Proceeded to right another windbreaker and unlike most of yall. I still have not moved on from windbreaker.

Nooo I miss it too much

It's has a bit of suo x sakura fluff and mild swearing and definitely a bit of ahem... subtle stuff like yaoi. But not a lot, guys... nothing sus... just words... also... cute tickles!

If you are not interested in tickles and innocent gentle touching, then skip pls thank u!

Summary: Suo has made an early trip to Sakura's place (for some certain reason) before the rest of the gang. Suo teases and calls Sakura childish... Sakura's not having any of that.

Warning Spoilers for Windbreaker season 1 and anime keel arc, but mainly the anime

Childish

"Sakura-kun, when's the last time you cut your hair?" Suo Hayato murmurs softly now caressing the slightly longer cowlicks on his white coloured side, the two tones split unevenly but beautifully.

Seeing how he casually reached to touch him, Sakura instinctively jolts back, fists raised defensively to punch him, "H-hey quit touching me... and why the hell are you here?"

"Uwe?" Suo feigning confusion as he looks around 'here' as in Sakura's empty house. Suo gives a sweet smile, "Well... we did put a text saying we're coming by to play uno... didn't we?"

"You did?" Sakura's arms lowered now. He fumbled for his phone and takes his sweet time checking and noticed the message and Suo grins, "Ah so now it's read..."

Sakura's face blossomed red, "Y-yeah well I purposefully uh..." rummaged his brain for the right word, "Golstered you!"

Suo blinks, "Golster...?" Realization dawned to him, "Ohhh Sakura-kun, do you mean 'ghosted'? Haha, " he bursts into airy light laughter, making Sakura turn even more red.

"Ahah sorry sorry," he wipes a dry tear, "Where did you learn that word? Haha from Nirei?"

Sakura folds his arms. Pouting a little like a kid, "W-Well, it's from Kiryu... he did teach me things about uh using a smartphone"

To think Sakura is finally talking to others outside from Nirei and himself. Suo's heart elevated at that. So endearing...

"Kurita taught me about using uh... stickers..." he mumbled that shyly, "Then uh Takanashi recommended a good... um brand for perfume... its good..."

"I'm glad you're learning... honestly, it's kind of cute... like a child. " Suo pats his head gently, half mockingly and half proudly.

"Gah! Dont patronise me!" Sakura snapped, pushing his hand away, "I'm not cute!"

"But you are... adorable, " he paused to lean forward, booping his nose, "So childish... and it makes me feel like a proud parent"

Sakura grumbled, his lower lip tilting down trying to look away, "Damn u... who are you calling childish?"

"You?" Suo pokes his ribs, making him jolt now, hissing like a kitten, "Quit teasing me punk!"

"Why?" Once again, Suo pokes him a bit to the lower ribs, making Sakura stumble backwards and this gives the latter the chance to tickle his sides forcefully.

"Gah! Haha oi! Stop it! Cuhuhut ihihit out!" Arms hugging his sided as Suo's delicate fingers tormented his ribs.

"Well, childish people are pretty ticklish, Sakura kun..." Suo points out, "you are still fifteen so technically your a child"

"I AM NOT!" Sakura snaps but arched his back with a squeal when Suo sneaks his fingers under the hem of his shirt, grazing his bare waist.

"AH! AHA time out! TIHIME OUT!"

Suo pauses fingers, still touching his bare skin, "So Sakura kun? What do u think? Are you a child?"

"Noo!" Sakura growled, "But I hold grudges!" He tackles Suo now beginning to retaliate.

"Aha! Sakura-kun w-wahahait not mehe" Suo giggles tumbled freely compared to Sakura's yelping and small squeaky giggles, his was airy and light, making Sakura mesmerised.

He smirked, somewhat motivated to try this new concept called 'tickling'.

"Ha! Can't take what you dish? Who's childish no?"

"Ahaha Sakura-kun ahaha" he does sound like he's enjoying. Sakura gets distracted when he felts something sharply electrifying over his navel, light finger skittering sneakily making Jim double over on top of Suo.

"G-gah! Hehe, oi baka!"

Suo let's a snicker now, "Uh oh I found a sensitive spot... you shouldn't have got me back Sakura-kun"

The felt skittering fingers over his belly quite torturous. Suo is incredible merciless. Sakura slowly buckled yo the side, giggling and gasping.

"Ngn! S-Suo! Shit yohohou ahahasshole!"

Suo grins, now managing to catch his breath, further attacking that spot. Hoping to safe from being caught in the receiving end.

Sakura's will power is still amazing. Suo gasps in subtle shock as Sakura pushes himself again on top of Suo and manages to grab both his wrists towards his chest. Suo for the first time stares up at his eyes... taken aback by the beautiful Blush on his cheeks, long white and black lashes tear stained... his breath suddenly hitched when...

"Take that!" Sakura snaps, tickling Suo's neck, which made him jump.

This didn't go according to his plan.

Sure Suo did allow Sakura to tickle him back for him to actually get the upper hand and unintentionally charm him and then get his worst spot was uncalled for.

"Eeyaha!" Suo, let's a shocked strained squeak. Now scrunching his shoulders up protectively, even his wrists were pinned. Sakura still managed to discover a pretty vulnerable spot.

"I will get u back Suo Hayato!" Sakura gritted his teeth, his eyes determined and serious almost causing Suo to forget the current ticklish plight.

"Ahaha Sakura-kun y-yohou gohot me!"

"Nope not until you say uh... whats the word" Sakura thinks "was it aunt... nephew? Idk..."

Suo genuinely laughed at that, and squeaked and giggled as he tried to talk, manahing to free his wrists, "Ahaha Sakura-kun y-yoohoohou mean uncle hahaha thahahahats sohohoho adoohohorable ehehehe whehehen yohohohou sahahahaid thahahat!"

Sakura blushed, "Y-you-!"

"Ah! Nirei-kun your already back?"

Sakura turns back, now fulling ready to keep his composure and cool.

"I-I was trying to... huh?"

Nobody was behind... just an empty door still closed. Before his cat instincts could warn him...

A slow steady finger slid up his spine making him jolt and stagger away but the villain caught him in his arms. He messed up... Big-big time.

"Sakura-kun?" Suo whisperedt at his ear making him shiver and squirm, "Need I remind you that no one gets away with tickling me..."

"S-Suo -eya!" Sakura yelps when Suo trips him on his back. He felt a grip on his ankle and panics. "W-Whooa, whoa! Hold on! No...!"

Suo Hums, suddenly dark and playfully eerie, he lightly rubbed the toes, now warming up and keeping Sakura in anxious giggly jitters.

"If you weren't my friend... I would've broken your fingers but since you're my dear friend... I like to torment these piggies as a punishment..."

Sakura clenched his fists, uncertain what he meant by pigs... u till he felt scribbles from the first toe making him squeal.

"Ever played the game this little piggy?"

"Noo nooohoo, stop it's ehehehembarassing!" He giggles, feeling the childish teasing more impactful than the tickling.

"Cute..." Suo unfazed swiftly sang, 'This little piggy' enjoying the obnoxious Yelps and squeaks he tried to hide desperately from Suo.

"Who's a child now Sakura-kun."

"AAHAHA SHIT NOT THERE!" When Suo spider tickles his stomach.

"You seem particularly sensitive here... but more there..." Suo Hums casually, sweetly taking his time swirling his finger over his belly button making Sakura squeal.

"Gyaahaha! OOHOHOK! YOU WIN! HAHAHA PLS! PLS! PLEAAHAHASE!"

"Eh? Suo-san? Sakura-san? What's going on?"

Suo swiftly takes a position cross-legged on the ground smiling brightly, "Oh I was teaching Sakura-kun how to act more mature... he's so childish.

"D-damn you!" Sakura gasps but unable to get up as he was tired and fatigued. Kiriyu grins now smiling, "Ehh? Was that cute girl squeal Sakura-kun? No way..."

"Even I thought Sakura-kun brought a girl?" Tsugeura says seriously, genuinely considering that option. Suo laughs now, "Wow, Sakura-kun..."

Sakura grumbled, now fully red, "bastards! Ugh! Fucking hell I will get yall," he specifically eyed Suo now Narrowing his eyes, "You! Watch it!"

"Hmm, hmm, Sakura-kun is even cuter when he's getting serious..."

Kiriyu giggled, "Haiii! Sakura-chan kawaiii!" He suddenly tackled Sakura to tickle his sides making the latter shriek in surprised laughter.

Tsugeura joins in with the heat, and Nirei just looked, somewhat conflicted and confused while Suo watched the spectacle with amusement -sipping his tea (when the hell did he do that?)

It was a lively day in Makochi

I’ve seen a few people make sprites of their characters and thought it sounded like a fun idea so yeeeah~

Lyra was originally designed to be an artsona but ended up becoming more like a separate character, so now she’s a bit of both? I suppose generally you’ll put bits of yourself in OCs, so she’s just like an extreme version of that haha

I’m not sold on the font I used but also didn’t want to spend ages looking for a more fitting one, ahah - maybe I’ll actually pose her some time as well?… Maybe.

I was also looking at some of the expressions from the Archives book (tho clearly I also couldn’t be bothered to clean up my sketches, ops)

It’s interesting to see Cater had red eyes at some point (as well as the many early concepts for characters, like human Jack-)… And the annotations on Malleus’ page about “how does he sleep with those horns?” hHHaha

Her full sprite probably has some mistakes where I got lazy but oh well. I tried to stay as close to the actual style as possible - referencing Najma for a female sprite made it so much easier ;-;

The deadpan expressions on the neutral sprites always makes me laugh, especially when I had a reference on my canvas, so just had two characters starring me down like they’re coming for my shins-

But yeah, I have no idea how you should go about making an actual sprite, so my organisation is probably… terrible, but I tried ahaha

R:Zero, EP 2 - Recovery

Episode 02: Recovery

Overview: Meeting the team

The scene opens up to a wide, calming, plain desert. The peaceful setting only to be broken up by two warthogs with a motorbike following. 

The leading warthog is driven by Katie Jensen, with Bitters in the passenger seat, holding onto a railing, mostly zoning out. Behind them was Palomo, with their new recruit at the passenger seat. Smith followed behind on a smaller vehicle. Jensen and Palomo have their banter, arguing who could drive faster. 

Jensen gets cocky, thinking she could easily beat him, betting to race him, making the others (except Palomo) uneasy. The two sped up gradually, with Palomo slowly matched up to Jensen’s speed, their vehicles now side by side. 

Jensen: “Oho-ho! You really want to challenge me?”

Palomo: “I’ll bet on it!”

Jensen: “You sure?”

Palomo: “50 bucks!”

Jensen: “100!”

The two go on for a bit, Smith staying out while Bitters staying silent for the most of it, getting progressively more pissed off as the two started bumping into each other. The new recruit getting more and more anxious about being between the two drivers as they drive into one another. Smith, at first worried that they would take it too far, started commentating.

Slowly, they get on Bitters’ nerves, causing him to speak up.

Bitters: “Hey-! Enough with your couple's feud already, someone’s going to get hurt.”

Palomo: “Oh c’mon Antonie~! It’s just a little fun!”

Jensen bumps into Palomo’s vehicle. 

Jensen: “Yeah! What’s wrong? Jealous~?

Bitters: “Jealous? Why the hell would I be-”

Palomo bumps into Jensen’s vehicle, interrupting Bitters, which ended up being the last straw.

Bitters: “Alright, that’s it! Move over!”

Bitters pushed Jensen over to the passenger seat, switching places as Bitters takes the wheel. 

Jensen: “H-Hey!”

Bitters: “Why the fuck does this thing have 6 pedals?!”

Palomo: “What’s wrong? Never drove before?”

Bitters: grunts “Shut up. I got my drivers license before all of you!”

[yes i’ve had this stupid dialouge for ages now, and I’m incredibly stubborn. Also we’re keeping the “you’re insane” line]

They continue their race with bets on Jensen riding on Bitters to win. 

Reaching back to base, Bitters leads but stops first as soon as he sees Kimball, Carolina and Tucker. Palomo swings around as second place, however, overshooting and almost hitting the three, with Kimball and Tucker jumping back while Carolina stays still. Smith arrives last, jumping off and quickly standing at attention, leading Jensen, Bitters and the new recruit to do the same.

Carolina turns around to Kimball, teasing about the time as her ‘elite’ team had arrived late.

Carolina: “0700 sharp, eh?”

Kimball brushes the sand dust off her armour before retorting back.

Kimball: “Well, that was the plan.”

Kimball steps forward, addressing the lieutenant and the new rookie. Palomo quickly jumps off to try and apologise to Kimball, only to get shut down before Smith motions for him to get in line.

The new rookie is noticeably nervous, having to look over to how Smith stands to replicate the stance. Bitters is looking off, not really paying attention, while Jensen looks like she's about to hop around, almost excited for the task. 

Kimball: “I see you all managed to bring our new recruit back, intact.” 

Jensen: “Pssh, Raymond over here was in good hands.”

Jensen threw an arm over Raymond, pulling him into a half-hug.

Raymond: [mumbling] “You guys were driving like a madman.”

Jensen: “Oh right, you were in Palomo’s hands.” 

Palomo: “I can hear you-”

Smith: “Ahem.” 

Smith reminds the others to pay attention. 

Kimball: Disappointed “I’m...aware.” 

Kimball tells them to be at ease before stepping aside to show Carolina and Tucker’s arrival. Palomo starts to pay more attention, getting excited to see his old captain again. 

Kimball: “As you all know, you’ve been assigned to check on the Communication Towers due to last night’s hijack.”

Bitters: “Yeah yeah.”

Smith: “Antoine.”

Kimball: “You’ll also be joined by your old captain, Tucker, and Agent Carolina. They will be accompanying you on your mission.”

Palomo: [whispers] “Yes.”

Bitters: [mumbles] “We’re fucked.” 

Kimball: “C’mon.”

Kimball leads the team, Tucker and Carolina to a meeting room. A hologram of the layout of the communication towers, which Kimball uses to brief the team. 

Kimball: “Got all that?”

Carolina: “Crystal clear.”

Tucker: “Wait no-”

Kimball: “Good. I’m passing the responsibility onto Carolina and Tucker for this mission. They’ll be your captains.” [Whispers] “Sorry to throw this on you.”

Carolina: “Don’t worry, it’s not my first time.”

The door opens where the assistant from before appears. 

Assistant: “President Kimball, you’re needed”

Kimball: [Sighs] “That’s my cue to leave, best of luck to you all.”

Kimball rushes off, running past her assistant. 

Camera follows Kimball as her assistant runs to catch up with her, knocking into another private in pink armour. Saying a quick apology before going back to chasing Kimball.    

Going back to the main team. They all give an awkward look to one another, having barely formally met in a long while. Unsure if they should catch up first or not.  

In an attempt to break the silent tension, Carolina went back to observing the hologram. 

Carolina: “So… what time are we leaving?”

Palomo, Smith and Raymond -- kinda just following Smith’s lead -- looked over to Jensen and Bitters, the two typically being responsible for transportation. 

Jensen: “Probably in about 5 minutes?”

Bitters: “Mattews will walk us there.”

Carolina: “Matthews?”

Bitters: “Depending on what he knows, he might be a little late.”

Panting, Matthews busts through the door, holding onto a tray of freshly baked muffins.

Matthews: “I’m not late!”

Grabbing hold of everyone’s attention. Bitters rolls his eyes (or head) as he calmly walks towards his co-worker, dragging his hand along the table. 

Bitters: “..or not.”

Tucker sniffed the air, realising what had entered his vicinity. Looking back to Carolina before dashing towards Matthews. Carolina called out to Tucker before racing towards Matthews herself, startling him. 

Matthews flinches, falling back and drops the tray, being picked up immediately by Carolina who keeps Tucker away from the tray of muffins by hand. Bitters picking Matthews up to make sure he’s ok.

Matthews: “Gah-!”

Bitters: holding onto him with a hand “You ok?”

Matthews: Standing up “Uh- yeah..”

Bitters: “Also, muffins? Seriously?”

Matthews: “Well I heard Captain Tucker and Carolina didn’t-”

Bitters: disappointed sighs, mumbling “Of course…”

Carolina lifts the tray over her head as Tucker claws at it.

Tucker: “PLEASE! I’m so hungry… I never got to eat dinner.”

Carolina: “So did I. And I’m not letting you finish everything.”

Tucker: “Pleaseeeeee!”

The rest of the team walk over, watching the two fight over food. Bitters walks over behind Carolina, grabbing for the tray while she’s distracted with Tucker. He pulls the tray away from Carolina. The two look back to Bitters, unwary of the others looking at them.

Bitters: “How old are you guys again..”

Tucker: “Dude you don’t understand, I haven’t eaten since yesterday lunchtime.”

Matthews peaks out from behind Bitters, speaking up.

Matthews: “I made you guys muffins-”

Raymond: “Oo-! Could I have one?”

Matthews: turning to Raymond “Y-yeah! I had to rush back to make more…”

Bitters: “Of course.” 

Matthews: “It should be enough for everyone!”

Bitters: “Heard that?”

Carolina and Tucker glance towards, realising how stupid they look, Carolina letting go of Tucker. 

Carolina: “We might have… Overreacted. Apologies.”

Tucker: “‘WE’?!”

Carolina: “Ignore him. Thank you for the muffins…”

Matthews: “Yip-! N-no problem!” 

Matthews whispers excitedly to Bitters, shaking his arm as he rambles nonsense about what had just happened as Carolina grabs a muffin to eat. 

Smith: *Ahem* 

Jensen: “Right! Matthews, is our ride ready?”

Matthews turns to the group, hopping and gaining confidence in his stance.

Matthews: “Oh right, yep! It is. If you all would follow me.” 

Rotating around to the main door, Matthews leads the group out towards the plane centre, making small talks about the plane they will be taking as well as the time they should return. 

Bitters sticks by Matthews as he leads, sometimes overtaking him as if he were impatiently sticking to a routine. Matthews turns around constantly to talk to Tucker and Carolina who follow right behind the two, asking questions about their retirement, how they've been, how the other Captains are, if Grif remembers him, what they were doing on Chorus and so on. Bitters tries to stop him at first before shaking his head and walking forward on his own. Tucker barely manages to answer Matthews before he goes on to another question, excited to see his (at least one of) idols again - with Carolina only chiming in occasionally to mess with Tucker. Lil Update

it's been going well, it's at 59k so far with it almost halfway through eheh (i know i'm taking my precious time lmao). what i can say is: Prologue, 15 Chapters, Epilogue--so 17 parts in total (prolly subject to change which i hope not cause it's already a lot help lol). BUT i am at the part of the series where it's all starting to go downhill i must say? lmao and it's getting difficult to write because my heart can only take so much angst and violence and nightmares and heartbreak and ugh so aha but we power through. plus the uphill again is soooo far away so i need to breathe for a bit anyways, yeah, just wanted to share that and to say that thanks everyone for being patient. but also...just wait a lil bit more alsklks after i've written all the difficult bits (which is whew) then i'll start posting because i can't deal with ALL these emotions (especially when i'm so invested in it pls i'm prolly gonna cry a couple times) and also have the pressure of updating weekly (which includes visuals aka chapter headers, songs for each part, moodboards, i'm being extra i know lol) so yeah. anyhow, that's all for today haha i'm going back to my hole.

1. If you had to change the pairing’s very first meeting, how would you change it?

Ooh okay, so since we don’t know exactly how it went (but it must have gone well. cause. yknow. look at them :3) I actually like that there’s no official meeting because yknow. Room for creative interpretation ahah. For example, I can picture Mori deciding Dazai is out of control and needs someone to reign him in, then he profiles the PM and decides on Oda. Someone who has skills worthy of Dazai’s respect, yet is harmless to the PM; someone who has a temperament that means he can put up with Dazai for a while and still be eccentric enough that he’ll keep Dazai entertained in turn. And then maybe Mori sends Dazai off to this bar he knows Oda frequents with some bad prompt like ‘assess this guy if he’s a threat to the pm’ and it. takes off from there.

however! i will say if i absolutely had to change their first meeting, i’d probably make it so that dazai and oda find each other curiously irritating; maybe dazai’s annoyed by dense naivety and maybe oda would rather deal with less hostile and less “executive-level-meaning-i-can-fire-you” people. maybe dazai is so irritated he ends up getting oda kicked out of the mafia and oda winds up joining the agency. let’s say uhhh eventually, skk takes down mimic and this leaves the mafia pretty unstoppable. skk is at the height of their talents. so oda’s given the task of stopping them, starting with dazai. (yeah, it’s hard picturing enemies to friends to lovers odz for me too lmaooo) but i think...maybE? it could work?

or maybe the tragedy is that it wouldn’t; that oda needs to die for dazai to learn to live and that they always find out too late. idk. :) 

9. Favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics?

Mmm. Gonna pick two examples of their. 1) Relationship dynamic: soft: one of them being silly, the other humoring him, and both of them genuinely enjoying their time together. 2) Mutual care for one another; Dazai may not understand Oda’s refusal to kill but he will respect it. There’s not a lot he gives a fuck about, but Oda and his morals are exempt to that. And for Oda, obviously he sees Dazai as a dear friend (reading the light novel, you can tell just how much exactly), and he does want the best for Dazai, even if all the troublesome little things made it hard for him to express this.

11. If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?

Being the hoe I am, I keep hoping Asagiri will give Dazai the book and he’ll either make Beast happen or bring Oda and kids back to life. 

Okay but hmm. If I had to make them happen in canon, I’m like 99% sure, they’d get their shit together eventually. Maybe they have a shit day, maybe they get hammered, maybe they start talking about why one of them wants to die and one of them doesn’t want to kill and it starts with that understanding (oh of course, insert the awkward morning after; did we really do a cheesy heart to heart drunk? yea) and then eventually yknow. the feeling feelings start going at a alarming rate; yknow. i’d like oda to realize first aha bc funny. and then someday dazai passingly has a thought: “oh...odasaku looks really handsome today,’ and then. oh.
