How are you doing, is a question of that many ask but most don't mean it. Trying to do/be something is fake. What's the deal with you not being yourself?

👀Do you let them get away with murder? 👀Get away with disrespecting? 🙌Do you praise them about everything they do that is good? 🔥Show them and encourage kindness, respect, manners, work ethic, determination? Pointing out and telling kids what they are doing good gets better results than pointing out flaws. Don't stay silent when they are acting the way we want them to act!! #tuesdaythoughts #parentproblems #actingout #modelbehavior #dadlife https://www.instagram.com/p/Clj6wAOO6Gq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
My Fitbit is 10 minutes off and not syncing. It has become self-aware. It knows I just bought my first Samsung smart watch, which should arrive this week. My Fitbit is throwing a fit... pouting and acting out.
“Acting Out” Is Not A Real Thing “I have noticed that “a lack of” attachment and connection is often blamed for children’s misunderstood typical development. It seems to me, at least 95% of the behaviours that adults commonly deem as “acting out” or “attention seeking” are just typical childhood behaviours. Albeit sometimes loud, unsafe and messy, children are usually playing/learning when they are accused of “acting out.” Responsive parents then try to overcompensate, believing they lack connection, only to feel defeated since what was missing was not connection but an understanding of typical child development.” J. Milburn Children throw food, they let go of your hand and run off in parking lots, they draw on walls, they try to flush things down toilets, they yell, they sing, they take up space, in your heart, your mind and your home. Children will hit people, including other children and sometimes animals. Most will go through a biting phase. Pretty much all children will have multiple toileting accidents. Children will dump toys on the ground with no apparent purpose but to make a huge mess.... continued in blog Link in bio ☝️ #responsiveparenting #jmilburn #attachment #lifelonglearning #parentingisajourney #actingout #miniblog #typicalbehavior #childdevelopment #typicaldevelopment #toddlerlife #momlife #dadlife https://www.instagram.com/p/COkaW-DHnwp/?igshid=ovgkdkioqmr3

Borshia seems to have a really bad attitude while his rock band manager Tito tries to take photos of Borshia and his rock band The Borshettes. How much of our identities are tied to our pain? Has your pain defined you? Who would you be without it? Would you know who you are? Our pain more often than not molds our personalities. Pain prompts erratic anxious behavior. Because of my own formation in the crucible of physical and emotional pain, I am always ready to fight. I remind myself there is no fight. Be cool. Do not start one. If we do not manage our pain, our pain will express itself as anger, post-traumatic stress disorder, or depression. Pain and anger will have us acting out on people that had nothing to do with causing our pain. The only path I have discovered to manage my pain is by transforming it into love. This love cannot be accidental or incidental. This love cannot be timid or weak but intense and intentional. To tame your pain, you must throw massive love at it. We do not have to be the victim of our pain. We can turn it off and manage it. If you are ready and do not know how, talk to me. I will show you how. #actingout #identity #identities #pain #hurt #distress #agony #erratic # behavior #formation #anxious #anxiety #crucible #physical #emotional #ptsd #anger #angry #express #manage #transform #trauma #injury #timid #weak #punked #massive #intense #intentional (at Mesa, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5ToaTQlosS/?igshid=t2kh6ob0chlc
“If I respond to bad behaviour with love, doesn’t that reward the behaviour I don’t want?” Society has taught us that love is conditional; a reward for palatable behaviour. With Responsive Parenting we work to change this perspective so our children can experience unconditional love. Rather we see punishment as having risks of consequences, especially when expressions of love are revoked as punishment. It’s about no longer seeing love as a reward, but rather the oldest and most natural emotional regulation tool on earth. J. Milburn So how do you do this with a toddler whose primary goal is to seek autonomy? It can be challenging.
