Enemies AU with Chat Noir and Argos except while Ladybug and Chat Noir are having a complicated Enemies-To-Tentative-Allies-To-Friends(?)-To-Genuine-Trust-To-Lovers Arc with Argos suffering just watching the whole charade of dancing around each other, the moment Ryuko comes into play, they speedrun that arc in record time and suddenly the tables have turned with Chat Noir third wheeling Feligami’s (Ryargos’?) flirt-fighting while he and Ladybug are still stuck in between the Friends(?) and Genuine Trust stage.

Ladybug would lecture Ryuko to stop making out with the enemy… If it weren’t surprisingly useful at keeping Argos at bay. (Should she start making out with Chat Noir? For tactical reasons, of course. She definitely doesn’t think about making out with Chat Noir for any other reasons, uh-uh.)

Also the tables have turned further because usually Chat Noir is giving Argos heart attacks with how reckless and self-sacrificial he is but now Chat Noir has to try and shake some sense into him because, “Félix, Félix, she can TAKE your brooch if she’s that close to you— she almost did!” And Argos, having recently made out with Ryuko, is still very dazed and in Loverboy Mode so he’s there like, “It’s… Fine. I can keep it safe.” Very unconvincingly and Chat Noir is like, “Do you think she’ll stop trying to take it??” And Argos smiles softly and says, “No.” and Chat Noir just. Stops trying to convince him not to kiss her and just tells him to be careful.

ARNIE WALKED SO FELIX COULD RUN 🙌🏼 if Miraculous Ladybug didn't have all the superhero stuff going on, it'd basically have the same kind of classroom relationship drama as in Hey Arnold... 🏈🐈‍⬛

1. Felix and Arnie are both based on "off-model" designs of their respective cousins: a concept version of Adrien and an animation error of Arnold 2. In the episode Felix is introduced in, Adrien's friends try to cheer him up on the day his mother "went away forever." This is the same plot as the opening of the Hey Arnold episode, "The Journal," where Arnold sits and laments the day his parents disappeared 3. Felix and Arnie are both cousins on the boys' moms' side. 4. Lila Rossi is constantly scheming to have Adrien as her boyfriend. Lila Sawyer distinctly doesn't do this, but her dream counterpart "Lulu" does when Arnold visits Arnie. 5. Helga and Marinette both have "unrequited" crushes on the respective male protagonists, and things get confusing when their identical cousin becomes involved

Felix Fathom in love with you headcanons.

Summary: It wasn't in Felix's plans to fall in love, but with each day that passed and his thoughts returned to you, he fell into reality.

You two met through Adrien. Since you and his cousin went to the same school, you seemed to be good friends and you would go support him when he played with the band Kitty Section. It was a certain day where you were with Adrien at the mansion, having a good time when Felix arrived.

He wouldn't lie, he was apathetic towards you from the beginning. Felix didn't seem very interested in his cousin's friends or in becoming friends in particular; it was the least of his concerns, but by chance, you two seemed to coincide at various times. Like the day you arrived early at the Agreste mansion and Adrien hadn't finished his private lessons yet, so Felix greeted you. He didn't seem interested in participating in long conversations with you, but it seemed like you knew how to treat him with certain topics. His crush on you wasn't something easy for Felix to digest, starting with the fact that he wasn't planning on falling in love, so this would take some time.

Felix is a born observer. He wouldn’t immediately jump into the fight, but rather he would analyze every detail about you. Without you noticing, he would start to intervene in your life in small, but significant ways: if he saw that you were uncomfortable in a situation, he would subtly intervene to get you out of it. If he noticed that you had a preference for certain things, he would “coincidentally” make them come your way. Felix wouldn’t openly admit that he does it out of love, but his actions would show his devotion more than words.

Felix’s displays of affection would be meticulous and meaningful, as would his gestures. If he were to give you something, it wouldn’t be a common object, but something that had a special meaning for you. His way of caring for you would be indirect, making sure that you always have what you need or silently protecting you and even being on the lookout for any danger that could put you at risk.

He doesn’t trust anyone easily, so, being in love with you, his greatest display of love would be to allow you to see parts of him that no one else knows. As the two of you begin to grow closer over time, Felix would share details about his family life or his true thoughts, especially around you, even allowing you to see him in moments of vulnerability. He wouldn't fake a personality in front of you, but would be more natural and sincere. He wants you to fall in love with him for who he really is, not just for an outward facade.

Felix isn't someone who expresses jealousy in an obvious way and he probably wouldn't feel that way that often, so there would be few times when you could see him that way. His attitude could become colder or sharper if he perceives someone trying to get closer to you romantically. Even with this he would have a kind of internal struggle; the idea of someone else conquering you before he could do anything would make him react with some annoyance. This could play a role, forcing him to make a decision about what he really felt for you and wanting to confess.

If Felix loves, it is with exclusivity. He would make you feel that you were unique to him. He wouldn't confess directly at first, making subtle comments implying that he only trusted you. But despite all this, Felix would for a while try to keep convincing himself that love was a weakness. However, the more he tried to pull away, the more he realized that he couldn't help but care about you and want to protect you.

Finally, when it came to the point where he accepts his love for you, his loyalty would be absolute. Planning his confession meticulously, even taking days to make everything perfect, whatever the outcome. His confession would be more subtle, with implications, letting you get the message without needing a bunch of words. Felix would confess in a private place or where he felt safe, where everything was planned so that the atmosphere would be perfect. He would treat you very well and be gentler than usual. In a seemingly normal conversation, where his confession comes out naturally and unexpectedly.

After confessing, at first glance, he might seem calm, even indifferent, but if you knew him well, you would notice the small details like his rigid posture, as if he were trying hard not to show his nervousness. His more intense gaze than usual, or his lower tone of voice, as if he were revealing a secret that only you deserved to know.

“I don’t say things I don’t mean. If what I just told you means nothing to you, I’ll understand… But if it means something, then tell me.” His words would be direct and firm, wanting to get straight to the point without so much plot. If you were to appear unsure or doubtful, he wouldn’t insist. Felix wouldn’t beg, but if he senses that there is reciprocity in your words and gaze, he would protect and care for you with absolute intensity. You would have the last word.

I just thought about something. Amelie once said Felix and Adrien tricked Gabriel and Emilie for a whole weekend. I wonder, did The Agrestes agree to let Felix stay over for a while or do you think Adrien might have had to suffer a night with Colt?

For the longest time I thought that happened on the Graham de Vanily estate, while they were all trapped together for the holidays or something similar — but we’ve learnt from Werepapas that couldn’t have been the case!

For Adrien’s sake, I hope it happened while Felix/the Fathoms were staying in Paris and that he wasn’t trapped alone with Colt for an entire weekend, but that’s definitely a possibility. I’ve seen a few different posts theorising that this particular weekend is why Adrien appeared to be so afraid of Marinette’s sheriff/cowboy sketch in Psycomedian… and I mean, just look at the way he flinches here (00:35-01:07):

He seems genuinely scared of Marinette in that instant, which otherwise never happens. So it stands to reason that the problem isn’t her, but this particular act — which is eerily similar to the way Colt is portrayed in Representation. I don’t think Colt actually walked around dressed like that, mind you, but the cousins may have been caricaturing him since they were very little. Of course, there’s always the possibility that Adrien simply witnessed Colt’s treatment of Felix, and that was enough to leave scars.

If that worst case scenario did happen, then Amelie’s retelling and forced laughter is a little weird? But we know this petulant exterior of hers is all an act. She was very likely trying to make Gabriel mad on purpose, and bringing back memories of how Colt laid his hands on his son would accomplish just that.

There’s also the possibility that while Felix tricked Gabriel and Emilie for an entire weekend, Colt found out about Adrien immediately — especially if he failed to follow amok orders — and didn’t do anything to him. Which would make for some insane Senticousins angst upon their reunion (of course Felix wouldn’t want Adrien to be hurt, but it would probably reinforce the idea that there’s something wrong with him).

It’s always a little hard to analyse Felix (the episode) due to the inconsistencies in characterisation compared to later seasons (I don’t mean this in a salty way at all — I simply think the writers hadn’t fully figured out what they wanted to do with Amelie and especially Felix then, and had to course-correct from S4 onward). But Adrien being collateral damage of Colt’s abuse, in one way or another, is very likely. Maybe he himself isn’t sure why he reacted the way he did…

came back wrong au where félix's amok breaks for whatever reason and adrien brings him back. it shouldn't be hard, right, since félix was made in his image in the first place? he has the ring and he knows félix. or does he? can anybody really ever know anybody? félix doesn't quite seem the way he was before. he doesn't remember things until adrien reminds him. adrien doesn't ask too much, because he doesn't really want to know. but sometimes he wonders, was félix always this much like me?

on the flip side, what is it like to be a person who isn't a person, who isn't this person, who is person enough to know he is supposed to be? person enough to love adrien. person enough to fit into the role of an actor, a familiar sleeve. but he's not the same. he doesn't know if he can be. he doesn't know if he wants to be. and he resents adrien for doing this to him because he wasn't willing to lose him. and he loves him. and he feels pity. he watches recordings of him before he died trying to understand, trying to become a mirror. but he is too real. an old container bleeding out the seams for a new identity. he knows adrien would find that frightening, and so he keeps it beneath. to search for answers, or for what adrien wants to see? does it matter if he is who he used to be? can't he approximate? and eventually, can't he just be?
