I think the whole "Peter Parker is ugly" is their self-projection, because they can't comprehend the fact that Peter gets more cooch in one day than they did in their entire miserable lives, because they can't interact with women.
Yes, it may be an unpopular opinion what I will say next, but I always thought that Peter’s version of Sam Raimi created a certain identification among boys/ men with incel tendencys.

Pitch for a Hawkeye sequel miniseries:
Main Story:
On Earth-4444, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Hawkeye and Black Widow (who both have masks on) track down the notorious vigilante known as “Ronin” to Stark Industries. During the middle of their fight, Clint accidentally activates one of Tony’s prototypes, which sends him and Ronin into the MCU.
That’s when we see that something is...off about Hawkeye. The moment Earth-4444 Hawkeye removes his mask, we see that it’s not Jeremy Renner. Instead, it’s “Agents of SHIELD” alumni Iain De Caestecker. In order to make it back home and stop Ronin, 4444-Hawkeye tracks down his MCU counterparts.
The rest of the miniseries is a buddycop dramedy centered around the three Hawkeyes (Clint 1, Clint 2, and Kate Bishop) trying to stop Ronin and finding a way to send Clint 2 back to his own universe.
Other Notes:
1) The main theme of this season of “Hawkeye” is a deep dive into Clint Barton as a character. Compared to MCU Clint, 4444-Clint is supposed to represent the 616 counterpart (womanizer, human disaster, constantly joking around, etc.). What we end up learning is that, despite the huge differences in personality, MCU Clint is a lot more like 4444-Clint than he thinks. It’s the fact that MCU Clint is incredibly traumatized and has a family that he turned out very different than 4444-Clint and 616-Clint.
2) Ronin is an original character but is played by Scarlett Johansson. So, Ronin is supposed to be more of a symbolic villain in that MCU Clint has to fight someone who has MCU Natasha’s face.
3) Iain’s casting here is intentional. It’s to establish that certain people in other universes can look different (ex.: Tobey, Andrew, Tom are all Peter Parker).
4) Leo Fitz is referenced at least once in the miniseries. MCU Clint points out that 4444-Clint looks like a former colleague of his who has since retired and settled down (this revelation can also work as a tie-in to MCU Clint Barton’s character arc).
5) In case if it isn’t obvious, 4444-Natasha Romanoff is played by Elizabeth Henstridge as an obvious reference to “Agents of SHIELD”. So, imagine Jemma Simmons but with red hair. She only appears twice in the miniseries; once in the beginning and then at the end when 4444-Clint returns to his universe.
6) Just for fun, since Renner Clint has the modern Hawkeye costume, imagine Iain Clint using the classic Hawkeye costume (the one with the H on the forehead).

hello hello :) i was thinking about your spider-nance au (loving it so far, omfg nancy was raised in the rainbow room and she is investigating it and- so very intrigued by it!), and then i got a bit confused: is it set in hawkins? if so: how does her travelling suited up work... because like spidermans whole thing is swinging from tall buildings, and, well hawkins lacks that feature
(i am also asking this because i had thoughts on my own spiderman au and then got stuck on "what's the use of how spiderman travels if its not in a tall as hell city, oh but if you change the setting the vibe completely changes" so i'm curious about how you've gone about this!)
hello!! and good morning! i love talking abt spider-nance lore so thank you so very much for this ask!!! :)!
nancy investigates the rainbow room in this universe because it’s similar to the Red Room in the black widow comics (not exactly, but you get the vibes! child assassins and all that!) but she wants to investigate this as nancy, not as spider-woman and i’ll tell you why!
so, this au is not 100% set in hawkins. there are time skips BACK to hawkins, but the ‘present’ in this au is set in boston! in the past in hawkins, nancy was already the spider-woman. she got bit by the spider when she was 16 and in high school. then the Goblin shows up about a year or so after she’s become the spider-woman. to make a long story short: goblin kills barb, nancy kills goblin. when she does this though, she gives up the mask. and she swears she gives it up completely, the spider-woman isn’t needed anymore and she doesn’t have to be a superhero.
(i should clarify that this is really a mix of all of the spidey lore that i’m aware of + infusing it into nancy and making it her own. she’s a very different spidey compared to peter parker or even gwen stacy or anything!)
anyway; fast forward to boston, now. nancy hasn’t been the spider-woman in years. and she’s happy (sort of) like that. just trying to survive her senior year of college. but of course, some shit goes down that forces her (albeit reluctantly) to put the mask back on.
so most of it takes place in boston, which is how the swinging works. i wanted it to be in a city but not one as big as new york, but still pretty big. and the buildings are big enough that she could swing off of them and everything!
but i will tell you: because it’s been a while (roughly 4 years) since nancy’s been the spider-woman, she has to re-learn how to web swing. in this au her webs work like tobey maguires, her body just makes them now. but she’s rusty and out of practice so it takes a few tries before she’s back to a decent swing style!
thank you again for this ask! like i said i love talking about this stuff and spidey lore in general and if you ever need someone to bounce ideas off of, i’m always happy to help! :)

A Comprehensive List of Viewing Prerequisites for Marvel Phase 4
Because I’ve seen complaints about how the MCU is now overcomplicated because of how many movies you need to watch to understand any new piece that comes out, I’m going to break down what is actually required for each movie or tv show.
There are three levels:
Necessary-- This movie is a direct sequel to the one listed and/or the plot or character arcs will not fully make sense with knowledge of this movie
Helpful-   it borrows a secondary character but you can probably get by without their background; a specific plot point or character ties in but someone could explain it to you in a sentence or two and/or the movie itself gives you the pertinent details.
Bonus-  there are references or appearances that you won’t get if you haven’t watched these but they’re minor enough that you probably won’t even notice they’re there; or a character appears but the movie explains/introduces them well enough that you don’t need prior knowledge; or all references/appearances are constrained to credits scenes
Does not include She-Hulk or Wakanda Forever because I’m making this before they release.
Black Widow
Necessary: Civil War
Helpful: Endgame; Avengers; Age of Ultron
Bonus: X
Shang-chi
Necessary: X
Helpful: Iron Man 3
Bonus: Infinity War/Endgame; The Incredible Hulk
Eternals
Necessary: X
Helpful: Infinity War/Endgame
Bonus: X
Spiderman: No Way Home
Necessary: Far From Home
Helpful: Infinity War/Endgame; Homecoming; Tobey Maguire Spiderman trilogy; Andrew Garfield Spiderman Movies*
Bonus: Daredevil; Civil War; Any of the Iron Man movies; Venom
*I debated where to put the other spiderman movies but trust me this judgment is from the personal experience of taking my mother who has no memory of the AG and TM Spiderman movies to see No Way Home and she did fine. Context clues are a magical thing.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Necessary: Infinity War/Endgame; Wandavision*
Helpful: Dr. Strange 1
Bonus: Any X-Men movie; Captain Marvel; What If- Captain Carter and/or Captain America: the First Avenger; Inhumans; The Office; No Way Home
*If Sam Raimi didn’t watch it, I guess you don’t need to.
Thor: Love and Thunder
Necessary: Ragnarok; Infinity War; Endgame
Helpful: Thor 1; Thor: The Dark World
Bonus: Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and/or 2
Wandavision
Necessary: Infinity War/Endgame; Age of Ultron
Helpful: Civil War; Captain Marvel
Bonus: Thor 1 or 2; Antman and the Wasp; X-Men DOFP or Apocalypse* *although maybe you’re actually better off without having seen these… less disappointment
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Necessary: Captain America Trilogy
Helpful: Infinity War/Endgame
Bonus: The post-credit scene of Black Panther
Loki
Necessary: Thor 1; Avengers 1; Endgame
Helpful: X
Bonus:  The Dark World; Ragnarok; the first 5 minutes of Infinity War
Hawkeye
Necessary: Endgame; Black Widow
Helpful: Age of Ultron; Avengers
Bonus: Daredevil
Moon Knight
Necessary: X
Helpful: X
Bonus: TFATWS (Madripoor is mentioned in an offhand comment)
Ms. Marvel
Necessary: X
Helpful: X
Bonus: Captain Marvel; any of the Avengers movies but esp. Endgame
With a few notable exceptions you really only NEED to have watched those properties that the movie/show is a direct sequel too. For those characters that have been around in the MCU a while that adds up. But it’s far from unreasonable to think that, for instances, the fourth Thor movie would expect you to have some knowledge of the previous Thor appearances.
On the other hand, the movies/shows on here that are about NEW characters, truly don’t require that much MCU knowledge to dive in. Eternals vaguely mentions the Blip but a 3 sentence summary of Infinity War/Endgame would suffice. Ms. Marvel expects that you know the Avengers EXIST and that Carol Danvers is a powerful superhero but really nothing else AND the show sets the stage well enough that if you had never heard of the MCU and started watching the show, there’s enough context to know what’s going on. Moon Knight truly is only connected to the MCU by ONE offhand reference to a fictional Marvel country.
So new characters are largely being made to stand on their own, and sequels are acting... like sequels.
The two notable exceptions are No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness which have a much higher number of references. But both of these were billed as big event movies. They’re in no way the norm. (And really MoM requires much less prior knowledge than it would have you believe.)
And honestly I’ve seen complaints in both directions-- the MCU is TOO interconnected and the MCU is really connected at all. But I don’t really give either side much credence because they’re doing a healthy mix of it. Some are tightly woven into a bunch of different threads. Some have a few carefully chosen connections. And some are pretty standalone, building their foundation before they start to weave their way in.

The MCU and Continuity Lockout
Prefacing with a TL;DR: The MCU is no longer accessible to casual Marvel fans as of phase 4, between the Snap and the TV shows entering movie canon.
(This post is spoiler-free!)
Okay so I was talking to my mom about this on the way home from Multiverse of Madness (which I’m still too mad to talk about tbh... so much for Marvel being my one cringe indulgence in 2022 😅), I mentioned how much harder it is to be a casual Marvel fan these days.
Or... pretty much any time since Endgame.
Not every fan of Marvel is someone who watches all the movies and TV shows. Some are just casual fans who watch the occasional movie. And pre-Endgame, that was still feasible.
For example, when Ant Man came out, my family ranged from no interest in superhero movies (dad) to casual Marvel fans who’ve seen the odd movie here and there (my sister and I), and you know what? Ant Man didn’t fall victim to the continuity lockdown! It didn’t really service the larger plot of the MCU, which is fine!! And my dad, who doesn’t give a damn about superhero movies, enjoyed it!
But post-Endgame, to understand where we are in the timeline, you usually at least need to know basic knowledge about the Snap, and/or the events leading up to it, and that’s just the start.
(More under the cut)
I counted and in order to fully understand the plot of Spiderman: No Way Home (which was in fact a great movie!), you’d need to have seen Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Spiderman: Homecoming, Infinity War, Endgame, and Spiderman: Far From Home.
That’s six movies just to understand the plot of one!
And that’s not even counting the 3 Tobey Maguire or 2 Andrew Garfield movies if you really want to fully know what’s going on.
Tying it back to Multiverse of Madness, now that the shows are officially canon to the MCU, it becomes even more complicated because the shows are Disney+ exclusive. In order to fully understand the plot of Multiverse of Madness, you need to see (at least) Doctor Strange, Infinity War, Endgame, AND WandaVision. Oh, and if you really want to get some of the fun cameos, you also need to have seen What if..?
Now, despite always being a casual fan, I got really into the MCU last January when I watched WandaVision (in case the URL didn’t give it away), and then my sister instigated a chronological watch of every single Marvel movie that’s come out to this point. And then once movie theatres opened back up, we went and saw nearly ever Marvel movie that came out last year (Black Widow, Shang-Chi... just not Eternals, blame Omicron!). It’s my most self-indulgent hobby, keeping up with the MCU.
But it’s not accessible to casual fans anymore.
And I think that’s a problem.
Not everyone CAN or WANTS to sit down and consume 20-odd movies to be entirely caught up on the MCU, plus countless hours of TV shows.
Not everyone CAN AFFORD or WANTS to pay for Disney+.
I’m not saying there shouldn’t be any continuity between all the different projects - in fact, one of my only complaints about Phase 4 so far is that it feels really disjointed and back to being a bunch of “solo” projects essentially with no coherent timeline or underlying plot - but the previous phases managed to MOSTLY stay accessible even as they were building up to Infinity War/Endgame.
I know Marvel is mostly just a corporate entity courtesy of Disney nowadays, but I just think it should have less continuity lockout so casual fans can continue to enjoy the MCU as much as the diehards.

This is completely unprompted but when I was younger the only two marvel super-heroes I knew were spider-man and the hulk. Everyone else was from dc. (Not that I was aware that there were comic book companies but w/e). I didn’t know Thor or Iron Man or Black Widow or Cap or Black Panther or anyone else lol. Obviously I was familiar with spider-man because of Tobey’s movies and it being superpopular with kids my age. However I was really familiar with the hulk too. His face was kind of everywhere that was related to fitness. And in commercials for “manly” things like cars and axe deodorant. There was (and still is lol) a famous football player nicknamed after the hulk because of how big he is. And it was my dream to go to the incredible hulk ride at universal studios bc every kid that got to go would come back bragging about it. And despite not reading comics, he kinda terrified me lol bc I was familiar enough with his story to know that he was a normal looking dude that would completely lose it from time to time. I’m saying this bc there was a time when the hulk was the second most popular marvel hero and I’d say he was in the top five most well known super-heroes (by the general public outside of America). He left an impression on people. So it baffles me how little marvel has explored this character. With each movie they let him fall further and further into the background. They completely stripped him from everything that made him interesting and turned him into a supporting character in everyone else’s story. I mean they had Ed Norton and then Mark Ruffalo who are both top tier actors and did nothing with it. The only time he got to shine was in the first Avengers and that was it. It really blows my mind lol. Like I can’t comprehend why they didn’t make better use of this character. He probably has the richest comic book history out of all the Avengers, second only to cap (bc he exists since literally WW2). So much stuff to work with and they did nothing? I don’t get it lol
omg hi anon i’m sorry this reply is so late!!
ALLLLL OF THIS!!!! bruce is so interesting and he gets paid DUST!!!!!
the hulk ride at universal omg…. i went there when i was 11 and was so excited to go on it only to be too terrified when i arrived and saw it irl 😭
i think one of the reasons that he’s fallen into the background is because a) marvel don’t know what to do with him and haven’t found a writer who does b) don’t have access to a lot of his material because he is still technically property of sony and c) moving him over to the mcu and recasting him wouldn’t have helped (even though i much prefer mark as bruce)
we need a dark and gritty origin movie for him in mcu canon. on a similar level of dark and mysterious as MoM was because i feel like bruce definitely would fit that kind of vibe in an origin story. i mean that line in A1 when he admitted to trying to take his own life…. fury, steve and tony just IGNORED that? they asked a mentally unstable man to relive his traumas over and over again in order to fight battles he didn’t even want to in the first place…
i say it all the time but it’s true: ragnarok is the ONLY exploration of bruce where we truly see his inner conflict and relationship with hulk - they work out their differences and we see both sides of their stories and bruce actually comes to terms with hulk being there and them trying to work together which is especially huge after the absolute shitshow he went through in AoU where he was terrified to live in case he hurt people. even that deserved more of an arc really, one that could’ve taken us to an even darker side of bruce and find him on rock bottom ready to work on himself and his relationship with hulk/hulk and the public.
i wish he would’ve gotten the treatment marc spector got. i wish they’d have known each other if i’m honest because they are the only ones that may be able to support and understand each other. and while i’m so glad we got the rep we did with how they handled marc’s character, i wanted that for bruce, too :(

Down Three Dark Streets
Tumblr media
According to Eddie Muller, and why would anybody doubt him, Arnold Laven’s DOWN THREE DARK STREETS (1954, TCM, because where else would I have heard him talk about it) was the first police film to pursue multiple plots, thus paving the way for such TV series as HILL STREET BLUES and NYPD BLUE. Broderick Crawford is an FBI boss in Los Angeles who inherits three cases from an agent who was shot down while investigating one of them. But which one? Is it the bogus car theft charge against an innocent man who refuses to clear himself because the criminals threatened his blind wife (Marisa Pavan)? The escaped killer whose girlfriend (Martha Hyer) lives in L.A.? Or the widow (Ruth Roman) being extorted with threats to kill her daughter? It all moves pretty quickly and has great atmospheric cinematography by Joseph F.  Biroc, including a well-done walk through a cemetery late at night, a shootout in an abandoned stable and a fight at the foot of the Hollywood sign.  Screenwriters Gordon and Mildred Gordon and Bernard C. Schonefeld have included some fun side characters like a restaurant cook who hopes finding a dead body will make him famous and a man who’s invented a spy-detecting radar gun that’s fingered his brother-in-law. Crawford is solid and specific as John Ripley, The Gordons’ recurring FBI agent, who also turns up played by Glenn Ford in EXPERIMENT IN TERROR (1962). The three women are a study in different acting styles. Pavan is natural as the blind woman who initially seems fragile but later displays a surprising level of cunning. Hyer seems to have been forced to do a Marilyn Monroe imitation but manages to turn it into a character, particularly when she talks about the impoverished childhood that led her to gladly accept a criminal’s expensive gifts. Roman has some effective moments, particularly dealing with her child and flirting with Crawford, but at times she seems to be substituting heavy breathing for acting. The cast also includes Kenneth Tobey, Max Showalter (billed as Casey Adams), Claude Akins, Stafford Repp and William Schallert.

My MCU Phase 4 MOVIE Ranking
Since MCU Phase 4 has come to a close, and I just watched Black Panther Wakanda Forever, I am going to give my ranking- did anyone need this? No. But I'm the one voluntarily choosing to state my opinions online.
DISCLAIMERS: not ranking the shows, just the movies- maybe I'll do a separate post for the shows?
I thought about it but I will be mentioning spoilers. I didn't know how else to rank them without using evidence from the films to back up my justifications.
The movies aren't in position of best-worst or anything like that, they are only just listed in the order they were released.
Okay, let's get into it.
Black Widow:
7/10, or maybe even 8/10 for me. Overall, I personally thought it was decent. I know there were a LOT of people who gave it negative reviews. I remember seeing so many bad things about it from people when it came out. But honestly, is it the worst thing Marvel has made? Imo, no. I won't get into the nitty gritty, or the Taskmaster stuff, but I liked getting to see Natasha again- even though we know this was before she died. And Florence Pugh as Yelena stole the show for me. Black Widow is (was?) also one of my favorite Avengers, so I personally have a soft spot in my heart.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings:
8/10 or maybe 8.5/10 for me. I am hesitant to push it toward a 9/10. Here's why and let me explain. I am aware that some people are THIRSTY for Tony Leung. I don't understand that, however it's your life, not mine. BUT I will say he did a damn good job being a complex character. I don't like him for giving Shang Chi trauma, but I think he did good being morally gray. Even though I got frustrated as F sometimes with his character. Shang Chi I actually liked. His dynamic with Katy? Great. I like Awkwafina tbh. Xu Xialing being the badass sister? Iconic. Although I hope she doesn't turn evil based off that post credit scene (another reason why I'm hesitant to give it a 9/10- I just want her to be good okay? Can't have TOO many morally complex people) The cinematography was great. Finally, as someone who is Asian (specifically Chinese0 but I was adopted) the Asian representation was decent. You know, it wasn't anything super mold breaking but for big names like Disney and Marvel, I give a nod.
Eternals:
3/10 or 4/10 at MOST. I honestly don't even remember most of this movie. I didn't even really have many expectations going into it, but.. yeah let's just say it was not my favorite. I didn't really like Sersi and Icarus together. I honestly felt like their characters were boring tbh. Druig and Makkari though? That's the REAL ship. And representation for the deaf! It's a start! Also, I will be crying eternally over Gilgamesh dying. The one thing about the plot that mainly interested me was Dane Whitman. I admit I am interested in seeing how the Black Knight storyline will be explored further. Other than that, Eternals was not really a memorable MCU film for me.
Spiderman No Way Home:
A solid 8/10. I think we can all agree this one was the MOST hyped up movie from Phase 4. Like ever. The hype was so real. I LIVED through it all. What a world to live in. Everyone was avoiding spoilers left and right. Anyway. I DID like the film overall since it continued the storyline of Peter's identity being discovered, and a bit of Dr. Strange's storyline. Obviously, the cameo from Tobey and Andrew was great to see. Although I admit I did not grow up watching Tobey and Andrew's versions of Spiderman, I felt the kind of "magic" experience of seeing the original folks back on screen permeate through me. HOWEVER. The only reason I cannot score this one any higher is because I didn't like the ending. I haven't really seen much and it has been a while, but do others hate the ending? What is the universal opinion? I may just look it up on a Reddit thread later. Anyway, I personally didn't like that ending. Why would you do the memory wipe trope??? I mean, was that actually the ONLY solution to Peter nearly tearing apart the space time continuum and fabric of the universe??? So Ned and MJ are just gonna have to continue on. I can't think about it too much or I may get emo actually. To end it on a good note, it was cool seeing the old villains from the universe as well.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness:
7/10. Yeah. I had to think for a second. But 7/10 feels right for this one. It wasn't really my favorite, but I didn't think it was the worst. And oh god, there seems to be a LOT of controversy around this one. By controversy, I also just mean basically mixed opinions. From what I've seen/heard, people either really hate this one or they're like, alright. It's mid. Also, for a movie that has Doctor Strange in the title, I sure did see the entire world talking mostly about Wanda. I don't know. It feels like this movie was just chaotic? Specifically in terms of the storyline, I mean. Like, I thought it was interesting that this was the movie they decided on to introduce America Chavez into the MCU. I think it could have been easier for people to follow maybe just one major character? So the focus isn't constantly shifting? Maybe that's just me. Also, is Stephen just destined to be alone now? Idk about the comics because I don't really read those, but like, I guess he's never ending up with Christine in any universe. Is the Darkhold like actually destroyed for real? What the fuck is the storyline now?? I've seen/heard rumors of the next movie actually being Dimension of Darkness (hence the post credit scene) but like what would the plot be? Again, I don't read the comics so idk if they touch on that, but yeah Doctor Strange's timeline/story and character arc is just one of the weirdest in the MCU for me I guess.
Thor Love and Thunder:
8/10. Yes, I WILL defend this movie. Despite it being another Phase 4 movie which got crapped on, I liked it. If Thor Love and Thunder has 100 fans, I am one of them. If Thor Love and Thunder has 10 fans, I am one of them. If Thor Love and Thunder has only 1 fan, I am that fan. You get the gist. I think people were just so shocked for once that it wasn't their usual type of superhero movie. First of all, what does that even mean. Just let people enjoy their silly little movies, damn. I will admit, was it the strongest plot? Meh. But I did enjoy the dialogue a lot. I liked seeing Thor, Jane, and Valkyrie again. If you can't even think of Korg without getting offended, then you can just leave. Also, Christian Bale did an amazing job at being a villain. I will give him that. I will say that was one of the highlights of this movie probably tbh. I was so shook. As someone who watched Newsies, I was just like "he was Jack Kelly and now he's this" LOL.
Okay. And I know- most of know by now that Jane died, and some people didn't like that- yeah, I was sad too- but I thought it made sense for her character. Like I said, I'll play the defender. Also, because I thought it was impactful about how it paralleled Gorr and Love's relationship. And it was a metaphor for her going to Valhalla. She died in her OWN battle. But yeah, the storyline now with Thor will be interesting. I wonder what his next adventure will be. And if there's people out there still pressed about this movie, I'll just say I don't think Taiki Waititi cares.
Black Panther Wakanda Forever:
8.5/10. I just recently watched this one and I am still processing it. So I may not have as many fully formed thoughts on this movie compared to the others, but if I were to give keywords, I would say impactful and emotional. I went on Instagram and Twitter and there seems to be a majority of people who liked it. However, the main negatives I saw were issues with Shuri or Riri. Which is a whole discussion within itself. Also the storyline and length. I understand people thinking it dragged on. I went with one of my friends to watch the movie and she told me afterwards it felt a bit long to her. I can get that. But I WOULD argue with you on the cinematography. I thought that visually the film was great. The underwater scenes were fine with me. The costuming as well. I thought it did fine honoring Chadwick Boseman. To those who say it wasn't enough for them though, I just have to ask, ok, what would you have done instead? Like, yeah I saw some people saying Riri shouldn't have been introduced in the movie, and Shuri should have just stayed a scientist. So what would YOU make the storyline? And that's all I have to say on that. Aside from that, the soundtrack was great though. Overall, I think this film was one of the best for me of Phase 4. And it was a beautiful way to end it.

ive been keeping up with the mcu much more in recent times. in 2021 i saw black widow (bad), shang chi (a serve) and nwh (didn’t love it but it was worth it for the cultural reset and i was so chuffed to see tobey back) in theaters. at home i have now seen eternals (recently. bad!!!) and kept up with moon knight (my absolute favourite mcu thing ever of all time. fucking ruled. ruled, i say). i can anticipate myself seeing thor love and thunder and i would go see multiverse of madness if i wasn’t flat broke. i’ve long been contemplating a catch-up rewatch of the entire mcu and now i have homies who want to do that with me so it’ll be sooner rather than later probably. i feel extremely lame about all of this but also defiant in the face of those who think it’s lame. the mcu is an amazing achievement in cinematic history and dunking on those who are into it is very boring and old hat. imagine such an interconnected universe of blockbusters only 20 years ago. it would be almost unthinkable. also i like seeing guys in fancy suits shooting powerful beams at evildoers.

and the “ugly” one wasn’t even ugly or even mid to begin with, so I felt so bad just quoting that.
When widows attacked Andrew Garfield’s good looks, they implied that they thought their favorite was not. This evidenced the total lack of arguments. And it was sad to see.

Arachnids Gotta Stick Together 🕷 P.2 | No Way Home Imagine
Contains spoilers for Spider-Man No Way Home
Tumblr media
Read Part 1 | Marvel Masterlist
Pairings: Tom!Peter Parker x Black Widow!reader (Platonic/sibling), slight Andrew!Peter Parker (flirtatious), Tobey!Peter Parker (platonic/), MJ Watson (platonic/sibling) Ned Leeds (platonic/sibling), Natasha Romanoff (sister), slight Doctor Strange (flirtatious)
Content warnings: 18+; mentions of child abandonment, child trafficking & violence against women (Red Room, Dreykov, Madame B.). implications of forced sterilization. talks of blood, violence and death. Near death experience. angst but happy ending (sorry if you cry) Implications to sex for like a split second | Female reader (she/her pronouns). | This is pretty long, read with caution.
Premise: Fighting multiversal villains was not something former Black Widow turned Avenger, Y/n L/n, signed up for. But when you’re looking after fellow arachnid superhero Spider-Man, anything is possible. Now the battle is on to cure these guys to prevent more harm from being done in New York City. Pasts are discussed, and a possibly future is put to the ultimate test.
Note: I tagged at the end everyone who commented on part 1 for part 2. I hope you all enjoy this.
———————
The Statue of Liberty was about to witness quite the chaos that would unfold on this cold, dark, evening. Four suited people stood on the scaffold of the renovations to the statue, three donning similar styled suits while one was equipped in every weapon one could think of.
Y/n was slowly pacing around the level while the three Spider-Mans set up the cures in various locations. Her Peter had just got off the phone with the Daily Bugle, Y/n wanting nothing more to punch the man breaking the story, and now it was the waiting game for the four of them.
‘God,’ she thought to herself, ‘I just can’t ever get one night off.’
“You okay?” A voice called out, her eyes landing on the taller Peter now out of his lab coat. He was staring at the older Peter, who was leaning against the railing with a distressed expression. Y/n leaned against one of the poles, arms crossed, watching the interaction unfold.
“Oh, my back. It’s stiff from all the swinging I guess.” “Oh yeah—no I got a middle back pain too.” “Really?” “Yeah! Yo-You want me to crack it?” “Yeah…That would be great.”
Y/n had to hold back a laugh at the sight of Peter (3) lifting Peter (2) in his arms and shaking him until a nice *crack* sounded from his back. “Wow,” Peter (2) says when he’s set back down. “That’s good.”
“Yeah?” Peter (3) smiles, pleased when the man gives him another nod. Y/n chuckles, turning away slightly to look to the city while Peter (3) probs himself on one of the lower railings. “God, this is so cool. I always wanted brothers.” There was a slight pause before he looks at the older man with a hint of excitement. “So you can like make your own web fluid in your body.”
Immediately Peter (2) is dismissing his words. “I’d rather not talk about this.”
“No, I don’t mean to…”
“Are you teasing me?”
“No, no, no,” Peter (1) steps in from above the statue. “No, no, no. He’s not teasing you. It’s just that..we can’t do that so naturally we’re curious as to how your webbing situation works. That’s all.” Y/n again has to hold back from laughing at what she was witnessing.
“If it’s personal, I don’t want pry. I just think it’s cool.” “I wish I could tell you, but it’s like I don’t do it. Like I don’t—-like, I don’t do breathing—like breathing just happens.” “Woah….”
“Like does it just come out of your wrists….” Peter (1) trails off, making Y/n automatically know what he was trying to imply. ‘Peter…’ she warns but he doesn’t hear it. “Or…does it come out of anywhere else?”
“Only—only the wrists,” Peter (2) looks rather disturbed by what the question was implying.
“You’ve never had a web block?” Peter (3) cuts in. “Cause I run out of webs all the time. I mean—,” he holds his hands up to emphasis his words. “I had to make my own in a lab. And it’s a hassle.”
“That sounds like a hassle, yeah,” The mans tone is rather smug, happy to not have to do what the others have to. “But-but I did, actually. You said that and I was like ‘oh!’ I had a web block.”
“Wooah,” Peter (3) hums with curiosity. “Why? What caused it?” The question has Peter (2) waving his hands in the air.
“Uh existential crisis stuff.”
Peter (3) snorts, letting out an understanding sigh. “Don’t get me started on that.” He turns to Y/n, who had been quiet while watching the interaction with amusement. “What about you Black Widow? Can you make webs? I mean—I mean you are named after a spider.”
Y/n raises her brow, a small smirk forming on her face. “I’m afraid not, Spider-boy,” he frowns at the nickname. “I wasn’t bitten like you guys, and I don’t make web fluid—in my body or in a lab. We leave that to trouble up there,” she nods her head to where Peter (1) was seated, the boy yelling out an offended ‘Hey!’
“So how did you get the name Black Widow?” Peter (2) asks. “I know he mentioned earlier something about trained assassins.” He then raises his hands and cautiously says “I understand though if you don’t want to talk about it.”
Y/n thinks for a moment, before sighing. ‘It’s not like they’ll be staying once this is over,’ she thinks. Y/n glances to her hands, fumbling with her gloved fingers. “You boys want to hear a little story of a girl who was a dreamer?” She waited for their replies, the two saying yes and she takes a deep breath before exhaling.
“The best way to describe Black Widows are girls who were stripped of their free will, and made to become their worst nightmare. Because what we were made to do would stick with us when we tried to sleep at night.” Y/n pauses letting the information sink in for the three. Peter (1) had some idea of Y/ns past, but she always kept things from him to not make him look at her different.
Now he was going to find out everything he was ever wondered about.
They noticed how her accent seemed to thicken with each word. Voice low as though she were narrating a book. “My mother had me young and out of wedlock. She couldn’t take care of me—post Soviet life in Russia was hard as you can imagine. My mother wanted me to have a life she knew she couldn’t provide me so when I was around eight months old, she gave me to what she thought was an adoption agency. They had compensated her for it, but warned her she would never come in contact with me again and to not go looking in the future. What my mother didn’t know was she had actually given me over to an operative of the K.G.B.
“They operated a program called the Black Widow ops and would send girls to the Red Room academy. These girls,” she paused, taking a moment before finally speaking. “These girls were orphaned or abandoned. Some were picked based on genetic potential as infants and often there were girls taken by force from their families.”
Y/n didn’t look at the men, she could only assume what their expressions were. And by their quietness and lack of interruption they didn’t know what to say—to overcome by the information they were hearing.
“It was in the Red Room that I underwent psychological conditioning—brainwashing, I was cuffed to the bed at night to prevent from escaping. We had to do gymnastics, ballet—on top of learning how to use ever weapon you could think of. While little girls were supposed to be learning how to ride bikes and go to school, we were learning how to become killers.” Y/n closed her eyes, her mind doing back to the dark days of her torture. She could still hear the screams of the people she was forced to kill in training, and then painful final assessment that led to the graduation ceremony.
“To give you an example of how brutal the Red Room was, only one in twenty girls would survive the training to become that generations Widow. Most of these girls who didn’t make it died because of failed experiments scientists were doing, the leaders in charge killed them for breaking the rules, or they died because the handlers made us fight each other until the weaker one of the two was killed by their opponent. And if you’re assuming what I think you are,” she finally looked at them, keeping her face blank, “then the answer is yes, because I’m standing in front of you, aren’t I?”
She didn’t wait for their answer. “I became a Widow once I passed the final tests—physical and mental, where I then underwent the graduation ceremony. And no, it’s not like how you would think a graduation ceremony would be—-I don’t recall one getting their reproductive organs removed when they finish school.” Silence filled the scaffold. The air was thicker and more tense. No one really know how to react.
But they were the ones who wanted to know.
Peter (3) was the first to say anything. “That’s awful. I-I—I just—.” The words wouldn’t come out. He couldn’t believe all he was hearing. It was sickening to him to know there were people so cruel that could take young girls against their will and force them to become assassins. Stripping them of their morals and mind—it was disgusting.
Peter (2) was in agreement. The reality of what Y/n and those girls had endured making his heart break in two. How could someone do such a thing? It was a concept he couldn’t get his mind wrapped around. “No one knew this was happening?” It made him angry to think there were girls and young women out there being trafficked in plain sight.
“There were people,” Y/n shrugged. “But they didn’t say anything. Dreykov—the leader at the time, was a powerful man who had connections and resources. People were easily bribed. And you have to remember, they didn’t see anything wrong with it. To them, we would bring them more power and could infiltrate any nation they wanted.”
“How did you get out?” Peter (3) wonders. He noticed her face fall, frown forming and glancing at the ground like a pained memory had just resurfaced.
“Uh,” she hesitates, taking another breath. “My sister, Natalia—well she changed it to Natasha—she was a widow a few generations before me. We were assigned as children with two other agents to go undercover in Ohio back in the nineties. We had another little ‘sister’ Yelena—she went on to become a Widow after me. Our assigned ‘mother’ Melina and assigned ‘father’ Alexi were close with Dreykov, so he assigned us all to infiltrate the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. After the mission Natasha went on to become the best Widow the Red Room ever produced, then I came along two years later and Yelena was long after.
“Natasha defected to America with the help of S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Clint Barton. Together with the agency they formed a plan to take down Dreykov and disband the Red Room. Natasha found me in Budapest and got me out before bombing the building Dreykov was in. We all thought he was dead. When they brought me to America I had to go through all types of evaluations and restrictions because of my record with the Red Room. Finally after almost two years they felt I was trusting of joining their ranks.
“I became an Agent for them with Natasha and we then joined the Avengers after that—until shit happened in twenty-sixteen. Nat was on the run from the government and found out along the way that Dreykov was alive and operating the Red Room once again. Yelena was the one who told her after she tracked her down. They called me and I was to them on the next flight out—determined to stop the man again. It was like everything we did in Budapest was for nothing. He had gotten right back to work and had destroyed the lives of thousands of young girls in just ten years.”
“But you took him down!” Peter (1) exclaims, wanting to lighten the mood and make it known that asshole couldn’t hurt anymore people. “You and Agent Romanoff! It’s because of you two that no girl will ever go through that.” Y/n smiles at his words, pushing off the pole to get a better look at him.
“You damn right we did, little spider,” her voice is full of pride. “And I’ll do it again if I have to. And we didn’t do it alone,” Y/n trails off, looking at the other Peters to see they were glancing at her in awe. “We had some help, and it’s because of them the Red Room is finally gone. Once and for all.”
Peter (3) grins, “That’s amazing—you’re amazing! I know I already said that but like—like honestly, I wanna be you when I grow up.”
Y/n raises her brow, head tilting a bit. “Are you calling me old.” He realizes his mistake and immediately starts stuttering.
“No! No, no, no!—dah-ah that’s not what I’m saying. I’m sorry,” his face was turning red. “I don’t think you’re old—I.” Her laugh cuts him off, ears going pink and hot with embarrassment.
“Oh, Spidey, I’m just messing with you. I mean, don’t get me wrong—I know I’m probably older than you, but seeing you get so flustered was very entertaining.”
“Oh,” the young man was pouting, rubbing the back of his neck.
“But he is right,” Peter (1) called from above, capturing her attention. “You are amazing, Y/n. And those Widows you and Natasha freed have you to thank for giving them another path in life. You saved them.”
Her face softens, looking at the boy with gratitude. “Thank you, little spider. And hey, we would’ve never met if Nat wasn’t my saving grace. Although sometimes you make me regret ever taking you under my wing with all the trouble you get into.” Her tone was teasing, eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Hey!” He yells again. “You’re the one who said us arachnids gotta stick together. It’s only fate we would be friends.”
“I know, little spider. I know.
Time seemed to pass quicker than the four could expect. Chaos unfolded and they were head to head with three of the five villains—although Peter had said one had been cured earlier so there was only Osborn left to appear. Y/n had lost Peter (1) shortly after they prevented the Lizard dude from hurting Ned and Mj. Now Y/n was bleeding from her forehead and leg after the creature managed to swipe her with his claws.
“Y/n, are you okay?” Mj asked, placing a hand on her shoulder when they finally caught up to her. Peter had caught the cure Mj threw at him and was waiting for Connors to reform to his human self.
The Widow winced, hand cupping her temple and pulling back to see her black glove was wet. “Shit,” she mumbled, but shook the pain off. “Yeah-yeah I’m fine. I’ve been through worse. It’s not too serious.” She then looks over the two teens. “What about you guys—you both fine?”
“Yeah,” Ned nods, “We’re good.” Mj holds the box in her hand, seeing how the Peters were dealing with Max and Connors was still transforming.
“We gotta hide this thing!”
“Oh right!” Ned turns to the side, Y/n finally noticing the familiar ring on his hand and is stunned when he circles his arm to form a familiar glowing portal. It opens, causing the teens to cheer but it is short met when the one and only Doctor Stephen Strange stumbles out.
And he was pissed.
“Where is her?” His voice was menacing, put up with having been stung up for over a day. Strange then sees the box and wields it back to him—along with the sling ring, causing the two to gasp.
“Wait—wait!” “Before you do anything—Mr. Strange-sir! P-Peter’s plan is working!”
The sorcerer is stopped in his tracks. “What plan?”
“He’s curing them!” Ned steps to the side allowing Strange to see the scene unfold. Peter (1) was standing before a cloud of blueish green smoke, the fog evaporating to reveal the transforming form of lizard skin to human on Dr. Connors.
“Well I’ll be damned,” Strange mutters, impressed by what he was seeing. His attention then turns to Ned, the boy slightly stepping back by his gaze. “Did you just open a portal?”
“Yes-yes sir I did,” The boy was scared for his reaction, and was surprised to hear the man let out an impressed ‘humph’ before moving past him. Ned and Mj share a knowing look, while Strange finally takes notice to the Avenger standing to the side with blood on her face.
“Y/n?” Stranges’ voice is full of surprise, but then his shoulders deflate. “I should’ve known he’d call you.”
The woman scoffs. “He didn’t. I had to track him down after seeing the shit unfold on Tv.” she let her eyes travel along his figure, smirk making its way on her features. “Nice to see you finally found your way back, Stephen.”
This makes the man consort into slight annoyance and offense. “Wait you knew what he did and didn’t bother to find me? Or make this kid,” he gestures to Ned, “Open a portal to do it?” Another scoff leaves her mouth.
“You’re not exactly my favorite person right now, Stephen. After all, you never called me after what I thought was a nice night we shared.”
Neither see the shocked looks from the teens behind them, neither do the teens see the blush rising on Strange’s cheek which was so unlike him. “I’ve been a little busy, Y/n.” His words make her roll her eyes and reply, “yeah? Well so have I.” She goes to turn away from him, but stops and gives him one last look—tone going rather low. “Make it up to me and maybe I’ll let it slide. But you won’t get another chance after that, magic man.”
“Duly noted,” he says under his breath when she passes by him to go to the teens, who were still frozen by what they had witnessed. Strange leaves them, opening a portal to the top of the scaffold where the other Peters had just successfully cured Max.
Silence filled the three, until Mj leaned over and said, “So you and Strange, huh?” Y/n sighed, eyes closing briefly before looking at her saying, “it was once or twice. Nothing really serious.”
They watch the scene between Strange and Peter from a few feet away, having moved closer when it looked like Strange was about to complete the ritual. It all turns sideways when a menacing ‘Can the Spider-Man come out to play?’ Fills the area and Norman is racing towards Strange on his glider.
The box is pushed from his hands, Norman fleeing away but is prevented when Doctor Octavius clings to the glider with a mechanical tentacle. It gives Strange time to take the box back, and Y/n raises her arm to shoot a Widow’s bite disk. It flies in the air but Norman moves before it could hit him—-the glider spinning around and cutting the tentacle allowing him to flee. She shoots another, but it again misses. “Shit,” she hisses when gets away.
Time seemed to still when all eyes went to Strange. Unbeknownst to him and everyone watching from afar, the spider-senses were going off in all three Spider-Man’s. Their senses was answered by the bright green glow of a pumpkin bomb hidden within relic.
“STRANGE NO!!!”
The world around goes into flames, people flying by the force of the impact. Y/n stumbles, hands going to Ned and Mj to stabilize them when the copper shield being held by Lady Liberty dismantles. It falls through the scaffold, and the trio are the first to face the destruction.
Mj loses her balance, causing Y/n to grunt and catch her but the ground was shaking. It would cave any moment and Y/n had to think fast. Remembering she had one last grappling hook in her wrist, she unlatches it and secures the device onto Mj. The ground shakes again, pushing them backwards causing the girl fall, but Y/n launches the hook—mounting it to the pole across the platform.
What she didn’t anticipate was for herself to lose footing and fall with the girl. Mj screamed, reaching her hand out for the woman but is unable to catch her. Time seemed to slow even more. “Y/n!!!!!”
Debris falls from the sky with her. She hadn’t felt this type of fear in so Iong. Not even when fighting with Thanos was she scared they would lose. Going back in time? Not a problem. Fighting an army of robots? Piece of cake. But falling to her death without anything to secure her.
That instilled fear in the Black Widow.
She wondered if this feeling was what Natasha had when she fell from the tower in Volmir. Watching Clint from above while the ground waited for her. Alone while the world stilled around her.
Having heard Mj’s scream and witnessing the woman fall, Peter (1) launches through the railing. *Beat* *Beat* what was that thumping sound he was hearing? It was constant. Slow.
*beat* *beat*
Y/n could hear it too.
*beat* *beat*
Oh…it was the sound of their hearts. Pounding from their chests.
One from watching the last of their family fall to their death. The other from seeing their family fall with them.
Peter (1) extends his hand, inches from brining Y/n to safety when pain hits his side and she’s gone from his sight. Y/n gasps, fear heightening watching Peter (1) get pulled away by the goblin. No longer did she care about what happened to her—she accepted what was about to happen.
All that mattered to her was Peter.
She didn’t even hear the scream Peter (3) had let out and flinging himself over the platform. It wasn’t until she heard debris being smacked away and arms around her waist she finally turned to see Peter (3) had curled his body around her so they would turn upright. A web shot from his wrist to the top of the scaffold, and they descended until his feet hit the ground.
The world that had stopped suddenly hit play. Pants left her mouth, eyes closing to catch her breath—not opening until a soft voice said, “a-are you okay?”
She’s met with the tear-stricken face of Peter 3. His lip was quivering, eyes full of both fear and relief as he looked at her. His reaction to catching her surprised Y/n and she nodded to him—gratitude filling her. “Yes, I’m okay,” she then brings her hand up to guide his eyes back to her when he looks away—seeing the tear fall from his cheek. “Hey, are you okay, Spidey?”
The tone she had was comforting, and despite the emotion filling his veins, Peter manages to nod. He sets her down gently, and is surprised when her arms go around his neck to pull him into a hug. “I know enough about body language and emotion to know something must’ve happened in order for you to have that reaction. I’m sorry for your loss, I have some understanding of it.”
Oh how she truly did.
Peter (3) hugs her back, his head going to the crook of her neck and relishing in her warmth. He didn’t know who or what she lost, but knowing she understood gave him comfort. She waits until he pulls away, raising on her toes—cause even in her boots he was taller than her by several inches—and kisses his cheek, not caring about the tears in the way. “Thank you,” she softly tells him, making sure to show how appreciative she was for him saving her.
“Y-you’re welcome.” His voice cracked making her squeeze his hand.
“Forgive yourself for what ever is hurting you, Peter. Keeping it within will only suffocate you—you deserve better than that.” The hand she was holding squeezed back, Peter giving her a look of thanks.
It was something the man needed to hear. And he made a silent promise to himself to do so—not let the guilt eat him up any longer.
She leaves him when Peter (2) catches up, the three moving towards the shield where Peter (1) had just crashed with Osborn. “Y/n!?!” Peter screams, standing to his feet. Relief comes to him when he sees her approaching Mj and Ned.
“I’m okay, милый! (Darling).” She calls back. Y/n turns her attention back to the teens. “Are you both okay?” They both nod to her and she sighs in relief, not seeing any injuries on them.
Commotion soon fills their ears, turning to see Peter (1) was putting everything in him in a final fight with Norman Osborn. Y/n felt herself moving when Peter suddenly lifted the glider in the air, aiming it at the fallen man. Peter 2 had the same idea, jumping in front to stop Peter (1) from making the fatal blow.
Y/n broke through the debris, standing on top of a pile with a firm gaze on the boy. “Peter stop!!” That seemed to make him stiffen, a pained grunt leaving his lips. She couldn’t see his face as his back was top her, but by his shaking body she knew he was dealing with conflict. A feeling she had dealt with all her life. “Peter,” she said again but more gently. “Don’t.”
Seconds ticked before the glider fell his hands with a loud, *clank*. Everyone was relieved, but it was short lived when a blade meets Peter 2s back. He falls backward, Norman standing with a knife in his grasp—looking menacing as he stares down at the young Peter.
“She was there because of you,” the Goblin taunts. “I may have struck the blow, but you…you are the one that killed her.”
Before Y/n could tell Peter the mans words were untrue, the cure containing the anti-serum flew past her into Peter (1)s outstretched arm. The needle embeds into Normans skin, releasing green liquid into his veins. He stumbles back with the syringe is pulled away, and immediately there’s a noticeable change in him.
It’s as if the Goblin hadn’t even been there.
While the Peters tend to the fallen Spider-Man, the sound of glass shattering pulls Y/ns attention to the sky. Her eyes meet with purple cracks, filled with bright white orbs taking the shape of humans. “Oh shit,” she mumbles, moving away from the shield to get a better look.
She finds Strange floating in the air, arms glowing orange as he attempts to stop the cracks from breaking. Peter swings by her, going to speak to the man. From her place on the ground, she could hear the details of the conversation, but eventually it ends with Peter swinging back to the shield.
“Uhh I-I think this is it—I think you’re about to go home.” Y/n moved a little closer so she was standing on the pile of rubble near the ledge. “Umm, look-I. Uh, thank you. I just wanna—I. I want you—.” The boy was having trouble saying the words, making the two men look at him fondly. “I want to tell you that. I-I really don’t know how to say this—.”
“Peter,” he’s stopped by the soft voice of Peter 3, making him look up to see they were smiling at him.
“You know,” Peter 2 tells him. “It’s what we do.”
The words spoke a thousand words. Peter (1) filled with gratitude, smiling at those who brought so much impact to him in so little time. “Yeah, It’s what we do.” A small moment passes before he shakes knowing he doesn’t have much time left. “Um-right I-I gotta find Ned and Mj. I-ah,” he had stepped back to leave, but hurls forward to bring the men into a hug—which they welcome with open arms.
Overlooking from above, Y/n watches the display with soft eyes. When she watches them break away, Peter gives them one last look saying, “I guess-I guess I’ll see you.” The boy turns, stopping when he sees her and Y/n tilts her head when she sees his face fall—almost like he was in pain by seeing her.
She carefully looks to the two men behind him, calling out “Hey, Spiders!” They raise their heads and she gives a knowing nod. “You boys did good. Might even call yourselves an Avenger now that you’ve got a taste of the chaos this world seems to always have.”
They both feel the grins on their face, thanking her and bidding goodbye when she gives one last wave. Peter (1) then approaches, his voice rushed and wavered. “Can I-I talk to you real quick?” Y/n frowns by the sudden rush in his manner. He leads her to a corner by the statue, away from everyone else although they still had view of Strange, who was now casting ruins in the sky—-the cracks slowly disappearing.
“Hey,” she says to him when they finally stop. “What’s gotten into you? What’s wrong?”
If one said they could feel their heart literally break in two Peter would say he believed them. Because that was the only thing filling him when he stared at the woman in front of him.
The women who took him under her wing when he was a young eager sixteen year old wanting to be an Avenger like his hero Iron Man. Who held him as he cried and nursed his injuries after almost dying when Adrian Toomes tried to kill him. The Black Widow, who’s heart was made of steel yet could bring out the glow and warmth whenever he was in need of help—whether it be fighting bad guys or giving advice. She was the one who risked everything to go back in time and make sure the snap was reversed—all so he could come home.
Y/n L/n was his sister. The only family he really had left and he was about to say goodbye.
“Strange can fix it,” he finally finds his voice. “Fix what I messed up. Everyone from those universes won’t come here and it will all be okay.”
Y/n couldn’t understand how that was making him upset. “Okay,” she trails off warily, “That’s great. No more chaos,” she wanted to laugh, but his reaction was starting to scare her. “Why is that making you look upset?”
He couldn’t really think of the words to say just yet, so he let his heart do the speaking. “I don’t think I ever thanked you. You-you know for everything.” The memories of the years played in his mind like a movie. “You’ve always been there for me-you’ve always helped me when I needed you most. Even when I made mistakes and you should’ve been mad at me—you always knew how to fix it, and made me feel like I didn’t disappoint you. So thank you, Y/n. Thank you for being the best—and for always believing in me. I wouldn’t be the Avenger cut out for this world if it wasn’t for you.”
Now she was starting to fear what he was trying to tell her. The intuition in her was going off like alarms in her head. Her voice went low, “Why are you sounding like this is goodbye, Peter?”
“I-I-I,” he holds back a sob, gulping it down. “It’s gonna be okay, Y/n. Strange can fix it…..but you’re gonna—you’re gonna,” he didn’t want to say the words and make it true. But there was no other way. “B-but you’re going to forget me. You won’t have any memory of me.”
The words have Y/n stepping back, brow raised like she wan’t believing what she was hearing. “What?” Her tone was low, but slowly rose at her next question. “Wh-what the hell do you mean I’m going to have no memory of you, Peter? Do you hear what you’re saying.”
“Y/n—.”
“No be quiet! The adult is talking.” She yells, holding her finger up and Peter wanted to cry at the use of Tonys old saying when would scold him. “You just lost your aunt—the last of your family. And now you’re telling me that I—who loves and cares for you and needs to be there for you to get through this, is going to have no memory of you. After everything? No, I won’t accept that, Peter.”
He could see her getting angry and stepped forward, but she had stepped back not wanting him to get close until he explained more in-depth what he meant. “Everyone was coming because they knew Peter Parker, Y/n. To stop them from coming the only way is to make them forget I am Peter Parker. And that includes everyone here too.”
“No,” she shakes her head, not liking any of it.
“Y/n please,” he pleases to her. “It will break reality if Strange doesn’t do that spell—It’s my fault this is happening in the first place!”
This only angers her more, and she brings her hands to his shoulder—albeit gently so they were eye level. “That doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your happiness to fix it Peter. You shouldn’t have to make that risk—It’s not fair to you. Okay! You’re too young and—-.”
“It has to be, Y/n” Strange cuts in, having heard the conversation from above. She spins around, face livid and staring at him like she wants to send him a good taste of Widows Bite.
“Don’t start lecturing me about the greater good, Strange.”
He continues to make the ruins, setting up so it was ready. “One reality cannot be spared in order to prevent the others from collapsing. We can’t risk breaking the multiverse—it will end in chaos.” The man was not happy either by what he had to do, but if he didn’t then they would be doomed. The fate of multiple universes was in his hands.
“There has to be something you can do Strange—what about Wong!? Why can’t you get everyone together and do something without making him lose everyone?”
“There is no time!” He finally shouts, nearly finishing the last of the ritual. Strange could see her holding back tears, and although the man has come to care for the Black Widow, the decision was made.
“I don’t care!” She screams back, “I’m not loosing him too! Dammit Strange he needs me—he needs us!”
“I’m almost done, Peter. You need to get out of here soon.” Strange gives up arguing with the woman, aware Peter still had his friends to say goodbye too.
“No!” She dejects in anger. “You cast that spell and I will never forgive you for this! You hear me! I—”
“Y/n,” the pain in Peter’s voice stops her from screaming the last of her sentence. Spinning around, she watches him step forward posture straight despite looking like he wanted nothing more than to break down and cry. He gently smiles, not covering the pain hidden behind it. “When you and T-tony,” he starts, eyes filling with tears. “When you and Tony went back in time to get the stones, you knew what the risks and possible costs were, right?”
She wasn’t following along with him, face tilting, “Wh-what?” She let out an unhumorous laugh, “Yes, yes of course we did.”
He takes another breath, “You went back knowing what it could cost you if something went wrong. And it did, you lost Nat—a-and Tony.” A tear falls, “B-but you knew—you knew that something like that could happen when you agreed to get the stones. You did it because you wanted to save us—save me.” He takes another step while his voice cracks, watching how she seemed to catch on.
Her head was shaking like she didn’t want to hear what he was about to say—her bottom lip quivering.
“It was worth it. You saved us because we were worth it—saved me, because I was worth it.” Peter pauses, another flow of tears falling from his cheeks.
By now Y/n was holding in her emotion with everything she had, but it was slowly falling apart. Peter’s words were hitting her, and she knew where he was going with it—but it was just to painful to accept.
The silence spoke volume, but Peter eventually breaks it with the final blow—causing the Black Widow made of marble to finally crumble. “So let me save you all. Because they are worth it—You, you are worth it, Y/n.”
One Week Later
The snow was sticking, winter finally arriving in the streets of New York. The city was full of life, no one giving him a second glance as Peter Parker made his way down the avenue not too far from where Avengers tower once stood.
The address was in his pocket, praying it was still the right one though it was giving to him just a few weeks prior in case he ever needed a place to hide out or stop by and visit when she was in town. He only prayed she would be there today.
Crossing the road, Peter approaches the row of townhouse styled apartments. There was a gate separating the sidewalk from the front lawns, so Peter lifted the metal handle and made his way through the yard until he was up the steps of the front porch.
He went to knock, but was stopped by a robotic voice next to his ear. “Please state your name.” He looked around, seeing no one behind him and realized it was from the intercom beside the mailbox. There was a small blinking light above it, and what assumed to be a small microphone.
Peter cleared his voice. “Uhh, Peter Parker.” There was a moment of silence before the voice spoke again.
“Hello, Peter Parker. Please indicate your reason for coming to this estate.” He felt himself panic a little, but then remembered why he was doing it in the first place and felt his confidence return.
“I-I’m here to see Miss. L/n—Y/n L/n. Is she here today? I-I may have gotten the wrong address.” Another pause. “One moment please.”
There was a buzz and the door opened revealing the entrance to the home. There was a circular staircase in the middle leading to the higher levels, and Peter walks in adjusting the backpack containing his Stark tech and suit on his shoulder. There was no one in his peripheral vision, but soon the silent hallway is filled with the clacking of what he assumed was familiar heeled boots.
The nerves in Peter rose, clutching onto his backpack when a shadow caught his eye in a doorway. The shadow was then replaced by the appearance of the one and only Y/n L/n. She was wearing a simple sweater and jeans, but her favorite boots were on her feet. It was a sight Peter didn’t see too much, because normally she was always geared up when he saw her.
Her stare was blank, filling him with even more nerves. “Peter Parker you said your name was?” The tone gave him chills. No trace of warmth like he was usually met from the woman he came to see as a sister. It broke his heart, witnessing how Strange’s spell did work, and she like everyone else forgot about him.
He stuttered, realizing he hadn’t said anything and she had raised her brow at him suspiciously. “Y-yes. Yes ma’am, I am. I’m Peter,” he trails off, feeling his heart clinch when she gave no reaction. “Peter Parker.”
“I don’t recall ever giving this address to a Peter Parker,” she moves closer, arms crossed and peering at him like she was trying to map him out. “Let alone knowing one,” This woman was a spy he remembered. And trust was earned not given out—so it’s no surprise she would be alarmed a random teenager knew her address. “How did you know about this place, kid? And know I’d be here?”
“Umm,” he tries to find the words, but failing and looking around to avoid her narrowed gaze. “I’m sorry—I’m sorry, It’s just that—um.” He looks back at her, face turning red. “You might not believe me when I tell you this, but you gave me this address. About a month ago actually, you did.”
He’s not surprised when she just looks at him confused, her stance stiffening. “I gave you this address?” She repeats, like she didn’t believe him. “I think I’d know, kid, if I gave you my address. I know you probably have read about me given schools now teach about my colleagues and I, but I would advise you not to go looking for the Avengers. Most of us are private people—like myself, so the fact you have it makes me wonder how you got it, because I know I didn’t for a fact it wasn’t me.”
Peter sighs, knowing convincing a former Black Widow was easier said than done. It was gonna take something else for her to possibly remember him.
“Miss L/n—ma’am,” he stops when he makes eye contact with Y/n. Whatever he was about to say got lost in his throat, unable to say the truth he was desperately wanted to give her. All he could see was is idol, the person he would always hope to make proud.
Even if she saw him as a stranger.
A small but sad smile forms on his face, his shoulders deflating. “You know what—I-I. I’m sorry for bothering you, Ms L/n,” he holds back the tear wanting to escape from his eye. “I shouldn’t have—I’m sorry.” He goes to wipe the tear when it falls, noticing how her eyes seemed to soften and body relaxed from its defensive stance.
“I’ll leave you alone,” he adjusts his bag, voice wavering with emotion. “It’s just that—um, I wanted to say,” it was now or never. “I wanted to say that us arachnids gotta stick together. You know?” With that he moves to leave, bidding her goodbye once and for all.
It was like her brain had been rewired and was putting back the gears that had stopped turning. Peter could see her face turn, mix emotions sweeping though her as it went from confusion to startled. Like she was trying to figure out why his words struck her.
“W-wait. Wait.” Y/n stops him from turning and leaving, face puzzled. “Where did you hear that?” Her head was spinning, unbeknownst to the boy, as though her brain was trying to tell her something. There were gaps in her memory, slowly filling leaving her with a tsunami of emotions.
Peter fills hope rise in him, his heart pounding like he was waiting for it to either rip from his chest or break into pieces. “It’s something you told me once in awhile. That us arachnids gotta stick together.”
Y/n lets out a choked gasp, hand shaking while the gaps continued to fill. “But, but that would mean—,” she shakes her head, as if she couldn’t believe what was happening. “If you know that then—you—.” *beat* *beat*
“—You’d have to be….”
*beat* *beat*
Peter closed his eyes. Feeling the pounding of his heart.
*beat* beat*
Her pained filled gasp reached his ears. “Oh my God.”
*beat* *beat*
“Peter?”
And when arms were suddenly pulling him in—making his head go to her shoulder in a hug worth a thousand words, Peter Parker finally felt some peace.

"MJ, I have no clue what to do." you sighed, pacing your bedroom. MJ sat on your bed cross legged. "Have you tried talking to him again?" she asked. "I mean yeah, but I feel weird." "Why?" "I don't know. Whenever I see him I either feel like I'm going to throw up, pass out, piss myself, or all three at the same time." "Oh so you've got it bad for him," MJ laughed. "I can't let myself do this. He's from another universe! He's 28! He has a life back in his universe. He needs to go back to his universe. God- he's Peter, MJ! You know how weird that is?"
You were too busy wrapped in your thoughts that you almost missed the knock on your door.
MJ followed you out to your kitchen and watched from the kitchen island. You opened the door. "Speak of the devil," MJ muttered. You flicked a salt and pepper shaker with your magic from across the island and hit her elbow.
"Peter!"
Oh my god that was way too energetic
"Hey, everything okay?" he asked. You looked at him confused. "Yeah? Why wouldn't it be?" "I don't know, I got a weird feeling. I thought I should check on you."
"Weird feeling, or did you just want an excuse to see her?" MJ asked from behind, chewing on a cookie she found. "MJ!" you gritted through your teeth. "Sorry about her she's just..." you laughed it off. "Oh," Peter 3 laughed. He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "You want to come in?" you asked. What the hell am I doing?
"Oh, I mean it looks like you have company."
"You can come back later," MJ yelled again. "MJ, can you go check my, uh, phone in the bedroom?" "Why?" she smirked. "Make sure it's still charging." you gritted, crossing your arms.
"I'm sorry about her she's... quite a character." you laughed. "Oh, it's alright. But what she said- later? I would love- I-I mean like to see you again." he said, staring at his shoes and trying to muster the courage to take a glimpse of you. He was very visibly nervous. "That would be nice." you smiled. "Thank you for checking on me," you smiled. "Anytime I mean- do you have a phone? I mean of course you do but," "You want my number?"
Internally. Screaming.
"Yes, actually. That would be great."
You pulled the pad of pen and scribbled it down on a post it.
"See you later?" "I'll text you."
You closed the door and ran into your bedroom, squealing. "OHMYGOD MJ t-this doesn't feel real HOLY SHIT!"
"Wait-" she said, shushing you. Your door was knocking again.
It was Peter, again.
"I-I'm sorry but the last digit got smudged and-"
Oh shit. Did he just hear me?
"Oh, uh it's okay. Here," you awkwardly laughed. Your face was bright red. You re wrote the number and handed the piece of paper back to him. Your hands touched for a moment, and you felt your witch senses go off. You were surprised you didn't shock the poor boy then and there. You saw the hair raise on his arm. He sensed it?
"Okay," he said, smiling. You two both ignored the fact that you just shared that spiritual sense moment.
"Okay,"
"I better go, uh, thank you." he said, backing down the hallway giving you an awkward wave.
"See you later, Peter!" you yelled down the hall.
-
"You did it!" Peter 2 exclaimed. Peter 3 was sitting on his couch, bouncing his knee up and down. "I knew you could, buddy. Your amazing."
"I don't know I mean, I haven't done this since Gwen." he sighed.
The vision of Gwen falling down that clocktower repeated in Peter's head.
"Nothing bad is going to happen, Y/N can hold her own. What did you say- she can't die?" Peter 2 asked. "Yeah, well, it's still a lot." "She's not Gwen, Pete. You're okay." Peter 2 reminded Peter 3. "What if this is stupid- she's from another universe. But something about her..." he trailed off. "Makes your senses go nuts, huh?" Peter 2 asked. "Yes! I can't explain it." "That's how I felt with Mary Jane. I mean, it's complicated but I still love her." "Gwen didn't even make me feel this way." Peter sighed. He loved Gwen so much, he felt so guilty betraying her. "Gwen would want you to be happy." Peter 2 said, patting Peter 3 on the back. He almost read his mind.
"So, what are you going to text her?" Peter 2 asked eagerly. "I haven't even began to think about that," Peter 3 sighed, placing a hand on his forehead. "Start off basic- a 'Hey, it's Peter.' is probably good."
Peter pulled out his phone. He was surprised it was still functional here, but to some odd rules of the universe it was.
He typed in your number in his phone
To: (your number)
Hey, it's Peter.
"Should I send it?" Peter 3 asked, his hand was shaking. "What is this- high school? Just send it. We're all adults."
sent.
He threw his phone across the couch and couldn't bare to look at it.
"Hey- look at me." Peter 2 said.
"You are doing great. Everything will be okay," "What if she think's its weird- I mean it has only been like 38 hours since I've met her," "Do not doubt yourself. You are Spiderman. You are amazing at everything you do! Hell, your a very handsome looking fella," Peter 2 laughed. Peter 3 smiled. "See? You've already gotten a response," Peter 2 said, picking up Peter 3's phone.
From: (your number)
Hey.
"Just a hey?" he groaned, throwing his phone back at his pillow.
"A little immature, I'll admit it. Maybe she's writing more." Peter 2 tried reassuring him. "Immature? I mean, she is 20." "Oh my god she's 20. She probably thinks I'm a creep!"
"Hey- no thinking like that. If she thought you were a creep she would have totally ignored you by now."
Peter 3's phone lit up again.
From: (your number)
I'm sorry about my friend earlier, she has some crazy ideas.
"See? She's starting a conversation."
He saved your number in his phone.
Y/N (Witch)
"How many other Y/N's do you have in your phone?" Peter 2 asked. Peter 3 shrugged. "I like staying organized."
-
It was the middle of the night. You were fast asleep, when suddenly you were jolted awake.
You had no clue, but three doors down Peter was awoken also.
Your senses told you something was off- something wasn't right. You threw on your robe and poked your head out of your room. The hallway was dark and empty, minus the one flickering light at the end of the hallway. You quietly made your way down the hall and looked out the window where the light flickered. As you stepped under it, it went dark. You were about to take out your phone and turn on the flashlight, but you were grabbed in the hallway and swept into a room.
You struggled against your perpetrator but once you regulated yourself, you found yourself with Peter.
He looked at you with a finger over his mouth and shushed you. "What is happening?" you asked him. "I'm really sorry please just stay here," He slipped past you, leaving his quarters.
Why am I sitting alone in his quarters?
You then saw from the corner of your eye, a blue man flying through the air.
"Electro,"
You immediately were about to speed into action, but Peter 1 came into the room.
"Look," you said, hiding behind a dresser and watching him aimlessly float over the city. Peter 1 joined you. You noticed he was already in his spider suit. "Oh, so we're fighting now?" you asked him. "No, I am."
"Your going to need my help Pete," you sighed. "No, I want to do it. Be the one to kill this sick-"
"Hey!" Peter 2 whispered, poking his head into the apartment. He gave Peter 1 a nod and Peter 1 started to follow him out. "Where do you think your going?" you say, grabbing his arm. "Y/N, this could be our only chance." "Your not going without me." you insisted. "Y/N you don't understand-" "I understand completely fine Peter. Let me get changed." you said, pushing past him.
You were exiting the apartment and was met by Peter 2. "Hey, could you please just stay here." he begged, looking concerned. "What is everyone's deal? I'm going out to help Peter kill that thing." you sighed. "But Y/N-" Peter 1 said from behind you. "It's after you."
"And how do you know that?" you asked, whipping around to see Peter 1. "Mr. Stark's equipment picked up on some energy readings in the last hour and they were directed at harming you."
"That's why I saved you from the trap before, he was trying to get you." Peter 3 sighed. "Why would he want me?" you asked. "Remember when we found Mr. Osborn, before you had all that energy come out of you. It injured him pretty badly." Peter 1 explained. "He's been re charging and gaining back his strength but he wants you dead."
"It hurt him- even better reason to let me come." you yelled, pushing past Peter 3 and into the hallway. Peter 3 webbed you back to him. He wasn't expecting to do it as hard as he did, and you flew into his arms. "Y/N. Don't." he said. You could see a tiny flicker in his eye. You recognized it as the memory of Gwen. Mind reading at it's finest. You sighed, stuck in the man's embrace. He didn't want to loose you.
"I want to fight." you insisted, struggling in the webs around your wrist. "Please Y/N, just stay here." Peter 1 begged. "Absolutely not!" you yelled, now pissed off. What right do these men think they have telling you to stay here and let the men go out and do the fighting.
Peter 1 webbed you to a chair against your will. They brought in a half awake Tony. He was unbelievably pissed off he was missing his beauty sleep to babysit you. "Just please make sure she stays here Mr. Stark," Peter 1 sighed. "Yeah, yeah. Be carful out there, kid." Tony yawned.
Peter 3 looked at you, bound up in the chair. He felt so guilty for doing this, he would have loved being out there and fighting along side you. He also knew he had absolutely no right doing this. The longing in his eyes tied a knot in your stomach. He couldn't bare staring at you any longer and followed the rest of the Peter's down the hallway.
"What's up with that?" Tony asked in a suggestive tone once they left. "What?" "You and uh- Peter." "Which Peter," you smiled coyly. "You know- the scrawny longer nose one." "Oh, Peter 3?" "What, you two hooking up or something?" Tony asked, crossing his arms. "Are you interested in him or something?" you said, mocking his tone. "C'mon Y/N. I saw the way he looked at you."
You sighed. "Your not really the type of person to confide in." "Alright, alright. Don't tell me then. I'm just going to assume the worst." "The worst?" "Oh, I dunno. Maybe you two haven't spent a moment apart, and I mean apart." Tony said, making the dumb pointer finger hole sex reference with his hands. "Oh Jesus, Tony. That is NOT true." "Really? Because you could already be infected with his hybrid spider-witch babies and-"
You were sick of hearing this and gave him a simple sleep hex. "Now, how to get out of here." you muttered to yourself. You used the reflection spell and teleported out of the webbed chair. You ran to your quarters and put on your suit. Next, you used the conference room and searched for any reports of where they could be.

Mysterious Villain spotted fighting THREE Spidermen? posted 38 seconds ago
"Brooklyn Bridge,"
-
You ran off Tony's launchpad into the air, heading straight towards the Brooklyn Bridge. You were almost there- you could see the bridge. It looked abandoned, normal. No Spidermen to be found. You were almost there, when a shot of electricity flew through your body. You hit the ground hard, leveling up grass in your path as you fell in an empty park.
Electro flew to you, hovering above you in the air. "That hurt," you yelled to the man. He grunted and shot more electricity at you, but you blocked it with a portal that faced right back at him. His electricity overloaded him once again, but he ended the strain out of his hands. "You think you can do this- defeat me?" he yelled. You got up from your pile of rubble and flew up to his level. "You want to try?"
You were conjuring an energy ball just as a web tied around your waist. "God fuckin damm-"
You were pulled through the air and met by Peter 2 in a tree. "What the hell are you doing?" he panted. Electro took notice to this, but was hit by an electric web by Peter 1. That distracted him and he flew after Peter 1. "I had it covered before you had to pull me away." you yelled. "We meant it when we said stay back." "Really? Because I was about to kill that thing in another three seconds before you pulled me away."
"Where is Peter 3?" you asked. "Why?" Peter 2 asked. Oh god, why did I ask that
"I-I dunno I was just wondering." you lied. "He's out looking for you. When Stark came to he called all of us."
Thanks, Tony.
"Let me go find him."
"No, I'm taking you back to Stark Towers." Peter 2 yelled. "Funny." you smirked, hands crossed. "Excuse me?"
You grabbed Peter 2 and flew through the air with him. He frantically tried to web off to another surface, but you were flying too fast.
You found Peter 1 fighting Electro, looking pretty tired. You dropped Peter 2 off on top of a building.
"Now I know why MJ hated that," he panted, trying not to throw up.
"Hey, Electro!" you yelled, balling up the energy again. He turned his attention from Peter 1 to you. "Don't!" Peter 1 yelled. You threw the ball of energy at him, and he just absorbed it. It wasn't powerful enough.
Electro laughed, taking a large sum of his energy and shooting it at you. You couldn't move fast enough. It was inevitable to hit you. In what seemed like slow motion, Peter 3 shielded himself in front of you out of nowhere.
"Peter!"
The blast knocked both of you on your asses on top of another roof.
Peter 3 was shaking in his suit. You ripped off his mask. His skin was painted black, his hair was fried. Electro found you again.
You were so angry. He hurt Peter. You could have been able to handle the blast. Peter was merely human.
You built up the largest amount of energy you had ever used. It took almost all of your functional energy. You blasted this at Electro, and he writhed in pain. He yelled, sending lightning bolts out over the river. He then seemed to combust, falling apart. He was dead.
You dropped to your knees, then fell next to Peter 3. He was breathing heavy. Your energy was gone, you were surprised you were even still conscious. You turned over with whatever energy you had left and grabbed his spandex covered hand. His eyes were wide, in a panic. Your vision went blurry as he slowly faded from your sight.

you and mason talking about fictional crushes x
Fictional Crushes
Tumblr media
Summary: A movie night prompts a conversation about their fictional crushes
"No! Absolutely not!"
Y/n was hovering over Peter Pan as Mason walked back into her living room, a bowl of popcorn ready for their movie night. She pouts, pushing her bottom lip out. "Why not?"
"Because we've already watched it on movie night before," he counters, laying the bowl on the sofa between them. He shoves his hand into the bowl, pushing a handful into his mouth. "You only want to watch it because you had a crush on the guy playing Peter Pan," he says through a mouthful of popcorn.
"Don't speak with a mouthful of food," y/n chastises him, hating when people did that. Mason rolled his eyes, chewing a few more times before swallowing. "And every girl had a crush on Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan," she defends herself, pressing play whilst he was distracted, "it was like the law or something."
"Don't think it was a law."
"Look, I don't complain when you put a Marvel film on-"
"That's because you like Marvel too," Mason interrupts, laughing as her defence crumbles. She shoves popcorn into her mouth, taking a second to think carefully about her next words. "You don't see me making a fuss every time you lean closer to the screen whenever Bucky is on," he continues to laugh as she whips her head around to face, a piece of popcorn stuck to her lip.
She brushes it off. "Oh, we wanna go there, do we?" The start of the film is quickly long forgotten about as the two friends turn around to face each other, their legs crossed under themselves. "Let's not forget what happened to you when we watched Black Widow the other month," she teases, smirking when he rolled his head back, "little Mason really made his presence known that day."
"Who are you calling little?" Y/n rolled her eyes, laughing as his face turned bright red. "It was a perfectly normal bodily function, okay," he defends himself, tossing a piece of popcorn at her, "I'm surprised you took the time to even notice, the way you fawning over Florence Pugh."
"Mason, you were poking me in the back-"
"Alright, enough about my..."
"Your penis? Your erection? Your little woody?"
A hearty laugh leaves the back of her throat as he covers his face with a cushion, hiding his embarrassment. It didn't take much to make Mason blush and y/n liked to use it to her advantage.
"Come on, who was your first fictional crush?" Y/n asked, pulling the cushion away from his face. She takes another handful of popcorn, taking individual pieces and popping them into her mouth.
"Mary Jane from Tobey Maguires' Spiderman," Mason answers confidently. Typical, she thought, rolling her eyes. "Your's is clearly Peter Pan," he motions to the TV.
Y/n shook her head. "Nope," she pops the p, "Oliver Wood from Harry Potter was my first fictional crush. That beautiful, Scottish keeper holds a very special place in my heart."
"Really?" She nods her head. "He's not even in the movies for that long," he argues, finding her choice a little bit of a stretch.
"And?" She tosses a piece at him, Mason quick enough to catch it in his mouth. "He's still in them," she mumbles, turning away from him to face the TV again, "now can we please watch the movie?"
"As long as you don't faint every time Peter Pan is on the screen?"
"I make no promises."

Chapter 1 Chapter 3
Master-List
Tumblr media
“How about, Web-Head?” Y/N suggested as she stared at the popcorn ceiling of Peter’s room.
“Ah yes, the Web-Head, Head full of Webs….no it doesn’t sit right.” Peter spoke from his spot at his desk, not looking up. “Okay, for you….Black Widow?”
Y/N shook her head “Absolutely not.”
“How come?” Peter turned to her
“Peter, Black Widows eat their partners….I don't really wanna eat you, or be associated with that.” Y/N sat herself up on her Elbows looking back at Peter.
“But their the most deadly killer in the world” Peter exclaimed “they’re badass”
Y/N just continued to shake her head, “I don’t wanna be a killer Pete, I wanna help people. Besides with the amount of colored pencils you’ve switched between, I dont think Black and Red are a part of the color pallette” she motioned to whatever he was working on “What is it anyways, You’ve been working on it for about twenty minutes now. I think it’s good enough to share.”
Letting out a sign Peter got up from his spot moving to sit next to Y/N, both pausing to look towards his bedroom door as a knock was head from the front door before continuing with the conversation “I was thinking…” he flipped to the page that held a red and blue costume, light gray webbing sprawled out all over the red parts of the suit with a spider decal on the chest, and a mask that would fully cover his face and had White lenses over the eyes. “For me, obviously it's not gonna look exactly like this because I don’t even know how I would get lenses for the eyes, or the fabric but it's there.” Y/N nodded looking over the drawing.
“This is awesome Peter.” she took the sketchbook out of his hands tracing over the details with her finger. “You’d look like a cool spider.”
He flipped to the previous page behind it revealing a completely diffrenet suit, the pattern design of the suit was the same, other than that the main color of the suit was white, and were the blue was on Peter’s suit it was red for this sketch. The mask would be red and only cover the upper half of her face. “This would be yours” he watched as Y/N's face lit up.
“Oh my god Peter” she shifted to move closer to him as she looked at the drawing, “This is even better, then again its for me so I’m bias” she looked to him “You didn’t have to draw out a suit for me you know”
He just shrugged “I figured since I was sitting down, beside you’re right about the name. Black Widow would definitely not fit the color scheme, besides you deserve to look like a cool spider too.” he nudged her shoulder. “.....What about Scarlet Spider? Since red is the main color?”
Y/N scrunched her nose, “No…I don’t know why but…..No colors in the name, I just….i feel like having a color in my name with the word ‘spider’ or something close to it is a bad idea”
Peter signed once more “Man, you are one tough spider to name” he said jokingly. Y/N paused mumbling something, “What?” he hummed
“Spider-Man” she spoke “Its simple, it explains the powers in a way”
It took him a moment to think about it but eventually he nodded “Spider-Man, I could get used to that….and you could be Spider-Woman” he suggested only causing Y/N to shake her head again.
“I feel like if our suits were more similar then maybe it would work, but I feel like this should be different. Since there’s such a big distinction with the suits.” she explained
“Okay, then how about Webber? Or Spiderling? Maybe even Spinster?” Y/N just laughed, setting the notebook down and flopped back down on the bed. Peter followed her actions, his head landing next to hers, staring at the ceiling. Peter continued “Madame Web? Spider-Girl? Spider-Light?”
“You know Spinster doesn’t sound too bad” Y/N cut him off. “But I can see the public maybe having an issue with it, or making the name a joke.” she glanced at the boy laying next to her, she continued to stare for a few moments before looking back at the ceiling.” Spin… spin… spin… spin… spin…” she mumbled, in fact Y/N mumbled it so much to a point where Peter eventually joined her, soon the word “Spin” was all that filled the air.
At some point Peter stopped turning over to Y/N “Spinneret, you are Spinneret” Y/N's head whipped to the side to look at Peter “You were the first one of us to learn about the web powers, and what do spiders do to make a home, they spin webs, so Spinneret… Plus its a lot better than just ‘spin’” he joked
Y/N smiled, slowly nodding “That’ll work” she chuckled. “The Spider-Man and Spinneret… Spiders of New York” she spoke with a news anchor type of voice.
Peter continued “Spider-Man and Spinneret, Science Nerds by day, Superheroes by night, swinging through the streets.” causing both of them to laugh.
The laughter quickly died off as they heard a scream come from down stairs. Both of them jumped from the bed rushing out of the room to see what was wrong. Stepping into the living room, Peter and Y/N were met by the sight of May sitting on the couch crying as two Police officers stood in front of her. Peter was the first to speak.
“May is everything okay” Peter went down and approached the sitting area of the living room, keeping a slight distance from him and the officers. May tried to speak before she was overcome once again with sobs. Y/N rushed over to sit by her side on the couch, placing an arm on her shoulder and a hand over her shaking ones. A sorrowful look filled Y/N's eyes as she watched May, turning to Peter she didn’t know what to say.
So Peter turned his attention to the officers “What’s going on officers?”
The officers looked between each other before one spoke “Son, do you know Benjamin Parker?”
Peter nodded “He’s my uncle, why is something wrong? Did something happen to Uncle Ben?” his voice got quiet, fearing what the answer would be.
“I’m sorry son but, my partner and I were called to respond to a carjacking, over the radio dispatch said there had been a gunshot victim. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but your Uncle is dead.” tears came to Peter's eyes as he just shook his head “No…No you’re wrong… he can’t…he can’t be dead…I…I just saw him this morning he-” his voice broke, he started to pace unsure what to do with his body.
Y/N stood from the couch letting go of May’s hand, “Thank you officers…for letting us know” her voice was quiet.
“Of course, Ma'am…and I’m so sorry” the officer’s words were sympathetic as he and his partner left. Y/N watched them leave and then turned to Peter watching as he still slightly paced his eyes going everywhere in the room.
Cautiously she approached him, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Pete?...” her voice was soft, afraid that if she spoke any louder Peter would break.
His eyes showed to her, and the look he gave her was enough to bring tears to her own eyes at that moment. “He was here this morning Y/N, we both talked to him, he was here…he was here…” he repeated that phrase till his already cracked voice grew silent. Y/N said nothing as she pulled him into a hug. His arms immediately wrap tightly around her waist, his face burying itself into her shoulder as he lets sobs consume his body. Y/N just placed a hand on his head as the other went to his back, she felt her shirt start to get soaked but she didn’t care, she felt his weight as his legs gave out yet she held him up even as they slowly sank to the ground.
In that moment May cried a bit harder seeing her nephew in such pain. Y/N, not moving, just let the hand on Peter’s back rub circles as he cried, unsure what else to do.
So there they all were, in the room where they had all last seen and spoken to him. May sitting on the couch where they had enjoyed many night reading to one another, Peter and Y/N on the floor where they had watched him put together cardboard armor for them as children. The memories all came flooding in, everything they had ever done surfaced.
Y/N buried her face into Peter’s neck, a few tears slipping from her eyes. She cursed herself for letting them fall, for she knew she had no right to break down right now. Not when Peter and May were in such a state.
__________________________________________
It took a few hours but eventually everyone had come to some version of calm, May sat still on the couch. Staring off into the void. Peter at the dining room table picking at the wood. And Y/N on the phone in the kitchen with her mother.
“I promise Mom, its just for tonight…..I know but….I don’t wanna leave either of them alone right now……..well what would you do if Dad died Mom? Wouldn’t you want someone there? Yes…..yeah I’ll probably go over tomorrow……okay…I love you too….bye” hanging up the phone.
She turned to the kitchen letting out a sigh before sneaking around the corner to take a glance at May and Peter. Moving back into the kitchen she went to the cupboards pulling out a pot, she had helped May out enough in the kitchen she was pretty sure she knew where everything was. Setting the pot on the stove she turned it on to let it warm up before moving to the fridge, taking out a few vegetables she placed them on the counter before filling the pot up with a little bit of water, then moving to the freezer she shuffled through some frozen items before seeing what she wanted. Frozen stalk, the one thing she knew May would always have around. Taking it out she added it to the water letting it melt and mix with the water.
It took a few minutes but eventually the stalk melted down, in that time she had cut up the majority of the vegetables and added things like the potatoes, carrots, and onion to the pot since they would take longer to cook.
She went back to chopping up the last of the veggies as she heard footsteps behind her, and a voice spoke.
“Dear you don’t need to do that…” Y/N looked over to see May standing in the kitchen, she cut her sentence off with a soft smile. Setting the knife down and wiping her hands she walked over to May placing a hand on her shoulder
“May, you do so much….especially after tonight, please…let me do this for you.” Y/N tilted her head, May said nothing as she brought Y/N in for a hug, the type of warm bear hug you get on a cold winter's night when you should wrap your blankets around your arms.
“You’re such a sweet girl Y/N….you’re so kind” May mumbled “I’m glad my Peter has you.” she pulled out of the hug, giving a tired smile to Y/N, moving out of the kitchen to go sit next to Peter.
Y/N's sad smile followed May till she had left the kitchen, moving back over to the knife she cut up the rest of the veggies and placed them into the pot, letting it boil for a few more moments before grabbing three bowls out from the cabinets. Filling up the first two she carried them out to Peter and May, along with two waters. Returning to the kitchen for her own bowl and glass before joining the two Parkers.
May smiled at Y/N before she started to pray over the meal, Y/N said nothing knowing this to be a habit of hers, Peter just stared at the bowl waiting for May to finish.
“And thank you lord, for sending us Y/N in this time of grief…and for giving her such a kind heart to take care of myself and Peter with, Amen” she finished unfolding her hands. Peter and Y/N following not long after with “Amen”
It wasn’t much of a soup, it was more broth than anything but non the less it was something to give everyone a bit more energy…a bit more strength to use for the rest of the sorrowful night. It was silent as everyone ate, and after the meal was done everyone still sat in silence. Y/N eventually stands to clear everyone's bowl from the table and brings them to the kitchen.
It had been a few minutes since she started to clean but eventually Peter joined her in the kitchen and began to dry off the dishes. “Pete, you don’t need to do that.”
“I know….I just wanna do something…. besides May went to bed, and I don't wanna be alone…” his voice was quiet, Y/N just nodded offering his the drying towel that had been draped over her shoulder in response. Turning back she continued to wash the items in the sink before handing them to Peter to be dried off.
A few more minutes passed before they were done cleaning. So now here they stand, or rather lean against the kitchen counters, once again in silence.
“Will you stay?” his voice barely came to a whisper.
She nodded, “I asked my mom already and she said it was fine, so I’ll probably just grab a blanket out of the closet and take the cou-”
Peter cut her off, “Will you stay…with me” Y/N could tell he was almost afraid to ask, maybe for fear of the response she’d give.
Nodding Y/N gave a soft smile. “Of course” taking his hand in hers she gave it a light squeeze of reassurance. “I’m here for you right now Peter, and I always will be” he just gave a sad smile in response casting his eyes to the ground.
Making their way upstairs and back to his room, Y/N cleared off the bed from the drawing and list of names they had gone through earlier and to turn on Peter’s bedside lamp. Before she paused, causing Peter to look over “What?”
“I have to go over to my house quickly to grab some clothes” It took Peter a moment to realize that they were both still in the closet they had climbed the rooftop in, and jeans probably wouldn’t be the best thing to sleep in. He hummed for a minute as he thought before opening his dresser and pulling out a t-shirt and some exercise shorts that he never wore. Folding them in his hands he walked over to Y/N extending them to her.
“I’m pretty sure May shrunk the shirt when she washed it, and I’ve never worn those shorts. Will they be okay?” his voice was slowly returning to normal except for the cracks that happened here and there, which were to be expected since he’d been crying so hard only hours before.
Y/N hesitantly took the clothes “are you sure Peter?” he nodded before going to grab clothes for himself and moving to the door
“You can have the room, I’ll change in the bathroom.”
“Mhm, okay” was the only response given, Y/N knew she should have been the one to change in the bathroom, this was Peter’s room after all, but given everything she was too tired to start a small sqable, much in the same was that she felt May was too tired to argue over Y/N making food. So when Peter exited the room, she moved to pull the window shade down before stripping the day way and putting the comfy clothes on. And for the first time she noticed how tired her body felt, only she didn’t know why. Was it from her and Peter testing their power or from the emotions of the night, she couldn’t tell forsure. All she knew was that the exhaustion of the day had finally caught up with her.
Pulled from her thoughts she noticed the light tapping coming from the door. “Are you decent Y/N?” she smiled hearing Peter
“Yeah.” moving to sit on the bed she watched as Peter came into the room, sitting down right next to her. He laid his head on her shoulder. Y/N just layed back on the bed, allowing Peter to somewhat lay on top of her, she almost wondered if she should just tell Peter to put his full weight on her since her newly acquired strength would bear it for her but she refrained. His head rested below hers’ even though it caused his feet to hang off the bed slightly. His hands shuffled around for the blanket, pulling it over the two of them
After they had been sufficiently covered in blankets, his hands went around her waist and hers to his hair, lightly massaging the base of his scalp
“Y/N can I tell you something?” Peter’s voice broke the silence. He felt her head nod before he slightly sat up her see her face. “How long have we known each other?” Y/N thought for a moment before answering
“Ever since you came to live with May and Ben…..we were what….six I think?” Peter nodded, moving to sit up more.
“I’ve been meaning to tell you this for a while… a really long while and I kind of feels wrong to do it tonight, but Uncle Ben always told me that I should just tell you and so it also king of feels right to do this tonight.” he rambled a bit
“You are one of my best friends, you and Harry are the absolute best…. And I realised tonight that…. ThatI can’t lose you….” he paused watching as Y/N’s face processed everything he was saying. “I liked you when we were six, but it wasn’t until Eighth Grade that I realised that I liked you” he emphasised “Last year, when we worked on that first story together I think that's when I learned that I loved you but was too scared to admit it. But tonight… seeing how much you cared for May and me…taking care of us when you didn’t have too… I know for certain now. I love you so much Y/N that I feel like my heart is gonna explode from my chest” by now he had fully moved to sit on the bed next to Y/N.
A huge smile came to Y/N's face as she sat up to hug Peter, his arms instantly planting themselves around her waist. She planted a kiss on his cheek. “I love you too Peter” she whispered Pet just nodded at the two staying in the hug. It took a few moments but Y/N slowly realized that her shoulder was getting wet once again, pulling away as she looked at Peter who looked away from her, trying to wipe his eyes.
Cupping his cheek with her hand she lightly pulled his face so his eyes met hers “Pete? What's wrong?” she now held his face with both her hands, his hands went up to meet hers as he shook his head. “Nothing… nothing I promise” he smiled “I think I’m just so worn out that I’m glad to hear that you feel the same” he sniffled “there nothing really there to stop the emotions”
Y/N just chuckled, placing kisses on his cheeks where the tear trails ran before her arms went to his shoulders, pulling him down to lay on her once more. Just like before his hands went to wrap around her waist and her hands went to his hair, but their faces were now level with each others. Reaching over to the lamp Y/N switched it off, her and Peter settling into the silence and darkness.
She could feel Peter humming against her, so she waited a few moments before speaking. “Peter?”
“Hmm?”
“I have night vision.”
“What?!” He shot up “What do you mean?!”
“You can’t see the whole room right now?”
“NO! We were just about to go to bed, i mean this is literally the worst time you could have said this” he laughed tiredly “Well” he sighed “That's the first one you can do that I can't…. point for Spinneret” he joked laying back down. “I can’t believe you have night vision.” He mumbled causing Y/N to laugh
“Go to bed Pete” she leaned over kissing his cheek. closing her eyes for the night.
