I feel like Yumehara is supposed to be overlooked by boys because she's next to Teruhashi, not because she's actually ugly. But I like the idea that she's just not conventionally attractive. When it comes to female characters, lots of media make it seem like they have to be attractive in order to be liked by the audience. They don't have to be sexy and drop dead gorgeous for me to love them. This is my ugly Yumehara agenda. I love her let her be unattractive.

Will be quite honest I went in expecting that A.B.A.'s story mode would be a tired rehash of the same 'haha this obsessive woman is dragging around a guy who's clearly uncomfortable isn't that funny even though if the genders were reversed everyone would immediately recognize it as creepy' plot ala Johnny's with May based on the snippet I'd seen but color me surprised these bitches are actually working their shit out. this afternoon i was reading a book called, hilariously enough, The Genius of Birds by Jennifer Ackerman. there's a part in it about about how performing a song well releases pleasure-inducing hormones in the brains of certain songbirds, and that those birds may sometimes use their songs to ease physical discomfort.

so now i have a new headcanon that berdly likes to sing and sing to himself sometimes! i can totally imagine him humming his own motif or something, what a dork.

Desmond being a giant softie and using pet names in languages he doesn’t even speak. Mon ami, corazón, mi caro, Habibi, etc.

The others don’t understand them a lot of the time cause they don’t speak the language either but they find it adorable how soft he goes.

How his eyes squint with a smile that turns his whole face soft and open. How the word is almost always said softer than the rest of them, as if he can’t help but savour being able to say it to them.
