a/n: I’m wearing a new pyjama set, and I’ve been thinking… Also, I know we can see some of their sleepy wear in the fourth season, but let’s imagine for a moment! (Also, please don’t get mad at me about my headcanons… I’m just being silly). Time-skip btw.

First of all, this dude is cold ALL THE TIME! I hate to say it, but he would sleep with socks on. Now that’s out of the way… He would wear a crusty ass red hoodie for over a week. He probably got it from a PR package and will wear it to death. Kenma wears those THICK ASS PLAID PYJAMAS to bed. Long story short, he has to be cozy as fuck. He does not care if he looks mismatched before bed! Especially after a long stream, he wants comfortable bottoms, so he has to just change his top and crawl into bed. Also, he would be the kind of person who plays YouTube videos to fall asleep (usually gaming commentary videos or VODs of streamers).

He wears grey sweatpants to bed and an old T-shirt from high school or something. Not because he can’t afford a new set of clothes. But because why would he go out and buy new clothes specifically to sleep? Somehow, they’re always in pristine condition. Despite having the shirt for years, it still looks brand new. He takes care of his things! Unlike that heathen Kenma, he does not sleep with socks on. However, for slippers around the house, he wears those UGG moccasins. If he’s cold, he’ll probably buy some Uniqlo heat tech to wear to bed.

Oikawa:

Butt ass naked. The same as Kageyama, but he doesn’t wear a shirt to bed (a harlot, but I love him nonetheless). He wears some sorrel slippers with a lot of fur around his place. He has to keep his room at a specific temperature so he doesn’t have to sleep with a shirt on. ALSO, HE DEFINITELY SLEEPS WITH A HUMIDIFIER WHEN HE IS BACK IN JAPAN. Honestly, I can picture him having silk bedding because it’s better for his skin. He is such a material girl, and he’s not ashamed! He’ll also buy sweatpants specifically to sleep in. Again, he’s very particular about it all.

Matching set. He would have silk pyjamas or 100% cotton. He has the money in the time-skip, so why wouldn’t he? He wears Adidas slides inside the house. Or whoever sponsors him. Surprisingly, has an extensive skincare routine? He definitely uses Tatcha and Shiseido (he did a campaign for them!) He also sleeps with an eye mask (he got used to it while travelling a lot for games). I could see him trying to meditate before bed (think those headspace type of apps), but as soon as they start with “now close your eyes and try this breathing exercise-“ he’s out like a LIGHT.

He also opts for sweatpants before bed, but he wears those “long John” (? Might be a Canadian moment for me right now?) undershirts, too! However, this is a ‘special occasion’ or freezing night routine. He’s usually pretty tuckered out after teaching, so it’s not unusual for him to just strip down after a quick nighttime routine and sleep in fresh boxers and a t-shirt. Regular slippers (but with traction). Sugawara would be the kind of person to make some tea before bed, take three sips and then fall asleep. GOD, AND IF HE HAS A PARTNER WHO GAVE HIM A NECKLACE, HE WOULD LITERALLY WEAR IT TO BED! THAT NEVER COMES OFF! The chain stays on during sex. The necklace is either a really lovely gold chain (super simple) OR an adorable handmade one with a charm! He’s so sentimental I’m gonna cry…

Plaid pants or just those really nice silk bottoms. Long sleeves (specifically from Uniqlo, too😋). No shirt, though, if he has a partner. Hehe. Especially if he’s having a long night editing some things for work! He also has a little glasses stand on his desk. He would ALSO be the kind of person who would wear a necklace his partner gave him to bed. Either a silver chain or a dog tag with their initial or inside joke (this is literally rotting my brain, and I’m going FERAL-). He would also be the kind of guy to sleep with wet hair and not really care because he just styles it whatever in the morning. He wears those Yeezy-type slides around the house.

Don't expect Akaashi to be smooth, he is as smooth as sandpaper

He tries to say mushy, sappy lines like "I love you to the moon and back!" or "I would give you all the stars in the sky if I could!" but he just finds them so embarrassing and can't bring himself to spit them out

When he does manage to spit something out they usually come out as an awkward version of what he intended to say

"You're so beautiful." Comes out as "You-your face is great."

Cue embarrassed Akaashi

He can't force himself to say these things but they'll usually come out naturally without him needing to force or ready himself

He gets cold easily, you have to protect him from the harsh winters or he will freeze

His bed is filled with a billion fluffy pillows and thick warm blankets, it makes him feel protected when sleeping though he definitely prefers it when you're there with him

We all know this boi has a habit of playing with his fingers, he usually plays with your hands too, while you two are cuddling or watching a movie his hands are usually fiddling with yours

Speaking of cuddling!! He loves it, he cannot get enough of it, most of your time will usually be spent around his arms but you're definitely not complaining

He's a really good listener, you can tell him anything and everything, he loves listening to you talk even if it's about something ridiculous

He's not a very touchy person unless he's very very comfortable with you, once he is though he'll always be touching in some way you whether it be intentionally or subconsciously

He's a very observant person even outside of the court, he notices your little quirks, habits, and cues

He'll always be the first to know if your upset or feeling down and will immediately drop everything and come to your side

Akaashi will never force you to come to his matches but you always make an effort to come whenever you can, he always feels so much better when he knows your watching from up at the stands cheering him on

His photo gallery on his phone mainly consists of photos of you, he thinks you're the prettiest thing ever even tho he is and he always wants to capture every moment

He's a little dork and keeps a box under his bed with little keepsakes from your dates and times you're together like movie tickets, notes, and photos

He likes looking at these things whenever he misses you

A lot of girls get jealous of you once word got out that you two were dating, Akaashi was definitely popular with the ladies I mean just look at him

Once you two get farther into the relationship and once Akaashi gets really comfortable with you he'll be more relaxed with you and won't feel the need to conceal his emotions and thoughts

He'd smile and laugh more around you and you get to see more of his cheeky side

His laugh is the most melodic thing in the world, you would set it as your ringtone if he'd let you

You two have a lot of inside jokes and he always brings them up in the most random moments 

He's not that into pda, he will submit to handholding and small pecks and kisses because he can't help himself

He's really calming maybe it's because of all the time he's spent with Bokuto but he always has a way of making you feel better and relaxed, he always knows the right things to say or do

This boi is a good student so expect a lot of study dates

Akaashi tends to focus on one thing for an extended period of time and this usually leads to him overworking himself all the time so you usually have to remind him to take a break and relax

He's a really organized person, his room and bag are always in impeccable shape and if you're a disorganized person expect a lot of Akaashi just organizing your things when you're not looking he loves you but it bothers him okay?

He's afraid of spiders, he won't scream or anything when he sees one but he will immediately vacate the room where the eight-legged monstrosity was sighted, you usually have to kill the thing for him unless you're scared of spiders too which means you're both screwed

He's a mom friend, we all know this, he will always make sure you're eating right, he always has a pack of tissues or wet wipes in his bag and he will nag

Going with headcanons!

Akaashi wouldn’t have confessed to you if it wasn’t for Bokuto. He had planned to keep it low and hope that the feelings would fade, but much to his surprise, Bokuto just had to announce that Akaashi liked you in the middle of lunch, where pretty much everyone around him could hear.

The both of you turn red as Akaashi apologizes over and over, telling you that it was fine.

A friend of yours told Akaashi that you wanted to meet him before practice, he was ready to be rejected, if nothing. He’d even planned on how to apologize.

The both of you become a stuttering mess the moment you see each other, so shy that you couldn’t even maintain eye contact. But much to his surprise, you returned Akaashi’s feeling and he was over the moon.

However he wasn’t quite sure on how to progress so he just said “okay,” and he hates himself for saying that. Akaashi couldn’t focus during practice and by then everyone in the team already knew, the teasing and wolf whistles on that day wouldn’t stop.

The next day was worse, the awkwardness between the two of you was so strong that it made others feel awkward too.

Akaashi couldn’t stand the tension between you both and asked you to meet him in the schoolyard after class ended. A strange surge of braveness and courage filled him, but it didn’t last too long.

The moment he saw you it was back to square one. It took a whole minute of awkward silence before Akaashi dropped the question, “do you want to be my girlfriend?”

Of course, you said yes. You agreed on a time and place for your first date and Akaashi couldn’t stop smiling, even as he went for training, even as his teammates teased him and even as he walked home.
