"S-Shego? A little help!? They Ow-! That's my foot you're standing on!"
"You wanted an army, you deal with it."
Last weekend I went to stay at an Alpaca farm with my boyfriend and his family. I was green with jealousy because he lived through that entire 'teenage girl connects with a horse on a spiritual and emotional level' cliche...

Inca Textiles
For the Incas finely worked and highly decorative textiles came to symbolize both wealth and status, fine cloth could be used as both a tax and currency, and the very best textiles became amongst the most prized of all possessions, even more precious than gold or silver. Inca weavers were technically the most accomplished the Americas had ever seen and, with up to 120 wefts per centimetre, the best fabrics were considered the most precious gifts of all. As a result, when the Spanish arrived in the early 16th century CE, it was textiles and not metal goods which were given in welcome to these visitors from another world.
Although very few examples of Inca textiles survive from the heartland of the empire, and we also know that many textiles were burnt to prevent them from falling into the hands of the Spanish, we do have, thanks to the dryness of the Andean environment, many textile examples from the highlands and mountain burial sites. In addition, Spanish chroniclers often made drawings of textile designs and clothing so that we have a reasonable picture of the varieties in use.
Weavers
It seems that both men and women created textiles, but it was a skill women of all classes were expected to be accomplished at. The principal equipment was the backstrap loom for smaller pieces and either the horizontal single-heddle loom or vertical loom with four poles for larger pieces, such as rugs and blankets. Spinning was done with a drop spindle, typically in ceramic or wood. Inca textiles were made using cotton (especially on the coast and in the eastern lowlands) or llama, alpaca, and vicuña wool (more common in the highlands) which can be exceptionally fine. Goods made using the super-soft vicuña wool were restricted and only the Inca ruler could own vicuña herds. Rougher textiles were also made using maguey fibres.
The finest female weavers (aclla) from across the empire were forcibly relocated to the capital Cuzco to work in the Acllawasi or 'House of the Chosen Women'. Here, too, state sponsored workshops with subsidised workers produced clothing for the nobility and the army. It was here that the finest cloth was made by male specialists known as qumpicamayocs or 'keepers of the fine cloth'. The Incas had three categories of cloth: the roughest was chusi (used primarily for blankets); slightly less coarse and most common was awasca for daily use and the military but which was rarely decorative; and the finest cloth was qompi. The latter was divided into a further two categories - one grade for tribute, the other for royal and religious function. Many burials contained not only textiles but also oblong work-baskets which contained the tools necessary for weaving (spindles, bobbins, spools of thread, and metal pins and needles), indicating that weaving was a highly esteemed craft.

Oh 👏 my 👏 god 👏, I thought I was the only one. Last I checked, there were only THREE fics on AO3. THREE. These kids had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through. Such a deranged pairing (complimentary.)
yes yes yes!!! i love them together so much. they flirt so much it's insane, but what makes me even more insane about them is that they don't flirt normally!! they are absolutely dog shite at communication!! their arguments in differential diagnoses are packed with sexual tension, they are constantly messing each other around by using poor chase (or that random fall out boy member) as a dummy/sex doll, adams pulls off an epic gift prank war simply because she wants to pull on park's pigtails & park hallucinates kissing adams + adams giving her a catwalk?? to name a few examples. and yet throughout all these absurd, fucking deranged modes of flirting/blatant signs of feelings, they never stop to talk to each other about it.
they are so repressed i love them. i could honestly watch them fucking around each other forever.
and u r so right. they are absolutely underrated as a pairing so i'm fucking ecstatic when i come on here & find like-minded individuals on the same wavelength.
ogh i have so many park/adams fanfiction ideas floating around in my head & notes on my poor notes app. i just need to build up the courage to write them lol (i'm more of an original poetry person & very rarely write romance/happy things lmao, but it would be a very fun writing experiment!!!). make what you wish for & all that.
& yeah... there isn't many park/adams fics (i've also looked on fanfiction.net & livejournal, sadly there's no others there that aren't already on ao3). i would say i was surprised (given the blatant homoeroticism between these two), but given they were only in the final series and they are a f/f pairing, i was honestly ecstatic there was some there at all. and!!! i've got to say the fics about them on ao3 are top-tier. the fact that two of them are made by an og house fan is amazing - park/adams truthers have existed since the dawn of series 8. also, the ongoing one by alpacas where park/adams is a side-pairing is sooo fucking good! absolutely peak characterisations. deffo would recommend.
nice hearing from u, fellow park/adams truther!! soon we shall form an army 😃😃😃

not-6-sentence not-sunday
yesterday I got tagged by @sallysavestheday for 6 sentence tuesday! i'm going to cheat a little bit (a lot?) and post a whole scene, because i like the way it flows and i don't know when/if i'll actually finish/publish the fic.
here's something from a gil-galad character study!
The brothers lay stretched across the little laying-couch, their sides pressed against each other. Elrond, stuck between Elros and the back of the couch, was reading; Elros carved out of wood the figure out an elf upon a great-horse. Though little cuttings of wood fell down on his book and Elros’s shoulder blocked the light Elrond found he much preferred the closeness to the cold solitude of the sitting-chairs across the room, where their guardian and his brother warmed their feet by the fire.
“Who do you carve?” he asked, raising a finger to trace the curved nose of the stallion.
“A king,” Elros said, “a very fine king.”
Elrond waited for an elaboration, but it did not come. “Which one?”
“Finwë,” Elros said, “or maybe Fëanor or Fingolfin.” Grand names; the things of legend, told to them by the servants of Maglor and very rarely by Maglor himself. “Except mine is alive.”
Elrond watched his brother’s fine amber-brown hands on the wood, whittling away now the shape of the king’s head. He gave him a high nose and a proudly raised chin, though the neck was perhaps a little too long and oddly arched, giving the king some faint resemblance to an alpaca.
“Gil-galad,” he suggested, “he’s alive.”
A risk. He knew very little of that king, except he lived and ruled; his name was spoken often but with little substance, except for the tense whispers the Feanorians exchanged now and then in the night, when they thought the twins slept. The armies of Gil-galad, sometimes, or Gil-galad moves west.
Almost as soon as he had spoken the name he knew he spoke in error, for Maedhros rose very suddenly from his seat by the fire.
Elrond was not afraid of Maedhros, not truly, not anymore. He saw him little, and spoke to him less, but in the three years they had spent with Maglor his brother had not hurt them, and he would not hurt them now. But still he sat up quickly, and fixed his collar and his braids, tried to look presentable, for interaction with Maedhros always felt stiff and oddly-formal. Beside him Elros did the same, setting down his knife but holding fast to the little carved elf.
“Speak not,” Maedhros said, “of that pretender king. He deserves no such honor.”
“Oh,” Elrond said, biting back his automatic why not, “someone else, then.”
“Finwë,” Elros repeated, “or Fingolfin.”
“Very well.” Maedhros nodded, satisfied, and brushed past them into sitting room. Elrond could hear him opening up the windows. Maybe he wished to smoke.
“Why not?” Elrond asked, turning to Maglor, who was still by the fireplace, sipping idly at a little glass of amber liquid. He had watched them, but apparently seen no reason to intervene.
Maglor did not answer them for a long enough time that Elrond thought maybe he would not. When he spoke, his low musical voice was quiet, his words carefully selected.
“Gil-galad claims ownership of something my brother thinks he ought not have,” he said, “something my brother had once had stewardship over, and given to a dear friend. Gil-galad took it on a falsehood, and spoke besides an untruth about that friend and his kin; Maedhros cannot forgive him that.”
“Oh,” Elros said, looking down at the little statue of the king, “was it a sword?”
Maedhros had a great many swords, though he only really used two. Maglor called the rest window-dressing.
“No,” Maglor said, “it was not a sword.”
Elrond was better than his brother at riddles, but he kept his tongue. His thought was too bright, too exciting to be shared, for he did not want Maglor to prove it wrong.
i'm gonna tag @searchingforserendipity25 @thelordofgifs @starvels @jouissants @dreamingthroughthenoise @melestasflight @swanmaids @grey-gazania @eilinelsghost @polutrope & anyone else who wants to join me in this not-six-sentence not-sunday
join me in a posting a whole-ass scene of your stuff :)

wait wrong emoji omg!!
why do you like havers? 😊 /gen question because I’m interested!! not the skull emoji making it seem hateful 😭
Lmao I got the first ask and was like “damn okay girl chill out” but yeah I’m happy to answer that lol
A lot of people don’t like him because he has like 5 minutes of screen time yet everyone is so obsessed with him. I completely get why that can be annoying but to me the appeal is in his lack of characterization.
(I’d like to note tho that the little gestures and micro expressions peter sandys-clarke uses in his scenes are fantastic and I go feral over them)
To me he’s a blank slate that you can paint whatever personality you want onto him. This makes him fun in fics because people have so many different interpretations it gives the opportunity for so many stories. There’s soft and sweet havers, cheeky and sarcastic havers, havers that is put together on the outside but a blushing mess on the inside. Y’know what I mean?
This also opens up ideas for his personal life, does he have a sister? (in my heart yes) maybe a twin brother? An older or younger brother? (in my heart a younger brother too) are his parents proud or did they kick him out? Does he have any nieces or nephews? So many different possibilities
He’s a dancer he’s an artist he’s a poet he’s an engineer he’s a hero he was forced to go to north africa he’s born wealthy he grew up on an alpaca farm he’s traumatized the war changed his life forever because he met the captain he’s everything!!!
He’s like the barbie of army gays lmao
Also he has a nice smile :)

based on the real film here's how I would have changed the minecraft movie (keeping same vague plot and characters)
Jack Black plays Garrett the Garbage Man and Jason Mamoa is Steve it just makes sense
Garrett is still a former game champion running a small second hand game store thats running down, refuses to 'modernise' with the time
Dawn is his much younger childhood neighbour who grew up idolising him, but now realises he's a wreck and keeps trying to get him involved with her petting zoo buisness. She's a quirky lady who loves animals and keeps offering to give Garrett shifts at her family farm even though its also struggling for money, Dawn is too 'scared' to get more exotic animals at the zoo and the locals want more than just chickens and guinea pigs.
Nat and Henry move to the town after their mother's death and move in with their estranged Uncle Garrett who has been no contact with the family after they moved away to 'the big city' and Garrett stayed in the small town refusing to admit his former glory is now gone. Dawn brings over a welcome package to the siblings and meets them.
Cue tension and drama, Henry doesnt like Garrett bc he abandoned their mom/his sister, and Garrett doesn't know anything about the siblings and was still under the impression that they were 5.
Nat and Garrett tension bc she has to act as a Mom to him and Henry, could maybe have a scene where she vents to Dawn about how she had to suddenly grow up after her mothers death, move states and now is raising her brother and this grown man they dont even know.
Same plot as movie - Henry's rocket destroys a building and he calls Garrett to pick him up, go back to shop and find cube - leads to mines, Nat and Dawn follow them - welcome to Minecraft
Earth crystal gets crushed, henry builds house, zombies arrive, into Jason Mamoa Steve.
He never 'yearned for the mines' but instead as a child Steve and his best friend Alex would play there, then there was a cave in and Alex 'dies'. Steve is heartbroken and refuses to go to the mines. Year later still struck with grief, Steve faces his fears and goes into the mines, find the portal and goes into the OverWorld. Stays / remains trapped trying to find Alex but eventually just loves the place and turns it into something beautiful. Steve does talk but in short sentences and doesn't sing.
No Morgosha and piglin enemies, main plotline is to get to The End and defeat Ender Dragon, the only being that can teleport a player back to earth/real life. Maybe minor antagonists of illagers also trying to get to dragon but easy defeated compared to The End
Dawn & Nat and Steve Henry Garrett get seperated at MidPort Village just like in film.
Dawn & Nat subplot about finding Dennis, how now that he's feral Dawn has to tame him and he warms up to her. Scene cut to the following day when they're in their mushroom house and Dawn has built an entire farm featuring spitting alpaca's as defence.
"This is Mark and his wife Jackie, their kids Matthew Patrick and Felix. The Sheep's name is Jeb. don't ask why he changes colour's he just does that sometimes."
Meanwhile with the boys Garrett keeps insisting he's the best 'gamer' and knows everything, continues to fuck up and gets on everyone's nerves. After the diamond scene, Henry is at his limit, screams at Garrett about his behaviour and how "I need you to be my Uncle and help me, not some loser who still holds onto his former glory"
Same scene as film where he 'sacrifices' himself to save Henry & Steve but slightly more emotional, Henry breaks down about losing another family member and how he doesnt even know if Nat is alive. Steve opens up to Henry about how he lost his friend Alex as a kid.
The two reunite with Dawn Nat & Dennis, start to plan what they need to do to defeat ender dragon.
Dawn enters riding Dennis with an army of other dogs, Nat has her sword, Henry has his tater tot gun and Steve has his bow and arrow.
They make it to The End and start dismantling the towers, Garrett returns towards end a la film
"You we're right Henry. I need to grow up, stop being a kid, and start acting like your Uncle." And helps them take down the last tower.
Impactful emotional scene where Dawn jumps in the way to take an arrow for Dennis (she's fine it hits her arm) and Dennis whines all sad like, before Dawn tells him to "Go make Mama proud" and his eyes glow red, he growls, and offscreen we hear looney toon esque noises, before Dennis returns with a bone in his mouth and gives it to Dawn.
With the help of Steve, Nat and Henry defeat the dragon together and are granted their 'wish' to go back to earth. The Wish allows a permanent portal to be placed in the Overworld only for 'players who defeated The End' can travel to
allowing the cast to come back and leave on their own terms without having to worry about earth crystals and cubes ect.
Steve decides to stay in the Overworld, he's made his peace here and part of him still wants to find out what happens to Alex.
Similar ending to film. Garrett, Dawn Nat & Henry return to Earth with Dennis who now wont leave Dawn's side.
She gets a tattoo of Dennis & her over the scar the arrow left on her arm, its done in the traditional minecraft style. Her petting zoo is doing much better now with help from Dennis and her increase of confidence after looking after alpacas & sheep in the Overworld. She names the alpaca Captain Sparklez.
Garret remodels the store to also have modern & retro games, he's hung up his Garbage Man jacket and now wears a 'Funcle' jacket, still enjoying being youthful in his older age, but actually takes responsibility for the kids (one liner where he reminds them to wear helmets whilst biking, to text him the address of friends house ect)
Nat takes up self defence as hobby and uses her art skills to do displays and designs for Dawn's farm and Garrett's shop, doing side jobs for locals. Garrett encourages her to apply to an art school online so she can get a degree but also stay at home with Henry. Nat worries about job and finance ect but Garrett reassures her: "You never had a chance to be a kid, now you do, go study and learn great things, and have fun! Ive spent the last fourty years being a kid, its time I stepped up and took care of you both like your mother would have wanted."
Henry works as his right hand man fixing games consoles and creating new inventions like automatic feeders for Dawn's animals and a Garbage Man figurine for Garrett that dances. Henry teaches Garrett how to repair tech and Garrett teaches him how to fish and baseball.
Film ends with Steve alone in his minecraft house. He lies down on his minecraft bed, he rolls over. cant minecraft sleep. Goes downstairs to the basement, opens a hidden shulker chest. We see several locks of ginger hair, a few broken flame arrows and tools, a map with most locations crossed off inside the box. Steve lifts it up, crosses off The End and sighs. Almost every location on the map has been searched, as the morning sun shines through the window Steve raises the map up and realises there's something, some hidden islands on the outskirts of The End. He smirks, picks up the half broken diamond sword and stares at it. "I know where she is. And I know who can help me find her."
Credits.
Jennifer Coolage and Nitwit still fall in love every scene is exactly the same as the film, except at the end they both go through the portal to the Overworld holding hands and live in the village together. Post credit scene of their fucked up half round half cube children with big noses and bigger hair.
--
idk hope someone likes this, tried to make it as canon compliant as can be, Jack Black would have been a better garbage man and him breaking into song would have been better, and Jason as Steve is more the silent strong type i think if they just swapped those two roles it would have been perfect
also i didnt realise til i watched the film that Nat was over 18 i thought she was same age as Henry, makes sense for her to get a degree instead of going straight into a job I think she'd prefer that and it gives her a chance to grow and have fun
Garrett being their lost uncle leads to more drama and tension. better dynamics than random guy they met two days ago. dawns friendship with him is one of convince, both growing up in the town and knowing each other
Dawn needed more character development and involvement, like just having her ride Dennis into battle with the other wolves would have made sense in the film why he chooses to go with her instead of stay w/ steve

Had a period where I looked into pets quite a lot, on top of how one day I want to homestead and raise chickens and such. Friends keep saying i'm gonna live in a zoo. When can you send your mighty alpaca strike force to Chew on them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't remember if Alpacalypse ever actually got made, Llamageddon on the other hand
youtube
It's free on Prime if you have it.
I'll see about the Alpaca army too, they're a bit more docile than llamas though so they may take a little more coaxing.
But once they get started you'll know they're there

I just want to gab about my own little fantasy world I make stories in. Listening optional, I suppose.
I've realized that the way I'm plotting these stories is unusual. I have the Flip Finnigan stories, about a dysfunctional wizard who is alive for the sole purpose of cleaning up his families mess and then discovers that that's BS because the power of friendship actually grants him a degree of divinity. I have the Frog God stories about a man being tricked into inheriting/buying the most dangerous "goat" (demon alpaca) known to mortal (and immortal) creatures. And now I'm formulating a sort of paranormal noir detective with a goblin protagonist that uses rudimentary divination magic to solve crimes. And another of a princess in exile who learns to become an expert thief and spy to avenge her assassinated mother with the assistance of her illegitimate father and a daughter of the demon king. And a story about a sect of wartime grave digging sword saints that protect the sanctity of the battlefield as a resting place (lest undead armies rise up in the wake of battle). And it's all in the same world. Roughly at the same time.
And while all that is going on, there are larger forces at play. Big bads (mostly like three specific but unrelated big bads) slowly being chased into corners by various protagonists. And amongst it all, in each different story line, there's one of 11 vampires (there's only 11 in the whole setting for reasons) sort of helping from the sidelines. Except for one storyline that I've been very seriously storyboarding for months now, where the main character is the vampire, and all the events happening in in the other stories are seeing their consequences in this one. The heroes change the world, the changing world changes the vampire protag, the vampire protag changes the context of the narrative.
And, regrettably, now that I've realized how central this vampire story is, I think I should put it on pause and finish up all these other stories (or at least story board them all the way through first) before I set any more things in stone. Even though storyboarding is hardly setting something in stone. Still. I'd like to have a complete narrative for the wizard, the demon goat, the goblin, and the other vampires and everyone else before I try and tie them all together.
I really have too many stories and not enough time and focus to write them all out to make sense.

I've been watching Pointy Hat on YouTube for a while now, and His videos inspired me to re-write a race for D&D that I think was done dirty- yes I'm talking about Kenku. tdlr: they have some Inca empire vibes, and are mutualists with dwarves
A wingless, often silent avian race of cliffs and mountains, Kenku are said to resemble ravens in their form and face.
Sans flight and voice, Kenku have adapted to alternate modes of life, and present a dauntless resilience unrivaled in other folk.
Strange speech:
The most striking thing about Kenku, other than their avian appearance, is their mode of communication. Kenku cannot communicate with their own voices beyond hisses of anger, squawks of surprise, whimpers of fear, and other, similar, animalistic vocalizations. Instead of trying to get by with such limited communicative means, Kenku have developed a sophisticated sign language that rivals spoken tongues with its elegant vocabulary. Almost all Kenku can sign and understand this language, and it is the dominant form of communication within the species. From marketplace haggling to governmental decrees, Kenku life is conducted in sign. Visitors to Kenku settlements who communicate orally are often struck by how alien their own form of communication is to that of their new avian neighbors. When communicating with other races and cultures that may not understand their language, Kenku often use simple spells that can communicate their ideas through written words or images. A Kenku in a foreign city might ask for the location of a tavern by conjuring up an arcane image of a mug of ale, or a simple written question such as “Where is tavern?”. Many Kenku can understand the spoken languages of other humanoids and are able to write in their scripts through physical or arcane means.
Alpine Adepts:
Kenku settlements are often built in alpine areas, since Kenku, being avians with gripping claws and strong lungs, are uniquely suited to life at high altitudes. These settlements are structured as an urban hub surrounded by agricultural and defensive rings. The second ring outside the city is usually made up of farms that grow crops such as mountain grapes, cliffbarely, terrace grains, and edible lichens. The next ring is also agricultural but is more focused on livestock such as alpacas, which are prized for wool production. Outside this is a final barrier of watchtowers and forts to defend against raiders, such as the greatly feared roving tribes of goliaths.
Kenku settlements are often built near those of dwarves, with Kenku living on top of a mountain, and Dwarves living underneath. The two societies often become mutualistic, and even codependent, with Dwarven populaces importing food, wood, and cloth from the above-ground Kenku, and the Kenku importing metals and other subterranean materials from the under-ground dwarves.
In some cases, a Kenku-Dwarf alliance can become so strong that the two societies merge into one. Kenku and Dwarven armies may fight together to protect a shared mountain range, or mixed Kenku-Dwarf parliaments may be a staple of government.
Kenku also trade with other above-ground societies for their unusual crops, and Kenku slopes are well-renowned for producing fine wool, and some of the best wines that money can buy.
Myths, culture, and religion:
According to legend, Kenku once had wings and the ability to speak, but after angering their patron god, their wings and voices were taken away. The verisimilitude of this legend is understood differently by different Kenku. Some believe it to be completely true, others an allegory, and others think it a total fabrication. No one seems to remember winged, speaking Kenku- or at least, no one mortal. Many Kenku worship the patron Deities of the mountains they live on, Gods and Goddesses of cycles of life, death, and the harvest, and the unique Kenku Deity Sha’ath, a patron spirit of creativity, clever thought, and art.
Kenku arts are composed highly of weaving, orchestral music, and silent theater. Kenku clothing is comprised of elaborately decorated warm woolen outer layers, often coats, cloaks and ponchos, and flax underlayers. Instead of shoes, Kenku wrap their feet in flaxen bandage-like cloth that allows them to both protect their feet and retain their ability to grip rocky slopes. They may also cap their talons in metal in order to increase the strength of their claws while climbing, and to reduce the likelihood of them breaking.
Kenku have developed their own musical instruments to suit their own uses. A Kenku shepherd might use a modified viola to call their flock in from the field, and a Kenku who is a professional musician might modify a flute to be played more easily with a beak.
In some cases, the arts of the Kenku are combined. One such example is “panel-plays”- theatrical productions with elaborate costumes and tapestry backdrops “narrated” by an orchestra.
Kenku families are often large, with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and children all living together and caring for each other.  A Kenku family may occupy a single large manor or complex of smaller houses, with all family members sharing duties and often resources.
Kenku names:
Kenku names are not gender specific and are usually signs for natural features or materials, modified to indicate they are a name, sometimes combined with another noun or adjective.
Example names:  Shining Cloud, Cricket, Blue Creek, Mulberry, Great Violet, Howling Wind, Star Stone.
Kenku traits:
Ability score increases: Your wisdom score increases by 2, and your dexterity increases by 1
Age: Kenku pairs lay 1-2 eggs that hatch after careful tending in about two months. Hatchling Kenku are nearly featherless and unable to move much more than raising their head. After a month, the chick grows a fuzzy downy coat of feathers and can crawl, and after their first year, have a full set of feathers and are able to walk. Kenku become adults at about 17 years old, and usually live into their eighties
Size: Your size is medium. Kenku stand around 5 feet tall, but due to their hollow bones, only weigh 60-80 pounds.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet
Strong sight: Kenku are highly visual creatures, and have a nictitating membrane (clear second eyelid) that protects their eyes. Because of this, Kenku have advantage on all saving throws in which failure would mean blindness, and all attacks attempting to blind a Kenku have disadvantage.  You also have advantage on all perception Checks. Climbing Claws: Due to your avian claws, you can climb rough or cracked vertical surfaces including rough stone walls and trees at a speed of 5 feet.
Cold resistance: The dense, warm feathers of a Kenku gives them resistance against cold damage.
Communicative spellcasting: You can instinctively cast minor illusion and silent image as  cantrips to spell out words or create pictograms in order to communicate with other creatures.
Languages: The Kenku language is a complex sign language used by your own race as well as others who wish to communicate silently and or visually. Written Kenku is formed by loopy, delicate characters and often makes up musical scores and scripts for silent plays. Signs in the Kenku language can be used as the verbal components for spells. You can also read, understand, and write in one other language of your choice.
Roleplay and meta notes:
When “speaking” as a kenku, you might want to preface your words with “I sign this” or “I write this in the air using a spell”. If you wish to play a Kenku that can speak normally, use this outline, but remove the communicative spellcasting feature.

Last song I listened to - Big Blue from the F-Zero OST (honestly it was just background music for my coffee break).
Favorite color - A deep, saturated magenta leaning towards lavender.
Currently watching - Rewatching the X-Files. Just finished the Gundam animu about the girls. I thought it was good, and I think it's important to remember that the Gundam franchise is and has always been deeply political. The writing hasn't always been great, but their heart is in the right place. The premise for this latest installment is that the solar system is run by a group of infighting mega-corporations who depend on Earth's resources and so keep the planet in a state of apartheid while exploiting them. The most prestigious upbringing you can provide is to send your offspring to a school for child soldiers.
Last movie I watched - Renfield. It was funny in a Monty Python bloodbath kind of way. Well done, and I enjoyed all the characters.
Currently Reading - The Archive Undying, by Emma Mieko Candon. It's a far-future science fiction novel and I very much enjoy the world building the author has done. There are a lot of cultural references that I think are going over my head, but I still enjoy when the protagonist uses "God's infinite tits" as a blasphemy.
Sweet, Spicy, or Savory - Dang I like food. I don't think any one of those stands up on its own, but I think spicy is generally a good emphasis for any dish.
Relationship Status - Been seeing someone for about three months, but I'm kinda on the aro/ace side in real life (I was pretty up front with that from the outset) so, I actually dunno.
Current obsession - Starting my own farm. I want to raise alpacas and goats and chickens. Chickens are easy, but the other two will require education and investment. So I'm pouring a lot of effort into that.
Last search - steel annealing temperature diagram
Current project - Retooling the Unknown Armies system to add elements of Glitch/Nobilis and Ars Magica to fit my ground-up world building.
Tag folks - @should-be-sleeping @universejunction @maeamian @frick-yes-dragons @hatredcat and anyone else who wants to jump onboard. I generally use this blog to find goofy or bizarre ideas, new shows and books, and art I don't find aggregated anywhere else, so my pool of mutuals is somewhat limited.

Get Ready for Speedollama: The Ultimate Platformer Shooter
Tumblr media
Speedollama fast platformer shooter game now has a release date for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the ongoing creativity of Chaosmonger Studio. Due to make its way onto both Steam and GOG. Speedollama is releasing on October 21st, and it’s about to blow your mind. Imagine a llama, but with guns, a caffeine rush, and the speed of a bullet – that’s how fast Speedollama is in a nutshell. This title doesn’t mess around. It’s fast, chaotic, and all kinds of fun, especially if you’re into those old-school, action-packed platformers from the late 80s and early 90s. If you ever like games like Metal Slug or Contra, you’re in for a challenge. Speedollama blends that nostalgia while offering a modern twist, borrowing the fast vibes from newer hits like Pizza Tower, Broforce, and Mercenary Kings. Basically, it’s a pixelated, run-and-gun, blood-soaked adventure where you won’t have time to catch your breath.
Speedollama fast platformer - Release Date Trailer
youtube
The story? Oh, it’s wild. A wise old llama has rounded up a squad of mercenary llamas due to take on a nasty army of alpacas that’s trying to wipe them out. Your mission? Blow those alpacas to smithereens, no mercy. It’s llamas versus alpacas in the ultimate battle for survival, and guess who’s got the better firepower?
Here’s what you need to know:
Speed: Speedollama is also extremely fast. You’ll feel like you’re speedrunning every level.
Race the Clock: You’re not just taking out enemies—you’ve got to finish levels on time.
Blood, Pixels, and Gore: It’s a pixelated explosion of chaos, so brace yourself.
9 Areas, 9 Bosses: Each area ends with an epic boss fight against the alpaca army’s top commanders.
Procedurally Generated Levels: 36 levels that change every time, so you’ll never have the same run twice. Plus, 8 bonus stages!
Choose Your Llama: Pick from 3 different llamas, each with their own style and quirks.
Weapon Upgrades: Unlock 6 types of weapons and 23 enhancements due to max out your firepower and speed.
If you’re craving a fast game that feels like pure adrenaline, Speedollama is what you’ve been waiting for. It’s one of the fastest platform shooters out there, hands down. You can try the Linux demo right now on Steam. With the launch coming to Linux, Mac, and Windows. But trust me, the full release on October 21st is where things are really going to get wild. Keep an eye out for it on Steam and GOG.

Erenville and Theodore were actual friends because they had about the same level of energy, so Erenville would ask him about Meowdred -- who, on a casual acquaintance level, seemed like a generous but strict and businesslike artisan who fixed gleaners' tools for free and never collected on the bonus pay his high-qualify guildship crafting commissions entitled him to.
And Theodore told him the truth, which ranged anything from, "The Cat is the type of person for whom the laws of physics are suggestions" to "In his presence, no darkness is insurmountable."
Well. After 1 expansion together, they had become uhhhh better acquainted. And Erenville did kind of see where Comment 2 was coming from firsthand.
As for Comment 1...
Animals Meowdred had coaxed into the air so far that weren't naturally capable of flight but seemed perfectly happy to be up there:
- alpaca
- draught chocobo
- hippo
- a "fat cat" that Erenville was positive was not a living thing but Meowdred wouldn't let him near to check
Other wizard nonsense:
- Meowdred took a levemete to collect 50 pieces of large stone for house-building, by himself. Erenville was alerted to it because the Hanuhanu who handed them out worried he was going to do the work of a whole team of miners by himself.
So he went and checked just in case. And saw that Meowdred had summoned demons to mine and move the rocks around, then mysteriously teleported them back to the settlement.
- Same thing with collecting an unbelievable amount of plants that were supposedly difficult to find. Phantom hands floated through the air, accompanied by a small army of baby ahrimen that scared the shit out of travelers for a night. But damn if Meowdred didn't have 6 baskets of the flowers for delivery by morning. ✌️
