In order to help Umi, his mother Takako, a gifted surgeon, left his two older brothers, Tsubasa and Riku, and sought refuge with a medical research facility. The facility is a shadowy organization which studies people with phenomenal powers in specific areas and repeatedly conducts unethical human experiments in an attempt to create scientifically superior humans. Umi has a successful transplant surgery, but because the donor had such remarkable powers of memory, Umi inherits those memories which are brought back with each passing day to the extent that he is even governed by the donor’s personality. Here's the new advert with Aiba for Aqura Home. Aiba admitted that he hasn't done kabe-dong in a long time. (For those who don't understand kabe-dong, it's an action where a man pushes a girl against a wall, subjugating her to his will).

The new TV spot is a heartwarming drama in which Aiba becomes a shop manager and tries to create the perfect home for his client. ‘Why is there a wall between us?’ complains the woman: and manager Aiba, seeing the man leaning against the wall, urges him, ‘Don't give up!’ And the man leans against the wall with a sad look. The scene changes, Aiba's manager returns to the shop and with a serious look declares: ‘I'm going to build a house without walls and columns!’ and suddenly pushes the junior employee against the wall. The junior employee is shocked, but this getting rid of walls was manager Aiba's idea-using the room more spaciously by removing unnecessary partitions.

With the words ‘Walls can be eliminated’ Manager Aiba used his whole body to eliminate one unnecessary wall and column after another, and even raised the ceiling to create an exorbitantly spacious living room with a solid structure. The end result is a ceiling so high that even a giraffe could live in it with its head held high, with manager Aiba smiling as the couple and children run around with happy expressions on their faces. The highlight of the video is the warm story and powerful performance, which is the result of Manager Aiba's passion for bringing his clients' perfect homes to life.

Filming took place in very hot weather, with temperatures exceeding 36°C. Despite the heat, Aiba kept a smile on his face as he continued filming. He and the film crew enjoyed reminiscing about their summer memories, talking about whether they prefer beetles or deer, sunflowers or morning flowers, and what kind of ice cream they had this year. By the way, he revealed that he prefers the traditional shaved ice to the fluffy ice that is in fashion right now.

During the filming of the ‘Kabe Don’ scene, which is the highlight of the commercial and Aiba's first scene in a long time, there was a slightly tense atmosphere on the set. But Aiba's kindness and care for his partner was also seen during the shoot.

The scene where the walls and pillars are removed and the ceiling is raised is more dynamic. Aiba was saying, ‘This wall too! And these columns!’ and expressed it with powerful movements and voice. In the final scene, he engaged the muscles of his entire upper body with an expression of strength and made dynamic movements as if he was actually lifting the ceiling. The scene was completed with Aiba's passion.

Aiba commented on the Kabe-don scene ‘I haven't done something like this in years, so it feels new!’

As a leader, did you encourage your junior staff a lot?

Mother Teresa used to say: ‘You cannot do big things at once, but however small they are, do them with great love.’ These words have helped me a lot. They taught me that small things should be done systematically, without striving for big accomplishments. By the way, I learnt this by reading the book (laughs).

Fun fact: Vil Schoenheit's VA, Hiroki Aiba, also has a background in musical theater. One of the roles he played was Enjolras in Les Misérables (my favorite musical!). Although I can't find any clips of his performance in costume, here's a clip of him singing some of the songs from the musical:

The TWST developers really picked the right person to play Vil. Just look at the drama and intensity he brings to the stage!

For context, the character Enjolras is the charismatic leader of a group of revolutionaries in 19th-century France. He's also usually depicted as blond in other adaptations, just like Vil (lol). Although he isn't the main character, he is definitely the fan favorite among the Les Mis fandom.

In the end, maybe Vil was the hero on stage all along.

Meet the Seiyuu: Malleus Draconia

Malleus Draconia’s voice actor Kato Kazuki is a live theater performer with roles in over 70 stage productions including the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera. Malleus Draconia is his first lead-character role in a video game. Today is his birthday!

Kato decided to get into entertainment after reaching the final round of a beauty contest at 18, but initially only found work as background characters in TV dramas. He worked parttime at McDonald’s and Tower Records until being cast in the Prince of Tennis musical at 22 years old.

Kato's major debut as a singer was in April of 2006 with his mini-album Rough Diamond.

Kato has voiced only four lead anime/video game characters to date: - Malleus Draconia in Twisted Wonderland - Joker in Kaitou Queen - Aen Kaito in Kaito x Ansa - Leon Dompteur in Ikemen Prince: The last love of Beauty And The Beast

Kato's live theater roles include Atobe Keigo in The Prince of Tennis musical alongside Vil's actor Aiba, Ronan Mazurier in 1789 Les Amants de la Bastille, the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Thomas Andrews in Titanic, P.T. Barnum in BARNUM and more.

In 2021 Kato performed at Tokyo Disney Sea’s “Prince of Voice: Voice Stars Dream Live" alongside Crewel’s voice actor Ito Kent and Silver’s voice actor Shimazaki Nobunaga, singing “Go the Distance” from Hercules.

very much so! i think that after the resolution route date cuts down on his cabaret club outings bc he feels So Old. and after they start dating they go out sometimes but also like to chill inside, clean/cook together, drink some wine, and watch a movie or smth :3

actually i think they're more similar than ppl think! both are very determined and family-oriented, have a tendency for self-sacrifice, and like to joke around (hitomi's jokes are more subtle though lmao).i think they mostly differ when it comes to impulsivity - date's that kind of person to act first and think second lol

mm i think it's mostly through doing little things for each other, like hitomi making a cute bento box for date, and him making her tea just the way she likes it (piping hot)

haha yeah about that. (boss & hitomi text often though. mostly worrying about date. disaster man.)

oh i think they support each other by just. being there for one another. doing little things to cheer up the other one, asking how to help, bouncing ideas off of each other. but when it gets Harder i think both of them (mostly date) bottle things up a lot until the other one (mostly hitomi) gets too worried to let that slide.

Nightmare Polycule: The cirsed creation of like. 4 people on a niche fandom discord. Polycule consisting of pretty much every adult character in the series. It's awful and somehow the best thing ever. The potential for both crack and angst is unmatched. The divorced parents energy is OFF THE CHARTS. Marcia realizes she is a morosexual and has a crisis about it. Gringe confronts his prejudices by falling for a no-good wizard. Jillie Djinn is Marcia's ex and also dead and also GHOSTING ON HER COUCH which makes it very hard to bring her boyfriends over. Marcellus tries to be dramatic about the fleetingness of human life (except his) and gets made fun of until he confronts his trauma instead. Sarah and Mrs Gringe are having tea and getting a break from the drama.

Nokia/Ami: (spoilers for the game) all the fan stuff ive seen for the game is painfully straight unless its focusing on the two ships where one character is canonically gay n in love with the other (protag of the sequel game with his gay bestie i forgot the name of n yuuko/fei) n ami is usually just drawn on her own BUT theres a lot of canon subtext between nokia n ami mostly as a result of not much actually changing based on if u play as a boy or a girl regardless nokia to some extent likes ami she flirts with her talks about their relationship as if theyre already dating theres a scene that parallels a m/f couple in the game that plays exactly the same between ami n nokia with two other characters saying something along the lines of ah young love during a mandatory side quest ami gets offered an implied sex doll that looks exactly like nokia (weird story there the quest ends with it being heavily implied that the people that take the dolls end up having their organs harvested while their minds are stuck in a digital space called eden unaware that theyre not in the real world) n she has to think about it before declining the offer nokia's character arc is working to become a strong leader n reliable friend cause she wants to stand next to ami instead of relying on her theyre childhood friends but forgot about it ok i need to explain a bit more of the story so like as kids ami n nokia along with three other characters met beta testing for eden n one of them ended up getting eden syndrome to make sure theyre all able to leave safely (theres a thing called eaters that if u get eaten by put u in a coma cause theyre storing the contents of ur brain in them) n a guy who wants to use the eaters to get to the next stage of evolution removes their memories of the incident so years later as teenagers ami nokia n arata (one of the childhood friends important to the story but not to the ship) become friends again n reunite on eden where ami ends up getting eden syndrome but in a funky way cause she was logging out as she got eaten so she has a cyber body that over the course of the game deteriorates n at the end of the game ami basically dies right as everything is being fixed all the victims of eden syndrome are no longer comatose but ami is cause yknow kind of deteriorated too much n it happened right in front of nokia's eyes as she reached out for her hand so they could go home together n nokia cries for the only time in the game cause of that but ive genuinely never seen any fan stuff of them interacting so despite them being teased romantically n built up as being really important to eachother theres nothing not even like nokia with takumi (boy protagonist) im submitting it specifically as nokia/ami just cause i like wlw ships more if u want to do it neutrally protag's surname regardless of gender is aiba sorry if this is incoherent its been like 6 months since ive played the game

M: In the beginning of this year, I had the opportunity to do Arashi Radio special with Sakurai-kun. That time, it's been a while but he said, let's go for a meal. So I said, sounds good, let’s go! What did I say again? I think, I said, Wednesday. He was like, which day are you free? So I was like, {Wednesday} is free! It was like, in that case let’s save the date then we went. The two of us ate together… what did we talk about again? We didn’t talk about anything important. When was it, he went with Aiba-kun for snowboarding? Skiing? Something like that. But when they met up in the morning, there was somebody else. When he looked closely it was Kotoge! He told me that happily before talking about it on variety. It was memorable. That kind of small talks with no real content. We had a meal together, then we took a bit of a leisurely stroll outside. We were like, we really ate, huh… Then we said bye and went home.

M: About Nino, it’s his birthday recently, I think I had filming that day too, so I messaged him in the afternoon, like congratulations. It’s the last year of our thirties so let’s end it well, I sent a message like that.

M: As for Aiba-kun, recently… his stage play, right? I went to see his stage play. It seemed like it was tough! Did you guys see it? Well, maybe not all of you was able to see it since it’s in Tokyo and all. On Arashi’s Voyage, I think there’s a talk scene with Miyata Keiko. Aiba-kun said that time, he didn’t think he’d have the chance to do it. It became a reality so fast. When I asked him how was it? He said, it’s tough! It It’s a lot of pressure, in a good meaning. You get pushed hard to do it. Lately there’s no experience like that, right? He’s like, it’s very tough but I’m really glad.

M: Oh, that guy, huh. The oldest son! Recently, we only talked via texts. As to what it was about, it’s a genre I’m not good at. I was like, do you have recommendations? Then he sent me 5-6 things, like, I recommend this one, and this one, and this one. When I asked him if he was doing well, he said he caught a cold. So I was like, please rest. I was like, I’m sorry. That kind of conversation. Please take it easy, kind of like that. So it isn’t like we don’t keep in touch. Everyone in Arashi is more or less like this.

Everyone is in the picture but only Matsujun's face is gold because it's covered with gold powder. Everyone is normal-looking and only Matsujun… I think he was doing the Curse of the Tuthankamun. I was like, what the heck is this? So, I took a picture of it. Then there's another one, "2011 Purikura" is written on it. It’s a small envelope. That one is also maybe, Arashi-chan... It was maybe taken on Himitsu no Arashi-chan... A two-shot purikura with Matsujun appeared! It was quite funny so I sent the group picture where only Matsujun's face is gold-colored and the purikura photograph. Then, I received a reply from Matsujun, while wearing that warrior helmet and armor, that is, using a smartphone, he took a picture of himself reflected in the mirror wearing a warrior helmet and armor. He said, "Battle ongoing." (Laughs) I'm sorry, but... So I was like, "Sorry, sorry! Battle ongoing? I'm sorry." What kind of conversation was that. Wearing a warrior helmet and armor but using a smartphone is funny... It must be tough. I’m sorry.

Arashi dan Aku

Tulisanku kali ini adalah salah satu cerita behind the scene. Artinya, cerita di balik layar yang...well, mungkin belum banyak orang tahu. Aku pengen banget bagikan cerita ini karena harus ada lebih banyak orang lagi yang tahu betapa awesome idolaku ini!

Aku bahkan nggak kenal mereka secara personal, tetapi lima orang ini sudah menyelamatkan hidupku. Literally.

Aku kenal om-om ini sejak SMA. Pada semester kedua kelas X, ada guru bahasa Indonesia memutarkan satu dorama (istilah drama dalam jejepangan) berjudul Yamada Taro Monogatari di kelasku. Tokoh utamanya adalah dua personel Arashi, Sakurai Sho dan Kazunari Ninomiya. Lagu opening nya saat itu adalah Happiness by Arashi. Doramanya seru banget dan jujur aku cukup hooked up sama tokoh Mimura Takuya yang diperankan Sho. Aku minta semua file episode doramanya ke guruku tersebut dan memutuskan akan menontonnya saat liburan.

Dan yes, karena menghabiskan waktu nonton Yamada Taro Monogatari saat perpulangan asrama, aku mulai suka sama Arashi. Aku jadi kenal member selain Sho dan Nino: Ohno Satoshi (Oh-chan / Riida), Aiba Masaki (Aiba-chan), dan Matsumoto Jun (MatsuJun).

Like, sukaaaa banget!

Aku menemukan video profil perjalanan mereka di YouTube waktu mencari tahu tentang mereka. Menonton video tersebut membuatku makin kesengsem sama om-om ini. They. Are. Cool. Meski debut besar-besaran di Hawaii pada 1999 dan sempat sukses, album dan konser mereka sempat flop banget di era Pikanchi, to the point susah cari penonton buat konser mereka di Yokohama. Nama mereka baru naik lagi setelah MatsuJun ambil role sebagai Domyouji Tsukasa dalam dorama Hana Yori Dango (mungkin kalian pernah nonton dorama ini). Itu pun MatsuJun sengaja ambil role tersebut buat menaikkan nama Arashi. Dalam Secret Talk di single Wish yang jadi original soundtrack dramanya MatsuJun, member Arashi bahkan roasting dengan berterima kasih sama MatsuJun.

Kurang lebih verbatimnya gini, "Makasih ya, MatsuJun. Doramamu bikin member Arashi jadi ada kerjaan,".

Ish, sedih kalau ingat masa itu :")

Kalau dibandingin, mungkin kurang lebih sama kayak sensasi BTS di Korea Selatan, dari awalnya flop akhirnya sukses besar. Bedanya, pasar musik mereka fokus sama Jepang doang.

So, untuk menceritakan lebih lanjut bagaimana aku bisa suka banget sama Arashi, aku akan mulai dari masa-masa sulitku di SMA. Karena untuk alasan itulah aku menulis bahwa they saved my life.

Aku punya ketakutan waktu dapat jatah piket asrama dan sekolah. Piket apapun. Aku takut kalau ketahuan ada satu spot yang masih nggak bersih, dimaki-maki, dan disuruh mengulang. Aku nggak keberatan sih sebenarnya buat mengulang, tapi harusnya...minus makiannya nggak, sih?

"Percuma kamu pintar di sekolah kalau ngerjain pekerjaan rumah aja nggak bisa! Jadi istri macam apa kamu nanti?".

Yah, kurang lebih begitu.

Itu masih masalah piket. Aku juga dipermasalahkan karena dianggap "juggling" dua cowok di saat bersamaan. Padahal, dua orang cowok ini sahabatku semua dan we were so inseparable.

Aku juga kehilangan ruang privasi. Sejak orang tahu apa yang kutulis dalam diari, diariku sering dicari dan dibuka. Setelah itu, yep, they used my own words against me.

Dan sebenarnya masih ada lain-lainnya. But, let's close it here.

Honestly, mentalku jatuh banget. Terutama pada tahun pertama dan kedua, kayaknya nggak ada hari tanpa nangis dan isolated. Aku sampai sekarang bahkan nggak tahu kenapa masih hidup aja diriku ini.

Karena orang yang pernah bully aku at some points mengalami hal yang sama persis kayak yang kualami. Dan dia hampir "lewat" setelah...well, you know.

Dalam masa-masa sulit itulah aku menemukan Arashi. Aku lupa apa persisnya lagu pertama yang kudengar dari mereka. Namun, aku masih ingat lagu-lagu pertama yang kumasukkan ke dalam playlist: Fight Song, Sakura Sake, Pikanchi Double, A.Ra.Shi, Kitto Daijoubu, Kotoba Yori Taisetsuna Mono, Nice na Kokoroiki, dan Hadashi no Mirai.

Dan aku juga masih ingat gimana perasaanku waktu mendengarkan lagu mereka.

Iya, aku nangis waktu dengernya! Tapi, kali ini bukan karena sedih. Aku nangis karena merasa menemukan harapan buat melanjutkan hidup. Aku nangis karena ingat aku masih muda banget, sayang kalau stuck di sini aja. Aku ngerasa seperti ada orang-orang yang duduk di sebelahku, pukpuk bahuku, dan bilang, "Kamu nggak sendirian. Kamu nggak akan pernah sendirian,".

Aku ingat pernah sedih banget karena suatu hal. Kemudian, aku dengerin lagu Fight Song, lupa sih ini di sekolah atau di asrama. Waktu sampai di lirik ini:

Hito wa hito jibun wa jibun (Orang lain ya orang lain, kamu ya kamu) Kurabeta jiten de maketeru (Kamu udah kalah begitu bandingin dirimu sama orang lain) Jibun ni makenai tsuyosa ga (Semangatmu untuk nggak pernah kalah sama diri sendiri) Donna kabe wo mo kowashiteku (Bakal meruntuhkan halangan apapun di depanmu)

Aku langsung nangis sejadi-jadinya.

Dan aku masih nangis kok sampai sekarang kalau dengerin bagian lirik itu, haha.

Lima om-om random ini memberiku hidup yang baru lewat lagu-lagu mereka. Hidup yang sepenuhnya milik diriku sendiri. Hidup yang gimana pun sucks-nya bakal tetap kunikmati.

Aku ingat ada tiga orang pelaku bully yang udah minta maaf langsung kepadaku. Dua orang di antara mereka pernah bertanya begini:

"Kok kamu bisa sih kuat banget, Nis?".

Aku nggak bisa jawab dengan proper pada saat itu. Namun, kalau diijinkan menjawab sekarang, aku akan menunjuk Arashi. It's all thanks to them. Lagu-lagu mereka bikin aku mau melanjutkan hidup. Lagu-lagu mereka bikin aku mau buat berjuang, meski rasanya tuh pengen memaki shibal setiap saat ya, haha.

Asli, aku akui banyak boyband yang secara visual, vokal, dan koreografinya jauh lebih baik dari Arashi. Secara standar hiburan, apalagi kalau merujuk Korea, mereka ga cakep-cakep amat.

Namun, apa yang bikin mereka juara buatku adalah liriknya yang menyentuh hati orang lain.

Lirik-lirik sederhana itulah yang menyelamatkan hidupku.

Started watching Kaito Royale and so far, I really like it. It's very short - the eps are only 25 mins. or so long - but it's fun!

A mysterious rich lady hires four very different thieves to do some as of yet unspecified thing for her, calling them Kaito Royale. The lead is Kamimura Rei (played by Matsuzaka Tori), who has the IQ of 180 and who also lost his memory a year ago. Said rich lady knows something about that and in exchange for Rei working for her, she promises to help him get his memory back.

The whole first ep is about the thieves trying to one up each other while stealing a jewel called Alexander's Tears. Kamimura wins, of course - by jumping from the gosh darn roof! But he also waits for the others downstairs, heh.

There are so many famous faces in this tiny drama: Matsuzaka Tori, Aiba Hiroki (who was Shinken Blue in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger!), Hwan Chang Sung (yes, him of 2PM!), Takezai Terunosuke etc.!

Also, it looks rather whumpy, too, since every time Rei remembers something, he gets a terrible headache, so 😋

ARASHI

Arashi est un groupe de chanteurs japonais. Il est composé de cinq membres : Masaki Aiba, Jun Matsumoto, Kazunari Ninomiya, Satoshi Ōno et Shō Sakurai. Le groupe s’est officiellement formé le 15 septembre 1999 à Honolulu, et a sorti son premier album le 3 novembre 1999.

J'ai également connu Jun Matsumoto dans de nombreux J-Drama et films.

In 1997, Aiba made his drama debut portraying Akira, one of the many children left to survive in a city under government lockdown after a mysterious disease wipes out all the adults, in the drama Bokura no Yūki: Miman Toshi ( ぼくらの勇気, Our Courage: Miman City). He portrayed a young man hovering over life and death due to a violent traffic accident. Īiba reunited with director Keiko Miyata ( 宮田 慶子, Miyata Keiko), who has been the director for his stage plays since 2005, and took on the lead role for Kimi to Miru Sen no Yume ( 君と見る千の夢, The Thousand Dreams I Dream With You), which ran from May 5 to 24, 2010.

In early 2008, Aiba was given the lead role of Colin Briggs in the stage play called Greenfingers, which was adapted from the movie of the same name. It was the first stage adaptation of the 1993 film Untamed Heart. In 2007, Aiba portrayed Adam, a shy young man with a heart defect, in Wasurerarenai Hito ( 忘れられない人, Unforgettable Person). In 2005, Aiba took up the lead role of Keiji Takashima ( 高島 啓治, Takashima Keiji), a naive but honest station attendant living in a world after a World War III nuclear war, in Tsubame no Iru Eki ( 燕のいる駅, A Station with Swallows). Acting career Stage Īiba began acting in a 1997 stage play based on an American coming of age film called Stand by Me with future bandmates Jun Matsumoto and Kazunari Ninomiya. Aiba also used to play the saxophone however, due to the collapse of one of his lungs in 2002, he was forced to stop playing due to the operation he had to undergo. For his solo song "Hello Goodbye", Aiba played the harmonica portion of the song throughout Arashi's Arashi Marks 2008 Dream-A-Live and Arashi Marks Arashi Around Asia 2008 concert tours. Wanting to play basketball with them, he sent in the application to join the talent agency himself, without exactly knowing what the agency specialized in until the day of auditions. Aiba was raised by his grandparents until he was four years old because his parents were busy running their newly opened Chinese cuisine restaurant then. He has a younger brother who is four years younger. Other than saying that he would wait, Tego did not hide his possessive eyes.Aiba was born in Hanamigawa, Chiba as the first child of his family. It was the first time in his life that he had ambitions other than swordsmanship. “Even though I knew at first that you didn’t see me as a real man”Īfter discovering his shocking secret, Aine felt her heart explode, as if she wanted to stay still. I’ve read novels that have been changed halfway, but this is the first novel where the character’s gender is changed. “At first I thought it was good that we became friends”Īine quickly swallowed the saliva down her neck. As of now, I’m pretending to believe he’s the most sophisticated manhood ever, but what is he supposed to be a real man? But perfect from bottom to top. So, I entrusted my body to nature, just like that, day by day.īut I don’t know when I became the fiancée of the female lead disguised as a male. What about my role? what should I do now?Ī.: Don’t stay here and mess with your brain.                         My “janiizu” watchlist of 2019

1. Boku to shippo to Kagurazaka - This was actually the only drama I saw with Arashi member during this year :/ But I am really glad I started the new year with this cute and fluffy drama. It is a warm story about the life of a sweet and caring vet. This role was a perfect match for sunshine Masaki Aiba. Definitely must-see if you are an animal lover like me. Aiba-chan and all the “shippos” melted my heart. I could “live” my childhood dream of being a vet thanks to this drama.

2. Laplace’s witch - probably the biggest disappointment? It is the trailer’s fault I had high hopes. Were it not for Sho ( who did not have enough screening time btw ) and my good friend who watched with me, I won't finish it. Everything seemed rushed, not explained properly. I could not grasp all that supernatural features in rushed revenge themed plot. And Suzu’s acting was so annoying, she ruined the mysterious aura of her character because of her poor and pathetic acting. Sho was really smexy in it but simply used as an eso to sell the movie... that’s it. 

3. One Million Stars Falling from the Sky -  pretty old drama from 2002 watched because I really loved the Korean remake and wanted to see the original version. It is a tragic story of two people who are suddenly connected with their forgotten past just to realise they never can be together. To be honest, I loved the Korean version more, because of better described and developed relationships and more thrilling and tragic features in the plot. Some characters were lame in Japanese version, to be honest. Also, Koreans put a better emphasis on “mind game” and plot twists. But Japanese one with Kimura was as heartbreaking as Korean one with Seo In Guk. 

4. Papadoru - Watched because Ryo is my fav from Kanjani and it is supposed to be legendary drama. But it ended up being a bit disappointing because of the boring plot and because chemistry among the lead couple was almost non-existent. Still, I enjoyed the relationship between children and Ryo. And little girl fangirling over Sho was my fav character  :D To be honest, this is really fitted drama mainly for hardcore Ryo’s fans and other people might be disappointed in it just like me.

5. Assassination classroom - Live-action remake of famous anime. Did not expect to enjoy it. I saw both movies, and both very pretty cool and entertaining. Nino did a great job with his voice acting and whole acting casting was great too. Masaki Suda and Yamada were outstanding in their roles. I really like the nice and inspiring message of both movies.

6. Killing for the prosecution - Idk if I am that stupid but I was so confused during this movie. The story followed too fast and I could not grasp it to fully understand what is happening. The characters were not introduced well I would say...But Nino’s and Kimura’s acting was really nailed. Maybe if I could read the book it would be easier to make connections. If you enjoy thrillers with juridical features give this movie try. 

7. Aka medaka - A beautiful retro biographic movie from the world of rakugo’s actors. I really enjoyed this movie because I learned something new about Japanese culture. The acting cast did an awesome job and portrayed their characters believable. Nino shined in his role of rookie rakugo actor and I was hooked to follow his life story to see how he mastered his dream job.

8. Eien no Nispa- Another biographical movie, but this time with Jun as the main character. It was a really beautiful and touching story about Hokkaido’s first inhabitants-Ainu people and the brave explorer Takeshiro Matsuura who mapped this beautiful Japanese island and fought for Ainu people’s rights. Again I learned a lot about Japanese history and geography. Jun portraying this difficult role was splendid, really hats off to him. 

9. Yuuzai- Ikuta simply never disappoints me. Another heavy-  psychological mystery thriller with him...hmm still did not sort my thoughts about it. For sure this movie is not to be seen just once to understand everything. There were just too many characters, their stories overlapped and too much was happening at the same time. The story was interesting and will make you hooked and wonder until the end. The acting was splendid, as expected of great actors Eita and Toma. Also supporting acting cast was awesome too. Such a pity I could not see it during the film festival in  Karlovy Vary. 

10. Ore no hanashi wa nagai- For me the most anticipated drama of the year. I usually don't watch ongoing dramas, but of course, Toma is the exception. At first, I was sceptical when I get to know it will be a family drama genre, worrying it will be boring, but it turned to be more fun than I expected. The whole “family” was really nice and funny. It seemed like you watch the real household like you are part of the family and together want to help find Mitsuru’s motivation to work. Toma put his whole being into his sassy and “i-know-it-all” character and sometimes he was so annoying yet clever want to kick his ass. But then he is so charming and realistic, one simply could not stop rooting for him and laugh at his jokes. This drama was a great relax for me after tiring week at uni. It made my winter friday evenings entertaining.
