Ooh I almost forgot!

I wanna say congratulations to my beloved kpop group :) Monsta X! They have 4 wins consecutively o.o I am very proud of them ;-;

Flashback: I have been a fan of them since their hero era o.o 2015, I was 2nd year college, study was easy back then ;-; but yea, struggles lvl up one way or another. I wasn't a big fan of kpop, I totally despised them because people spend to much of their time to them and I think it was foolish (that was me back then lol), until I had a friend, who was into kpop. She was my friend since first year and she is kind of an introvert and I get less and less conversation with her each day... I feel sad but she was true which makes me stick with her a bit. She kept suggesting kpop groups which I don't check them xD til, she told me 'hey there's a group named monsta x, but nevermind, u never check all the groups I suggest'... Then I was provoked, I checked them xD wanting to prove her wrong lol first I watched rush, I first liked minhyuk cuz his hair was different and easily to distinct him from the others. Then jooheon, cuz his hair also aaaand he raps cool. Then trespass, until....... Hero. Yap, I was converted and all my beliefs were changed in life xD kpop is a wonderful culture.

So, yap I have been witnessing their progress throughout the years and I am happy to know them better. I fell inlove with them, not only because of their music, also the way when they remove my sadness throughout the day, they are my happy pill! Hmmm I get to pick my bias when my told me she doesn't like hyungwon and told me to not like kihyun cuz it's her bias xD she's so cute and childish xD she hates hyungwon because everything is unnatural for him... The lips mostly. I have a keen eye for what people hate and I try to understand why they are being hated xD I sometimes side those who are hated xD I dunno why?

Hyungwon (bias, ex bias wrecker lol) I watched no mercy and my first bias was Jooheon. I dunno given that he is talented I tend to view the other members than him. Then there, I focused on my friend's hated member: hyungwon. I dunno... But like hyolyn, he's my type xD physically, I'd prefer someone with a bit of fat but ho no no he tall... Like wow, I fell inlove with height and the mole on his lips, and his chubby cheeks, and his eyes that disappears when he is too happy. Hmmm AND HIS ATTITUDE, fallen even harder when he pretended he was mad at #GUN... I got scared and seeing him angry was whoah. This guy is talented, I wish someone hired him on a kdrama (he was in kdrama in the future and he was shirtless hoho), then.... Dear, his voice... Starship y u no give him lines????? Have u heard him singing "officially missing you", "no diggity", "interstellar"........ It feels so good hearing him sing, I would listen to his voice a hundred times, but y starship ;_; y some tracks of their song he doesn't have a line or or he just go with the line that completely not his voice?????? I wanna cry lol, but alas, due to that, hearing him sing even with least lines is precious :< tho I want more lol. So yea, thank you concerts for giving him recognition on his voice for "feels so good" and "fake love". Have I forgotten anything else? His gahd choreography skillszsz, I love love love how he does it. It's elegant and snappy and elegant and perfect and elegant, I dunno, mebe because of his lean structure, he is like an egress under the moonlight. Blessing you with his presence on the dance floor. Like it his sixth sense, he does it effortless and still looks beautiful. Hmmm I love how he is kindof a granpa lol I kinda like men who appreciates women being conservative, with integrity... I dunno, the old fashioned type of gal. But he appreciates strong will old fashioned type :< my heart is too small to make decisions huhu anyways, him also being a laid back person :> even if life is kinda hectic, enjoy it with the small things and SLEEP. I loved sleeping because of him, I never cared for sleeping, like why sleep? Until, I slept a lot because I am sad and I want the day to get over :< sleep is good because u can run away from reality and also regenerate ur tired soul :) just think of it, it's for ur health! I also love his jokes, corny or not, I just love him being a witty poet xD there's only one like him... I wish before I leave earth, senpai would notice me, fan cafe or concert ;^; tell him that he helped me whenever I was sad.

I remember of that issue, where he had a girlfriend. Hmmm, I dunno, I was sad but not mad or betrayed. I am happy that he got one, at least it clarifies that he is not... Gay... Err sorry ;-; it's fine if he is, I'd still love him. Oh u know how ships can make your imaginations go wild. I would fall in love with him if I were a boy... How do the members prevent themselves from liking each other (or they have olredi ;)) welp. Back to where we were, u know how the members back then like hw to be their bro in law if ever they have a sister and whose member they would like for her to marry and most of them chose hw. Proof that he is a worth boyfriend!!!!! Like when wonto said that he is like a sunflower who will only look at the sun :) I think he really loved her and I guess with them rising as a star and keeping their relationship as a secret... It's really hard. You can't be proud with the treasure they have. I dunno, if he had a gf again, I wish fans and non fans would be supportive. Good thing starship was understanding about it back then and now. What if it was ur fellow monbebe? Won't fans be proud and protect their fellow monbebe????? Hmmmm?? I love our fandom :) mature and kind and hardworking and humble like monsta x... We both define each other ;-; well that's for hw, will love him all the way!

Back to mx. Congratulations again! You guys works so hard every comeback! You guys never stop trying and testing deep waters and here you are, deserving all the praise and recognition that was longing to be given! I am happy that you don't give up, let's keep this momentum :) because with all these hardwork, an ultimate grand plan is ahead :) everyone in the world loves you, so I hope Korea completely wakes up. Like I have said billions of times, you guys are very humble :) since hero era til this day, u guys ;-; u bowed really low, hitting ur foreheads to the floor, thanking monbebe is so... My monsta x experienced(fanaccount) in #MONSTAXINMELBOURNE:

For this stop i got an ultimate vip standing~ It was also my first time having to experience barricade. One tip I have for people having Ult Vip standing is you do not have to queue in so early~ because I didnt queue early and yet i still got a barricade, so please look after yourselves and take advantage of the benefits :) even if you are not ult vip, its also a great experience seeing them! i tell you its worth it ^^

anyway, as i said from my last con experience i will be focusing more on other members other than wonho :D which i did, i took few fancams this time compare to last time since the barricade helped my hands to film a bit :D ill post more few fancams once i get to edit them. (hopefully)

I bought my Wonho led banner again and still have it lit up during performances, but unlit while they are doing ment and when other members approach my side.

During Hero, we had this cute interaction with wonho where he quickly waved at our area, i love that everyone was dying after that ;; <3 also during ment he's having a quick glance from me which i caught on my fancam after watching them again. I actually only had few interactions with him this time, so at least i died less on this concert but i tell you what this was the best one!! they did save it best for last ;;; Melbourne monbebe are also discipline and chill af!! Ofc Sydney too~ <3

Hyungwon kept glancing on our general direction because im standing next to a hyungwon stan ;;; ofc I cant help but to hype with her!! its so cute~ Joohoney caught my eyes actually~ there was a few moments he kept glancing at my general direction and i think the reason why is that he was looking at my arm?? because my tattoo was showing during the concert~ Minhyuk and Changkyun too was having a glance here and there. ;; Joohoney kept going to our side and i got a quick eye contact with him.... his smile!! i died it was the cutest ;;; he's really cool on stage!!! i really jam along with him~ Everyone of them is beautiful!! im just in awe the whole concert admiring each and one of them!! ;;;;; SHOWHO stage took my breath away on the instant~ im glad i chose the left side to be in so I could watch the whole unit stage and plus Wonho is on that side :D He is just magnificent! I love MX!! they truly are my happiness~ I couldnt wait to see them again!!

So Melbourne concert was a blast, i just wanted to have this time to appreciate each and one of them!!

Hi touch:

this was the hi touch where we can fully grasp their hands rather than tapping it ;;;; and i love how open space it is! I planned saying "see you in malaysia" in korean to each and one of them (lol) but i ended up saying~ "see you in malaysia" in english with Minhyuk, Changkyun and Kihyun xD but my gosh all their hands are so soft!!! So i think its Hyungwon, he's so tall damn even if im wearing platform shoes lol!, then Joohoney??, Minhyuk??, Kihyun, then theres WONHO: i again stole another few seconds of him, and stood in front of him for a few seonds because i blanked out, but after trying to composed myself i then  grasped his loving hands and told him "see you in malaysia" in korean: i remember he looked at me lovingly while talking to him T_T THIS is how he looked like while he was listening to me saying it ;;; it was a wonderful moment!!! he really ensure you are being heard and being treated as his princess/prince then theres changkyun and SHownu, im giggling because i remember out of all the members he (shownu) has a cold hand xD but i love that, at least he made my hand cool with how warm my hand was that time!

MONSTA X: Beautiful in Dallas Recap

First off, I’m dead. I don’t know if that actually happened, or if it’s just been some strange fever dream. Anyways, here we go everyone.

First, my overall reactions to each member:

Shownu - an actual gummy bear, super smiley, super soft, super adorable.

Wonho - (deep breath) The amount of flirting and teasing he did tonight was just too much. Super goofy even when his shoulders were about to rip through his shirt, I'm gone.

Kihyun - I know he’s the power vocals and everything but his voice was so perfect. More passionate than you’d think on stage. But also all-around a sweet boy with a lot of talent that needs to be seen in person.

Minhyuk - I love his blue hair, and he acts just like his normal silly self. Smiley, having a genuinely great time.

Hyungwon - get well soon, we all love you! <3

Jooheon - Let me tell you. This boy does the MOST in everything. In interactions, dancing, rapping, fan service. He screamed “DALLAS” at least 8 times. He does it all like he’s the only one on the stage. And we all loved it.

I.M - I feel like he really appreciated the fans. He was just so into the crowd and he would bounce the energy back with his own rapping/dancing/etc. The English was appreciated too.

Now, highlights from the night:

Monbebes are super cool btw.

They’re so tall? Like I forgot how tall these boys were? Damn?

They opened with Beautiful. And Jooheon’s intro was so powerful he snatched all the wigs in the building.

INCOMPARABLE IS MY FAVORITE SONG AND THEY PERFORMED IT WITH CHOREOGRAPHY GOOD. BYE.

Minhyuk can really hip thrust (just sayin’).

Hero Remix was intense and it was because I knew the abs were coming the whole time and I couldn’t process.

Performed Ex Girl with 7 mic stands/left spaces where Hyungwon would be/said that he was getting better and told Monbebes not to worry!

They sang Nothin’ On You by B.O.B. out of nowhere and it was so nice my mouth was just hanging open.

Every time Wonho would say something that would make the crowd scream he would smirk. And Kihyun was a very flattering speaker.

The unit stages were all so amazing that if I really talked about them this post would go on for years, just know that Wonho is very toned, and an amazing performer. 24K was done so nicely by Shownu, Minhyuk and I.M, and Jooheon/Kihyun’s stage was so passionate and emotional and raw and I’m still shaking.

Monbebe Challenge Accepted

1) When I first discovered Monsta X I watched “Perfect Girl” Self Cam MV. When I watched it.....I literally died on the inside because of fucking....Wonhoe (Wonho). Him laying on the bed literally had me thinking on if this was really appropriate for their fans or if this was just straight up porn. I was so confused I had mixed feelings about Wonho. I just couldn’t stop watching him when he was lip biting and grabbing the bed. I didn’t notice the other members until I actually watched the video a couple more times. (LOL) I soon realized that all these men were very attractive....Jooheon’s dimples, minhyuk’s anime eyes and hair, kihyun’s prefect hair and eyes, hyungwon....in his red jacket...my first thought was if he was hot in that jacket or not. Shownu....being really cute with his eye smile..and I.M.......I thought he was weird when I first saw him hitting himself with his white stuffed...seal? I thought he was weird at the moment but I didn’t realize how much damage he would do to me. ^_^

2) Okay to be VERY honest, it is soo hard to have a favorite out of all the members. So I will put pictures of all the members and decided to show what my favorite hairstyle/color is on them. Honestly, they looked good in all the past hairstyles/colors they had, so it was hard to choose.

3) I really liked Monsta X’s new music video, Newton, because the view in the MV is just so beautiful and it really makes you enjoy the summer and the song itself is upbeat and makes you feel happy and cheerful. The moments in the music video where the members were playing with one another, in the car together or dancing with each other was a very realistic feel and it didn’t feel scripted (although it may have been scripted, they seemed very relaxed and enjoyed the moment with each other).

4) One thing I appreciate about each member

 - Shownu: I really love how he is very calm and how he lets his members speak before he does. I appreciate how he is humble and shares with his members. Although some may think of him as someone who may not be leader type, I believe he is a great leader. I do hope that Shownu will be more noticed for his singing too. He has such a smooth and lovely voice.

- Wonho: I appreciate how confident he is in his body and his looks. Some of you reading this may laugh at me but I am serious. He has so much confidence in himself to be taking off his shirt or ripping it off on stage. I give him mad props for having that much confidence in taking off his clothes in front of so many fans. But I also appreciate the fact that he isn’t always sexy, he is able to show his dorky side to his fans and also his appreciation for Monbebes.

-Minhyuk: I appreciate how he is able to come out of his shell and become talkative in interviews, tv shows, etc. He reminds me a lot about myself. When I have presentations or projects I have to present in my classes, I become very outgoing and I seem very comfortable talking in big groups or audiences. But then when I am at my dorm I am very quiet and actually very shy meeting new people. I hope that Minhyuk continues on being the outgoing person he is because he seems to make the atmosphere very great and positive. I am very content that he made it in the group because without him, I feel that the team would be too serious.

-Kihyun: I appreciate how Kihyunnie is the mother of the group and takes care of the other members. It must be very hard for all the members to be away from their mothers and seeing how Kihyunnie takes great care of their dorm and his members makes me appreciate him more. I hope the members take care of him too when he needs to be cared for. Thank you Kihyun oppa for nagging them about cleaning and their health.

- Hyungwon: I appreciate how he is just so realistic (down to earth) and even though he is suppose to be the ‘image’ of Monsta X, he is able to break that and show his funny side. I really enjoy seeing his ugly side but also his handsome side whether he is being Monsta X’s Hyungwon or Chae Hyungwon. As I write this, it is the time that Hyungwon is in the dating rumor/scandal. I just want to say that no matter what, if Hyungwon oppa is still dating that Unni, I support him. If he isn’t, then I hope he is ignoring all this random shit and shade that the haters are throwing at him or what the paparazzi is trying to do to ruin his image. I hope he stays strong through this and that his members help him to overcome this issue. Chae Hyungwon FIGHTING! Monbebe’s UNITE and protect all the Monsta X members!

- Jooheon: I appreciate Jooheon’s ageyo....when I first saw Jooheon’s ageyo. I literally stopped the video I was watching of Monsta X and thought ‘What the fuck did I just watch?....is this the same guy who was on SMTM (Show Me The Money)?’ No matter what kind of day I am having, I watch a video of Jooheon and the rest of the Monsta X members (aka funny moment videos) doing ageyo or getting scared and it makes me smile and think that he is the cutest boy in the world but such a charismatic person on stage.

- I.M.: I appreciate I.M.’s confidence in continuing to go through No Mercy and continuing to still be a part of Monsta X. I don’t know if he would ever read this( it would be really amazing if he did) but I just want to say to you (I.M.) that you are such a strong person and I admire you for your confidence and motivation to keep going. I hope that you continue on being your wonderful self and that just know that you are not alone. It may be hard being the maknae at times but just remember that your members are there for you. When you need help, don’t be afraid to reach out. I remember you saying that you really wish Monbebe’s to always be there for Monsta X. As long as you believe in your Monbebe’s and continue to have faith in your members, yourself and us (Monbebe’s) we will be there for you and your members. Monbebe’s will be the net that will catch you and your members when you lose your grip on what you want or are reaching for. I hope you and the members continue to be strong and keep trying to reach your goals you want to reach as a team and as individuals.

5) My favorite key point dance move is the part in Monsta X’s Beautiful MV where they take off their jacket then they dance for a bit then pick up the jacket then pass it to the members in the back.....I like that part because it’s different and the kpop boy groups that I have seen have never done that before, so it was something really amazing.

It’s okay if you didn’t really all this....it’s very long but I have had a lot of thoughts of Monsta X and I just wanted to share them with you through this One month hardcore monbebe challenge. ahhh! yes i love minhyuk+jooheon and even though they’re my favorite i really love minhyuk’s interactions with everyone so much!! im not sure exactly how much you wanted me to say but im really about to take this as an opportunity to talk about minhyuk+everyone and why they have a special place in my heart but you can also look HERE because i really tried to make this series highlight the dynamics between everyone :^)

i’m putting this under a read more because it ended up insanely long (over 1600 words…) but! if anyone wants to talk to me about any of this or!! wants to discuss any pairing!! please please please send me more messages :’) i really love all of them so much and idk this is just my take on everything and i’d love to hear your opinions whether they’re different or the same!!! i love love and monsta x all loves each other :-) under the cut is my feelings about each individual minhyuk pairing!

minhyuk+shownu: ahh! so for them the moment i think about the most (and i think everyone always comes back to this!) is in right now where shownu said that he missed minhyuk the most and instead of minhyuk being upset about having to go back, he kept up his positivity and had a nice night in with shownu?? cuddling on the bed?? they’re such complete opposites but they’re able to compliment each other SO WELL!! and one of my favorite things about their dynamic is how supportive they are to each other i mean i’ll probably say this about all of them but in the sense of these two: i think minhyuk really gave shownu a lot more confidence especially in regards to speaking and variety… for obvious reasons mx kinda views minhyuk as the best in those regards, and i think for shownu to have minhyuk’s approval and encouragement that really meant a lot? like minhyuk will encourage shownu to take charge and praise his growing variety skills and i think it’s beautiful :’) and for the other way around: i’ve noticed that shownu always.. i’m not sure how to word this but he?? puts up with minhyuk so well even when he’d being a bit much? like i was watching this one backstage video and minhyuk explaining rush and trying to be funny and a little extra and the other members were kinda looking at him weird but shownu was genuinely laughing at what he was saying and encouraging him through :’) so i really like how even though they’re complete opposites they’re able to find a nice medium, where minhyuk quiets down a little and finds comfort in shownu’s presence and shownu’s more comfortable being a little louder and a little more silly!!

minhyuk+wonho: jfkdsflkd the obvious thing here would be?? the ultimate flirting couple?? rivaled only by joohyuk… wonho really just lets minhyuk feel him up and hit on him on any program?? it’s incredible… they’re both types that really need validation and attention from others and they give it to each other with so many compliments? but also the more forgotten emotional side of wonhyuk :( wonho’s painful radio video message…. it ties back a little bit to what i said about minhyuk+shownu, how the other members see him as the best in regards to speaking and variety, and how he’s able to give wonho comfort in that sense by just being next to him, but it goes past that? i feel like people really underestimate minhyuk in the way that i don’t think many or any fans would’ve picked him out to be the one to pay the most attention to wonho’s emotional struggle at the time but he clearly was? wonho picking him as the one who listened to him and asked him about what was wrong… there’s so much in that one video that makes me emotional and i feel like we haven’t gotten to see that side of their relationship much anywhere else but it makes my heart ache :(

minhyuk+kihyun: OOOH BOY!!! the best way to describe them is just as real best friends…i’ve always gotten that impression from them from the moment i got into mx!! they’ve gone through so many interesting phases.. for the first year or so they were so obsessed with each other and insanely complimentary?? minhyuk even said that there was a time where he found everything about kihyun cute and that they would wake up and look at each other and laugh.. and even though they’ve moved past that into their bantering phase you can tell how very close they are… i really started to notice it throughout fighter era but when you pay attention to their vlives they’re always mentioning how often they eat together or how many plans they have together or how they’re always roommate buddies.. i honestly cannot believe how many dinner dates those boys have gone on it warms my heart :(( and it’s hard to say anything about this for sure but i just really sense that they have a deep friendship… like i feel like they’re a pairing that really likes to talk about deep things with each other and think about the future like they’re just such intimate friends… when i rewatched their liev it really just seemed like the kinds of topics that they often discuss with each other :( and of course also the message that minhyuk left for kihyun in the 2year anniversary video.. i really love their relationship because even though they’re both so bad at showing their affection to each other they’re still BEST FRIENDS! minhyuk clearly appreciates so much about kihyun and vice versa and also this message restored my faith in friendship :((  im sorry i really love these two and! they’re so underappreciated in my opinion

minhyuk+hyungwon: this pair is so interesting to me because honestly i feel like i only recently started to get a grip on their friendship?? they’re also so interesting because they’re also very opposite personalities but yet i think it’s fair to argue that this pair is just as close as kihyun+minhyuk as minhyuk as said that he’s closest to these two.. this part is about to be a little hypothetical because im not positive on the details of this but from my understanding minhyuk and hyungwon have been friends for so long?? like i think they came to starship together from the same company.. and they’re posted a few pictures of when they were much younger, so their friendship goes back further than most if not all the other mx friendships which is so intriguing to me? but anyway onto their dynamic… also v interesting? hyungwon will really just let minhyuk get away with anything they have some of the most iconic fansign videos.. like he’s just so tolerant of minhyuk and really just lets minhyuk be completely himself? and also hyungwon is just very full of praise for minhyuk as well :( like i said i feel like im still getting a grip on their friendship

minhyuk+jooheon: fjkdslfds like you said i really do like these two’s interactions and i think you may have sent this from reading this ask i received earlier so i’m really not gonna say as much here as i could!! but these too are really too of the most high energy, extroverted, and open loving members of the group and it’s so obvious to see and i’m happy that they’re able to be open with each other about it :( minhyuk is able to give someone all his kisses and jooheon gets the affection that he craves :( also as i mentioned in that ask.. the support that they give each other… a little bit the opposite from what i’ve said above? i feel like minhyuk views jooheon as one of the the most “successful” or “put together” members? im not sure how to word that but getting praise from him means so much.. and jooheon’s out there praising his rapping his singing his variety skills his eloquency? and whenever he does so you can tell how happy it makes minhyuk :’)

minhyuk+changkyun: ahhhhhh one of my favorites another one that i really just still don’t understand at all but i love them? and also very underappreciated? it’s extremely frustrating to me that there are still SO many people who have some stupid idea that minhyuk doesn’t like changkyun because of about two (2) sentences that he said on no mercy.. now i’m in no way trying to argue that minhyuk+changkyun are the closest pairing in mx but you can tell that they ARE close friends? like i said though i don’t understand them at all because in the words of aleena they’re such a “wildcard pairing” like even separately minhyuk and changkyun are unpredictable and when they’re together it’s just multiplied… on certain occasions these two are WILD they’re the ones who bring the energy to the group and they’re the puppy line!! they bring out the weird in each other and i love it.. but on the other occasions they’re incredibly soft? i think a lot of times it can be weird to think of minhyuk as a hyung in the group but with changkyun it’s almost painfully obvious… minhyuk has said that changkyun is one of the members that he really likes to take care of and i think you can really see it if you pay attention to the two of them :( there are so many times where minhyuk is just looking out for changkyun or where changkyun will wrap his arms around minhyuk or softly rest his head on minhyuk’s shoulders and it’s absolutely precious to see these two wild members just calm down for a moment in each others’ presence… and i also think people neglect to realize or remember that they’ve been roommates since predebut?? like people only think of jookyun but minhyuk was right there too and i really think that these two are closer than people care to think about because apparently people still think that minhyuk hates changkyun? but in a direct quote from minhyuk: “Wherever it is, on my bed next to me or on the sofa next to me. Become a better Changkyun that listens to my stories just like now.“ :(

My Experience at #BeautifulinNY + Tips

So let me start with the fact that this was my very first time to go on a k-pop concert and I was so nervous, hard to explain why. I tried to read people’s experiences from previous concerts, but that didn’t calm my nervousness.

Unfortunately, I do not own a lightstick, so that made me a little bit sad. I could have pre-ordered it (to pick it up at the venue) or buy it there because they set up a table for merch. But I found it kinda expensive for $55 so for this time I gave up on it. One thing to note, it’s better if you order it before the concert (which I wanted to but was sold out on their site) because everything is more expensive at the venue. Like I legit bought a pack of stickers for $25 which was a lot, I know, but that was the only thing left by the end of the concert and I didn’t want to walk out without an official merch. (the fangirl was strong in me post concert)

Anyway, back to the beginning.

I left work at 1 pm and when I got home I got ready and waited for my mom to come home from work. I started to panic about not getting there on time so I decided to watch Monsta X Ray’s new ep while eating ramen, only for Wonho lol While I was watching them on my screen, it was still hard to process in my mind that I will see these guys in a few hours perform right in front of my own naked eyes. 

I saw on Twitter that people were already lining up by the venue and I was seriously freaking out. Although my ticket was for P3-P5 (somewhere in the back lol) and I knew I have an exact seat and everything, I was still worried that I’m going to miss something.

So it was almost 6 pm when we left the house and got on the D train (which I hate because it always fucks me up). We got off by Bryant Park/42nd st around 6:45-ish and went to Playstation Theatre at Times Square. There were so many people so I didn’t see at first where the line was for the venue. But then by the entrance, I saw some people standing there but the security came and put us in the right direction for the line. Good thing to know, Playstation Theatre is located on 44th st and 7th ave and the security told us to go to 45th street and 8th ave. So we followed the line and looked for the end. BUT WHERE WAS THE END??? like legit almost at the other side of the whole block, like I don’t even know how to explain it but it was damn long. And people were still lining up after us so it became even longer.

We had to wait for one and a half hour to get into the venue and by then it was way past 8 pm, which was supposedly the starting time of the show. I had no idea why it was delayed, why the line went so slowly, and I don’t think anyone around me knew it. But later on twitter, I read fans saying that a fan got injured in the line and that’s why. Which is actually a nice thing that they took care of the fan and didn’t ignore the injury. I didn’t mind standing in line for long because at least I got the chance to buy a fanmade cute Kihyun cut out that I could hang on my neck. I would have bought Jooheon’s too but it was all gone TT but I love that thingy so much like I hung it up on my neck even for breakfast the next day. And I also got a banner for free, which was handed out to everyone and it said “I’ll protect you, so you can bloom more beautifully” in English and in Korean (Beautiful lyrics) and I loved how the directions were on the back, like when do we need to hold it up and in English, Spanish, French, and Korean. We held up ours at 5:14 (Last Page), the very last song.

So fast forward to when we finally got into the venue, it wasn’t actually long after that they came out and boy the screams were so loud but of course I joined in. (I had no voice by the end and even now while writing this my throat still hurts). The setlist was pretty much the same as in Chicago so I won’t be going over that.

After Hero ended they greeted us and they had an “official” translator who was pretty quick with translating hopefully everything that they said. I have to just say I can’t get enough of Changkyun’s English, I really love it lol 

They interacted a lot with the crowd like they were always like ‘are you having fun’, ‘did you like what we just did?’ and I think those were really good for hyping up the crowd. They also did like small comedy bits like who is the most romantic and they showed, sang something to prove their romantic sides. They also sang snippets from songs that have New York in it like Kihyun sang a bit from Empire State of Mind. Hyunwoo from English Man in New York. Also Wonho mentioned that Hyunwoo is a romantic person because he buys his friends in Korea all different types of presents. I got to experience Jooheon’s and Kihyun’s beatboxing lol Jooheon also sang from GD’s Untitled. 

They talked SO much about Hyungwon and I really loved that. At the beginning and at the end they mentioned him too, and Wonho after they did their special stages and how he hoped he could fill in for Hyungwon. It made me feel really warm especially as I saw how many times they left a special space out for Hyungwon and sometimes acted as if he was there too.

The performances were SO L I T, they were dancing so well and so powerfully and the energy was no joke. But then they were also able to slow it down and make the crowd melt with songs like Ex Girl, Honestly, I’ll Be There, and Sweetheart. I like how one time Changkyun was like we gonna slow down to mid tempo and they literally sang their slowest song, Broken Heart. And then Kihyun’s iconic mom moment to Changkyun with ‘There is something on your face’ and started to get something off from his face. And Kihyun wiped the sweat off from Wonho (K I H O) They also mentioned like twice for the pit to take a few steps back for safety. That’s how Hyunwoo’s ‘please safety’ was born. (did I mention how much I started to love Hyunwoo after the show? Like literally he was one of the highlights of the concert.)

I also loved their outfits, especially when they went for this mint theme. And then for the rocker versions of songs, like there is nothing better than rocker!kihyun and his leather jacket. 

Their special stages were no joke. When Hyunwoo, Minhyuk, and Changkyun performed 24k Magic, the whole crowd was excited because it’s everyone’s fave song don’t lie. Wonho performing From 0 with their dancer was great, but I missed Hyungwon. Especially that ionic movement in the dance was weird with the dancer and not with Hyungwon lol but it was still great and Wonho put his heart into fully. 

But my favorite was definitely Mirror by Jooheon and Kihyun. When Jooheon was having sort of his highest point in the rap parts, I legit got goosebumps. He is such an amazing rapper, I was truly speechless. But then Kihyun’s powerful voice added even more to it, and that performance really left me amazed. I knew I have the right biases. THESE TWO LOVES OF MY LIFE DESTROYED ME. 

They also had some problem with moving the chair like lol one problem was that they were sitting on it (during the slower songs) so no surprise but I think it also got stuck in something. Which reminds me of… WHY STUCK WASN'T ON THE SETLIST? It’s like legit one of my biggest faves from them, but they performed Blind and it was sexy and I was close to passing out. 

Their vcrs were cute and creative. First they had one before the unit performances where they talked about what they prepared. I couldn’t see the screen well but there were English subtitles and I could kind of read it, so that was helpful. They were being dorky and I love nothing more than that haha. The other one was a bit more emotional because they were showing a mature side of them and a whole story. I don’t remember exactly how it all went down, I definitely have to watch it again. But it was emotional, that’s for sure, and it showed how important it is for them to be together and stick with each other.  

Also Wonho the dear clumsy one accidentally spilled his candies from the basket to the stage and he was throwing them to fans from the floor. Jooheon was also there picking all up probably until the very last one was thrown to a fan, and he even bent down for them while singing his part in Sweetheart. One thing is that his voice was stable lol but even my mom mentioned it that how considerate of him was to not let them go to waste and make sure fans can have them. (side note, after Hyunwoo and Wonho, my mom’s new fave, she even said almost #1, became Jooheon lol we are in the same boat now)  

It also took them forever to come back for the encore. I thought they are going to leave us so we had to chant Monsta X two times and we even started to chant Hyungwon :’) but then they finally came back and it was better waiting for longer because it was more precious to see them again. It took them longer because they changed into another outfit. And then they performed Fighter (L I T) and 5:14 (Last Page) (S A D). It took them so long to say goodbye because they shared their thoughts again, we had a picture taken, and then they bowed like four times from four different directions (while dragging each other hand by hand from one side of the stage to the other) Even my mom said that it looked as it was hard for them to say goodbye. Trust me, I didn’t want to say goodbye either. 2 hours was enough and I was exhausted, yet it still feels like it went by so fast.

But I happened to fall in love with them once again. They are so humble, down to earth, but then SO SO SOOO talented and powerful and energetic and funny and know how to hype up the crowd. I’m so happy that they were my first group for my kpop concert experience because I wasn’t disappointed at all. And I love them so much pls give more love and appreciation to Monsta X, they deserve the world. 

Here are some concert tips:

it’s okay if you don’t own a lightstick and can’t afford to buy merch, you are still a true fan ^^

don’t worry if you can’t get to the venue early, if you are not in the pit then it doesn’t matter when you enter the venue, just try to be there at least around the time when the doors open and have time for yourself to use the bathroom, eat, and look through the merch they have

BUT if you are in a big city and you rely on public transportation then it’s good to get out of your house early because you never know when they will get into a problem, same with cars and traffic

if you have time, prepare with the fan chants because it always makes it better for the crowd and for the idols

try to know more info about fan projects and freebies or even fan made merch for a couple of dollars — it’s always good to be up to date and to support fellow fans, I told my mom I would rather buy from a fan a few handmade cutesy stuff while supporting that fan than buying a bunch of expensive merch at the venue, I mean it’s everyone’s different opinion but I always have the chance to support the boys, but not always have the chance to support fans

wear something comfortable on foot and prepare for standing up for the whole concert even if you have a seat (i was standing the whole time too)

bring a smaller bag, preferably not a big backpack, a small one is fine

prepare to be either very cold or very hot: like when I went to see 5SOS I was feeling cold in MSG but in Playstation Theatre there was legit no AC (idk how the boys could handle it TT) and I was burning up

if you have a shitty android like me and not an iPhone with a great camera, that’s okay if you record at least their voices are still good on the recording especially if you catch the ment part, otherwise songs with heavy bass and techno sound won’t be that good

a lot of people say this but it’s true: try to enjoy the concert and not record the whole thing — it won’t be that good anyway on your phone as if you see it with your own eyes, that’s why I decided for some of my fave songs to record maybe like 30 seconds or something and then I put my phone away and for the ment I really wanted to record their talk but even then I was just holding my phone but not really focusing on the stage through it

try to socialize (this is a big tip for myself too), concerts are great to befriend people with the same interest and likes as you, I did talk to some people but it’s not like I befriended them because I’m a social flopp and my mom was there with me too so I was just talking to her

if you have no idea about kpop concerts, like me, then know that hi-touch is after the show (at least that’s how it was) and the security makes everyone leave who doesn’t have a wrist band for the event, but they still let you take a few pics of the venue and of the stage, just hurry up because if it takes more time for them to push people out then the hi-touch is delayed and it’s bad for the fans and for the boys too

Specifically for Playstation Theatre:

The venue is small so be ready to feel a little crowded

but the good thing is that even if the stage is far (if you have a seat like in P5) it’s not as far as in a stadium

if you are in P5, don’t expect to see the screen, Playstation Theatre has a couple of small TVs hung up above people and they are just in the way to see the screen

I was legit so mad I wanted to tear all of them out from the ceiling like you think they might show them on those small TVs too but NOPE I guess they never thought about advanced technology and multi screening

There is a place for you to give your coats in

the restroom is pretty lol it kind of reminded me of Harry Potter because all the sinks are placed in the middle of the room and I felt like we can get down to the  Chamber of Secrets in New York, besides they also blasted Shine Forever (when they give you nice background music for peeing lmao)

So that’s it from my part, I hope I could cover everything important but even if I was there I couldn’t process everything because it was so fast and I was so happy and living in the moment. I’m definitely going to watch back some videos and be nostalgic about it lol I’m also waiting for the HQ version of THIS pic which was taken there by wonderful fansite-nim, I thank you with my life

btw, at the beginning of the concert while we were lining up on the street, a random old lady asked us if it’s worth lining up for this long for the concert and hell yeah it was so I think that once in your life you deserve to see your faves and to not care about how much it costs. another thing about that incident is that it seems like the fan doesn't think Changkyun and Jooheon undersood them?? (an extension i guess they assumed they don't understand english very well) and that's pretty problematic. it seems to me that when they didn't respond the fan assumed they didn't understand and kept repeating it, as a joke. but they literally did That to the two with the most proficient english in the group... it's rly a mess all around. it's disrespectful through and through

it’s bc they’re intp x intj they don’t rly... Understand each other with minimal effort/real communication lmao it’s very efficient. both quiet lil darlings who aren’t emotionally That Open but enjoy their own little space together sometimes?? their dynamic is like... they’re weird in different ways but they’re v chill together. u can tell hyungwon is super fond of changkyun like he has this Expression when ck does anything at all.... i think these two rly love each other’s personalities bc they’re both kind/gentle/peaceful types and their overall ?? vibe is just highly compatible... they’re absolute darlings... v soft together... i can’t think of a favourite moment but i rly rly love their birthday messages for each other last year like changkyun’s message for hyungwon was like “ur rly cool bruh ur rly such a great person” and hyungwon’s message for changkyun was rly... just him obviously doting on him n finding him cute jksfdhg i lov them a lot :(

The whole thing about Knetz and wonho's "scandalous" past reminded me of something. As a PSA to those people who are so insistent and pushy that idols aren't allowed to have sex/date/be anything but straight: Fuck all of you. You do not own these people, and if you really cared about them you'd be happy if they were happy. Like tbh, if anyone that famous and busy could also balance out a relationship at the same time, I'd be so happy for them. It really bugs me how all idols are supposed (1/2)(2/2) have this squeaky clean innocent image where they have to look and act a certain way and have these stupid fucking dating bans because once they don't meet up to that image their success suffers. Idols already give up so much privacy, and the last thing they need is millions of people scrutinizing every little thing they do. I don't even know where I started this rant from, but basically, GIVE IDOLS PRIVACY AND DONT JUDGE THEM FOR THEIR PASTS OR FOR BEING IN RELATIONSHIPS OR WHATEVER

maybe i'd be doing better in school if i could major in kihyunology ;~; i stan him but i def think we still don't know much about him even after all this time after debut. especially when i look at him compared to wonho who wears his heart on his sleeve (bless him i love wonho sm, gotta protect this bun at all costs!!)...but ya it just makes me wanna learn more about him like who is the real kihyun??

i still feel like they had a comeback like yesterday lol like looking at their schedules stresses me out bc they do so much..... im glad wonho got to go to his mum’s cafe recently tho! all we can do is have faith in them rn and when it’s time... stream, buy things if ur able to, spread the news and the hype etc. i am definitely Worried abt some things like the competition they’re up against but.... gotta have faith u kno... and i feel like all active idols are kind of... permanently worked very hard but i think currently only jooheon and shownu are a bit Overloaded. also has the date been confirmed yet... it’s february already...
