Okay! So I drew Destiny in the style of the HD mod,mainly took inspiration from Darnell's design..but I feel like I messed with the anatomy.especially around the chest area..something just doesn't feel right :(

But overall,I like it! Think I captured the style pretty well!

So,to start off,I feel like in this mod Destiny would most likely hang out with Pico and the gang more,and would probably tag along with them to kill BF in the third week (despite how Pico could've easily done it himself but OK I guess) and probably would be standing next to Nene during the songs (she was so shocked when Nene committed suicide.and on the topic of Nene WHY did they make her homophobic?? Even TOM FULP,THE MAIN MAN HIMSELF,had to come and say that Nene isn't homophobic.including Phantom Arcade!)

Anyways.....yeah she would just tag along like Darnell and Nene...and for the oc x canon part? I kinda hate hd Pico.i don't like how they did my boy in the mod (especially how they took away the fact that he WILLINGLY let bf live and just sang with him,not "playing with his food" or all that)

...I kinda wanna ship Destiny and Pico together like how I did with Pico's School but I don't like HD Pico that much to do it...but if I did he would probably have a crush on her (Destiny probably liked him too but for funzies I wanna make this version of Destiny oblivious to romantical gestures,and all versions of Destiny have never been in a relationship so imma add that for the sake of this) ehh...still won't probably go with it

So I debated for a (long) while on whether or not to answer this mainly bc I’m a little scarred from the intensity of the debate I started last time around this subject haha, but it’s Tuesday, I just got off work, and it’s a subject that I do spend a lot of time thinking about.

First of all, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what you said here and your feelings are your feelings and they’re always valid.

That being said, I do disagree with some of it. I think fanfiction in general is a very sex positive medium, and people explore all kinds of sexual scenarios/fantasies/dynamics and this can be really healthy for many, many reasons.

I also think that exploring this in fanfiction vs OCs or even just plain erotica gives the writing a very different connotation. I would argue that it’s less about inserting sex where it doesn’t necessarily belong, but rather the desire to explore sex in an existing dynamic, usually between two characters you believe are (or should be) in love.

It’s not that Wille & Simon (or whoever) are being sexualized, it’s that people want to explore a scenario where sex (just vanilla or even more kinky “exploitative” stuff) is meaningful and impactful and adds to the existing dynamic between them.

You as the reader or writer already care deeply about these characters, and these characters already have complex, meaningful relationships with you and with each other. That makes it a little bit different than just plain porn or erotica (which I’m not bashing either, just pointing out that they’re different from fanfic).

Whether all of this is well executed is another thing entirely and different people will have different opinions based on their preferences.

TLDR: adding sex in fanfic is less about sexualizing the source material and more about “love-ifying” the sex (if that makes sense)

Aww you’re welcome and thank you, Anon! We don’t get nearly enough of the NRC school stuff in the game itself, but I still love them a lot, so I’m happy you also got invested in them and Crewel specifically.

I like to think that Crewel has quite an active sex/love life. For some reason I imagine him as someone who goes to very specific types of clubs and bars and meets people there (+ maybe people from the fashion industry?) but he could also use dating apps when he’s in the mood for those. Although he seems like the type who needs to see a person with his eyes first, to “smell” them and make sure that they have chemistry.

He doesn’t date; he’s never dated anyone “seriously” in his life. He has a lot of partners though, and he isn’t the nicest person to a lot of them. He doesn’t abuse them or anything, just ghosts a lot of people. He’s a bit of a mess, to be honest lol

Yeah, Jamil has such a seductive vibe sometimes, as if he knows exactly what he’s doing, but in actuality it’s so possible for him to not even want to have sex at all lol he has too many things to worry about. I’m also happy you noted the self-punishment part! I feel like I come back to this idea every time I think about poor Jamil.

If Kalim was his first, I would say it probably happened after Jamil’s Overblot. We haven’t seen the Firework festival yet, so I’m not sure about the level of tension between them during this period… But maybe during Ch5? When they were staying at the Ramshackle, for example. Or even earlier, right after Ch4. Maybe everything that went down made Kalim reflect on his feelings towards Jamil and realise just how much he desires him.

Or maybe they were having sex actively already by the time we met them lol Kalim seems to be so comfortable around Jamil, it wouldn’t be very surprising to learn that all of his sexual awakening was tightly tied to his closeness with him. So I guess it all depends on his horny or childish you want Kalim to be.

Ok and here’s this :in addition to being holder of one of the four elements of nature,they also have an auxiliary power (this of it as being similar to the main element but slight different like branches (so light being a branch from fire , ice for water, metal for earth, and sound ? for air )

Also what about non physical/elemental powers ?(y’know like emotions,illusions,technology,music,etc)

.Cause I was trying to make an Winx oc inspired by your rewrite and her power /title is fairy of the rainbow (so I guess is this case her source of power would be light and fire magic)

oh and how about instead of just being born a witch or fairy,it’s more like idk earning a job ? Like everyone has magic in them and it’s up to them to decide what they want to be (like a fairy,witch or sorcerer/warrior) Also I feel like since Earth low key loves witches and fairies,the relationships between them would be more friendly than they are in Magix ( Roxy and Selina’s friendship being obvious difference) (where they’ve basically been feared/maligned no thanks to the Trix causing massive trouble nearly every year thus making some Magic fairies feel like all witches are no good and are out to do evil (even though magic is a more or less neutral energy that can go either way)

Also what do transformers look like for Earth Witches (same for fairy transformations) I’d feel like they would look different than the witch and fairy forms from Magix (making them look different to make them stand out and thus kinda being looked down upon by them Magic fairies since magic is just coming back to Earth after being severed for centuries by the Wizards of the Black Circle (thus maybe adding to Roxy and Selina’s struggle to fit in at Alfea/Cloudtower during their first year trying to work on their Winx (I thought that would be a good term for both witches and fairies because I couldn’t think of anything’s to call a witch’s first form/transformation)

I'm unsure about implementing relics alongside seasonal spirits/fairies. Feels very very similar to a certain other series (RWBY). But I think the whole seasonal thing could be the opportunity to explore nymphs a bit more. So Diana is the Nymph of Spring for example. I love the idea of Nymphs in Winx, it's just a massive shame they weren't able to explore it further.

I think you'd be born one thing (like you're born a fairy, or you're born a witch/wizard etc) but you're able to transition into a different magical being if that's what your heart desires. Like Mirtha basically.

And yeah, I think using Terrestrial Fairies/Witches could be a great opportunity to show how different the relations are. On Earth they're chummy, but they're in for a nasty shock when they see the Magical Universe. A very big part of Roxy's story is her disgust at the treatment of witches. That stuff ain't gonna fly, not on her watch.

All that you said at the end is mostly correct, except for Believix! I've gone on record a few time about how much I don't like Believix, so it's changed a lot here. Believix is a form created by the White Circle to combat the Black Circle. The Black Circle absorbs magic, so you can't stay transformed around it, Believix is the only form that's not affected by that. It's a weak form, but it's enough for you to hold your own.

Okay, so I've had a bit of time to think on it (not that it bothered me that much, but I did want to try and clarify some things), and a sort of 'follow up' to this post in particular.

A little rambly, so under the cut.

Note that this isn't to talk about that specific anon or the specific issue involved in it, it's just a jumping off point, more or less.

I think people do need a bit of a reminder about 'parasociality' and the boundaries that tend to get ignored/eroded because of it.

To get right to the meat of the issue:

I'm ace. I have a complicated relationship with sex and sexual content. I feel bad when I have to bring up these parts of my identity when explaining these things, but I provide them to sort of give you a better perspective as to why some stuff may not be good to say to me. Why I take them a bit personally.

The long and short of it is, I'm really only comfortable with jokes and the like when either I am the one to publicly initiate, or it's happening between my own friends, in a comfortable environment.

It's why I tend to not let some stuff I tag with 'suggestive' to be reblogged, because that's just not what I want to be spread around and get people making the wrong assumptions about me.

Obviously there's nuance and yadda yadda sometimes exceptions, etc. But this is where I stand, and will not budge, because of a history of people continuously being entitled to the point they think they can disregard my requests to respect this.

So, tying this into the whole 'parasocial' aspect.

Yeah, I'm very casual and chatty, I like to be friendly to you all and I enjoy seeing your commentary and stuff, even if I don't always respond--Honestly wish there was a way to 'like' replies like on twitter, cause I usually use it as an indicator of 'I've seen this and it made me smile :>'

But. And this a big but. That is not an open invitation for you to jump straight to telling me things like "I put your OC in a smash or pass discord channel" or things of a similar nature. That's a bit too much of a boundary break.

Like, removing the context, how weird does it sound for you to tell somebody (who doesn't know who you are) that you put their character in a channel where people rate their desire to 'smash' or 'pass'? It definitely sounds weird to me, and I sure as hell wouldn't say it to somebody I barely even know.

I'm a bit skittish to begin with, so it's definitely not easy for me to loosen up and be comfortable interacting with new people, but stuff like this makes me withdraw back into my shell, so to speak.

I don't mind starting up convos, and if it seems like I'm actively engaging in the dialogue, then you have nothing to worry about, but this also isn't an invitation for Every Single Person to hit me up.

On the internet where those boundaries aren't as visibly noticeable--I can't give you body language to show my mood, for instance--It's very easy to not see that stuff, but I really think people need to take a few moments to consider if they're assuming too much about their relationship with somebody before saying something.

I've heard horror stories about even worse shit happening in the fandom, and it makes me glad y'all are so respectful as it is, which is why I'm not getting boiling mad or anything over this stuff, cause I'm sure you'll listen and understand.

And as far as that specific scenario linked goes: I don't care what y'all discuss about my OCs or my stuff between friends/in private spaces and all that. Out of sight, out of mind. You don't need to tell me, and I'm not gonna Thought Crime you.

The issue I'm taking is with the assumption of things, to the point I do need to go on these several-paragraph rambles, when stuff like that I feel should be basic etiquette.

I love y'all and I am happy people enjoy my things, but please let me stress that as far as interaction with y'all goes, I'm really not that much different from a streamer or something. I'm just a person doing a thing, and people like that thing.

Sorry this got a little long-winded, but I hope I at least made my point, and I'll stress again I'm not mad or anything. It's just been on my mind, so I might as well talk about it.

Chapter vi: Absence

Summary: the loss of someone in your life can be hard to navigate around, even more so when a relationship had only recently blossomed.

A/N: hey y’all, i know it’s been a long time since i posted and that partially because things kept on popping up and i kinda forgot this fic even existed lol. I’m really sorry guys, I know it’s a short chapter, but i’ve had a lot of stuff going on this week and was unable to really sit down and write. Luckily my finals are now officially over, so i’ll have more time to write. I’m currently writing the next chapter, so that’ll be out sooner rather than later—if I remember to post lol.

While it’s only been three months out of the eight scheduled months of Yuta’s time abroad, Toge is going insane. He misses Yuta’s warmth, his reassurance, love, and his ability to understand Kanae in ways that he is unable to — even after all these years. The two still text and FaceTime regularly, but it’s not the same. Kanae helps to ease the pain, but their relationship had been so new when he left, it pains them both. In the days before Yuta left, Kanae scheduled them full of random date ideas, but this did nothing to slow the flow of tears at the airport as Yuta left for Africa with Miguel. 

Kanae, like her beloved, is losing her sanity. Don’t get her wrong, she loves Toge — she would’ve figured a way around the marriage if this wasn’t the case — but Yuta’s a breath of fresh air. A breath the young couple both desired and consumed to the fullest. 

The dynamic between the two hadn’t necessarily been awkward once Yuta left, but after spending nearly every waking moment with someone, the relationship molds itself to have the other in it all the time. Yuta leaving made them reform their relationship for the fifth time. At first it had been kanaeandtoge and yuta, then it became kanaeandtogeandyuta. It was still the three of them, but with newfound distance they had been unprepared for. 

One of the ways the trio compromised with the thousands of miles of useless space was many calls, texts, photos, and videos. This led to Kanae ‘asking’ her adoptive dad to upgrade her phone plan to accommodate the plethora of content growing in her phone. 

“Toru-nii, I changed my storage plan. I got 2TB.”

“What?” 

“It’s an extra forty dollars, so just a warning.” 

“… Okay?” 

“You’re paying for it.”

“When am I not paying for something?” 

“ ‘Kay, thanks!”

With the accompanying spare time of one less person to be with, Kanae has been filling her days evolving her cursed technique, working on her friendship with her older brother, preparing Megumi for the dorms-

“I’m an empty nester!”

“You’re literally my teacher.”

“Kanae-Chan and Megumi-Chan are abandoning me!” 

“We’re still seeing you everyday, Toru-nii.”

“Oh, I can still hear their voices haunting me. Dear Fates, what have I done to have been handed such a cruel deal in life?” (This can be applied to many situations in JJK, and frankly, it hurts).

Megumi grumbled before shuffling towards his warden, who’s on his knees in fake hysterics, and placed a gentle hand on Gojo’s head. No infinity stopping him. Kanae smiled softly and walked over to her small family. She wrapped her arms around her boys tightly.

-which has been fun. He got a room the hall over from his adoring, darling, dearest sister. However, this does little to thwart Kanae appearing at random. She felt it was her sisterly duty to materialize from thin air and either claim a spot in his room and play with his shikigami or would request his assistance. 

Toge and Kanae had more time together than they’ve had in a while, but that did little to squash the ache in their chest for the absence of Yuta. Their beds were bigger and colder. Their rooms were more barren, and their days more boring. There wasn’t anyone else besides the two of them for a long time then they found another, only for them to leave and it hurt far more than they anticipated. 

Toge and Kanae had been togeandkanae for as long as they could remember; promised to each other at the ripe ages of three and four. Even though they never considered an addition to their love, Yuta wormed his way into their hearts and lives before leaving soon after. They didn’t know what to do, they didn’t know how to function. 

Yuta wasn’t there to hang out with Megumi and make Kanae’s heart soar beyond belief. Yuta wasn’t there to get the things that the two of them couldn’t reach because they were both fairly short. Yuta wasn’t there to help ease the pain of Toge’s sore throat. Yuta wasn’t there to help on the days where Kanae could hardly get out of bed, so wracked with guilt and despair that the very thought of leaving the world hidden away beneath her covers was impossible. 

Some times Kanae’s glad that he isn’t there, to be honest. She already feels bad enough that everyone has to see her on the days where everything is too much and she just wants to fade from this life and wait for the next one. After Yuta left, it got too much to handle. One less person to distract herself by giving every possible ounce of affection and adoration she could. Kanae tried to keep it to herself and deal with it in the early hours of the morning and the late hours of the night, but this did little to stop her melt down.

She became erratic during training, sloppy running drills, and has less self preservation. Kanae didn’t mean for any of this to happen, at least she doesn’t think so. She doesn’t want to die. She wants to grow all gross and wrinkly with her friends, family and lovers. She really does. However, in the hours where everything is still, in the hours where she has time to feel and remember, she can’t help but hurt.

One day on a job with Noritoshi, everything came to a head. She lost control for the first time in a very long time. Her older brother, who had never seen this happen, did the only thing he could and called his teacher. Utahime arrived to see the siblings covered in blood, all the curses had been slaughtered and laid dismembered around them. Noritoshi held his little sister as tightly as he could as she sat quietly. Utahime, who also had never seen the girl like this, did the only thing she could and called Gojo.

“Ah Utahime, to what do I owe the pleasure-“

“Kamo-san, she’s… she’s…” The rustling of fabric and small voices in protests could be heard on the other end.

“What about my daughter? Did she get hurt under your watch? Where are you?” Gojo’s voice becoming that of a stern one laced with desperation gave Utahime whiplash.

“She’s not hurt, in fact I don’t think anything even touched her-”

“Spit it out.”

“She’s dripping in blood and there’s carcasses scattered everywhere, Gojo. Is there something I need to know?”

“I will be there soon. Call me again if there are any spikes in cursed energy.” Before Utahime could respond, the line clicked and an annoying jingle could be heard. The teacher and student watched as Kanae slowly blinked and reached into her skirt pocket, pulling out her phone. 

Obviously it’s the one that came out just a few days ago, only the best for Gojo’s little girl. 

“Dad.” The two strained their ears to hear the other end of the conversation, the girl rarely refers to Gojo as her dad around others. 

“No, I’m not hurt.”

“No, it’s not my blood.”

“Yes, I’m with Nori-nii now.”  

“I’ll see you soon.” Utahime wondered just how often this child has seen tragedy befall others for her to still be able to converse while being so clearly not okay. It’s a thought that made her uncomfortable, so she removed it from her mind to contemplate at a later date.

Like so many others.

Gojo arrived soon after and strode straight towards Kanae. Noritoshi hesitantly handed her to him. Gojo pulls her taught to his chest and cradles her as he used to when they were younger. A time that felt so long ago. Kanae curled her hand into his clothes and cried. This made even more weight fall heavily on Satoru’s heart. 

(Kanae is a girl who cries often, this is true. She cries when: she watches a sad movie or show, when she reads a sad book, when she sees something adorable, when she’s angry, when she laughs hard enough, when she’s on her period, and occasionally when she shits. Despite this, she doesn’t typically cry when others think she should. Kanae has days where most can predict her tears, and most of the time they’re correct, but those are only a handful of days. Her family and friends have familiarized themselves with these dates and plan everything they can around it. She cries on her birthday, Christmas Eve, mid November, and her fallen loved one’s death days. Unfortunately, Kanae will soon not know life without tear stained cheeks and red eyes. She will survive, for better or for worse we do not know, but not without a trail of immense pain that will try to drown her at every turn). 

“My sweet, baby girl. You’re safe. I’m here,” he murmurs softly for Kanae’s ears only. However, the silence that surrounds them allows the others to hear. Noritoshi feels slightly envious that Kanae’s father is so warm. He quickly banishes the thought, remembering some of the things she has had to endure to get the loving family she so rightfully deserves.

Satoru slowly turned and began to walk, not before turning back into his ‘strongest’ facade and looking at the other two. 

“I don’t need to worry about a report on this.” This is not a question, nor is it a request. He stated it as an absolute, an indisputable fact such as the sky being blue or him being able to kill them without so much as lifting an arm. Utahime nodded quickly, so Noritoshi followed suit. 

The father and daughter make their exit, letting Utahime finally ask questions. 

“Kanae is in so much pain and I don’t think I will ever know just how deeply she has been hurting.”

This was the only information Noritoshi was willing to divulge to his elder. Utahime pats her student on the back, sighing, before getting back up.

“We will not breathe a word of this to anyone, not even your classmates or your father. Do you understand?” Noritoshi nodded his head.

“Yes, sensei.” 

Kanae had spent the remainder of the day at home, in the luxurious penthouse Gojo had bought for their growing family. Her room, like the one at school, is covered with many different things. The only difference is that these things are far more personal and bittersweet than the ones at her dorm. Mementos of special occasions and intimate reminders of those she lost. It even smells of the past, of a time where all she knew was her mothers death, Suguru’s downfall, and the warmth of those close to her.

Rumor has it that Miguel spent hours either restraining or pleading Yuta to stay with him in Africa rather than be at his girlfriend's side. Toge is the person who ultimately convinced him to not come home. As much as he wanted him to, it would have only led to an extension of his time abroad.

It’s not a very apparent thing, her pain. Only to those who know her well enough. So when she, and the rest of her classmates, gets summoned away for a mission and leaves her brother on his own, she’s fine. However, when she gets a call where all she can hear is her little brother wracked with sobs, she is far from okay. Her first thought is that Satoru is dead, which is quickly proven wrong when Ijichi pulls up with a message from him. She rushes to pile her necessities from the hotel which they were staying at and hurriedly gives her friends a goodbye and Toge a kiss on the cheek. Maki wouldn’t let her leave until she promised to give her a text when she got back to school and another text later that night. 

Megumi, to put it gently, is a complete and utter wreck. He has snot dripping down his nose onto, and most likely into, his mouth. His eyes are puffy and his soft, porcelain skin has become red. Kanae desperately wants to whip out her phone and take a picture in order to blackmail him at a later date, but her first priority is to make sure her brother is okay, which he clearly isn’t. 

“ ‘Gumi-” He practically launches himself through the air and into his big sister’s arms, seeking any comfort he can. 

“He-he’s gone, nee-san! He’s gone!” Kanae’s brows furrow. “Who’s gone, ‘gumi?”

“Itadori!” Kanae’s eyes widen slightly, she has heard of the boy and how remarkable he is from her dad and brother. She didn’t think that Sukuna would have let his vessel die so soon, but she pushes the logic away from her mind for the moment. Megumi comes first, all else comes second. 

“Oh, ‘gumi.” Megumi’s voice cracks repeatedly as his cries become louder. They might have only known each other for a small period of time, but Itadori clearly made a long lasting impression on her brother. 

“He left me, Kanae!” Kanae's heart aches with the remnants of her brother’s. She cradles him in her arms through the tears, even when he tires himself out from crying. Satoru arrives later in the night, noticeably distraught. He watches silently from the entrance of the room as Kanae and Megumi curl tightly around each other in his room. Satoru gently closes the door behind him and slips off his shoes, moving quietly towards the bed, wiggling his way behind his kids. He moves them closer to him and holds them tightly to his body. 

The next day, after a little bit more crying, Kanae is introduced to Kugisaki Nobara, a sweet, headstrong girl. The two get along splendidly and the older of the two listens dutifully as Nobara speaks of Itadori. Even though she calls him an idiot, moron, and dumbass, Kanae knows that his death has rocked her deeply. 

Later she questions Satoru about the incident, and his answers are vague at best. 

“You’ll be very upset with me when you find out the truth.” Kanae sighs before placing a hand on his arm. 

“You’re our dad, so I trust you blindly, but please think of Megumi in your choices.” Satoru has a solemn look on his face when she says this.

“I’m doing the smartest thing I can, I’m trying to keep everyone safe.” Kanae hums softly.

“So he is alive?” Satoru looks at his daughter, a slight twitch in his expression is all it takes for Kanae to know she’s correct. Sometimes Satoru can forget just how brilliant his daughter is.

“If you think it’s best to keep it quiet, I’ll follow your lead, but if I find out otherwise I’m telling them.” He nods. “I’d expect nothing less.”

Two days later, The other second years make the journey home while Kanae is in a meeting with the higher ups. An awful, boring, useless meeting. They desire to make  her feel small and worthless, and above all else try to make her feel weak and Kanae hates feeling weak. She knows full well she can kill them. She knows her place above them, Satoru and Suguru had made sure of it, but that does little to help her when all they do is berate her and piss her off. 

“For the last time, I don’t know anything about the circumstances of Itadori Yuji’s death, I can only assume it was during a mission. No, I have never met him. All second years have been on a mission for the past couple of weeks. Yes, I arrived home earlier than my peers to comfort Fushiguro after receiving news of his state. Should I find out that you had a hand in the death of an innocent child and our only way of stopping Sukuna, I will gladly let you know of my stance on the matter. However, I can save you the time and remind you who raised me. Now, I excuse myself from this unnecessary meeting.” Gojo is, of course, right outside the door when she steps out. 

“That’s my girl.” Kanae smiles at him and walks with him to the car. The two play hand games in the back seat and make their way towards the school. When Kanae steps out of the car, she looks at Gojo to follow, but he doesn’t exit. 

“I have a job, but I’ll come see you when I’m done. Keep an eye on Megumi?” Kanae frowns, but nods nonetheless. “Of course.”

She closes the car door with a slightly harder than necessary shove and walks up the stairs towards the entrance of the school. 

“Wait… someone did die?” Kanae immediately recognizes her best friend's voice and hurriedly walks over. 

“I told you in my text, or did you not read it?” Maki looks over her shoulder and rests her arm on Kanae. “I skimmed it.” Kanae scoffs, “Rude.” Maki shoves her playfully.

“Kam-“

“Kanae”

“Kanae-san, are you friends with this girl?” Kanae looks at Nobara and nods. 

“They’re my classmates. Don’t mind Maki, she didn’t mean to appear insensitive. Well at least, I don’t think she meant to.” Maki swats at the girl. She feels her fiancé’s hand intertwining itself with her own and she can’t help but smile. Nobara clearly sees this exchange due to the now grossed out expression on her face. Kanae just smiles sweetly at her and can hear Megumi gag faintly. She subtly sticks her tongue at the demon spawn. 

In the future, Kanae will look back on this memory with fondness. In the future she will weep at the thought of how her brother once was and the fading remnants of Megumi in her mind. She will mourn her short lived friends, the impact they had on her with the small amount of time she had with them. She will think of the plethora of ‘what ifs’ that continuously plague her mind. Kanae will remember the final moments of her childhood and innocence with that lingering bitterness that follows nostalgia. 

In the future Kanae will have one single wish of having that Time Turner from Harry Potter her Suguru would read to her as a small child.

23. How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

A) Why are you excited about this character?

Vela: takes whatever it is ze is jealous of. ze is, at heart, a thief. if ze can’t steal it, ze causes problems for the other person. ze has gotten better at handling zir emotions since Light Fingers, but jealousy is still a problem for zir.

ze started out as basically a self-insert. Vela is my favorite constellation, and at the time I created zir account, I was very interested in the Kepler Space Telescope. but over time, especially throughout zir ambition, Vela has taken on a personality and life of zir own, and that’s been really fun to watch happen.

Aria: she is the queen of quietly resentful and passive aggressive. she will not say a word about the problem to you, but she will complain about you nonstop and rearrange your stuff when you’re not looking.

I love murder mysteries, murderous characters, tragic romance, and characters who are just not very likable as people. Aria checks pretty much all of these boxes. she was originally going to have sort of a redemption arc after the iron republic, but when I actually got to that point, it just made her worse, which was way more fun. watching her continue to spiral downwards has been great. I support gay wrongs.

Alexandria: because he is involved in piracy and smuggling, and spends a lot of time in charge of a tight group of people in a confined space at zee, he’s gotten a lot of practice at managing jealousy and resentment in himself and other people. tensions can run high when valuable cargo is involved and you’re far away from anyone else’s. in general, his jealous is on the quiet side, until it builds up to the point where he can’t keep it under control, like many of his other emotions. he’s working on it though.

Alexandria has the most interesting motivations for her ambition of all my characters. while they’ve all grown since then, the other three have clear and simple reasons for beginning the quests. Vela wants to smuggle jewels, Aria wants revenge, Dexter wants four million echoes, but Alexandria doesn’t actually know what she wants. Alexandria is also the only one who came to the Neath with the intention of staying. Vela was just supposed to follow up on information about diamonds, Aria was looking for a murderer and didn’t really care what happened to her, Dexter died while on a case in the Neath and couldn’t leave. Alexandria, though, had nothing left for her on the surface, and runs away to the Neath to find a purpose again.

Dexter: he’ll tell you, but as a joke, and by the time you realize he’s seriously envious of something, he’ll have either taken it or enacted some petty revenge.

originally, I wanted to play up the detective aspect of Dexter’s career more. it definitely comes into how he approaches his monster hunting, and his relationship with Veils, but in the Neath, he’s fully leaned into being a hunter rather than exclusively a detective. also, he fits the archetype for heart’s desire/Mr Cards players (driven by a desire for wealth and power, ingratiated with society, on good terms with the masters at the expense of others, etc) but is doing bag a legend. fun little subversion.

Metis: they don’t get jealous easily. but it’s usually over how easily other people seem to navigate the world that is terrifying and hsrf for them. stealing stuff makes them feel better.

recluse characters are really interesting to me, and Metis was my first non-PC character, which was exciting! Metis also pursues the kind of lifestyle I might have if I lived in the Neath: isolated, writer, explores the city despite having a lot of difficulty really connecting with people, cozy semi-secret living space. and autism.

Xerxen: very eloquent in his own language, and the kind of person who will just walk up to you and say exactly what he’s thinking or feeling. that’s a little harder in written English, his primary mode of communication with Londoners, and sometimes words and concepts don’t translate well across species and languages. but he does his best, and his close friends can also recognize his emotions through gestures.

🔪most of what edwin would describe as 'supernatural bullshit' is usually invisible to normal humans for a number of reasons.

🔪demons can alter their appearance to appear human, or hide themselves altogether. however, they are still visible to other non-humans, so many demons will choose to simply disguise themselves instead, unless they're leeching off some poor sap's energy. everybody eats!

🔪angels can also take on a human disguise. the human brain can't comprehend most angels in their true form, so it blocks it out altogether unless the angel is either VERY determined to interact with them, or actively attacking them. nephilim are human-adjacent enough to be perceived, but this doesn't make them any less distressing to behold. fallen angels, who are locked into a more humanoid form, can also be seen

🔪spirits and ghosts n shit aren't visible to regular humans under normal circumstances and can't do much about that, but they may appear in cameras and mirrors

🔪edwin has a large scar on his back from an ill-fated encounter with Supernatural Bullshit he had as a child. the incident taught edwin that certain ghouls and beasts aren't fond of finding out he can See them. the incident also taught edwin that his dad can and will shoot a demon with a gun to protect his boy (father-son bonding !)

🔪edwin has the sight, and can tell when Supernatural Bullshit is afoot, even when it's disguised. (for example, when jackson first approaches ed at the gym, he can instantly see something is up with this guy, even if he's not sure what, exactly, bc he'd never seen an angel before) edwin also looks different to himself in his reflection (lighter eyes and light pupils)

🔪cero, emile, and jay (after gaining a demonic bestie) all have a partial sixth sense. cero can see ghosts/spirits and angels in unfiltered rawdog form, but it is possible for a demon to hide from him. emile can sniff out (sometimes literally) when someone isn't as human as they seem, but can't see ghosts (though pup can smell them). jay post-consensual possession can see demons, and develops a mild aversion towards angelic presences (though that's mostly due to girlie chilling in bug's body. angels are her natural predator and she would prefer not to get eaten)

🔪edwin, by the time he meets jack, has been on t for years, and likes his voice in general. he especially likes his voice in the mornings, though

🔪emile has entomophobia and arachnophobia. when there's a bug inside their apartment, jay is the one who has to catch them and bring them outside. because emile WILL start crying

🔪graveyards and human burial rites are fascinating to jackson. most disputes among angels end in bloodshed and subsequent cannibalism. actually the response to just about any death of an angel is usually to eat them. you mean your bury your dead or cremate them? instead of descending upon the corpse like vultures? wild. 🔪jackson and grand finale both had other names before the death of god, but don't go by them anymore. jackson fell in love with humanity, and chose a name to reflect that desire to be human and live among them. grand finale just stopped using its old name and didn't pick a new one until it started a relationship with naomi.

🔪a0 is cis on a technicality, but somehow still has two deadnames. the first is the name his birth mother gave to him shortly before his burial due to them mistakenly believing he was stillborn. the second is the name that was given to him when he was found wandering around as a young kid

🔪jay and naomi are very close siblings, and in their free time like to do urbex together. this joint hobby leads to them stumbling across grand finale, who just ripped and clawed its way through a facility of researchers and is pissed off at humanity. no one dies (no one important, at least) but this still does not end well

🔪a0 is allergic to therapy, and so doesn't have many healthy outlets for stress and trauma. so, when he meets grand finale, their combined irritability and respective strong personalities result in them fighting. grand finale spares cero's life out of curiosity because the dude is clearly some kind of Creature, but it isn't sure what.

🔪cero keeps tracking down finale and fighting it. he knows he'll lose every time (grand finale is just stronger, and a0 can't yank it out of its body without severely injuring himself) but that doesn't matter. maybe he Needs to get his ass beat and not think about all the bullshit life keeps throwing at him for once

Ok first abt my ocs:

Bell has a lot of negative connotations w intimacy in general bc of the cult he was in and also towards sex since most of his sexual partners in the cult did die in childbirth (the whole glippothspawn deal). So he is almost scared to have sex with people and tries to live in a way where he does not do it a lot while also struggling with his own desires that he cant properly communicate or cultivate because intimacy is just too wrapped in for him in sex and death (like he finds casual hugs strange etc, very touch starved and isolated). He was also forced a lot into a more dominant role during that time and during the Cam romance he was forced into that again and he did it but he simply just does NOT enjoy that sort of stuff at all but he still needs an outlet etc. Thats why his romance and sexual life with Nocticula works better bc she is the one holding the reins and he cant possibly hurt her bc she is powerful and strong and his equal and likeness etc.

Cass is similar since she was also isolated and affection starved as a child but she was also trained to use intimacy and sexuality as a weapon almost to keep herself in the good graces of her superiors (she was in a s/m "relationship" with some priestesses of Asmodeus who were her employers). She does enjoy exploring that power dynamic tho but she has a hard time being intimate and soft without bringing sex into it so her love w Wendu starts with both of them almost hate fucking eachother a lot lol. Then she opens up and learns to be soft and teaches Wendu along the way and they start to care about each other more deeply its very nice.

Marci is just ig very sexful (high sex drive) and while she is generally very well composed and stable that can cause issues with her. She probably has a lot of casual sex. Like I was thinking abt her having sex w Sister Kerismei (the woman from Woljif's quest), one of her army generals (the elf lady), and having a few lovers in Drezen too. She and Arue can bond over that too while she is in horny jail.

Masha is also pretty horny and she has sex with people before feeding on them (i know...). I had an idea for a scene where Lann catches her doing it and he is so crushed bc the girl he likes is fucking other ppl and eating them but they talk it out. She also probably gets it down a bit w Cam (her bicurios moment) and they drink blood together (weirdo besties for like 2 seconds) before Masha offs her (by sucking her dry) in the Abyss (sorry Cam).

Tessa is generally very chaste and she is more focused on the intimacy sex provides. Not the type of person who feels desire a lot. Also she has some baggage after being a Nocticula worshipper around sex bc she used her beauty and sex appeal a lot to hurt others and she prefers having relationships that are no longer centered around that.

Duncan is just chill. He has no isses anymore, he had many long term relationships in his time. He is like 40 also and he had a wild time being a teen/young adult around sexuality but its like mostly behind him. Like in the relationship w Daeran he is clearly the more well composed and at peace one so Daeran is just going trough it trying to untagle the mess of his emotions while Duncan is just there supporting him, hanging out and smoking weed lmfao.

For canon characters I mostly have thoughts of Woljif, Lann, Wendu and Daeran... less nsfw headcanonc and more of an interpretation of their characters bc i am insane

Like Daeran very clearly cant separate affection and being horny so he always tries to sleep with people he cares about and is attracted to thats why he goes so hard for the commander lmao. He is probably a good lover tho but he has issues. Lann is probably very worried about everything and lets his insecurities show and is generally stiff in those situations so its very awkward. But once he gets over that he has a fucking job to do. Wendu cant separate pain and pleasure properly AND she probably has that specific issue where she does not let herself want casual intimacy and soft affection bc she convinces herself tht she does not need it so she is all sexhorny instead and tries to channel her frustration into that. She is also probably very unhealthy in the S/M relationship too like type of sub who wont rly talk abt boundaries or safewords or shit which causes issues. True love Wendu however learns that those are important and gets better at communication so there is more aftercare.

OK with Woljif... Its less about his sexual habits but his connection towards sexuality ig bc he gets no action very clearly. He is bisexual tho but he is also very insecure and never have been loved. He kind of strikes me as a Denji Chainsawman type character who wants to be loved and cared for but he is also a horny young adult (instead of being a teen like Denji) so he probably conceptualizes those wishes as "omg i need to have sex" instead of him needing love and care yk.

I'm gonna answer for both of them, because I can (the meme is here if anyone wants to ask and/or reblog it)

B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

So for this one the answer is mostly the same for both of them, because cathar as a species (or my very dubious headcanoned version of them) have a tendency to really fixate on the neck/jaw because they have scent glands and a situational erogenous zone around there, and they'll gravitate to the area even if they're with another species that doesn't have them. The main difference being that Jial-ro is very gentle and will mostly just nuzzle and nip occasionally, whereas Khatte bites (he'll also bite everywhere else but he will especially bite necks). It very much goes both ways and they'll both appreciate a partner giving them attention there as well.

Jial-ro is also, justifiably, very proud of his butt and he's not at all shy about using it to his advantage.

E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)

Khatte: Much. Some might say too much. He needs to be stopped.

Jial-ro: his experience is somewhat sporadic, he was raised in the Jedi Temple because his Force abilities manifested very young, and aside from a short-lived fling in his teens that nearly got him kicked out of the Order he just didn't have much opportunity for a good while. That changed once he started getting sent out into the wider galaxy, and he gleefully exploited the "code only says no attachments but it doesn't say no one night stands" loophole and picked stuff up as he went along until he eventually parted ways with the Order completely. aside from the aforementioned Forbidden Boyfriend Incident he's only had one other real relationship, which he's still in and extremely committed to (they aren't strictly monogamous and he'll still have some occasional one-off fun but he has no interest in pursuing anything else emotionally). he's extremely giving and generous as a partner once he gets into it and he physically knows his way around, but he's prone to nerves and overthinking, and he's hesitant about initiating or directing things not for lack of desire but because he has Jedi Baggage he's still working through. It gave him some interesting kinks though so there's that.

F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)

Khatte: you'd think given his adventurous tendencies it would be something obscure and specific but honestly he just really likes getting fucked from behind, preferably while either shoved into the floor or bent over the nearest object.

Jial-ro: I'm not sure he actually has one? He likes experimenting and trying new things, and beyond that he likes whatever seems most appropriate to the situation; when it comes down to it for him the actual sex is secondary to to the foreplay and just being close to the other person. He does prefer being face to face, but within that there's a lot of leeway where he doesn't mind much one way or another. he's also incredibly flexible.

M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)

Khatte: what doesn't no but in actual practice he is, unfortunately, very turned on by risk and danger, and he is not at all safe or responsible about it. he has knowingly fucked people who fully intended to kill or harm him in the past and he'd do it again. he also has some strong exhibitionist tendencies and really fucking loves an audience and being the center of attention. do not turn him loose at a party he's the worst.

Jial-ro: connection and feeling loved is a big one for him. he's not really demisexual, he very much does experience attraction on a purely superficial/physical level and can enjoy the occasional one night stand, but the difference in how he is with a relative stranger vs someone he knows and feels close to is very noticeable.

T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)

Khatte: not really. he owns a lot of harnesses and similar wearable/aesthetic gear but in terms of actual toys or other implements he just rolls with whatever his current partner/hookup already has. he almost always goes to other peoples' spaces rather than inviting anyone into his, and he's actually very utilitarian and no-frills about getting himself off, so he just never really collected any. for as many kinks as he has, most of them don't require much in the way of tools or setup.

Jial-ro: he doesn't have an extensive arsenal or anything but he's definitely collected a few over the years, nothing particularly fancy and mostly to use on himself. he tends to keep them hidden, but he'll pull them out if he's with someone he trusts.

V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)

Khatte: he's loud. moaning, growling, talking either to encourage or provoke, if he likes what you're doing you will know about it. gags are also at minimum a soft limit for him and he has no sense of shame so yknow, good luck with that.

Jial-ro: he's chatty, both during and after, but he's pretty shy about vocalizing or having big reactions to things unless he's fully lost in the sauce. the most you're likely to get from him is some breathy little sounds that he's trying very hard to keep contained (but he'll still talk your ear off if he's coherent at all and most of it will just be enthusiastic positive feedback).
