Expand and Collapse Images With A CSS Accordion Slider
This is a pure HTML/CSS accordion slider designed to showcase your images in a fancy way. It uses CSS and HTML radio inputs to create a horizontal slider that collapses images initially. When you click on an image, it smoothly expands to full size with a flexible bounce effect. How to use it: 1. Add images as backgrounds to the label element. <fieldset> <label style="--_img: url(h1.jpeg)"> <input…

This 1962 mid century modern in Pittsburgh, PA looks small, but it's very large inside. The 3bd, 1.5ba, 1,128sqft home is pretty reasonably priced at $339k and is already under contract.
Tumblr media
Enter a foyer with a large coat closet.
Tumblr media
This is what makes the house look deceivingly smaller- as you enter, you go down stairs and there are 2 levels below.
Tumblr media
Past the closet in the foyer, there's an accordion door to the kitchen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like the original kitchen, especially the yellow cabinets and mosaic counter.
Tumblr media
On the entry level there's also a dining room off to the side, and a door to a deck.
Tumblr media
Talk about a sunken living room, look at how far down this one is. There's the original brick fireplace in the corner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This room gets lots of light thru 4 glass doors that open to a terrace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The primary bedroom is nice, the bedrooms aren't oversized, but they're good sizes.
Tumblr media
These stairs lead down to the lowest level where the rest of the bedrooms are.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This room is kind of odd- what are those glass windows for? I would think that a bed would go between the columns, but what is the glass for?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The .5 bath is located in the hall and has a new sink, and you don't see many half baths with room for a hutch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This room is on the level below the living room. Look at how long it is, and it also has sliders to a terrace. It's likely meant to be a family room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interestingly, the 3rd bd. is located under the stairs. It also has doors to a terrace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the one full bath. It has quite a large linen closet, which is nice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two of the terraces. This home has quite a few terraces for the bedrooms, which is a nice feature.
Tumblr media
And, this is the deck, off the dining room, with some lattice panels for privacy, and a roof cover that can use replacing. 9,714sqft lot

Todays rip: 14/10/2023
WA-HOO DISCO
Season 4 Episode 1 Featured on: SiIvaGunner's Highest Quality Rips: Volume AI
Ripped by ChickenSuitGuy
youtube
Look, I know, this is like what, the seventh Super Mario 64 rip I've covered on the blog now? Be it Piranha Plantsom, Harder to Breathe 64 or something more out there like Super Mario 64 Submarine Ending, the game and its music is a treasure trove for rippers looking to create gold. That's obviously best exemplified with the endless amounts of rips of the Slider theme, one of the most frequently ripped themes on the channel, and the focus of today's rip - WA-HOO DISCO.
Part of the fun with having a theme as frequently ripped as Slider, especially if its still beloved by the fanbase, is that it lets rippers experiment and mess around with the jokes whilst still drawing in viewers. Whilst I'll always wish that more SiIvaGunner fans simply watched all the rips that are uploaded, fact of the matter is that there's a large amount of viewers who simply watch rips of games or themes they're interested in. The Slider theme is like a perfect middle-ground in that sense, as its both a theme offering immense versitility for rippers to mess about in, whilst being immediately iconic to this more passive audience. A lot of Slider rips have used some bizarre sources in their arranging before: be it the theme song of the GameDude YouTube channel, music from Geometry Dash, or songs from bands such as Panic! At The Disco...it feels like a way for rippers to express their niche interests into rips that will inevitably garner attention in some form.
WA-HOO DISCO isn't quite as niche as some other Slider rips, but its source material isn't exactly a worldwide phenomenon either - YO-KAI Disco from Mamorukun Curse! is primarily only known of within the YPTMV/MAD community as an amazing piece of VGM. I previously covered it in its biggest ever rip on SiIva, 【=3】e-MUNO Disco (vs. 音MAD AGENT), but beyond that it's been a meme on both YouTube and sites like NicoNico Douga since the beginning of the 2010s - SEN-TRY Disco, anyone? It's an infectiously energetic song, as is to be expected from its legendary composer Yousuke Yasui, and I'm honestly shocked it hasn't been featured on SiIva more.
Part of the fun in Slider rips is that they almost all arrange the songs used *into* the silly accordion sound of the Mario 64 track itself, which leads to rips like WA-HOO DISCO sounding really unique when compared to their source jokes. It may just be my ears playing tricks on me, but WA-HOO DISCO in particular sounds almost a bit pitched down when compared to the original track, which alone helps bridge the gap between the two songs and make it sound entirely seamless. I couldn't be happier with the end result - ChickenSuitGuy has been featured on the blog so many times already, but I can't help it when his ability to follow through on executing jokes in this fashion is so consistently top-tier.

More Jevil headcanons :D
Source: idk im bored lol
Also, flashing warning and volume warning for some of the videos I've linked
Jevil plays Maple Leaf Rag on the piano at breakneck speed, then transitions it into the fast part of Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2, then throws in a Freedom motif out of nowhere, and transitions it into Slider from Super Mario 64! Then as the cherry on top, he transitions it into a 100,000 note cover of UN Owen Was Her, and in the middle, finish it all off by turning it into the ending part of Battle Against A True Hero! On top of that, he plays an accordion with his feet, a triangle with his tail, the piano with one arm, the trumpet with another, and drums with a pedal
Keep in mind that he does all of this, both to troll the music snobs, and because he's bored, but mainly to troll the music snobs
He calls the Creation from Frankenstein "Frankenstein" on purpose
He intentionally pronounces and spells "mischievous" the exact same way you would "devious" ("Mischievious")
Jevil is a night owl and will stay up until the crack of dawn, then wake up at around 1 to 2 PM
He gets random bursts of energy at night and will pace around the entire dungeon cell, which is part of the reason he has a hard time sleeping at night
He's up to date on memes, but will misuse them on purpose just to see how many people he can make cringe, how hard he can embarrass them, and how quickly they beg him to stop
When he cries, his eyes burst with large waterfalls of tears, he hiccups and sobs very loudly, and his limbs flop like noodles! If you want to comfort him, the best way is to just be there beside him and let him rant
If Jevil doesn't get the joke, he'll crack his own joke instead; nobody has to know that he didn't get it, and nobody ever will know
He doesn't have much people to talk about nihilism with; in his experience, most people are usually either depressingly sad over life's lack of meaning or annoyingly angsty and edgy about it. He doesn't really get to talk to many people about the freedoms that this philosophy provides for him, because people are generally really obsessed with meaning and purpose, to the point where they can't imagine a life without either of those things
If a mind-reader tried to read Jevil's mind, they would immediately be bombarded with a mish-mash of several noises, all of which overlap each other and jump from one topic to an entirely different one, with absolutely no rhyme or reason to any of it, whatsoever! They'd experience a heavy dose of sensory overload and would never be able to make sense of it! Not even Jevil himself can tune out, slow down, or decipher the constant stream of chaos in his head

6 Best Custom Gutenberg Blocks Plugins for WordPress — Speckyboy
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/6-best-custom-gutenberg-blocks-plugins-for-wordpress-speckyboy/
6 Best Custom Gutenberg Blocks Plugins for WordPress — Speckyboy
One of the most promising aspects of the Gutenberg block editor is the ability to add your own custom blocks. They can consist of just about any type of formatted content or functionality you can imagine.
And while you can certainly build your own custom blocks, sometimes that’s a bit like reinventing the wheel. This is especially the case when you want to add a common element such as a testimonial, post listing, or timeline. Most likely, these blocks already exist and can be easily added to your website.
Since Gutenberg’s inclusion in WordPress core, the developer community has released a number of different block plugins. Most tend to include a collection of blocks that could come in handy while building your site.
Today, we’ll introduce you to some of the top custom block collections available for WordPress. Let’s get started!
WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org – What’s the difference?
We get this question all the time, and we’re happy to help.
WordPress.org is the most powerful website building software on the web. You will need to find a hosting provider if you want that site online.
WordPress.com is our preferred hosting provider for medium-large traffic websites.
If you want to know why WordPress.com is our preferred host for ambitious passion projects and large website projects, read our review:
Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg includes 20+ custom blocks that cover a wide range of use cases. When it comes to layout, the Advanced Columns block lets you create a highly customized multicolumn row.
There are also blocks for adding Google Maps, icons, CTAs, post carousels, and more. That’s just scratching the surface of what this free plugin can do.
Backed by GoDaddy, CoBlocks is a free WordPress plugin that supercharges Gutenberg. While it offers a number of handy custom blocks (accordion, alert, hero, logos, masonry gallery, pricing table, etc.), its big selling point is in page layout.
Offering a more page builder-like experience, rows, and columns can be dragged to size and customized for responsive layouts. Typography is also highly-tweakable as well.
EditorsKit is a bit different than the other plugins in this collection, as it’s more about extending the blocks already included in Gutenberg. The rich text formatting features allow you to further style your content or wipe out all custom styles with a single click. You can also control the visibility of blocks based on device, login state, or even custom field values.
In addition, there are a ton of productivity tweaks, like support for markdown, code editor syntax highlighting, and the ability to import or export specific blocks. With so many goodies, it may just make Gutenberg feel like a completely different experience.
Kadence Blocks offers a dozen custom blocks that cover common needs. Included are row layouts, advanced galleries, tabs, info boxes, and testimonials – among others.
It also aims to solve one of the more frustrating issues with Gutenberg – the editor’s width on the back end. The plugin contains preset widths that enable content creators to get a better representation of what pages will look like on the front end.
With an aim to both speed up content creation and add different content types, Gutenberg Blocks and Template Library is a compelling option. Much like Atomic Blocks above, the included Section block offers a number of pre-designed templates and layouts.
There are also several customizable elements such as Google Maps, post grids, author info, and a block for Font Awesome icons.
Sure, Advanced Gutenberg comes packed with several custom blocks (post sliders, WooCommerce products, advanced tables, advanced lists, etc.). Those are all nice and handy. But the really interesting feature here is the ability to create “edition” profiles, which allow you to turn blocks on or off for specific users or user roles.
For example, if you only want administrators to have access to the Column Manager block, you can easily set it up. This helps to ensure that lower-level users don’t wreak havoc on your designs.
Get Some New Building Blocks
The default blocks that come with Gutenberg are useful and are constantly being refined. But to create a true page-building experience, you’ll want to add some custom elements.
That’s where the plugins above can help take your website to greater heights. Not only can you add different types of functionality and content, but you can also take greater charge of the editor as a whole.
The bottom line is that if you’re going to use Gutenberg for complex page layouts, you might as well go all in. These plugins will help you do just that.

Responsive CSS Accordion Card Slider: No JavaScript
This is a responsive, animated, accordion-style card slider built using only HTML and CSS. Clicking an item within the slider expands it horizontally to full size, showcasing the image with its title and caption. Meanwhile, any previously opened item shrinks back to its original size. This slider is great for portfolio showcases, product galleries, and photo collections. The accordion-style…

1967 home in Lake Forest, IL is sort of like a mid century modern castle. 4bds, 3ba, 2,406 sq ft, $975k. I love this house so much.
Tumblr media
Interesting front door. Stairs from the lower level come up into the kitchen, b/c this would a pain to climb with groceries, etc.
Tumblr media
Big rounded fireplace is a focal point in the living room.
Tumblr media
There's also one of those huge built-in sectionals. Not only are the built-ins included, but so is the furniture.
Tumblr media
And, at the end, a built-in credenza.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Open concept living/dining room includes a built-in sideboard and sliders to the patio.
Tumblr media
This is so nice.
Tumblr media
Accordion door opens to the kitchen from the dining area.
Tumblr media
This is unusual. I've never seen a kitchen come to a point. Love the mosaic backsplash in typically MCM colors.
Tumblr media
Isn't the height of luxury? Not only does it have a built-in blender, but it also has a foldup record player in the wall. I love this.
Tumblr media
Then check out the round hallway to the bedrooms and baths.
Tumblr media
This house is so cool. The stone wall in the primary bedroom curves and that's the ensuite, plus, the wood wall has storage, and a walk-in closet. There's a built-in make-up vanity, as well.
Tumblr media
Storage galore.
Tumblr media
Elliptical bath with a sunken tub and mosaic tile. Very cool.
Tumblr media
This home has so many wonderful features and so much built-in storage. Bedroom #2 also has a walk-in closet. You never see that in an MCM home.
Tumblr media
The room goes all the way around this large built-in closet. I love this house. It goes clear around, and there's a desk back here, for each bedroom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wraps around to bedroom #3, which is the exact same layout.
Tumblr media
The 2nd bath is a large 3pc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then further down the hall, you reach this cute little TV room.
Tumblr media
A door in the kitchen opens to the tower stairs going down to the basement.
Tumblr media
Brightly lit laundry room with a folding table and sink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge rec room with a beautiful big bar. You could make this look like a retro lounge with neon and stuff. There's also a bathroom down here, but Tumblr only allows 30 photos.
Tumblr media
Lots of land- the home is on a .56 acre lot.
Tumblr media
You can see the golf course- the home is near a country club.

Unlocking the Potential: Adding JavaScript to Your Web Page
In the dynamic world of web development, adding JavaScript to your web page can be a game-changer. JavaScript, the programming language of the web, empowers developers to create interactive and engaging experiences for users. From enhancing user interfaces to implementing complex functionalities, JavaScript opens up a world of possibilities for web developers. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the process of adding JavaScript to your web page, covering everything from the basics to advanced techniques.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Basics
Before diving into the intricacies of JavaScript integration, it's essential to grasp the fundamentals of the language. JavaScript, often abbreviated as JS, is a versatile programming language primarily used for client-side scripting in web development. Unlike HTML and CSS, which focus on defining the structure and styling of web pages, JavaScript adds interactivity and dynamic behavior to websites.
Getting Started with JavaScript Integration
Integrating JavaScript into your web page is a straightforward process that begins with linking your JavaScript file to your HTML document. The <script> tag is used to include JavaScript code within an HTML document. You can either embed JavaScript code directly within the <script> tags or link to an external JavaScript file using the src attribute.
html
Copy code
<script src="script.js"></script>
By linking an external JavaScript file, you can keep your HTML code clean and organized, making it easier to maintain and update your website's functionality.
Enhancing User Experience with JavaScript
One of the primary benefits of adding JavaScript to your web page is the ability to enhance the user experience. JavaScript allows you to create dynamic and interactive elements that respond to user actions in real-time. From animated transitions to interactive forms and image galleries, JavaScript enables you to captivate your audience and keep them engaged.
Implementing Dynamic Content Loading
JavaScript can be used to implement dynamic content loading, where additional content is fetched from the server without requiring a full page refresh. This technique, known as AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), allows you to load new data seamlessly, enhancing the responsiveness of your web page.
Creating Interactive User Interfaces
With JavaScript, you can create interactive user interfaces that respond to user input and interactions. This includes features such as dropdown menus, sliders, tabs, and accordions, which improve navigation and usability.
Leveraging JavaScript Libraries and Frameworks
In addition to native JavaScript, developers can leverage a vast ecosystem of JavaScript libraries and frameworks to expedite development and add advanced functionalities to their web pages. Popular JavaScript libraries such as jQuery provide a streamlined way to manipulate the DOM (Document Object Model) and handle events, while frameworks like React and Vue.js offer powerful tools for building single-page applications (SPAs) and dynamic user interfaces.
Best Practices for JavaScript Integration
While adding JavaScript to your web page can unlock a world of possibilities, it's essential to follow best practices to ensure optimal performance and maintainability.
Minimize and Concatenate JavaScript Files
To improve page load times, it's recommended to minimize and concatenate your JavaScript files. Minification removes unnecessary characters and whitespace from your code, while concatenation combines multiple files into a single bundle, reducing the number of HTTP requests required to load your web page.
Optimize JavaScript Performance
Optimizing JavaScript performance is crucial for delivering a smooth and responsive user experience. This includes optimizing algorithms, reducing DOM manipulation, and leveraging browser caching to improve loading times.
Ensure Cross-Browser Compatibility
To reach a broader audience, it's essential to ensure cross-browser compatibility when adding JavaScript to your web page. Test your JavaScript code across different browsers and devices to identify and address any compatibility issues that may arise.
Conclusion
In conclusion, adding JavaScript to your web page can elevate your web development projects to new heights, enabling you to create dynamic, interactive, and engaging user experiences. By understanding the basics of JavaScript integration, leveraging JavaScript libraries and frameworks, and following best practices for optimization and compatibility, you can harness the full potential of JavaScript to enhance your web presence and captivate your audience.

Todays rip: 27/06/2023
slideless
Season 6 Featured on: Transmission Archive ~ The SiIvaGunner All-Star Nuclear Winter Festival Collection
Ripped by Retro Gaming
youtube
Part of Voiceless Week!
With the release of slideless at the tail end of Season 6, five years had already passed since voiceless had made impact with the channel like a meteorite. And to some viewers, that wait has been excruciating. Not because slideless itself was hotly anticipated, but because The Christmas Comeback Crisis storyline that voiceless was originally made for had still not been finished since its start in Season 2, and still hasn't as of writing. That wait, as expected, has stirred up some mixed feelings in the fanbase. Whenever I'd find myself looking over those discussions over the course of Season 5 and 6 in particular, it sometimes felt as if voiceless never even happened, that the channel had just full-stop moved past that glorious spark.
Though I'm of course still overjoyed with the success of later seasons of SiIva and greatly enjoyed the creative directions its gone in, I was equally as overjoyed to find that even this far into the channel's life, voiceless was still not forgotten. slideless did of course not mark the first time the track had reappeared on the channel, yet a combination of various factors made it really stick out to me althesame. Slider, as you may well know, sits among the pantheon of SiIvaGunner tracks that will just never stop receiving rips at a regular pace. It holds a special place even amidst that pantheon though, being a track that consistently draws in clicks from a high number of SiIva's viewerbase, likely due to the source track's pre-existing popularity. Even with their frequency, to me Slider rips have always been moments of celebration, where huge parts of the fanbase all gather to celebrate whichever joke is being featured at the moment - I really don't doubt that most SiIvaGunner fans have listened to a majority of all the Slider rips uploaded during their time on the channel.
Pair that legacy with the arrangement being genuinely fantastic, using every part of Slider's instrumentation as effectively as possible, and you have a rip that still sits with me six months removed from it. Everything feels perfectly planned out: The alternating between the accordion and whistle between the intense and calm parts of the song, the aspects of Slider's backing remaining in the backing banjo instrumentation, the way the accordion is layered in different parts of the song to give it more weight... Retro Gaming isn't a name I've covered here on the channel before, but his trademark lies very much in being silently impressive: These super well done arrangements that feel right in line with what the original composers would produce for the game in question. Simply put, it makes me really happy that these talents go toward upholding voiceless' legacy.
