I am listening to Rise of Kyoshi on audiobook. So mood. (She will of course allow you to sleep if she likes you and you are her friend.) My listening to the audiobook has absolutely nothing to do with my plans of writing a Kyoshi adopts Zuko fic. Nothing at all.

002- barbmura OR stricklander/angor rot

Barbmura

When I started shipping them: Some time between season 1 and season 2 airing.

My thoughts: I love Barbmura a lot, I wish it was more popular because I want more content of them. :^/ @im-the-king-of-the-ocean has a lot of really wonderful Barbmura fic that they’ve written which I still like to go back and revisit.

What makes me happy about them: WLW, human/changeling relationship, absolute tragedy in the making....

What makes me sad about them: Barely any canon interaction! The ToA writing team hates me personally.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Nothing in particular!

Things I look for in fanfic: The Angst. Both of them being morally grey is also My Jam.

My wishlist: Yandere!Nomura shit........ and Barb being really into it lol. Also fics where both of them are Jim’s bio parents.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Morgana and Claire for both, Stricklander for Nomura.

My happily ever after for them: Married and approximately 2,000 miles away from Stricklander.

Strickrot

When I started shipping them: The second they had a canon interaction.

My thoughts: Very fucked up, extremely underrated ship! Peak homoerotic antagonism! A lot of my favorite tropes rolled up into one.

What makes me happy about them: They hate each other so much.

What makes me sad about them: They hate each other so much.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Not enough fic of them for this to really qualify, but with rare exceptions I am not big into fluffy happy Strickrot. I like them because they’re yucky!

(Although again, Whirl has a really great AU for them that’s very Soft in a way that I actually really like.)

Things I look for in fanfic: Homoerotic antagonism!!! Toxic codependency!!!! Despising each other and everything the other stands for, but being unable to live without them!!!! Nasty and fucked up!!!!

My wishlist: C o n t e n t. Any fucked up content with them, please.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Jim for both! I also like Stricklander with Nomura and/or Otto lot.

My happily ever after for them: No happy endings in this house!!!!

the way I see it, depending on how hobbits age, Pippin was either a) a very young child (adorable) OR b) just a regular 12 year old, ie one of the most obnoxious ages it’s possible for a person to be. both options are great.

favorite thing about them

Petyr has been my favorite for a long time because not only does he hit all of my favorite marks when it comes to fictional characters, but he’s also deeply important to me for personal reasons. He’s a Bad Survivor™ and was really helpful and cathartic for me at a time in my life where I was really being weighed down by my past (and current at the time) trauma. Also he’s just a really sharp dresser.

least favorite thing about them

Pretty much every single decision made in the show. Aiden Gillen did a great job with what he was given, but the writing….. bad. Also really missed his fabulous outfits from the books.

Petyr is neither cis nor het. I HC him as genderfluid and pansexual greyromantic. When I used to be more actively involved in the fandom, there was only like…. one other person in my circle who was interested in exploring Petyr as queer, which I think is a real shame. He used to pal around with Renly, and as we all know The Gays™ all flock together lol.
