The library doors have not closed again, the Librarian has been going through some really rough personal things starting from early February and then has been navigating the strangeness of social distancing while working the tourist industry. However they will have plenty of time now while they remain confined within the stone walls of the library.

11 questions tag
I was tagged by the lovely @bookcub, thank you!!
RULES: Answer the 11 questions asked and create 11 more questions.
What’s your favorite place to read? on the go! (that usually means on trains/trams/subways or walking)
Favorite fictional setting? I’m not sure... I’ll pick Night Vale for now
Have you ever wanted to hurt a book?  I don’t think I’ve ever anthropomorphized a book that way, haha :D
Have you ever thrown a book out of frustration? Nope.
Have you ever sent fan mail to an author?  only if you count comments on fanfiction
What’s your favorite Shakespeare play?  ooooh, tough one! Either Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, or Hamlet :P
What do you hate seeing on a cover?  STICKERS
Go to page 42 of the book nearest you and write down the first ful sentence.  ‘Miserable Man!’ (Moby Dick)
Have you ever been a part of a book club?  yes! three IRL with friends (though only one really works) and one on goodreads
When did you start your booklr?  halfway through 2015 I think....
Favorite familial relationship?  in my family or in fiction? for me: probably my relationship with my dad; in books: siblings!
Since I am currently very much stressed because of exams and thesis stuff, I’m not going to think of 11 new questions, sorry!
But I’d love if you would answer bookcub’s questions, too! And because I really like getting to know some of you, I’m tagging my newest followers: @polarexpressions, @natashasnook, @incessant-soul, @adragonslibrary, @your-miruna, @itsgalaxy1738 :)

There were temples, their doors wide open, filling the streets with the sounds of gongs, cymbals and, in the case of some of the more conservative fundamentalist religions, the brief screams of the victims.

Moving has been a curse and a blessing. I’ve had beautiful opportunities to shoot some pictures, but I’ve also been too caught up in everything to post a lot. Here’s some shoots of my books gradually piling up in the new room. This is maybe about half, but I had to rearrange things so I won’t be able to continue with the gradual shots unfortunately.
In other news, I’m horribly behind on my reading goals for this year, and I might just accept that at this point, and turn my sight to the new year.

You’ve come here to gather up a life. But you know what you’re gathering? Words. No--more like air, my friend--words are sounds composed of air. Air. You’re gathering air.

In a very emotional week, I set aside my book on Poe to read all of Scott Pilgrim and Seconds, all by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Scott Pilgrim was recommended by someone I recently started seeing (recommendations: 2/2 so far, good sign!) and my roommate happened to have this beauty.
Definitely the perfect things to take me out of my funk for awhile.

Currently reading! I started this ages ago, but never finished it despite loving it. My sibling found their name in this book. It has a lot of meaning to them, and I can’t wait to be able to share that with him.
