Funny story related to this song: My grandpa is someone who will absolutely make up bullshit on the spot if you ask him something he doesn't know. My mom asked him if he knew what the title (Adiemus) and so he told her it was Latin but couldn't recall what it meant.

This is because it is not Latin. In fact, it's not any real language at all! The writer, Karl Jenkins (and maybe others? Idk) just made up words that flowed nicely with the song. It's a fictional language, rather than any real, recognized language.

Good Omens S3 speculation playlist

These pieces have sort of drifted into becoming the soundtrack for all my wild speculations about what Season 3 might bring, acting as placeholder music until David Arnold works his Euterpean magic -- see what you think! :D

Dies Irae (Karl Jenkins Requiem (link goes to youtube playlist of the full album, 'cos it's awesome and seriously worth listening to)) -- this is far and away my favourite version of the Dies Irae; it feels particularly appropriate for GO because it's borderline bebop and sounds like something Crowley'd have playing loudly in the Bentley while driving like fury to save the world (or possibly invading Heaven to rescue his True Love) if he felt Queen wouldn't quite cut it. Plus, per this post, the four-note Dies Irae motif appears a few times in the score to S1 (appropriately enough!) -- why not try listening to the OST again and finding them all? ;D

Dancing Mad (Nobuo Uematsu FF6) -- bit of an oddball association, I know; I happened to be reading a post making jokes about Kakfa (as in Franz Kakfa) shortly after the release of S2, only I mis-parsed 'Kafka' as 'Kefka' (as in Kefka Palazzo) and was promptly deluged with mental images of the Ineffables being badass adorable together to the tune of Dancing Mad! XD Plus, I like the image of Heaven suddenly hearing the organ notes at 11:32 crescendoing in the background, and the elevator doors slamming open right when the vocal-ish bit kicks in at 11:51 to reveal a certain VERY cheesed-off serpent who's in a rescuing mood :D (He does love to be dramatic, after all ^^)

Adiemus (Karl Jenkins Symphonic Adiemus) -- I just really like this track, and it feels kind of appropriate for a moment of renewed hope and building optimism after a moment of what Tolkien called 'eucatastrophe' and TVTropes calls 'Near Villain Victory' -- something we're almost certain to get in S3

In Caelum Fero (Karl Jenkins Symphonic Adiemus) -- from the same album as Adiemus above (In Caelum Fero is the first track, actually, so I've make the link one that takes you to the start of the playlist). It sounds threatening and dramatic and hopeful by turns -- appropriate for the Apocalyptic situation that's brewing for S3 -- and the title translates from the Latin as 'I will bear you to Heaven', which matches up to The Final Fifteen in two or three different ways! ;_; (#FuckTheMetatronWithACactus)

Sanctus (Karl Jenkins The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace) -- ever since I first heard this track waay back in 2001, I've associated it with the image of hordes of angels marching to war; it certainly sounds ominous enough!

I'll Be Your Mirror (Velvet Underground) -- I got into Velvet Underground entirely because of Good Omens! I love this track in particular because it sounds so utterly perfect for one of the Ineffables trying to bolster the other's confidence (in my imagination, it's usually Crowley trying to boost Aziraphale, 'cos that poor angel's self-esteem is atrocious :( *hugs*)

Pale Blue Eyes (Velvet Underground) -- Crowley's fave VU song, I gather :D Plus, despite the title, this particular love song was apparently written for someone with hazel eyes (just like our angel!) :D

I Found A Reason (Velvet Underground) -- I can't offhand remember seeing this song mentioned in fandom discussions of VU, which seems a bit of a shame; it feels just so darn PERFECT as a summary of how the Ineffables feel about each other! <3

Edit/addition 18/02/2024:

The Dark Morris Song (Steeleye Span, Wintersmith album) -- this one's an absolute bop, is connected to Discworld (so Aziraphale would probably approve!) and is very thematically appropriate for the Ineffable Husbands; Pterry thought up the Dark Morris (danced in secrecy and silence, in black costumes, deep in the forest, to welcome the winter -- first mentioned in Reaper Man, becomes a plot point in Wintersmith) as a counterpart and counterbalance to the traditional Morris dance to welcome the summer. The whole 'balance of light and dark' thing is a big part of the Ineffables' story <3

The Good Witch (Steeleye Span, Wintersmith album) -- also a very good match for the Ineffable Husbands' vibe; the first half of the song is about a witch being good and loving and caring even if she is 'ugly' or gets tagged as 'wicked' for whatever reason (A. J. Crowley, anyone???), and the second half is the actual Terry Pratchett doing a spoken-word reading of his passage about what 'cackling' means for Discworld witches -- which matches up uncomfortably well with what the impossibly high standards Heaven imposes on Aziraphale have already done to his psyche in terms of c-PTSD and compassion fatigue, and what they might still do in the worst-case scenario...

Stranger In Paradise (Alexander Armstrong version) -- I just feel like this coincidentally matches the Vibes (tm) of bits and pieces of the Ineffable Husbands' story! "Won't you answer the fervent prayer/Of this stranger in Paradise/Don't send me in dark despair/From all that I hunger for!" -- The Final Fifteen/Ineffable Breakup, anyone? "If I stand starry-eyed/That's a danger in Paradise" -- danger of angel/demon relationships being discovered. "I saw your face/And I ascended" [...] "Somewhere in space/I am suspended/Until I know/ There's a chance that you care" -- bits of 'Before the Beginning' and The Final Fifteen! Plus, the title alone feels perfect for Azzy's feelings/situation at the end of S2... Brb, crying!

Explaining My na'vi oc's clan; Teyreyma clan.

My native lenguage isn't English, so i'm sorry if i make a mistake at writing this, and i'm sorry if this has Spelling mistakes or if the pronunciation is wrong, with that said, enjoy

Alright... So... Before i start with this, I just wanted to give Credit to @shifterandswiftie on Tiktok, thanks for the na'vi clan name, I was having a hard time finding a name for my Na'vi Oc's clan i decide to name it that way, I was also having some trouble with some ideas for my clan, so all of this is thanks to them, so... With that said, I'm going to start explaining my fanmade clan where my Na'vi oc; Ta'ra, belongs in;

So, the Teyreyma clan, a clan located in the high up of the Iknimaya mountains, here's an example of how would their households look like;

Their ancestors come from the ash clan, as it is said, the next kind of na'vi we will see in Avatar 3, are the fire na'vis, some people are Speculating that the skin of the ash na'vis will be white. So, following that teory, the Teyreyma people come from the ash clan, who are very aggresive and in danger from being finded by the RDA, so some of them emigrated to the mountains so They could avoid the RDA attacks and battles/conflicts.

The apperience of the Teyrema na'vis is basically like the Omatikaya people, the only diference is that their tails are longer, their ears are pointer and that They're albinos, well.... Not really albinos, white... Yeah, Let's you say white.

Since they're childs, the Teyreyma na'vi are made to climb, since they're babies, even before their born, their genes make their hands and feet stronger than a forest na'vi.

The usual name for what they're call is "Seraphites" (Tlou2 reference because of the bridges and the high vigilance places)

Their main way of transporting themself are with the ikrans, also, some of them, the ones that couldn't bond with an ikran, use the direhorses.

funfact, because of their hermit way of living, They call the forest clans, the ones that are on the ground (Like the Omatikaya, the Tayrangi, the Olangi, etc) "The undergrounds".

Their soul tree looks like this, their soul tree is attached to the cealing, while their roots are attached to the wall besides it, and some of them are long enough for them to get attached to the floor;

A few traditions of their clan;

When a na'vi get to a certain age, which is 16-17-18, They have to do a ritual of inication to become hunters and warriors for the clan, the inication ritual consist on a race around the iknamaya mountains, The first one on finishing the race, becomed the new hunter of the clan. (bassed on the idea from @shifterandswiftie and Horizon Zero dawn)

Before the race, They do a small festival (Like the dream hunt festival) where they give tribute to Eywa for all the new children and future hunters of the clan.

When a warrior of the clan passes away, that's the only reason the na'vis of this clan go down to the forest clans, to do a funeral for the deceased, more close to Eywa.

During the cold weathers, the na'vis use this for their advance for to hunt on the "undergrounds", taking advance that thanks to their white skin among the fog, their Camouflage is better then when it's sunny.

“Did you achieve your goals for April?” Somehow I did? I did the bootcamp, I worked on some of my own projects towards the end and I completed the work-project! Didn’t get to finish SheCodes assignments but overall I did well!

what inspired you to take on this muse: pretty sure i was going through an fma phase in 2017, made him for twitter rp (his original name was derek and im pretty sure it was a different fc) and he kind of fell off bc he wasnt the kind of character for twitter. i remade him last year with a new fc, new name, and i'm still totally in love with him. fma is a fav show, fav manga, so this is just wonderful. what are your favorite aspects of your current muse: teef - he's also full of tenacity and i love it. never gives up, but he will stop doing something if he recognizes it's out of his skillset/ability. he won't kill himself over trying to do something. what’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: i listen to this nonsensical 'latin' album called adiemus by karl jenkins. it feels like fantasy battle music and it's the best thing ever. favorite types of threads : i tend to love writing out more angsty/violent stuff but i adore softness. growing strong bonds and just overwhelming sweet moments. biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: the two faceclaims honestly. i have to go through a webtoon and screenshot myself and then transfer to my laptop to make icons. it's really... annoying.

Anon songs: Good F**king Music - Solence, Face to Face - Citizen Soldier, Mammamia/Wanna Be Your Slave - Maneskin, Adiemus - Karl Jenkins. I probably have more that make me think of you/your blog/your writing that I can send when they come up in my playlists.

Good F**king Music by Solence I'd never heard before and what a damn pint of fun this song is! Legit I use music like they describe all the time. Throw some metal on, scream along to some good cathartic lyrics, fuck around dancing in the apartment. That's a mood!

I make a point to distance myself as far as I can from christian bands so I'll skip on Citizen Soldier.

I ADORE Måneskin, I have such a soft spot for them. These guys are brigning back rock and roll to the mainstream in a way we haven't really seen in over a decade, and they're doing with all the gen X flair you could want. They unapologetically shove feminism in people's faces, openly are in the LGBTQ+ community or show direct support for us even when it puts them in danger, they lean mad into angrogyny and gender fuckery and I'm so fucking here for it, and! They do all of that not as a sensation and a shock factor to compensate for mediocre music, but as the backdrop to STELLAR music. I believe in this project so much and I want them to conquer the world. I love Mammamia! and IWBYS a lot, you wouldn't believe the number of repeats their first two albums got and how much fun I've had in the past three years or so since I came across them singing all their songs to the top of my lungs while doing dishes and feeling like hot shit XD I tend to prefer their songs in Italian, I wish they'd do more, and I have yet to catch up on RUSH, tho I will listen to it soon. 10/10 vibe with Måneskin honestly, I'm FLATTERED AS HELL they remind you of me cause they're awesome!

Adiemus by Karl Jenkins is something I didn't expect to receive as an association. It's a beautiful piece! May I ask what it is about this song that makes you think of with my blog or me or my writing? I'm so curious :D
