Miraculous Ladybug Fanfiction

I've started a writing a new Miraculous ladybug fic!!! You can find it on Wattpad, and expect it to be up on AO3 by the end of this week. It's a Cat Noir x OC fic, where the main character has been transported to the world of Miraculous!

Is there such a thing as sleeping beautifully? Maybe she herself is the proof—contorted into askew positions under the blankets, drool hanging over her chapped bottom lip as she grumbles in her sleep like a bear. It was hard to get himself to fall asleep again, knowing what nightmares would often greet him as he passed through Hypnos's doorstep... but if sleep could happen in halves or quarters, it was done best while looking at the woman he loved.

Claudia burrowed her cheek further into the silk pillowcase, stirring for a moment. Her hair was a bramble of waves and loose ringlets—it had been washed and braided earlier on in the day, and now, in the cloak of evening, had wrestled itself free from its ties. Adrien took a lock between his fingers—a raw umber in the evening now bleeding into ink at night.

Looking into her eyes, closed as they were, Adrien brought the lock of hair to his face. Beneath the perfume of eucalyptus and pine, there still lingered the usual traces of her, which themselves alluded proper words. Perhaps Adrien simply wasn't as well read as he thought himself to be, and somewhere out there was a line or a phrase that captured what he wished to say quite perfectly. Perhaps one day he would come across the right thing to call Claudia: 'beautiful' didn't cut it, nor did 'stunning' or 'gorgeous' or 'ravishing'... All placations at best for his stirring heart, but each and every word fell short. How else could Adrien explain her reactions? When the right word fell off his lips, Claudia would know his affections to be true. Truer than every fact, more pious than any church, and with more conviction than every soldier in every war ever fought. She'd have to know then.

Adrien sighed, twisting the curl between his fingers, letting the frays at the end brush past his lips. His lover began to stir once more, and any sane man would think to let the lock fall from his hand and feign innocence. But Adrien was the farthest from sane, farthest from innocent, and so he just watched with half-lidded eyes in a reverent awe. Rather than discard the curl, Adrien placed a chaste kiss upon it. ...And did the first thing that came to his weary, addled mind.

"♪ C'est une chanson qui nous ressemble

He kept his voice low—Adrien had never been a singer. Perhaps it was a gift that he wasn't, for surely it would be taken advantage of otherwise. He'd be forced by his parents into further lessons, further exploitation. And, most of all... he wouldn't be able to say he saved his voice for moments such as these.

"♪ Nous vivions tous les deux ensemble

...Toi qui m'aimais, moi qui t'aimais ♪ "

And she was beautiful, truly: Something worth singing for. But more than beautiful, she was warm and real and the times his lips met hers were the only times his face felt of flesh, too, and not painted porcelain. Cold, smooth, unfeeling ceramic melting into nerves and veins and muscle beneath skin. —But he would not dare kiss her while she slept, of course, so planting another token of affection on that lock of hair would suffice.

He was pulled into an embrace before he could realize it, and it seemed that they both exhaled in tandem—long and tired, letting both their shoulders sink into the hug.

"'Des amants'," she muttered back to him, her voice groggy and crackling. Claudia wrapped her arms around Adrien silently, her fingers drumming on his shoulder blades once they reached a place to rest. "You suck at pretending to sleep."

Edalyn Clawthorne x OC (Sairi, who’s character sheet is on my Wattpad), she’s had an on and off crush on Eda since high school (and they’ve been best friends ever since) and they finally get together during the plot of the show

This blog isn't dedicated to any particular fandom, so don't be fooled by whatever my blog's current theme is. I post what I like. My main criterion to determine whether or not I post a fic here is whether or not I want to reread a fic someday. I'm a simple woman. (This blog is basically my library.)

Most of the fanfictions here are female reader or OC inserts. It's quite rare for me to post character/character fics because it's also rare for me to read character/character fics. Also, most, if not all, ships are straight. If they're supposed to be a gay ship, one of them is probably genderbent. Sorry. If that's not your cup of tea, you're free to click/tap away. 20 Questions for Fic Writers

The "original" Fic Writers Ask thread (that izanae started) was getting lengthy (by nature of the game), and I was about to double its size (by nature of my writing style). But please go and check that thread out to see how other wriblrs answered. You might find a new favorite that way!

Alright, let's get to it.

1. How many works do you have on ao3?

49 (really? It feels like I have so many more...) You can also find me over on FFN and DA still, and I do post my stories here too... just... FYI.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

357,107* *I feel like I should clarify that the 49 stories and 357k words is since I started publishing fanfic in 2010. I feel like this doesn't seem all that impressive now... (also... holy hecken! I've been publishing fanfic for 13 years!?)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mostly Miraculous Ladybug (31), but I originated in the "Hey, Arnold!" fandom (7*). I've also written for Fruits Basket (4). I have a couple of D&D fanfics - 1 each for 2 of my D&D characters, and I have written one story each for the following fandoms: - Left 4 Dead/Jonathan Coulton's song "Re: Your Brains" - Graceling Realm series by Kristin Cashore (specifically, the novel Bitterblue) [Rated: Explicit] - Ender Series by Orson Scott Card (specifically, the novel Speaker for the Dead) - Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (the LoZ franchise is one of my main fandoms... I'm shocked I haven't written more for it...) [Told in 1st person] - An all-OCs fic set in the X-Men: Evolution universe *I have more HA fics over on FFN that I didn't port over because they aren't completed works.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Woven Heartstrings Summary: Chat Noir needs a Christmas gift for Ladybug. Marinette is a very crafty and creative person, so Chat Noir asks her for some help in making a gift for his lady. While hesitant in aiding Chat Noir's attempts to woo her superhero self, Marinette reluctantly agrees. Although, after a week of working side-by-side with Marinette, Chat Noir's not so sure he wants to gift the scarf he's making to Ladybug after all. Could Your Paradise Also Be Your Hell? Summary: Marinette is not coping very well when she's magically transported into her older-self's body, and discovers she's now married to Adrien Agreste. [Unofficial companion piece to Remember That Time When... by @mostlovedgirl-writes ] Peeping Tomcat Summary: Something called to Adrien, and before he knew it, he was addicted to sitting outside Marinette's window as Chat Noir; just watching her. His voyeuristic habit needs to stop, but things have gotten far too complicated now that he realizes he's growing a crush on her. [Story told in 1st person; non-sexual voyeurism] I Was Thinking of You Summary: Girls' Day derails when Marinette realizes the male lead of a romance movie reminds her of someone other than Adrien. [Lukanette story] Is it True? Summary: Marinette instantly regrets confessing her feelings for Adrien. He decides it might be time for a confession of his own.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Always. I may run out of spoons and miss a comment for a little while, but I make a point of going back and still replying eventually. Even if it's months later. EDIT: I neglected to copy/paste the whole question originally. So, here's the answer to the why/why not question. I make sure to respond to all comments because people put in the effort to read my story and then tell me how they felt about it. I NEED to send the love right back to them. I need them to know that their words matter and warmed my heart. (That said, even if you don't leave a review, I do love you, Reader)

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Despite my friends teasing that I'm "the queen of angst", I actually don't have too many stories that don't end on a hopeful note. So, if we're going "pure angst ending" I only have two: Unsent Letter for the Fruits Basket fandom and True Husband for Speaker for the Dead (Enderverse). Both are shorter stories of people believing they are unworthy of love, pity those who do love them, and believe they have sinned and are deserving of being miserable. If you want to stick within the Miraculous fandom, I'd say I'm Not Allowed to Love You [contains s4 finale spoilers]. That was angsty enough that I had to end on a hopeful note via an epilogue that I added to the closing author's notes.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh goodness! As mentioned, I try to end just about all of my stories on a high note. I was able to narrow the 49 stories down to 8 with a fluffy, happy ending. Out of those 8? I think Woven Heartstrings has the most optimistic, love-filled ending? Everybody is just showing their love and appreciation for everyone else (even Adrien and Gabriel... written pre-Chat Blanc, I believe???). It's just a lovefest story. 8. Do you get hate on fics?

I have been so so SO lucky that I have not. My heart goes out to you writers who do. :'(

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have written smut 3x (working on a 4th). I published 1. I am cishet, so I am vanilla and write cishet. Smut is also a rare genre of writing for me to venture into. So rare that my current "smut" story is more "plot with eventual porn" than it is "porn with(out) plot". The sex is a significant character development moment in 3 out of the 4 stories I wrote. The 4th was more of a character study for a pair of OCs. No shade on the "porn without plot" folks. Those stories are so fun and indulgent and I appreciate them so much. My brain just won't let me pare down to that style no matter how much I try. It's like "Nope. Must have character growth. Throw emotions into this mess!"

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one?

I think I've only attempted to write a crossover once... and it was not a very successful result. It was Arnold Shortman and Helga Pataki from "Hey, Arnold!" in the world of Familiar of Zero. Helga was Louise and Arnold was her familiar Saito.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Uh... I don't think so???

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not to my knowledge (although I'd be down if someone wanted to translate any of my works). That said, Woven Heartstrings does have the only non-English review I've received (it's in French). So.... maybe someone translated it into French without letting me know??? I just assumed the reader knew enough English to understand what I wrote or otherwise used a translating service....

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Three different times. One was partially published. Prior to the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie officially being made, @chibisunnie and I attempted to write up a fanscript (is that how we met? I can't recall....). My friend Ronoxym and I have also attempted to write two different X-Men OC stories centered around his OC Devon. Although, in both cases, it was more he wrote the story and then I kind of unintentionally hijacked it???? The incomplete co-written fic that I actually attempted to publish* was one of the two I wrote with Rono: Please, Let Me Explain. *not published on AO3; on FFN and DA only

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

That I've written for? Love Square. Specifically anything where Marinette is herself instead of Ladybug: MariChat or Adrienette. They just remind me so much of myself and my husband. Fave in general? My OTP of OTPs is probably Gambit and Rogue from X-Men. I tend to refer to my husband as Gambit to my Rogue. (Are you sensing a theme as per my relationship vs my shipping tendencies?)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

My poor unintentionally abandoned "Hey, Arnold!" epic What is Truly Meant to Be. It is on FFN and DA only.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I am frequently told that I keep the characters and world so in-character/canon-accurate that my stories read like "lost episodes" of a show. I'm also fairly good at dialogue and conveying emotions.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

- Naming things. Titles. Naming a McGuffin. Coming up with superhero/villain names. etc. - Anything with a LOT of action in it. Be that fight scenes, chase scenes, or sex scenes. I'm someone who can picture things in my head as clear as if I were watching a movie, and I try to convey what I'm seeing to the reader as if I were writing visual media such as a show/movie or comic. This usually leads me to micromanage the movement of the characters and the action ends up feeling clunky and repetitive. - Allowing the characters to get physically hurt in a way that professional medical treatment is needed. Broken limb? Stab wound? Concussion? Injured eye? Poisoned? Nope. Can't do it. Mental block tells me "no". - Write short, sweet, concise stories/drabbles/ficlets (can't you tell?)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Huh. With the exception of proper nouns (such as Chat Noir), I'm not sure if I've used non-English words that aren't just borrowed words within English or words most English speakers would know anyway (such as enchanté, cómo estás, or dōmo arigatō). I know I italicize thoughts, so I don't know if I'd italicize a non-English word to signal that it's a foreign word??? I'd assume the readers would know that already. I think, if I were to ever use a foreign word within dialogue it would have to depend on the circumstance. If the foreign word or phrase is important for the POV character to learn, I may include it along with a translation. Otherwise, I may just state that the characters are speaking in this other language and then write it in English so my readers have a better chance at understanding what is being said. Also, I am far from multilingual, so that would help me avoid translation errors.

19. What’s the first fandom you wrote for?

Technically, I think it would be X-Men???? I think I came up with X-Men OCs and storylines for those OCs back when I was in, like, 5th grade????? Then I did some Batman fanfics in middle and early high school. Mostly solo roleplay/dressup in my basement because I was that nerd still playing pretend by myself when I was 16. First fandom I published a fic for? If you don't count play-by-post RPGs*, then my first published-online fanfic fandom was "Hey, Arnold!" *the play-by-post game was for Batman.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Summary: Anais Dupen-Cheng is the older sister of Marinette but due to her sickness, her schooling was delayed for one year. She accidentally bumps into Adrien and he soon develops a crush on her by the first day of school. Anais eventually gets the Ladybug Miraculous and becomes Ladybug. She develops a crush on her partner, Chat Noir.

"Nono! This is a misunderstanding," Anais heard a familiar voice exclaim as she got inside.

"Hey, what's going on?" Anais asked as she noticed Adrien having his hands up while Mari glares at him. "Him, Chloé, and Sabrina placed gum on my chair!" Her little sister exclaimed. "Well, that's not the worst thing they could do," Anais commented as she removed the gum easily but there is some residue still stuck on the chair. She threw the gum with the tissue on it.

Adrien sat on Anais' chair and she looked at him with a smile. "So you ARE supposed to be in my class," Anais pointed out as he jumped at her sudden voice to him. "Oh, y-yeah. I didn't think you would be in here too, Anais," he pointed out with a smile. "Wait, you two know each other?" Chloé asked with a disgusted look.

"Yeah. Why do you have that look?" He asked as both of them looked at her. "Nothing, Adrikins!" Chloé smiled fakely. "Anyway," Ana looked at Adrien. "Don't worry about my sister. She'll forgive you eventually," she smiled. 

"Well, Adrien. Welcome to Collège Françoise Dupont! I hope we become closer as friends," Anais grinned as she got up to sit with Nathaniel Kurtzberg, whose desk was a desk behind Chloé's table.

"Wait, Anny, he's sitting on your seat," Mari tried to pull her back to the front. "Nah, it's alright. It's just the second day of school; the seats aren't permanent yet," Anais brushes her off as she sat on a desk with Nathaniel. She waved at him and he shyly waved back.

"Dude, you're lucky Anais' patience is saint-like," Nino commented then he looked at Adrien.

"How do you know Anais? She said that you guys met yesterday?" Nino asked. "Well, I was supposed to come here to school yesterday and we just so happened to bump into each other," Adrien explained as he had flushed cheeks.

"Ohh. I see how it is. I totally see it," Nino raised an eyebrow at Adrien and Adrien blushed more. "Come on. We just met. And I guess you could say that we're friends," Adrien glanced over at Anais to see that she was having a chat with Nathaniel. He frowned upon seeing the two. "I'm just saying," Nino chuckled as Mylène got inside the classroom at the same time as Ms. Bustier.

Random nanowrimo daminette fic

A/n: this is my random pitch to nanowrimo. And it also includes the adventures of ruby culpa so ye ye. Uhhhh enjoy!

Dupont decided to hold a fashion for all school in the area to participate. A certain class sat around an Italian girl with sausage looking hair, who was the center of attention.

"I would love to join the school event, but my arm hurts really bad from pulling a lot of boxes for charity with Prince Ali. The most I can do is take notes." Lila says sheepishly, looking at her classmates.

"No worries, girl! At least can you watch with us?" Alya says excitedly, leaning forward to her best friend. Lila smiled, her eyes narrowing a little.

"Of course! We can can meet up before the viewing starts."

With that the rest of the class talked, mostly hearing what Lila had to say about something. Adrian ignored his class, focusing on the person he was texting instead.

The night of the event, Dupont was crowded. Lila and her possy lingered around, commenting in each outfit shown.

There was one display that had a cover over it, with the initials on the sign of MDC. No one in Mme. Bustier's class knew why the name sounded familiar, and Lila took advantage of the mystery designer. All she knew MDC was a famous aspiring designer working for Jagged Stone.

"MDC is such a darling," she starts, grabbing their attention. "He's in love with me, but I'm with Damian Wayne. But I gave him the design for tonight's event!" She says, looking at everyone's excited face. Alya frowns a bit, unsure why the name sounded so familiar.

Lila looks to Adrian, only to see him waiting by the front doors. She scowls, even after 3 years, he doesn't fall into her web.

Just as she's about to spin another lie, people begin to crowd around the doors at the front.

The class was curious to the gathering. Lila heads first, managing to squeeze through and nearly shrieked at what she saw.

Adrian was smiling cheekily at a very familiar person, holding her hand after placing a kiss on it. Next to her, a very handsome young man, glaring playfully at Adrian. The infamous Kagami stood next to them, smiling at them as juleka's older brother held her.

The familiar blue eyes shined brightly, causing Lila to sneer.

"How's the lovely couple doing? Am I going to be the best man at your wedding?"

"You wish, Agreste. You'll have to beat my brothers." The black haired man said. Lila was vaguely aware that the class finally pushed their way to the front. Chloe was among them, holding an unknown blonde in her arms.

"Guys come on. As much as I want to talk about when the wedding is, we have to get our grade for this first." Marinette was different, confident, not the clumsy girl that Lila bullied. A group was gathered. Much larger than Lila's as people took pictures of them.

"Is that--?"

"Oh my God it is!"

"Chloe?!" Various reactions were given to the group. The main ones were aimed at Marinette. Alya stared as her former friend laughed lightly, going over to where the MDC display was.

"Marinette, what are you doing?" Lila says, and the group freezes upon hearing her voice. She tries to look innocent, but got a bit unnerved at everyone's gaze on her.

Alya watches as Marinette's face lost all emotion, as did everyone else, including Adrian. She noticed Adrian look actually a little angry at Lila.

"I'm competing. It is a fashion event. This is also a grade for me to graduate." Marinette replied, and Alya flinched . Her voice held nothing. There was no warmth in her eyes. She looked at her best friend, and saw anger, of what, she didn't know.

"I meant what are you doing near my friend's display. MDC worked so hard and you're going to claim his work?" Lila supplies, everyone's eyes on them. There's tension growing, students from other school's looking between the students of Dupont and the students of the private school of arts.

The unknown blonde in Chloe's arms cracks first, covering her mouth to laugh, only to fail when Chloe joined in as well. Marinette and the others looked at them in amusement, as Lila and her group stared offended.

"Oh man. Last time I heard something this ridiculous was when I told uncle Gabriel I was bisexual." The blonde said, and Chloe laughed harder, this time Adrian joining.

"Father's look when that happened was the best. Rubes you really went for it. " Adrian states happily and his classmates look at him like he grew a second head.

"Chloe??" Everyone turned to the the meek voice of Sabrina, who was staring at the two blonde's. Lila stared Marinette, angry that she wasn't getting the attention.

"Who is this?"

"Really, Sabrina? I've gossiped and ranted about this girl since we were younger and you're basically telling you pretended to listen to me?" Chloe states, glaring at the orange haired girl, who flinched severely.

"Love, relax. Remember we're here for marinette and that grade. But mostly Marinette." The blonde says calmly, and Chloe visibly relaxes under her voice.

"Of course, my rose."

"Ok, what is going on?!" Alya yells out. Everyone turns to her, and Lila is somewhat grateful for her 'best friend'. "Marinette, they said you were expelled after bullying Lila, with no chance of rejoining any school." At the words, students looked to see Marinette stare unimpressed at her former friend.

"Honestly Alya, this shows you aren't the reporter I thought you were." Everyone turned to Adrian who had said that, his eyes an unusual cold green. Marinette just sighed and pulled the cover back.

The crowd gasped at the hero themed dress. It wasn't a Ladybug OR Chat Noir theme, but a Robin themed dress. One of the heroes of Gotham.

"MDC did so well with my des--"

"Say one more word about my fiance like you know her, I will personally see to it that you lose everything. " Damian spoke dangerously low, glaring at Lila as she paled drastically.

"I-I don't know--"

"Who do you think you are?!" Alya spoke up, standing between Lila and the group. The look on the man's face grew colder.

"Be glad I am not sueing you for using my name. Not yet anyways."

"Name? What name? Lila isn't lying!" Alya insisted.

"Damian, love, just forget it. We're here for the grade, not drama." Lila pales considerably at the the name.

"Damian?? As in the Damian Wayne!?" Alix spoke up, looking at all of them. The short girl turned to Marinette, showing nothing but excitement and shock. "You're engaged to Damian freaking Wayne!!"

Everyone whispers amongst themselves, Lila's group slowly paling at the realization. "MDC... m-marinette was the one who made Jagged's glasses." Mylene said softly, holding herself.

Alya stares at the dress intensely, as if trying to find something. Which she was, because Lila had to be telling the truth. Her best friend wouldn't lie about Damian and knowing MDC. But what--

Around the collar of the dress, a gold pattern sewed on. Normally, it looks like a beautifully crafted design that contrasts well with the colors of the dress. Alya titled her head a little and gasped, dread and horror creeping in her stomach.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

"Marinette, I'm so glad you've joined us today." Principal Damocles stated, walking through the group of students. You could see how nervous he was to see the former student, and miserably tried to hide his shame. After all, Marinette was one of the brightest students in the school and they wrongly accused her.

"I'm here for my grade. Nothing else."

"O-of course. Mlle. Bourgeois, I believe that your mother is a judge, correct?" He turned his attention to the blonde, flinching a little at her stare.

Lila looked around and saw her possy pale considerably at something on the dress when Alya pointed out to them. It was bad enough damian Wayne was here, but now something bout the dress? How she prayed hawkmoth was still active.

The italian felt eyes on her and turned to see the unnamed blonde, staring at right her. "You know, when my brother told me some girl had tried to ruin marigold's life by lying, I thought she would at least be pretty."

"Mlle. Culpa!" Damocles yelled, Lila practically seeing red as Chloe laughed and the lied group stared in horror.

"Can it, Damocles. The girl can Express how she feels, especially if it involves this cheaply dressed model." Everyone turned and saw Chloe's mother-- fashion queen Audrey-- walk up as the sea of students parted like the red sea.

She looked at the dress and inspected it, writing down things on a paper she had. It only took a few more minutes before she turned to Marinette. "Well Mari dear, you surpass my expectations as always. Your grade will be given to your school. Chloe and chloe's rose, I want you both tomorrow with this childs information." And with she walked off, leaving the gaping class.

"Culpa? As in Felix Culpa? Adrian's cousin?" Rose stepped forward, staring excitedly at the couple. "You helped prince Ali with one of his many children's hospital!"

"C-children hosptial?" Lila didn't know that. Especially the fact that Felix Culpa's little sister was apart of it.

"Oh, Lila. I thought you had some little random boy toy to pretend was in love with you. Like my brother, my cousin, Damian-- oh wait, they never talked to you." Ruby glared at the Italian, smiling viciously at her.

Slowly, Alya turned to Lila, seeing her trying to struggle to come up with another lie. "Let's not forget how you've willingly worked with a powered terrorist, and use that to try and murder Jagged Stone's honorary niece."

Gasps were heard when Ruby said that out loud. Everyone could see Lila turn sickly green as she began to back away.

"You lied about everything!" Alya snapped first, followed by everyone else. Marinette just stared, shaking her head before turning and walking out with her friends in tow.

"Its over, angel. Its over." Damian whispers to her, holding her close when they were outside. After years of the torment of Lila, and the threat of Hawkmoth as well, it was all over.

Finally. Paris is safe.

A/N: Thank you all so much for the support of my last fiction of Bakugou x Reader. It really helps me to keep writing. This fic was requested by @hanaotaku95. It’s a platonic relationship of a OC named Irene and her brother Adrien Agreste(From Miraculous LadyBug). In Irene's point of view, Adrien is distressed about “a” dream he had with Chat Blanc and his sister Irene comforts him. Anyways enough of me talking, let's get onto the fic!

3:06 AM - Irene’s Room

Beep! Beep! Beep! Three notification text tones awoke me from my slumber. Still dazed, I unplugged my phone from the charge outlet.

“What was that sound?” My kwami Rexx asked. “It’s only my phone Rexx, don’t worry.” With that being said, I opened my phone to look at the notifications.

Damn, I didn’t remember having my screen so bright. But it’s whatever. The three messages were from my brother: Adrien Agreste.

“Hi Irene.” The first message said. “Can you come into my room please? I need to talk to you.”, “Also, bring your sketchbook as well.”

I felt my heart sink as I read those three messages. Adrien? Wanting to talk to me? Like in a serious way? He usually keeps to himself, it’s rare for him to genuinely talk to anyone in the household let alone me!

“Adrien texted you Irene?” Rexx hopped off from their mat and hovered around my phone. “Yeah. The issue is that he rarely ever talks to the family! Is he brain dead or something?” Ok, that last line was a joke.

"Well if he's texting you r now, then it must be very urgent." Rexx advised.

3:31 AM - Adrien's Room

I slowly opened the door to Adrien’s room. It was one of the rare times I was able to actually enter inside. His lamp on his desk was on for my eyes to explore every aspect inside the bedroom.

I didn’t expect it to be this messy. Father and Nathalie always remind him to keep his room clean. I turned around to see Adrien in his bed with a dejected look plastered on his face.

His eyes were moist and swollen, and his cheeks were red like a strawberries. Wait. had he been crying?

“Adrien?” I asked him, walking closer to his bed. “What happened? Why are you crying?”

He didn’t answer me. Of course he didn’t. I sat on the bed right next to him.

“I had a nightmare..” Adrien spoke quietly. “About a villain..” He didn’t look up at me, he’s probably embarrassed talking about this. I wouldn’t blame to be honest.

“What villain Adrien?” I asked him. He paused for a moment, then let out a trembling sigh. “He looked like Chat Noir, but he was all white.” “like a white cat[Chat Blanc = a white cat in French]?” “Mhm.”

An idea emerged from my head, and I immediately whipped out my sketch book.

3:45 AM - Adrien’s Room

After delineating the idea of this “opposite Chat Noir”, I rested my pencil on the lamp desk. “Does he look like this?” I showed Adrien the drawing of the villain cat, and Adrien nodded in response. “Yes. he looked exactly like the way I imagined him”

“Why were you having a nightmare about him?” Adrien went quiet again. I could see his visibily fidgeting with his blanket as if he didn’t want to talk about him. “He.. had the same obsession as I did.”

I think I know what Adrien was talking about. “Is it about your crush on LadyBug?” Adrien then darted his eyes on me as I stared at him blankly. “ You knew about that?” he asked me in shock. “Well yeah, your whole class knows about your crush on LadyBug.” Wait, was I not supposed to say that? My poor brother sighed out of embarrassment. “Well..I feel like, Chat Blanc and I.. are the same.” I didn’t know what he meant by that, but I kept silent. I could hear his voice break each time he spoke.

“In my dream, he called me terrible names, of how I was selfish and will never be loved by anyone. And I believed him. I believed every word that he said to me.” I chewed the inside of my lip. How could a teenage boy go through this?

“I’m selfish. I’m greedy for love. I’m desperate. I’m worthless. I’m-”

“Shut up.”

“What?”

“I said to shut up.”

I held both of Adrien’s piercing hands. His eyes avoided mine. “Please, look at me brother.” Once again, he slowly looked up at me. “You are nothing like that stupid cat. Ok? You are not Chat Blanc.” He tried to open his lips to disagree. But I didn't let him go. I wasn’t gonna let MY twin brother talk shit about himself. “I am your twin Adrien. And as far as I know, you are the kindest, sweetest, and most respectful man I have ever met in my life.” Adrien kept quiet, but I kept on going. At this point I was spilling out every single reason why I loved him. I didn’t even care if the whole world knew.

“The world is so blessed to have you Adrien..So please..” I begged, softening my demeanor. “Please don’t ever say those harsh words to yourself.” I embrace my body and flatten him. Seconds laters, I heard soft weeping. I guessed he wasn’t used to me being all soft.

“Thank you,” he sobbed. “Thank you so much for having faith in me.” I laughed, placing his hands on his shoulder. “I’m your twin silly! Of course I’m supposed to have faith in you.”

He laughed in response. “I guess you’re right. Well, thank you for talking to me Irene. Good night my sister.” I smiled at him. "Good night Adrien."

4:03 AM - Irene’s Room

Me and Adrien rarely talked to each other. But for some reason, that conversation made our relationship closer as some would say. “ You have a very big heart.” Rexx chirped, laying their small body in front of me. “Well not, really. I just do what’s right for the people I care for.”

“But that’s exactly what it means! Trust me Irene. One day, you’ll be an amazing superhero some day!”

I chuckled at Rexxs' response. An amazing hero huh? Welp, we’ll see in the future.

Anyways. I have no time to think more, I have that stupid dance recital in the morning. And so, I nestled closer to my bed as I drifted off to sleep once more.

LB Gets Woke: A Bullet-Point Crack Fic

I told @luciemiddleford​ how I would really like there to be a rival for Chat Noir’s affections in upcoming seasons.  Not like another superhero or akuma, but a normal civilian who notices how freaking awesome this cat is and makes Ladybug have to work for Chat’s affections.  Her reaction was something along the lines of “oh HELL yes” and she planted ideas in my brain, guys.  IDEAS.

I’m not a fanfic writer.  Brytte is, but she refused to turn her ideas into a fic.  Half of the blame for this goes to her.  Maybe 75%....no, no.  68.2%.

Seeing as how this glorious honor has been entrusted to me, you can guess where this is going.  Y’all should know my M O by now.

but an “omg you’re an amazing person, do you wanna go on dates and shyly hold hands and yeah, I’ll acknowledge you’re kinda hot but I’m more attracted to the person you are underneath the costume--no, not that way you perv >_<” type of teenage crush

coupled with an “omg you’re a superhero and so brave and kind and you totally ROCK that leather cat suit but I’m attracted to your magnetic personality and the selfless way you save people and stuff” type of superhero crush

at first, Chat’s kinda flustered by this and insists his heart belongs to Ladybug

but he keeps running into Marie after battles and she treats him to McCafe to help him unwind

After a few “dates”, he wonders if he should give his heart another chance

he still loves his Lady, but she doesn’t seem all that interested 

Chat casually brings up Adrien Agreste (there’s a billboard right outside McD’s) to gage her opinion of his civilian self

now he just runs off regardless

1. 36. Prisoner Oh-Three-Eight (Where Have All The Heroes Gone And Where Are All The Gods?)

“Putting aside for the moment,” Eight interrupted, trying to keep her voice down, “that you think getting over the fence faster than the guards can catch you will be easy, why? You just got out of a week of solitary! Can’t you keep your goddamn head down for a second? Besides, what’s the point? You’re just as much of a prisoner on this side of the fence as that one, trust me.”

“The point,” Six said, “is they stole everything from us. Everything. Our memories, our freedom, our lives. And we’re probably going to die in this hell without ever knowing why. So before that happens,” he took a deep breath and looked Eight straight in the eyes, his green ones suddenly brighter and more focused than Eight had ever seen them, “before that happens I am making one happy memory, just one happy memory that they can’t take away from me.”

How could my top chapter have been anything else? I wrote a 166k fic, the longest fic of my life, and I wrote the entire thing around this fucking chapter. I’m so proud of it, guys. Marinette and Adrien, stripped of their memories and separated by a fence, falling in love all over again in this hopeless place, uggggh, it’s perfect.

2. Chéile Séala

“No mortal should fall in love with a fae,” Niamh said sadly. “We never bring your kind anything but sadness in the end.”

Nathalie looked into Niamh’s eyes. They were light, as though she'd wept the color right out of them. “I suppose it's not really optional,” Nathalie whispered. “Falling in love.”

Niamh blinked. “No,” she agreed, meeting Nathalie’s gaze, “not for my kind, either.”

Fucking selkies, man, who doesn’t love them? It’s the perfect myth for Mama Agreste, and once I realized the story needed to be MamaNath it pretty much wrote itself.

3. 7. The Damsel (Your Princess is in Another Castle)

“Ma'am, I am really gonna have to ask you to leave my partner alone.”

“Oh, but we have so much in common,” Adele said mockingly. “We’re both from Paris, we’re both-well, I'm not a superhero anymore, but I used to be, we…” Adele trailed off before narrowing her eyes yet again at Marinette. “Wait. A superhero from Paris… do you have a Miraculous?” Again, there was no need to wait for Marinette to give any response. “And you came here? Well, I certainly hope you people know what you’re doing, because if I just spent four years in captivity in order to keep my Miraculous away from Henrik only for you to come along with and hand him another one, I am going to be extremely put out. Which one do you have, anyway? Fox? Bee? Too much to hope you found mine, I suppose… good Lord, you don’t have one of the big ones, do you? Jesus, you do. Do you have any idea what kind of damage Henrik could do with a major Miraculous? I rejected mine because with it he could have taken over the world in a week, with yours it probably wouldn’t even take him until the end of the day, and you-”

“Oh my God,” Marinette exclaimed, finally snapping, “I cannot believe I have been listening to everyone singing your praises nonstop for like a month now, you are the most annoying person I have ever met in my life.”

Look I’m gonna try my best not to make every entry from Generations but it’ll be hard because Generations is easily my best writing, hands down. I love every second of this chapter. I love Marinette awkwardly infiltrating a cult to rescue her crush’s mom, and I love that said mom just gives her, like, the hardest time imaginable for her trouble out of sheer pettiness. I love showing that side of Adele, as opposed to the weak victim or the perfect saint of a mom/heroine, I love playing with characters acting on incomplete information, and I love Marinette snapping right back at her. And of course, this chapter also has Gabriel and Adele’s reunion after four years and ugh, my heart.

4. 9. An Unexpected Reunion (No Happily Ever Afters)

“This is starting to get to inconvenient for all of us, don't you think? It was merely a small annoyance when your family wouldn't stop pestering our friends at the police station-those sorts of misunderstandings can be so easily righted, after all. But now they're sending in,” Hector paused and looked Jonathan up and down again, “whatever he’s supposed to be. Why not just clear everything up before this escalates and somebody gets hurt? Sign the contract, explain to everyone that you work for us now and there are no hard feelings, and we can all get back to our regular lives.”

“Hector, I have six weeks to finalize a syllabus for an advanced course on the reign of Louis X. I do not have time for this. Incidentally, it wouldn't kill you to learn a bit about the man yourself, he had some interesting things to say on the subject of forcing men to do jobs they have no interest in doing. What do they call that, again? Right, slavery. He was against it. Something of a controversial stance in 1315, but nowadays it's a bit more-”

“How dare you,” Hector interrupted, his face turning red. “You should be thanking me for this opportunity. If your great-uncle hadn't served this family well for so many decades, I wouldn't even begin to entertain the notion of making such a generous offer to some half-breed maricón nobody like you. One more slight like that and I won't hesitate to-”

“What's he saying?” Jonathan interrupted in French.

“I'm not translating it,” Ferd replied angrily.

“Why not?”

“One, I don't care to repeat some of the more colorful insults. And two, it is a very run-of-the-mill villain monologue. I assume you've delivered enough of those yourself that you can figure out the gist on your own.”

Shut up, Generations is my baby. Anyway, there was exactly 0% odds this list wasn’t going to have a Ferdithan chapter on it. By all rights, Ferdithan shouldn’t have any fans whatsoever, it’s a Hawkmoth/OC pairing where Hawkmoth is also functionally an OC. But to my endless shock and joy, readers love these nerds. This chapter in particular is great because we get to see the 1000% Done version of Ferd, and when he’s fed-up he defaults to Snarky Historian and I love him.

5. Imogene

Gabriel blinked, momentarily taken aback at his wife’s flat tone. “I meant, do you remember that one night? You woke me up, hours after everyone else at the resort had fallen asleep. You led me back to the shore. We were so in love, and you were so excited to be…” Gabriel trailed off. “Don’t you remember?”

Emilie frowned. She knew they’d gone to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. She knew it had been magical. She knew it had been the trip of a lifetime. And yet… she knew it the way she knew that the Earth was round, or that water froze at zero degrees Celsius. She knew it like it was a fact she couldn’t remember learning. Her memories of the trip were just vague, shallow impressions. She didn’t remember the night Gabriel was talking about at all.

“Don’t worry about it, my love,” Gabriel said quickly, seeing that his question had upset Emilie. “It was a long time ago. It doesn’t matter.”

“Of course our honeymoon matters, Gabriel,” Emilie whispered. Gabriel wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. “I think I came back wrong.”

Sometimes I think my best writing is permanently behind me, that my heyday was a few years ago and I’ll never write anything good again...and then, Imogene. It’s so good, guys, it’s everything it was in my head and more. It was stuck there for a while, actually, because originally my idea was a lot angstier and Imogene died at the end, either because permanent sentimonsters were unstable or because her continued existence was draining Nathalie’s life force due to the damage of the Miraculous and she snapped her own amok in a blaze of self-sacrifice. Then Feast established that sentimonsters could live for centuries, then the Miraculous got fixed at the end of S3, and I kept trying to make it work until I realized I was just killing her off because her existence was inconvenient for the main characters. But so what? Isn’t it more interesting for everyone to have to deal with it, to acknowledge her personhood? It drives me mad when characters die for no reason other than to make things easier, and here I was doing the same thing without even realizing there could be another story, a better story.
