Getting back into "making music". I mean, I never exactly stopped, I should probably instead try getting back into "finishing music". Anyway here's an unfinished WIP, go figure 😩

Comment bingo - 5th line!
Andrew and I are so happy because we made another line and we are going to get a badge with our favorite colors! Courtesy of @feedthefandomfest (To be honest, Andy can't really see the colors but I told him those are my favorite and he agreed because he is a good friend!)
As always go give them some love to these fics if you want to! And keep commenting! A lot of my new entries are from The Harringrove Big Bang Collection! I still have to read most of them but they are all amazing!
Comment on a fic with under 50 hits: Dandelion Wishes by Carerra_os (@jellyfishloveletterghosts), rating T, WIP, Harringrove. This is a super sweet fic with child Billy and a very little magical Steve! And being part of the @bigbangharringrove it also has incredible art made by @raven-cl ! (now it has more than 50 hits like it deserves but I was lucky enough to be one of the first peole to read it!)
Theorize about world, character, and/or theme: and then you came by what_about_the_fish (@whataboutthefish), rating E, WIP, Harringrove. Another incredible fic from the @bigbangharringrove (so it has art as well! Made by LucaDoodleDoo) In a Dom/Sub universe Soft Dom Steve finds Billy, a Sub without a Dom that desperatly need one who took care of him like he deserves.
Epilogue comment: speculate on characters' futures: The Only Living Ghost In New York by beetlesandstars, rating M, complete, Steddie. A modern AU where Steve realizes that he is in love with Eddie... when Eddie gets married! It hurts so good!
Explain while the fic is better than canon: Let it happen by Romeren (@romeren), rating M, WIP, Harringrove, super sweet story written for bigbangharringrove and with beautiful art made by @lemonhitsu and @applewillowstone
Leave a long comment: Baby, I got sick this morning (heal me, darling)by TheRedHarlequin (@a-redharlequin) - rating: E, a lovely WIP with my favorite threesome: Steve, Billy and Eddie! Half sick fic and half magical AU! And it's not cheating if I put it again bacause it's a WIP and we finally got TO THE HOT CHAPTER and the world needs to know it! (Those are Andrew's the Octopus words, not mine, obviously...)
Tumblr media
The other fics that helped me fill my bingo card under the cut!
comment that is at least half keysmash: start by pulling him out of the fire by pricklywhicket, rating: E, complete, Steddie. This fic is SO good, I'm just at the first chapter but Wayne's characterization is amazing! If you are a Wayne lover (as I am) you have to read it!
Comment on a fic posted today: All I want for Christams is you, by LexiRoseWrites. rating: Teen and Up, Steddie, Complete. A sweet Christmas omegaverse fic!
comment detailing emotional devastation: hold me, scold me , by lydiah135 - rating: E, complete, Steddie. This fic has everythig! Transmasc Professional Dom Eddie, emotional pain and wonderful OCs! This is the 4th part of the series, I recommend to start from the first one!
revisit fic you read in the past & leave a(nother) comment: If I stare too long by brawls (brawlite) and ToAStranger, rating: E, complete- The first Metalsandwich fic I have ever read. It's hot, and fluff, and cute and it has incredible art!
Holy trinity: kudos, comment and bookmark: Sea of waking dreams by Oonionchiver, rating: E - Steddie, WIP. As everything that Azriel writes is intriguing, hot and supernatural!
Unhinged liveblogging reaction: Everybody wants you - Whataboutthefish - rating: E, complete - Harringrove. A sexy and painful song fic. It hurts so good!
Highlight & explains 3 favorite quotes: Baby, I got sick this morning (heal me, darling)by TheRedHarlequin - rating: E, a lovely WIP with my favorite threesome: Steve, Billy and Eddie! Half sick fic and half magical AU!

Daily Blog June 21, 2023
Hi! Welcome to my first day of fandom blogging! I'm very excited about doing this and hope you'll join in on the conversation and really hope that you might start one of your own!!! So on that note, lets get going.
What I'm reading:
I'm currently re-reading The Changeling by @annerbhp. It's a canon rewrite of sort, with a big twist. Here's the summary: Ginny is sorted into Slytherin. It takes her seven years to figure out why. It's 182K from Ginny's POV. It does follow canon to a point. I read this about 6 months ago and I still think about it when writing Drarry. I now have to give Ginny a positive break-up with Harry. LOL No dissing her because she's such a badass in this story. While it's listed as Harry/Ginny, it really is mostly a Ginny story for the main story. There's follow on stories after this one that are fab too.
It starts with Year 1 and the house sorting. Ginny is surprisingly sorted into Slytherin. She at first thinks its a joke done by her twin brothers, but then reality sets in. Most of her family is devastated and she feels completely isolated. This is a Ginny you'll recognize from canon and then so much more. If you longed for more Slytherin background and lore than canon gave us, this you will love. And if you think Slytherin is dominated by the males...well this will give you a headcanon that you won't forget.
What I'm writing:
The Azkaban Letters, which I'm so far behind on I want to cry. It's a 2007 WIP I started right before HPDH came out. So it's canon divergent after HBP. I did edit the first 7 to be more in line with canon and post canon. My issue is I have too much in my head and too many ideas to get down on paper...er on the computer. When I stopped writing it in 2007, I had posted the first 7 chapters on The Hex Files. It came over to AO3 during the transfer and has been staring at me in the face since then. I'm now up to 16 chapters, which sounds like a lot, but there's 4 sections to the story and I'm in the middle of section 2. sigh.
Tumblr Posts of Interest:
@xanthippe74 on her blog has reposted her 2020 fic, Follow the Water in honor of summer solstice. If you have not read this fic, you are in for such a treat. Perfect summer fic. Give her post a reblog and fic some love!
@julcheninred posted on her blog yesterday that it was the 5th anniversary of Draw Drarry badly. I so love her block H/D art, and so happy we've had five years of her sharing them with us. Make sure to reblog to share the Drarry fun!
3. HDMpreg2023 has posted the reveals on A03. TWENTY fics in all. I only got to read about 1/3 of them, but whoa there are some serious gems. (If I find the Tumblr post for this, I'll add it.)
4. @lcdrarry has also posted their reveals! My apologies to the fest and authors/artists. I've only read a few this round but plan on diving into the treasure trove of Drarry. This was a new fest for me to watch when I came back to fandom. While I don't watch many movies or watch tv much anymore, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow/understand the stories as well as I should. I was wrong. Most I have found I could enjoy without knowing the source.
Tumblr Drarry Fic/Art Resource:
I'm guessing most of you follow @drarryspecificrecsdaily, but in case not, you should definitely follow! They post Drarry completed fics which have been posted on AO3 for the current day. I have found some amazing gems from this resource. Fics I haven't seen discussed or recced anywhere else and authors I haven't been blessed reading before.
Okay, that's it for Day 1! Hope you found something interesting. I'll be switching around the categories on a daily basis. Tomorrow, I'll be adding in Fic Rec from the way past. Feel free to comment. :)

20 Questions for Fic Writers!
@dreamstone28737 tagged me on this fun thing <3 thank you love!
1- How many works do you have on AO3?
32! Holy shit that's a lot.
2- What's your total AO3 word count?
351,009 words and counting. Again, I'm shocked at how much I've got done lol
3- What fandoms do you write for?
Right now at this moment, Bridgerton.
4- What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1st- You Belong With Me - 821
2nd -Falling For You - 451
3rd - You're The Only Thing I'll Ever Need - 423
4th - Lost, Drifting - 407
5th - Faithfully - 397
(The next one is Bad Habits which never stops to surprise me just how many Kudos it gets since it was one I thought I wouldn't get anything from.)
(God, I need to update my WIPs)
5- Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Honestly? Only when I feel I have something to add to the comment. Sometimes I see a comment with "Great Chapter/Episode" (which I really absolutely love, btw. Any comment makes me so damn happy I can't even explain) and I never know what to say to that and I don't want the person to feel I don't care about their comments when I just reply with "Thanks! I'm Glad you liked it <3" and I keep thinking about different things to read and I never can and when I see it, I have a bunch of unanswered comments which makes me overwhelmed to start.
So yeah, I usually only reply when I know what to say lol
6- What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ending? (none? lol)
Posted, I'd say "The Way I Loved You", which I thought the ending might be kinda open? I don't usually do sad endings. I think "Faithuffy", "Of Noble Blood" and "You Belong With Me" have some rather angsty parts, along with "Lockdown" which touched a rather sensitive part of me. But all the endings were/will be (THEY WILL HAPPEN I PROMISE!) happy.
Unposted, it's probably "A Dead Man's Tale" which I'm writing right about now and I hope to start posting by Halloween on Tuesday (fingers crossed). The ending is... sentimental? Idk Kinda sad but happy too? I have no idea how to describe that. Either that or Raise a Little Hell, my Bonnie and Clyde, which will be my only NHEA story ever(if), when I get to write it.
(Feel free to tell me which of my fics you think it's the angstier. I'm curious!)
7- What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All of them? Lol
Walking The Wire because I finished it? sdakljfkdsgh I have no idea. Maybe Lockdown bc it's such a hard battle to end happily in the end.
(Which of my fics yall think is the happiest? Please tell me bc I have no idea.)
8- Do you get hate on fics?
Not on the Bridgerton ones, thankfully. Everyone that reads it is amazing which makes me really happy.
I had a pretty harsh time when I started on the Reylo Fandom in Star Wars. Not fun, I'll give you that.
9- Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I write hotter scenes, although I don't think I've ever finished an entire sex scene. That said, I have a one-shot called Stockings that is about 85% done which is porn/no plot that I might one day finish but I'm not that much of a fan of it, to be honest.
10- Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Unless you count crossover with Julia Quinn's own other series, no I don't.
11- Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of.
12- Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, which is kinda sad because I am a translator and I could very well do it myself lol but Idk if there are too many Portuguese-speaking readers that would be interested in it, and although I speak pretty good Spanish, I'm a tad out of practice and I don't master the written language nearly enough to attempt to translate something to Spanish.
13- Have you ever co-written a fic before?
A long time ago in a Galaxy far far away. It was... nice. And not at the same time. I hold myself to very VERY high standards, so I'm extremely self-critical and working with someone with different styles and ideas can be really harsh without trying to dictate the way you want the story to go. Plus the three times I did, we ended up giving up halfway through the story lol
14- What's your all-time favorite ship?
This is a stupid question and I hate it. I'm not good at picking. I am deeply, truly in love with Kathony, and have been for the past couple of years, but if I had to say at the top of my head, the oldest OTPs that have been in my heart, the ones here for the longest time and never really left are Percabeth from Percy Jackson and Jily from Harry Potter. Reylo and Rebelcaptain in Star Wars were also a very big part of me for a long time and I love them.
Asking all-time faves is mean.
15- What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Sought you, Sang you, Dreamed you, my Reylo Kidfic. I love it so much and I am so sorry my baby, but I can't focus on Reylo anymore. I have complete faith I will finish all my Kathony fics one day, I really do.
16- What are your writing strengths?
I honestly have no idea. As I mentioned, I am very self-conscious about what I do and I have incredibly high standards about myself. It's not uncommon to see me saying I hate my story and I won't post it and it's absolutely shit, I have no idea why people read it. So pointing out a quality is really hard.
I guess I'm good at dialogues? I always felt they sounded nice, idk.
17- What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm running a risk of repeating myself too much if I mention standards and self-consciousness, don't I?
I am terribly wordy. Nothing I do is short because I need 1k words for something I could have done in 200. I always feel people will get bored by it.
I also sometimes feel I have issues representing the emotions I'm trying to put through in my story. Many times you'll find me going to a neutral third party saying "Please tell me what's missing here." bc I feel it lacks.
Let's not mention the lack of self-discipline and the amount of time it takes me to write a story/update something. And overthinking things. Also coming up with more ideas than I have time to write.
18- Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I do that all the time? I am a native Portuguese speaker and English is my second language.
19- First fandom you wrote for?
Lol that's going far back, isn't it? I have been writing originals since I was 10 (I have a lil notebook with the first story I've ever written, it's adorable, but as usual, incomplete), but in 2011 I was obsessed with a soap opera called Rebelde (the Brazilian version, when I liked the Mexican RBD one, I didn't really know what fandom was yet. BUT I'M GOING TO THE CONCERT ON THE 9TH I'M SO EXCITED) and my first fic was a Roberta x Diego one, which is complete and (unfortunately, -or not- not all of it) available in Nyah Fanfiction, although I wish it wasn't bc it's truly shit. Like very very very shit. It was crazy, she died of lung cancer in the end. I swear to God, I had no clue what was going on with me at 14.
20- Favorite fic you've written?
Okay, look, this is not fun lol
I truly, honestly can't pick. Each one is special for me for a different reason. The Way I Loved You was my first Kathony. You Belong With me my first WIP and I have such a special place for it. I could go on and on for hours. I love them all, even the ones which are not my faves (Bad Habits, Reading Project).
But I will be absolutely thrilled if you guys tell me your fave of my fics. I would love a lot to know.
I'll tag @mimix007 @waterlilyrose, @harnitbee, @bellascarousel, @ladystanbury, @searching4paradiso, @alihightowers and her dragon people and @suspendingtime

WIP Tag ask
Despite not really having any WIPs at the moment, what are some ideas you wouldn't mind sharing with your Hogwarts Legacy story?
Well, first, unlike the game, Astraea Morgen (that's the name of my OC) starts at Hogwarts as a 1st year, but her ancient magic powers start manifesting themselves mostly during the summer between her 4th and 5th year, with some tiny hints of it at the end of her 4th year (starts seeing the glow). Also, I would spread the events of the game over 3 years (Year 5 to Year 7) because she still has classes to attend. I'm also planning to maybe add something related to the Merlin Trials as it would work with some of my HPHM fic ideas (Astraea is the great-grandmother of my HPHM OC, Alice Beaumont).
As she starts as a 1st year, that obviously changes her relationship with the various characters as she is not "the new 5th year". For example, she saves Sebastian from drowning when he falls into the water after the boat ride to Hogwarts as first years. He can’t swim, but she can, having grown up by the sea (as well as another reason 🤫). The idea that a girl saved him… Well, he is a boy of his era (Anne is different. She’s his twin, it’s not the same.) Not to mention the fact that he feels like he now owes her. After they are sorted into different houses, he decides unilaterally that she will be his rival. He will become better than her (his weird eleven-year-old logic is that if he’s better than her, she’ll eventually ask for his help so he won’t be in her debt anymore, and maybe she’ll end up in his). The rivalry becomes two-sided when she finds his tendency of trying to one-up her increasingly annoying. Two can play at this game. They become academic rivals until about the end of their 2nd year.
Starting as a first-year also allows her to get to know Anne Sallow. They were at the same table in potions along with Garreth and Poppy (Sharp likes mixing houses together) and they became close acquaintances or classroom friends if you might, but they didn’t really hang out outside of class. Anne does love teasing Astraea and Sebastian about their “rivalry” later on. This better explains why she would care about Anne getting cursed.
While I won't reveal EVERYTHING I've written in my headcanon doc (which you saw when I was debating between Astraea 1 vs Astraea 5), I will share the idea I had regarding the "ignorant" incident in the game:
Sebastian invites her to the winter/yule ball in their 6th year. He still calls her ignorant when he finds out about Lodgok, which pisses her off (for a Ravenclaw, it’s the supreme insult), so she tells him he can go to the ball alone, to which he replies, “Good luck finding someone who’d go to the ball with you.” Oh, now he’s gonna pay. To really piss him off, she manages to get invited by Hector Fawley, a 7th-year Ravenclaw (future Minister of Magic, maybe head boy? (TBD)). He’s a pompous prick but considered by many to be a catch because of his prospect. Now, picture that scene in Bridgerton when Daphne shows up to a ball after the Duke broke things off with her, and she goes down those stairs looking her best. Astraea pulls the same stunt with some help from her friends Natty and Poppy (and maybe Imelda, TBD), looking absolutely stunning in her dress. Sebastian is seething. Of all the idiots inside Hogwarts unworthy of her attention, she had to go with Fawley. She’s enjoying seeing him so vexed. Eventually excuses herself to go outside (she needs a break from Fawley talking about himself and other things that bore her). That's when their first kiss happens; after they argue again and he tries to stop her from walking away from him, he manages to grab her wrist as she says, “What are you going to do? Cast Imperio on me?” looking defiant af.
That's all for now!

Hannah's Updated WIP Masterlist
Okay, here is a current list of my WIPs. To be updated as I inevitably add more and more to the neverending list of projects. Because I'm me.
The Fall of the Sirens (novella trilogy) - sirens, selkies, mermaids, humans and a surprise 5th race going to war as sirens lose their cool and start eating humans and selkies indiscriminately.
Portal of Gods (short story) - gods come in through portals that make the weather in the god realm happen on the mortal realm - and that includes when it's raining gold flecks from the sky
Tragedy Doesn't Stop Me (She Employs Me) (short story) - a young woman who's been told that her father died tragically before she was born - and never really hears anything more about him - not only gets the shock of her life when death herself tries to convince her to help the spirits that can't possibly move on from their lives, but also when she finds out that her father is none other than her favorite god. She has always felt a strong connection to the god, but she never in her life would have guessed it was because he helped to conceive her. And when she and her mother learn why he disappeared from their lives, she goes through a range of emotions, which end in vengeful. It's been stressful time for this young demigoddess.
Harmonic Krambit (short story) - horror story about a demon that rides a unicorn whose horn it uses it dessimate its victims.
Humanity's Demon 2.1 (novel) - draft 3 of Humanity's Demon. Tracing back to its roots by going back to a comedy story simply about a demon with social anxiety and their friend who's a social butterfly pushing them to face their phobia of socializing... but with a few added friends (from draft 2).
A Nightmare's Fantasy (novella tetralogy) - 4 novellas that combine murder mystery and romance. A group of people are summoned to a fancy island and stranded there, while being picked off one by one, but at some point there seems to be a mimic killer and things get really interesting.
Death's Lullaby - a short horror story pertaining to a siren that abducts and takes the place of a young girl and slaughters everyone that gets in her way/crosses her path.
The Haunted House (short story, possible novella) - a house becomes sentient and then becomes haunted when a ghost befriends it after realizing how lonely it has gotten over the 60 years of being abandoned. Little does the ghost know the house has a past that may try to haunt IT.

POST-FIC TALK: like a ripple in a pond
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basic Stats
pairing: heizou / reader
time: i started working on this fic a day after valentine's day... so this fic took months.
total word count: 18k words, close to 19k words. i know... i'm shocked myself... but it makes sense considering this fic had 6 drafts. 5 drafts just for fleshing out the story and the 6th to touch up on the 5th draft.
deviation: 4/5
*deviation from original is on a scale of 1-5, 1 being there was no change and 5 being it was completely changed.
Notes
i was so close to giving up on this fic. but i badly wanted to write something for heizou and this was the only idea i had for him. i didn't want to add any more wips, lol. but, somehow, after my friend briefly lamented about the heizou drought, i had this conviction that i would get this heizou fic written. i partially did the heizou hang out and suddenly, the story i was battling with for 4 drafts came together in the 5th. it's not magic, but writing really feels like magic sometimes, haha. wrote 4k words in one sitting, and then proceeded to add and adjust it for the fic to be what it is. i'm really excited to share this because i wanted to break through and write longer fics, and this is proof that i can do it! so i'm really happy!
Deviation
now, with 5 drafts... you might be wondering... what the heck happened? a lot. a lot changed and a lot stayed. you can check out my thoughts as i worked on the story through this tag on my wip blog.
this was originally supposed to be a valentine's day fic, because i had this idea of using valentine's day couple promotions. the idea was fake dating, with heizou and reader pretending to be a couple to get some delicious katusdon, only for heizou to not appear for the next year. that year, reader, determined to get the discount, went with a random stranger they could rope into their plan. it worked, but unfortunately, the rules changed the next year where couples have to prove their relationship. this made heizou kiss reader and they go back and talk about the kiss because, surprise, surprise, both of them actually liked each other!
but the reason why it was not working was... the more i wrote, the harder it was to justify why heizou disappeared for that one year. and details were just not aligning with each other. for example, a year's time is very long. so what if someone appears with different partners? a lot can happen in a year. and i couldn't write the ending scene where reader comes to their senses and realise they do like heizou.
as i was fumbling for ideas, i remembered the titles that a good friend of mine gave. one of them was LIES, AND THE TRUTH THEY REVEAL, so i started leaning more towards the idea of reader lying about their feelings.
unfortunately, that did not work out too well. but, one day, as i was just chilling, i had this sudden thought that... when you're infatuated with someone, sometimes you'll lie to yourself to go to certain places so that you can bump into them. it's a little bit like stalking but this point is for another story. i tried to expand on the idea that reader was visiting places that heizou would be... but heizou was really hard to track down... like. he would only be found if he wanted to be found, so reader's efforts wouldn't be fruitful (unless i went full stalker route with the story, which i played around with for a while). this was the start of the 4th draft iirc…
at one point i decided not to have a kiss scene. (sorry, my only idea of romance is kissing.) as i started expanding on this idea of "going somewhere in hopes to bump into the person you like"... somehow the kiss scene came back, LOL.
playing heizou's story quest really helped as i managed to pick out traits he liked in a person, as well as his mentality and attitude towards some things, which also sort of explained why the first idea didn't work out for him. probably another character, but not heizou.
welp. so in conclusion, the story deviated a lot. the kiss scene stayed, and reader's reluctance to admit they liked heizou also stayed. or more like liking heizou is a dangerous game, something i wrote half-heartedly in one of my earlier drafts. i even shared that snippet but i wasn’t sure why i felt that paragraph was good. i guess that's the core of the fic?
Title
some might have realised that... the title in my WIP masterlist is not the same as the title i ended up going with. another title i considered was UN-CON A CON MAN. however, the story somehow did not involve a lot of lying at all? or at least, if i were to use the titles for a story, i would like it to have more lying and scheming involved, which this fic does not. so i went through my list of titles and stumbled upon LIKE RIPPLES IN A POND. i don't really know why i was drawn to it, but i chose it, and it made draft 5 really smooth.
it was only during the beta phase did i think deeper about the connection between the title and the story. i quite like the implications because what i came up with was... in heizou's point of view, ripples can only happen if another ripple happened. like, there needs to be a sequence of events, which ties to his disbelief in coincidence. a lot of the fic talks or briefly mentions how reader and heizou meet each other again. everything is supposed to feel like a coincidence but if you think about it, it's not. it's because of a previous action that laid the foundation for the next, and the next.
for reader's point of view... i added it somewhere in the story but they are compared to a ripple because their actions are small but make a large impact. the character of reader is someone pretty submissive or unwilling to hear their own feelings, so they have a lot of pent up emotions and desires that they don't voice, and this is something only intuitive and observant heizou noticed in the story. (bertha doesn't count because reader had to say it for her to be like... oh... oh man :( you need to speak up!! she probably would not have learned of this if she didn't pester reader about them rejecting her invitations to tour the city together. i don't know if i made that clear.)
do i wish i incorporated the title more closely with the writing style? a little, but at the same time i wanted the fic to focus more on the mystery than the poetry, and i do not have the skills to weave both poetic prose with the sense of... mystery. if that make sense.
Overall
again, sometimes writing feels like magic. i don't really know how to explain how i got from one point to another. most of it is done by instinct or feelings that something is right and something is wrong. another thing is... sometimes i don't even know the meaning of some decisions until much later, when i can piece back the dots. it can be really frustrating to write like that, but i think it's also equally satisfying because you'll be surprised by what you can do.
i hope to be able to write more fics like these! and also be able to sharpen my eyes to eventually write long fics more smoothly. or to also train myself to have a bit more control in senses so i can be more directive with writing rather than just "go with the flow". (balance is good.)
this is probably the most i've written for a story. it's pretty encouraging, haha.

WIP Wednesday/Sentences: Friday Edition
So, the original tag game is called WIP Wednesday, but since it takes me freaking forever to answer any tags or asks, this is the time I got it done lol!
Anyway, thank you so much @asirensrage for the tag! You always seem to tag me in writing games and give me the tiny motivation to add some more sentences to my long lists of WIPS! 😂
Rules: Post the last sentence you wrote (fanfic / original/other) and tag as many people as there are words in a sentence. (or not)
Tagging: Any of my writer friends who are reading this that's been meaning to work on their WIPS!
WIPS can be found in the keep reading section!
1.) A little Wicked, my unpublished Scream oc, Linda Sandoval, fanfic.
Tumblr media
It seemed like, no matter where they were or what they were doing, Linda’s mother would always talk about flowers and their meanings.  Like a rose could mean fidelity and love.  A simple white lily could mean purity or sweetness. And even a dahlia flower could mean instability…
2.) Back in Black, my unpublished Supernatural oc, Elizabeth Winchester, fanfic.
Tumblr media
“It’s okay, Sammy” Liz spoke softly, just like her mother showed her when Sam was too fussy. “What a good big sister you are Do you take care of Sam a lot?” Azazel asks interested. His bright yellow eyes gleamed, looking as if he had an idea.  The two-year-old child in turn smiled big and nodded. “ I love taking care of Sammy, and helping Mommy with him” Liz replied happily.  “I have something to give Sam, would you like to help me?” Azazel asked with a smirk.
3.) Crazy Train, my Stranger Things Oc, Benjamin Hopper , fic that's been published and taken down so I can rewrite the first chapter for the 5th time 💀
Tumblr media
Ben looked up and felt himself tensing up again, trying to brace himself for the interrogation he was probably about to face. But, it didn’t come, instead, Benny was examining the newest cuts on his hands. “Alright bud, let’s get these cuts cleaned up, thankfully they don’t look like they need stitches,” Benny said while he led Ben to the sink in the kitchen.
4.) Cosmic Twins: Chapter Two, my MCU, Guardians of the Galaxy oc, Kevin Quill, fic that's probably the only one posted out of my WIPS 💀 God this gif I inserted below is so old 😳 That tells you how long it's been since I've even worked on him or his fic 😥
Tumblr media
“I don’t wanna say I told you so, but I told you so…” Kevin grumbled with an annoyed huff, crossing his arms.
5.) Set Fire to Rain(Book 2 from my The Walking Dead Oc series featuring my oc, Everleigh Horvath) Have I even posted or written chapter one out of book one? Absolutely not but do I still write some quick scenes that stick out to me that I wanna add into the future? Yes... yes I do. So, this is why this one is longer than the others lmao.
Tumblr media
As Daryl started to walk away from her and Rick, Eve, in a quick desperate attempt to stop him from moving, grabbed onto his arm, pulling him back towards her, making him turn around to meet her eyes.  Eve couldn’t fathom him leaving her side, their family’s side now after what they had all already been through together.  “Daryl please don’t…wha-what about us? Eve asked, staring into the other man's eyes in a silent plea. They haven’t even talked about what they had yet, not even had a chance anyway. About the small meaningful touches, sharing a bed to keep the nightmares away, or even the other night of shared passion.   Daryl refused to meet her gaze still, ever since Merle had forced his way back into their group’s life he hadn’t looked at her.  He then roughly yanked his arm away from Eve’s grasp, which in turn made her stumble forward a bit from the force.  “We aren’t anything…you were just some quick fuck” Daryl spat, meaning to be spitful as he finally looked into Eve’s eyes.  But, Eve could see that he didn’t mean it…there was guilt in his eyes and regret in his voice.

16 17 and 19 for ask meme ?
Qkgkskgks thank you for asking!!
16. What's the weirdest thing you've used as a bookmark?
I read a lot on PDF and even on paper I don't use bookmarks. HOWEVER... The weirdest bookmark i do use sometimes is my phone skgjdjfj
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
Right now I'm mainly writing for another fandom, Hollow Knight. I started a really chill project in which I explore post-canon events of one of the endings. I've posted 4 chapters, I'm halfway through the 5th out of 16-20 chapters? Since this isn't the fandom this work belongs to I won't dwell for too long, but I can talk about it more in my HK sideblog (@fungal-wasted) (I'm a little desperate i need to talk about it)
FOR THIS FANDOM: I have been delaying a Chara essay for far too long skgkdjf I also have some thoughts related to Frisk in neutral endings, and a Pre canon Sans and Toriel fic that had lived in my brain for A While but I have not written because idk how to start.
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?
PFFFT. So I barely consider myself a writer but I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about writing or telling stories. This is long but hopefully not tedious to read!!
8 year old me would write in the format of a play (with formal notations and all) about my first OCs. They were average for a kid that age to be honest. I remember one was named Carmín. Whatever. I just wrote because it was fun to make stories. I also hated reading so not even my old self would have cared about the story lol.
9-11 I had some self insert OCs who were 3 sisters and they went to a lot of vague fantasy places. Never wrote a story down, just had very vivid images and I'd talk to myself roleplaying my characters... Man i was a little weird. It's OK though. It was fun.
By 12-14 i got into Wattpad. I was into Heroes of Olympus and got introduced to fanfiction there. There were also my first attempts at translation and they weren't great but i had a lot of readers. It improved my English inmensively, despite it all. I was into YA literature but I was a bit dumb, not too critical and ashamed about it.
15-18 pure silence. I read some stuff, wrote nothing and I thought I was cringy, I also left Wattpad for the most part, knew about AO3 but rarely frequented it...
And now we're here. I started writing fic regularly whenever I'd get an idea to share, or a scene in my mind that I wanted to portray and add to the piles of fic that sometimes didn't have what I was looking for. It also became a good chance to understand conversations, intent and such better and to have an outlet for all my thoughts. I also like writing essays or such on occasion. OH and it was a chance to write in English too and practice!!
The biggest bumps are when you feel the structure of your story shaking under the weight of inconsistency and or lack of a way to address what you want and have the desired effect.
Now I like both character studies and worldbuilding, and that's what my writing tries to do! I'm also trying to get back into translation (check out @tortadecuchufli ). I want to try out different things and maybe branch out to original writing at some point in the future but who knows.

Once Upon a September...
...in a quiet little cafe, the patrons were sitting quietly, reading fanfics from this year's past Fest. Some tried to write, some tried to draw, but the Fest drop is real and everyone felt very mellow. Then, from the back kitchen came three witches shouting good news to all: It's fairytale month!!
That's right, this is your month to retell those classic tales you grew up on with a MI6 twist. Will little Cinderella Bond get to go to the ball? Is the fearsome Baba Q really so frightening? And just what will Eve find when she climbs up the beanstalk that suddenly grew in the MI6 garden?
We welcome all kinds of fairytale inspired creations, and if you're overwhelmed by all the choices, we've created a prompt table for you to mix and match and get yourself started. You can also check out here for a list of tons of fairytales, and check out this blog post for tips to get started writing your own fairytale. As always, tag your creations with #MI6CafeChallenge for us to find and reblog.

For the flower ask game:
Lilac, Lily, & Petunia, your choice of OC
Thank you for the ask, and the chance to talk about my OCs! I really like considering these little details for them.
For this ask, I'll choose Kade from my novel WIP "Apricots" since he hasn't been getting as much attention as Ian lately. He hasn't even officially appeared on-page in the latest draft, so he deserves some character development off-page at least.
Lilac: Kade does have a comfort item, a necklace that he got from his childhood friend -- who later became his girlfriend. He's been ostracized and harassed all his life for his selective mutism and stutter (autistic traits in his case, but also a consequence of talking to ghosts in a non-translatable language from a young age). When he's targeted, his safe places are either as close as he can get to his partners (originally just Jess, when she was still only his childhood friend) or the quietest corners he can find. When Jess had to take a medical leave from school in 5th grade and he lost her as a safe haven there, she had her parents take her to the mall and picked out matching necklaces. Simple chains with dog paw pendants, since they both loved dogs. She told him it was a special charm to link them together. A reminder that even when everyone seemed to hate him or see him as a joke, there was still someone who wanted to be by his side and listen to what he had to say in whatever way he could say it. He's worn that necklace every day since, only ever changing it to add a rose pendant once Ian joined his and Jess's relationship as their boyfriend -- referencing how Ian jokes that he'd give them both roses every day if he could. Kade's also developed a habit of fidgeting with the pendants and holding them close to himself whenever he's feeling nervous or lonely. He keeps the paw pendant after Jess dies, too, to keep the living version of her close to himself when the ghost version is forgetful or hard to understand.
Lily: Kade's love languages are quality time and physical touch. He hates touch from strangers and feels awkward in a gathering of acquaintances, but with his loved ones these are his favorite things. He loves nothing more than to sit with his lovers while they play a game or watch a show together, and all the better if he can curl up on one or both of their laps or nuzzle them affectionately. Making out and other forms of physical intimacy are also very important to him, though he prefers when he doesn't have to initiate those things since he fears he won't communicate well in that situation. He's a lot like a cat, in his enjoyment of just... being there with his loved ones.
Petunia: The last time Kade cried was when he was talking with Jess's ghost and she forgot that she was the one who gave him his precious necklace. She clearly felt an attachment to it, and praised it plenty, but the actual memory was gone. He always gets sad when ghosts forget those things, not knowing how long before the memory will come back and dill them with an unobtainable longing, but it hurt worse coming from her. It hurt so much worse, being about the thing that tied them together. She didn't even remember having worn the same one, with the same pendants. When she asked him why he was crying, it was the first time in all the years they'd known each other that he hadn't been able to explain himself. He just left the orchard where he'd been talking to her and walked back home. Processing her death all over again the whole way.

Hi! I saw your post for fan-fiction writer asks. Not sure if these are too many though. 11, 13, 16, 17, 19, 29, 32, 33, 40.
Hello Yumesakiii~~ and it is alright
[ Ask questions from here~! ]
11. How would you describe your style? (Character/emotion/action-driven, etc)
I am not sure to be honest, out of my head I think I try to persuade readers to think about why the character chooses one side over the other and if not question them a little. Sometimes I just want to tell a story sometimes I want you guys to understand the character's thoughts. Sooo... emotion driven...?
13. When did you start writing fanfic?
If we are talking about notes books filled to the brim of cliches and powerpuffgirls then around elementary 5th grade. If we are talking about writing fics to upload onto the internet kind of thing probably at middle school 1st or 2nd grade since that is around the time I found fanfiction.net
16. What fanfic tropes do you avoid writing for?
Hmmmm this is a bit hard not gonna lie cause like it depends on whether I am writing yandere/obsession themes or not probably.
Romance-wise: huge misunderstanding where both parties are sad or distressed, you probably won't see me write. Most forms of cheating is another one, fake dating as a way to get back at an ex also probably not gonna happen. The second chance trope will kill me, anything with so much hurt. Secrets that the other needs to know will make me grab that character's neck. Yandere-wise: pregnancy, reader/darling knows their lover is a yandere and is okay with it or uses it, really heartless readers, that trope where the yandere captures darling and the darling falls for the sidekick of the yandere (it is okay if the yandere is fine with it but if not.... probably not)
... and etc. I am really picky guys lmao
17. What fanfic tropes do you gravitate to writing for?
The very very obvious ones would probably be found family and yandere or a mix of those two lol. A hurt child looking for someone to take care for them, sad/hurt character finds someone who could be their support (whether they want to be or not is a totally different story) (Medival or just) Magical fantasy tropes, many of them I just adore Arranged/forced marriage (or blackmail) I want to play around more too Love triangles/reverse harems
... and etc. There are more but i think i told all my main ones
19. What words do you think you tend to use the most?
Currently, right now I have [yet/but synonym] opened on my laptop lmao. Hmmm, there are also a lot of questions in my works like the reader or character is asking questions to themselves kind of things so [why, how, when] Words like cute or adorable I did notice I use often in a lot of my works.
29. What part of the writing process do you enjoy the most? (Brainstorming, outlining, writing, editing, etc)
I don't like any lmao-/j Brainstorming is me mentally crying that I must add something to my ever-growing list of wips. Outlining is me realizing that it was just the start and not the end- Writing is me complaining to myself why I am such a slow writer- Editing is me dragging myself back to the top and looking at the words again seeing hundreds of red lines from Grammarly. Even posting, I find hashtags a hassle- I am half joking and half serious lmao TvT
Hmmm, probably the outline, building the skeleton of the story! while I do occasionally complain to myself I like to start many works sometimes it makes things easy one way or another
32. What story do you think showcases your signature style the most?
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Do i even have one?-kidding hmmm I guess platonic yandere wise Siblings Account would probably be it! Yandere wise maybe Yan!Albedo x reader Cecilia Tea
33. Have you ever stopped yourself from writing something? Why?
............. worry if it is okay to post it here. *sweats*
40. What area of writing do you want to improve in?
Everything.

FAQ
Nominations
What can I nominate?
You can nominate relationships that include anyone associated with Crooked Media as a podcast host or contributor, a real-life partner of a pod host, or a Crooked Media employee.
A relationship can include two or more people. Please note that romantic relationships are denoted by / and platonic relationships are denoted by &. Thus, if you’d like to see a romantic story between person A and person B, you’d nominate that relationship as A/B. If you wanted to receive purely platonic fic without any romantic components, you’d nominate them as A&B. You can also combine & and / and nominate, for example, A/B & C, in which case A/B would be romantic and C would be a platonic part of the ship.
How do I nominate relationships for this exchange?
Go to the tag set! You're allowed to nominate up to 5 relationships during the nomination phase.
Sign-ups
How do sign-ups work?
On the collection page, find the button that says ‘Sign up’ and follow the prompts. You can request and offer any of the previously nominated relationships (no matter if you nominated them or not). You can request between 3 and 6 relationships for which you’d like to receive fic, and can offer to write between 4 and 10 relationships.
Do I have to write a letter to my author?
No, you do not have to write a letter to your author, though you are absolutely welcome to write a letter with optional details, prompts, or whatever else strikes your fancy. Leaving your author optional details in the sign-up field is not required either, but strongly encouraged. The details are optional, but some authors find it helpful to know what kind of story you’d like to receive, which tropes or prompts you’d really like to see written, or what your Do Not Wants (DNWs) are.
How does matching work?
The Hot Pod Summer exchange matches on relationships. Your assigned recipient will have requested at least one relationship that you offered to write. If you have entered optional details or DNWs in your AO3 sign-up boxes, these may also be taken into account when matching. Once matching is done, you will receive an email with your recipient’s AO3 username and their requests.
Assignments
What are the requirements for the story I’m writing?
Your story must feature at least one of the relationships requested by your recipient. It must also be a complete story (no “I’m posting chapter 1 now and other chapters later”, please!) of at least 1,500 words.
If I offered more than one ship that my recipient requested, which one do I write? If I want to write a ship they requested that I didn’t offer, am I allowed to do that?
As long as your story features at least one of the ships they requested, you’re good. If you offered more than one of their ships, which one you end up writing is totally up to you.
Is my assignment a secret?
Your assignment is a secret until authors are revealed. Please do not discuss the story you’re writing publicly, we all want to be surprised on reveals day. :) If you need to contact your recipient because you have a question about their sign-up or for whatever other reason, please do not contact them directly, even anonymously! Instead, email us at [email protected] and we will contact your recipient to ensure anonymity is maintained.
What if I can’t complete my assignment before the deadline?
Please reach out to us. We’re here to help, but we have to know if there’s a problem. We have a default deadline set for a week before assignments are due and while we understand that last-minute things can happen, it would really help mods with planning if we got a heads-up from you a week before your assignment is due if you think you won’t be able to turn in a story -- just hit the ‘default’ button on your My Assignments page if you need to. That way, we can send your assignment to a pinch hitter and ensure your recipient doesn’t go gift-less.
Am I guaranteed to receive a gift?
If you signed up for the exchange and turned in a story, you are guaranteed to receive a gift. If you default and your author does not, you will also receive a gift. If you default and your author defaults as well, you may not receive a gift, depending on availability of pinch hitters.
Can I make a fanmix/video/draw fanart instead of writing a story?
This is a writing exchange, so for your assignment, please stick to writing a story of at least 1,500 words. You’re welcome to add art, music, etc. to the story you wrote, but this is primarily a fanfiction exchange.
Can I write more than one story for my recipient?
Oh my god, you overachiever! :) Yes, you totally can. In that case, you’d post the extra gift as a treat, but you’re of course only asked to write one story.
What is a pinch hitter and how do I become one?
A pinch hitter fills in for somebody else who can’t complete their assignment and writes a story for that person’s recipient. A pinch hitter may be somebody who’s already participating in the exchange, but if you aren’t formally participating in the exchange and would like to pinch hit instead, you’re more than welcome to. If you’d like to pinch hit, please fill out the form any time after sign-ups begin (it will be linked here and/or posted on social media) or email us at [email protected].
Can I write treats?
YES. All requests will be made public after assignments go out and if you’re inspired by one (or more!) requests that aren’t your assignment, you’re welcome to write a little bonus story (=a treat) on top of your assignment for anybody else who signed up for the exchange. You may also write treats if you aren’t officially participating in the exchange. Treats do not have to fulfill the minimum word count and may be multimedia.
How do I find a beta reader for my story?
If you’d like another pair of eyes on your story before you publish it, you can email [email protected]. In the email, please tell us: the ship you’re writing, the word count of your story, and what kind of beta you need (for example: SPAG, structure, canon, special knowledge of [certain subject or matter], etc.) and we’ll try our best to connect you with someone to look it over for you, though we can’t guarantee it.
I would like to beta someone else’s story!
Great! Sign up using this form here and if anyone needs a beta, we may contact you with their request.
Posting
How do I post my assignment?
In the top right corner of AO3, where it says “Hi, [your username]”, select “My assignments” from the dropdown menu, find the Hot Pod Summer exchange and click “Fulfill”. You’ll be taken to a form where you can input your story, title, etc. Preview it, make sure it looks how you want it to, and click on Post. Your story will automatically post into the Hod Pod Summer collection as a gift to your recipient. It will remain unrevealed in the collection until an admin reveals it.
Can I edit my story after the deadline?
Yes, you can edit your story until it’s revealed, but please do not upload an unfinished story.
How do I post a treat?
Posting a treat works a little bit differently than posting your assignment. In order to post a treat, you have to visit the Hot Pod Summer collection page (you’re probably on it now if you’re reading this FAQ) and click “Post to collection”. This will take you to a posting form that has the collection name already filled in, so it’ll be posted in the right place. From there, fill in the AO3 name of your treat recipient manually and then input your title, story, etc., preview it to make sure it looks the way you want it to look, and then click on Post.
Story reveals
What are staggered reveals and why are you doing them?
Staggered reveals mean that we’re only publishing a small number of stories at a time every day, thus, you might get your gift on any day during the reveals period. We’re doing this so every story can get the attention it deserves and readers aren’t overwhelmed by a lot of stories dropping at the same time.
How do staggered reveals work?
We will email you the night before the story you wrote will go live (please check your email!). That way, you’ll have the chance to put that day’s date on your story and make sure it appears at the top of the collection once your story is revealed.
Do I have to comment on my gift?
Look, we can’t mandate it, but please comment on your gift. It’s the polite thing to do if somebody else took the time and effort to write a story for you.
Any other questions?
Email us at [email protected] and one of us will get back to you.

A fluffy Jily first kiss one-shot, with some bonus Remus/Lily friendship to go with it.
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Yes! Some times it takes me a few days to get back to them, but I love comments and seeing what people think. I also love talking about my writing!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Ha! I had to think for a minute, but there's really no question. To Go On Without Him is a Lily Lives AU one-shot-that-could-get-more-chapters. It's the least happy ending fic I have.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Okay, I started responding that most everything I write has a happy ending, but then I looked through my fic list and, uh... that's not even almost true. I have way more angst than I realized. Three Strikes is my only multi-chap, but it will have a happy ending. As far as happy one-shots, I think I'd either go with Just a Little Kiss, which is a Jily first kiss/get together one-shot for @efkgirldetective's Summer of Jily prompt 5, or Let's have a baby, where James and Lily choose to have a baby.
Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Okay, first, I think there's a difference between a crossover - i.e. Tony Stark falls in love with Dr. Who - and an adaption - where the characters from the fandom follow a plot like another story. I won't say never, but I can't see myself doing a crossover. An adaption, however...
No, you can't make me write the Cars AU via the Marauders. I won't. I definitely haven't started it.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I haven't, thankfully! The fandom has been good to me so far.
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Yes. lol. I've written both M/M and F/M, but I wouldn't rule out others in the future. Depends on where the inspiration strikes.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of!
Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, and as amazing as that would be, I can't imagine anyone wanting to.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! I would consider it, but I'm worried I don't have the time to dedicate to it.
What’s your all time favorite ship?
Oh no. Don't make me pick.
It definitely changes periodically, depending on what I'm in the mood for. I started reading only Hinny, then moved on to Jily, then Wolfstar. I've been writing and reading a lot of Jily lately, but I've also been reading a lot of Wolfstar. So all of them, periodically.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Ugh, I refuse to doom any of them like this.
What are your writing strengths?
I think my best bits are the shocking one lines - whether dialogue or no. I love building up tension to that one line that just makes your jaw drop.
What are your writing weaknesses?
I struggle so much with the flowery descriptive language. I sometimes end up writing dialogue and going back later to add the little bits that make it feel real.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
As a reader, I love it, but only with convenient translations so that I don't get lost in the story. If I have to stop reading to translate and figure out what's going on, then it's a bit of a pain.
I know a tiny bit of French and a tiny bit of Spanish, and I've considered writing some lines in other languages, but it would definitely be a line or two and not a conversation. And honestly, it would probably be purely for the purpose of turning on the other person who can't translate it in the fic.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter, specifically Hinny.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Three Strikes, for sure. I never really thought I'd enjoy writing a multichapter because I was worried that the pressure of writing it and delivering the next chapter in a reasonable time frame would be too much. I actually have a few that are as written or more as Three Strikes was when I started posting, but I thought I wanted to finish it before posting. I thought that, given my time issues, having it completed or mostly completed would make it easier to finish.
But posting Three Strikes while I was still writing made the fic develop into something I never expected. There are things in there that would never have existed without input, and I love where it's ended up.
Tagging:
I'm skipping tags because I think just about everyone has done this already, but if you haven't, please do! And tag me! I want to know more about you.
