Acclimatizing
Human Handbook Chapter 1 Section 1: Human Habitat
It’s impossible to please every member of your crew, especially if you’ve been assigned humans. It has come to our attention that while humans will complain about any temperature that differs from their home climate, they can adapt to almost any environment.
Outerwear will change to reflect the set temperature, but even rapid adjustments to climates will be adjusted to just as rapidly. Unlike the Insectus or Reptilius species, Humans are able to inhabit worlds with drastic temperature and weather shifts.
Expect excessive complaints from the human crew. To quell any dissatisfaction, address the matter seriously. At the first sign that their half-hearted grievances may lead to a change that negatively impacts the rest of the crew, they will protest any such change most vehemently.

Leon didn"t know what was happening. Everyone around him was getting older. Just not him. Everyone around him was dying and changing. Just not him.
He was waiting for this. He was really looking forward to this. Maybe it will be calmer on the other side. Maybe on the other side the two people he was used to hating each other so much would call each other names. Maybe on the other side he could be again...idk a happy teenager in Camelot
But no. It didn't come. He didn't know why. He didn't age. He wasn't dying. He tried but to no avail. Years passed, a year, decades and then centuries. He was forced to get used to the changing world around him. He had to constantly work, earn money and learn new things. It was...too much. Sometimes he heard rumors that he wasn't the only one. Merlin. Merlin according to rumors, was alive . But Leon didn't know if he wanted to see him. And so centuries passed. Leon was tired. Really tired. Despite everything, he went to college and set up his own psychology practice. Helping people always gave him satisfaction. He tried the police or the army but ..it was too much for his nerves. Especially after all the wars he took part in.
Dr. Leon Kringen. That's what the sign on the door said. The door openen A tall man with probably a child. He frowned. Well, an old man can forget about an appointment. He glanced at the computer (what a funny invention). The older man forced the teenager to sit down with a sudden movement. Blue-eyed, blonde,a little furious and a little...scared teenager. It was sad to watch this interaction once again. Well, apparently centuries won't change some people

My Sole meeting Danse and his crew is so funny because it can't happen in game but CANNONICALLY they competently snipe the feral gouls, making Danse think he is dealing with a professional wasteland-hardened tough cookie. But oh-hoh! 'Tis a bait and switch, this doe-eyed (almost Vault fresh) lamb stumbles into the compound with a heavy anxiety shake, asks if the ferals will get back up or if they're contagious, realizes Danse and his crew are military (of sorts) and is IMMEDIATELY suspicious enough to bug out, gets snuck up on by a stray feral while they're backing out of the compound, and FAINTS as soon as they realize one of "those zombies" got so close to them.

I'm pretty sure most people who've read my Weskennedy fics don't know the only Resident Evil games I've played are half of RE1, Leon A in RE2R and I fear-quit Claire B when I got stuck between 3 lickers & Mr. X. I was kiting him around the west office and had to close the game bc I almost had a genuine panic attack lmfao. I can't play horror games—and, no, Dead by Daylight isn't a horror game, it's a party game, so it doesn't count.
(I characterized Leon & Wesker by reading their perk descriptions/quotes in DbD, watching cutscenes from RE1/RE2R/RE5, reading their most iconic quotes and biographies, and doing my best to crawl into their heads and rub my grubby little hands on their brains. So yeah. That's my secret shame lmfao)
