I hate that I managed to get behind on my finances again.
I had to pawn my Switch a few months back. It was kind of a desperation thing, I'd gotten hit with a couple bills during my rent paycheck instead of my bill paycheck (ice soup anyone?)
I think the day I was supposed to make a payment by/pay it off is this week. This is after I got an extension, failed to meet that, then had to essentially make a plan to buy my switch back.
I've got a PS5 and my PC, so it's not like I've got nothing to play. I just really enjoyed having it. I'd said a few years ago that when I could afford a Switch I'd have "made it", at least to a point I wanted to be at. Then I had to pawn it to make it.
**siiiiiigh** It's just a "thing", and I can live without it, and to be fair I didn't play it as often as I should have (or did I?), it just sucks. Sentimental value and all that.
Sorry for the negative Nancy vent, I've more or less come to terms with it.
SAM: Uhhh, Alice? // ALICE: Yeah? // SAM: I think the text to speech AIs are in love with each other. // ALICE: Heh. Chester and Norris started flirting mid-paragraph again? // SAM: A-again? // ALICE: Ya, they do that when they get side-tracked by outside data. It's just a bug, wait it out. // SAM: Wha??
I’m explaining to him that by being soooooo so small, and by having little baby meows that are audible, he has sent his aunt into anger-induced organ failure
One thing I’ve noticed about people in or entering their 30s is they don’t make as many compromises anymore. If someone doesn’t meet them halfway, is not up to standard, is just not where they’re needed to be, they’re just like “ok cool” and they move on from the person. Which is not to say they’re less empathetic or understanding, but more that they have learned that time is their most prized possession and they’re not willing to make massive compromises on it. They are not obsessed w the idea of fixing someone (bc the concept of fixing a person doesn’t really exist). They simply move on to someone who is up to par. I want that. I want to always move w the awareness that time is my most priceless belonging and I can never buy it back. Ever. So I have to use it wisely
[Toon x Mobster] Only he can make him laugh like that...
Jack Desmond is the silly guy. Gavriel Huffman is the scary guy. They come from different worlds that has contrasting genres, one more cartoonishly comedic and the other much dramatically darker.
It's kind of a running gag that Sir Huffman is unable to laugh without looking absolutely wicked. Both in the cartoon world and his own world.
That doesn't stop Jack from being completely smitten with him though, his voice is the most mind-melting thing he's ever had the pleasure to hear
