Au where Desmond is a dragon, looking like an apple of eden, and going around through the times 'saving' things, aka changing Canon history so no good people die, like kadar/malik/sef/auditore family/Connor's tribe. He can speak telepathically, has some sort of breath attack (doesn't have to be fire, could be anything) and of course flies. And while he saves anyone, he is loyal to the 'protagonist' Assassin most (altair, ezio, Connor, etc)

It would be symbolic for Desmond to have a sunlight-type breath attack. It doesn’t spew actual fire but a beam of white light as bright as the sun and has the same temperature as the solar flare that he died to save the world from.

Desmond has no idea what the hell it is or how it works so he just calls it his ‘laser beam’ because it looks like a laser to him.

Also… you say dragon and the first two things I thought of are “oh god, Desmond’s hoard is gonna be all the important stuff in AC lore” and…

You know what would be funny?

If Desmond has this urge, this itch, this need so ingrained into his dragon self to…

Kidnap the AC protagonists.

Because dragons are well known to kidnap princesses and a brave knight going on an adventure to save these damsel in distresses are simply part of human culture by now.

Just imagine…

Malik, after having lost a rock-paper-scissor contest, having to be the one to ‘save’ Altaïr from the fierce dragon that destroyed Solomon’s Temple just to burrow deep into the strange place where the Ark had been, incinerating Robert and his lackies before they could kill Kadar then taking off with both the Ark and an angry Altaïr shouting to put him down or he’ll skin his lizard skin. When he get to the supposed dragon lair, Altaïr is just in the middle of the hoard, reading an old book, with a large dragon curled around him, purring like a cat… a large cat with a purr that makes the entire cave shake slightly. Malik just staring at Altaïr with a ‘why aren’t you trying to escape???’ and Altaïr just going “Malik, good, you’re here. I’ve found letters and journals that says Al Mualim has betrayed us. Here.” Altaïr throws a bag at him, making Desmond grumble in displeasure which he just rolls his eyes as he said “We’ll get you something shiny. I’m sure the Templars have something in Arsuf.” and Malik is just “WHAT???”.

And that is how the legend of a dragon underneath Masyaf is born. It is said it guards the most prized treasures and knowledge in the entire world.

… It should. The Levantine Brotherhood had to be careful in transferring all of Desmond’s hoard or they’d get an ear-piercing howl equivalent of “FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE!”

And the most annoying part is that they all know Desmond can talk to them telepathically. He just prefers to howl whenever he wants to be annoying.

The next one to be ‘kidnapped’ is Ezio and Ezio doesn’t need any dashing knight to save him. No, no. He got Desmond to just stay in the Sanctuary (which was made to be just as big as his home in Masyaf before because the Brotherhood had decided all secret lairs must have a basement as big as that… just in case the legendary dragon decides to visit or stay a while…) by promising to bring him as many shinies as he can.

Claudia is his favorite Auditore though because she figured a dragon would be a better guard for their money than a bank. Also, Desmond is okay with getting funds for any reconstructions or buildings Ezio wants to do because Ezio gives him more shinies which meant that they also have extra emergency money if they needed it.

And he managed to destroy the Papal Army in a matter of minutes. Sure, that meant Rome was left defenseless and the Borgias became known as the family that got Rome destroyed and sacked but… weeellll… at least Monteriggioni later became an independent state which is nice?

Edward found him… sorta by accident. He heard the tales of the legendary golden white dragon, of course. Of how it hoards the greatest most priceless riches in the entire world. But, by his time, everyone believed it to be a legend. Only those coming from Italy and Levant truly believed the legend. But Edward did ‘find’ a certain journal that talks about it from the headquarters of the Assassins that Mary took him to. So he went out to find this supposed dragon hoard and… well… he got captured on the way to the hoard.

In his damn ship no less.

The dragon just swooped right in and taken Edward from the helm, much to the surprise of his crew.

Adéwalé was the only one of his crew that had the heart to try and find him. He found Edward pinned to a very large hoard by one huge dragon hand and Adéwalé realized what Edward had been doing when he heard, “Alright, alright! I’m sorry! I won’t try to pocket anything anymore! Promise! Yes, I know this is my third promise today but I’m serious this time!”

Shay had heard the legends of the dragon but never saw it. Until Lisbon… When he got to the location where the POE was… the dragon was there, curled around it.

It told him that this POE was unstable and touching it would cause an earthquake that would destroy whatever was above them and Shay just went…

Alrighty then. He isn’t going to argue with the dragon of legends that can talk directly to his mind.

If Achilles still wants to take the POE, he can take it himself.

Achilles heard and believed the stories of the dragon, of course, so if the dragon says that then yeah… better order Shay to find all the other POEs in the manuscript and make sure they remain untouched for as long as possible then.

Desmond chills in the Grand Temple during Ratonhnhaké:ton’s time. His laser beam incinerates everything but does not have to give out any kind of flame at all so he can use it without worrying about accidentally causing forest fires which is nice. Desmond ‘kidnapped’ Ratonhnhaké:ton when he was a child but he let him go anyway so Ratonhnhaké:ton just started visiting him before he could kidnap him. The villagers believe that this means Ratonhnhaké:ton has been chosen by the dragon and it’s a chill dragon that’s only main problem is it likes to hoard feathers for some reason and that agitates all the other birds in the area.

Charles Lee… Charles Lee didn’t live too long in this one.

Also, Ratonhnhaké:ton doesn’t need a ship. He has a dragon!

Arno got captured by the dragon early on. The most embarrassing part was that the ‘knight’ who came to rescue him?

The pretty redhaired de la Serre girl he didn’t even know the name of.

And. It. Kept. Happening.

It’s gotten to the point that his father would check the dragon’s liar first if he can’t find his son and Uncle Pierre has started calling him ‘dragon bait’. He honestly preferred being called pisspot.

“Maybe this time you can finally ask her what her name is.”

“Shut up, Desmond.”

Jayadeep had to be the one to ‘save’ Jacob and Evie from the dragon that ‘kidnapped’ them. He knew the dragon had a liar underneath London and Henry had actually talked to the dragon twice now. He liked to be called Desmond and he was the same dragon as the one in the legends so he thought it wouldn’t take a long time for him to ask Desmond to give the twins back.

Unfortunately…

“Please, Evie, we need to go-”

“Just a few more minutes!” (gasp) “This is the first edition of the-”

“I found the rum! Lots of it! Hey, Desmond, can you get drunk?!”

“And this is the actual journal of Leonardo da Vinci, best known as an ally of our Brotherhood and- oh. Oh. Oooohhh… there’s a lot of nude sketches of a man in this one.”

“Where?! Trade you for a casket of rum?!”

“I thought you wanted to get Desmond drunk?”

“Right! Come on, Desmond. Let’s try and see if you can get drunk!”

Jayadeep sighed and left the hoard.

She had a child when she was young but didn't want the child to be a target for assasination so she devised a plan to hide her existance from everyone, including the child's father, who she's STILL IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH 16 YEARS LATER. She was a MILF for me before I knew what a MILF was. She survived an assasination attempt and immediatly hired the assasin as her bodyguard. She got tired of ruling and pretended that a different assasination attempt succeded, after using a double that died in this attack, who she made sure was the new assasin's WIFE. she has an information network of spies called "kittens" so she is always informed on all matters. since the dragon she's partnered with is a giant fluffy cat, it's entirely ambiguous whether or not they are literal cats or not. she's no stranger to manipulating both strangers and family alike to make a situation more favorable for her and to keep herself out of debt to others. also she runs a near exclusive weapon trade on guns. like she is one of the only people in the world who is able to make guns. also she does the OOOOOHOHOHOHO laugh when she starts firing her minigun

"- princess and 3rd eldest scion (out of 8 children) of her kingdom, she also oversees her own realm called chanzelia that was a bum fuck backwater but she singlehandedly turned it into one of the most prosperous and technologically advanced cities in the kingdom - has a bunch of ""kittens"" (spies) that serve as her network to know any and all information. her kittens never get caught - her personality -- she's very cunning and charismatic and secretly manipulates people/situations to her own advantage -- but never out of malice really. she cares about the others around her genuinely but does so in a very roundabout and clever way. - she's a lead innovator in reviving ancient technology (which was more technologically advanced than the present) like guns. she has her own gatling gun that is pink and awesome and she used it to bail the party out of jail and it was epic she was shooting pink lasers all over the place - owns and created a giant landship called the ""gran fiore"" that can also serve as a submarine and can survive magic conditions like Divine Dark Fog That No Mortal Should Be Able To Enter"

What COULDN'T I say about Chelle? She is a princess that rules country thats situated on top of a moving landship, which is entirely because she specializes in blackmailing others to get what she wants. She has a network of spies she calls her "kittens" - because her partner, Cait Sith, is a cat-dragon - that have dug up so much information on people that she uses against them that they're known world wide. Her introduction to the story consisted of her saying she would help her brother, the protagonist, in fighting a war, and then she turned around and claimed that it was all a lie, leading them deep onto old ruins to kill them with magical robots. THEN when he WON, she turned around AGAIN and said it was all a very elaborate ruse. She does this like two entirely separate times. She is the sole dealer of Fantasy Magic Guns on the entire continent. Her main weapon is a machine gun with neon pink bullets. She's even bisexual.

Fun fact: Look at Wukong's little blue boy scout cape in the flashback :) yeah it's blue, some unexpected red/blue duo coding with Macky there. AND the one he has in the future is red. In fact, one might even say it's the exact same one Macky was wearing. Gee, wonder what happened there. Also the him!! the white horse dragon Ao Lie who is unexpectedly really derpy and OWO UWU for someone we thought was going to be a grumpy old man at first XD I was just going "haha very Macaque of you Mei" when she was saying "you're nothing!" @/herself kind of in relation to other people also being if so and so expectation isn't met. Y'know *jazz hands towards The Winning Side again* we do say Mei and MK are just ShadowPeach but healthier. but the hero and the warrior- were like...the sea and sky...? Macky does that too......my sincerest apologies to hero!Mei truthers, which could still be very valid and sure was at the start + MK having a bit of Macky's fighting style someone said once, they do swap and share traits a lot but I get the sneaaaaaky feeling we're in for a ShadowPeach 2.0 sometimes. Tang finding Mo is so cute and silly, and Macky is so stressed and tense you can hear it in his voice...hehe, what are all those options btw and did they have anything to do with Point B aka your possible death....whatdya do Mac? If option "Wukong is a traitor" isn't what you subscribe to. Then perhaps its "Wukong is an unwilling participant" cue the theory that Macky attacked Tripitaka and gang bc well, he did it in JTTW anyways but we're expecting the reasons to be different. But there's an extra layer to why he would, almost like *gets dragged off stage* anyways. Tang's face when he realizes which part of the story the magic river water is XD and then we flash to, I think Chang'e floating to the moon? Nezha's fight against that one dragon oh no so they're keeping that plot line, I mean of course they are. Nezha's story is so dark tho, its def implied they're keeping the whole thing I think. Not and LBD jumpscare...I thought that was Princess Iron Fan on my first watch whoops. but hello??? She was part of the Celestial Realm at first??? HMMMMM. well that definitely doesn't make things all the more suspicious. It's kind of funny how much they talk about Monkey King being MK's dad bc the writers are fully aware of what the fandom might think, or was thinking before anyways, but they confirmed it on twitter that's not the case. I just checked ep 6 and its got a nice fun cliffhanger for you to chew on. build up expectations and ideas.

This time we're covering my most current Campaigns OC and some older TTRPG OCs as well as one Text based roleplay OC. I figure this is the most fun way to celebrate Lesbian Visibility Week. Flora Feral aka Twister

Flora is a fun OC in that she was based off of a character from my Webcomic Wish from an early issue I never got to release and I reenvisioned the concept for the cancelled podcast I was on Super Streets. Since then she's been slightly tweaked again a few times as she has gone to slightly different settings since Super Streets cancelation and changes in the people that could be in her life. She was a doomed playbook in Masks so she has the associated tropes although those existed in the OG version of the OC which was created before Masks: The Next Generation was even published. Flora Feral is possessed by the goddess Sorra, a powerful elder goddess forgotten to history whom her mother sacrificed her too after finding out she was trans and wanting nothing to do with her. Sorra killed her mother in turn but granted the family the fortune that was her end of the bargain. Flora died but came back perhaps thanks to Sorra or perhaps thanks to her own will regardless she is slowly being consumed by Sorra, every part of her spirit and herself will one day be Sorra and there will be no Flora left at all. With her limited time she tries to hold Sorra back from killing people and to make the world a better place even knowing every time she uses her powers it brings her own demise ever closer. Flora lost her girlfriend getting visions of Sorra killing her if they remained together she broke up with her and had been a solo act since even if she cares deeply for people she worries about how Sorra may hurt them.

Mystic Cutie L aka Mara

Mara is from my most active and recent campaign in the Setting Hope At Art's End, a Setting that you may be able to play yourself in the next Thirsty Sword Lesbians expansion. Mara is a magical girl from the world of Mystic Cutie Sailor L. She's the leading lady and when her world was being altered by the Mouse Princess to turn into the "family friendly" Sandwich Squad her girlfriends in a moment of clarity gathered their power up to set her free by launching her into another world and send her into Art's End. Loaded with the trauma of being turned into "Cutie lettuce" Mara attempted to pantomime acting like her old self but she had a deep rage, sorrow and more she felt would manifest when fighting agents of The Mouse Princess. Mara does her best to keep it together but until she saved her world she was really struggling to make connections always feeling like she shouldn't feel real joy when her girlfriends were suffering in their own world forced to act out a shame of a life. She's now happily shifted from the Trickster playbook over to The Matriarch and it was really fun to explore a take on the Trickster that actually worked for me since normally it was one of my least favorite conflicts to play.

Fearless aka Maria, Elena and Sapphire

Coming from a Masks Campaign Fearless is an adaption of some concepts from a comic I have had on the back burner for a long time Lipstick. The Reformed Fearless was made up of two girls fused together and their persona that formed between the two of them as their own person. Maria gave up her life of crime to make it where Elena and Sapphire wouldn't need to have to deal with the consquences of her actions but also to help her crush EliZe the elder goddess live her dream of being a super hero. They joined a team of teen super heroes and helped fight against the wild forces attacking the city from alien dragons to evil companies they dealt with it all. All the while being one of the most chaotic elements on the team always willing to challenge what was good or evil. Maria dated a teenage reincarnation of Morgan Le Fey, the fearless trio had a big polycule, their was time travel and all sorts of good stuff between the three. As they grew together they eventually decided to leave the team behind to open up a bakery Elena wanted to do and for them to return to a life of being gay doing crime now that they've dealt with the system more and saw all of it's flaws. They do keep up friendly relationships with several former team members including becoming the arch enemy of one of their best friends but like in a fun way, almost romantic.

Xena and Seraphina Aka Dreamer and Loki

Another set of OCs I used in a Masks campaign brings in Xena and Seraphina. Xena was The Brain and Seraphina was The Legacy. I played both at the same time unable to pick between the two I simply tied the pair together. Xena and Seraphina are girlfriends who love each other a lot. Xena was kidnapped by the queen of nightmares and while she was kidnapped for her genius mind Seraphina become Loki to try and save her but in the end was still unable to break into the realm of Nightmares. Xena escaped Nightmare and the pair were reunited becoming super heroes as they attempted to defeat an company that was at odds with nightmare too. The pair did their best to play both sides along with their friends eventually managing to take both forces out. The two both fell for other women but remained together in a polyamarous relationship. The two can be a bit co-dependent at first but as they recovered from their trauma they learned to count on the others alot more.

Azucar Scamsly Glasc

Azucar isn't from any particular campaign but instead if an OC that comes from a League Of Legends inspired written roleplay. She is my problematic baby girl, my sweet terrible child. Azucar is Renata Glasc's girlfriend but to keep it under cover she's technically adopted by her and simply a musical talent she is using to earn revenue across Runeterra but particularly from the Piltovens. She is part of a found family of swindlers originally intending to just scam some money from Renata with her job singing at a Zaunite club the two came to mutually respect each other as they both one uped each other in a mental battle. Azucar might have been able to match Renata at wits but she is 100% on her team and devoted to her goals happily submissive to her dommy girlfriend. She's always down to do a murder, manipulate people, put on a role or a character and really just mess around with folks. She is part Fairy but hides that part of herself since people don't believe Fairies are even real but her powers prove they very much are. Azucar has been through the ringer living life as a poor zonite orphan and she's seen the high life of Piltover being the best friend to one of the richest people in Piltover. Azucar refuses to live a life being treated like dirt and she'll do whatever it takes to live the kind of life she wants. Renata puts that into a cause she can believe in, burning down Piltover which puts her in an angsty situation with her best friend and long time crush. It is really fun to really root her in the setting and explore the characters and world that will likely never really get explored to their fullest.

Concerning Elanor's antics in Skyrim

Hopefully a little post for me to finally write down some notable events in Elanor's unending struggle in making life in Skyrim somehow worse.

The year is 4E 201. The cart is rolling towards Helgen. Ralof, Lokir an Ulfric have to deal with snoring and absolutely shitfaced Thalmor Justiciar sleeping in the same cart. Say hi to Elanor, age ~110 and her questionable life choices.

- And... who are you? - Oh, I am here for the execution. To watch it, I mean. Although with a headache like this, maybe it would be easier to just chop the whole thing off, you know?

Let it be known, that Elanor should be held responsible for at least half of property damage and casualties in Helgen, because half-drunk is not the proper state to sling around destro spells.

She initially goes to Whiterun just to hitch a ride to Solitude, taking a few detours on the way, naturally, while Delphine runs her own investigation into dragon issues, frustrated that someone has already raided Bleak Falls Barrow. And someone with a frustratingly familiar "woe, ton of atronachs and a chain lightning be upon ye" approach to problems.

Mostly sober now and hungry for a rematch Elanor jumps on a chance to join Irileth's dragon hunt, subsequently devouring her first dragon soul.

A rare moral W for Elanor is stopping vandalizing Talos' statue to give a few coins to Lucia and hear her story. Naturally proceeds to casually offer to go stab her aunt and uncle so the kid can have her farm back, taking a moral L for further traumatizing the child. Evens out by borderline bullying Balgruuf into giving her Breezehome so Lucia and Brenuin can move in there. Leaves Whiterun without elaborating.

Figures it won't take too long to check this out and ventures to High Hrothgar, naturally summoning a dremora lord to princess carry her up the mountain.

Actually has a lot of fun learning funny shouty language and being obnoxious yellow gremlin. Greybeards and their young acolytes less so, but they manage. She particularly aggravates one of their most promising pupils, Eivor.

This leads to him attempting to get the Horn in the Ustengrav before Elanor can get there and coincidentially running into Delphine there and them teaming up for the time being. Elanor meanwhile doing a very important sidequesting and terrorizing local populace.

Subsequently, Elanor also forgets about the whole Horn thing after getting yelled at by Elenwen (via letter) and summoned back to the Embassy to talk about the whole dragon problem. Finds her in the middle of some daedric quest aka "Oh, you are Sheo's kid, right? Can you help me a bit out there?"

Upon making it to the Embassy shows up exactly in time for another one of Elenwen's parties. While partying takes another rare moral W by disposing of Erikur. Immediatelly proceeds to take a ton of faction-typical moral Ls for what she does to get information on Esbern out of Etienne. Also gets roped into figuring out the whole Potema thing.

After gifting Potema (bound to the skull) to Elisif, Elanor proceeds to head for the Riften where the hunt for the Blades starts. Very fun and enriching! She hasn't felt that alive since the Great War! Certainly being very normal! Surely not terrorizing and driving her quarry borderline mad with the lack of sleep and constant attacks.

Eventually makes it to the Sky Haven Temple, gets run through by Delphine's katanas, excitedly asks if dear worstie would want those back or if she can keep them for the collection. Yes, she has a collection.

Gets the Horn from Eivor, finally remembers that she is supposed to bring it back to yelling grandpas. Takes a metaphorical selfie in front of Alduin's Wall and leaves to do just that. As a result gets yet again insulted by people giving her the same title as tiber fucking septim, but on the bright side of things - she gets to meet Paarthurnax. Imprints on him like a sad lost duckling.

Dragon problems continue to escalate while Elanor is trying to dig up an Elder Scroll somewhere. Along the way takes part in the College questline, annoys Psijics and takes another rare moral W by being actually decent to college kids. Dangerously unhinged, but decent.

"Hey, kid, do you know how to summon atronachs that explode? No? Do you want to?"

After acquiring the Scroll Elanor actually remembers to go to Paarthurnax with it and finds out she can't actually perform Dragonrend as the concept of mortality is, funnily enough, alien to a functionally immortal being. Still proceeds to beat Alduin to a stalemate using her cool new shouts and good old reliable "enough magic firepower to level a city" approach.

Peace talks? Gloriously failed.

Joins the Civil War on the side of the Legion, but causes so much problems Ulfric should have probably taken her on the payroll. In any case, eventually Whiterun's position is secure enough so Balgruuf agrees to the whole "capture the dragon" plan.

Final showdown with Alduin happens, the crisis averted, the dragons chill down a bit, Elanor goes back to being a menace, gets drunk with Sanguine to celebrate, ends up in Cindhna Mine as a result, you know, the typical stuff. Civil War rages on...

Dawnguard: Elanor joins the side of Dawnguard, offers Serana to beat up both Harkon and Molag Bal if it would cheer her up, casually drops the fact of being an artificially created "godling" in the conversation, adores her new cool bow. Promises to figure out some loophole to get Durnie out of Soul Cairn permanently.

Actually gets her "parents" to join her and in fact beat Molag Bal up. Cathartic experience.

Dragonborn: oh no, worsties are fighting. Elanor is absolutely head over heel about the prospect of finally fighting someone strong again, and ends up draggin Miraak back to the Nirn after Mora tries to pull a sneaky.

"Hey, maybe I should start a cult too, you know? I am cool and basically a goddess in the flesh, I deserve one"

The Dragon Cult 2: Electric Boogaloo. Now comes in girlboss.

A few years later Elanor is mostly known as Thurrahdaal, the Winged Majesty, and Paarthurnax is doing his damned best to keep her at least somewhat sensible. Somewhat succeeds. Sometimes it requires whacking her on the head with a wing or a tail, while in private.

Eventually, a century or so later, our horrible meow meow embraces the whole Alduin thing and devours this particular timeline, abusing her privileges to keep her horrible bf (Ancano, also the head priest of her fun little cult) around.

Magical summer: Medea

MEDEA

Category: Greek mythology

Medea is, alongside Circe, one of the two most famous witches (or sorceress) of all of Greek mythology, being involved in the stories of two of Greek’s most famous heroes – and the Circe/Medea relationship isn’t just a thematic one, as they are also supposed to be from the same family! And of course, both also became heavily talked about, discussed and reinterpreted figures from the Renaissance up to this day. After doing Circe and Hecate, I had to complete the trio.

I) The main story

Now, when it comes to Medea there is a “common” or “main” version. Aka the most popular and well-known version of her story, based on two classics works of Ancient Greece: Euripides’ tragedy “Medea” (from the 5th century before current era) and the epic poem “Argonautica” written by Apollonius Rhodius two centuries later.

Medea is the princess of Colchis (a country on the shores of the Black Sea), daughter of the king Aeëtes (who also happens to be Circe’s brother, making Medea both Circe’s niece and the granddaughter of Helios the sun-god). At one point, a hero named Jason arrives with his crew, the Argonauts, on their ship, the Argos: they are on a quest to obtain the Golden Fleece, a magical fleece of a golden ram that brings wealth and prosperity to whoever owns it. The Fleece is currently the property of the king, who is not ready to part away with it, so he agrees to give it to the hero on the condition that he succeeds at ploughing a field and planting dragon teeth in it. Seems quite easy, but Medea, the king’s daughter, warns Jason of the upcoming dangers: for the beasts of burden are savage fire-breathing bulls, and the dragon teeth once planted will summon a bloodthirsty army of murderous soldiers. But Medea offers Jason her help (as she is a sorceress well-versed in magical crafts, like her aunt) in exchange for his love: she herself had fallen in love with him at first sight. Jason agrees to love Medea, and she offers him several advice and helps (for example he gives him an unguent that will protect him from the bulls’ fire, and she advices him to throw a big rock in the middle of the summoned army so that they would think one of their own attacked and slaughter each other). Despite succeeding, the king still refuses to give Jason the Fleece, so Medea helps once more: the Fleece is kept by a fearsome dragon, so she uses her magic to put it to sleep so that Jason could steal it, and then they elope together on his ship far away from Colchis. The king, discovering the theft, isn’t ready to give up, and sends his own army of ships after them… And Medea decides there is only one way to stop her father. You see, she took alongside her on the ship her little brother, Absyrtos. Well time to put him to good use! She kills him, chops his body into pieces and throws them in the sea : Aeëtes is forced to stop his ships so that he can pick up every piece of his son’s corpse to give him a proper burial.

Back at Jason’s home country, the hero discovers that his treacherous uncle, Pelias king of Iolcos, killed his brother, aka Jason’s father (who he had already stolen the right to the throne from). In his anger, Jason asks Medea to help him to get revenge on the wicked king. She does so by gathering Pelias daughter and showing them she knows a magic ritual that can bring back youth to the old: she takes an old ram, kills it and cuts it into pieces, throws the bits into a boiling cauldron filled with special herbs, recites a few magic words, and a young lamb springs out of the cauldron. The impressed princesses, desperate to please their aging father who keeps wishing he could be young again, decide to take Medea’s offer: they take her magical herbs, secretly kill their father and perform the gruesome ritual… But this time, nothing happens. It doesn’t work. The princesses just killed their father.

Jason got his revenge, but of course such a crime doesn’ go unnoticed: the princesses denounce Medea’s trick and magic, and she and Jason are both banished from Iolcos. The couple takes refuge in another kingdom, Corinth, and become best friends with its king, Creon. They settle there and live peacefully for a few years: Medea has two sons with Jason. But Jason ends up falling in love with the pretty daughter of Creon, the princess Creusa. The king is much too happy of this, as he has no male heir : so he and Jason organize Creusa’s wedding, and Jason basically divorces Medea. Rejected by the man for which she betrayed her father, fled her country and killed her brother, the sorceress’ angered is fueled by the Corinthians dislike of her as a “foreign witch” – they banished her with her children out of the city. Filled with pain and wrath, Medea takes her revenge by sending Creusa a magic dress that bursts into flames the moment she puts it on. The magical fire also burns the king, that was trying to help his daughter, and finally destroys the palace. In her anger that turns into madness, Medea ends up killing her two sons – a last way to spurn Jason – before fleeing.

Medea takes refuge at the palace of the king of Athens, Aegeus. The king had no son, and Medea promised him one if he married her: he did, and she promptly gave birth to a child, Medos. However later Theseus, the long-lost son of Aegeus, arrives at the court. Hopefully for Medea Aegeus and Theseus don’t immediately recognize each other, so to secure her own son’s royal future, she convinces her husband that the newcomer at the court is an usurper trying to kill him. She gives Aegeus a poisoned cup of wine that in turn he should give Theseus during a feast: Medea wants to kill the hero by proxy. But at the last minute Aegeus recognizes his son and refuses to poison him. Medea then invokes a fiery chariot driven by giant snakes/small dragons (a gift from her grandfather Helios), and flees Athens while taking with her both her son and half of the royal treasure. She then returned to her homeland, Colchis, only to find that her father had been killed and dethroned by another man – which she promptly kill, to give back the power to her father. She then lived with her son in Colchis and… we don’t know more.

 II) The other stories

The version of Medea’s tale depicted above is just the more popular and well-known, but given the nature of Ancient Greek literature and myths, there are many more variations – especially older versions of the tale with some significant changes.

For example Hesiod (one of the two oldest writers of Greek mythology alongside Homer) spoke of Medea, but for him she wasn’t a human sorceress as she would later be known – rather she was an immortal, just like her aunt Circe. In Hesiod’s tale, Medea also had no particular role to play in the quest of the Golden Fleece, though she is still seen as the wife Jason got there and fled with. And past Pelias’ death, Hesiod says no more: his story stops at this point, and presumably Jason and Medea lived happily together at Iolcos (plus, in Hesiod’s version the child Medos actually is Jason’s).

Two other writers from the time of Homer (but less known) also offer different versions of Medea’s tale. Eumelos of Corinth writes, in his “Corinthiacs”, that the town of Corinth was given to his son Aeëtes as a gift – but Aeëtes rather lets his daughter Medea and his son-in-law directly rule over the city as queen and king. In this story, the two children of Medea die due to her own fault: in the temple of Hera, she tried to cast a spell that would make her children immortal (the same way she got her immortality through her divine ascendance), but it fails, leading to their death – and the children’s death leads to her separation with Jason, the latter returning at Iolcos from which they came from. Another writer of Homer’s era, Creophylos of Samos, rather writes that while Medea did murder Creon, the death of her children wasn’t from her hands – it was rather the Corinthians who were outraged at the murder of their king, and formed a mob that killed the children. This very old version of the tale ironically reappears in quite late texts from the end of the Ancient Greek civilization, where the story is mixed with the “mainstream” one : as in, after Creon’s murder, the Corinthians rebel against Medea’s claim to the throne, as they refuse to be governed by A) a woman B) a foreigner C) a witch, and despite Medea hiding in Hera’s temple to save herself from the mob, the angry citizens kill all fourteen children of the witch (seven boys and seven girls). Hera, angered by this sacrilege, then sent the plague to punish the city. This legend was supposedly explaining why every year in Corinth fourteen youths, seven boys and seven girls, had to serve at the temple of Hera for a year.

I had to cut a bit short because Medea is one big slice of Greek mythology's cake, and I don't want to go too much in depth in the character given the "Magical summer" series is just a bunch of introductions. But Medea always was, even in Ancient Greece, a heavily debated and talked about character. A lot of modern and feminist depictions of Medea represent her under a more positive light instead of a villainous one: she was rejected by the husband she sacrificed everything for ; she is a woman of power in a male-dominated world that precisely fears women of power, she is a victim of strong xenophobia that maybe led to her children's death... But these interpretations are to be fair nothing new and already back then people talked about whether Medea should be a hateful or pitiful figure. She is the figure of the "woman's scorned", the embodiment of the woman's vengeance, and as a result there could be some sympathy for her. She also is often depicted as the embodiment of "passions" in what they have of the most destructive and dangerous, a character suffering from the "excess" of her own emotions and temperaments, as she lets herself be overwhelmed by her anger and sadness so much she doesn't just destroy the ones who brought her harm, but also her own children (some versions do depict her expressing an intense regret after the murder, and behaving in a sort of mad rage when killing her sons). But this empathy with Medea is always an ambiguous and cautious one - because even in her most positive depictions, Medea stays a very dangerous figure, and there is a good reason she was seen as a villain for so long. After all, the method she uses to destroy Pelias is not just cunning but also horrifying and traumatizing ; she was willing to betray her father and country for a man she fell in love with despite barely meeting ; and her love for Jason led her to actually MURDER HER OWN LITTLE BROTHER to save her lover, plus there's the whole "wicked stepmother and poisoner-thief" role she has in Theseus' story. Some modern reinterpretations like to argue that Medea might have been a woman entirely manipulated by Jason who exploited her love and magic, and ditched her when he didn't need her anymore... but the reverse interpretation is just as valid: Jason might have fallen in love and accepted gladly the help of Medea, only to realize that her methods were too gruesome and that she was too murderous of a woman for him to spend the rest of his days with.

Fury Of The Wyvern: Story Information

-Information-

~Summary~

Princess Charlotte Riwen of the Wriwen Kingdom has been set up for marriage by her stepmother’s request, even though the twenty-year-old princess was against this idea since she was already seeing somebody close to her, especially during her time of need. Tehilah, Charlotte’s bodyguard, and girlfriend were also against this idea since she and the princess were already in a secret relationship. Rapheil was initially against the idea, but the Queen, Elisa, had changed his mind since the Kingdom could use strong allies by marrying off the princess to a powerful Kingdom.

~Characters~

-Main Characters-

Princess Charlotte Riwen - Princess Charlotte is the only child of King Rapheil and the late Queen, Maria, being the stepdaughter of the stepdaughter of Elisa. She is Tehilah Wynter’s girlfriend, even though their relationship is a secret.

Tehilah Wynter - Tehilah Tae Wynter is an Ice Demon that came from the Undead Kingdom aka the Underworld, she disguises herself as a human to join the ranks of the humans, becoming Princess Charlotte’s bodyguard and soon becoming her love interest.

-Manor Characters-

King Rapheil - King Rapheil is the King of The Wriwen Kingdom, Husband of the late Queen, Maria, current Husband of Queen Elisa. He is Princess Charlotte’s father, whom he raised by himself before he remarried Elisa. He is the rider of Varian, a female Wyvern that had hatchlings that belonged to Princess Charlotte.

Former Queen Maria - Queen Maria the former Queen Of the Wriwen Kingdom, passed away from a deadly illness, leaving behind her husband, King Rapheil, and their daughter, Princess Charlotte. Her Gravestone is located in the Castle’s Catacombs, which is right beside the castle itself.

Current Queen Elisa - Queen Elisa is the current Queen of Wriwen, being the second wife of King Rapheil, and becoming Charlotte’s stepmother.

King Silas F’infar - King Silas is the King of the Vertica Kingdom, being the Husband of Queen Thana and father of Lazarus F’infar. He and his wife are very supportive of their son’s choices if he doesn’t wish to get married to someone he doesn’t know very well.

Queen Thana F’infar - Queen Thana is the Queen of the Vertica Kingdom, being the wife of King F’infar and mother of Lazarus F’infar. Like her husband, she is very supportive of her son’s choices.

Caspara F’infar - Caspara Saiya F’infar was once the princess of the Vertica Kingdom, however, she refused to be the heir to the throne. She’s the older sister of Lazarus and the first daughter of Thana and Silas. She became a pirate captain of the Hydra Pirates, she’s also close friends with Araxie.

Araxie T’poral - Araxie Taila T’poral is a princess Mermaid that’s from the Sea Kingdom, she can take the form of a human on Land due to a special gem that gives her and her Kingdom the ability to turn into humans for special gatherings.

Lazarus F’infar - Lazarus Ryan F’infar is the prince of the Vertica Kingdom, a kingdom of dragons and humans, and Princess Charlotte's cousin. He is the romantic love interest of Araxie.

-Kingdom(s)-

The Wriwen Kingdom - The Wriwen Kingdom is filled with Wyverns that are somewhat guardians of the Kingdom, even though the knights of Wriwen would ride them into battle or patrol the sky for any surprise attack(s). The Kingdom is also well hidden in the forest while placed near a mountain, where the wyverns rest.

Kings + Queens - Kings and Queens wear gold with the lightest blue armband that’s wrapped around their forearms or sometimes they can be jewelry just as Rings, Necklaces, or Headpieces.

Color: Gold Jewelry with the lightest Blue gem

Princesses + Princess- Like Kings and Queens, the Princess(ess) and Prince(s) wear light blue forearm bands or any type of jewelry they desire.

Color: Silver Jewelry with a light blue gem.

Loyal Guards, Body Guards, Knights - Loyal Guards, Body Guards, and Knights share the same color jewelry and gem color of bronze and dark blue gems.

Color: Bronze Jewelry with Dark Blue gems.

Citizens - Citizens wear white jewelry with the darkest deep blue

The Sea Kingdom - The Sea Kingdom is the Mermaid Kingdom, and the current Princess is Araxie T’poral. The Kingdom itself has guards that swim to patrol the surrounding area, along with sharks swimming alongside them since the sharks are protectors of the sea Kingdom.

The Vertica Kingdom - The Vertica Kingdom is like the Wriwen Kingdom, except the Vertica has dragons that the knights, and the royal family ride and coexist with.

-Main Creatures-

Wyverns - Wyverns are bipedal dragon-like creatures, using their wings and their two feet to support their body, having spikes on their wings and a barbed tail, and having some type of elements to their breaths (depending on their type, poison, fire, etc). The Wyverns belong to the Kingdom of Wyverns (Nickname for The Wriwen Kingdom), being part of a kingdom and co-existing with humans.

Dragons - Like their Wyvern cousins, the dragons also co-exist with humans in their kingdom, however, unlike the Wyverns, the dragons are on all four legs, having wings on their backs. Dragons do have different elements, just like Wyverns do.

Demons - Demons are creatures of hell, even though some of the demons do take human form to give a human false sense of security when they’re in the human world, there’s only one demon that co-exists with humans and that is Tehilah.

Vampires - Vampires are night-time creatures, but they mostly use a special stone that keeps them from turning into ashes during the daytime. They want to make a peace treaty with the Wyvern Kingdom by marrying the prince to the princess, to have a respectful union between them and the Wyvern Kingdom.

Mermaid and Merman - Mermaids and Merman are aquatic creatures with the body of a human (top half) and a fishtail (bottom), they live in the Sea Kingdom that is ruled by the Current King and Queen, alongside their daughter, Princess Araxie.

~Known Wyverns~

Varian - Varian is King Rapheil’s mount and the mother of Azure, Blaze, Nuri, and Gale. She is a female lighting wyvern.

Azure - Azure is a blue and white female lighting wyvern, she is the hatchling of Varian and an unknown male wyvern, she and her siblings imprinted on Charlotte when they hatched.

Blaze - Blaze is a red and black male fire wyvern, he is the second hatchling of Varian and an unknown male Wyvern, he and his siblings imprinted on Charlotte when they hatched.

Nuri - Nuri is a light blue and white female water wyvern, she is the hatchling of Varian and an unknown male wyvern, she and her siblings imprinted on Charlotte when they hatched.

Gale - Gale is an all-white male ice wyvern, he is the second hatchling of Varian and an unknown male Wyvern, he and his siblings imprinted on Charlotte when they hatched.

~Known Dragons~

Levina - Levina is a female fire dragon, she is the mate of Draco and mother of Tempest and Meleydias, she is the mount of King Silas F’infar

Draco - Draco is a male lighting dragon, he is the mate of Levina and father of Tempest and Meleydias, and he is the amount of Queen Thana F’infar.

Tempest - Tempest is a dark blue, white, and gold female fire dragon, being the only hatchling of Levina and Draco, she is the mount of Lazarus F’infar.

Meleydias - Meleydias is a dark red dragoness with golden horns, a female fire dragon like her mother and sister. She’s the eldest hatchling of Draco and Levina while being the oldest sister of Tempest.

➳Mondo and his gang are a group of rough adventurers who stop by Chihiro's town (maybe Dragon Bridge) one day and bumps into him, who then agree to teach him how to fight and get stronger

➳Kiyotaka lives in Solitude and is apart of the city guard and occasionally bumps into Mondo every so often (at first it was rivalry then it turned to friendship then possibly romance-)

➳Hifumi is a mage at the College of Winterhold and writes books (probably fanfiction) in his free time

➳Celeste is a vampire lord in Volkihar Court and regularly gambles with mortals for their gold and usually drinks their blood afterwards

➳Sakura is a very powerful adventurer who specifically helps cities and towns from bandit attacks and robberies and more

➳Junko is apart of the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, maybe Volkihar Court, and is the champion for every single daedra (the only reason is to cause chaos)

➳Hajime is just a citizen in one of the towns/cities and somehow gets pulled into the adventure

➳Fuyuhiko is a powerful member among the Thieves Guild with Peko by his side

➳Sonia probably lives in the Blue Palace like the princess she is

➳Kazuichi lives in Dragon Bridge and regularly visits the Blue Palace to see Sonia and he also regularly visits an abandoned Dwemer ruin for it's mechanical parts

➳Himiko definitely is a mage in the College of Winterhold

➳Rantaro is definitely an adventurer who travels around Skyrim a lot

➳Kaede could be a bard at the Bards College

➳Ryoma could've fucked with a group of bandits who got their revenge (like in his backstory) and he slaughtered them all then gets sent to one of the jails (even though they were bandits they could've been impersonating citizens are the guards feel for it? Maybe? I don't want to say he fucked with the Thieves Guild because then he would've had to slaughter them instead-)

➳Kirumi could be the maid for Sonia or Byakuya

➳Angie could be a priestess in one of the cities (perhaps Riften and her God is Lady Mara?)

➳Tenko could've been a strong adventurer who only helps out women in need and mets Himiko one day and decided to stay with her at the College and "protect her from the degenerate males" Maybe?

➳Kokichi could be apart of the Thieves Guild and also pranks the citizens of Riften? He'll be like the Cicero of the Thieves Guild

Single-Parent!Headcanons

Characters: Kirishima Eijirou, Kaminari Denki, and Bakugo Katsuki

A/N: Inspired by y’all. Enjoy <3

Warnings: fluff overload? one tiny curse word

Kirishima Eijirou:

the day his son was born was both the worst and best day of his life

his wife died upon delivery and he almost fainted when he heard the news, bakugo caught him before he could hit the floor

it took him 24 hours before he could gather the courage to go to the nursery and see his baby. he thought he wouldn’t be able to stomach the reminder of losing the love of his life

but when he held the small boy, who instantly nuzzled into his father’s chest, sighing with relief, kirishima was hooked for life

he just continued to hold his son into his chest and cry until he couldn’t anymore

from that day on, he swore he’d be the best parent he could be for his wife and his child’s sake

bc kiri is such a youthful and loving person, taking care of his son was easy, fun, and rewarding

ofc there were hard days, but it was all worth it when his baby would wake up with an adorable laugh, smiling up at him like he was his entire world

they’re two peas in a pod

he and his son are just the cutest pair

he takes his son everywhere, strapping him on his chest with a baby carrier

you bet your ass he’s taken him on (a safe) patrol around the block

kirishima is the kind of dad that puts his kid in a laundry basket, sits them in front of the tv, and acts out rollercoaster sounds

he lives for that loud laugh of his son’s

blows raspberries into the kid’s stomach whenever he starts getting cranky

his son’s first word was “manly” and kirishima spent the entire day bothering the bakusquad about it

everyone has 12 different copies of the video—y’know...just in case

when he takes his first steps, kiri’s swinging him around the house and giving him so many kisses on his chubby cheeks

when he saw his son had one spiky tooth growing in, he almost drowned from the cuteness

the kid gets himself into a lot of trouble tho. he’s always crawling towards the edge of something and putting his hand in things that could totally cut it off. kiri has a heart attack at least once a week

calls him, “son” “bud” and “buddy”

I hc that even though he’s lively around his dad, his son is very shy with new people and in new environments so school is kind of tough for him

but kirishima is always understanding of his troubles and tries his best to let him know that as long as he’s his son, he’ll always be his biggest supporter

if that doesn’t work, they go buy their fav meats and have a random bbq (kirishima just looks like the bbq dad™️ lmao). that always seems to do the trick

when his son enrolls in U.A., he’s there with a banner, his fav meat, and a bunch of tears when he sends him off

his son wears their matching crocs only to cheer up his dad. nothing else

aka he lowkey likes them but you didn’t hear that from me!

kirishima always has the urge to ft his kid, like, every hour. but he won’t bc he knows he’s busy training to be a hero

but he does send him uplifting snapchat videos from time to time

his son still wonders how in the world his dad even knows about snapchat

he makes sure nobody knows about this

when his son calls him about his insecurities, comparing himself to his classmates, kirishima is right there to lift him up. he also dealed with those same issues and tells his son that even on his worst days, he’s strong for just facing the day and he needs to believe in himself before others can believe in him

the next day, the bakusquad is watching the tournament together

kirishima has manly tears in his eyes as his little boy places second place in the sports festival

bakugo is threatening to kill him if he ruins his shirt

Kaminari Denki:

denki becomes a dad from adopting a pair of four year old twins (one boy, one girl) that were left homeless and without parents after a villain attack

he kinda knew the parents from hero work and felt it was an obligation to at least make sure their children were okay

he wasn’t planning on necessarily adopting them. he was young and inexperienced with children. how could someone like him raise a kid when he could barely raise himself?

but after two visits to the orphanage and seeing how miserable they looked, he couldn’t leave the building without signing the papers

the transition was awkward. the twins were not only traumatized, but distrusting and scared. they didn’t really know kaminari and now he was suddenly their adoptive parent

kaminari tried everything from ice cream, to late night movie snacks, to hide n seek to get them to relax but it wouldn’t work

he almost gave up hope, and thought maybe it was a better idea to take them back to the orphanage. but that was before the night he woke up to them crawling into his bed, scared from the thunder storm that rumbled on outside

kaminari froze, scared that he’d frighten them away with any sudden movement, but he soon relaxed and hugged them close to his chest when they snuggled into his sides. he sleeps with a peaceful mind that night

although, he’s awoken to them bawling their eyes out over the nightmares they had. he panics but takes comfort in how they still grip to his shirt, face in his chest, seeking his comfort

therapy becomes a regular thing after that

kaminari finds more focus in his life

and as those helpful sessions go on, kaminari finds the twins beginning to open up more and more

they all sleep together now bc cuddle piles always scare the bad dreams away

the boy starts asking for kaminari to help him pick out his outfits

and the girl starts asking him about his quirk

it’s small things like that that lead up to things like this:

they’re in the midst of playing tickle monster when they scream with laughter, “stop! stop, daddy, you caught us!”

the twins stare at him in confusion (and slight worry) when he scoops them up and cries like he broke his leg or something

they got two huge scoops of ice cream that night so they don’t question it

dad jokes are a must

he wears typical dad outfits like hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts, and flip flops

he calls them his “little rockstars” and yes, it’s still embarrassing

kaminari is a playful dad who doesn’t really take things too seriously

his children are always laughing at his dumb jokes and are never afraid to talk to him about anything that crosses their minds

although, they won’t talk to him about love interests bc he likes to play match maker

the last time his daughter told him about some girl she was crushing on, she found out she left her a personally signed chargebolt poster for the girl in her name

kaminari called it a little boost in spirit

her brother found it funny

she was horrified

kaminari swears up and down he’s the cool dad. his kids think otherwise, but their friends LOVE how much of a jokester he is. and he lets them stay up at sleepovers

plus, he’s literally chargebolt

how could they not love him?

denki has a little trouble being serious when he needs to be, but he has good kids so it’s not that much of a problem

there was that one time his son tried to help him during a villain attack. even though kaminari ordered him to get to safety, he didn’t and ended up getting hurt

the twins had never seen their father so angry. it was kind of scary. however, in the next moment, he gathered them up in a big hug and made them swear not to scare him like that again

overall, kaminari is the sweet, fun loving, dad that everyone wishes they had

Bakugo Katsuki:

katsuki became a father the day he found a baby and a note at his doorstep

the note read: “surprise! you’re a dad. i gave you all the legal rights, but you can place her up for adoption if you want.”

least to say, bakugo was pissed

he was even more pissed at himself for getting someone so cold and unloving pregnant

however, he decides to put the baby up for adoption. he cant take care of a baby! he’s at the height of his career. he can basically taste the number one hero spot on his tongue

he’s dead set w the decision, but as he stands outside of the orphanage, he freezes. he just can’t move

bakugo looks down at his daughter as she opens her eyes for the first time. he sees an identical pair of red eyes that make his chest tight with a feeling he hasn’t experienced in a long time

he turns back around and heads back home. it’s easily the best decision he’s ever made in his life

ngl though, growing into the dad role for bakugo was tough

before the girl, he only ever had to think of himself. he was still used to doing everything on his own time and for his own benefit. so being forced to put 100% of his attention to a small helpless human being was not easy

katsuki admits that the first couple of years weren’t his proudest. he was still short tempered, angry with the world, and frustrated bc he felt like his life was ruined

one time, the frustration and sleep deprivation would hit him all at once and he’d just start going off at the baby to just “shut the hell up!” before breaking down and crying with her

it was a dark moment for him, and yet, even after that, his little girl still curled up in his arms to rest when the tears tired her out

it had been a while since he felt unconditional love like that, and so he decided to change for the baby’s sake

you cant tell me that little girl isn’t spoiled rotten

bakugo is a hardass, but he’s all bark no bite. no matter what, he just can’t resist his little girl’s puppy dog eyes

he’s a girl dad to the t

yes he played the princess that needed saving from the big bad dragon. what about it?

his daughter is a firecracker. she started sassing him as soon as she could gargle

he pretends he hates it but his daughter is lowkey funny asl

they go at it when they fight. bakugo’s learned to be a little more patient, but he still has a bit of a temper and it doesn’t mix well when his mini-me has the same explosive anger

is the kind of dad that says sorry by asking her what she wants for dinner

they totally talk mess about other heroes together. he ignores the fact that she admires deku as long as she keeps it to herself

emotional talks are...awkward, but he forces himself through it

she finds it embarrassing (yet oddly endearing) that he got kicked out of a PTA club meeting for threatening to light up some mom for saying the art program didn’t matter

his daughter absolutely won’t talk to him about potential love interests unless she wants them coming up missing

bakugo won’t admit to watching baby videos of his daughter when he sends her off to U.A. and no, he didn’t cry, he got dust in his eye

doesn’t bother her too much, but jumps for his phone when he hears her ringtone

kirishima says he getting soft, but that’s just his little princess

anyways i'm finally being productive on that one mlp au i said i was doing,, so meet Hopeful Vanilla (aka pure vanilla) in the au !

Hopeful Vanilla,, formerly named Healing Spirit and originally an unicorn,, was always a very kind and was always bound to help,, even if his vision wasn't the best,, he got accepted onto the blueberry yogurt academy,, a magic school near Canterlot,, there,, he met White Spark,, his first friend ever,, both of them were very talented students,, even if they got into trouble most of the times

Healing Spirit decided to join his friend's research to find the true origins of Equestria,, however,, the most the two investigated the more Healing Spirit wanted to put a halt on it,, but it was too late when White Spark opened a portal to the Spirit realm,, the teachers of the academy managed to close it,, dissapearing on doing that,, both ponies were expelled from the academy (it closed shortly after though) and drifted away for a few years

Healing Spirit decided to travel through Equestria to help creatures in need,, he gained his cutie mark after realizing he was skilled on healing magic !,, he met a Dragon called Dark Midnight and his friend Golden Shine,, a griffon,, later on his travels,, the three became great friends !,, a few years later,, the three decided to go to a newly opened college on Canterlot,, he reunited with White Spark after so long,, who presented Pink Orchid to the trio,, the five of them grew a very strong bond afterwards

However,, the portal on the old academy opened by itself again,, releasing a strong threat to Equestria,, since the two sisters were busy on something or whatsoever,, Healing Spirit decided to take the iniciative and go fight the spirits by himself,, his friends decided to join him and after a though fight,, the five managed to close the portal,, for good this time

The princesses and the legendary spirits,, seeing what they did to protect Equestria,, decided to bless them with the elements of harmony,, Healing Spirit recived the element of hope,, becoming an Alicorn and changing his name to Hopeful Vanilla !,, he was given a kingdom of his own,, which he ruled alongside White Spark,, now called Pure Lily so both could get back some lost time,, the five heroes were recognized across Equestria and they protected it from major threats

However,, one day,, Pure Lily tried talking to him about something she saw,, still,, he thought she had a nightmare and kinda ignored it,, he later went with the five to an urgent call,, to later realize that it was fake and also a distraction

when they went back to his kingdom,, it was being attacked and it was very close to becoming ruins,, more confusion came in after Pure Lily who was with them just dissapeared into nothing,, Hopeful realized that something had actually happen to her,, and that the one who was doing this to the kingdom was probably her,, the four got devastated by the news,, but also determinated to stop this and save her friend

As they arrived to the throne room,, they saw their beloved friend,, totally consumed by darkness and a corrupted element,, that barely looked like Pure Lily,, calling herself now Dark Enchantress,, after a though fight,, they almost defeated her,, but she managed to attack the four before she was freed from corruption,, stealing their elements,, when she was about to corrupt the elements and use them to her own benefit,, Hopeful Vanilla,, with a bit of power that he had left,, managed to cast a final spell,, to sell her on a moonstone,, but the elements were destroyed thanks to that,, and after a white flash,, neither the heroes,, the kingdom or the elements were seen again,, and so,, the five became a legend

However,, Hopeful Vanilla managed to live,, and hid himself on an abandoned village,, going back to his old name,, pretending to be an ordinary unicorn and faking amnesia,, also restoring his element to keep it hidden,, he also later met Obscure Raisin,, becoming a sibling figure to her

Years later,, a group of ponies that he had never seen before arrived to the village,, while his adoptive sister mistook them by enemies,, he decided to give them a chance,, after learning from Gingerbread Crumb,, the leader of the group,, that Dark Enchantress was back,, he decided to join them and finally put a halt onto her plans

After encountering with his old friend after so long,, he finally got corage to reveal himself as an old hero (to the surprise to both sides),, even though he got captured,, he later managed to stand by himself to aid the new group when Dark Enchantress was about to make them suffer the same fate as before

He regained the kingdom,, even though he decided to leave the throne and live there more as a normal citizien,, after finally reuniting with his friends (minus Pure Lily,, she still was Dark Enchantress,, sadly),, he decided to give up his element and gift it to the next group of protectors of Equestria

Jade. The fate of female character in Mortal Kombat

It’s been a while since I posted anything on my blog cause I’ve been busy with my life and rapid changes in it. During this time, I’ve watched the new 2021 Mortal Kombat movie as well as the new animation Battle of the realms and also rewatched the Story Mode of MK11 a few times. As you probably can tell, I have a lot to say.

JADE. MILEENA. KITANA. SONYA.

Skip this if you don’t want to read my very important (and long as sh*t) rant about female characters in MK.

DISCLAIMER. This thing is going to sound extremely feminist and women-supremacist or whatever. By saying things that I’m going to say, I by no means think that male characters should be weak or lacking. If anything, it would be nice to have some godforsaken EQUALITY. I’ll explain further later.

Part One: Mortal Kombat (2021)

There’s no Jade in this movie. 

The end. That should be the sole reason I dislike it.

However, it might be better this way since the Nitara and Mileena portrayals in this movie are... questionable to say the least. Okay, y’all been robbed. If MY JADE would be brought into this movie to BE THERE for like 4 minutes of screen time only to get absolutely brutal FATALITY I. would. be. pissed.

More than I already am and that means something.

Sure, there’s a possibility that she’s going to be present in some of the upcoming movies because this one is definitely not the only one they’re going to make. But do I want that? Yes. And no.

Mortal Kombat movies (and Mortal Kombat in general) have a problem with women portrayal in general. The target audience for them are MEN, potentially heterosexual men, who want nothing more than bloody gorey fighting scenes with occasional sex scene here and there. To achieve that, they need a female lead, an attractive, kinda kick-assish but not too much, to not overshadow the absolutely badass men characters. Girls tend to be “independent” (because God forbid they’d want to express interest in the male leads before the time is right), sarcastic, laid back and sometimes even bitchy. Because, you see, they are fighters. And they are Sonya Blade. They need NO MAN. They just need plot armor, bigger than America itself. And if they’re not Sonya Blade, they are... non existent. They are there, but they are never really there. Here, let me walk on screen for a couple seconds. Let me sit beside Very Important Male Character (aka Shang Tsung) for a couple of seconds, looking absolutely gorgeous. Let me have a fight scene in which I make choices so f*cking stupid there’s no potential explanation to it. I exist in this movie to make people that love me (this character) to come into theatres in hopes to see some good action and interesting plot.

Now, I wasn’t born yesterday, I know how the world works. It’S bEeN LiKe ThAt FoReVeR, gEt OvEr here iT. Yeah, it’s been like that forever and the result is a mediocre movie that pleases neither the casual viewer, nor the actual Mortal Kombat fan. I don’t know, there might be guys who just saw Kung Lao’s fatality on Nitara, thought to themselves “Neat” and went on with their lives. But I exited the cinema with a sour taste in my mouth, feeling like I’ve watched one of the “fighting genre” films based on video games that had nothing worth remembering. Well, besides Kano. He was my favourite part of this movie and I  normally can’t stand the guy :’D

Would it really help if they changed the way the women were portrayed? I mean - is that the ACTUAL problem of the movie? No, women being the eye candy and barely something else (if they’re not Sonya Blade) are not the only problem it suffers from. It’s that MK has been going the same route, retelling the same goddamn story for the millionth time. It’s always THE SAME. The only thing changing is who’s gonna get brutally killed. But - of course - out of the “disposable” character pool. It’s never Sonya (because you need our female lead or else there would be no female characters in the story), who ya know could be killed by Mileena but magically WASN’T. Because Mileena FOR SOME REASON was like: Ya know what? Naaah. Even though Sonya’s from Earthrealm and is actively trying to stop you. If anything, kill her because she annoys you. BUT NAH. It’s never Liu Kang because he’s the Chosen One. But killing Kung Lao is fine, he can die so Liu can awaken or smth. It’s not the main character because how else can you portray THE MAGIC OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP? Ya, that’s what I thought, don’t even think about it.

You have an amazing universe, filled to the brim with SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. Let go of the same boring plot line and show us Kombat from another perspective. Change something. F*ck, go all feminist route and make a story center around Mileena dominating the world. Try with different versions of the same story, making it center around different character each time. 

SURE, YOU’LL PROBABLY LOSE SOME VIEWERS BUT TIMES ARE CHANGING, AND MOST OF US ARE TIRED TO PAY FOR THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Part Two: Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms

Jesus f*cking Christ.

To say this film was rushed is an understatement. While I was watching it, I was like: TF? Everything happens all at once, we have Kuai Liang-Scorpion story line, we have Outworld’s attack, the tournament, not to mention the final fight that should be whole another movie. I felt like no story line was properly laid out, some of the characters died before I got to even know them and the battles were... disappointing. I believe they needed to push this movie out so they squished in everything they had and just went with it. 

But, again, this movie just repeats the same things as its live action version. Let me lay it down for you:

Kung Lao dies (because yes)

Sonya Blade lives (because yes)

Jade is just there (more of it later)

disposable characters are disposed of

Liu Kang is badass and always wins

You watch it and feel like you’ve already seen it before. Sure, gore is fine, human Raiden is precious and need to be protected at all costs and adrenaline is pumping (I guess).

BUT NOW.

You know what’s coming.

My f*cking piece of sunshine, the gorgeous goddess of beauty and kombat, the woman who owns my heart.

She’s there for like not even a minute.

Words can’t describe how f*cking PISSED I am by this portrayal. These motherfrickers put her in EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SNIPPET OF THIS MOVIE. HER BATTLE WAS IN THE TRAILER, ONE OF THE SNEAK PEEKS WAS A SCENE OF HER AND KITANA.

TURNS OUT EVERYTHING I SAW BEFORE THE MOVIE WAS RELEASED... WAS EVERYTHING I WAS ABOUT TO SEE OF HER!!!!

THEY MADE ME HYPED UP FOR NOTHING!!!!!!

I know I’m not the only one riding this trolley. Li Mei was there just to be killed. Kung Lao had a f*cking single dialogue line and then BAM, fatality, buh-bye. But I was watching everything of this movie, being so enormously happy that I will finally see Jade in the movies, FINALLY! Only for her to be present in a single scene, get her ass kicked by Liu Kang (what’s new) and then she’s never seen again, even when the whole f*cking world is breaking apart.

Again. She’s just there. Ladies and gentlemen, one of the best Shao Kahn’s assassins, gets her ass kicked in fourty seconds. They NEVER let her speak ffs. She just spews some general villanous sh*t and proceeds to step on Johnny. Then, she just goes Observer mode as Kitana “betrays” Shao Kahn, gets tied to the column and then the world is ending. 

WHERE THE F*CK IS SHE?!

If you hype me up for her every chance you get, at least GIVE ME what you’re advertising. This is a scam. This is criminal offense. And homophobic. She is more than a revealing outfit and Liu Kang’s punching bag. I’m SO. F*CKING. TIRED. OF THIS. SH*T.

Kitana. The rebellious princess of Outworld... turned damsel in distress in this movie. Her role is so effing bad it hurts me to my core. You see her as a general being so badass and independent... oh right, we need Liu Kang to save her because he needs to maintain his hero look. And we need two kissing scenes. How do we get there? Oh, right, let him save her, because you know - that’s what makes wahmen kiss you. 

ARE YOU NUTS?!

The movie started just fine, with Kitana being in charge with her right hand, Jade. Then, obviously, they water her down and soon she is a princess in a tower (in this case, princess on a column) that needs her buffy sexy man to save her. Oh, and she can’t resist him - you know, every normal girl’s reaction to getting untied is to kiss a guy you’ve known for like a few hours but seen before and you’ve talked like three dialogue lines in total. Sure.

Kitana just gets the unfortunate role of a female main character. She’s Liu’s love interest and that makes her take the role of a strong (but surface level, only) woman who still needs her hero to free her. Classic damsel in distress story, with Kitana being the princess, Liu being the Prince charming and Shao Kahn as the dragon (lul). Of course, they try to cover this up by making Kitana a general, letting her win a few fights but it won’t matter in the end. Some say that women want to believe in fairy tales but the more I see fighting games’ lore, the more I say it’s the men who want to believe them. 

Is it necessarily bad? No. But it’s boring as fuk.

I would like to ask the directors to stop being so afraid of upsetting the target audience. Target audience can change and sometimes it comes out better than originally planned. My Little Pony was designed as a child’s cartoon but it was the creepy men who made it reach the top. Morally? Questionable at best. But business is booming, right? And that’s what they care for, right?

All I’m trying to say is these days women and gays are the future.

100% fireproof, but her skin is extremely fragile to most everything else, especially scrapes and cuts, and she scars very easily.

Her skin is always warm, the temperature varying according to her emotions - the more emotional, the warmer. This applies to all emotions, but anger is the one she has least control over and most likely to give you third-degree burns if you touch her. 

She gets her first tattoo one her eighteenth birthday, a black dragon encircling her right wrist up towards her elbow, with a pink flower in its mouth. Her second one is a few months later, a sun for Stella on her middle finger, then Daphne’s name on her clavicle. She gets more over the years, and all of them usually refer to something or someone dear to her.  

She has an anxiety disorder, and has had both anxiety attacks and panic attacks in the past (most frequently the former).  

All of her notes and workbooks are filled with doodles and little sketches at the margins. She used to do this for tests/exams too, but her teachers on Earth discouraged it and she got out of the habit by the time she got to Alfea. 

She asks Musa to give her guitar lessons and ends up getting really into rock music. 

Stella

Best singer in the club after Musa. 

Will fight you for a cappuccino in the morning. Will fight you in general if you wake her up before she wants you to. 

Gets cold easily since she’s so used to the ever-warm and sunny Solaria. When the weather gets even a smidge cold, she will either pile on the warm clothing or cuddle up to her personal human heater, aka Bloom. Bloom finds it cute, if a little exasperating. 

She gets a heart tattooed on her middle finger to match Bloom’s sun for her, and that’s the only tattoo she ever gets. 

She does have ear piercings, two on each ear, and a collection of gorgeous earrings to go with it. 

She has ADHD. 

She eventually gets into designing jewelry too and makes each of the Winx a customized accessory (a necklace for Bloom and Flora, a bracelet for Tecna, earrings for Musa and an anklet for Aisha) for an anniversary or something. I was going to say graduation, but I think she gets into it later than that.

She’s the best at making parents like her. The only one who can rival her in this is Flora. 

Flora 

Used to be extremely shy as a child, even more than she is as a teenager. She started to come out of her shell in middle school. 

Though she’s perfectly at ease with giving comforting hugs to her friends and family when they ask/she thinks they need them, Flora is much more hesitant to ask for physical comfort when she’s distressed over something.  

She helped her parents decide on the name Miele for her sister. 

She manages to get all of the rest of the club (sans Stella) into teas and infusions, in Tecna and Bloom’s case to the point that they start drinking tea instead of coffee. 

Horrible at sports. Just awful. God help this girl. 

She learned to cook from having to take care of Miele when their parents weren’t around. Eventually, it became a passion and hobby of hers. 

She gives personal names to all of her plants and experiments. To give you an idea, if you didn’t know the situation, it’d be understandable to think Mirta was one such experiment. 

Musa 

It is one of Musa’s goals in life to be able to play all musical instruments. She’s determined enough that she just might achieve this before she’s thirty. 

After the fire incident in the library, she keeps in touch with Galatea at least until the princess graduates from Alfea, acting as a sort of mentor for her. 

She’s very good at sports and physical activity in general, but she excels in dance and has an incredible stamina for running. 

Though she doesn’t shy away from (and in fact quite likes) miniskirts and dresses, she will never feel as comfortable in them as she does in a pair of jeans. 

She likes tattoos just as much as Bloom, and has a complete sleeve by the time she’s 22.

The least picky eater in the club, Musa will eat anything and everything, but she also doesn’t eat all that much. Just enough to be healthy, and carefully not enough that she could ever have reason to think herself wasteful. 

She’s also the best at handling alcohol, and the loudest drunk in existence when she does manage to drink enough to get wasted. Nobody knew this until the graduation party at Alfea. 

Aisha

She doesn’t like sweets and generally has many foods she’s not a fan of, but she will eat them when they’re offered to her out of politeness.  

She’s the complete opposite of Stella in her weather preferences, in that she loves rain.

The best place to relax for her is someplace warm and humid, preferably by the water, but a nice field and freshly watered grass are a close second. 

She gets an eyebrow piercing specifically as an act of rebellion, but grows to quite like it outside of aggravating her parents. 

She’s the earliest riser of the group, and likes to exercise in the morning. She would go for an early swim back on Andros, but a good run is just as good. 

She used to skip breakfast a lot before Flora decided to Mom Friend that habit right out of her, and now she has to eat something or she won’t feel good all morning. 

Tecna

She’s the one who sends memes in the group chat most often. Half of them are specific coding ones that the other girls don’t really get, but the other half get smiles, and that’s enough for her. 

Nobody holds a grudge quite like Tecna. And she never forgets, even if she forgives. 

She likes the snow. 

For one of her birthdays, Bloom gives her a bunch of Earth videogames and Tecna spends hours reprogramming them all to fit the magic dimension’s advanced technology. It’s a good day. 

She eventually gets a total of three tattoos, all of them dates. One of them is a double date, being the day she met the other Winx, with an annotation underneath for the day Aisha joined the group. It’s on the inside of her arm. 

Tecna is surprisingly strong, capable of lifting at least one person with relative ease. 

She dislikes not having anything to do with her hands and fiddles a lot when she’s not typing something on any of her devices. 

A lot of her time as Musa’s roommate is spent wearing noise-canceling headphones. She loves Musa, and she doesn’t dislike music, but too much of it ends up bothering her.

Bruce Stone/Wise Custodian: Supporting Character (He and Queen Sun helps Cal out getting through the Trials by King Moon. He is however protected from the Curse, but has a Speedy Cheetah Tail)

Queen Sun: Supporting Character (She helps Bruce with the protection and gives out gifts to everyone on Chess Day, she later on fells in love with King Moon)

Poppy the Floaty Flower: Supporting Character (When Sana Was Human and Poppy is still a Floaty Flower, Poppy and Sana greets Cal during her work with Sun Birds and Moon Birds (Guardian Birds + Sun Walkers + Floaty Flowers) (Guardian Birds + Moonwalkers + Floaty Flowers). During the hassle after Sana was Transformed, Poppy tried to run and hide from the beast, but it failed, leading Poppy to be cursed to be a Pixie Flower. After Sana’s spell is broken, Poppy turns back into a Floaty Flower)
