The sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room as Seijuro found you reading on the couch. You were on your back, head against the side of the couch with your book on your chest. He approached quietly, his presence commanding yet calming, and settled beside you, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"May I?" he asked softly, gesturing to the spot in your lap.
You nodded, a small smile gracing your lips as you lifted the book up a bit and allowed him to lay his head in your lap. "Of course Sei." You grinned down at him, his pretty pink eyes glinting from the reflection of the sun that spewed through the curtains.
Seijuro grabbed his book off the coffee table and then leaned closer to you. You could feel the warmth radiating from him, his proximity comforting in its own way. You both sat in silence, lost in your respective books, yet sharing the space effortlessly, your hand in his hair, softly scratching his scalp only occasionally pulling away to turn the page.
He had one hand holding his book and the other on your thigh, tracing small patters, occasionally turning his head to place a chaste kiss to your stomach, "love you pretty."
"Love you too Sei," you smiled fondly but then laughed softly, "Sei baby, you gotta hop up, I need to use that restroom."
"Im not moving, your lap is too comfortable," Akashi says, putting his book down and rolling onto your stomach, moving up a little so he was now lying on your chest, burying his head into your neck.
It was moments like these, the simple act of being together in the same space, that made you feel truly comfortable around him. There was a sense of ease in your presence with each other, even in your pajamas, engrossed in your own activities.
Seijuro's hand brushed against yours unexpectedly, his fingers interlacing with yours. It was a subtle gesture, yet it spoke volumes about his feelings, his touch conveying a sense of connection and intimacy.
As the day progressed, you found yourself preparing lunch in the kitchen, the savory aroma wafting through the air. Seijuro entered quietly, his steps graceful yet purposeful, and wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.
"Need any help?" he inquired softly, his voice velvety smooth against your ear.
You smiled at his offer, feeling a surge of affection. "I'm fine, thank you," you replied, leaning back into his embrace, savoring the warmth of his touch.
His protectiveness often shone through, even in the simplest of actions. Walking down a crowded street, Seijuro would instinctively switch positions with you, guiding you to the safer side, his actions a silent vow to protect you.
Some mornings, when Seijuro had a rare day off and you had to rush to work, he'd be playfully clingy, stealing a few extra moments to hold you closer and press a gentle kiss against your forehead.
"Remember you mentioned this," Seijuro said, presenting you with a small package, a thoughtful gesture after recalling a passing comment you made about a particular item.
His attention to detail was astounding, remembering the little things about you — your preferences, your favorite treats, and the nuances of your personality.
During his trips, Seijuro would send pictures of every place he visited, each one a silent testament to his thoughts of you. A short text would accompany each picture, a simple 'wish you could be here to see it with me.'
He loved surprising you, occasionally bringing home a small gift just to see you smile, his way of expressing affection without needing a reason.
LATE NIGHT CONVERSATIONS!!!
In the quiet moments before bedtime, you and Seijuro found yourselves engaged in deep conversations, discussing dreams, aspirations, and the little things that made your hearts flutter. His undivided attention and genuine interest in your thoughts and feelings made you feel truly understood and cherished.
Also great at looking after you when you are sick
You woke up feeling awful, the world around you spinning as you groaned, trying to sit up. The room was dimly lit, and you felt your head throbbing painfully. Despite the discomfort, you managed to reach for your phone, sending a quick text to Seijuro, informing him of your condition.
Within minutes, you heard the door open quietly, and Seijuro entered, concern etched on his face. He approached you swiftly, his steps graceful yet purposeful, his presence commanding yet comforting.
"Are you alright?" he asked softly, his voice a calming melody in the hazy fog of your mind.
You shook your head weakly, unable to form words. Seijuro's hand felt cool against your forehead as he checked your temperature, his brows furrowing in concern.
"You have a fever," he stated calmly, his voice holding a hint of worry. "I'll take care of you."
Seijuro vanished briefly, returning with a damp cloth and a glass of water. He helped you sit up, propping pillows behind you for support, and placed the cloth on your forehead, the coolness providing some relief. The water he offered was a welcome respite, soothing your dry throat.
For the rest of the day, Seijuro tended to your needs diligently. He brought you medicine, prepared a simple meal that he insisted you eat despite your diminished appetite, and made sure you stayed hydrated. His presence alone provided a sense of comfort, his unwavering care evident in every action.
He sat by your side, reading to you softly, his soothing voice lulling you into a peaceful slumber. Throughout the day, Seijuro checked on you regularly, adjusting the blankets, offering encouraging words, and providing comfort in the form of his reassuring presence.
In between naps and bouts of weakness, you'd find Seijuro sitting at the edge of the bed, a concerned expression on his face, occasionally brushing a strand of hair from your forehead with a gentle touch.
As the evening descended, he prepared a warm bath for you, easing some of the discomfort. Seijuro made sure you were settled back in bed, placing a hand on your forehead once more, feeling your temperature slowly subside.
"Rest now," he murmured, his tone soothing and comforting. "I'll be here."
Seijuro stayed by your side throughout the night, occasionally waking you to ensure you were hydrated or taking your temperature. His unwavering care and attentive demeanor made you feel cherished and protected, despite the illness.
The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, you woke feeling considerably better. Seijuro was already up, preparing breakfast with the same composed demeanor, yet the glint of relief in his eyes was unmistakable.
"Feeling better?" he asked, turning to face you with a small smile.
You nodded, managing a weak smile in return. "Thanks to you."
Seijuro's care during your illness had been a testament to his unwavering dedication and affection, his quiet acts of kindness leaving a lasting impression on your heart.
Hope you liked it :)

HELLO.
I don't know if you can write this but
I want to request a Akashi x Reader thing like like kien hahvahsbs (THIS IS A FIRST TIME U REQUEST FROM YOU)
The reader is Akashi's best friends since children but sadly they went to another country bc of family business and stuff. Years later they found each other and hugged after a long time ongomgogm
Am so sorry if this is such a struggle 😭😭
I love how my blog is technically also about KNB not somehow I never wrote anything only Kuroko no Basket related, and yet my first request is about Akashi who is (in my opinion) one of the hardest character to write about 😭🫶 But love you and I hope you enjoyed it, sorry it took me so long
Gn!reader x Akashi Seijiuro
- You and Akashi did not hit it off right away, it was more of a slowburn when you were kids. At first you felt jealous about how amazing he was in everything he tried just once, but the more you spent time with him, the more you felt sorry for him. It was actually awful to be perfect.
- One day when you were 5, you just told him, that he is amazing, but not only because he is perfect, but he will still be amazing even if he fails from time to time, which felt so off from what he was taught, so he didn’t believe you at first. What do you mean fail? But later on, he somehow felt comforted by your presence just because he knew that, if he ever fails, you won’t judge him for it. And it was a beginning of a very strong friendship.
- For years you and Akashi were the strongest duo know in the school. He would always have your back and everyone knew they cannot say anything bad about you, if they want to live. And Akashi would know that he can always count on you whenever he just needed comfort, even a silent one. You were a ride or die.
- … Until your dad got a job overseas right before middle school. You two were so exciting to go to Teiko together, and now none of you wanted to even say out loud how heartbroken you felt.
- He gave you a necklace to keep, just a simple chain with a jade on it - jade was always associated with emperor, so it naturally reminded you of him. However none of you decided to give any emotional speech. The only words that lingered in between you two was “we will meet again”
- For a year you kept in touch by messages, but the longer you’ve been gone, the less frequent it got. You kept tabs on Teiko’s amazing wins, but you could feel that something changed in Akashi.
- Between second year of middle school till second year of high school, you stopped talking at all and it broke your heart. You still wore the necklace everyday.
- Around beginning of second year of high school, you got a call out of the blue. It was him.
“Hey” you heard a familiar voice. It got a little more deep and rough, but it still brought back so many memories. “I didn’t know if you’ll answer”
You stayed silent for a while. “Of course I would”
After this couple words an awkward silence filled the line. What else could you say? How are you? What were you doing for the past years?
“I’m sorry” he said. You knew Akashi Seijiuro for years and one thing that you probably never heard from him was an apology. And him ordering fast food. “I missed you. I don’t think you would be proud of what person I was in the past years” His voice felt a little weak, for the proud and amazing Akashi Seijiuro you knew.
“Good. It means you are no longer perfect, doesn’t it?” You decided to keep quiet about how sad it made you to not get a single message in the past years.
“Yes. I guess so”
- After this surprising call, you came back to keeping in touch with each other. You were still in high school overseas, but now finally feeling Akashi’s presence in your life, it felt better, fuller. However also quite empty.
- You were having a phone call at least once per month when you talked like nothing changed. He told you that he plans to play basketball after high school, but wants to go to Tokyo University first. And that was the moment you decided what you want to do with your future too.
~ Two years later ~
Waiting for a luggage never felt longer than now. Why the hell did you have to bring this huge suitcase? Maybe carry on would be enough, for a whole damn moving back to Japan?
You noticed that you started sweating uncontrollably. Of course, now, when you really want to smell like this nice expensive perfume, you will stink like a shoe on a hot summer day. Perfect.
When you finally collected proper baggage, you slowly went towards the arrivals gate. It’s been six years when you last saw each other. Six whole years. What if he won’t recognise you anymore? You were playing with the jade on your neck to calm yourself down.
When you went through the door, you started to look around. Somehow in your mind Akashi is still a small boy with red hair, and you could only imagine how much he changed by seeing his pictures in the magazine photos. Would it be embarrassing if you mistake him for someone else? Doubts started to fill your head. And then, in just one moment, they all disappeared when you saw a familiar face in the crowd.
He got tall, extremely handsome, and he looked just so mature. Your eyes met and he smiled lightly. And in that very moment you felt like everything melt inside of you.
You fasten your steps and when it was only meters away, you dropped your suitcase and jumped into his arms. In this moment you were so thankful for all of this years of heavy training he did, because he held you like you weight nothing, and holding you was the most natural thing to do. You pressed your nose to the crook of his neck.
“Hey” you heard his deep voice, just like two years ago in your phone, but this time, it was louder and clearer. “I missed you”
You felt like your eyes started to water up. You moved away a little to look at his face.
“Yeah, I missed you too”
And on one hand you felt like nothing change and no time has passed, but on the other, just in this moment, you felt like everything will change from now on.

To The Last Sip
A/N: Hey hey y’all!👋🏿 Yes, yes, I K N O W.  I haven’t written up and posted anything here in an inordinate amount of time and for that I am truly sorry.😭 I’m not even gone get into the long drawn out story, but just know…it’s been a trip y’all. 🙃
SO!
As a lil’ apology and sum special for y’all, I decided to do a Yandere Halloween prompt! The prompt is listed down below, as is a link to the post/blog from which I pulled it.
She's a shorty but a goodie, and please leave any more Halloween related prompt ideas below!
Enjoy~
Tumblr media
“I can never get enough of you. I’ll drink you down to the last sip.”
He was insane. You knew that from the start, hence why you did your best to avoid him.
He was fond of following you- as he called it, “keeping watch.”
You called it stalking, as would any even relatively sane person.
Day in and day out, you would catch glimpses of him in your peripheral. Each time, his eyes would inevitably be trained on you.
You, admittedly unfazed by his odd behavior, went about your daily business, paying little mind to the freak trailing you.
Eventually, for a moment anyway, you felt a pang of pity for the strange boy. It couldn’t have been easy making friends or any worthwhile connections being so…unusual.
And if you knew anything, you knew that in this world, it was unfortunately all about who you knew, not so much what.
Looking back though, you wonder if maybe you underestimated your friendly personal creep.
You highly doubt he could have orchestrated something like this without the help of someone else. Your creep didn’t appear to be particularly well built, at least not to the point that he could render someone unconscious and carry them an indeterminate distance all by himself.
But then again, underestimating him initially is what got you in this situation.
Waking up in an unfamiliar bedroom was decidedly new for you, but so cliche that if your head wasn’t pounding like someone had taken a jackhammer on the highest power setting to it, you would roll your eyes.
You surprisingly weren’t bound, so you were free to move about the room as you pleased.
It was spacious and well furnished, with plush carpeting and a large television sitting atop the dresser across from the bed.
Unsurprisingly though, the door to exit the room was locked. You groaned internally at this, but immediately turned to try the single window, the only other potential entry and, most importantly, exit point.
It too was locked. And strangely enough from the outside, as there were no locking mechanisms to be found on the inner frame.
Irritated, you flopped back onto the bed, wary of falling back asleep, but needing to at least shut your eyes until the remaining headache ebbed away.
It was probably about 5 minutes before you heard the telltale ‘click’ of the lock on the door turn.
You shot up, pushing yourself as far away from the door, and the man entering through it, as possible.
Upon seeing you conscious, the man’s eyes brightened almost comically.
“My Desire, you’re awake.”
He accelerated toward you, stopping abruptly once he recognized the apprehensive expression on your face morph into an icy fury.
“Look, I don’t know and frankly don’t care what kind of freaky, Wattpad style fantasy you’re trying to live out here, but I want absolutely no part of it. You need to let me go.”
Your voice was firm and unwavering, your gaze much the same.
Sure, there was a possibility that this maniac could hurt you or worse, but you’d never been one to cower in the face of challenge.
This asshole had no right to manhandle you, uproot you from your life and lock you away like some treasure to be coveted. The whole premise was very shallow and selfish, and it infuriated you to no end.
Your kidnapper stood in silence for some moments, before a sick chuckle began to bubble up from his chest. It lasted for some seconds, before it eventually became loud, raucous guffaws that shook his body and your eardrums.
You, however, were very unamused.
“Why are you laughing, bastard? What’s so fucking funny?” By now you were becoming tired, and the sooner this freak left you be, the sooner you could get some rest and more completely plan your next course of action.
“It’s just so funny,” he began, kneeling down and sliding forward on the silk bed sheets towards you.
“Do you have any idea how I’ve longed to have you here with me? How desperately I’ve desired to experience the feeling of going about my business within this house, and pausing, only to remember that you- my perfect, darling Desire- are upstairs, waiting to welcome me with open arms?”
“That will never happen.” You narrowed your eyes, cutting the maniac with a severe glare.
“Perhaps not any time soon, but eventually you’ll grow to love me as I’ve grown to love you.”
“I highly doubt that. That’s not how love works.”
The man shrugged, once again standing to his full height.
“Not to you. Maybe not even to others. But all that matters is that it “works” for me.”
He turned, making his way toward the previously shut door, and you had half a mind to tackle him down while he wasn’t looking.
That could prove quite idiotic however, and so you remained in your corner, studying him and anticipating his next moves and words.
Once his hand sat perched on the doorknob, and his foot sat poised to guide him out of the room, he turned to speak over his shoulder. His words, spoken in a raspy, reverent but nevertheless chilling tone, sent a shock of pure ice down your spine.
“You are mine. From this day forward, you belong solely to me. And if I were you, I’d get with the program sooner rather than later. I am the single most dedicated, persistent person you’ll ever meet, and I will never give up on the future we could, that we will have together. I could never get enough of you, my love.”
He fully stepped out of the doorframe, and pulled the door towards him until naught but his lips and a single wide eye could be seen.
“I’d recommend you get comfortable. Because if you remain uncooperative for too long, I’ll be forced to drain you dry.”
The door fully shut, and that telltale click sounded once more, as did his now muffled voice.
“Beware Y/N, I will drink you down to the last sip.”

Can I request an spicy present for Seijuro's birthday??? I love your content <3
Hiiiiii there <3 since I'm already answering this 3 days past his birthday, I figure I should make this short bc if I were to write an actual OS that would come out waaay past him birthday lmaoo 😭 so this is more a drabble, I hope you enjoy it still!
Tumblr media
MDNI 18+
Pairing: Akashi Seijurō x fem! Reader all characters are 18+
Warnings: reader wears lingerie, mention of Akashi being a service dom, overworked Akashi (I'm sorry but the idea of him being tired from working too much is so 😩😩), Akashi calls reader "princess" and my love, reverse dymanic (kinda), oral (m! receiving), reader swallows, whimpering! Akashi 🧎🏾‍♀️
Tumblr media
Seijurō doesn't expect anything from you, ever. How things usually go, he is the one treating you, almost like it's his sole duty on this Earth to make his girlfriend his princess.
So Seijurō is properly confused when he comes home to you wearing this set of lingerie he bought for you couple of weeks ago. He doesn't understand why you welcome him with such a heavenly sight, when there is seemingly no reason for you to do so. And seeing that smile on your pretty lips doesn't help either. It's sweet, like all your smiles are, but there's something alluring with it, and it's surely something he isn't used to. So, naturally, he asks:
"What's going on, princess?"
And you reply, not with your words, but with your hands that go to meet the buttons of his shirt, stripping the fancy fabric from his body. As your fingers roam on the soft skin of his torso, you look up to him, mere centimetres away from his face.
"It's your special day Seijurō, let me treat you" you say voice full of honey.
And it hits him, that it is indeed his birthday. He's been so busy working, trying to do his best in this hectic period of the year, that he's forgot himself. But here you are, bringing him to this realization, and he would almost cry if he wasn't so enticed by your pretty eyes. Your lips meet his in a kiss full of passion, as you pull him towards the bed. He falls on it, and you straddle his lap.
"So, birthday boy, what do you want?" You ask as your fingers reach to unbuckle his belt.
He doesn't know what to say, a bit phased by this new dynamic, a bit hypnotized by the sight of you like this. So willing to please him, to be the one to give tonight. At lost for words, he doesn't ponder his answer longer, simply replying:
"Surprise me, my love."
And you do, you do surprise him when you strip him of his clothes and get on your knees, your warm palm stroking his cock through the fabric of his underwear. It surprises him, when you get his pretty cock out and you lay a kiss on the tip, a soft giggle leaving your lips when your eyes meet his. You surprise him, with the warmth of your mouth, taking each inch with so much love that it makes him shiver.
Seijurō doesn't know how to think anymore, being absolutely taken by the bliss you've put him in. And as he runs his fingers in your hair, a soft moan escape his lips.
"Please Sei-chan, be loud for me" you demand.
A tint of furious red paints his cheeks. Seijurō doesn't make a lot of sounds when with you, maybe too timid to allow himself to so outwardly express his pleasure. But seeing the expression on your face, he doesn't restrain himself anymore.
And you smile, taking him in again under the song of the prettiest moans and whimpers you've ever heard. He is so pretty, you think looking up at his blissed out face. So pretty, that you want to shower him with all the love you've got. You love him so much, so so much.
The subtle thrusts of his hips indicate that he is nearing his orgasm and before he gets to pull out, you take him deeper down your throat. Swirling your tongue the right way, it doesn't take him long before he releases himself in your mouth, the sweet taste of him falling on your tastebuds.
You let him out in a pop, leaving one last kiss on his tip before wiping the bit of cum falling from the corner of your mouth. Seijurō's is red and panting, the beginning of the mess you ought to make of him.
"Shall we keep the birthday party going?"

Hi beautiful!!
I was wondering if you can write a drabble, or whatever you want, about weird habits of the Gom+Taiga (maybe Takao also? He's such a cutie).
That would be fun!
Love,
V.
HI VESPER HEHEH
this was legit so fun to make lol
Enjoy~!
H/Cs of Their Weird Habits/Traits
Akashi Seijuro
bites his nails
especially when he's anxious? he's also a perfectionist so it kinda makes sense
he likes talking to Yukimaru (his horse)
he's actually very soft and caring for his lil white horsey
Id think hes the mom of the GOM
he has everything everyone needs even if it's smth insane idk
"Hey does anyone have cotton pads?"
this bitch pulls a container from his pocket
"Here, keep the container as well."
"What? I only need one-"
"I insist."
he also paces when thinking
sometimes he accidentally paces Yukimaru and he be like "Oh- we've been going around in circles this entire time... Sorry, boy. I have quite a lot on my mind lately..."
Idk why but I always thought him a heavy sleeper
he despises getting up in the morning
Kuroko Tetsuya
he always orders the same food at a restaurant
like bro pick something new
I don't think he likes trying new food very much
to the point that he'd become a regular customer
"Hello! Welcome to [store name]! Ah, it's Kuroko-kun!"
"The usual please."
"Coming right up!"
this guy also has imaginary friends
he's invisible right so when he wants to talk to someone and no one can hear him he talks to his 'imaginary friends'
it's a habit that he picked up in childhood
its kinda sad now that i think about it LMFAO
Midorima Shintaro
this guys personal hygiene is INSANE
he will spend like an hour in the shower making sure that every single square inch of his body is clean
he also likes wearing mens perfume
idk he just seems like that kinda person to me
he also refuses to leave any food on his plate
even if he's like really full
you will not see a single grain of rice left on this man's plate
istfg he'd lick it clean if he could
he sleeps with a lil bear stuffed toy every night
his first lucky item ever
and he kept it ever since
Kise Ryouta
Ik this is kise but somehow he gives me the vibes of planning everything down to the smallest detail
"So this is our itinerary for today! At 1:00 we can take a little lunch at Maji Burger, and we should finish at around 1:50, and we should go to the bathroom before leaving so 10 minutes is enough for that I think... and then-"
reminds me of Monica from Friends lol
originally I thought this for Midorima but then I imagined Kise being all enthusiastic about his plans and I was like yeah that sounds about right
this guy likes to whistle too
like
to songs
and sometimes you'd catch him whistling to a BTS song while in the men's locker room
Aomine would tease him for it but Kise always says that he likes Kpop
Aomine Daiki
Going off of Kise's, he thinks its funny and cringe that Kise listens to Kpop
Even though he listens to Kpop himself
he'd never admit it
so he's afraid of bees right
canonically he is
he always lets out this shrill scream
literally the only time he screams like a girl
oh and he breaks things when hes angry
the only thing he hasn't broken before in his house when he was angry is his mai-chan magazines LMFAO
Murasakibara Atsushi
so he's canonically tone deaf
which means of course he likes to hum a few songs every now and then
no one knows what the hell he's humming
Himuro always knows tho SOMEHOW
"Murasakibaracchi, what are you humming this time?"
"Ehh... I forgot the title of the song... the chorus kinda goes like-" *hums random notes*
Himuro goes "Oh is that California Girls by Katy Perry?"
"Yeah... That one. I like the music video..."
the GOM just looks at Himuro and him with shock
the GOM eventually gave up on asking tbh
and
he LOVES Disney
Kagami Taiga
this is weird but idk he sniffs frequently?
I think this is a habit that he picked up in America
I have no idea
also he can't drive
like literally his hand-eye coordination should be better because he'd a basketball player but when it comes to driving it just all goes away
Aomine tried to teach him at one point
lets just say Aomine was more scared than he was when he met Kuroko for the first time
also you can almost never understand what he's saying when he's typing
he doesn't even have autocorrect which idk if thats better or worse
"hy fo we habve pporactiove tiduay"
"...what?"
he often resorts to voice messages instead
Takao Kazunari
100% adrenaline junkie
loves skydiving and hiking and traveling to very risky places
but he CANNOT for the life of him ever go to a historically haunted place
he also has a playlist in Spotify for every single mood he's in
like literally he has like 10+ playlists
Can be wild and normal
He has playlists from "Driving late at night" to "sewing machine vibes"
what even is that Takao
also he loves video games
he owns litearlly every single major game released since like 2001
he has finished every single one of those games and has a shelf to stack them
Playstation, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo PC
he has all of them
Bonus:
hes AR60
mains Hutao and Ganyu, depending on his mood
Hutao's highest crit is 2 million
he's also soft for bennett

Basic Instinct (Akashi X F!Reader)
A/N: My Akashi drabble! I think. I never do word count so I never know if it’s actually too long or not... Warning: mentions of parentification, toxic parents, mentions of neglect and mental illness. I’m using some of my own experiences growing up with a mentally unstable mother, so the reader is female coded due to it.  Don’t worry, my Takao headcanon will be out soon! Masterpost Seijuro Akashi had not expected to be feel so exhausted after losing for the first time. His pleasure in basketball had returned to him, as well as his original personality, but it seemed like everything else was collapsing. His father was understandably pissed for having lost the Winter Cup and had doubled the extra tutoring he was given. Aside for the usual likes of eating, taking a shower, going to bed, he did nothing for himself. He didn’t even had time to sit down to read a book in the weekends anymore. But amidst the crumbling of his world, there seemed to be one person that noticed just how hard he was struggling to breathe. You. His other personality had dismissed you as nothing but an annoyance and as someone wasting their future, as you clearly were an intelligent student considering you never failed a class despite skipping often. Vivacious, playful and bright, everyone tended to dismiss your behavior. It was like you had everyone wrapped around your little finger. But after you had started annoyingly keeping an eye on him, he did some of his own. As in digging. It hadn’t been difficult to find your mother’s diagnosis. It had been easy to find a neighbor willing to admit that they spotted you bringing home your mom, who always seemed very drunk whenever the two of you had a family gathering, that your mother often seemed to behave like she was your younger sister instead of your mother and that they’d often heard the two of you fighting.  Even easier to watch you every day, and to notice the little things like the occasional reluctant tremble of your lip whenever school was over, like you did not wish to go home. His other self had grown uncomfortable under your gaze, like you could see into his soul. Something he certainly hadn’t given you the permission for. His original self, on the other hand, whilst still a tiny bit terrified, was mostly relieved at your knowing (e/c) eyes always looking out for him.
Two souls who didn’t had much of a childhood. Two souls forced to grow up early. Two souls carrying a burden they shouldn’t bear. Two souls who handled it with surprising grace and maturity. Two souls who had found each other. Akashi decided to approach you after school, one time when training was cancelled because of the flu going on and half of the team and their coach being sick. He wanted to open up to you, get to know the girl who smiled like the sun in spite of her heavy heart.  Seeing you during lunch break had basically convinced him to do it.  You had been talking to the girl in the seat next to him.  “But, don’t forget Mari-Chan, if Yamazaki does turn out to be cheating, I’ll sell my soul to the devil to have him killed and burn in hell for all eternity.” You swore, with a deadpan look that made your friend giggle. You flashed her a cheeky grin, because there was one thing you very much liked doing; making your friends smile. Brightening their moods.  That was why you were a friend he’d like to have. Your consistent lively, almost cheery attitude that held so much caring intent behind it, was infectious. He surprisingly found himself in need of it.  You were just about to put in your headphones, a heavy sigh leaving your lips until you noticed his approaching figure. “Akashi-san,” you greeted politely, and he smiled at you. “I noticed you didn’t ate that much at lunch today. How about I take you to Maji burger?” He asked, knowing the Maji Burger in Kyoto was on your way home. You eyed him suspiciously, and he admitted, it might have been a bit too much for a first conversation, but he didn’t like the idea your mother wasn’t ensuring you ate enough. “Fine, but you better not pull something on me.”  You noticed Akashi seemed a bit nervous at Maji Burger, so you asked him what was up. “If I am to be honest, I should be home by now and following my extra classes.” He admitted, and exhaled deeply as he decided to be honest with you. After all, he knew more about your homelife then you did with his. If he was going to be your friend, he should play open cards, he reasoned.  Instantly, your casual demeanor changed, becoming serious at the drop of a hat. “Akashi, you’re at the top of our class. You’re student council president, captain and pretty much the most competent person in our entire school despite you being a First Year. You don’t need extra classes,” your voice was kind but stern, “What you need, is to relax. To let yourself have fun, even if it means slacking. Otherwise you will never have a great life.”  “Do you seriously think being a slacker will bring you a great life?” Akashi asked, a brow raised at the notorious slacker. “Not slacking per se,” you retorted. “It’s about giving yourself some air and perhaps a laugh or two when you need it. Aristotle says a great life has known both great sadness and great joy. It’s about knowing both and the balance within it, kinda similar to Taoism in that aspect. It’s my life’s philosophy, and I’d rather listen to people who have been praised for millenia throughout history then to your father who most will have forgotten about in two hundred years, no offense.” You responded, and Akashi couldn’t stop one of the corners of his mouth from curling up at your remark. Nobody had ever put his father’s parenting down like that, whilst providing a rather solid argument. Akashi could feel cupid’s arrow passing through his heart as he replied, “None taken. Perhaps you could teach me a thing or two about having a great life.” Your cheeks flushed, but your eyes were glittering with excitement. “I’d be honoured.” Akashi was feeling bold, and as if he could breathe, as he smiled.  Defying his father felt good. Really good.
Together, the two souls will find great joy.

Hey! I️ hope you’re doing well. Your writing has improved so much and I’m excited to see what content you come up with! DONT FORGET TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!! Now if you don’t mind maybe prompt 3 with Akashi? Hehehe I’m a sucker for him...
KUMIKOOOO I MISSED U TY LOVE I HOPE URE DOING EVEN BETTER AND EATING WELL! STAY HYDRATED AT ALL TIMES U HEAR ME!
i hope you enjoy your 3
It’s truly scary how in only one mere moment a person reveals a side of theirs you never knew existed, a side you never thought you would ever have to face, not from them—not from him. And in that moment, you start to doubt everything there is about them.
It’s as if that moment had changed everything you thought you knew about them, your mind feels clouded and your heart feels conflicted. With both of them unable to comprehend what’s going on, you’re left to drown in the uncertainty.
If you really knew Akashi then how did it come to this? How are you on the ground right now with nothing but a menacing aura standing over you and a throbbing cheek.
Your heart was beating at a fast rate you didn’t know it was capable of and all color was drained out of you except for the redness in your cheek.
Without a doubt your cheek painfully throbbed—hurting like hell but it was nothing compared to the pain in your heart, the arrow that was brutally shot right through it the second he laid his hand on you.
“_____” your name was the only thing Akashi could mouth as he watched your figure crumble in front of him as if you’ve seen a ghost.
It was safe to say Akashi had let his feelings get the best of him. He never meant for this to happen. The two of you weren’t having the best days together lately, he’s highly aware of that but he never knew it affected him this much.
To the point where he felt like his words only weren’t enough.
He didn’t know what to do with himself right now. What were the two of you even fighting about, he doesn’t know anymore nor does he want to. All he wants right now is to fall on his knees and beg for your forgiveness.
And then make sure to torment himself for as long as he can for hurting the one person who’ve always been there for him even when his own father did not want to.
Oh, how would his mother feel looking down on him right now. Laying his hand on the person he should love and protect. On the same person that loves him more than anything and anyone.
A disgrace, that’s what he is.
No, disgrace alone doesn’t even cut how sickening he truly is. Everyone was right all along, he really must be a two-faced monster.
Kneeling, he tries touching the cheek he violently tainted with his hand in the utmost gentle touch he can afford only to have you smack his hand away and immediately take a few steps back.
“H…h-how could you?” you faltered.
Mustering up whatever strength you still have in your knees, you stand up. You look at him with nothing but fear and most of all disappointment. In an instant all the trust you had in him was broken, just like the promise he made you.
“I’ll never hurt you, I promise.”
Bullshit. If that was a lie then who knows what other lies he’ve told you? If he couldn’t even keep the promise that was supposed to be done so easily when it comes to the person you love then why should you stay.
“I-” He spoke.
“Funny how I thought you’d be my hero, my knight in shining armor when right now, you’re the thing I’m most afraid of.” you spat, interrupting him.
That was the last he ever heard or saw from the person that could have been his all.

MIMI maybe I get older!seijurou taking his s/o out for shopping and basically spoiling and doting on her!! thank you and I hope this is okay!! 🥺💞💞💞
I WILL DO AS MUCH AS YOU WANT. OFC THIS IS OK. I FUCKING LOVE YOU SO MUCH. A small drabble with the headcanons since its you, Di bae.
INHALE EXHALE.
Tumblr media
First of all, Akashi-kun is super rich so anything his s/o wants, he gets it.
She just has to lay her eyes on the thing and Akashi-kun will have it for her in a matter of few minutes.
He particularly enjoys spoiling his s/o when she is not looking and he surprises her with it.
Akashi woke up a bit earlier than usual, his girl was still fast asleep after being tired from last night's activities. Today was not an ordinary day, after all, it was their anniversary. And you would be surprised but the red-head had gone all night so to wake up with a few hours of sleep was something he wouldn't do every other day.
He went downstairs to prepare her favorite breakfast, pancakes, waffles, and chocolate strawberries. The aroma of the delicious food woke you up. "S-Seijuro?" You looked around the bed and he wasn't there. Smelling the delicious food, you went downstairs to find your boyfriend naked in an apron. "Well, hello there empress." He chuckled seeing you blush as he made his way to you. "Happy anniversary, darling."

stumbling through the door of your shared apartment is midorima, with stiff muscles, a pounding headache and a grumbling stomach. the strong smell of his cologne fills the house and you happily call out for him from your place on the sofa of the living room. he merely shrugs off his coat and slumps onto the sofa, his body heavy in your arms. you instantly know the day must have been hard for him, like you always do. he is content with the fact that you don’t even question him and just know what he needs the most. raking your fingers in his smooth green hair, you place a soft kiss on his forehead, and midorima is sure he’ll burst into tears any moment, so he nuzzles further into your neck. you tell him you’ve made stew for dinner and will run him a bath. who once was a cold and stoic midorima, is now melting in your arms. he can’t help but think how lucky he is to have you. even if he loves his job, hours at the hospital are depressing to him, the white walls and bright lights prick at his eyes. but you are here, at a home both of you have created and waiting for him. and so midorima knows that no matter what, you’ll always keep him safe in your arms.

Decorating for Christmas
AKASHI SEIJŪRŌ x READER
Tumblr media
Genre: fluff, Christmas event!
Warnings: none other than tooth rotting fluff
(a/n): hey! Ik there would normally be a cut, but for this to be a bit faster there may be some that have no cuts or read more, I apologize in advanced, I am on my phone writing this as of right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sound of Christmas bells spread through the house as ginger wafts through the air. The fireplace doing it's hardest to provide heat to the entire house. However where you are is just warn enough... In your husband, Akashi Seijuro's arms. As he holds you tightly as you out the finishing touched on your ginger bread man. The gingerbread house- well castle he made sitting on the side towering over your little man.
"Sei.. I think you went a bit over board with the house... It's not even a house anymore" you giggle as he burrows his head into your shoulder.
"I'm sorry my love but I only wanted the best for you, as my lover that is what you deserve... And so much more..." Gives you a light kiss on your cheek. As your face erupts into a mad blush, you push him away trying to hide it.
He gives a small pout at losing his warmth then looks around at the boxes with lights, ornaments, inflatable snowmen, and other decorations. This is the first Christmas you guys have spent together since being married. Life can be stressful especially with Seijuro's status; you make it work though. Normally he wouldn't have time for stuff like this. However not a lot of work had to be done, so after that was done he took off and told people to go home.
Home...
You said you didn't want a really big mansion, you didn't want a really fancy car. That wasn't 100% possible since it would put people out of jobs and neither of you wanted that, so instead you guys have a "vacation home", if you two want to get away you go there and not to the manor.
With the box in your hands you place if on the table and start getting out the lights. The table from Ikea that you both built together shook a bit anytime you put pressure on it but that's fine. Your gentle hands that warmed his chilled persona, tried hard to untangle the lights.
"Can you not just stand there staring and help me... Please..." You pout with pleading eyes. "My parents are going to be here anytime now, and you know how the me and my old lady butt heads."
"Ah- I'm sorry my dear, I was just enamored by your beauty." The smirk that places itself on his lips is infuriating.
"You were always a smooth talker..." You occupy yourself with setting up the ornaments for when your parents get there so you all could decorate the tree together.
"where do these go..." After a bit of time went by Akashi holds up a few stockings with the cutest confused look on his face.
"oh! Above the fireplace, get the hammer and nails to hang them!" The sweat on your forehead drips down the side of your face.
Akashi furrows his eyebrows. "Love... I think that's enough...."
"B-But Sei! We still have all the fake icicles and stuff-" as he gives you that captain stare you shut up and nod.
"it's time for some hot chocolate and cuddles please... We can save the rest for when your parents arrive. Ok?" You nod with a yawn and walk into your house with Akashi right on your tail ready to forget all about his hot chocolate and just drown in your company.
It was fun though... To decorate with your one and only...

I’m about to go off about AkaFuri
Usually I would share these thoughts on my haikyuu discord but they don’t really appreciate them like I do. So here is my idea for them.
It’s a soulmate au where any version of soulmate bond exists, i.e. color blindness, name, where they first touch you, being able to message each other on your skin, etc.
Soulmate bonds are written and are featured in the rom com movies his mom likes to watch, so Kouki knows what they are but he wasn’t concerned enough with it at 8. He cared more about his books.
It only became real during a school test when tears dripped down his cheeks and he slowly broke down for no reason. Frame shaking sobs and sounds of pain that Kouki couldn’t find a source for. He was excused to the nurse’s office to wait for his mom.
It was with his mom’s arm around his trembling frame that the nurse explained what type his soul bond was. Emotional pain for physical pain, a rare form. It was carefully explained that through studies, scientists found that the pain shared through the bond can be managed. That you can control how much you share. She explained that Kouki is receiving his soulmate’s emotional pain and turmoil and his soulmate can receive his physical pain as a dull ache. He tried nodding to show that he understood the weight of her words.
At night Kouki tries to go to sleep but the pain in his heart is too much, it’s hard to breathe with it arcing through him. And then- it stops, the pain eases, the tears and shaking finally stops. He closes his eyes to get some rest until a similar pain wraps around him like a cloak.
It’s his own. His soulmate is in so much pain and Kouki wants to help, he wants to reach out with his tiny hands and hold them, protect them. If they felt they had to suppress it, he wants to help relieve them. That night he promises to hold onto his soulmate’s emotions, he will take the brunt of their pain and suffering. It’s all he can do for them.
It continues like this for years, moments where he breaks down in tears for no reason, until middle school when an all crushing weight settles on his chest and makes him feel like he can’t breathe. That he is going to fail, that everything he knows is wrong, that he is wrong, and his world breaks- Kouki passes out from the pain.
He wakes in a hospital, his mother’s worried face, his father’s pinched brow, and brother’s concerned eyes are what greets him. He hears from the doctor that his soulmate most likely went through something deeply traumatic, and since it looks like his soulmate has been transferring their feelings through their bond at at least 75%, this pain echoed harshly into Kouki.
The doctor and his parents leave the room to talk outside, Kouki hears his mom ask “Is there anything we can do for him?” before the door completely closes. His brother tries to talk to him about some show that Kouki likes but his mind is somewhere else.
His hand clenches his chest where the immense pain came from earlier, trying to sense any lingering feelings. He feels that his soulmate has come to accept whatever happened to them, maybe even embrace it, so Kouki doesn’t worry too much.
His next year of school the pain comes back but it's so quiet, not nearly as massive as it once was, but it slowly builds. It ebbs and flows through the year afterwards too. Almost as if his soulmate has to chide his feelings for existing at all.
It’s only at the Winter Cup Finals that things start to make sense. Kouki, as a rule, refuses to share his physical exhaustion with his soulmate after defending Akashi. It tells him that he actually did it, he faced Akashi on the court and he won’t let anyone take that away from him.
But as the match wears on the feeling of failure comes in like waves on a sea. They come and go, only to come back stronger, again and again. It is plain to see to anybody on court that Akashi is falling behind- he is faltering. Something that was considered impossible.
The only two people who know what is happening are Akashi and Kouki. Kouki watches Akashi as it happens. The feelings of failure are coming back to the shore, to Kouki, as big as a tidal wave, threatening to crash down on him and sweep him into the ocean. Just at the precipice, just as it starts to crumble down and drench him, it’s gone.
Left are the drops of relief and hope from his soulmate, drops as tender as spring rainfall.
When Kouki see’s Akashi again his eyes are red, and he knows.
The weight of a loss not his own after the game confirms it.
He watches Akashi’s back as he leaves and he remembers his 8 year old promise. His promise to take his soulmate’s pain and suffering as long as it would help them. That it was the only way he could help them.
But he’s right there and he can do so much more to help now. It’s with that powerful promise that Kouki calls out “Akashi-san!”
________
Inspired by Melanie Martinez’s Crybaby, I’ve had this thought for years and I wanted to put it to paper but ehhh nah this works fjdskalfj. I thought the song fit Furihata being bullied and Akashi being emotionally distant beautifully.
These lyrics specifically,
I look at you and I see myself
And I know you better
Than anyone else, And I have the same faucet in my eyes
So your tears are mine
I love this concept so much

“I used to be so in control, but reality's losing its hold. Now, I just don't know where to begin. Just look at the state that I'm in; my mind is in total decay.” - This Maniac’s In Love With You [Alice Cooper]
Tumblr media
The moment Akashi entered his room and slammed the door shut, you knew that there was something wrong with him. He had never lost his composure before or showed any sign of irritation. He had always been the calm and rational one, which was the reason why you fell for him in the first place. You admired how unflappable he seemed, how fussy he could be regarding the health of the people close to him, and how quick he devised solutions to every problem he encountered.
So when you saw him clenched his fists and breathed heavily through his nostrils, you were confused. Your boyfriend was angry, and you didn’t know what to do. Should you comfort him? Should you rub his back? Not all people wanted to be touched when impassioned, and you had no clue on how to alleviate his rising temper.
“Akashi-kun...?” you hesitantly called out and crawled towards him. "Are you... Are you okay?”
Wariness compelled you to create a safe distance between you both in fear of him suddenly lashing out. You would never know how irate Akashi might act out his anger. After all, you had this... assumption that he was secretly a violent type of person. Therefore, it would be wise if you distanced yourself from him for a while. At least, until he calmed down or asked you to accompany him. You hoped it was the latter since you were dying to know what and who had the guts to provoke him at school.
“He was being disobedient,” he muttered through gritted teeth. “thinking that he could freely skip training like that.”
Your tentative and befuddled gaze softened slightly. “Well,” you gnawed your bottom lip to search for the right words to say. Couldn't have yourself become the next target just because you said the wrong things, right? “perhaps he has something important to do?”
“No.” The snap response elicited a flinch from you. It wasn’t intended for you, yet you couldn’t help but feel otherwise. “He was just too lazy to practice because Daiki refused to come. Atsushi thought I was giving him special treatment.”
Akashi huffed and plopped down on the bed. “What a joke. I didn’t give anyone special treatment. How dare did he even think about that? It’s unforgivable.”
Grasping the sheet in your hands, you frowned. Since when did he call his teammates with their first names? Usually, Akashi was polite and stuck to the family name basis. But now, he was different.
It might not be that important, because what was the worst thing could happen from calling someone with their first name? But to you, it was important. It meant everything to you because it connoted an abrupt change in his personality.
Could someone even do that in mere hours? Well, for him, it certainly could.
Disobedience was bound to occur someday. It was unavoidable and one of the many consequences of being a team leader. But to transform himself into a completely strange side? There must be something else that had roused this ‘Akashi’ to live. And to get the bottom of the problem meant that you needed to quiz him secretly. However, it would be a difficult approach. There was a high chance that he would find out about your intention, and no matter how good it was, he most likely wouldn’t appreciate it. In the worst scenario, he might even berate you for it.
After all, he didn’t become a team leader for no reason at all.
“... I don’t like it.” You glanced up and blinked owlishly at his equivocal statement.
“What... is it that you don’t like, Akashi-kun?”
Akashi was silent for a minute, and when he turned to face you, you knew. You knew there was a stranger in those heterochromia eyes. There was no need to deny it. Those eyes told you everything you needed to know about this 'new' self. Those eyes were no longer the same crimson irises that you once loved.
Those were the eyes that belonged to someone that demanded absolute obedience. A superior. An emperor’s eyes.
“I don’t like it if his disobedience ever reaches you.” His pupils dilated slightly as he spoke the next sentences. The sentences that sealed your fate and bound you to him. Like a loyal servant. “From now on, I forbid you from hanging out with him or any male for that matter. If I see you speaking with them, be it classmate or not, I will punish you.”

[knb] - Entry #1
Tumblr media
Art by: Shindou Arata
Pairing(s): Akashi Seijuurou/Momoi Satsuki
Warnings: Slightly AU-ish.
Summary: In which she makes him question his own belief.
——————————————————
Akashi Seijuurou does not believe in fate.
What he does believe in, however, is that mankind controls life himself. After all, God has created them to be on top of the food chain, has he not? Those who let fate play them like a pawn on a chessboard is merely not strong enough to take matters into their own hands — in this world of disorders and madness, power is everything. Akashi Seijuurou has no weaknesses, nor will he ever possess them: the weak is below him, and his orders are absolute.
Yet, there are times when he is brutally reminded of the fact that in the end, he is only mortal. And life does not favor all, not even an Akashi. The first time his belief was defied was when his beloved mother passed away.
And then, he swore to never harbor something even as close to the emotion called love, because feelings were a weakness and that was a luxury he couldn’t afford.
No, he did not love basketball.     No, he did not love the days he spent playing it underneath the roof of Teikou Junior High.
No, he did not love the team they once were before dubbed as the Generation of Miracles. The name was fitting, but utterly ridiculous and none of them ever truly acknowledged it.
The second time his belief was defied was when Rakuzan lost against Seirin.
It is a century before Rakuzan’s defeat, he had told them with absolute confidence during the match. He hadn’t believed in that then — he had known for a fact that victory would be theirs. It had to be. But the bitter humiliation that followed when he was betrayed by fate even after putting everything on the line to secure said victory was abominable, to say the very least. And although his belief hasn’t exactly been swayed afterwards, he supposes that something inside him has undoubtedly changed since his inner counterpart vanished. It is a loss and a relief at the same time — no longer is he tormented by his inner demon, and his power is more absolute now than ever when their abilities are both combined. Still, there are moments when he has to admit he misses the company. After all, it is only him who can truly understand himself. It‘s not that Akashi Seijuurou doesn’t feel. He simply chooses not to acknowledge those feelings, because they are burdensome and useless in his conquest of absolute victory against fate. He deems those who are so openly sentimental misfortunate souls — that’s why he finds the lethargic Atsushi, the inexpressive Tetsuya, and the prudish Shintarou to be less troublesome than others. Ryouta is too loud, Daiki never bends to the rules (the rules bend around him), and Satsuki feels too much.
He has known from the very moment she announced herself the manager of Teikou’s basketball team that her passion would be her downfall: she is too sensitive, too thoughtful, too vulnerable. The way she pulled restless nights to analyze their opponents and the way she cared about every little detail of their team members never escaped his observant gaze. He had to praise her efforts, of course, but he found it terribly ironic how in the end, Satsuki wept for the tragedy of them all even if she had contributed greatly to it herself — sure, they were prodigies, but would they have been able to climb high enough to fall without her enthusiastic help? It’s a shame, he thinks. Because Momoi Satsuki is the only female figure apart from his deceased mother who comes close to leaving a lasting impact in his life. Although they can’t possibly be more peculiar, in a way, she mirrors his intellect, his wits beautifully so — this much he has realized the first time she illustrated her skills for the team to see. The change in her usual cheerfulness, her glimmering eyes was a fascination to behold: he noticed how her gaze would sharpen, her eyebrows would tighten, and the lively look in those ruby hues would be replaced by sheer intent to crush their opponents. While their abilities are quite similar, the basis of them have been different. His Emperor Eye allows him to predict his enemies’ movements on the court, but dare he say, hers far surpasses that. While he can only see the future based on what has happened and what is happening, on existing data; she fills in the blanks herself, goes beyond simple predictions, and knows which courses of action will be taken before the player even knows himself. For this alone, he deems her worthy of being his partner in crime.
But Momoi Satsuki feels and he does not. So at that time, he pretended to not notice how she was breaking inside, gnawing at herself, wilting like the roses in his vase. He pretended not to hear her heart shattering into pieces when he indulged Daiki and Atsushi’s disobedience, and pretended not to hear his own heart tearing itself apart at the look of despair on her face when he told her she was no longer of use to the team. By then, he was too far gone. She was akin to some sort of substances that glued them together, or at the very least, attempted to. But glass was never meant to be fixed that way — once they broke, they stayed broken.
And there are things he can’t possess no matter how powerful he is.
❝It’s time to change members, Momoi,❞ he tells her as the basketball rolls to her feet and she bends down to pick it up. Akashi Seijuurou doesn’t have a weakness, but for a brief moment, he is questioning the authenticity of said fact because her ruby eyes are positively radiant when they shimmer with crystal tears that linger on long lashes, and it prompts him to think that he won’t mind conquering the world for her if only she asks.
❝Everyone is waiting for you.❞
With his affirmation, she runs off to the center of the court in a rush of childlike excitement. He stays behind, watching as she blends in flawlessly with the rest of them, like the final piece to their puzzle — and is reminded that they belong to different worlds after all. His world is too cruel, too chaotic, too evil. It is full of bitter truths and merciless intentions, of immense pressure guaranteed to crush everyone and anyone with a tight fist. Hers is bright and positive and hopeful; she hasn’t given in to the despair that temporarily overtook back in their middle school days, and she doesn’t give up on the boys, ever. She belongs with them, he muses, noticing the way she flushes ever so prettily when Tetsuya compliments her, noticing the way Daiki’s gaze somehow always strays towards her direction even if he’s unaware of it.
He is not selfish enough to tear her away from that happiness, even if it equals to his own.
He doesn’t feel. He shouldn’t feel. ❝Satsuki, I told you already...❞ The rest of Daiki’s sentence falls on his deaf ear as he is suddenly reminded of one particular afternoon they spent in each other’s company.
It took place back in their Teikou days — the happy ones. The rest of the team had gone on to hit the local convenience store that was all too familiar with their alarmingly large expenditure for popsicles and snacks before heading home, but she had offered to stay behind and help him finish planning their strategies for next season’s tournament. The classroom was empty saved for the two of them: they sat beside each other by a window, the only sounds filling the silence were the scribbling of pencil against paper, her gentle voice as she pointed out the data she had analyzed, and him softly humming every now and then to agree with her. There was little need to criticize — she did things with intimidatingly high accuracy, after all.     ❝You could’ve joined the rest, Momoi,❞ he told her once they had finished and she was stretching her arms above her head. ❝I wouldn’t have minded handling the data.❞     ❝Nonsense, Akashi-kun,❞ she exclaimed in that bubbly voice of hers and dismissed his statements with a swat of her hand. ❝It’s a manager’s job! You already have a handful dealing with Captain duties as it is.❞    Well, he supposed she was right.    Silence dawned upon them afterwards, until she decided to disrupt it with a question that bewildered him.    ❝Akashi-kun.❞    ❝Yes?❞            ❝...Why do you never call me by my first name, like you do with everyone else?❞    For a moment, he was at a loss of words. It wasn’t that he hadn’t realized it before, he just never expected her to notice as well. Still, he rather blamed something else for his temporary shock than her actual question. Perhaps, it was the look of childlike wonder on her virtuous face — how those large, doe-like eyes captivated his gaze within’ the confinement of its sparkling hues; or the lightheartedness that escaped her parted lips in soft hums as she then directed her attention elsewhere than his fixated stare, innocently playing with a lock of pink hair that framed her face.     Why, she asked.     Because she was never meant to be more than a manager, that’s why. Because his heart was never meant to spring alive at the mere sight of her, the mere sound of her voice, the mere idea of being in her company. To call her by her name would brought their proximity to another level, and the vulnerability she would’ve been able to see then frightened him.        ❝...You never gave me a nickname like you do the others as well,❞ he pointed out, successfully avoiding the question as she proceeded to flush in embarrassment of being caught.       ❝Mou...Akashi-kun is always right,❞ she huffed and pouted, not able to come up with a reason to justify herself.     The corner of his mouth lifted up in a prideful grin at her remark. ❝Will it make you happy if I call by that, then? Just this once.❞     She eagerly nodded.     ❝...Satsuki.❞     He placed an elbow on the desk and leaned into his hand, captivated as she practically glowered with happiness even at this simple thing, blessing him with a beaming smile that turned her eyes to crescent moons. By then, he understood that he had made a grave mistake when she was no longer Momoi and instead, simply Satsuki — the girl who wore the gold and scarlet of sunset spilling through the window as though they were merely jewelries to accentuate her beauty; who felt fanciful, ethereal, and entirely out of his reach.
❝Akashi-kun!❞   He is startled out of his reminiscence upon the calling of his name. The girl from his trip down the memory lane is there, standing in front of him, only she is present and real and now a young woman rather than the adolescent he once knew: rounded cheeks are refined to soft angles, feminine features more prominent, more defined. Only her eyes remain the same — ever glowing, ever reflective of her optimism and hopefulness.
❝...Thank you,❞ she whispers appreciatively only for him to hear, and the split second in which their fingers barely graze each other’s when she hands him the basketball is a short lived bliss. As her infectious smile prompts him to do the same in return, he finally comes to the conclusion that fragments of her should be locked away for good.  Perhaps, in another lifetime, where he is no longer an Akashi...     fin
