful! Thank you Y/N!"

When it came time to open my gift, Tara handed me a small, square package wrapped in shiny red paper. Everyone leaned in as I tore it open, revealing a set of Polaroid films and a vintage photo album.

Colby leaned forward, a sly smile on his face. "Okay, I have to admit, I had no idea what to get you, but I figured this would be a good way to remember all the chaos we get into."

"It’s perfect," I said, holding the album close. "Thank you."

The rest of the evening was a blur of laughter, hot cocoa, and arguments over whose gift was the best. By the time the fire in the small hearth began to die down, everyone was sprawled across the couches and floor, sleepy but content.

I glanced around at my chaotic but wonderful friends and smiled. The Traphouse may have been an unexpected place to spend Christmas, but it was definitely one I’d never forget.

Hello all my beautiful peoples! As most of you know, I have a busy life and BAD writers block. FEAR NOT, I am currently working on a colby x reader where colby and reader are best friends, along with reader being friends with the whole gang (jake, johnny, tara, sam, kat, devyn, corey, arron, and ofc colby). They all get together and go on a vacation (in love with this plot). Reader has known colby since they were kids and has had a crush on him since junior year.

Reader is 24 in this. I know sam & kat and jake & tara are no longer couples and i completely respect that, but for this story I still have them all being together.
