My god it really just is not difficult at all to avoid media you don’t like the look of. I’m constantly hearing whisperings of shitty live action remakes and bad animes and cringy adult cartoons, and y’all- I leave them as whisperings. Video pops up complaining about live action this-or-that? I do not watch it. And I will not watch the movie because I wasn’t going to anyway. If we all just did that y’know, maybe they’d lose their budgets stop making that crap. Before you make a million reactionary posts about This New Terrible Thing and getting it trending- maybe try shutting the fuck up instead.
I say this in the kindest way possible, but I think this style of prose is more appropriate for a personal account rather than an update account. I have no idea who's being talked about half the time. 🥲
For everyone saying Jance is performative and fanservice. Let me tell you something, from a queer slovenian fan...I dont think this is performative, but if it is, them performing it is a fucking brave and amazing thing to do.
We are a more open and rainbow friendly nation in comparison to other balkan and eastern european nations, but that doesn't mean much. We accepted same sex marriage and adoption in 2023, BECAUSE there were so many people opposed to it and voted against it. Our courts had to do it themselves.
And quite frankley I don't think many older people will change their minds, but there are younger people still being raised with the same prejudices. Especially in more rural eras where church is more prominent.
We have barely any reperesentation on TV, movies or in the media. The fact that a young, "hearthrob" boy band is doing this sets a precedent that cannot be ignored.
I know this was rambley and someone else could probably explain it better.
But seriously, take your "queerbaiting" and "fan-service" and fucking choke on it. The reason why you might not get why what they are doing means a lot to some of us and is quite beautiful is because you live in a bubble where something like this can only be used for commercializing.
so anyway idk what's in the water over at gmmtv lately but between Joong driving everyone insane with his face card pics, Earth and Book getting b*llied and biting each other, FK being gayer than ever on main, TayGun making out on live and causing WW3 and Google doing them all dirty with their weird ass se*ual translations on top of everything idk what to think anymore lmao what a time to be alive.
I'm sorry if this is of any inconvenience but I was wondering how do you have the courage to post your art online cause iwant to do it to someday but I just can't find the right drawing though I've tried I can't figure it out like how do you do this wonderful stuff without worrying about hate or anything?
The main advice I can really give you is just. Don’t. worry about that.
People online will be mean, sometimes. Sometimes accidentally, sometimes with an understandable criticism, sometimes just for the sake of getting a response. Take it all with a grain of salt and curate who you follow and who you see on your dash and in tags if you’re that worried about it. I think when you post your art or anything you do online, that’s just something that has a possibility of happening no matter what you do.
Also I just really think it’s unlikely that anyone’s gonna just send you anon hate because you posted some drawings, unless they’re, like, objectively offensive for the sake of being offensive, or something.
Just try not to take social media too seriously, IMO. When I started posting here I posted grainy iPhone camera doodles of Transistor fan art from my school notebook cuz I liked the game and wanted to see if other people liked it, too. I wanted a place to put the things I drew and a place where I could track my progress as I posted my art over the years, and maybe even meet people. If that’s what you want your eventual art blog to be, then that’s all it really needs to be.
If it’s something more practical you’re looking for: when I was starting out, I would load up the post I wanted to make, hover over the post button, and count down from ten. When I hit one, I just post it, no matter what. If I really didn’t like the post, I could just delete it.
I think this will be my last ever post about this situation on this account unless something brand new and wonderous (/s) happens, but stop acting like people should have seen the signs all along lmao?
Analyze his music and how he left warnings and hints all you want, but don't act like this was something that everyone should have seen coming. No offence but encouraging people to take every single song ever made at face value on the off-chance that the song is actually meant to be taken at face value is crazy. Ntm you guys are reading into things way more than necessary (E-girl Trilogy was just Wilbur making songs and capitalizing off of jokes about simps and Delphine fans, face it)
Also, it feels kind of off-putting because it does feel in the same territory as victim-blaming? I'm saying this as an emotional abuse victim myself btw. Telling people that it was there all along and that if they just tried hard enough they would know... You're seriously setting people up for failure in the future when it comes to these things
I'm not saying that Wilbur's fanbase is a victim of him, that's going a step too far I'd imagine. It's just that doing this sort of thing encourages other fans (who, again face it, are mostly comprised of impressionable teens) to either gain trust issues or be blindly trustful of others because CLEARLY they know better now and can see problems from a mile away
This is a long stupid post I know, but I'm tired of seeing dumbass posts on every single damn social media app about how Your New Boyfriend is "Wilbur's true self and he was telling us all along and we're dumb for not getting it."
With over 20 members currently on the QSMP and more on the way, it's almost impossible for a single person to stay up to date on everything that happens, even with help from QSMP's official Twitter recap accounts.
For people who are interested in QSMP's story, characters, and/or streamers but don't have time to watch hundreds of hours worth of VODs, I've created the QSMP VOD Timestamp Archive.
If there's a particular lore moment you missed live and can't find, search for it in the archive!
Timestamps include quotes, notable lore events, and funny interactions. Interesting or important moments from each stream are bolded for emphasis. I'm also adding short summaries for lore-heavy / eventful stream.
I've organized the document so it should be easy to navigate, and you can CTRL + F to search for specific streamers and/or events.
Complete VOD playlists, recaps, and additional resources are also included in the document for people who might be feeling overwhelmed by the amount of QSMP content out there. It's never too late to get into the series!
If you have a streamer you watch consistently, consider writing down important timestamps to help fellow fans! You don’t have to take detailed notes like mine – even one or two timestamps can be a real lifesaver. If you have any helpful timestamps you want added to the list (or even a 1 sentence summary of a particular stream), send it to me via DM so I can add it to the archive.
I am just one person, so unfortunately this archive is by no means comprehensive, but I'm constantly updating things and adding more streams and timestamps to the document. I've been working on this project for a while now, so even though it's not complete, I hope people find it useful!
I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)
It doesn't help that for some reason the jjk fandom (especially twt) is weirdly aggressive about ships. I know it isn't all the shippers and it's mostly just the loud minority, but seeing so much of the discourse has kinda put me off and I don't really engage much with the ships in the fandom except for rarepairs and selfships bc alot of the time those communities are more wholesome and cozy (if that makes sense LOL)
I just think that, on the off chance we don’t get a sab s3 or soc spin off, the actors should do an audio recording of the books. Like Jessie Mei Li reading the sab trilogy as Alina while the other actors read the lines of their respective characters, the crows reading their own respective chapters in the soc duology (again with the actors reading their own lines). Same thing with King of Scars!! It would obviously never happen bc the actors are probably super busy all the time but yk, I just think it’s fun to imagine
if i gotta see one more person say “it’s bad to compare aegon to literally any character because he’s a rapist” or god fucking forbid a “grapist” EYE am gonna start feeding people to dragons.
