polygrigus aka convergent fakemon. more in depth explanation about its ability + the signature move below art
Tumblr media
Polygrigus, very obviously based on POLYBIUS don't think that needs to be explained. The "distraction" effect is a new one, works like infatuation but doesn't rely on gender and has a higher chance to be distracted compared to being immobilized by love. Every move that got the ability effect also has every move, regardless if it's special or sound or dance or whatever, will now become a contact and replace what it previously was.(that means throat spray won't work on what used to be sound based moves)
It also has a signature move! Confining Wires, a special 65 bp ghost type move that deals contact damage . Its a trapping move, the main difference being it doesn't get countered by moves like u-turn. It's also kind of dual electric type? It hits electric & water pokemom for super effective but ground resists instead of being straight up immune.
also. don't really wanna get into it's full move set it would take a REALLY long time but this thing would learn
-all terrains
-all weathers
-all field(non hazard) effects like trick room or gravity
it DOESN'T learn any status moves like will o wisp or any hazards like spikes.
Also learns alot of psychic & steel type moves, obviously.

ofmd s2e1 rewatch where i pause to jot down my thoughts and other random shit
not quite a reaction post bc i've already watched the whole thing. not quite a liveblog bc it's one post and it's probably gonna take me a full hour to get through a 28 minute episode at the rate of pausing and typing i'll be doing
s2e1, s2e2, s2e3, s2e4, s2e5, s2e6, s2e7, s2e8
anyway, pirate time:
i love how much fun con is having choking on his own blood
dream!stede's extremely teary face right before he takes off running down the beach is doing psychic damage to me
also dream!stede's stupid ridiculous outfit with all the long ribbons and shit...
ed and stede make contact so hard shjfkhsgjkfd the loud OUGH sounds from both of them
also the return of ed's old beard! i didnt expect to see her at all this season, so that was a surprise.
"babe" "love" im tearing out my own hair
stede has yet to learn that ripping ass near your beloved can be a love language
stede is a terrible fucking roommate just deal with wee john's gas in silence like the rest of them. goddamn.
WHO HAS THE OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH TRAMP STAMP. WHO IS THAT.
i like when the background OST is familiar to me lol the little strings when stede starts his letter throwing me back to s1
olu: that–that's the swede the swede: Im the swede roach: he's single ;) me: *pissing my pants with laughter*
also the direct confirmation that the swede literally doesn't have a name. incredible
shjkfhdhfkj the crew encouraging him. stede's "it's okay" and roach "be brave" im CRYINGGGGG
stede doing customer service is something that can be so personal. "reservation?" "eat my fuckin' shit" "right! walk-ins, then" average restaurant experience
the random background guy saying "my favorite hand!" abt getting stabbed in the hand is making me giggle. i love the humor on this show
why does stede have so much shoulder movement going on when he's walking through the bar. whore behavior.
"this is for mom!" sorry but i want to know more abt whatever's going on there
also the purple mohawk. dope.
buttons is so distressed LET HIM RETURN TO THE SEA THESE CONDITIONS ARE INHUMANE
"i know the odds of you finding this are slim but so were the odds of us finding each other in the first place" IM RIPPING OFF MY OWN SKIN
also stede's lil sad hopeful smile after throwing the bottle... i care him
i love how they make this wedding fucking suck so we don't feel too bad abt the whole massacre thing. "the natural condition of humanity is base and vile. it is the obligation of people of standing, such as yourselves, to elevate the common human rabble through the sacred transaction of matrimony" if i was at a wedding and the officiant said that i'd also start killing people probably
yayy murder montage :)
FANG BREAKING THAT GUY'S SPINE OVER HIS KNEE
the whole cake scene is so fucking funny im sorry. i love u jim drawing the line at attacking a shitty wedding. i love u archie who wasn't here for the good old days so you dont really see a problem with how things are. i love u frenchie with ur box in ur brain that u never open again. i love u fang it's gonna get better i swear. i love u frenchie again bc u just took the cake right out of fang's hands while he was fucking sobbing hfjhgkjhdkjkf
I MISS IVAN JUSTICE FOR IVAN. wish they could've said he'd just fucked off somewhere instead of dying but i think that would've raised the question of why hasn't anyone else fucked off since they all seem so miserable
very relieved that stede isn't taking the racist/antisemitic caricature drawings of ed to make like a boyfriend scrapbook like some people were theorizing. would've been overkill if after episode 4 from last season stede still didn't realize that ed hated these sorts of depictions of him.
INTERESTING DETAIL THO the background music in this scene is "a pirate's life" aka the song frenchie sang in the pilot. it's an instrumental version obviously but yeah i recognize that tune
also more cool background ppl with dyed hair man i love this show
zheng yi sao flirting with olu is so good. he deserves it.
how nice of ed to offer his drugs to the crew. sharing is caring.
also it's so funny to me that the thing izzy is tormented by is ed saying "you can't do the job, someone else will" the toe thing's happened three times and apparently that was fine but the thing the show edits together right before izzy breaks down into the most pathetic aheemheem whimpers isn't any of that it's ed threatening to fire him
also they cut ed throwing knives at izzy!! what the hell.
releasing the clip of izzy crying kinda ruined it for me when it came time to watch it in the show bc i watched it several times since it dropped and now seeing it in context i was like "ok i've seen this already fast forward." i mean i didnt fast forward through it but i did kinda zone out bc i've seen this bit already. this post kinda sums up my thoughts on it
"trifling ingrate plan" dshkjfshgdskhfjkhgkjh
"SEMI-CLEAN WATER"
JACKIE CALLING THE SWEDE "BOO CAKES"
"i know that guy we had breakfast together!" "you'll be having a lot of breakfasts-es together" "oh, okay" i fucking love this whole dynamic like i can tell they're writing the swede out of most of the episodes for budget reasons (sorry nat faxon) but by god do they give him such an excellent fucking send-off. can't wait to see him again when he's in his trophy husband number 20 era
roach is upset abt not being able to cook, buttons is tied up so he doesn't go running back to the sea (i assume). stede you are not giving your crew the environment they need to thrive.
olu being an optimist :)
buttons opens his mouth to drink the rain and in the background u can see roach yanking the rope around buttons back fhdjskgfjhgkjfh STEDE YOUR SEA WITCH CANNOT THRIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS
stede tries to make things sound good in his bottle letters to ed but out loud he says his actual insecurities... it's so fucking tasty tho that he thinks ed could be doing better without him and THAT'S why he's been stalling so much. not afraid for his life even a little bit he just assumes he's not wanted. brb i have to cry now
"im sorry if that's a little bit creepy" "you are creepy" in this scene where they're soaked from the rain. ofmd said this prince ricky guys is creepy and wet.
stede's fucking FACE when prince ricky says "you're my hero" his fucking "clearly you dont own an air fryer" face I CANT STAND HIMMMMMM (affectionate)
prince ricky "these rubes" "men of our standing" yeah i cant fucking stand this guy (derogatory) i love how he's barely even in this episode
stede's face when the swede is talking abt how happy he is with jackie... my man believes in love so much im gonna cry
also in what fucking way does the swede owe them a life debt. roach and buttons literally tried to eat him
izzy's "you know me better than anyone knows me and i daresay the same about you" this is literally so false i dont even know where to begin. izzy in e6 being like "if i didnt know any better i'd think maybe ed might possibly maybe be actually enjoying bonnet's company" while ed and stede are giggling and making each other friendship bracelets. this guy doesn't know ed at all.
also i cant get over how izzy wont make eye contact he's like staring blankly into the middle distance delivering these lines so flatly until he goes to say "i have... love for you" and in that moment he looks like he'd rather ed were feeding him more toes.
"im worried about you, we all are" not gonna lie my dude you've had a weird way of showing it thus far. where was all that worry when you told him he was better off dead than wearing a robe and singing songs?? where was that fucking love then?
and NOW izzy wants to talk it through. izzy literally voted to make blackbeard great again and now he wants to give open communication a chance???
lmao there's a limit to how many characters can be in a bulleted list so here's fucking. part two. on the same post:
ed asking everyone if the vibe is poisonous and fang cant stop crying and ed's face is just like "eh good enough" im fdhksgfkjtdkh
anyway ed with a loaded gun under his chin talking to himself is hurting me so fucking much actually. ed my beloved babygirl for whom i would die. this poor traumatized man. yes he is making this workplace toxic as hell but god. GOD. im gonna throw up.
the way ed is so fucking casual about shooting izzy in the leg. just calm and jovial as he promotes frenchie to first mate. stepping over izzy all crumpled on the floor. everything about this is so fucking good. i mean it's horrible for ed and everyone around him but for me watching the show this shit is DELICIOUS. i love when the pirates get violent and unhinged i love when this shit gets fucked up. ed's mental state is so bad right now and it is causing me severe anguish but also it is so tasty. fuck.
anyway frenchie trying to turn down the promotion fhjkghdfjkhf
the cut to the swede performing the husbandly duties is INSANE. COMPLETE TONAL WHIPLASH. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
"fuck those hammies up!" spanish jackie i love you
black pete why are you so fucking loud AND WHY WOULD YOU JIX IT LIKE THAT???
why is prince ricky so small. he's like a full head shorter than stede. also this guy is insufferable i love how stede just fucking abandons him fhjkgdhkdfghkj
"the calf muscle is the most mysterious of alllll the muscles" what the FUCK does that even mean. oh swede i will miss you
NOSE REMOVAL FUCK YES. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
obsessed with the swede playing dumb. the dramatic gasp. "wow, so bad!" fhjsghdkjf
"aint you that soup bitch?" "im the money bitch" i love women.
sfdsjkh spanish jackie being into double-crossing. and slapping the swede's ass on the way out. i love this show
i love how zheng says "this much indigo is worth three times what i paid" while spanish jackie and the husbands are still like, right there. and they just don't hear that bit. incredible.
OUGH the back of jim's weird rope armor looks like a ribcage that's so cool
i love how jim is so fucking bad at telling this story. i love how the monkey's paw comes into it. i love fang asking them to do the voice. i love archie trying to hold back her laughter i love jim and fang giggling together I LOVE THIS SHOW
ed's fucking voice breaking through his whole convo with frenchie. im tearing out my own teeth
HEY DID YOU GUYS KNOW THEY HAVE POST-CREDITS SCENES IN THIS SEASON?????????? WHAT THE HELL
i take back what i said about jim being bad at telling this story their version is so much fucking better. squeaky voice "I pray to you, Dark Lord, to make me real flesh! I want to be real flesh!" IM FUCKING OBSESSED. JIM I WOULD DIE FOR YOU

I NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT BUNNY BOY (aka Augustín lmaooo-) HE LOOKS SO SILLAY-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been wanting to share his little story for so long!!
Okay so it starts out like this. Sasha and Milla are called in for a mission when they were just about to take some time off. So they're understandably exasperated and irritated.
Tumblr media
Luckily for them, the mission doesn't seem that complicated. Maybe they can still enjoy themselves without too much stress. They have been assigned to check out a local disturbance in a nearby suburban area. There were reports of widespread confusion, possibly of psychic origin, and Sasha and Milla have to find the source of it.
They travel to the source of where they sense the disturbance and find a backyard with the gate left open. It is full of a large number of children and one adult woman, who appears to be their mother. Every person in this backyard is extremely disoriented, to a point where it could be potentially damaging. Sasha and Milla determine that questioning these people at this time is not a good idea. It could only mess them up further. They need time before they try and interfere.
Tumblr media
So they go out to investigate what the origin of this confusion could be. Milla notices a trail in the grass that has been singed intermittently, with patterns indicating pyrokinesis burns. They follow the trail all around the little neighborhood to the downtown area.
They entered several buildings and found almost all of them rustled and raided, and the store patrons and cashiers stunned by confusion. "Some sort of psychic thievery, I assume." Sasha says but is interrupted by Milla asking him to reconsider.
Tumblr media
"We could be looking for someone who needs a lot of help here." Sasha sees that she is right. Only food is missing. Only candy is missing. He sees a few plastic wrappers on the ground through the glass door of the building. "Or perhaps, someone who doesn't know any better looking for trouble."
They follow the trail of wrappers and random trinkets and trash to a bus stop. It is there where they find their suspect.
Tumblr media
They realize it's just a child. Psychic child outbursts were so touchy to handle. Especially if that was his mother that was so disoriented. They approach him regardless, and it sits up. Sasha and Milla prepare to talk to him.
Tumblr media
But they suddenly feel the kid trying to break their mental defenses with confusion. It almost catches them off guard. But they resist it. And the kid seems surprised at this.
The two start asking him questions, and he doesn't really talk. But he sort of answers their questions through actions. He shows them the other "tricks" he can do. Like the confusion and the fire. He burns a few bugs on the sidewalk to show how it works. It seems quite pleased with itself for its fun tricks. Sasha and Milla make eye contact and realize that they're dealing with a kid who has no clue what he is doing with his psychic abilities. And this kid needs help immediately. He's potentially scrambling the minds of himself and others from prolonged confusion and needs to be trained...
They extremely reluctantly take him back to headquarters after receiving written permission from his mother, who had no clue what she was signing or even what her full name was.
Check-ins with Gusty's family were highly frequent, including mental checkups. But recovery was very slow and gradual for his town. Gusty isn't an exceptionally strong psychic, per se, but he just got away with repeated confusion over and over due to the stunning effect of the power and that was really damaging. Really, he's only good at confusion and pyro, and eventually at mental projection.
So it becomes one of the "Motherlobe babies" aka one of the few kids whose living situations become increasingly unsafe and have to be taken in to be trained and don't really have anywhere else to go for the time being. The agents take really good care of him for the time being, especially Veranda.

Pokemon Emerald: Ralts Only
The Wally challenge. AKA Why Would Anyone Do This, Please Love Yourself!
I've been watching frankly too much solo Pokemon content and decided to try my own run. But rather than anything remotely sensible I decided to start with Ralts. Oh. Ralts. We're going to get extremely acquainted with one another aren't we.
Ralts is quite bad and honestly a baffling choice for a solo only run.
Tumblr media
It's base stats are really low, honestly lower than you would think they should be. It's BST is lower than every other Pokemon you can catch in the area, that's how little they want you to use this Pokemon. But even worse is...
Tumblr media
the movepool. There's good moves on here and getting Psychic at the brisk level of 26 is really nice! But we are going to have to gatekeep gaslight girlboss our way past a lot of the early game Pokemon in Emerald. Every Poochyena is an Avengers-level threat.
Tumblr media
Let's get started (and the last time I use an emulator's screenshot function again, holy shit).
You might be wondering if the run is even possible at all. After all, the very first thing you do in Pokemon Emerald is defeat a Level 2 Zigzagoon, and you might notice that we don't have any damage dealing moves. Only Growl. Surely the run is just dead?
Tumblr media
Nope! It turns out that if the Zigzagoon would KO your Pokemon, it will actually run away instead! Which is both really funny, and depressing. There's no way out for us. We're Sisyphus, and we're assumed happy.
Tumblr media
It is at this point that the realization dawns on myself. We cannot actually get to Route 102 without first defeating Brendan, and his Level 5 starter. Eagle eyed readers might notice we replaced Treecko, so Brendan is going to have Mudkip. (Edit from the future: what the fuck are you talking about how did you mess this up?) How, exactly, are we going to succeed in actually defeating him? Well, I have a plan.
It's not a good one, but it exists.
Now this isn't exactly a speedrun. I'm not exactly confident enough in my ability to play through these games quickly enough to make time feel like a relevant metric. I will eventually win, no matter how long it takes. ;w;
But for now, I do the most important part of the run. I save the game and open up PKHex. I'm using a Ralts, so I need as much help as I can get here, and besides, it wouldn't be fair if this Ralts wasn't as good as possible, right?
Tumblr media
We actually got really lucky on the nature, as Naive nature is exactly what I was hoping for. 45 base Speed is going to need all the help it can get, so I'm happy for the 10% bonus. Sp.Def is probably our least important stat as well. Now you might wonder why I'm not going for Timid or Modest and...the answer is, unfortunately, we're going to need our Attack stat for a lot of early game fights and throughout the run.
The choice of ability for this run was Trace. Neither Trace or Synchronize are really that good in all honesty, but Trace gives us a bit of information and can potentially be good depending on the situation. Synchronize is neat as a status punisher, but it comes up too infrequently and isn't that good to boot.
Tumblr media
Now it isn't immediately obvious, but this actually isn't a perfect Ralts. This Ralts is 31/30/31/30/31/30. This is because this run is going to be using Hidden Power. I'm personally going to be locking in Hidden Power Fire for this run for two reasons. The first is that I think the coverage on Steel-types is going to prove critical for one fight in particular, and the second is, I don't actually think Hidden Power Fighting is good. It sounds like a good answer for Steel and Dark-types, but in Generation III, Hidden Power Fighting is Physical and that means we can't boost it, and it's impacted by Intimidate, which is surely not remotely relevant.
Also for those who don't know, Caitlin is the name of one of my girlfriends, @juci-luci . It felt fitting to make her a Ralts. Love you <3
So let's talk about my plan for Rival 1. Brendan 1. The Mudkiperino. If we had access to Route 102, this would actually be nothing worth talking about. We would mull about in the grass until we got a Ralts or a Seedot encounter, and then use all of our Growl PP until we could use Struggle. But...
Tumblr media
Like I said, we actually cannot go to Route 102 yet. So we have to find a way to deplete our Growl PP...and not go to the Pokecenter to heal our HP at all. Let's look at our options here.
Tumblr media
Route 101 has three available encounters: Poochyena is definitely the worst, because it's only move at Levels 2-3 is Tackle, so it will constantly attack us. Zigzagoon is also pretty bad though since its a Normal-type, and will do a lot of damage to us as it rams into our face. Wurmple isn't a very strong Pokemon thankfully, so it could work as long as we keep trying for a Level 2 Wurmple.
Tumblr media
If you're curious about Route 103, don't worry, it's even worse. Wingull doesn't even care about Growl and will blast us with its special STAB Water Gun. This ain't it.
Tumblr media
We actually get pretty lucky and find a Level 2 Wurmple on our first attempt! Now begins...the pain. At -6, this Wurmple is only doing 2 damage to us but what's actually kind of weird here is that the Growls don't actually impact the damage. Wurmple's Attack stat and Level are already so low that the rounding evens out everything anyways. Just an incredibly weird quirk of how the damage formula works. But as an additional quirk, no matter what Wurmple's Attack stat can be, a critical hit will always deal 5 damage. This has a couple of interesting knock-on effects.
The first is we don't need to heal in battle. Once we get to a low enough HP total, we can just run away a use a Potion out of battle. This might seem odd, but it's actually beneficial to do so, since Wurmple's damage isn't affected by anything we do, but String Shot does meaningfully impact our Speed. Outspeeding the Wurmple will give us at least one additional guaranteed Growl, plus it means I can avoid using items in battle entirely. :D
The second is that, ignoring the possibility of crits, we always can waste a minimum of 9 Growls with each Wurmple we fight, and Wurmple has 50/50 odds of using Tackle or String Shot, so we'll likely waste even more. Despite my initial concerns about Potion rationing, we might be able to get away without having to use many Potions!
Tumblr media
I'm not going to labor the point too much, but we do manage to waste a whopping 23 Growls during our first encounter. That's what I call progress!
A few short encounters later and we've finally used all 40 PP for Growl, and now have access to Struggle. Generation III is the last generation before Gamefreak decided to bust the kneecaps on this move to prevent shenanigans with infinitely long fights (see: why Wobbuffet was banned in competitive Pokemon for so long), so we won't be taking too much recoil.
Tumblr media
It is precisely this moment where I realized I needed to replace Torchic and not Treecko in order to get my rival to pick Mudkip. Honestly I have no excuses for this, I started this at about 1 in the morning. We're just going to live with this embarrassment and move on.
Tumblr media
I'm not really convinced this fight is doable at this level, but that is actually a fairly decent amount for Struggle to do. Ultimately it's very close but I needed Brendan to be slightly less aggressive with his attacks.
Tumblr media
I've actually never whited out at this fight so I didn't even know respawning here was a thing that happened. It might also be because I didn't visit the Pokemon Center. The things you learn! Unfortunately this is going to be a reset, so let's just add this here...
Reset Counter: 1
There we go.
Tumblr media
I want to make it clear how thin the margins are here. I think this is doable, but it is probably going to require some above average luck.
Tumblr media
Growl is a blessing and a curse in this battle. On one hand, if Torchic uses Growl, it's a turn where it's not hitting you with Scratch, which deals 4-5 damage without a critical hit. But, Ralts is already doing 1 recoil damage to itself, so Growl reducing our damage output also, paradoxically, means we are going to deal more damage to ourselves with Struggle.
Tumblr media
On the 4th attempt, Caitlin just decides she's had enough and scores a critical hit on her 3rd Struggle, not only knocking out the Torchic but doing it without taking a single hit. I knew she could do it. :3 We get a nice 69 EXP for our troubles and...oh. Well that's unfortunate.
Tumblr media
Oh they REALLY did not want you using this Pokemon. Ralts being in either the worst or the second worst leveling group (depending on how you view Erratic honestly) is truly tragic. We didn't even come close to leveling up after the Torchic fight. Which means we're going to need EXP to help us out. Before I forget...
Reset Counter: 3
Tumblr media
Oh boy do the hits just keep on coming. Emerald in particular REALLY hates Ralts with every fiber of its being. If this were Ruby or Sapphire, this Poochyena would actually be a Zigzagoon, and we could grind up to Level 6, learn Confusion, and push past it. But Poochyena is a Dark-type, meaning its immune to Confusion. So while we could get Confusion...there's no point. We might as well try and see if this fight is doable at this level.
Tumblr media
Fortunately the answer is yes. We even got a little lucky with a Turn 3 Howl, but even if the Poochyena just used Tackle all three turns, it wouldn't have mattered. Keep in mind...for most of the early game, Every Single Poochyena has to be dealt with this way. The first available damage dealing move Ralts will have to deal with Dark-types is Thief. From the Slateport Museum. We're dealing with a special kind of bad here.
I'm gonna stop here because this post is already long as fuck, but the next one will include the first gym leader, and the Poochyena that will make us want to use literally any other Pokemon.

Be honest, who’s messy? The instigators, the starters, and the ones who mind their business?
Instigators
Naruto is obviously ready and willing to start a fight (emotionally, physically, what have you) with his whole being. He can totally make a speech while he’s doing it, but he’s also going to instigate the conversation that leads to a grand friendship speech.
Deidara wants to throw hands and talk shit at all times, always. He hones in on any insecurities and picks on them in order to get the ball rolling.
Ok, you may disagree, but at one point in life Rock Lee was fully trying to start shit for no reason (re: chunin exams, challenging Sasuke before the first portion). When he knows he’s got it, he’s got it.
Tsunade’s hands continue to be rated ‘E’ for everyone.
Sakura emulates her shishou and is messy in every way, shape, and form.
Kiba is ready to rumble. He is raised by glorious, competent lesbians and needs to make sure he isn’t falling short of their reputation, you know.
Hidan finds joy in picking fights with passersby, especially if they seem to be the type to appease Jashin (aka, absolutely miserable).
Obito has one brain cell, and that brain cell is dedicated to making a great fool of himself. Of course he’s starting some shit, then getting beaten up about it.
Hear me out: Hashirama is an instigator, for he is screaming his plans for beauteous peace across the battlefield at Madara at any given time, just desperately hoping he picks up on what he’s putting down.
Madara finds everyone ugly, untalented, and in need of a beating. Hashirama is neither ugly nor untalented, but he clearly needs a firm lesson in what can and cannot be expressed.
Not starting, but finishing
Tbh, Tobirama would be a brutal combatant and not hesitate to put an aggressor in the ground. Also, he listens to gossip when it finds him. It’s super useful to know what’s happening!
Orochimaru is not in the habit of instigating altercations, but his teammate is Tsunade. He knows how to deal with a fight. He also deals, like, a lot of psychic damage.
Shino can get into it, if need be. His bugs tend to sap people of their chakra pretty quickly, especially if they are not expecting it, so thats his go-to. He...does not know what he would do in emotional warfare, so he hopes to not deal with it.
Kakashi has no desire to initiate a confrontation unless it is teasing and/or he can leave at a moment’s notice. He can beat anyone’s ass and probably talk circles around most people, but he doesn’t particularly want to. He has a reputation to uphold.
Sasuke barely fits into this category. He waits until someone else starts with him first, but he’s already prepared. He probably goaded them into lunging at him, tbh. This was fully premeditated on his part.
MYOB
Hinata would observe fights breaking out in front of her and either abscond or start preparing some first aid materials. A brief cry might be in order, should Neji deliver another soliloquy on how she is inept.
Might Guy may have a myriad of challenges for Kakashi, but he’s not messy! He’s wholesome and sweet and wants everyone to have a wondrous time.
Zetsu is comically underwhelmed by everything, I fear.

The Flock's D&D Classes
(Not what they would play— what they would be played AS. Inspired by that one post along the lines of "Maximum Ride reads similarly to a chaotic D&D game, and the series is much more enjoyable when you imagine it like that". Also, idgaf if the multiclasses don't have good composition. This is for vibes, not for playability.)
Max- Fighter (Champion 5)/Warlock (Great Old One 3): Max begins the series as a cut-and-dry fighter, serving as an offense-heavy tank through power, precision, and practice. Definitely strength-based. The warlock comes in later with The Voice, serving as a unknowable patron that occasionally gives her disturbing visions, one-time powers, and tries to drive her insane throughout the series. Has significantly less levels in warlock than fighter because she keeps trying to get restraining orders on her patron.
Fang- Rogue (Mastermind 7)/Sorcerer (Shadow Magic 1): Rogue is the only acceptable class for me to put Fang in. Stealthy and dexterity-based, able to blend perfectly into shadow, but with the charisma of the mastermind subclass to sway people to his ideas and have a decent eye for trustworthiness. His magic is limited, probably only 1 level that was triggered by his first death, but gives him a further buff to their stealth and lends them strength of the grave, which is helpful, considering that he's died two times and probably qualifies as a glass canon.
Iggy- Artificer (Artillerist 8): Cut and dry, Iggy is an intelligence-based class with a knack for pyrotechnics and area of effect damage, depending on heavier fighters to give him time to set his traps. Outside of combat, he continues being good at tinkering and utility-based skills, including cooking and repairs. Also, I like the thought of his growing perception skills not being an innate ability, but because he keeps experimenting with things (himself being the primary test subject) when Max isn't paying attention. He starts being able to taste colors and makes a note "chemical concoction #37 worked, good 2 know".
Nudge- Monk (Way of the Cobalt Soul 6): Don't come for me about using a CR homebrew class when it fits Nudge so well. While she's a martial class and a fighter at heart, being a monk of the cobalt soul allows her to use touch-based information gathering, like she starts being able to do in NYC, and the proficiency boosts explain her ability to sort through electronic information as effectively as she does.
Gasman- Artificer (Alchemist 4) Bard 2: Gazzy is also an artificer, following in Iggy's steps and able to replicate many of the bombs he makes, but also veers more into chemical warfare as time goes on. His bard skills come in through his mimickry, which he uses for both deception and stealth.
Angel: Sorcerer (Aberrant Mind 2)/Wizard (Enchantment 4): While Angel begins as an aberrant mind sorcerer, which lends itself towards her psychic abilities, she's also sunk a lot of time into honing her abilities to enchant and sway people to her will, even to their own detriment. Unfortunately, she is the ultimate glass canon, because she is not able to handle physical damage and will fold like cheap paper.
Bonus
Ari- Barbarian (Path of the Berserker 6): Ari is entirely fueled by his anger and fights to his own detriment throughout the series. RIP you tragic lil' dogboy.
Total- Angel's animal companion who is actually a man stuck in permanent polymorph.
Conclusion: This party has no healers and only one tank. Godspeed to them and all the shit they get into.
Bonus bonus (AKA: I accept that the LTNW renditions of the flock are fundamentally different characters, and therefore have different D&D classes. These are them.)
Maximum Ride- Barbarian (Path of the Ancestral Guardian 8): Every time Max deals substantial damage in LTNW, it is out of anger, like when Ari called Fang a slur or when Jeb called her his daughter. She is someone who is very angry all the time, and is also someone harboring a lot of grief. Ancestral Guardian Barbarians are tanks designed with protection in mind, and are fueled by their dead family members, showing how Max fights in the forefront specifically to take blows for more vulnerable people, and also fights with Gene and Emergency in mind, because they are the reminders that she is not invincible.
Fang Xue- Rogue (Phantom 8): Fang is STILL a rogue, fighting through dexterity instead of strength and relying on evasion/maneuverability instead of weathering blows. However, they don't put stakes in charisma like their canon counterpart, and therefore don't fit into the mastermind subclass. At this point, they are functionally dead, and their actions are deriving from someone who doesn't believe they have anything left to lose other than their family— therefore, they behave more like a phantom rogue. DEFINITELY qualifies as a glass canon.
Igneous- Paladin (Oath of Vengeance 5)/Artificer (Artillerist 3): Yeah, he's still an artillerist, focusing on traps and bombs, but the bombs are more of a means to an end. Iggy's actions are done out of loyalty and devotion to his family, and he is willing to do anything to ensure that their enemies won't be able to hurt them, regardless of the consequences. His oath is his dedication to the people he loves, and the willingness to leave behind his own morality on their behalf.
Nudge Angelou- Bard (College of Eloquence 7): Sure, Nudge is capable of combat, but where she really shines is in her charisma, swaying people to her side and serving as support during fights, as can be seen in her interactions with strangers and the way she can argue with her siblings and make her point. She's the face of the operation fair and square, and is beginning to realize how important that role is. Hopefully she'll get better at deception.
Gazzy- Rogue (Arcane Trickster 5)/Artificer 1: While Gazzy can certainly help with the bombs and traps Iggy sets and is thrilled to learn more, he's much more hesitant to apply them. He's more skilled and comfortable in trickery and manipulation, using his mimickry to disorient and impersonate, hoping to avoid combat all together or serve as a distraction from a safe distance while the rest of his siblings wreak carnage.
Angel- Sorcerer (Aberrant Mind 5): Where the Angel of canon had a lot of intention and practice in honing her skills, which gave her the wizard multi class, this version of Angel has very little control over her psychic powers, and has a lot more issues of her mind leaking into others in more unexpected and unpleasant ways. She is ALSO a glass canon and can easily be taken down with physical damage or her own seizures.
Bonus:
Ari- Barbarian (Path of the Beserker 4)/Ranger (Hunter 4): Ari is still fueled by rage and fights to his own detriment, he's just also comes with tracking buffs and more longterm planning abilities.
Michael Rivers- Rogue (Inquisitive ???)/Artificer (Maverick ???): While this doesn't fit perfectly because Mike isn't involved in combat, Inquisitive rogues excell at uncovering information whether people want them to or not, and Maverick Artificers are adept in a lot of different skillsets. While he's a purely utility character rather than combat-oriented, he's a helpful person to have around.
Conclusion: They STILL don't have a healer, but at least they have two tanks instead of one.

DDB watch: No sponsor!
We begin with Chetney, Imogen, Fearne, and FCG in the Crystalsands Tundra. They can see the leylines and the auroras, but neither moon.
Sending from Imogen to Laudna: "Where are you? Are you still there? What happened? I don't know where we are, it's snowing. Please tell me you're okay." Laura rolls a 98 on a d100, spends the spell, takes psychic damage, and the message doesn't go through.
Sending from FCG to Orym: "Orym. We're in some sort of an icy tundra. Where are you? Are you okay? Are you seeing this shit?" Sam rolls a 51 on a d100. No damage, but the spell fails.
Both of them hear loud static and feel the spell unravel. Other magic works, though.
Oh, Chetney is flustered. That's what this is. He's disarmed. Not afraid, I don't think, but... something like it.
Another sending from Imogen to Laudna: "Where are you? Are you alright? We're in Uthodurn, I guess—" Laura rolls an 11 on a d100. No damage, but the spell is scattered and lost.
Sending to Dorian from FCG: "Dorian? A cataclysmic event has happened, and we are—" Sam rolls a 3. They figure out that sending will never work — the d100 is just to determine how much damage the caster takes.
Which is interesting. Because sending is unique — it's magic that gets drawn to the caster and then sent back along the leylines to the receiver. Other magic is just drawn from the leylines, it never has to travel back through them, so it should work.
The party finds a little cave to hide in on the side of a mountain.
Combat! Already! Woah!
Sounds like it's one of those ice lizards that the Mighty Nein fought in Aeor. And it deals 42 points of cold damage
"It's about this time, Chetney, that you see more movement. Two shapes, running from the mouth of the cavern, joining up behind this creature... these are smaller, though."
AABRIA!!! CHRISTIAN!!! (aka bi panic)
Christian is playing F.R.I.D.A., a rosegold-plated Aeormaton with a green cloak. They're feminine in appearance, muscular, and use they/them pronouns. They're a gunslinger fighter with a blunderbuss for an arm. They also have a level or two in both rogue and cleric.
Aabria is playing Deanna, a gnomish light-domain cleric in heavy plate armor, with a massive symbol of Pelor on her belt, wrapped in a colorful sweater and wearing Uggs. She's one of the people Chetney saw in the flashback Imogen gave him — she's Chetney's ex.
A day or so ago, Deanna "felt less of [the Dawnfather], like he was... leaning away."
Frida casts cure wounds on FCG. They're also a cleric multiclass, and have a symbol of the Dawnfather etched into their arm.
this is gonna be a biiiiig lore dump so
On Deanna: She and Chetney were a fling years and years ago. Chetney was the one who broke it off and left. Shortly after, Deanna was attacked and killed at a festival in the Greying Wildlands; her husband became an adventurer, and he found a cleric of the Dawnfather who resurrected her almost 200 years later. She was in the afterlife, "wherever you go next," with the gods — she was happy. And then she was back on Exandria. "Life is like being a snowflake, and when you die, you land in the ocean. For a while, you're a snowflake on the ocean, but eventually, you become that ocean. It's hard to come back from that." (Frida adds a note— "you shouldn't come back from that.")
On Frida: 2 years ago, they woke up in the Greying Wildlands, and made it to Uthodurn. Lost, alone, confused. They spent time watching, learning, and then heard Deanna's laugh. They realized that their primary function was probably to record, they have recordings of the laugh of every person they've ever met — Deanna's was familiar. They remembered that their function was to protect, and so they protect her, because she feels like home. Like Deanna, Frida was gone, asleep, for a long time, and then they were woken up by D. Wherever they were while they were asleep, they were happy — or, at least, there was the absence of sadness. They were ripped from that to serve something else, and "that was selfish. It seems like the gods like to play games with our lives." They're grateful that the Dawnfather brought Deanna to them, and so they multiclassed into cleric.
F.R.I.D.A. stands for "Far-Ranging Integrated Defense Aeormaton," which is inscribed on the inside of their faceplate. They know someone who knows a lot about Aeorian history — Jackabee Morcel. They live in Uthodurn.
With an insight check, Frida can't tell whether Deanna wants to kill or fuck Chetney, but can tell that she's freaking the fuck out.
"You take care of each other. You love each other. Is that not purpose enough?" y'all someone is finally calling FCG on their mentality.
"Do you know how we... power down? I think the gods are kind of like Aeormatons. We charge them. And I have this innate feeling, I suppose, that, after millennia, they want to sleep."
Catha is high in the sky, but neither Imogen nor Frida (who rolled a 26 perception) can see Ruidus.
Imogen notices that the markings on her arms have grown, they're nearly halfway up her upper arm, and the purplish coloration at the tips of her fingers has started to turn red.
To be fair, Frida has an excellent point, and I will add onto it by saying that the gods are not going to just lie down and die. They were able to seal Predathos away once, but we don't know how long that took. That fight could have taken decades, centuries. So even if Predathos is free, and even if it will eventually destroy Exandria if left unchecked, we — and the Bells Hells — don't know how long it will take. They could have all the time in the world, or no time at all. We have no way of knowing.
awwwww Deanna sneakily casts death ward on Chetney while he's sleeping.
Sending from Deanna to Orym: there are no words. Deanna remembers when she was the ocean, the interconnectedness, the odd absence of self, and reaches out toward the people who have loved Orym, who have known him, to reach toward him and knock on a door. She is met with static, and the spell fails.
oh my god Aabria has dice in her own handwriting?? that's so fucking cool. if anyone knows where she got those please DM me lmao
Imogen takes off the circlet and tries to extend her mind. The surface thoughts of her companions fill her mind, but below it all, there's this simmering blanket of static.
Frida having 9 charisma is the most unbelievable thing in this episode so far
Recording people's laughter is something that Frida does unconsciously, autonomously. Replaying it is a conscious decision, but recording it is an instinct. They believe that laughter is insight to the soul.
Frida has the same dream, over and over. It expands each time they experience it, just a little, but the more they dream, the more "whole" the picture becomes.
Deanna's children were young when she died. Her husband left their children with his sister when that happened to go adventuring, and eventually, her children left Uthodurn. By the time Deanna was resurrected, they had families of their own. Even though she wasn't in Uthodurn for very long, it feels like home to her, and she keeps coming back to it.
Chetney and Oltgar were good partners, made a lot of good things. But someone else came into the equation, Chetney stabbed them in the knee, the Glassblades chased him out of Uthodurn, he hid in the Savalirwood, and we know (most of) the rest.
"Not to make it weird, but.. you're kind of the first thing from my life before that doesn't hurt to see."
Chetney fails a random-ass wisdom saving throw, and he feels Catha rise, and with it the wolf. So he runs out into the night to transform instead of sticking around in the cave.
this just in: lightning titties and applebee solstice
"Forgive me, does he... grow? When he...?" "Yes." "All over." "That wasn't necessary." "I just smirk in monsterfucker." aabria.
When all that energy was syphoning out of the Ruidusborn, it "felt for a moment like you were connected to something that had been missing your entire life. It felt... fateful. Not good, but like the satisfaction when something fits just where it's supposed to, when you're organizing and something fits perfectly."
"Our relationship to the gods, it's not that of a parent and a child. We are not their children. We are their batteries... and the Matron just guides us to a place that existed before her and that will exist after her." The afterlife and the gods are more removed from each other than most people think; the afterlife existed before the gods, and it will exist after them.
Frida believes that the gods want to rest after thousands, thousands of years of being awake because of the faith of their creations. And maybe they're right. But what Ludinus wants for the gods is not sleep, it's destruction.
"I thought [the Dawnfather] was just leaning away... but maybe what I felt was fear. Dread. I didn't know they could feel that."
For the second night in a row, they can't see Ruidus in the sky, and Frida and Deanna — who use Ruidus to navigate — find that very strange. The leylines are still very much active, though.
Imogen goes into a dream with FCG and Fearne, focusing on Laudna.
Her consciousness is carried, pulled, torn through the leylines, dragged across Exandria at an immense speed, until everything goes red. They arrive at the singular nexus of all magic in Exandria, the column of red energy that still pierces upward into the locked, unmoving moon of Ruidus.
With a perception check, she notices that while there is energy being thrown upward, there is also energy being pulled down. She also sees a weave of golden thread that is beginning to separate, to break apart, and there is a red storm beginning to cycle in the middle of the Hellcatch. Imogen swears she can see a hundred or so people down there — not people, not how she knows them. Red-skinned. Railora. With a failed save, Fearne is thrown out of the dream.
Imogen is being pulled towards it, she feels like she's being pulled apart, a voice in the back of her head says to let go and give in to the pull towards Ruidus. With a successful wisdom check, FCG becomes an anchor, and holds Imogen in place.
Fearne shouts and slaps her, and with a 19 WIS save (which, might I add, barely succeeded), Imogen and FCG are pulled out of the dream.
y'all what the FUCK. Ruidus is tethered directly to the Malleus Key, so it's now spinning at the same speed as Exandria rather than Exandria rotating underneath it. is it gonna slam into Catha? is it affected at all from now moving at 1000mph?
Back to Frida, who's tracking Chetney. They use recordings of Fearne's voice to lure Chetney out, then a repeating recording of Deanna saying "you're the first thing from my past life that didn't hurt to see." Chetney finds Frida and isn't pouncing yet.
They kneel, hold their hand out, and echo Deanna's words. "I know you're in there, Pock o'pea. My friend needs you now. Please come back."
Deanna's scent isn't there, but neither is the scent of blood. Chetney gets to their hand, rears up, looks into their eyes and tries to resist the bloodlust. With a shit persuasion roll from Frida, we roll initiative.
Robot! Versus! Werewolf!
Frida shoots into the air, which Deanna knows is a signal, and takes off running back toward the camp.
They play Deanna's laughter again which gives Chetney another saving throw to break away from the frenzy. The quarry is wrong, the blood tastes wrong, the hunt is wrong, and the laughter is familiar. "You did this. You did this. You hurt a friend. You lost control. Other friends are coming. Shame hits you, deep shame." He takes off into the woods, and Imogen and Fearne follow while Deanna tends to Frida. Chetney escapes and runs into the woods.
Frida (presumably, with a 10) fails a CON save against lycanthropy, since Chetney bit them.
"He's in there—" "No, no—" "No, it's fine, it's fine, he's in there!" "Fine, I'll get him out the old fashioned way!" "...are you gonna fuck him?" never change, Laura Bailey. never change.

Heyo Eri :3
I see you've taken an interest of my NSR fan kiddies aka Burning Constellation and the OFA Rockstars becoming villians aka L.O.V.E. So I've come to ask on what you think the reactions of everyone such as the main NSR Cast, Nueva York, Vandelay, and even the Psychonauts would be when L.O.V.E forms and starts causing havoc everywhere. It's mainly Burning Constellation who starts causing mayhem by launching an attack that destroys the NSR Tower aka Orion doing what her dad Kliff did and drops a satellite on it only this time the satellite hits the Tower and causes a lot of damage, plus they also steal the Grand Qwasa- (I'm sure Kliff would be proud of his daughter LOL-)
Then all the OFA Artists join L.O.V.E after becoming villains themselves so now it's getting out of control to where Titanium has to call in help so she would call in the 4 main groups mentioned. How would they go about to defeat the L.O.V.E villains? Would they try to take them out one by one in order of the OFA Rockstars (Henrick being the first, Rosie second, Prince Astral third, CAL forth, Jodie fifth, and Burning Constellation last?) Or would they lure them into a trap and them battle them all at once?
I apologize for this ask being quite lengthy, I'm really down the rabbit hole of my silly group of villains-
For the NSR characters, it depends on if the tower was empty or not (also I don't know all about your AU, I keep forgetting with my terrible memory, so I don't know who's still alive or still working for NSR at this point in time so I'll keep it vague lol).
If it's empty, like they were able to evacuate in time, the destruction of NSR tower would be devastating but not too bad. If it was full, then L.O.V.E. would be seen as absolute monsters and murderers. They would be hated by a large majority of Vinyl City and probably the NSR cast as well (imagine if Titanium was IN the tower when the satellite hit, we'd need a new leader of Vinyl City then, but since she's the one who calls for help she most likely survives).
Stealing the Grand Qwasa (which sounds so funny to me lol) would be devastating as well since most, if not all, of the power in Vinyl City is now gone. People would die from hospitals not being powered and flooding as machines to keep flooding down are now not being powered at all. Not to mention the whole structure of the city is being thrown all over the place because of the chaos. L.O.V.E. would be despised by the citizens of Vinyl City.
As for the retaliation itself, I don't think NSR would have means of fighting L.O.V.E.. I don't know about your version of NSR, but mine wouldn't have the security to go against a whole villainous organization, which is probably why Titanium tries asking for help.
I doubt Vandelay Tech would do anything. They are just a tech company, not really out there looking to save the world. I'm sure they could offer some security robots, but honestly I doubt they would actually even have any more of those at this point since those types of robots were more Kale's doing and not something Roxanne or Peppermint would have kept going. I can see them sending robots that specialize in care and help to Vinyl City during this time though.
Psychonauts and Nueva York. Those are two organizations that would help Titanium (if they are still around. I definitely think Psychonauts would still be around, but not so sure if Nueva York would have been able to stand the test of time).
With the Psychonauts, they usually only deal with psychic battles, however, they would absolutely be willing to help stop this organization considering they've HAD to have killed some people. I don't know how much of the OG adult cast from Psychonauts would be around (the Psychic 7 are long dead by this point, as are people like Milla and Sasha being very old or dead by this point), I think Raz would be around still, but I don't know if she would still be an active member of the Psychonauts (since she'd be like... idk 50+ at this point, but she could definitely still be kicking ass lol).
Either way, whatever Psychonauts are around would be willing and ready to help try and stop L.O.V.E. at all costs. Using their psychic powers and advanced tech at this point would definitely help them as they track down and get ready to fight L.O.V.E.
Nuvea York is a tricky one. Because, if the Power Revolution worked and stuck true to the core of Nueva York, then that organization wouldn't really be used in this situation. Nueva York at this point is about helping people learn to control their powers, nothing more and nothing less.
Other organizations would have been made to help rehabilitate people using their powers for evil, or to hold people with powers who would have been able to escape captivity after committing a crime, but Nueva York would not be one of them. So whatever other organization is used to help detain and stop people from using their powers purposefully for evil would be called instead (the people of Nueva York would probably not like L.O.V.E. though, considering what they have already done to Vinyl City).
As for HOW L.O.V.E. would be captured, I think the Psychonauts and Power Organization (don't know what else to call it) wouldn't really work together right off the bat. They each have their own methods for dealing and capturing enemies, so they would rather work alone. They'd both also wait until L.O.V.E. commits some kind of crime, maybe try to set up a situation that would attract L.O.V.E., but for the first few tries they would rather try and get L.O.V.E. to commit their own crimes at first and try and stop them at the scene.
I can see it being kinda comical if you want to go that way, where Power Organization and Psychonauts make each other fail a few times and they have a little rivalry going on until something super serious happens and that's when the two groups start to work together and actually coordinate instead of almost actively sabotaging each other.
The order of capture would also depend on how L.O.V.E. operates itself. Do they usually attack in groups or by themselves with only some attacks being group/partner work. If it's single work with sometime having group/partner work, then Psychonauts and PO would do their best to get crimes that are committed by more than one person. But if they only capture one then that's fine as then they can use methods like going into the person's brain (or I guess code for CAL if I remember correctly) to look for the location of L.O.V.E.'s headquarters or base of operations.
If it's group work, then the Psychonauts and PO would do their best to try and capture everyone at once. I can see something going wrong and one person from L.O.V.E. escaping, and now the two organizations have to worry about them breaking out the rest of L.O.V.E. or something.
It could also be that L.O.V.E. ends up never getting caught because of reasons like they are too good at evading capture or are too ruthless that even if they were almost caught, the casualties were too great for their pursuers that they were able to escape each time.
I don't know how serious or dark you want to take this villainous version of characters, but depending on the intensity you could get really dark with it or make it really comical!

Prepare for a long-ass length ask:
Leo
YES. PSYCHIC/NORMAL 100%
"using calm mind 24/7" -> Love this
But also Belly Drum-
Lowkey picturing him as a Lioone for whatever reason-
Ney
Again, 100% agree! What else is there to say haha
BUT (as a gym leader) he has one random Ludicolo-
"Why do you have a Ludicolo when you're an electric type?"
"Because he's just a groovy lil' dude :("
Jordan
My bbg-
I'm so biased towards him it's pathetic-
Imagine: Flareon Jordan <3
Hidden ability Guts and a move pool consisting of Will-O-Wisp, Flare Blitz, Helping Hand, and Double-Edge
Works well with Poison Andy (more below!) and Grass Trent (more below!) to trigger Guts!!
And just like Jordan, this move set is all or nothing. Both Flare Blitz and Double-Edge have so much recoil damage, but Jordan is okay with being Poisoned or Paralyzed by Andy or Trent to boost the damage/recoil further.
And while he could open Helping Hand or WOW for a recovery move, how would he help Virgil?
The Team >>> Him. <- Or that's what he thinks at least...
Virgil
100% agree with the typings again!
"i realize this leaves him quad weak to fighting n fire" -> Which is why he's weak to Jordan haha
In a double battle with Jordan, I'd have him set up an Iron Defense first while Jordan burns with WOW.
Follow that up with a Helping Hand boosted Iron Head and it's over.
Luis
Nothing to say here when it explains itself haha
Andy
Love water type Andy!
But also consider: Water/Poison
Why? Andy is a nasty little bugger who will wear you down slowly over time. A defensive type but is capable of dealing big damage if you let him.
Imagine: Toxapex Andy with the Merciless ability and the move pool consisting of Baneful Bunker, Venoshock, Hydro Pump, and Recover.
I remember using a Toxapex like that in Pokemon Showdown. Always ends in a win or a rage quit by the other player lmao
Trent
Agree with you 100% once more
But consider: Remove Grassy Terrain and add Vine Whip for damage. Plus he does tend the whip the ball into the opponents box!
Him and Andy would be crazy together. It would be a stall-battle.
Sergio
Same as Luis haha
Millie
I raise you Rock/Fighting Millie
"how rock type gym leaders tend to be the first you face in the game as theyre meant to show new trainers the ropes" -> Yes but Millie as a Radical Red/Emerald Kaizo starting Rock gym leader-
AKA: Will shut you down before your nuzlock even begins.
Klopp
Something is telling me to add a secondary Psychic typing.
Too bad this means Dark type Pep beats the shit out of him-
BUT nothing that a little Destiny Bond can't fix!
Alisson
If this is based off of @liverpoolfanfiction's Supernatural AU (I've stumbled across it before!) then...
Imagine: Cutiefly Alisson
OR Mawile Alisson except instead of a big mouth, it's a big glove haha
I really geeked out over this (particularly Jordan/Andy as you can tell haha), so thank you so much for accepting my request!! <3
EHEHEHEHE MORE SOCCER/POKEMON CROSSOVER TO GEEK OUT OVER THIS WAS A FUN READ TY LUV
ohmygosh i cant BELIEVE youre a showdown toxapex user LMAOOOO. i love using toxapex myself but playing AGAINST it??? every time i see that my opponent has one i hafta take a second to think abt whether i have the time for this, cause i KNOW im not going anywhere anytime soon
i actually considered making andy a poison type like real shit!!! but i didnt rlly know to put it into words without making him look like a DICK lmao
N NUZLOCKE KILLER MILLY IS SO ACCURATE LMAOOOO I LAUGHED
im feeling VERY inspired to do a "INSERTPLAYERHERE's pokemon team" series rn,,,
thank you so much for this lovely reaction/ask i am LOVING geeking out over pokemon n football w you <3

Ravnica
Chapter 29 - Finale
Tumblr media
After the Blizzet raids last time, the ships claimed by Solomon and Neigha meet up with the Izzet ship piloted by Boltz and Elaine and head to the Super Airship, seeing its arcane cannon readying to fire another death ray. Just as the four jump aboard, Gankey, who was thrown into the air by a Gruul giant, gracefully lands next to them.
The group are met by a small crowd of Blizzet Bleague goons, but they are no match for the heroes of Ravnica's tenth presinct. A quick brawl, heavily skewed in Gankey's favour results in a clear path to the decision below.
Meeting them in the bowels of the ship is Falish, an inventor who was booted from Izzet due to who her shading dealings outside the Guild, and a couple other Izzet Defectors. Falish had been responsible for a couple character deaths right at the start of the campaign (but humorously never met anyone in the current party). Thanks to a Psychic Lance by Solomon, and a Heat Metal by Elaine, Falish is quickly incapacitated, and then knocked out cold by Gankey. The rest of Falish's company us quickly dispatched.
Using a device on Falish's person, they unlock a group of cells on this deck holding monsters and innocent creatures, including Krenko again. This disables a large Energy Core that was powering the Arcane Cannon. Suddenly they hear a large crash from the upper deck.
* * *
Solomon, Gankey, Neigha, Elaine, and Boltz go up to meet Uldin, applauding their effort so far. He monologues about how his plans leading up to this moment have been carefully orchestrated for a long time.
Tumblr media
Originally he infiltrated Izzet to get access to powerful weapons he would use to bring Ravnica to its knees. He hired a Precog Mage names Bori Ringor to apprehend those who would rise up to oppose him. Then he would use Falish to hunt down those evading capture. His plan worked for a while, but every time one of his targets was removed, another would join the company of his enemies (aka new player characters would join).
Eventually there came a point, where no-one in the original company was left alive, but Uldin did not count on a completely unrelated group of strangers to rise up against his efforts. Right in this moment, Solomon and his new group of justice are the only ones stand in Uldin's way.
The battle starts violently as Solomon uses Hunger of Hadar on the area Uldin and his lackeys are in, and Neigha holds them there with an Entangle. Uldin manages to slip out and pushes a Globe of Invulnerability around him. Boltz, Elaine, and Solomon instead rush inside this globe, and spam him with damage from within. Meanwhile Gankey, and Neigha's thrall (she rescued from Chapter 25), take down his lackeys.
Fed up by this insolence, Uldin blankets half the deck with a Cone of Cold, knocking out more than half the party... cold. Although Uldin looks like he's unstoppable, this party has 3 healers, and through creative juggling of healing moves between Boltz, Elaine, and Neigha, the party are kept together and nobody dies. A final attack by a wildshaped Neigha kills Uldin.
Elaine regains control of the airship right before it crashes down to the the ground, and they land safety. Peace returns to Ravnica, for now.

I made a new Mewtwo oc (it’s the child of gluestick)
I made like a whole thing about the difference between them and gluestick, because one’s a first gen and the others a second gen, you may be asking ‘what do you mean first gen and second gen?’ in short!
a first gen is the og mews and the lab made mewtwos while a second gen are the offspring.
Theirs a big difference between first and second gens, so let's take a look!
So as you can see in the picture below we have 2 mews, a first and second gen! The first generations look much different with short/no fur to be seen (unless angry, like you saw in the comics) while second gens have sharper, fluffier fur that doesn't smooth. Another difference between first and seconds is that first gens are more built to last and fight with psychic moves while second gens aren't really built to fight and last but they deal a TREMENDOUS amount of damage physically (and mentally 😉 imagine the opposite to a therapist)
Secondly let's move to the tube, see how ones like a pipe while the others spiky? This is a kind of 'failsafe' of sorts, as when the first gen was made in a lab they're a danger to the scientists, so if anything was to go wrong you just grab that second neck and the first gen goes limp like a kittten (so see it like a kitty cat scruff). The second gens don't need this so it doesn't work like that, however it does give them a good jolt which hurts, but sometimes seconds gens will just not have the extra appendage (there the lucky ones) so it won't be as big of a hinderance to them.
Both first and second gens will all have a chest plate, however a first gens one will be more muscular and hard while a second gens will be fluffy and softer to the touch, however the muscle it provides goes for both, a bit more for the second gens. It's more defined for the first gens
Let's look at the 'hands' shall we? As you can see theirs a noticeable difference but I'll explain it still, a first gens hands are more webby orBulbous, this helps them with their psychic attacks because pee pee poo poo (aka I don't have a good explanation), While a second gens is more of a paw shape, this is because when a second gens dna is fixing itself, it goes to the closest dna it can find that's not corrupt (for example a Mewtwo has a child with a like Parasect, the dna will cling to the Parasects dna and fix the gaps with anything it gets from the Parasect), so if its birthed by flower the closest dna more times then not is going to be the mews, so it copies any dna it has of that, which gives us... PAWS (and toe beans). This is the same for the feet, however they still most of the time keep the 'heel' of sorts that you can see on both, however the second gens 'heel' is more wide and do not have toe beans on then (aw D:). First gen mewtwos have retractable claws aswell while second gens don't have retractable claws, they have the claws out all the times which makes them dangerous.
Now let's talk quickly about the tail that connects to the belly, for both of them this is a fat storage (think of a leopard gecko's fat storage in the tail), this is mostly in case a mew gets into a tricky situation and can't eat, so it lasts for a couple more weeks (like 2 months AT MOST), if you where to remove the Belly tail then you'd kill the Mewtwo as this holds their organs (all. Of. Them. Every single organ is in this part, except for like the brain, bones and muscles)
While on the topic of bones/muscles, first gens have very durable bones, which take a tremendous amount of power to damage, even more to break while second gens aren't as lucky, while they do have durable bones it's not nearly as durable as a first gens, however something that is in a second gens favour is damage, while they can't take a lot of it, they don't get hurt like a first gen does, lemme explain. A first gen will easily scar, no matter how durable it is, scars happen a lot and it's very rare you see any first gens without a scar, however a second gen while not durable will very rarely scar. But for muscles a second gen has much more of these then a first gen, first gens are more built for psychic attacks so that extra muscles is taken away in favour of brain power, most first gens are skinny looking while a second gen is more built for physical attacks so it uses that extra muscle, making them look a little bulkier then a first gen.
Finally let me explain a final KEY point for all gens of mews, first gens CANNOT TRANSFORM, like at all, only second gens and actual news can transform, so for example they can transform into humans, lamps, spiders, books, anything the mind can think of, a mew and second gen Mewtwo can transform into! (Also ditto but like, I don't wanna mention him)
So in short-
First gens - cool
Second gens - more cat like
(I just copy and pasted this from my Wattpad)

It’s important to make sure you use divination to determine if it’s just a series of unfortunate events or if it is indeed caused by baneful magick. A lot of times it’s just life or crazy planetary alignments. If one or all of these things are happening to you, don’t worry. Don’t be afraid to seek therapy to overcome your issues while you work behind the scenes to get that bad juju up off you. These are signs that you may be under psychic attack. If your depression or anxiety worsens with little cause or if you’re not a person who struggles with your mental health but suddenly you become excessively overwhelmed. These are things that could easily just be seen as life happening but these are also minor inconveniences that happen in the beginning stages when someone is working against you.ĭepression and anxiety. For example, you’re on time for work but your Uber cancels for no reason causing you to be late, the bus or train you always take arrives early so you miss it or arrives hours later than scheduled, a product you ordered arrives broken or damaged despite the quality of packing or it doesn’t arrive at all, objects in your home randomly break, having issues with sending and receiving emails, you go out to eat & your food isn’t prepared properly. This includes a wide array of things that happen to you for little to no reason and occur frequently. Miscellaneous unnecessary inconveniences. Find out if the deities you work with have any bug or insect representation (for example, Oshun is represented by honey bees, Esu is represented by spiders). They can be sent from your enemy, but they also can be your ancestors or spirit guides trying to reach out to you to alert you of the dark energy being sent in your direction. This can include any type of bug or insect such as bees, ants, spiders, moths, mosquitoes etc. You are being followed or attacked by bugs. Beauty, finances & relationships are the most common roots of jealousy and baneful magick. This could also be affected by planetary alignments but this is also another popular way that enemies like to pursue an attack on their targets. Or when you’re making the same amount of money as you always have, but suddenly you have issues keeping track of your budget. You start getting less customers or you have difficulty closing deals. Notice when your career or business is thriving and out of nowhere you reach a slow period. Stay woke.īusiness endeavors go sour and/or your finances start depleting. Even if you’re married, please believe there are plenty of moral-less people out here who will work magick on a married man or woman to make them get divorced. Especially if you’ve been arguing with a lover and you know they have what I like to call “fans” aka people who want to be in your position. Once you check out that situation, get a reading to see if someone has been conjuring up some foul play. I, personally, argue with my mother every other time Mercury is in retrograde so I know there’s no bad juju to blame for that. If you and your loved ones start arguing like cats and dogs, first check out any planetary influences. Grab some tea tree oil for the blemishes and light up your sage bundle sis.Īrguing with loved ones. Also, it’s highly typical for women to focus on vanity and try to diminish their competition’s beauty.
#Lechuza negra bruja skin#
If you don’t normally have issues with your skin and if you haven’t changed anything in your diet or routine, breaking out can be your skin’s way of alerting you of what’s going on behind the scenes. It could just be old cheese or it could be a jealous bruja. Also take heed if you suddenly get a case of food poisoning after you eat at your favorite taco spot for the 3rd time this week. Unexplained allergic reactions are very prevalent. This is one of the most common occurrences as a result of a hex or curse. So I’ve created a list of seven ways you may be alerted that a Petty Patricia is throwing dark energy at you: Even I myself have had my fair share of mala brujeria thrown at me. For either, it’s imperative to know what signs to look for when someone pulls out their magick pistol on you. For the more seasoned bruja or brujo, someone throwing bad juju at them is nothing more serious than getting a little bit of cat hair on their black clothing. For the novice witch, the possible threat of dark magick against them can be a very scary and uncomfortable feeling. Hexing and cursing is a lot more common amongst the spiritual and conscious community than one might think. But what happens when a “petty” person takes things to the next level and tries to throw brujeria on you? We live in a world where people pride themselves on their ability to “throw shade” and be “petty”. Just because someone is spiritual, doesn’t mean that they aren’t childish or petty. Just about all of us have dealt with haters and/or petty people.

Directions of Build
Powers in games can be roughly divided into three categories:
Survival,
Progression, and
Macro Progression
The third is optional and often not bothered with, because players can get kind of hung up on it. Let me give a couple examples:
Diablo 2 Barbarian: Howl causes enemies to run in fear, preventing them from surrounding the character and letting you pick them off one at a time. Survival. Weapon Mastery causes the Barbarian to do more damage with the chosen weapon type every attack. Double Swing uses mana but functionally doubles the Barbarian’s attack speed when used. Both are Progression. Find Potion and Find Item are both Macro Progression, causing an extra loot roll to occur for each monster corpse you use them on. Barbarian players climbing the leaderboard often spec heavily into these skills to make sure they get an edge in raw speed over their fellow players.
The Teleport spell on the Sorc is arguably both Survival and Macro, as it doesn’t directly kill anything but can keep you away from enemies who could hurt you and can be used as a movement tool to just skip large swaths of map if you know about how the maps are laid out.
FF Franchise: Protect halves incoming damage. Clearly Survival. Firaga kills enemies. Progression. Steal/Mug gets more stuff from each fight - Sometimes even stuff that can’t be obtained otherwise.
Haste is in a curious place, where the ability to take extra turns is somewhere between Survival and Progression, because it mostly just gets used to attack but it gives you the possibility space to respond if things start to go wrong.
City of Heroes: In City of Heroes arguably the only Macro powers are the travel options: Flight, Super Speed, Leaping, and Teleport. There are a TON of Survival powers that run different directions: Almost every status affliction you can drop on the enemy protects you in some way, and also almost every status buff you can put on an ally helps your side stay alive. An enormous number of the powers go both directions. The classic Control power deals damage and inflicts Hold on the enemy, stopping them from doing basically anything. Some non-attack powers give defense and offense buffs simultaneously, like a psychic improving both dodge and accuracy by linking everyone’s mind for improved teamwork.
The thing that makes the balancing of how you set up these powers tricky is that damaging powers often get to double-dip - The Best Status Effect to Inflict is Dead, as they say, because enemies you kill stop hitting back and unlike Sleep or Stun they don’t get to auto-recover in x seconds. I mean, yes, a couple of factions in CoH do have units that recover from dead, but those are special powers!
One can arguably split out self-defense from outward-defense (aka inflicting conditions), and you can see how this split plays out in the difference between tanks and controllers. A tank in CoH can slowly work through almost anything, only losing if they get overwhelmed by large numbers or ludicrously overleveled enemies. Controllers lose almost any time the enemy manages to resist their status effect. But controllers get to stop large crowds from doing anything, making them safer to interact with for an entire team.

my news tab just told me there are fucking seeds being mailed to addresses in around the us coming from chinese addresses. this barely even registers on the list of weird things that have happened in 2020.
#not rt#teresa talks#every time i find out something new this year it deals 10 pts of psychic damage#who...... who is mailing mysterious seeds.....#like money is being spent on using postal services i assume....#so someone out there is spending Money to make sure people in the US receive just mystery seeds...#someone on reddit commented lsoh is about to start lmao#ok more research was done apparently it's likely a brushing scam#aka now that something has been shipped to an address it can be used as like a confirmed purchase for fake reviews#what a strange world we live in#all the things that have happened to lead us to people getting seeds in the mail so their address can be used for fake reviews#i think about that post thats like how would i explain fortnite to a caveman a lot.... how do i explain this to a caveman...#okay well first these are seeds. we learned about them and then put them in the ground to grow food and we got good enough at this#that most of us spend no time worrying about food. and then we put lightning in rock and a bunch of vines under the ocean#so now we can all talk to each other and see what other people say no matter how far away they are#and since we spend no time getting food we spend our time making other things and so you now have to decide if you want to get things#so you go see what other people are saying about this thing and if theyre saying good things then youll want to get it more#and you can only say things about this thing if you have gotten it yourself. and people who make the thing really want you to get it.#so now people who make the thing are giving random people worthless items (yes they are seeds no i will not be explaining irony to a cavema)#so that another person can then leave fake words about how good the thing is so real other people will read it and want the thing more.#id bash my own skull in if i heard this explanation lmao. like truly this is such a progression of events.#i unironically would think this is wonderful were it not so wasteful. like the amount of convolution. beautiful.

#8: Adrian 'Alucard' Tepes [Castlevania]
Tumblr media
Surprise!
Told you I can do any fictional character. Feel free to send me your suggestions!
By the time I'm writing this, season 4 of Netflix's Castlevania shall hit our screens in two days. Because of that, I decided to do something special and build the main trio in D&D. We'll start with everybody's bundle of daddy issues - Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes aka Alucard. This half-vampire swordsman uses his charm and nimbleness to overpower his foes.
Next Time: Never tell this woman beer is better than sex with her, my man... see what happens.
Now, let's see what we need to bring Alucard into our D&D game.
Tumblr media
Errr... besides that.
Half-Blood Prince: Alucard is a half-vampire son of Dracula. He's quite an accomplished scholar, orator, and all-around high-class fella. His strength, speed, and intelligence are obviously above that of any mortal, but I'm afraid this is D&D, not anime. We have to balance it out.
Floaty Sword: Alucard's weapon of choice is a longsword he controls telekinetically. We don't see him doing much in terms of magic and spellcasting (besides occasional quick stride akin to teleportation), so we shall focus on this one weapon.
Tough: I mean... my dude fights either shirtless or in a trenchcoat and he still can take more Punchables™ than Mama said. What I mean is, we need some good AC on him.
---
The issue of Alucard's race is pretty much non-existing; he's a half-vampire, there is a half-vampire option in D&D that is about to become official with the upcoming release of Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft.
Alucard is a Dhampir. We get to pick a +2 and +1 to two different stats of our choice, let's get +2 Dexterity and +1 Constitution. We get both walking AND climbing speed of 35 feet, 60 feet of Darkvision, and we get to speak Common and one other language of our choice. Most importantly, we get Vampiric Bite, which lets us use our teeth as natural weapons. We can add our Constitution modifier to both attack and damage rolls of our fangs, and the bite deals 1d4 piercing damage. If we're below 50% health, we have an advantage on the attack roll. We're not ourselves when we're hungry. If the creature we bite is not a construct or an undead, we can choose one of the following benefits:
regain Hit Points equal to the damage of our bite;
gain a bonus to the next ability check or attack roll we make (bonus equals the damage of our bite)
We can use those bite benefits the number of times equal to our proficiency bonus, and we regain all bites after finishing a long rest.
For Alucard's background, I feel like going with Noble is most fitting. We get proficiency with History and Persuasion, proficiency in one gaming set, we learn one language of our choice, and we gain the Position of Privilege feature; much like Shelter of the Faithful or Military Rank from previous builds, this one grants us ability to secure an audience with a noble, or use our status to gain entrance to more secured locations. Nobody tells the son of Dracula what he can or can't do!
ABILITY SCORES
If you ever seen Alucard, you know he's scoring 18 in every single thing right away. That makes him almost anime protagonist-level of awesome. However, once again, this is D&D. We must be fair and adhere to the rules:
We start with Constitution, as we're pretty difficult to hurt (our only weakness seems to be attractive Japanese hunters). Dexterity is next, it is our primary fighting ability, and we need it to be able to go shirtless into battle. We follow that up with Strength, we are nimble but we can still punch a full-on vampire in the face hard enough to make him feel it.
Intelligence is next, we've had Dracula's entire library to kill time, and we're pretty educated. Wisdom is a bit lower than we need it to be, but we did get outsmarted by two Belmont wannabes. We'll work on that. Unfortunately, we have to dump Charisma.
Tumblr media
H-hey! For my defence, he's been described as a teenager in an adult's body! He is educated and eloquent, but apart from that, his charm comes from how inept and awkward he is... err... it doesn't work, eh?
YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!
CLASS
Level 1 - Fighter: No big surprise there, we're not a caster or a tank, this is a damage-dealer build. As a Fighter, we get a d10 for our Hit Dice, [10 + Constitution modifier] starting Hit Points, proficiency with light armour, medium armour, heavy armour, shields, simple weapons, and martial weapons. We don't need armour for this build (we've seen Alucard using a shield in S4 trailer), and I think his sword is long and thin enough to count as a rapier. Our saving throws are Strength and Constitution, and we get to pick two class skills: Athletics and Acrobatics seems stereotypical, but they're really useful in this build.
Fighters at 1st level get to pick their Fighting Style, and if you remember Alucard's fight with Trevor, you know we're going with Duelling. This gives us a +2 to damage rolls with our weapon, as long as it's the only one we have in our hands, so we're dropping the shield. We also get Second Wind, letting us heal [1d10 + our Fighter level] once per short or long rest.
Level 2 - Fighter: At this level we get Action Surge, which lets us take one additional Action once per short or long rest.
Level 3 - Fighter: This is the level where we get to pick our subclass, our Martial Archetype. Now, if this build was done earlier, I would've picked Eldritch Knight (as Weapon Bond is especially tempting feature), but thanks once again to Tasha's Cauldron of Everything we have something that fits Alucard much better.
Tumblr media
Alucard is a Psi Warrior. He uses much less magic than Sypha, and his main tactic is to use his sword telekinetically. This subclass has everything we need. We start with Psionic Power, which gives us a [our proficiency bonus x2]d6 of Psionic Energy Dice, which can be used to perform special effects. We regain all Psionic Dice after finishing a long rest, but once per short or long rest we can also regain one dice as a bonus action, which is useful in a pinch. We begin with the following psychic effects:
Protective Field: when a creature within 30 feet of us takes damage, we can spend 1 Psionic Die as a reaction to reduce the damage by [the result + our Intelligence modifier].
Psionic Strike: Once on our turn, when we successfully deal damage to a target within 30 feet of us, we can spend 1 Psionic Die to add extra [the result + our Intelligence modifier] force damage.
Telekinetic Movement: As an action, we can select a loose object that is Large or smaller (or one willing creature other than ourselves), and move it up to 30 feet into an unoccupied space. Alternatively, we can summon a Tiny object directly to or from our hand. Our rapier is definitely not Tiny, but moving it as close as 1 foot and using a free action to pick it up is absolutely possible. Once we use this effect, we have to wait a short or long rest, or use a Psionic Die to use it again.
Level 4 - Fighter: It's time for our first Ability Score Improvement! Instead, however, we will pick a feat. Mobile feat along with a Dexterity-based character is truly a DM's bane. Our walking (and climbing) speed increases by 10 feet; when we use the Dash action, we are not affected by difficult terrain; when we make a melee attack against a creature, we do not provoke attacks of opportunity for the rest of the turn, regardless if we hit our target or not.
Tumblr media
Level 5 - Fighter: At this level we get Extra Attack. During our turn, as we take our Action, we can now attack twice instead of once. Combining that with Action Surge lets us attack four times on our turn.
It is also here that our Psionic Dice increases from d6 into d8.
Level 6 - Fighter: We get another ASI. Let's raise our Wisdom by 2 points. We need it to multiclass later.
Level 7 - Fighter: Our subclass gets upgraded with Telekinetic Adept. We now get two additional effects to pick for our Psionic Dice:
Psi-Powered Leap: As a bonus action, we gain flying speed of [our walking speed x2] feet until the end of our current turn. Once we take this effect, we cannot do it again until we finish a short or long rest, or spend a Psionic Die to do it again.
Telekinetic Thrust: When we use our Psionic Strike, we can force a Strength saving throw on our target (DC: 8 + our proficiency bonus + our Intelligence modifier). On a failed save, we can either knock the target prone, or move them 10 feet in any horizontal direction.
Level 8 - Fighter: Time for another ASI. Once again, we need to raise our Wisdom, but this time only by a single point. We'll put the other point into Strength, and let's get ready to multiclass into...
Level 9 - Monk: We shall now address Alucard's questionable choice of body protection... and by that I mean lack thereof. As a 1st-level Monk, we get Unarmoured Defence; when we're not wearing any armour, our AC equals [10 + our Dexterity modifier + our Wisdom modifier].
We also get our hand-to-hand combat upgraded with Martial Arts, which is going to be useful if we're somehow separated from our sword. While we're unarmed (or wielding monk weapons) and unarmoured (and with no shield), we gain the following benefits:
We can use Dexterity instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls of our unarmed strikes and monk weapons;
We can now roll a d4 for attack and damage rolls of our unarmed strikes (instead of our Strength or Dexterity modifier) and monk weapons;
When we Attack using unarmed strikes or monk weapons, we can spend a bonus action to do additional unarmed strike.
Level 10 - Monk: Halfway through the build, and we're getting access to the Monk's most important resource, the Ki energy. We start with 2 Ki Points, which we can spend to fuel some extra Monk abilities. Right from the start, we know three of those:
Flurry of Blows: Immediately after we Attack, we can spend 1 Ki Point to deal two extra unarmed strikes.
Patient Defence: We can burn 1 Ki Point to take a Dodge action as a bonus action.
Step of the Wind: For 1 Ki Point, we can take a Dash or Disengage action as a bonus action. Our jump distance also doubles for the turn.
Tumblr media
We also get extra speedy here with Unarmoured Movement. While not wearing armour or a shield, our walking speed increases by 10 feet.
Level 11 - Monk: At this level, we shall learn how to Deflect Missiles. Whenever we're hit by a ranged projectile, we can use our reaction to reduce the damage dealt by [1d10 + our Dexterity modifier + our Monk level]. If we manage to reduce the damage to 0, we can catch the projectile with a free hand and, using the same reaction, make a ranged attack (20/60) with the same projectile.
This is also the time to pick our second subclass, our Monastic Tradition. Now, originally I wanted to do Way of the Shadow to get some more of that vampiric sneak, but then I realize it's not exactly what Alucard does. Instead, we'll go Way of the Open Hand, to enhance our unarmed combat. With the Open Hand Technique feature, we gain a boost to our Flurry of Blows. Every time on of our Flurry strikes hits, we can apply one of the following effects:
Target must make a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone;
Target must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 15 feet;
Target cannot take reactions until the end of our next turn.
We also get Wholeness of Body to double-down on our vampiric regeneration. Once per long rest, we can use an action to regain Hit Points equal to [our Monk level x3].
It is also at this level that our Psionic Dice get upgraded to a d10.
Level 12 - Fighter: We return to our Jedi Psi Warrior, just in time to get the Indomitable feature. Once per long rest, we can reroll a saving throw we fail, but we must use the new result.
Level 13 - Fighter: Our subclass gets upgraded with Guarded Mind. We are now resistant to psychic damage. Additionally, we can spend a Psionic Die to shake off the charmed or frightened effects if we start our turn under influence of those.
Level 14 - Fighter: Here, our Extra Attack gets improved; now, we can attack three times when taking the Attack action.
Level 15 - Fighter: We get another ASI. Let's raise our Charisma by 2 point, to get rid of the negative modifier.
Level 16 - Fighter: We now get an improvement to our Indomitable feature. We can use it twice per long rest.
Level 17 - Fighter: For another ASI, we shall raise our Dexterity by 2 points.
Level 18 - Fighter: We get the final upgrade for our subclass in this build. By using Bulwark of Force, we can protect ourselves and others. As a bonus action, we can choose a number of creatures within 30 feet that we can see (ourselves included), equal to our Intelligence modifier. The chosen creatures gain the benefit of half-cover for 1 minute, or until we're incapacitated. Once again, we can use it once per long rest, unless we spend a Psionic Die to use it again.
Level 19 - Fighter: For our final ASI we shall raise our Wisdom and Intelligence.
Level 20 - Fighter: Our capstone is Fighter 17. We get three uses of Indomitable per long rest, and two uses of Action Surge, which effectively gives us ability to perform nine attacks on a single target.
---
And that is my take on Alucard from Castlevania. Let's see how he presents himself:
First of all, we're a very speedy boi, with basic speed of 55 feet, with Step of the Wind giving us ability to double that movement. We also have a solid Hit Point base, 181 on average. We can make multiple attacks with Action Surge and Extra Attack, and even if we get disarmed, we can handle ourselves with bare hands.
On the other hand, our Charisma makes those particular saving throws a bit difficult. Same thing with our Intelligence, which modifier fuels some of our subclass abilities. We also have a relatively low AC (16 unarmoured), but we do have several skills attributing to avoiding getting hit (the Mobile feat, Patient Defence, etc.)
---
Anyhoo, that's it for Alucard. Next time, it's everybody's favourite tomboy wizard!
- Nerdy out!
