Keeping Up With Seijoh Ep. ∞
a/n: this made me tear up a bit ngl bc haikyuu always hitting us with ‘theres no next year for us’ typa bull like BLS TAKE PITY ON MY SOUL AND STOP TIME AND KEEP MY BOYS TOGETHER :(((((((
it has an infinity symbol bc this is in the future so there isnt really an episode number
for more seijoh content, check this masterlist out!
anon:
the third years coming back to seijoh the following year for a surprise visit, and watching over practice cuz they were in town for break. being impressed on how kyo has calmed down (a bit), kunimi actually giving a sh-, yknow the deal. just the growth of their kouhai makes them 🥺🥺 but THEN- Y O U walk in with the team’s bottles n the small gasp that comes out of your mouth when you see them. they GAWK cuz you’re maturing SO well (stfu oikawa- my eyes up are here) and just 🥺🤲
Tumblr media
SO LIKE UNLESS YOURE NEW TO MY BLOG YOU KNOW THIS FINNA BE A SAD ONE BC SEIJOH THIRD YEARS ARE MY FAVORITE BOIS AND THEM GRADUATING MAKES ME :(
oh god here comes the tears
so
it was something you knew was coming since yanno, third years and all that
but you were so sure you had more time left before it happened
didnt you just join the team and met them like yesterday?
nope love you met nearly a year ago
and they made quite an impact on you in the short term you were together
so during the day of graduation
it wasnt really a school day since it was mostly for third years and the whole ceremony but kouhais could come so they could send off their senpais
you already called each third year the night before, nearly 2 hours per boy, to talk to them and cry with them so you didnt have to cry during the day
but ofc
you were sobbing already when you saw your captain walk up and get his tube with the diploma inside
they tried to remain strong as they sat in their seats but a single glance at you and the team at the stands above, the tears were already either forming or full out slipping
i know yall finna beat me up for this but im not really familiar with the other third years in the team bc theyre not really shown in the anime or manga that much so i dont have a good grip on their character so can we pls pretend theyre not in here?? omg pls dont kill me though
the ceremony felt like a long time for the seniors but when it was finally over, they ran out of that building and yall did too and you bolted yourself into the arms of your captain
oikawa held you tightly against him and he didnt care about being seen by his fangirls, who were waiting outside for him, or the others who wanted to have you to them too
‘i love you, y/n-chan’
he mumbled and you nodded
‘mhm. i love you too, oikawa-san. i love all my boys’
YALL MY HEART IS BREAKING BC OIKAWA ACTUALLY MEANT IT THIS TIME AND YOURE STILL OVER HERE THINKING THAT HES JUST SAYING IT AS A FRIEND LIKE IM-
iwa ripped you away from him and your face was buried into his chest
but it didnt last long since the others got a little impatient and just joined the hug turning it into a group hug
‘i dont want you to leave!’
kindaichi sobbed and kunimi sniffled, holding on tighter to the backs of his senpais
even kyo was sad but hes a tuff boy so he easily hid that behind his usual frown and glare
after seeing their parents and reassuring them they would be home soon, you started your trek towards your usual hang out spot
the second and first years were walking ahead of you while the third years fell back in step with you in between them
mattsuhana flanked your left while iwaoi were at your right
the tears were now gone but sniffles still filled the area and everyone was still down in their spirits
you held tightly to the warm big hands of iwaizumi and the soft touch of mattsun’s hand as if you were clutching your life-line
but you knew no matter how tightly you held on to them, they would still go and eventually leave you behind
the ramen shop was filled with another round of tears as everyone realized that this would be the last time seijoh og would have ramen here
‘WE DONT WANT YOU TO GOOO~~~~!!!!!!’
kindaichi sobbed while kunimi aggressively shoved noodles in his mouth to hide his hiccups
you refused to eat because you were so sad that you were scared you might end up throwing it all up later so you settled on relishing your time with the boys
oikawa was busy talking to yahaba and telling him tips and tricks for next year while iwaizumi was consolling the others who were crying
that left you to harshly wipe off the tears and focus on the jokes that matsuhana were telling to help and lighten up the mood
‘think of it like this! you won’t have oikawa and iwaizumi fighting anymore!’
well,,,,,
that kinda made things worse
geez makki stfu!!!!
you bursted into full tears and you sobbed, loudly and freely
‘WAAAAAHHHH!!!!!’
you wheezed and then continued to cry
everyone flinched and got startled at the sight of you crying
theyve seen you cry before but not this intensely and sadly
‘DONT GO!!! OU-OUR FAMILY’S GONE!! ITS B-BROKEN NOW!!!!’
you wailed
everyone is so used to seijoh antics that they didnt even bat an eyelash when everyone started crying
‘damn it, i was trying not to cry!’
iwa growled and buried his face into his hands to hide the pain in his eyes
‘come here, y/n-chan’
mattsun cooed while sobbing and you went straight into his arms and his arms tightly wounded around you
he pressed kisses on your neck to calm you and he whispered promises to keep you from thinking that you would be alone
the boys were all still crying even when you paid for them and at the exit, everyone wouldnt let go of each other
ngl it was a weird sight of seeing these boys just hanging on and hugging the others and you were tightly pressed against makki’s chest
‘dont cry, y/n-chan. we’ll be here, always. just a 4-hour ride to tokyo’
he promised but you shook your head
‘--too far’
you mumbled and he was able to make out a few words and he laughed
‘i swear you’ll see us in a few hours’
it took a few words of assurance from makki and eventually mattsun and iwa joined
oikawa stayed back because he already wanted to walk you home and iwa knew you were the one that was the hardest for oikawa to tell his plans to
waving them good bye, you fussed and made sure everyone was not crying anymore
‘you text me the moment you get home, all right? and kyo-san, let the food in your stomach settle before-’
‘before i take a bath-yea i know’
he rolled his eyes but he smiled lightly before hugging you
‘go home now, y/n’
he pushed you towards his captain but you pulled away one last time to give each boy a kiss on the cheek
their lips trembled, especially the third years, and wanted to keep their tears in but they rocket launched to space
yanno that one part in season 1 when kiyoko told them to work hard and then they just snot-rocketed and cried
oikawa interlaced your fingers as you both walked towards your house and it was quiet
you were sus bc it was too quiet and oikawa would usually be either skipping, humming a tune, or just yapping his ass off
but right now
he was quiet, slouchy, and,,,, not oikawa
you looked up to see his face and you knew it wasnt just the graduating part
it was like,,,, he was nervous
you squeezed his hand and that got his attention
‘oikawa-san, whats wrong?’
he suddenly stopped and your linked hands caused you to also stop so you watched him stare down at his shoes and you blinked at him in confusion
‘oika-’
‘y/n, tell me to stay’
he,,, sounded like he was begging
pleading
desperate to hear you say it
‘why should i?’
you asked and he finally lifted his eyes to stare into your eyes
he gulped before further explaining himself
‘coach got me a volleyball scholarship’
he whispered and your eyes widened before you launched into him for a hug and pulled back to cup his face
‘oh my god! tooru! a scholarship?! im so proud-’
‘in argentina’
he finished and your eyes dimmed, the lifted corners of your lips falling into a frown
‘o-oh’
you stuttered and pulled your hands away but he grabbed them, placing them back to his face
‘but if you dont want me to go, i wont-’
‘NO! what?! tooru, its your dream! you and iwa-san wouldnt stop talking about that match with argentina and-and you want to go there! dont you dare let that slip away!’
you scolded frantically however oikawa’s face scrunched before he started crying
‘i-i can’t! y/n, i’ll be alone! its so far away! far from iwa, far from you-’
then you reached to your tippy toes and kissed his nose then leaned back with a big smile
‘no matter how far, ill always be right here. im always going to be here, waiting for you’
you mumbled and oikawa hiccuped then leaned his forehead against yours, eyes clashing that was so full of love and fear
‘then dont you worry, y/n-chan. oikawa-senpai will work really hard and he will come back and make you happy’
he whispered and you pulled him even closer to give him the biggest hug
‘im looking forward to it’
TIMESKIPTIMESKIPTIMESKIPTIMESKIP
ONEYEARONEYEARONEYEARONEYEAR
truth to be told with guilty conscience, the third years havent really been in touch
yes theyve called and messaged but there wasnt a normal kind of communication, especially with oikawa
but they decided to go over there during a simultaneous week break for universities in tokyo and iwa, makki, and mattsun pressured oikawa to fly back to japan just for a week to visit
‘iwa-chan im so broke righ-’
‘fine, we’ll see y/n ourselve-’
‘OKAY FINE! HERE! IM BUYING THE TICKET NOW SEE?!’
bahahaha im sorry i love oiks so much its not even funny
they agreed to not tell anyone, even coach, to surprise you all and to see your faces of surprise bc mattsuhana are little shites and they love to mess around
it was a normal day during practice
yahaba was teaching some first years how to serve while watari was giving exercising tips on how to bend their knees without shrieking in athritis
kyotani was doing jump serves while kindaichi and kunimi tried to block him
it was a normal day
the former third years knew the ins and outs of the place and oikawa still had his keys of the gym since he never gave it back so they were easily able to sneak in
they sat on the bleachers and observed everyones growth which really blew them away and took them aback by how much they improved in little time
like kunimis actually huffing and throwing a mini tantrum bc hes so into it and hes mad he didnt get that block right
they also noticed the larger amount of new recruits and based on their practice, it looks like they would be in good hands for the next few years
however, the true shock settled in when this happened
kyotani cursed loudly when the ball hit out but yahaba scolded him for saying a bad word in front of the first years
‘kyotani, dont say that anymore! its not good to teach the babies bad words!’
he ranted and the college boys shared a look of caution and fear, bracing themselves for kyotani’s normal screaming and tantrum for being called out
but they were the most surprised when the bleach-haired boy simply glared at him and turned away to go pick up another ball to hit
‘did,,,, did kyoken-chan-’
‘was he just calm right now?’
‘oh my god iwa-chan kyoken-chan got abducted by aliens!’
I SWEAR TO GOD ITS LIKE THE CURRENT THIRD AND SECOND YEARS GOT AN OIKAWA ‘IWA-CHAN’ SENSOR BECAUSE THE MOMENT HE SAID THAT, THEIR EARS TWITCHED AND THEY JUST KNEW
THEIR SENPAIS WERE HERE
their eyes were wide and their attention snapped towards the bleachers where indeed, their 4 fathers sat
‘OIKAWA-SAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
kindaichi screamed and he NYOOMED towards the stairs but kunimi grabbed him by the collar
‘come down here, senpais!’
yahaba urged and coach and naoi shared a look of initial shock but then transformed into happiness
it was nice to see the family together again
they quickly turned into a dog pile with the hugs that were given around like kyotani actually giving iwaizumi a hug and makki and mattsun affectionately ruffling everyone’s hair
the other first years were just staring in awe at the legendary third years of seijoh that theyve heard so much about
‘everyone, these are your seniors!’
yahaba presented and the 3 third years became very flustered but ofc attention whore oikawa soaked it up
‘yes, hello, my little disciples! you are my legacy so work har- IWA-CHAN!’
he was cut into his famous line when his best friend bonked him for being too self-absorbed again
‘waaa, l/n-senpai was right’
some first year mumbled at the scene and their ears perked up at the name
‘l/n?’
‘where is she?! y/n-chan!’
oikawa shouted and looked around
BECAUSE OF FATE
YOU AUTOMATICALLY MANIFESTED THERE
‘YES YOU CALLED’
okay no but you actually walked in just in time, carrying the crate of water bottles, focused on not dropping them so you didnt really see the others
they were silent not because they wanted to mess with you and see how long youd figure out that they were there
no
they were silent because of how BEAUTIFUL you became
you gained a few inches and your hair is now longer with your baby fat slowly melting away and you were also finally showing your growth with your body
the eyes that used to gleam with childish innocence was now mature and poised like a perfect lady
even the way you walked with a crate made it seem like a ballet performance with the grace at every step and the flowery aura you exuded
you have turned from a ridiculously cute and pretty girl to a beautiful goddess
AND YOU WERE ONLY IN YOUR SECOND YEAR HOW THE HELL ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO HANDLE IT WHEN YOURE FINALLY A THIRD YEAR?!
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE AMOUNT OF BOYS THEY HAVE TO WARD OFF?!
‘my god’
iwaizumi mumbled, flushing red and turning away to hide his fluster
‘beautiful’
oikawa whispered and he gulped, not remembering how strikingly attractive you are
‘have mercy’
makki whined softly, clutching his heart as it started beating fast and made his stomach feel all funny
did they act like this back in the day?
mattsun doesnt have control so he ran forward and you were just putting the crate down when you were lifted off of the floor and twirled around
so like yahaba waved off the others to go back to practice so its like not awkward to be standing around and see this happening
there was only one person who did this to you
‘mattsun-san?!’
you shrieked and you giggled happily as he put you down so you were able to hug him properly and eventually, catching sight on the others behind him
your gasp made them smile widely and you pressed a hand to your mouth to hide the shock and your overjoyed laugh
if they could take a picture of this and remember the amount of love your eyes held and the pure unfiltered happiness that swirled in those orbs
it was like they felt themselves falling in love with you all over again
‘oh my god everyone’s here too!’
you ran to them and jumped at the awaiting arms of iwaizumi and he was still the bara arm babie you remembered
‘i missed you, doll’
he whispered
‘hmmm,,,i missed you more’
he let you go and you skipped over to makki who engulfed you in his arms and you felt his soft brown hair because you remembered he loved it when you ran your fingers through his hair
‘youve grown! so much! you got even more beautiful!’
he exclaimed and you giggled, bashful at his compliment
‘hmm~, no i didnt’
he gave you a deadpan look and you chuckled before scurrying away towards the one you wanted to hug the most
he definitely got more toned and he got taller too
you didnt have any time to react since he grabbed you and squished you against him
‘youre here, oikawa-san’
he nuzzled his head against your neck
‘mhm, im here now, y/n-chan’
he placed a kiss on your nose and you scrunched your face but there was a big smile that was clear
then oikawa’s eyes trailed from your face to your,,, ahem,,, girls
‘jesus, y/n-chan really grew, huh’
he complimented and you blinked confusingly before trailing after his eye’s gaze and it landed on your chest and you punched him
‘urusai, oikawa-san! my eyes are up here! youre so perverted. pervert oikawa-san’
you pouted and moved to seek comfort in the arms of makki
‘hmm, oikawa’s perverted as usual. i think it got worse with all those argentinian women’
makki teased and mattsun joined to poke fun at their captain
oikawa whined and told iwa they were making fun of him to which his own best friend betrayed him and starting teasing him too
you simply watched on and your eyes watered, your sniffles catching their attention
‘eh? why are you crying, y/n-chan?’
oikawa asked while approaching you to wipe your tears with his thumbs
but you shook your head with a teary smile
‘n-nothing-just,,,, i missed you guys. an-and im so happy because its like our f-family’s back together and i just-i-’
you cried but it was out of happiness and their hearts warmed
ofc they felt guilty because they were aware that they werent as in touch as they shouldve been so you probably felt lonely and casted aside without any contact from your boys
but they know now to make sure you feel loved and cared for because as you keep saying, they were your boys
they were a family
seijoh is a family
and you love them
but they love you more
a/n: okay im sorry this is probably trash and all over the place and im crying and stressing but ive been writing in between my college alg homework and its been so hard like WHY IS NUMBERS SO HARD LIKE WHAT-?! but this has kinda been the baby of my break time and relaxing few minutes bc i procrastinate too much and i want to do something i like before i actually go insane and i promise PROMISE that once everything is cleared up i will edit this and im already working on the other requests so expect a few to be out by the end of the week or something like that!!

Poor roman :( but that being said I am heka interested in 5
remus humiliates roman in front of jamal (but jamal is a sweetheart)
vote from this concept voting post!
TWs: swearing, emotional humiliation, arguing, remus is generally pretty mean in this - not "unsympathetic" but his behaviour is not ok, brief alcohol mention but it isnt a main feature
first some background info on remus and ro:
roman and remus' friend groups actually run parallel to each other by pure councidence in that theyre the same age and are both in the local queer scene
usually they only run into each other on nights out and avoid each other like the plague... until one of romans friends and one of remus' friends become a very serious couple and the friendship groups merge
remus tends to hang it over romans head whenever they argue or remus just feels like teasing him that he could so so easily spill romans secret littlespace to all his friends
and while roman claims to not care he also really doesnt want that to happen, especially the specific things remus threatens to reveal (namely him calling his cgs mommy and daddy, and his fear of the dark - which remus knows are romans biggest embarrassments)
and remus never USUALLY actually follows through on his threats, he loves to freak roman out but he doesnt mean to be intentionslly cruel.
but one night theyve had an argument recently and remus is out to hurt roman and finally follows through on his threat to reveal romans secrets. in front of jamal
((the actual incident below the cut))
all the friends are walking back from a night out, and remus hangs back from the group to talk to jamal. roman is just glaring at remus and not saying anything and holding jamals hand tightly. remus hasnt embarrassed him too bad so far, just asking jamal questions and referring to roman as his "baby brother" which is so annoying, but the thing is roman can tell hes building up to something
then suddenly remus smirks when he sees a completely pitch black side street thats theyre about to pass by, and he calls out to everyone "hey guys, there's a 24/7 mcdonalds through here and its a shortcut to the bus stop" and everyones like WOO mcdonalds and redirects to go down the side street
and romans heart pounds watching the friends all filter down the street without a second thought, theres no streetlights down there, theres light on the other side quite far away, but before that its SO DARK. and he freezes in place and jamal is tugged back by it and looks back at him. "babe, come on"
romans starting to feel shaky and he literally cant move his feet. his eyes flick between the street and remus' sadistic cocky smirk.
"whats wrong baby bro? you stuck or something?" remus leers with that stupid stupid smirk
and roman HATES him so so much
"ro, what's the matter?" jamal asks
"i- um," roman stutters, trying to keep his voice from shaking too much at the sight of his friends just having DISAPPEARED into the darkness - how are they okay with that?? "i- im not hungry"
"okay well i am, and remus said it was a shortcut anyway so-"
"i-i -- no i can't"
seraphina, romans best friend, looks back and notices whats happening and quickly jogs over (knowing roman is scared of the dark) "hey roma, it's okay we dont have to go down there" she soothes
jamal is supportive but he doesnt get it. he thinks roman is scared of criminals or smth. "i promise theres no one bad down there, hun. and i'll be right next to you the whole time, i'll protect you" and he smiles and tugs romans hand to pull him towards the side street
romans eyes quickly tear up and he panics and rambles "nononono dont please please i cant i cant" in a broken voice and plants his feet firmly on the ground, paralysed with fear
remus starts cackling "ohhhhh thats right~" as if he just remembered. "my baby brother's terrified of the dark, isn't he?"
"f*ck off, re" sera barks, standing between the twins, protective of roman
"wait, are you?" jamal asks sounding surprised. roman doesnt let himself look at him, too busy watching remus warily and knowing thats not all he has planned to embarrass roman
remus goes on, shouting out to jamal over sera's head "he's petrified!" he confirms sounding delighted. "yknow that massive blackout last summer? he cried like a baby. literally sobbing for his daddy patton to make it go away"
theres a brief silence because no, sera and jamal didnt expect remus to refer to patton as romans daddy - they both know roman calls him dad but this is a surprise.
and that one second of silence drags on for ages for roman, all he can hear is his heart pounding in his ears and remus' obnoxious laughter
he is shaking, frozen in shock rather than fear now. for all of remus' teasing threats at home, he didnt expect remus to actually do it. hes devastated and humiliated that remus told to his best friend and especially his BOYFRIEND of all ppl
and honestly he's not even thinking about the pitch black side street right now because the streetlights on the main road are blurred by tears welling in his eyes anyway
"why dont you just leave him alone!" sera hisses furiously after her mild shock
then jamal bounces back rlly stern to remus "yeah i already know about that! roman told me and it was HIS choice to tell me"
roman stares at him in disbelief but jamal is too busy staring daggers at remus to notice
remus looks suddenly offended and frowns. hes clearly hurt that the others dont think its funny "jeez youre both such bores. im just having some fun"
"youre demented if you think thats fun" seraphina growls and shoves remus away towards the sidestreet. remus rolls his eyes and runs ahead to join the others who are all oblivious to that coversation, howling with drunken laughter in the pitch black and jumping out and scaring each other
"f*cking prick" jamal calls after remus, seething
sera quickly throws a concerned look to roman "you okay?"
roman just swallows thickly and looks between seraphina and where he saw remus join the others in the pitch black. his stomach churns at the idea of remus telling more people. "i-is he gonna--"
"im on it" sera nods and starts turning around "i wont let him tell anyone else, roma, promise" then she runs ahead to keep an eye on remus and to give him and jamal some privacy
after a moment jamal turns back to roman looking so worried and holds his hands and asks very gently "babe, can you tell me how youre feeling?"
and roman is teary but he whispers "i - you stuck up for me"
jamal looks suddenly sad and cups romans cheek "of course i did"
"but you said i told you about it. i- i didnt tell you that i-" roman gulps after his voice wobbles "i didnt tell you about it"
and jamal smiles sadly and goes "i know babe... im sorry, i just didnt wanna give him any more power. it seemed like he's held that over you for a while"
suddenly the tears in romans eyes overspill and he doesnt really know why but he can't stop them
jama gasps a little "oh roman, its ok" and just pulls him into a tight hug
roman clings and sniffles, glad that he can hide his tears from his boyfriend even if it is in his neck.
and jamal just strokes his back and whispers "its ok baby, its ok" **
they talk about it quietly as they take the longer, well-lit route instead. roman admits he would never have told jamal abt his fear on his own - and the reason he's been avoiding staying overnight at jamals apartment is bc the one time he did he got so scared of the dark that he couldnt sleep and was just anxious all night but wouldnt wake jamal to tell him
after jamal finds out hes like baby why didnt u tell me its okay and comforts him about it not being embarrassing or childish. then:
"so you do actually want to stay at mine, its just because its so dark that you didnt?"
roman nods shyly "yeah... im sorry i know its a dumb fear i just-"
"its not dumb ro. i meant to say if it works for you, we could leave the hall light on and the door open. its not like i live with anyone who can walk in."
roman blinks "wait you - really? it wont make it hard for you to sleep?"
jamal smiles softly "no hun, honestly i could sleep anywhere. i fell asleep in the middle of the day in the staffroom just last month"
roman laughs, so so so relieved
"so... maybe next time you come over for dinner you could stay the night, yeah?" jamal says with a smile and a blush. he wraps his arm around romans waist and pulls him in, hip to hip
roman bites his lip and blushes. after a moment he suggests shyly "im free tonight..."
and jamal smiles so big, stops walking and puts his arm up to romans chest to stop him too then angles romans jaw down to kiss him
in the near future jamal promises to buy a plain nightlight and always leaves it on for roman when he stays overnight from then on
**side note: roman could never stand anyone calling him baby before because he felt infantilised at school becaus of his undiagnosed adhd. so he sees it as a derogatory name more than anything. but when jamal says it roman feels so warm and respected because he knows jamal would never mean it in that way. so jamal has "baby" rights basically

Stuck in the Middle with You
Bakugo X Reader
Reader is a closet couponer and when word started spreading that there was going to be a mandatory quarantine to fend off a virus you weren't worried. You had enough supplies to last for months. However it wasn't until now that you realized you had no idea how to cook and you relied on take out and fast food for most of your meals. The only person who knew about your crazy couponing habit was Bakugo, so when he called and asked if he could raid your stash you got an idea.
Words: 2405
Tumblr media
*****************************************************************************************************
You scrolled through your phone on your way home. Every headline was about the rising death toll of some crazy new virus making its way across the world. Work had sent everyone home until further notice and you couldn't stop the anxiety from bubbling up in your stomach. Logically you knew you were fine. You were a very clean and healthy person not to mention the fact that you had a secret stash of goods in your basement that you had from couponing.
You didn't tell people about you little hobby because you knew how it looked. Most people think couponers are cheap crazy people who just enjoy hoarding random stuff. Well jokes on them, because now you can go home and not have to risk your life over a roll of toilet paper at the store.
The only person who knew about your hoard was Bakugo. He had stumbled upon it one night when you had hosted movie night for you and all of your friends. You had sworn him to secrecy but naturally he made sure to make fun of you before returning to your friends upstairs. Shortly after that anytime Bakugo would find himself near your office he’d make a point to drop off any coupons he had collected since seeing you last. He always had something mean to say when he dropped them off. But you knew it was just his way to show he cared.
You weren't a hero like the rest of them but you had all gone to UA. You had just taken a different path after graduation. You decided hero work just wasnt for you and went back to school. You had decided to go into forensic psychology instead. Your quirk allowed you to read peoples minds, but only in fragments. Sometimes it was hard to piece together what it all meant, especially if you didn’t know them personally. So you gave up the flashy cape and now work behind a desk.
You went down to the basement to take inventory of your stash of goods and tried to estimate how long it would last. If you were smart about it you could definitely spread it out over a few months. No that you anticipated it would take that long. You were halfway up the steps back to the main level of the house when you stopped short... You had no idea how to cook.... Sure a lot of it was no brainer stuff. Dump it from the can into a bowl, pop it on the stove or microwave and done. But that was only going to get you so far. You had relied way too heavily on fast food the past few years. You had never felt the need to learn how to cook. You guess you could always look up Youtube tutor-
“Burn baby burn! Disco inferno! Burb baby burn!” You phone began to ring a very specific ringtone that was assigned to one very specific person. Disco inferno continued to blare as you got an excellent idea.
“Bakugo! What do I have the pleasure of this phone call?”
You could practically hear him role his eyes at you, “Save it shrink, I need some stuff for this dumbass quarantine but there's no fucking way I’m going to the grocery store. We both know I’d end up blowing something up.”
You tried to hide your giggles at the mental image of Bakugo fighting a middle aged women over bottled water. “So you called me? Why?”
You knew exactly why he was calling. And he knew, that you knew why he was calling. You just wanted to hear him ask nicely for once. He groaned and took a deep breath, “Listen here idiot. I know you have tons of shit in that basement of yours. I also know I personally provided several coupons that contributed to that hoard of yours.”
“So? You think that means you are entitled to some of it then?”
“WHAT?! NO! I’m just... shit y/n I’m just asking if I can come pick up some essentials. I’ll even pay you for it.... please?”
You giggled, “I’m just messing with you Bakugo. Of course you can come get some stuff... but on one condition.”
You heard him sigh and mutter something under his breath, “What do you need?”
Your grin grew from ear to ear, “Oh nothing big... I just need you to teach me how to cook...”
The phone was silent for a few moments, “You don't know how to cook? THEN WHY THE HELL DO YOU STASH ALL OF THOSE GROCERIES?!”
You rolled your eyes, “Can you help me or not?”
He scoffed, “Y/n were supposed to be quarantined... I can’t exactly hang out at your house and teach you how to cook. That is something that takes time.”
“Okay so come get your stuff and in exchange when ever you make something FaceTime me and walk me through it...”
“Are you really that bad of a cook?”
You chewed on your lip, a nasty habit you did when you were stressed out, “YES! okay.. I mean I actually dont know. I’ve never actually tried. I practically live off starbucks, take out, and the cafeteria at my office building...”
“....Fine. I’ll be there in 10 minuets.”
He hung up before you could thank him.
You went ahead and went up to your room to change out of your work clothes and into something more comfortable. You hated the formal attire you were forced to wear and usually stripped down the second the front door was closed behind you. Down to a tank top and leggings you strolled back downstairs just in time to hear a knock at the door.
You pulled the door open to a grumpy looking Bakugo who came prepared with a box to put his supplies in. “Alright let’s get this over with. follow me downstairs.”
He pushed past you, “I don’t need your help thanks. I have enough cash to cover for anything I’ll take. I need go get back home soon before they decide to lock us down.”
You rolled your eyes as you followed him down to the basement, “I already told you, you dont have to pay me. Just make sure I dont starve. And what do you mean lockdown?”
Bakugo placed his box on a table and started loading it up with canned goods, toilet paper, water, and whatever else he needed. “Yeah dumbass lockdown. Have you not been watching the news? They’re considering making it mandatory that everyone stay inside until further notice. No exceptions.”
You bit your lip, “Well surely that doesn’t apply to you right? You’re a hero. You have hero shit to do. There’s no way they’d force you to stay locked up.”
He growled, “Yeah you’d think. But with mandatory lockdown crime will go down. They may need some people to help enforce it but that's more like police work. I think their exact words were, ‘a sick hero isn't good for anything’ or something like that. So unless they really need us they’d prefer us to sit out asses at home and stay healthy.”
You bit your lip even harder. You hadn't known is was that serious. You thought everyone was just trying to be cautious but now it felt... kind of scary. You would be stuck here, all alone, by yourself. No one here but you. No where to go. No one to listen, no one to help. Sure you had practically raised yourself. You had lived off of whatever you could microwave since you were a child. Oh shit you didnt want to think about that. Not now. You had a tendency to spiral when you thought about your childhood. You couldnt do that now, not with Bakugo standing in the same room. Your mind was spinning you didnt even notice Bakugo talking to you.
He would have been irritated but you honestly looked upset, even a little pale if he was being honest. He gently took your elbow in his hand and gave it a good squeeze, “Earth to Y/n. Hello anyone home.”
You squeezed your eyes shut for a brief moment before returning to reality, “I dont even know how to make coffee.”
Bakugo gave you a weird look. He knew you tended to be a worrier by nature but you seemed like you were about to crack. “Well if you hurry up maybe I can show you before I leave. But I’m serious when I say I’m leaving in 10 minutes regardless.”
You followed him back upstairs and into the kitchen in a daze. You could feel the spiral forming. You could feel your head growing fuzzy as your heart thumped in your chest. You made it to the top of the steps when Bakugo’s phone buzzed. He answered it all the while staring at you. He could see something was wrong. You looked like you were about to faint. You knew he was talking to someone but you couldn’t hear what he was saying over the loud thoughts in your head.
You started to slump to the floor and leaned back against the refrigerator. This was it. You were officially having a panic attack. In front of Bakugo of all people. Before you knew it Bakugo was on his knees in front of you. He took your face in his hands. His tone was very soft and comforting, but his words couldn't reach your ears.
His thumb softly wiped the silent tears that were now flowing down your cheeks. You hadn't even known you were crying. Your heart continued to race as your brain did it's best to convince you that you were dying. Finally he leaned in and kissed you. It wasnt passionate or sloppy. Just a hard, firm press of his lips against yours.
Then the clouds started to fade away. You usually never used your quirk on your friends but you couldn’t help it. You were hit with a fragment of his consciousness and all you saw was an article on panic attacks. He had googled this at some point. He had read an article on what to do if someone had a panic attack. Your heart rate slowed and your breathing slowly evened out.
His hands remained cupped around your cheeks as his red eyes bore into your and watched as you came back to yourself. “Y/n nod your head if you can hear me.” You nodded your head and he eyes melted with relief. “Are you okay? I mean duh your not okay but you know what I mean...” You nodded again. He took a huge breath and pulled you to him in a comforting embrace. “Alright dumbass just try to match your breathing to mine... let me know when you're good or whatever.”
He was trying to sound irritated but you knew he was just trying to protect his tough guy reputation. After a few minutes of you leaning into him you started to blush. “Oh my god. I’m so sorry. I’m mortified.” You pushed him away slightly and leaned back against the wall. “You shouldn’t have had to see me like that. I’m usually better at... you know...” You rubbed your arm nervously and bit into your already sore lip.
He continued to observe you like you were about to shatter, “Well I wasnt going to leave you hyperventilating on the floor. I’m a hero. I’m pretty sure I could lose my license for that.”
You smirked and stood up on wobbly legs. “Well thanks... that was actually the quickest I’ve come out of one of those. Whatever you looked up worked.”
It was now his turn to blush. “How did you know I looked it up?”
You shrugged, “I saw it. Well a piece of it. You know how it is. Bits and pieces... so is that why you uh.... you know?”
Bakugo stood up and collected his phone from where he had dropped it, “Uh yeah... I remembered seeing it on some dumb tv show but I wasnt sure if it was true or not....” He looked with a weird look of concern but also annoyance, “Look you dont have to talk about it... but if you want to.... I'm here for you.”
You stepped closer and gave him a hug, “Thanks. You’re too sweet. But it’s a long story and you should probably head home before you end up stuck here.”
He put his hand on your forehead and pushed you away. “Oi I meant it when I said I was here for you damnit!” He turned around and continued on his quest to make coffee. “Besides I can’t really leave anyways...”
Your eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. “What do you mean you cant leave?”
He kept his back to you as he looked through the cabinets for a coffee maker. “Well you know that phone call I got right before you freaked out. It was my boss letting me know that mandatory lockdown is in place as of now.” When you didn’t answer he turned to look at you, “He also informed me that someone from my apartment building tested positive, so I really cant go home.”
You nodded at him before going to the cabinet that held your coffee maker that had never even been out of the box. “Okay.”
Bakugo took the box from your hands with a cautious look, “Okay? OKAY! You literally just had a fucking melt down over the fact that we were going into lockdown and now your just..... OKAY!”
You shrugged as you went to the refrigerator to pull our a bottle of water. “Yeah, I’m fine.” You took a few  gulps of water before returning your attention to his confused face, “Not that yelling at me is helping by the way...”
His cheeks reddened just slightly before he narrowed his eyes, “So we’re stuck together huh?”
You sighed, “Looks like it....”
He growled, “Fuck my life...”
You crossed your arms over your chest, “I’m not exactly thrilled either alright.”
He shook his head and started pulling out pots and pans, “How do you like your pancakes?”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “What?”
“Are you def or just stupid. If we’re going to be stuck here then I want breakfast for dinner. So I will ask one more time... How do you like your fucking pancakes?”
You bit your lip, “With chocolate chips please...”

Field Trip With A Rich Bitch ll (Rafe Cameron X Reader)
Tumblr media
Warnings:Ward Cameron,Mentions of Arsenic Poisoning,Mentions of heavy drugs, mentions of bipolar disorder, mentions of death,Rafe being too tall for every day life
He raised his eyebrows. “Where?”He asked. You rolled your eyes, wishing you had a bottle of wine to take a swig from in that moment. “What? You scared you’re gonna get mud on your shoes?”You asked. He sighed, scratching the back of his neck. “How far away is it?”He asked. “Nevermind, rich bitch, clearly you don't want to know the truth about your father.”You went to turn around but his hand grabbed your wrist quickly. “No,no it's not like that...I just wanna know where we’re going.”He mumbled. You pulled your hand from his grasp, staring down at him. “Come on,then.”You told him, beginning your walk outside the garage. His bike was nearly done, scratches holes and dents gone. The last thing to fix was the seat which wouldn't take long at all.He grabbed his phone, sliding it in his pocket.
He followed you out of the garage, waiting with his hands in his pockets as you pulled the garage door shut, bending over to place a lock on it.You could feel him staring at you. “Stop being a perv.”You grumbled, clicking the lock shut and stood back up.You could see the red blush on his cheek, spreading down his neck and ears.He was so easy to fluster. It was hilarious.Rafe had beat the living hell out of multiple teenagers, made some children cry with a glance and came from one of the most powerful families. But here you were, bossing him around, making him blush and causing him to stutter out apologies. You had that power over most people. Some kooks called you a demon and you embraced it.Most people didn't know it but you had the word tattooed on your thigh with two devil horns hovering over it.You were manipulative, assertive and strong.
You had the charm and the looks to get people to like you without knowing you and you had the glare that made the hair on the back of people’s necks stick up straight. You hadnt always been like that, only becoming this emotionless ball of rage after Ward Cameron had destroyed everything that made your life worth living. The beautiful thing was you had Ward Cameron’s one and only son wrapped around your finger and there was nothing he could do about it.Rafe was deprived of attention. Not only was Ward a terrible person but a terrible father as well.Rafe was desperate for attention now and if you gave him the attention he wanted he was all yours. You knew that and deep down he knew it too. “We’ll take the woods,I can't risk being seen with you.”You walked around the back of the garage. It was a steep hill full of rocks and some poison ivy.You knew where not to step and Rafe did his best to step the same places you did.You were pretty far ahead of him, around ten feet.Down the hill was a narrow pavement trail, cracks and holes all over it. “Anyone ever told you that you walk slow for a tall person?”You asked.
He grinned to himself, trying not to fall while also trying not to hit his head on any branches. “How long do you think we’ll be out for?”He asked. You shrugged. “Maybe an hour.”You replied, walking along the narrow pavement.Rafe wasn't used to being in the woods,at least not this deep in the woods,he was jumping at every noise. “Do you think that was a wolf?” “No.” “Did you hear that?” “No.” “Oh my god-what if there's a dead body out here?” “Rafe. We’re going to a cemetery,if there are no dead bodies then that would be a problem.” “I hate cemeteries.” “Well that sucks for you.” As you were coming to the end of the narrow pavement into the grass Rafe jumped from the crunch of a twig, grabbing onto you and pulling you to his chest. You stood stiff, his arms tightening around your waist as he listened for more sounds. “Are you going to let go of me or will I have to drag you?”You asked. He let go of you with a huff. “Do you think we should head back?”He asked. You sighed.
This was what you got from bringing a kook into the woods. “You're such a pussy.”You sighed, continuing your walk.He kept kicking the back of your heel by accident because he was so close behind you.You two walked onto the grass, looking across the field at the gravestones, benches and statues. He had come here a few times for late night drug deals and drinking with Kelce and Topper. It was a creepy old place that always made him shiver.Beer cans and red solo cups littered the ground from his previous trips here. You sighed as you looked across the graveyard to one corner, the one furthest away.He watched as you began your walk across the field. Most of the graves were covered in pollen and dirt splotches, the grass almost as tall as the stones themselves. It was gross and unkept and smelled like weed and cheap beer from gas stations. His feet were sinking into the mud, causing him to grumble something about how annoying it would be to clean them.He dragged his feet as he followed you to one large stone with vines growing up the sides. There were muddy streaks across the names like someone had tried to wipe it clean with a dirty hand.
“Rafe, meet my parents.Mom,Dad meet the rich bitch.”You sighed, standing in front of the grave.Rafe’s eyes widened, his chest tightening. You grinned at his reaction. “What?”You asked. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. What was he even supposed to say?Sorry your parents are dead and ended up in this shitty cemetery.Sorry I dealt cocaine by your parents grave.Sorry half those beer cans are mine. “Close your mouth Rafe, you look like a trout.”You smirked. He closed his mouth, gulping and tapping his leg nervously. “I bet you’re wondering what your dad has to do with this.”You spoke, observing his expression. He nodded, looking at the date on the grave. They had both died on the same day of 2004 which meant you were only two years old at the time. “You ever wonder how your father got all that money in the first place?Cause I can tell you it's definitely not whatever bull shit story he’s been telling everyone.”You used the sleeve of your yellow shirt to wipe the dirt off your parents’ names. He bit the inside of his cheek, waiting for you to continue.
“Your dad was a dealer. He was my parents dealer.Im not talking about weed either,I mean the heavy shit.Heroin,crack,xanax.What kind of asshole deals xanax?Anyways,he sold to my parents and when they tried to get off the stuff he convinced them to keep buying from him. When they found my ma’s body they found that same heavy shit in her system. But here’s where the story gets really interesting. Not only did they find the heroin but guess what they found.Guess.”You ordered him.He blinked, glancing between you and the grave. “I-I dont know.”He mumbled. You nodded. “Arsenic.Your shitty father poisoned the drugs he gave my parents.WHo does that?”You sighed, flicking a bug off of the grave stone. He bit his lip as he took in this new information. “And he didnt get arrested or charged or anything?”He asked.
You laughed. “What do you think? You think Sarah Cameron would exist? You think you’d live in that big house with all of that nice stuff and your fancy ass gold plated spoons? No.None of that would be possible if your father got what he deserved. You know what your father got?A nice house, millions of dollars,a handsome son and multiple yachts.Thats what he got after killing my parents. You know what I had to grow up with?A one bedroom house with three cousins and a bipolar aunt.Thats what I got.”You ranted, tears stinging in your eyes as you got louder and louder. He didn't say anything, scared that only squeaks would come out.You bit your lip to hold back to the tears, the water leaking from your eyes and down your cheeks as you laughed. “And now my aunt and my baby cousin are dead too!”You gestured to the grave next to you. “And you know what else?I've had to work for 12 years of my life and you know where I live?In a shitty house thats falling apart and all I do is work on cars and bikes every single day and I cant even feel my hands anymore and I have fucking broken toes from kneeling all day and I cant even afford to go to a fucking hospital. And the only person that I can blame is your dad.”You wiped the tears from your face with your sleeves, smearing dirt across your cheekbone.
His bottom lip quivered, fingertips going numb as he listened to you.Something compelled him to step forward, grabbing your waist gently and pulling you into a hug.You did not fight him.If it were under any other circumstances then telling him that his father had been a drug lord, killed your parents, ruined your life and caused you to work every day of your life then maybe you wouldn't have accepted the hug.You never thought you’d be hugging Rafe Cameron,or any kook for that matter. “I can um...I can bring you to the hospital to get your toes fixed.”He offered. You laughed into his chest, getting tears on his shirt. “Wow,thanks.”You whispered, laughing again. He gulped, resting his chin on your head.It seemed that you had both needed a hug.You were holding onto him so tightly, holding fistfulls of his shirt in your hands. He hadnt hugged anyone in years and it seemed that you hadnt either. “Do yourself a favor and don't turn into your father. And if you keep going down the path you’re going down now then you’ll end up just like my parents.”You sighed. He frowned.
You sounded like one of those commercials of people staring at the camera with crocodile tears running down their faces as they talked about some loved one who had died and how drugs weren't the answer. You probably didn't know though,it wasn't like you could afford cable. He just nodded, knowing you did not need his attitude right now. “(Y/N).”He mumbled. You hummed, closing your eyes. You didnt cry often and never in front of people but when you did cry it stung like hell. You couldn't exactly rub your eyes with your fingers either because they had traces of oil and chemicals. “What if we piss my father off and get him to confess to the murders?”He asked. You sniffled, looking up at him with puffy eyes. “How?”You asked.
Part Three will be up this weekend!

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jaskier stood befor you in your rented room dunking the bloodied rag into a jug of cool water before wringing it out then lightly dabbing your eye brow and angry claw marks on your face. Ciri stood off to the side apprehensive watching the bard tend to the wound.
"Got her good tho didnt i?" He smirked at that trying so hard to be disappointed in you but he really couldnt.
"Yes I even won a bit of coin, lets just hope the other two dont come back until this has gone down we can explain the black eye and cut but not the scratches."
"Yeah ... I still have all my teeth tho!" Cheerful in your victory utterly pleased with yourself Ciri shook her head at this then spoke up in disbelief.
"Where did that even come from?" You grinned wincing again as it hurt the bruises that were forming on your cheek and jaw.
"Well my sweet Cirilla a few years of pent up anger can do wonders for your right hook or in my case bitch slap" She snorted relaxing as she saw that you were to all intents and purposes unharmed. She wandered over to the bags on the chair by the bed.
"Wait Jask did you say coin? You put coin down?" Jaskier shrugged in response to your question dipping the rag in to the water again.
"Hey they started taking bets at the bar, I wasnt gonna join in but then looked at you , there was no way you werent gonna put her down ,your face looked a lot like Geralts growley face"  He swiped over your face one last time there was a pregnant pause.
"So you gonna split the coin?"
"Nope" He said popping the p dropping the now pink cloth with a wet slap on the table. Your younger sister from another mister walked back over to you with a small vial. Poppy milk or better known to you as morphine.
"Yennefer left us some poppy milk for emergencies, you should take some now before you really start feeling it.How are we going to keep this from them?" Waving a hand motioning to your damaged face as Jaskier prepaird the medicine. If you were honest you didnt think that far ahead at the time you just needed to ko that Bitch -which you did thank you very much- but you knew what Ciri was getting at Geralt and Yennefer were a couple of mother hens... allbeit slightly more intimidating... and dangerous... and volatile.
"Not sure we can" You replied nodding greatfully at Jaskier who offered cup of water that held a dose of the pain killer. Knocking it back before pulling faces at the bitter taste.
"Oh god! Ugh no" you shook your head befor quickly eating a cube of cheese from the small platter in front of you. The singer shrugged ignoring your outbust looking between the both of you.
"All i do know is that your going to be in trouble when they do find out" He said in a sing song voice you slumped back in the chair grunting.
"Oh yer how'd you figure its just me in shit Jask" Sputtering he glared at you
"Maybe because your the one who decided to turn savage and attack a whore! You even bit her bit" You tapped a pointing finger on the table
"Ok fisrt things first she hit me first got a strict rule never throw the fisrt punch but allways throw the last and second yeah fair enough i bit her but she was fighting dirty. And you could have pulled me off her, you also placed a bet on me which was encouraging it.If im going down your coming with me." He gaped at you in disbelief.
"What about her she didn't intervene either?"
"She also didn't bet on me."
"I don't think Geralt himself could have dragged y/n off her" Ciri quipped from the side lines you nodded at her continuing.
"Not only that im pretty sure they left you in charge bard so really when you think about it its all your fault" He pailed as you and Ciri high fived.
"I need to lie down" Wobbling to the bed flopping on it face first. You and Ciri shared a look after a few beats of silence befor being asked the enevitable question
"So how did it start anyway?"
"Thats what id like to know" Came from the bed as Jaskier sat up.
"Not really sure she was just running her mouth i geuss" You lied patting her head befor freighning tirednes making your way to the other bed deciding that she never has to know the real reason to you cat fighting with a whore. A few days later after the scratches and swelling had faded the others returned they hastily made their way up to the room. Geralt started speaking as he stormed through the door.
"Can some one explain to me why iv just had to pay for a whores loss of earnings And medical costs?" You balked
"Loss of earnings I knocked out her teeth surely shes making double on blowies" Jaskier snorted into his mug
"What the fuck happened?" Geralt growled out not finding your comment amusing in the slightest as he saw the clawed bruised cheek, blackened eye and cut on your brow he quickly gave Ciri and Jaskier the once over fearing youd all been attacked, relife flooded him when he saw they were ok . Yennefer gasped striding past the seething witcher stopping in front of you placing a soothing hand on you uninjured cheek.
"Who did this?" She whispered you beamed at her nuzzling into her palm.
"Dont worry I dealt with it. Besides I got off lightly you should see my opponent" Ciri nodded in agreement befor breifly explaining.
"Y/n had a fight with a whore, beat her into the ground actually then knocked her out with a single back hander. Was quite immpressive to watch"
"Made a satisfying sound to" Jaskier added Geralt looked between the three of you.
"So Y/n had a cat fight with a whore?" You all nodded
"And did enough damage to not only knock out teeth but keep her out of work for a few days?" The three of you shared a look and nodded the hunter sighed a deep breath crossing him arms.
"Do i want to know what started it?"
"Probably not" was you offered choosing once again to keep the fact it was for Ciri's sake to yourself, trying to trick you in to selling yourself for a night was one thing but planning to drug and sell Ciri was a completely different ball game. She was family. No one was getting away with that not on your watch its lucky you caught on to the hushed conversation. You dont want to think about what could have happend if you hadnt been paying attention. Geralt threw his hand up looking towards Yennefer when it was clear none of you were going to elaborate any more then that. Aproaching he droped his swords and bag taking Yenns place tilting your face to inspect your wounds.
"Well they didnt do much damage or manage to fracture anything ,even your nose which is good." He leaned in kissing your forhead chasetly. As yenn preceeded to pull you over to where her bag was on the bed with a healing balm in hand stippling it over the cut on your face.
"Fighting a whore honestly, can't leave you alone for a few days with out you getting into trouble. I hope you know your in trouble missy" She muttered as she flitted threw her bag then began fussing over your split knuckles applying a different ointment.
"And the money we had to give her for this whole incident is comming out of your allowance starting today" Geralt grunted from the table Jaskier and Ciri watched in peels of laughter as you tried squirming away from the sorceress pleading with the unimpressed white haired male you continued protesting at Geralt's decision until he pinned you with a stern look that shut you up. Yeah he wasnt a happy camper.
"And your grounded from singing bard" Jaskier stopped laughing
"What?"
"you were told to take care of them and it doesnt take an idiot to guess why this is considerably heavier you dont make this much from singing alone" he growled out lifting up jaskiers bulging coin pouch .All in all the couple took it better than any of you thought they would, you were relieved they didnt push the issue as if they knew what had kicked it off they probaly would have burnt that whore house to the ground, whores and all... Jaskier did share his winnings tho so it all worked out in the end,Jaskier made a weeks worth of coin in a night, you saved Ciri ,let out some pent up aggression and Geralt didnt have kill anyone.

Fame - Angus Cloud (3)
Summary- a luckily timed audition leads to you falling for your new and unexpected co-star.
Warnings- okay HI welcome to my first multi chapter series woah?! this is actually so exciting for me like wow especially since angus doesn’t have any fics yet im just really really excited- so warnings! smut for sure, bad words, lotsa fluff, angst- everything in one basically. here comes a ride and I hope you enjoy :)
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3 {reading now}
-
Well, needless to say you got the role.
The final run through with Drake was successful, he started spewing off about how talented you were. You did your usual which was smile and nod, and Angus told you to "Stop being so shy mamas. You gotta get used to this."
Time flew as you turned in forms, focused on moving closer to set, and grew your social media audience. It was all exciting but also overwhelming, however you already loved it.
You and Angus seemed to be getting more comfortable with each other, the tension was wearing off and a simple friendship was forming. The luxury apartment you were moving into for when filming ceased was conveniently just a few doors down from his apartment, you two were going to be in the same complex. You talked quite often and filming hadn't even started yet, and you almost felt silly for feeling intimidated, if that was even the word, by him before. He'd offered to come over to help you move in- and even though the tension had faded, your {sometimes} inappropriate thoughts of him hadn't.
But today was the day everything kicked into gear, because today was the first day of filming.
You and Angus decided to meet up at a small, locally owned coffee shop before heading to set. You could both go together, and since he offered to drive, you could save some gas.
You got there early, you two were to meet at 7:30 am, you were there at 7:25 due to leaving time to dodge the traffic. Angus came through the door yawning at 8:17- due to oversleeping.
"Do you always do this?" you laughed sliding a donut over to him as he sat down across from you in the booth.
"Do what?" he asked, eating half of the donut in one big bite.
"Are you always late- like on set? Because most of my scenes are with you and I-"
"You think ahead a lot, I just like sleeping, you should like it too you feel what I mean? Sleep is just that bitch...if there was a girl like sleep then I would have a girl."
Half of the time the things Angus came up with made zero sense to you, but you always just agreed and moved along. For example, yesterday night he called you at 12:32 am just to let you know that the Frosted Flakes box had 'of corn' in small writing under the bold logo. You said you'd never noticed that- which was the truth, and then that led to him telling you the complete history of Mandela effects. You didn't get back to bed until 1:54.
"And to be fair Y/N, you kept me up last night with that Mandela effect shit." he said with a smirk as he finished off the donut.
Your mouth fell open as you rolled your eyes "Boy as if! You wish I-"
"So you quoting 90s movies now? That's new, don't really know how I feel ab-"
"Lets go," you shook your head standing up and tossing your coffee cup into the garbage.
You two walked out and into the warm LA air. "You read the scripts at all?" He asked you as you headed to his car.
"I did! We have a lot of scenes...some are quite different."
"What you mean? Not boutta lie I didn't read anything past the first episode cuz them other shits too far away."
"Well, sex is always a given in Euphoria."
"Yeah them nude scenes finna make me feel a bit violated if you know what I mean."
"You'll be fine, all you show is your ass but I have to-"
"Oh shit I gotta show my cheeks? For real? On television- aw nah I gotta talk to somebody about tha-"
"I have to show everything except my baby maker so...who really has it worse?"
"Yo' baby maker? Is that them gorgeous eyes cuz it sure does make me want to make a baby wit' you."
Was that a joke-
He did this alot. You never knew if he was actually flirting or if it was just him joking around, but you always assumed it was the latter.
"Was that a...was that a joke from you Angus? How rare!"
He flipped you off with a goofy grin at the next red light and you laughed. "No all jokes aside though Gus, I gotta show my whole body, titties and all. Like my parents are going to watch this how do I? Explain?"
“Well we can fuck wit’ all that when we get to it.”
“Oh baby...” You said sarcastically. “You didn't actually read the first episodes script did you?”
“What you mean?”
You pulled the script from out of your tote, clearing your throat before you started to read. “Jess looks at Fez with a gleam of interest in her eyes. ‘Its been awhile tiger’ she says in a certain way, a way that makes Fez adjust his- yeah I’m not reading that- ‘It has’ Fez says biting his lip. He wants her, but he doesn't know if she wants him too...he thinks she doe-”
“We gotta have sex the first episode? Nah you lying.”
“Episode 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8.”
“Holy shit what?! Aint nobody have that much sex last season...”
“Yeah but its because of our storyline. Jess and Fez constantly want each other and they think the only way to let it out is through sex- they are both terrible with commitment and Jess is afraid of Fez’s dealing; even if she wants to be with him that's keeping her away.”
“Damn, my manz Fez gettin’ the short end of the stick.”
“Jess is the only one getting a short stick Angus.”
It took him a minute to understand what you said, but as soon as he comprehended it his eyes widened. “Girl no you didnt- you know I’m packing- how you gon’ do me like that?!” he said defensively as he parked. You couldn't help but to laugh as you hurried out of the car. “Imma get you back for that!” He yelled after you. You shook your head and walked to the main trailer where everyone was to gp.
Walking in you saw only Z and Storm, Queen Bey played softly in the background showing the girls in front of you were in their element. “Hey girl!” Z said giving you a quick side hug. “Dont worry about being late, its all good. You came with Angus didn't you?”
You nodded whilst rolling your eyes and took the key she was holding out, walking back out and to your trailer.
The trailer was cozy, comfortable and not too small. It had quite a modern look to it, and the look on the outside didn't match the inside at all. You smiled as you sat on the sofa, seeing a white envelope on the glass table. On it was scribbled ‘Angus and Y/N’. Before you could get up to go over to his trailer, he walked in- no invitation, no knock, no anything. “Gee!!!! Good thing I wasn’t naked!” You said sarcastically as you glared at him.
“Yeah whateva. We gotta read this letter together I guess.” He said plopping down beside you.
“Yeah yeah okay, I can read it out loud.” You said cracking open the envelope and pulling out the bright white printer paper. “Okay here we go...it's from...Drake?”
“Ah shit.”
“Don’t worry yet, it's probably just- let me just read.”
Angus nodded and got more comfortable on the sofa as you started to read. “Angus and Y/N. On behalf of your upcoming roles I wanted to tell you guys to loosen up. Theres alot of sexy time to film, and I don't want the viewers to feel the sexual tension from Angus and Y/N, I want them to feel it radiating from Jess and Fez. Make kissing casual, make being naked around each other casual too. Don't make that shit weird. And Angus, make sure you can get it up. If it takes...oh-” you stopped for a moment.
“What?” Angus looked at you and you cocked your head to one side still inspecting the letter.
“Okay- here, he said: If it takes walking around each other unclothed then do it, take care of that tension between you two. I could feel it in the final run through, meaning that the viewers would be able to sense it as well. I'm only saying all this cuz its your first time filming together. I need art, not high school production shit. You guys have the passion, and you click. But there's something missing. Make the fuck out and get this show on the road. I'm always a call away if its not working out-- Drake.”
“Well damn. What he tryna say?”
“Angus it's clear what he's saying- I mean come on I feel the tension between us too, and I don't know what it is but hes right, whatever it is we need to get over it, and move on from that. This is business- an art form we have to work through. Ight?”
“Ight. So what I’m hearing is we gotta make out and get naked.”
“We aren't doing anything until ya girl takes a nap.”
“How you sleepy we just got here and you woke up 3 hours ago?”
“Listen man it is not my fault I only got 4 and a half hours of sleep-”
“SO you tryna say it’s mine?!” “It is! With your mandela effecr loving ass.”
He chuckled under his breath. “Okay okay, fair. But lemme sleep wit’ you.” “What? Why?”
“You the one that read the letter, we gotta drop this tension lil mama. And if we legit just sleeping, ion see nun wrong wit’ it, do you?”
You thought it over, and he had a point. There was nothing wrong with it, sleeping is sleeping...and besides, you two would have to do much worse.
“Whatever, come on.”
“Let’s go to my trailer though.”
“What? Why? Ion wanna walk come on Angu-”
“I can carry you then. But my place more homey, you just got here and your bed ain’t even got sheets.”
Damn, why is he always right? “Okay fine but carry me.”
He hunched down in front of the sofa “Get on my back and we can go.”
You grabbed your phone getting onto his back and holding on tight, your arms around his neck and your thighs squishing his sides. “Go go go!” You giggled, feeling safe as you rested your chin on the top of his head.
He ran to the trailer, causing you to laugh and hold on even tighter. Dropping you onto the bed, he looked around the small trailer-bedroom for more covers.
“You know girl,” he said looking into the closet “You kinda cute. How you was laughing out there had my heart beating fast and shit.” He found a throw and turned back around to ask you if it was good, but you were already out, completely sound asleep, and cuddled into a pillow. “Damn so you ain't hear none o’ that huh?” He sighed. “Probably better on my end. Can’t be catching feelings and shit.” He covered you over and lay beside you.
In your sleep your body detected the body heat, so you unknowingly turned over, cuddling into his chest. A smile formed on your lips as you moved closer, practically wrapping yourself around him.
The man sighed placing his lips to your forehead and leaving a light kiss. “Yeah. No catching feelings.”

Hannibal - Ep1 - Reaction
Tumblr media
Okay, so this is starting because of @quartermastercandlestickmaker and @todorokisrose [yes, y’all both gettin’ tagged in the annoouncement and this one. I need to be clear on who is causing my suffering.]
I’m here in this hole now. This dark pit.
This is not a live-blogging of my watch, but I am writing this live. So, writing live posting later. If that makes sense. I’ll have one post per episode and after I’ll compile them all into a master list.
Spoilers ahead.
What a grand opening my dudes. Thrilling music. He’s got that “he fucked up” face going on. WAIT NO HE’S SHERLOCKING THE SHIT. OH COOL. NO WONDER I SAW SOOME FANART OF THEM BEING BFFS. Oh, I like this. Weird effects flex but I dig it.Ooooooooooo I was not expecting that voice. IS THIS WHERE THE “THIS IS MY DESIGN” SHIT CAME FROM WHAT THE FUCK Have I known this more than I thought.
Also low-key bitch *looks* like a psychopath no wonder what is gonna happen happens. Oh rip Mrs. Marlow ;;~;; that was a hard change bro.

It’s difficult for me to be social too, fam. LAURANCE WHY DID YOU FIX HIS GLASSES THAT WAS SO WE IR D???? Also bro same I love you, Will Graham, you funky little sociopath.
“Every girl is a candy bar” mhm okay thanks for that. Will and this sociable thing is really fucking me bro minus the serial killer obsession/profession/vibe.
Laurence Fishbourne is an amazing actor but I’m also digging the dude playing Will (srry names are my weakness so his name is Will.)
Oooooo booi. I recognize Katz from fanart she’s a popular one right. But we’re going upstairs.
I’m so worried about opening the door
Oh

Holy shit
I like the whole thing with eye contact. I’ve seen the gif where it’s mentioned but I like how it’s subtle and not overly emphasized so far. Oh we’re flashing back again. Poor Elise. It’s a super interesting story technique using him as the killer. Also damn bitch “you unstable” you’re such a nosy bitch how were you interrupted when you were asked not to enter
Now everyone is here

“USE THE LADIES ROOM” dafsjhg
Stop yelling at him ;;~;;
Woah  this is a lot to unpack in this scene you can see Will like slipping omg. It’ss almost unsettling him not having eye contact but like I know the reason for it and therefore it’s just impressive acting and not like unsettling of the actor to do that if that makes sense? I really am impressed by that level of commitment to not have a “look at the camera” to keep showing how he won’t look at other people.
Ooo this is one of the lady psych talkers which is like on the Graham side while the blonde one is for Hannibal, right even tho Hannibal is a brain doc. ALANA that’s her name and that might be how you spell it. She doesn’t want him out there but Laurence needs  her to be his back  up. (Oh, his name is Jack.) Could i get a sick monoma who has a crush on reader who is in class 1A, and when he doesnt show up for class, she finds out hes sick and skips her classes to take care of him?
My boy Monoma! I love him! Thanks for the ask! Also sorry if its bad, its my first time writing for him! (Also the format is weird, gotta find out how to fix that.) -Bea
Tumblr media
Monoma is... well he’s an ass to be frank, and to most of 1A, and 1B for that matter, it is incredibly difficult to understand why he has this hatred for your class. It’s confusing to say the least. Weather it be his smartass comments or his constant competition with your class, it’s easy to say that class 1A dislikes Monoma. Well, everyone but you. Somehow, you of all people were able to weesle your way into his heart. He was disgusted with himself that he let himself fall for a member of 1A, especially you. You were just so... annoying. You were the definition of a mom friend... but like, a cool, funny, hot, mom friend. You were constantly fluttering around people, making sure they were taken care of. Perhaps he only liked you because he felt recognized by his competition when you talked to him, or the fact that you didnt care that his attitude was less than amazing. Or maybe it was the fact that when you smiled at him, the world felt like it disappeared around him. But unfortunately, a smile wouldn’t cure him. He had the flu, and it was caught far too late for Recovery Girl to heal. It was bad, really bad. His body hurt with the rise and fall of his chest, his throat burned every time breathed, and he had a dry, painful cough. And the hot flashes. Dont even get him started on the hot flashes. It felt like he
You, on the other hand, were in between classes, waiting outside the classroom door so you could walk to your next classes together. It was as routine as breathing at this point, with a set of unspoken rules that came with the tradition
1. Who ever gets out of class first has to wait for the other person
2. If the class is getting out so late that you will be late to your next class if you wait, just go ahead.
3. You always go to the closest classroom first.
It was as simple as that, so when his class was dismissed and students began to file out, you were surprised to see him missing. You stopped Kendo before she got away. “Hey! Where’s Monoma? He normally doesn’t go this long without yelling at us.” You joked lightly.
Kendo’s eyes widened, “Wait... he didn’t tell you?” You shook your head and Kendo, broke eye contact with you, “Oh... he’s sick so you probably don’t wanna hEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!” You didn’t hear her, as you were way to busy running to the dorms, specially 1B’s dorms. Kendo already knew where you were going, and she also knows that Monoma will kill her when he gets better. Unfortunately for Kendo, Monoma specially asked the class to not tell anyone that he was sick, especially class 1A. Something about “Not wanting the enemies to know he can get sick,” or whatever. Not like it matters.
You had just arrived at the dorms. For whatever reason, Monoma gave his spare key to you, which was strange because you weren’t even in his class. It’s not like you were complaining, you loved that he trusted you enough to give you the spare key to his room. As you shut the door to the common room, you walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge, happy to find it stocked with ingredients. What were you making? Soup, a traditional sick day meal. You chucked the broth and vegetables in a pot, turned on the stove, and quietly placed the lid on top. It wouldn’t take long, but in the meantime, you decide to go see Monoma. You grabbed a bowl of ice and a cup of water, and hopped in the elevator. Standing in the empty elevator, you took the time to think. As annoying as Monoma was, the boy had carved a hole for himself in your heart. Under the mask of extravagance and disdain, he’s honestly a sweetheart. He doesn’t always show it, but he did care. It was normally shown with small actions, wether it be him packing a bento for you when he had extra food, or texting you good night and telling you how great you are when you had a bad day, he was a kind soul. That’s probably why you have a crush on him. Sure, his blonde hair and beautiful lilac eyes were a bonus, but it was mostly his attitude that made you fall for him. He was loud, angry, and passive aggressive, emphasis on the aggressive. You also admired his drive and determination. Even with a quirk that could be considered less than hero worthy, he worked his angry little ass off to make it into the hero program, and he succeeded. But he didn’t give up there, he’s continued to work hard to be the best he can be. It was incredible and very inspirational. The door opened, and you made your way to Monoma’s room. You took a deep breath and knocked on the door, hearing a grunt and a confused, “come in?” You opened the door and sighed at the scene in front of you. Monoma was in his bed, one leg out of his blanket, his other leg under, tissues surrounding his body. He had his fan on, filling the room with noise. His face was pale and gleaming with sweat, his hair stuckto his forehead. He looked up to you with wide eyes as you shut the door behind you quietly, walking over to him. You placed the ice and the glass of water on his night stand, then sat down on his bed. You just kinda... looked at each other for a few seconds, and then he tried to sit up. He groaned, his head pounding from sitting up to quickly.
You pushed him back down gently, when he finally speaks. “Why are you here?” He questions.
“Because you’re sick.” You say, grabbing the cup of water from the nightstand.
He furrows his eyebrows at you. “Yeah, so?” He states.
“So I’m taking care of you,” you hold the cup out to him, “Drink some water.”
He pushes the glass away, craning his neck in an attempt to look at the clock on his desk. “No, what time is it?” He looks back to you.
Checking the clock, you look back to him, “10:45, why?”
He sighs and rubs his face, grabbing a tissue to blot his face with, then throwing the tissue somewhere behind you. “You should be in class.” He grumbles.
“Yeah, well I’m not, I’m here taking care of you,” You shove the glass of water back in his face, beginning to become aggravated with him, “now shut up and drink the fucking water.”
He turns his head away from you and pouts, then mumbles, “Fuck you, no.”
You lean towards him, close enough to where he can feel your breath tickling his face. “Drink. The. Fucking. Water. Now.” You growl.
He turns back to you and crosses his arms over the blanket, then reaches out and grabs the cup. “...Fine...” He mumbles into the cup, taking a sip of the cold liquid. Honestly, it’s really soothing, like a dry sponge absorbing water for the first time, but he would never admit that to you.
He shoves the water back to you,“Good, now then, have you taken any medicine?” He stays silent and turns away from you, becoming fairly interested in the pile of tissues on the floor.
As you place the cup back on the night stand, you grumble, “Monoma...”
He doesn’t look back up to you, he just mumbles, “..no..”
You sigh and chuckle, “Christ. No wonder you’re sick. I’ll go downstairs and grab some. I’ll be right back.” You pat his head and he whines.
The one thing you didn’t think to ask was where the medicine cabinet was, so instead of just finding the medicine, you were forced to shuffle through the many different cabinets, until finally you found the holy medicine cabinet. You sifted through it until finally you found what you were searching for. You disided that since your down here, you may as well grab a bowl of soup for him. You take the bowl and the medicine back to Monoma.
“Ok, I got medicine and soup.” You say as you open the door. Monoma’s eyes drift from you to the soup
He crossed his arms and shivered, “Where the fuck did the soup come from.” He says, then coughs.
You put it next to the water on the nightstand, then open the medicine. “I made it, now take the medicine, then soup.” You put it in his hands.
He brings it to his nose and smells it, then grimaces and holds it as far away from him as he possibly can. “Ew gross what is this?”
You grab it from his hand and instead try a different method, “Medicine, now open up.” You say gently.
He turns his head away, “No.”
You grumble and press the spoon against his lips. “Monoma... open up.”
He shakes his head at you and turns his nose up, “Nope.”
You sigh, and realize you need to take desperate measures. You place your hand on his chest, or, the blanket over his chest, and lean towards him, putting on the saddest look you possibly can, and then whisper, “Neito... please just take the medicine... if not for yourself then at least for me?” He stares at you with wide eyes as you press the spoon full of the offending liquid to his face.
He finally opens up and lets you put the spoon in his mouth. As soon as he swallows, he grabs the water and chugs the entire things, sputtering, “Ugh, that shit is disgusting. Wasn’t there a better flavor or something?” You grab a tissue and wipe his mouth.
You pet his head lightly and smile at him. “Nope, but thank you for taking the medicine, you did a great job.”
His face brightens a little, and he turns his head away.“Tch, whatever, just give me the damn soup.” He makes grabby hands at you.
You chuckle and grab the soup, “Ok ok, fine. Here.” You pick up a spoonful of soup and hold his chin.
His face turns red, he’s probably having a hot flash, “I can feed myself.” He mumbles, but you still press the spoon against his mouth.
You grin at him and snicker, “Yeah, that’s true, but I wanna feed you, so here.”
He rolls his eyes and opens his mouth, and you feed him. Once he swallows, his eyes widen. “...did you actually make this?”
“Yeah, why? Is it the best soup you’ve ever had?” You teased lightly, giving him another spoonful
He rubbed the back of his neck“Uh, yeah.” He said sincerely... until that smirk of doom graced his face, “I didn’t know that you 1A losers can cook, but you know, I bet that 1B can-“ You put a finger to his lips and his eyes shot open and he tensed up, looking from the hand on his mouth, then back to you.
“Shh shh shh, less competing, more eating.” You giggle as he relaxes again.
You continued to feed him and talk to him for around an hour, until he looked like he was about to fall asleep. You decided it was probably time to leave him alone and head back to your dorm so he could relax and heal. As you got up from the bed, you sighed and looked at him, “Well, anyway, you have my number, so get some rest and call if you need something. Ok?” With no response for a second, you assumed he was asleep and made your way to the door.
“Wait...” You paused in your tracks, turning your head to him, “C-can you stay?” He stuttered as he gave you a sad look.
“Monoma,” you sighed “I’ll get sick.”
A look of confidence crossed his face and he grinned. “If you do, I’ll take care of you.” There was the unmistakable gleam of challenge in his eyes. He didn’t care if he was sick, he would chase after you and bring you back to bed if you took so much of a step out that door, and you knew that.
You shook your head and chuckled, pretending, and failing, to be annoyed, “Ugh, fine. Scoot over.” He did as he was told and made room for you behind him, then patted the bed. You climbed in next to him and he threw the blanket over you, then grabbed your arms and wrapped them around his torso. His shirt was hot, and it was wet with sweat, it was also... smooth?
“Monoma?” You questioned,“Are... you not wearing a shirt?”
He grinned and played dumb with you, “No? It’s hot??? Why the hell would I have a shirt?” He knew exactly what he was doing, and you knew too, so you just sucked it up and put your head on the pillow.
“...whatever,” you sighed, “just go to bed.” You closed your eyes and listened to his breathing in peaceful silence.
Until that silence was broken. “Is there still soup?” Monoma asked.
You groaned and mumbled a reply into his neck, “Yes. You can have some later, go to bed.”
“Ok.” He said happily. There was silence again for another five minutes, until Monoma decided to talk again, “Y/n?”
“What.” You snapped.
He was quiet for a moment, then spoke again, sounded much more drowsy than before.“...Thank you... I love you...” He didn’t say anything else so you assumed he fell asleep.
You took a moment to realize what he said. He loved you... he said he loved you. You barried your head into the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent, grinning like a maniac. You replied in a whisper, “...Love you too... sleep well Neito...”
Both you and Monoma fell asleep with huge smiles on your faces.
Bonus:
“Fuck you, like, actually fuck you.” You mumbled from under your blankets.
“Oh honey, is that an insult, or an invitation?” Monoma teased.
You thought about it for a moment, and decided it was definitely an insult, but you didn’t reply. He just snickered and grabbed something off your nightstand. “I told you I would take care of you if you got sick,” he grinned manically, “now.. open up and take your medicine.”

_________
I watch her long, tanned legs as she heads towards me. Y/N is wearing a white dress today with various colorful flowers; it reaches almost to her knees. She has ordinary white converss on his feet, which are already slightly damaged and dirty. Her hair is once again associated in a ponytail, which is decorated with a sweet, small bow. At the waist, a black apron with a logo of the apartment is tied.
I'm asking myself; How does this girl withstand this weather in this outfit? How aren’t her legs freezing when the north wind blows outside the window, which is like a breath of arctic cold, and every other day it is raining?
I look out the window for a moment. I see many people outside, half of whom are already wearing large, down jackets, prepared for the winter and frosts. What's wrong with this girl?
I bite my lip and tap my fingers on the table top. It's so annoying to have someone absorbing your thoughts. It distracts you from everything, because it is so unattainable, and at the same time literally, at your fingertips.
    - Good morning. - I hear her velvety, sweet like candy, voice, so I look at her. In addition to small freckles, today her face is also decorated with a wide, snow-white smile, which sends in my direction when our eyes meet. My gaze goes down to the notebook, which she holds in her hands; I stop my eyes for a moment, focusing it on her long nails. Each of them is painted in a different color, which seems to me quite an interesting solution.
I do not know how long I watch them, but when I hear the girl grunt, I go back to the living and raise my head, looking her in the eye now.
    - Welcome to "Lucky Strike" - she says again - Can I accept your order now? - she asks, and I am correcting myself in my chair.
I grab a card of dishes in my hands, although I know well that I am going to order what is usual. I am reading letters on paper again, and then I say:
    - Classic Italian espresso. - I smile at her, what she reciprocates, and then sketch something on the notebook sheet.
    - Anything else? - she asks without looking up, and I shake my head denying. - I'll give it in a second. - she says.
Y/N turns around, hiding a small notebook into the only pocket of her uniform, and then goes away. I suspend my eyes on her perfect hips, but it only lasts a moment.
I watch her enter the counter. She pushes under the cup shelf one of the crates that lie on the floor and then climbs onto it. She is too small to even now calmly reach for the desired dish. A pretty, charming sight, standing on tiptoe like a ballerina and trying to take off one of the cups. When she succeeds in a moment, involuntarily a creepy smile sneaks into my face, because I can see that it is the one with blue flowers.
I wonder why she is still giving me coffee in it. I mean, in this specific cup. Literally all the other espresso cups are completely white, and the one that stands out is the one that goes to me every next time.
Did she bring her it here? It is quite distinct, because it is the only one that is different. Maybe it's a kind of message? Is Y/N trying to tell me something? Oh, what am I saying. What would she want to show through a stupid vessel? That she likes blue flowers? Absurd.
I shake my head, fleeing my thoughts back to the brunette. I watch her turning on the coffee machine, doing two neat turns. It looks like she really loved this job because you can always see a smile on her face. She comes here every day joyful. She does pirouettes from time to time, for no reason, and laughs at herself, like a small child. It is such a delightful sight that you would like to come here just to see it. It is the best attraction that I have seen in my life.
I do not even know when, and I start to grin with myself and I have to look a bit strange, but I'm not really caring about it at the moment. I have such a sweet view in front of my eyes, I cant help how my body reacts.
I feel my heart beat faster when the brunette finishes making coffee and walks with the t towards me. She looks like a kind who intends to show off her drawings.
She leans over the table at which I sit. She puts a cup in front of me, saying kindly to "enjoy your coffee”. Then I pay attention again to her hands, and more precisely to the fingers that run gracefully through pure porcelain, when, after a really short moment, they disappear from my vision, I raise my head.
Unchecked, I get up on my feet, almost pouring freshly ordered coffee. I make a bit of noise, so the couple from the neighboring table looks at me, but after a few second they return around.
- Can I still order something else? - I ask, one hand raising slightly upwards, as if I was a student in a school bench. Penny turns to me, then with a smile, returns to me and stands at the table, leaning on it.
    - Of course. How can I help you? - after asking questions, she reaches for a notebook and a pen, waiting for my next order. I begin to feel a slight anxiety and stress and suddenly, immensely strong, I am tempted to drink.
    - Could I get your number? - I say before I even manage to mentally prepare for possible rejection. My eyes widen because I'm shocked that I've gotten the courage to ask her about it.
There is a somewhat awkward silence between us that echoes in my ears. Believe me, even when you hear no sound, this kind of silence can be deadly loud.
   - My number? - Asks brunette, frowning, and I feel my face paler. I want to break the window next to us and run outside; run and run ahead, so no one would know where I am.
I'm starting to rebuke myself for my stupidity. Why did not I think she could have a boyfriend? She is so beautiful, kind and young, who would not like it for their self? Who would not want it to be their property? She may even be engaged or, worse, she has already got married; she has a child or even a bunch of them.
My hands are prone to itch because I really want to smash something. I'm mad at myself. Why didnt I thought about that I may be not her type? She probably already noticed that I come here five times a week, at the same time, and order the same coffee; and when I do, I start to observe her. I don’t exclude the possibility that at this stage she considers me a murderer or a pervert. If I was her - would have thought about myself that way. What normal guy, approaching up to fourty, looks at the same woman, in addition younger, for a year, grinning like an idiot, while drinking coffee?
   - I think it would be better if you were to give me yours. - I hear Y/N’s voice, which pulls me out of the momentary state of reflection. I am slightly confused and try to understand her way of thinking. I raise one eyebrow, remaining quiet.
Does she not want to hurt me by giving me the wrong number, but she still has no heart to reject me?
   - I do not have a phone, I'll call you from the booth. - she explains, probably seeing my embarrassment.
   - Oh - I say - Yes, sure. Give me a piece of paper, I'll write it down for you - Im trying to sound natural, although I have a panic attack inside.
The girl pulls a piece of paper from her notebook and hands it to me with the pen. I enter my phone number on the card, trying to preserve the cute character of the letter. When I finish, i give it to the brunette, she puts it in her pocket, after folding it in half.
    - What happened to your cell phone? - I ask, hoping that I do not violate her privacy or I do not enter delicate topics. Who knows if her phone has not been stolen recently, along with other valuable things? Or maybe she has no money to buy it?
    - I just dont have it. - she answers briefly, seems slightly embarrassed. She has her head down and the pen in her fingers. Oh, if you could see her now; how sweet she is. I bet I assigned her this epithet at least fifty times today. However, it fits perfectly with her, she could be a definition of this word.
At this point, it does not even seem strange to me that she does not have a cell phone. Well, I admit that in the twenty-first century, it's harder to find someone without a phone than with it. Especially when it's a person, more or less, my age, and Y/N seems even younger.
Then I start to wonder how old she actually is? She looks like she is twenty-one, plus I've seen her drinking alcohol more than once, so she can’t be younger, right? I would not call her older than me, I'm sure. Therefore, I estimate that she may be about twenty-two years old. However, her low height and the clothes she used to wear make me puzzled, because if I look only at it, I would call her a teenager, maybe even a preschooler.
    - I'll call you before I start work. I hope you are not asleep before eight. - she says with a smile that I reciprocate.
    - No, I'm not sleeping. Relax, you have nothing to worry about. - I'm lying, because I usually get up at ten o'clock, but I would pick up my phone even if she was going to call in the middle of the night.
    - That's good. - she smiles, hiding the card with my number in the pocket of her uniform. - I need to get back to work - she says, in a sweet voice, then moves away from the coffers in a lively step.
- I’m Rami, by the way - I'm screaming after her before she can get far away from where she would not hear me anymore. She only turns her head, and from her mouth movement I can read - "I know."
It does not take much to wonder how she knows my name. In fact, I immediately reject the idea of divorcing myself.
I sit back in my seat and let it out of my lungs. I'm still watching Y/N, until she finally disappears from the field of my vision as she enters through the dark door to the back.
I want to jump around the whole café; just shout and run around the tables, ignoring the others. I cover my mouth with a hand when a stupid, pride smile sneaks into it. With the fingers of the other hand I hit the table top, because my body is not able to behave calmly now.
Joy, excitement permeate all of me and I have the impression that any moment i will explode from the excess of intensity of these emotions.
I punish myself in my thoughts for procrastination with Y/N’s approach. She is so nice. Who knows, maybe if I started talking to her faster, we would be in a relationship that would bring us closer till we’d become a boyfriend and girlfriend; or at least friends with benefits.

what an abortion is really like
because i would have loved to know what was gonna happen when i needed mine!
for reference: i had a surgical (in clinic/aspiration) abortion, i was around 13 weeks, and i didn’t go to planned parenthood, i went to a local womens health center in boulder.
i called the clinic on a thursday, they said they only schedule abortions on fridays and since i wasnt sure how far along i was they’d recommend i get there the next day if at all possible. i scheduled the appointment for that friday, asked how much it would cost and was met with a set price of $600. i asked if there was any way to set up a pyment plan, and they said yep! they also transferred me to their financial aid advisor and my total cost ended up being $500, of which i paid $300 upfront and am payingthe rest $50 weekly.
i got there and checked in, everyone was very welcoming and kind. they had me fill out some paperwork, mostly just typical medical care stuff like insurance, emergency contact, etc. there was a paper with specific abortion related questions like are you comfortable with your decision and who has been your biggest supporter through this, stuff like that. everyone also made sure to ask what my preferred pronouns were, which was really nice because i’m very feminine presenting and i sometimes prefer they/them as opposed to she/her. i went to use the restroom and there was a sign that said that they need a urine sample, so if i havent given that i should wait for the doctors.
i waited for about 10 minutes and then the nurse came out to get me. i went in, they took a urine sample and my vitals and then said that i was good to go ahead and strip from the waist down and the doctor will be in shortly. i asked if i could keep my socks on (i wore my lucky socks lmao). she said yes. anyway, i undressed and the doctor came in, asked how i was feeling and what type of abortion i would be having. i said i was nervous and probably surgical because i think im too far along for a medication. she did a quick pelvic exam and an ultrasound (but not on my belly, it was an ultrasound that went up my vagina.) she confirmed that i was too far along for a medication abortion and that i’d need a surgical one, and that my next step was to go up to counseling.
i went up to counseling and the woman i was with was super nice. i was expecting a “this is why abortion is bad” shpiel because i know that a lot of states have laws that require counselors to tell you things like that. luckily, i didn’t get that (yay colorado!). i got a very supportive woman who answered all my questions and walked me through what was going to happen through the procedure, and just a general place to talk and vent what i’d been feeling. it lasted about an hour, and at this point i started getting kinda hungry and i asked if i was allowed to eat (because some surgeries you cant eat before.) she said that i am but i should be aware that im probably gonna feel a bit nauseous during/after the procedure.
the first step in this whole thing is taking a pill to dilate and soften my cervix, and that takes about 2 hours to fully work, so i took that first. i also was given some anti nausea meds, advil and anti anxiety medicine. my doctors were very kind and asked me what i wanted and felt like i needed, explained to me that i could take two anti anxiety meds or just one, and explained that i had the option to take a narcotic painkiller as well. at first i decided to just take advil and one anti anxiety, but about an hour later i was feeling very anxious and a little in pain, so i took the second anti anxiety and a narcotic (i was skeptical about the narcotic but i talked with the doctors quite a lot about side effects and addiction, before ultimately deciding to take it.) i couldn’t have taken the narcotic if i were to be driving myself home. last but not least, they did a finger poke to check if i was rh negative or positive, because if i was negative i would’ve needed another pill.
after that super mega pill cocktail, i got called back to a room much like the first one with the ultrasound. i undressed and tried to mentally prepare myself. there were three people in the room besides me: my doctor, her assistant, and a trained support person. doctor and assistant were down by my vagina, while the support person was holding my hand and talking me through it. i felt the doctor put a numbing shot in my cervix and then i just felt a lot of pressure and cramps. i had my hand resting on my belly and i could feel my uterus cramping. i started crying, it wasn’t painful exactly, just weird and overwhelming. i squeezed my suppirt persons hand and apologized for crying, all while she was just talking to me and saying its okay and all that stuff. it was over in about 10 minutes. the doctor and assistant left right after that, but my support person stayed. i know it was so that if i fainted or something, i wouldnt be alone, but it was honestly really comforting having her there with me. i lay down for about 5 more minutes before i felt okay to sit up and put on my pants. me and the support person chatted for a bit. i dont really remember what we talked about.
after i put on my pants my support person led me to a room with recliners and crackers and water and books. there were two other women in there, who met me with a heating pad and a heated blanket. i rested there for about half an hour, drinking water and eating saltines, and reading this book full of other people’s experiences with abortion. i felt so cared for and seen, it was amazing. they had me give one last urine sample and then led me around the back (handicap exit, so no stairs) where my boyfriend was waiting in his car. i think they told him to go wait out there once i was in the recovery room, because that way when i was ready to leave i could.
i got in the car and drove home with my love. we stopped at walgreens to get some pads, because the doctors said i couldnt put anything in my vagina for at least a week, but that i was going to be bleeding a bit. since i use a menstrual cup, i didnt have normal pads at home. i cried a little bit in walgreens, thats around when the pain meds wore off. when i got home i took another advil and laid down with a heating pad and netflix, and eventually i fell asleep.
its about a week after my abortion now, my cramps have gone away entirely. they were bad for the first few days though. im almost done bleeding. i’m no longer experiencing nausea or fatigue or sore boobs. my hormones have been a little crazy, i keep going from very calm and chill to just downright cranky. i can call the clinic back any time for support, and to schedule a follow up appointment if i feel i need one. all in all, it was a very peaceful experience. not once did i feel judged or ashamed at my choice. everyone at the clinic was ridiculously kind and caring. im very grateful i had the experience i had.
feel free to reblog or message me with any questions!

The Good Life: Chapter 5
The bell to the lift chimed as the metal doors slowly slid open, signaling that they had reached their desired floor, and Finn stepped aside to allow Rae to walk out first.
“I still can’t believe that we’re on the fifth floor of the building!” Rae mused as she looked over the railing outside of the lift that overlooked one of the busy city streets.
“It’s a good thing neither of us are scared of heights, huh?” Finn joked as he adjusted his grip on the large box he was carrying in his arms.
Finn and Rae turned left after exiting the hallway with the lift, already becoming familiar with navigating the building after following the same path numerous times.
When Finn stopped in front of one of the doors, he turned to look at Rae, who was lagging behind slightly as she walked leisurely to take in the view from the top floor of the building.
“Do you have the keys, Finn, or do I?”
“I do, but I can’t get to them with this box,” Finn replied.
“Do ya want me to take the box from you?”
“No, it’s pretty heavy,” Finn replied with a slight grunt as he adjusted his grip on the box to prove his point, “but can you get the keys out of my pocket?”
“Er, sure...which pocket?”
“Back left pocket of my jeans,” Finn said as he angled his body towards her so she could easily reach his pocket.
“Alright,” Rae replied as she hesitantly reached her hand into the pocket of Finn’s jeans to grab the set of keys.
“Uh, sorry,” Finn replied sheepishly when Rae pulled the keys out of his pocket and it elicited an unexpected giggle from him, “that tickled more than I expected.”
Rae laughed and shook her head, but stepped in front of Finn to unlock the door and allow him to walk inside first.
Once inside the door, Finn walked into the large open space that would eventually resemble a living room and placed the box he was carrying beside the other tall stacks of boxes.
“Was that the last box?” Finn asked over his shoulder as he restacked some of the boxes to reduce some of the clutter.
“Indeed! Who knew that between the two of us, we’d have so much stuff?” Rae asked with a laugh as she looked around the room at dozens of cardboard boxes that had been piled haphazardly around the room.
“I don’t know about you, but I’m very proud of how efficient we were today. We got all your stuff and my stuff packed into the moving truck and got it all brought up to the apartment all in a matter of hours!”
“That’s pretty impressive! We make a good team, huh?” Rae asked as she walked to stand beside Finn and bumped his hip with hers playfully.
“We absolutely do,” Finn replied as he wrapped an arm around Rae’s shoulders and pulled her slightly closer, “I think we deserve to reward our hard work. We should order some takeaway since we have no food here yet and then after we’ve eaten if we feel up to it, we can start unpacking boxes. What do you think about that?”
“I think it’s a great idea. I’ll order and you can go pick it up, if that’s alright with you? What do you want to eat?”
“Of course! I don’t have a preference, I’m just starving and would like a lot of food,” Finn added with a smile as he walked away.
Rae called in their takeaway order while Finn reorganized the boxes against the perimeter of the room to ensure that they had a clear path to walk around without tripping.
“Alright, our order should be ready in less than half an hour. I ordered from the Chinese restaurant just down the street because their online reviews looked really good. I hope that’s alright with you.”
“It’s great, thank you. I’ll leave to go pick it up as soon as I find my keys again,” Finn replied with a nervous chuckle.
“Your keys are on the kitchen counter,” Rae replied with a fond smile at Finn’s forgetfulness, “Do you want me to try to find some plates and utensils in one of these boxes while you’re gone?”
“Yeah, that’d be great!”
Once Finn grabbed his keys, wallet, and phone off of the counter where he had left them, he left to go pick up their takeaway order.
Rae searched through the stacks of boxes trying to find whatever she thought Finn and she would need to eat their takeaway and before long she heard the door unlock and Finn walking through the door.
“Sorry if I took longer than you expected. I, uh, wanted to--what is this?”
Rae beamed with pride at the look of surprise on Finn’s face when he walked into the living room to see a small lamp on top of a short stack of boxes to subtly light the room as well as a pile of pillows and blankets strategically arranged to make the floor more comfortable to sit on, since the couch they had bought online wouldn’t be delivered until next weekend.
“I was looking for the boxes with dishes in them and I got a little carried away,” Rae replied with a shrug as she walked up to take the bags of food from Finn.
“Well it looks great! I thought it seemed appropriate that we mark the occasion today with a drink,” Finn replied as he pulled a pack of beer from one of the bags Rae had placed on the kitchen counter, “so I picked this up too. I know it’s not champagne or anything fancy, but...”
“Don’t worry about it. Champagne is disgusting anyways,” Rae replied with a chuckle as she continued unpacking the bags of takeaway containers onto the counter.
“We can go ahead and serve ourselves food and then I also have my laptop here if you wanted to watch something or listen to music while we eat.”
“I don’t feel like paying close attention to anything, so maybe we can just put on some music?” Rae suggested.
After they had served themselves plates full of various entrees, noodles, and sautéed vegetables, Rae sat down on the pile of pillows and blankets as Finn grabbed his laptop to put on one of his many playlists to listen to in the background.
“It’s crazy to think how quickly everything has moved. I mean, less than a month ago I was panicking about how I was going to find a roommate and a little over a week ago we were barely starting to tour potential apartment!” Rae mused as she ate.
“No kidding! If you’d told me over a month ago that I would have moved out of my Da’s house and be living with you, I wouldn’t ever believe it,”
“Oh wow! Thanks, Finn!” Rae scoffed.
“That’s not what I meant! I just meant that I wasn’t serious about moving out until I found out how badly you needed to find a roommate. Even when I first suggested it, it was just a spur of the moment kind of thing. I couldn’t even fathom why you had agreed to be my roommate, if I’m being honest.”
“Well I’m glad that this whole thing worked out as well as it has so far!”
“Me too, Rae!” Finn replied as he lifted his can of beer into the air in cheers.
The pair continued eating and talking until both were completely stuffed and pleasantly buzzed on cheap beer.
“Wow,” Rae began after a long yawn, “I’m so exhausted!”
“I know what you mean! After lifting all those boxes, I’m sure both our arms are gonna be sore tomorrow.”
Rae leaned over to place both of their now-empty plates on top of one of the nearby boxes. When she sat back, Rae angled her body so she was leaning into Finn’s side.
She looked over at him, silently asking if that was okay, and while he looked a bit surprised, he didn’t hesitate to wrap his arm around her in a loose embrace.
“I don’t want to unpack boxes tonight. I have the day off of work tomorrow as well, so I’ll unpack tomorrow while you’re at work.”
“I can’t let you unpack everything alone! I’ll play hooky from work and stay here to unpack with you,” Finn replied.
“You don’t have to!”
“No, but I want to.”
“Alright,” Rae replied with a small smile as she allowed her eyes to slowly drift shut as they continued talking and listening to music.
When Finn stood from the ground and grabbed the dirty dishes to wash, he looked back to see Rae curled up on the pile of blankets, scrolling through her phone.
“Did you want another beer before I put them in the fridge?” Finn asked from the kitchen after he had finished washing their dishes and setting them aside to dry.
When he did not get a response, Finn walked out into the living room and was surprised to see Rae asleep on the pile of blankets, snoring lightly.
Finn chuckled quietly, walking back into the kitchen only long enough to turn off the light and returned to the living room.
Finn grabbed Rae’s phone from beside her face where she was laying down and set it on the box closest to her so she could easily find it in the morning.
With all of their larger furniture being delivered over the next week, Finn and Rae had already determined that they would be sleeping on the floor for the foreseeable future, so Finn simply unfolded one of the blankets that Rae was not laying on top of and covered her up with it. Finn considered his options for just a moment before shrugging and laying down on the pile of blankets and pillows in the space beside Rae and allowed the dizzying combination of exertion and excitement to lull him into a state of much needed sleep.
A/N: Yay! Move-in day is over and Finn and Rae are OFFICIALLY roommates! I know this point took a while to build up to, so I made a point to make this chapter extra cute and show how quickly Rae and Finn are getting used to the idea of living together and how adorably domestic these two idiots are even though they’ve only lived together less than a day.
The cuteness has only just begun and even just based on the chapters that I’ve already written or mapped out, there is a lot of fun shenanigans in the upcoming chapters. I know the last couple chapters have been super dialogue-heavy between Rae and Finn (idk how y’all feel about this...I LOVE to read/write dialogue-heavy stuff, but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea), but in the future chapters I’m bringing the gang back and we’ll get to see how the gang feels about the Rae/Finn living situation now that more time has passed.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed reading this chapter and as always: Stay awesome, my friends! :)

plus one // kim doyoung
♥  florist! doyoung x wedding planner! reader
♥  fluff!
♥  2.5k words
Tumblr media
as much as your job required you to run multiple errands and search for whatever the bridezillas were so persistent to having
it was still something you had fun doing especially when you get clients who were unexpectedly easy-going
but even if they werent, you tried your best to look at the brightside
and maybe also confide in the multiple shop owners you had gotten to know through your job
irene, the owner of the boutique that you would always recommend to your clients, is always a sweetheart to you whenever she sees you drop by to check on the dresses
when i meant sweetheart, i meant the kind where she really takes care of you like a motherly figure
“are you sure you’ve gotten enough to eat? wendy stopped by with lunch and she brought some extra. have lunch with me?”
or “did you stain your dress shirt again? change into this one and i’ll take care of that stain,” as she casually whips out detergent and fabric softener from in between the dresses????
but you also have the bakery where you accidentally become the food critic for kun because he cant trust his nephew's friends because they’ll eat anything edible
especially jaemin who may or may not have sneaked behind the counter to make his own concoction of coffee because kun wouldnt’t let them in
but thats because the last time they went into the kitchen, they nearly burnt the building down
anYways, whenever you meet kun its always the usual “try this” “yn what do you think?” “is it a little too sweet?”
and you try your best to give whatever knowledge you have from cakes that your clients have ordered
and kun would have this big smile, thanking you before he rushes off to the kitchen again
aside from the two most loveliest people you’ve ever met on the job, theres was one other person who wasn’t as lovely
or at least not as welcoming
kim dongyoung, the florist you always order from but you just wished he would be a little less,,, sarcastic
it’s not like you hated him for being him
you just cant wrap your mind around the fact that nearly every sentence that comes out from his mouth would be sarcastic
like that one time you couldn’t pronounce peonies and pronounced them as ponies instead and he looked at you with That Look
as if you couldn’t pronounce cat or something
“this isn’t a stable yn. if you wanted to see horses, this isn’t the place you should be going to,”
and sometimes he gets on your nerves when you call out to him and he just ignores you because you’re just dropping by to check on the bouquet order
and he just goes like “did yall hear sumn?”
but one day, when you were absolutely exhausted from tending to a third-level bridezilla aka the second worst kind, and you had your last stop at the flower shop
you went in as per usual and asked if doyoung had already prepared the bouquet you asked him to prepare the day before
and doyoung scoffs, “you think?”
and it wasn’t even half as bad as he usually teased you
but you’re suddenly in tears and it most definitely caught doyoung off-guard
like he’s always seen you remain firm and strong no matter how annoying he gets most of the times
but to see you in shambles like this made him feel like the biggest douchebag on earth
instead of showing you the bouquet, he brings a tissue box from his desk and wipes your tears, repeating his apologies as much as he could
and as your sniffling and hiccuping from your breakdown, doyoung curses in his head
because he’s the biggest idiot, getting his heart shattered just by looking at your distress
“kun came by because he wasn’t on shift today and knew you would be coming later so he dropped off some bagels and coffee if you wanted. he said it was another experiment,”
while your throat still felt like a pit was stuck in it, you nodded your head slowly while doyoung fetched the paperbag and a cup from his desk
the two of you sat in silence while you nibbled on the bag, thinking to yourself to thank kun when you see him
and doyoung just sits on the opposite side, leaning back on his chair with his arms folded
and you feel like he’s burning a hole through your head with his eyes and couldnt help but take a few glances his way
and he’s just staring right at you
as if he was too far into dream land to notice you were looking back at him
the way his face looked a little solemn, which was unusual for you to see him in that state
that was until you remembered the little breakdown from earlier and your eyes shift away from his dark ones
you couldnt handle the silence any longer, fidgeting in your seat as you sipped your drink
“im...sorry for earlier. it was a rough day and-”
“i’m the one who was supposed to apologize, you don’t have to,” he cut you off, sighing as he combed through his hair with his fingers
“yeah but it must’ve been awkward seeing me be a crybaby,”
and doyoung bites his tongue from agreeing with you
“we all have our moments, im just glad you dont see mine,”
you gasp dramatically, placing a hand on your chest, an obvious attempt to lighten the mood
“kim dongyoung cries too,”
“ha ha very funny. I’m not a robot you know,” he rolled his eyes and somehow, seeing you with that growing smile on your face lifted a weight he didnt know had been on his shoulders
“anyways, i need to close up shop now so make sure you got all your things,” he waved his hand, dismissing you as he locked up the back room and packed his belongings
just as you slung your bag over your shoulder, a picture of him and kun as well as their friends were framed and put on his desk
and you weren’t sure how you weren’t able to spot such a striking photo full of a huge group of guys
but when you see doyoung smiling so brightly in the photo, you couldn’t help but smile as well
“if you’re done oggling my friends, you could maybe get out before you get locked in?” he raised a brow, leaving the door open as he waited for you to leave
as he locked the main doors, you couldnt help but imagine that big grin on his face
“why don’t you ever smile as often?” you questioned him out of the blue
“i dont see a need to.” he replied nonchalantly, walking off once the entrance was locked
“whatever floats your boat i guess. by the way...” you trailed off, stopping him in his tracks as he turned back to face you
“thank you, doyoung,” you smiled, waving him goodbye before rushing off to the other direction
for some reason, your cheeks felt like they had been lit on fire and the tightening feeling around your chest felt unfamiliar
and while you were too busy fussing over symptoms that would have been obvious to the public eye, doyoung watched your figure disappear while a smile grew on his face
with a small chuckle he turned the other way and huffed
“maybe smiling isnt that bad,” he mumbled under his breath, taking slower than usual in his walk back home
a week passes and said third-level bridezilla's wedding had finally arrived
and you've never felt more tired than you did in your entire college life
with barely 2 hours of sleep, you rushed around the venue with your clipboard in hand, checking things off your list once they were prepared
after the main hall had been done, it was finally your time to do your job as councellor for the bride but a tap on your shoulder stops you from rushing to the waiting room
"yn? cant believe you forgot something so important," doyoung smirks, pointing to a bouquet of fresh flowers in his other hand
you sigh, thanking him profusely as you took it carefully into your arms
your concealer wasnt doing a good job in hiding your dark circles, and the stray strands of hair that were sticking out from your once styled hair made you look unkempt
"is there anything else you need help with? im free for the rest of the day," doyoung asks without hesitation
remembering the mental breakdown you had that day was a good enough reason to ask you
"i dont- i dont think so but i need to go and see the bride before it starts and then check if the groom's ready and most importantly the rings and the ringbearers are probably with the groom too-"
"I'll check on the groom and the ringbearers, while you go tackle that monster in the waiting room," he chuckle
and you see this wide smile plastered on his face
and for a split second, your heart nearly jumps right out of your chest
but when the thought of the bride comes wrecking through, you thank him once again, running down the hallway with your clipboard close to your chest
while doyoung jogs off to find the groom, his heart racing for one reason only
as your calming the bride down with the second box of tissues, trying your best to maintain the makeup that the makeup artist had painstakingly done for 2 whole hours
doyoung was more than ready, already ensuring the groom’s outift as well as the ringbearer who was the groom’s adorable nephew
all that’s left was to wait for the event to begin
once the bride had calmed down and successfully did not wipe the hours of work on her face, you checked on the bridesmaids before heading off to the venue
just as you walked down the halls, you see doyoung walking ahead of you
as quietly as you could, you sneaked up behhind him, grabbing his shoulders and scaring him
yet doyoung didnt even make a sound
until you pouted and he couldnt resist letting out the most sarcastic yell paired with the most unamused expression
"sheesh, you could've just stopped at not reacting rather than give me the shittiest one you've ever given me," you huffed, brushing your stray strands of hair as the both of you walked side by side
"but it was entertaining seeing you fail, so it wasn't really a failure was it?" he teased
and yet the endearing gesture of his to brush the annoying strand of hair behind your ear is the only thing you can notice
"y-yeah whatever. besides, is everything ready on the groom’s side?” you questioned, avoiding his eyes
“he’s practically ready to say his vows right now. what about the bride? heard she had the sixth mental breakdown today,” he chuckled while you groaned, massaging your temples
“she started crying about her double chin because she’s been stress-eating the past week so the make-up artists had to contour her chin a little more,” your story made doyoung burst out laughing, and although it caught you by surprise, you laughed along, relishing in the rare moment
“let’s get this over and done with,” his smile still shining after his laughing fit
“we?” you raised a brow
“you really think you can handle this bridezilla alone?” he smirked
“let’s do this then,” with a final look and a loud thump of your heart, you and doyoung head over to the venue
everything went on smoother than you had planned - the bride only started crying after her vows, the cute nephew didnt trip over his own two chubby feet and everything was done just as it did during rehearsals
you couldnt control the relieved smile on your lips and doyoung might have not be able to control his eyes from watching you every once in a while, his smile mirroring yours
“now all that’s left is the reception in two hours. see you later then?” you asked doyoung while everyone else scattered out of the venue
“of course you will. before i go, wear something blue,” he flashed you another smile before rushing out of the doors
did he...ask you that for the two of you to match?
you shake your head from the clouds while your heart raced once more
doyoung really has a way of creeping into your heart
as the reception began and you were walking from one end to another to ensure everything was ready, you dont notice doyoung walking in with a navy blue suit, his hair swept back
because if you did, you would have stopped entirely and knocked into one of the waiters
which was something you nearly did if it werent for one of the bride’s sisters
“did i see what i think i saw, yn?” in a second, doyoung was now in front of you and that damn smirk of his on display
“shut up, you didnt see anything. and anyways, why did you ask me to wear blue anyway? i had to ask irene to borrow me one,” you sighed, brushing off imaginary dust off of your outift to distract you from how good-looking doyoung had become
not like he wasnt good-looking in the first place
“to match with me obviously, i can’t come here uninvited so i guess i’m you’re plus one for now,” he shrugged when in reality, its making it hard for him to breathe and difficult for him to not only focus on you
“i completely forgot-”
“yn! thank you for helping my sister with her wedding- oh is this your boyfriend? is he the one in charge of the bouquet?” the sister’s bride grins wide while the two of you exchanged anxious looks
“y-yeah, he’s the one who arranged the bouquet. how is the outfit change going?” you mustered up a sweet smile to cover your raging heart as you linked arms with doyoung, nudging him to play along
“oh everything’s fine, dont worry about it. by the way, if you guys ever plan on tying the knot, dont fret to call me, i will gladly lend a helping hand,” but before she could go on about marriage, she was pulled to the side by her cousin, leaving you and doyoung
“to make this easier, why dont i just be your actual plus one?” doyoung shrugged, sneaking his fingers to intertwine with yours instead, making you freeze on the spot
“what?” you nearly snap your head from turning to look at him
“did i stutter?” he squeezes your hand, a small smile adorning his face
“wait, the feelings are mutual?-” you stutter, still wide-eyed from his sudden confession
“oh god you’re such an idiot, but i guess you’re my idiot now,” he let out a tired chuckle, holding you by the waist and pressing a gentle kiss to your temple
kim dongyoung was actually a lovely florist
he just had no idea how to handle ‘feelings’
a/n: its been so long since i wrote that im having so much trouble making sense of my words but i hope you guys like it!!

Down on the Docks (Part one)
(Written with @maggie-thornecliff
The ship had come in about 6 hours or so ago. Penny had more or less locked herself up in the office area sending out messages and dispatches dealing with the crew and who could get shore  leave and who had to stay put
Maggie let herself in. She was dressed somewhere between plain and elegant, the sort of thing that would fit in in any town in gilneas.. or kul'tiras, for that matter. Her scars were hidden with makeup.. she was beautiful, but somehow still unremarkable. She could have been any pretty face in the crowd to those who didn't know her well. She smiled crookedly. "Isn't that the cap'ns duty, dove?"
Penny looked up it took her a moment to work out that her mate had make up on it had been such a long time since she had seen her with it"y..you look like....your would be ready for market day back home...and yes but shes done so much I thought...I wold do this"
She laughed softly, then nodded. "Kindly of you. But wo's the point've makin' port in strange new lands, if'n you ne'er step off the boat yourself?"
"Have you...been then off the boat?" "Wouldn'a dream've it, dove.""What goods an adventure if'n I can't share it?"
She smiled a bit "I...I don't know I have this work and I.....worry about going out onto the dock" "Oh merciful light, let me save m'love from the chains of 'er desk." She sort of seemed like she was praying, but maybe she was kidding around. She certainly smiled as she looked to penny. "There's street meats." She played like she couldnt be swayed "on...sticks?" She grinned, she knew she had her. "on sticks. And candied tea leaves, and peppermint corn, and mage ice cream.. chowder in bread bowls with biscuit spoons..""and that's just what I could smell and see from the railing.""I think I smelled shrimp, too." She was leaning on the desk a bit "F..fish on a bun or eel do you think they would have that also?" She so had her... "I'd be fair dissapointed in a harbor town that didn'a."She nodded. Something made her pull back a touch"Y..you...back home our real home...how much time....the docks how much time did you spend there?" She thought about it a bit. "Some. Why? Wo's th'ma' 'er, dove?" "How...it looks like....well its bigger but it looks so much like....home" She nodded a bit. "That spook you some?" She nods looking at her. That please i am trying to tell you look but cant get words out  Maggie came up to the desk, resting a hand on penny's shoulder. "Got t'be worth a look t'leas', aye? If only to eat some food that we both grew up no' havin' the coin for.""Hear your boots on the dock, smell the air." She smiled at that, wiping the ink off the side of her hand she stood Maggie held out an arm, offering her elbow with a smile. She took it sort of had this look of resolve on her face. Smoothing back some hairs she let out a breath "r...right......" "You sure everythin' is alright?" She lead her up onto the deck. "No...I don't but....worth a look..." she smiles a bit then presses her lips tight Maggie couldn't puzzle out what the worry was, but she sure looked the part where penny was coming out with her.She nodded a bit, and paused at the edge of the gang plank. "We don't have to, love." "I...I am Gilnean enough...right?" Maggie looked poleaxed by that, almost reeling. "Wo'? Course you are, dove." She nods a little "S....stay close?" "Course. No where I'd rather be, aye?" She nods and clutches at maggie a touch "W...well umm take me f...for shore leave " Maggie took her down the gangplank, smiling for all the world like a woman who'd won something marvelous."eel pie first?" She smiles real and true "Y..yes lets....see if we can find one" Maggie walked with her arm in arm, looking so happy. Wandering down the street, following their noses. She stopped at an alley when she caught a whiff of eel She looked dazed and wistful she kept looking up at maggie like it was a dream"I....I am going to wake up to you cold...aren't I?" "Light, oi hope not." Maggie pulled a rolled up news paper out of her bag, passing it to penny. "But let's be sure and check the date, aye?" She let out a breath and looked what seemed to be tears on her lower eye lids but she blinked them away"A...week....from the day we left" Maggie still reached out, brushing her cheek and the tears from it. She smiled so softly"sounds about right."She nodded, and lead penny down the alley. It smelled a bit shifty, but the pies smell for stronger. They found a little stall built into the back of a apartment. On the ledge, were all sorts of tiny meat pies. "They...smell so right..."  Maggie laughed, and the laugh brought a young lad to the counter. He looked between them, up on his little platform behind the counter. "Not from around 'ere." Penny shook her head "N...no we arnt" Maggie was just smiling, she shook her head as well. The boy looked a little brighter. "Where are you from? Tell me!" He seemed to like foreigners. "A...a ways..." she smiled a touch "h..how much for the pies?"She smelled the pies "e....eel? Lard in...the crust rather then butter? He nodded a bit. "Fifty coppers, miss. Or three for a silver." "W...we'll take 6" He started wrapping up six in that thin oil paper that protected hands from greasy yummy pies and gravy. She places 3 silver down “F...for the pie and a tip" The lad gave her a big grin that was missing a tooth or two. Maggie took up her three pies, then quirked a brow and murmured. "From Gilneas, lad. And other places, since." His eyes lit up, looking to penny as if searching for confirmation. She nodded "Y...yes me as well..." Penny held the pie and smelled it she took a bite "Oh...I haven't had one like this....since before the wall fell" He nodded, a little seriously. "You've friends here, and foes. Don't forget either." He looked up and down the alley, all suspicious, but they were alone. You kind of got the feeling it was something he'd seen someone else say to Gilneans. "A...and you are a friend I take it?" "Papa issa friend. I jes' sell pies, miss." Another thing someone had told him.  She smiles "w...well glad to have found your pies " He nodded. "Come back fer more! always open." He sort of waved them on.Two of maggie's pies were gone, and she had this sheepish grin. You have no idea when that happened. Penny had most of one snapped back she shoved the rest in the mouth "I...it's like the ones my father used to....buy from the little bakery Maggie somehow didn't have a crumb on her, nor a tiny spot of gravy. She grinned. "Aye. It's like.. well. When I was little, I snuck off to the docks. Always more interestin', there. We was only a few blocks away, aye?" "W...what had you wanted to do at the docks?" She shrugged. 'I was a little'n. There was food there, and busy folk, and shiny things on stands. It was all so magical." She laughed"It..it really was" She grinned. "I was a meddlesome, troublesome child. No' the much has changed." She shoved her second pie in her mouth Even just for the being here, Maggie’s accent seemed stronger. Penny shook her head mouth full "I..it hasn't" Maggie wolfed down her next pie, and no sooner had she found a bin on a corner for their greasy, gravy covered papers than she was following her nose again, penny's arm in hers."Wo' do we figure for the next?" She swallows and starts in on the last one Maggie was almost giddy, almost giggling. "I.....I dont know..." she hangs on to Maggies arm watching her carfuly Maggie looked at her quietly, pausing at the mouth of the alley. She arched that eyebrow. "Wo's the matter?" "y...your....giddy" "it's nice. You're nice." That got a laugh a good hardy sort one from the daughter of a man who worked the docks maybe this all was good for the little maid turned Lady. Maggie looked so pleased, so delighted at this little turn. She had such a spring in her step as they went down the street from the alley. She took a deep breath."Is it wrong for me to want to live 'ere?" "No...you could afford a place She tilted her head, frowning. "You wouldn'a want to be there with me?" "On...only of its small and above a shop" She looked so relieved. "I'll star' lookin' la'er today." "C...could be...nice" she smiled watching people go by "S...seems very few of the women wear gowns here" She thought about it, casting around a bit. "All seem like workin' folk. Look." She nodded to a trio of women with swords and a sailor's walk."It is the docks, dove. You expect folk in their finery here?" "No....just...guess I forgot...and I've been out of touch ""I...I should get some pants and a coat....if I want to fit in" Maggie tilted her head at that. "Have I e'er seen you in pants?" "J..just as a worg on a hunt”
She laughed. "You'd look right sharp in trousers.""A little collar to your shirt, open a touch.""Old leather belt, sword on it." She flushed a bit at all of that "i...if you were my maid still I would ask you to send out for that" She grinned at that. "I still could, you know. Oi'm magical, that way " "Y...you order things already didnt you?" She gave her a grin She laughed at that. "No. I didn'a leave the ship." "I...I never know with you....and go ahead but get your self a pair...you...your legs are....well strong they would look....nice in the style here" She thought about it, musing quietly. "See, and you'd just gotten me back into my dresses, too." "I....i like you in them too! Like umm today you....I haven't seen you dressed like this in a while its umm....makes me feel umm..." she flushes and smiles"T...tea you think we can get a cup....some place?" She clearly has no idea how to express her feelings and has defaulted to tea talk. It's not maybe the best way to deal but only a little cold air puffed off her and she didn't disappear
Maggie tipped her a little curtsy and getting, before resting her arm gently in penny's elbow and going off to look for a tea House. Penny took in a deep breath the cold stopped coming off her. She watched the folks coming and going. Yes there was a harbor in Stormwind but it wasn't this. This was better by far. "Maggie..." she watched folks go by on business on a walk going who knows were. "T....this life could....it could be us...."It was rare for her to bring up anything like this. After the wedding had been put on hold and with the dreams and Rose she hardly spoke of a shared future in a meaningful way. Maggie nodded, quiet and thoughtful. "Could be. I'd like to see how deep the gutters run before we go buy something.." She shrugged a bit, shaking it off. "But it's.. fair wonderful." She nods a bit lost for a second this could not be ideal but then smiles Maggie lead her into a tea House, you could both tell from the smell half a block off. "Window?" "P..please Maggie nodded, and got them a table. It was after lunch, quieter, and tea was served promptly and hot, with more steeping in the pot. Maggie smelled it, then smiled as she looked out the window. The sun on her face through the windows.
In that moment Penny knew she was happy really and truly happy.

Fabray Dinner | Dominer
TAGGING: @itsdjjones & @notpeterxparker
PLACE: Fabray & Jones House
WHEN: 8/26 Saturday
NOTES: Dom and Parks go to dinner at the Fabray house and it doesnt end well so they visit Dom’s mom instead.
WARNING: racism and homophobia
Parker smoothed down the dress she had bought at Myrtle beach and looked at her parents house. Part of her was freaking out and shouting at her to tell Dom to go back to the apartment. The other part was telling her that they could do this and they could go over to his mom's house. She swallowed some as she closed her eyes and opened up her door while she held onto the pie she had baked for her parents. She closed it, slipped her phone into her dress pocket after she closed the door behind her and walked around the car. She gave DJ a small smile before she held out her left hand for him. They can get through this dinner. She hoped.
DJ sat in the car in the driveway of the Fabray House. He dealt with his fair share of racism in his life. I mean he lived in Ohio. But with Parkers parent it was different because he wanted them to like him. It was a flaw that Dom had where he always had to please people. He got out of the car with her and placed his hand in hers. "Well...let's get this over with." He said softly. The two walked up to the front door together and he stood there as Parker knocked on the door. He squeezed her hand a little bit nervously.
Parker swallowed hard as she returned the squeeze and caressed the back of his hand with one of her fingers. "If they don't answer, can we go to your moms house and eat this pie? Because I baked your mom's favorite and I baked a second one that I have in the car for her." She whispered to him as she looked up at him and heard the clicking of her mom's heels towards the door. "Though, if she bust out a tea cup and a spoon, we're out of here because we're not going to deal with that bullshit." She pressed her ear against the door and stood on her tip toes to look into the door to see her mom talking to her father. She gripped his hand a bit tighter as she waited for her mother to open the door.
DJ laughed. "Deal." He looked at her and watched her look through the door. He just waited with her as her mother came to the door. He wondered why after all this time now they wanted to have him for dinner. "Don't take any shit from them Dominic" his mom had said to him when he told her Parkers mom invited them over. His mom wasn't fond of her parents either and for good reason.
Parker smiled a bit when she heard his laugh and quickly turned into a plastered one when she saw her mother and father looking at the young couple after they opened up the door. "Hi you two! Don't you guys look like the perfect couple?" Judy said as she looked at her daughter and her boyfriend with a smile. "Don't they Russell?" Russell plastered a fake smile as he hugged Parker after Judy grabbed the pie out of Parker's hand and shook DJ's hand. "They sure do." Parker tried not to roll her eyes when she heard her father's reply and placed her hand back in his. "Its good to see you again, DJ." Judy said as she stepped aside and let the couple in. "Im going to go and put this in the kitchen while Russell can show you his newest trophies." Parker glanced back at her boyfriend and glanced at her mom. "Actually, I was going to show him around if that's okay? Since he didn't get the chance in high school." Judy stopped and looked at them. "Oh, of course. Then you guys can look at the trophies." Parker nodded slightly before she watched as her parents disappear and led him towards the stair case. "How're you holding up?"
DJ perked up when the door opened. He took Russels hand and nodded. "Nice to see you too" he told them. DJ walked inside with her and he listened to the conversation. He looked at Parker and just nodded. He followed her up the stairs and DJ nodded. "So far so good." He said. "Uh...trophies for what?" He asked.
Parker nodded as she let out a breath and glanced over at him before she started walking up the stairs with him. "Probably golf tournaments, tennis tournaments and I think that's pretty much it. Unless he picked up another sport since I moved out. Oh! also with my trophies that I need to get still."
DJ "How boring" he commented. DJ kept following her as she showed him the house. "You sure we should be up here this long? I dont want your parents thinking we are fooling around or something." he sighed.
Parker "Yeah, but thankfully I didn't play tennis or golf." She said. Parker stopped in front of her bedroom and cupped his cheeks gently. "Hey..take a deep breath. We can go back downstairs, get some water and pretend that we're interested in the stories. Make it through dinner and jet over to your mom's, take a shower so that way we don't have to smell like snob, rich people with a horrible taste of sports before it sinks into our skin." She whispered as she rested his forehead and looked at him. "I don't want to make you feel even more uncomfortable and Im sorry if I am, that wasn't my intention at all." Judy glanced at Russell as she made her way to the stair case and stood in front of it. "Dinner's ready you two." She headed back into the dinning room and looked at her husband before he sighed. Parker looked towards the stair case and looked back at him.
DJ looked at her and he laughed. "Okay" He pressed his forehead against hers and he kissed her softly. "You're fine. I just wish they actually liked me you know. They don't even know me" He sighed. DJ looked at the stairs and he nodded towards it. They went back downstairs and DJ walked in. "Smells great in here" he said putting a smile on his face. How could anyone not like DJ? He was polite and respectful. Unlike his high school self. He had changed a lot last time he saw Parker's parents.
Parker smiled and returned soft kiss. "Okay. I know, me too and right. They don't and they're missing out on someone who's a hard worker and a gentleman. Also, who's treating their daughter right." She kissed his lips once more. "Yeah and I didn't know I was hungry until now." She replied with a polite smile and swallowed hard. "Thank you two and please, go ahead and sit down." Judy replied as she sat down and felt Russell push her chair in. Russell sat at the head of the table as he gave the younger couple a decent smile.
DJ sat down at the table next to Parker and he put his napkin on his lap. He sat there in silence. What was he supposed to say to these people? He had no idea. DJ smiled at Parker softly and he fidgeted with the napkin in his lap as the food was brought out to the table.
Parker returned the soft smile as she gotten up to help with the food and placed it in the middle of the table. "Oh! Hi Parker, I didn't know you were here. I was wondering who's pie it was on the counter." Parker smiled when she heard Dana and gave her a hug. "Hi Dana and Im sorry that I didnt go and come and say hi when we got here. I figured you can try it too, its Mrs. Jones favorite pie." She spoke as she helped her with the vegetables and glanced at Dom with a smile and looked back at Dana. "We?" She nodded as she heard her father clearing his throat. "Sweetie, stop making small talk with Dana, she's a very busy lady." Parker turned around and looked at him before she turned back towards Dana. "How about you sit down next to me and I'll dish the rest of the food out, yeah?" Dana smiled as she sat down next to where Parker was sitting. "And food is served." Parker said as she grabbed the water and filled up glasses of water then served them out before she sat down. "So, you brought Mrs. Jones' favorite pie?" Russell asked before she saw her mother placed her hand on his arm. "Yeah, I did because its a great tasting pie that everyone should enjoy." Parker gave her father a grin and took a bite out of her food. "So, DJ, are you still playing football?" Judy asked before she took a sip of her water.
DJ watched Parker go to the kitchen and come back out with someone DJ had never met before but he knew who she was. She was the maid...the server. It was like he stepped into a time warp or something. He adjusted in his seat uncomfortable. It was awkward. He watched her sit down at the table one chair away from him and he gave her a small smile. He was going to introduce himself before Parker came back with food and water. He sat their quietly watching everyone's subtle movements. "Um...no I haven't played since high school. I uh..I'm about to go into the credential program next year after graduation for teaching." he explained and cleared his throat a bit. He took a sip of his water and picked up his foot to start to eat.
Parker "Before I forget, Dana, this is my boyfriend DJ well Dom and babe this is Dana...the server." Parker replied uncomfortably and cleared her throat, knowing this is going to be bad. Parker reached over and gave his knee a soft squeeze. "Oh really? That's amazing, isn't it Russell? That our baby girl found someone who is educated and is going to have a bright future as a teacher." Judy said through her teeth and kicked Russell in the leg. "Oh yeah yeah. So great the guy who used to be a player will be teaching kids. What subject will you be teaching? How to play with girls' hearts to the point where they chose to move in with the player and not stay with their family?" Parker swallowed as she glared at her father. "If their parents wasn't racist and homophobic, then she would've stayed with her family but yet. They kicked her out just because she has a different sexuality than her family members and come to find out that they hate her then best friend and now boyfriend's skin color along with being homophobic." Judy looked at her daughter. "Parker Gwen Fabray, that is enough." Parker looked at her mom. "Oh no, Im getting started."
DJ smiled at her and nodded. "Nice to meet you" He said softly. He looked at Russel and could feel the tension in the air at his comment. He put his fork down and before he could speak he watched Parker get angry and blow up at them. He put his hand on her knee. "Parks..." he shook his head. The room fell silent and he looked at her. He wanted to say something polite or apologize but then DJ realized he was not the one that had to be polite or anything. They didn't deserve it. "You don't even know me. You know high school me and even then you never knew me. You wanted to. And if you invited us to come here just to criticize us then I'm sorry but I'm done." he stood up and looked down at Parker. "I'm sorry babe. I love you more than anything in this world but you dont fucking deserve this." He looked back at Parkers parents. "I wanted to come here to be nice and polite and maybe you could see the kind of man that was there for your daughter, took care of your daughter and absolutely loves your daughter more than you, but if you can't look past the color of my skin then forget it."
Parker swallowed hard she felt his hand on her knee and took a deep breath before she let it out. "Sorry.." She whispered as she took his hand into hers and glanced up at him before she stood up as well as she placed her napkin onto her plate. "Im done too. No you have nothing to apologize for babe and I love you more than anything in this world too. Neither do you." She placed her hand on his arm as she stood by her man and looked to see the look on her mom's face, almost in tears before she glanced over at her father to see his jaw clenched. "And if you don't accept our relationship because of past events and your own hatred. Then that's fine because this man right here has been more family than either of you two have been and Im not worried about not having a family because the Jones will always welcome me with open arms and I have friends who will be there for me along with my two sisters." She let out a shaky breath as she felt tears coming as she looked back at her mom. "And mom, I wished you would've done something years ago by telling dad that you've known about my sexuality and that you told me that you approved of Dom back in high school. That, Dom is a lot better man than Jeremy was just because you saw the way we looked at each other and how happy I am around him." She looked at her mom in the eyes as she felt a tear roll down her cheek. "I needed my mom and you were so scared of what he would do that you just sat there and let him kick me out. Just because you were afraid of a bad feeling, because that's what we do right? Push aside every bad feeling. If you don't talk about it, it doesn't exist. I-" Russel quickly stood up and looked at his middle child. "Don't turn this on us! You are the one who messed up by becoming friends with this boy and became a disappointment to this family!" Parker flinched as he spoke and looked at him as she swallowed. "Why? Because Im not a little girl anymore and I decided to take a chance on him? And I quickly fell over heads in love with every inch of him? Including his skin color and his reputation as a player? Because I knew that he was more than a player, that I knew that I will always love him no matter what? Along with the fact that I knew that I was attracted to boys and girls back then? I needed my parents to accept me for who I love and who I am and love me unconditionally, but I didn't get it from you guys. I got it from the Jones and everyone else." She breathed out as she looked at her father and swallowed the sob that was caught in her throat. "Let's go baby." Parker turned to leave and looked at Dana. "You're going too, you no longer work for my parents okay?" Dana quickly gotten up and took off her apron. "Thank you Parker." She whispered as she left the dining room and grabbed her bags. Parker wiped her eyes as she glanced back at Dom and her parents then started to walk away. Russell looked at his daughter and felt Judy's hand on his arm. "Parker, if you walk through that door, don't come back crying to me once you're broken hearted." Parker stopped walking and looked at her dad. "Good thing that he won't break my heart, huh?"
DJ stopped when Parker started to speak and he realized that this was way beyond him. He watched as Parker and her dad went back and forth. When it was over and the three of them got into DJ's truck he took a deep breath and looked over at her. "hey...baby" he pulled her close and wrapped his arm around her. "Fuck them. You already have a family and you don't need them." He pet her hair back as he held her. "Come on we'll go to my mom house and just...have a real family dinner and calm down okay?" he pulled away and looked down at her. His lips pressed against hers softly. "i'm so proud of you" he said softly. DJ rested back in the drivers seat and he looked behind them at Dana. "You're welcome to come to dinner too" he nodded.
Parker instantly wrapped her arms around him and closed her eye as he pet her hair. She nodded against him, let out a shaky breath and sniffed. "Okay." She looked up at him and returned the soft kiss. "Thank you." She replied softly before she rested her head against his shoulder and turned to look at Dana as well. "I'd like that, thank you." Dana gave them a small warm smile and glad that Parker came back. Parker placed her hand on his chest and stayed like that until they reached his mom's house.
DJ started the car and they left the Fabray house for good. It wasn't that long to his mom's house. They parked in front and he kissed the top of her head. "Come on lets go in." They walked to the door together and being back in the house he grew up in was much nicer. It felt like home every time he came over. "Mama?" he called out. "Oh it turned sour didn't it? I swear to our Lord and Savior that those parents do not deserve my little baby" Mama Jones said as soon as they went into the house. She walked right pass DJ and pulled Parker into her arms as if she was her own child. "You're home now baby" She spoke. DJ nodded towards Dana. "Mom this is Dana, she worked for them." DJ's mom Angela looked up and she raised her eyebrow. "Dana?" She asked. "The Fabray's is where you were working?" DJ frowned and looked at Parker. "Wait...you two know each other. Angela nodded. "Yeah we go to the same church Dom."
Parker could feel herself relaxed when they stepped inside and rubbed her arms after she placed Dana's bags onto the floor. She smiled once she heard his mom's voice and wrapped her arms around her. "It turned sour the moment we stepped in." Parker murmured and relaxed against her as she nodded. "It feels great, honesty. I also brought you your favorite pie too, well two pies." She raised an eyebrow as she pulled away and looked DJ with a shrug as she glanced at Dana who was nodded slightly. "Yeah, that's where I was working until Parker here said Im not working for them anymore. Which Im glad that Im not anymore because that's a whole level of stupid. No offense dear." Parker shook her head with a smile. "None taken, I know who you're talking about." Parker wiped the rest of the tears. "I forgot that I left the pies out in the car, so Im going to go and get them."
DJ handed Parker the keys to his truck to get the pies and her wiped her cheek and kissed her softly before she went out. He smiled at his mom and she bummed his hip playfully, giving him that 'im proud of you' look. He kissed her temple and smiled. "Love you mama" he said softly. "Well, I will make dinner and you guys just relax. Maybe we will watch some Criminal Minds later!" She clapped. Angela was obsessed with Criminal Minds and it was hilarious. She always made DJ and Parker watch it with her when they could. 'no come sit sit sit, you have to see what these crazy white people did this episode' she would say.
Parker thanked him as she grabbed the keys and couldnt but help smile when he wiped her cheeks and returned the soft kiss before she headed back outside. She sniffed as she unlocked the door, grabbed the two pies and the backpack that she packed before they left the apartment. Parker placed the strap onto her shoulder, closed the door and locked it. She headed back inside of the house and closed the door behind her when she heard Criminal minds. "I know for sure I'd be interested in watching some episodes later." She replied as she handed the keys back to Dom and kissed his cheek then murmured a soft 'I love you.' before she headed into the kitchen. She placed the two pies on the counter and looked. "Do you need any help with dinner before I change out of these clothes?" Dana pulled out her phone and texted her daughter to come and get her. "And I would love to stay for dinner Angela, but my daughter's on her way over to come and pick me up. I have an appointment in the morning, but I will talk to you after the service tomorrow."
DJ smiled as Parker came back. "Yeah yeah I'll see you tomorrow Dana." Angela said. She turned to Parker and clapped her hands. "Oh you weren't lying about my favorite pies. You're a sweetie. We are gonna relax tonight and forget all about that stuff okay?" She patted Parkers cheek. "Nope no help. Go relax with your boyfriend, I'll call you when dinners ready. You two can do the dishes after okay?" Dom grabbed Parker's backpack and went to his old bedroom that was turned into a guest bedroom now. He sat down on the bed and looked over at Parker. "You okay?" he asked her.
Parker Dana waved goodbye and left. Parker shook her head with a smile. "Of course not and well, I do have bad influence when it comes to being sweet so." She nodded as she patted her cheek. "Okay." She couldnt help but smile at the word 'boyfriend', like somehow everything was better despite of what went down. "Okay." She thanked him when he grabbed her backpack and followed him to his old bedroom. She shrugged a bit as she pulled out their clothes and looked at him. "Im okay." She replied softly and sat down next to him as she looked at him. "You okay though?"
DJ smiled. "I'm okay" he said looking back at her. "I mean...were we really expecting anything different" he ran his hand across his head. "I remember that day that you left there. You were so upset and my mom knew...she knew how special you were and basically loved you more than me." he chuckled a little. "You've always been part of this family babe. And we don't get to chose our parents but we can chose our family and I'm just happy you're part of mine. You're all that matters" he nodded.
Parker nodded slightly as she kept looking at him and shook her head. "No, but I was hoping that it would be a whole different ball game tonight." She reached up and removed the bobby pins from her hair. "Yeah and how fast you got over there....Its because Im lovable, but she also knew how much I meant to you." She looked at him with a smile and rested her head on his shoulder. "I know, since day one it seems like and Im happy that Im apart of yours, thank you for letting me be apart of yours." She glanced up at him. "You're all that matters too."
DJ sighed. "It never is with them." he watched her closely. "Yeah..mama knew way before I even did" he laughed a little and laid back on the bed after kissing her cheek. "I love you baby" he smiled and pulled her down on the bed with him, holding her in his arms. "Life would not be the same without you." He said softly as he caressed her arm gently.
Parker shook her head. "Nope." She agreed and laughed a little as well. "Don't worry, she knew way before I did too." She smiled a little when he kissed her cheek and smiled when she heard him along with feeling him pulled her down on he bed with him. "I love you too baby." She wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. "Well, life would not be the same without you too." She looked up at him as he caressed her arm and pecked his lips the best she could. "It would be boring and not right at all." She rested her head back on his chest and gotten comfortable before she let out a content sigh. "We still don't have a song."
DJ held her in his arms and he gasped. "We don't do we" He laughed. "It's probably Pony..." he joked and tickled her side playfully. "I'm just a bachelor. I'm looking for a partner. Someone who knows how to ride. Without even falling off. Gotta be compatible. Takes me to my limits. Girl when I break you off. I promise that you won't want to get off" DJ sang to her. He sat up on his knees and made hand motions as he sang.
Parker let out a laugh. "We dont." She replied and started to laugh as she squirmed as he tickled her side. "Probably since we've played that song a lot." She propped her head up with her hand and laughed a little when he made hand motions. "Sing it baby!"

First Kisses | FTL
Alvey loved art, though he would admit that it was mostly when he went to some museums and other hibgs. Broadway and plays had never been his cup of tea, but Hamilton? That was a whole other story, completely different to anything that he had ever seen. Before coming that night, he had only knew that Cleo danced according to what Anna said, but now he knew that she was pretty damn amazing. This wasn't a date or anything, but he knew for a fact that whenever people went to see someone in specific at plays, you had to get them something. So he was now waiting while everyone left, a single rose in his hands as well as some chocolate for Cleo, looking around to try to find her.
Cleo couldn't remember the last time she had been so damn nervous. She'd been doing this show for quite some time now, it was second nature at this point. But tonight? No way. Cleo sang and danced her heart out knowing very well that Alvey was in the audience. She did feel some guilt over the fact that she had developed quite the crush on him, but honestly, she couldn't help it. Besides...there was nothing wrong with getting closer to him, right? Cleo certainly reassured herself of that much. After the show had closed, Cleo ran backstage to change into the clothes she'd arrived in the theater in, a sundress and some flats. The theater slowly but surely cleared out and she'd informed Alvey to stick behind and wait for her and she'd let him come on stage. Along with a few other family and friends that had come to support the rest of the cast. Emerging onto the stage, Cleo spotted Alvey immediately and proceeded o the edge of the stage. She couldn't even hide how big her smile was. "Alvey!" She called out with a grin to gain his attention. She sat on the edge of the stage, using her hand to wave him over.
Alvey lifted his head up as she called out to him, moving to stand and walking over to the stage easily, not even knowing how traditions here worked. Once he was close enough, he showed her the rose and the chocolates, smiling widely. "Hey. That was insane!"
Hopping off of the stage as he walked over to her, Cleo's smile only grew as she saw the Rose and the chocolates. She took them easily as she showed them to her before using her free arm to hook it around his neck to hug him quickly. "Oh my gosh, thank you. You didn't have to get me anything. You coming is enough," Cleo assured him as he pulled back. "Yeah? You enjoyed it?" She asked with hopeful eyes, definitely valuing his opinion.
Alvwy hugged her back tightly, amiling as widely as he could. "Oh, dont even worry. I know this is something people do when a friend acts and stuff." He said, waving it off as he oulled back from her gently before he immediately nodded his head a little. "Of course. It was amazing, seriously. I didnt know much about the play, but now I'm a fan."
Cleo nodded her head gently at his words since it was definitely considered theater etiquette. She smelled the rose before grinning up at him, nodding once more. "Well, I appreciate it very much. And very good choice, the rose matches my dress." She replied with a grin. Her face lit up even more, which was really nothing unusual. Cleo was smiling 99.99% of the time. "That makes me so happy, I'm glad we didn't disappoint." Cleo breathed out sincerely in relief. "I'm just glad you were able to come. Really."
"Hm. I didn't know your favorite flower, so I just went the romantic way." Alvey admitted shamelessly, licking his lips and smiling gently when she smelled the rose. He thought Ckeo was adorable and far too good to be true. He had yet to find something about her that made her not perfect, honestly. He let out a small laugh, shaking his head. "Told you I wouldn't miss it. They were actually happy I took a night off at work, because I never miss a shift."
"They are, as cliche as it is. Never a bad way to go, though. I'm a happy girl," Cleo replied with a nod, grinning widely up at him. Arching a brow at his words, she couldn't help but laugh softly. "Hey, you have great work ethic. Not many people can say that," she pointed out, opening her mouth to speak up before she heard someone call her name. Turning her head, she found one of the other dancers at the side of the stage waiting for her. "We're leaving now, you coming or what?" A blonde asked and Cleo nodded her head. "Give me a sec. I'll catch up," Cleo assured her friend before turning to Alvey. "A bunch of the ensemble are going out for drinks at this new club. I'm not really sure if that's your type of thing but if it is, you're more than welcome to come." Cleo offered, hating how generic it sounded. "I'm not offering to be polite or whatever. Just, um, I think you'd get along with everyone really well." It was a cop out, Cleo just couldn't bring herself to say that she really, /really/ wanted him to come along. Not that he wouldn't get along with everyone, he absolutely would. Besides, from what she understood Alvey could use a few new friends after the whole Anna ordeal.
Alvey grinned, keeping that in mind. He hadn't really planned his night, but he had in mind asking her out somewhere just because he figured it was the least that he could do. So when she offered him to tag along, Alvey nodded immediately and smiled. "Yeah, of course. That sounds good, actually. I have tonight off so I might as well make it count." He said playfully, shoving his hands in his pockets as he stood in front of her.
Cleo tried to hide how excited she was that he'd actually agreed to come along although there was no telling how well she hid it. "Perfect!" She replied eagerly before climbing back onto the stage, managing to do so gracefully. "I just need to grab my stuff from the side of the stage and we can go out the back door, yeah?" She asked rhetorically, motioning for him to come with her as she moved to grab her purse as she said she would. She put it over her shoulder, well aware that the others had left already but they would catch up to them soon enough.
Alvey followed her onto the stage, smiling at her excitement. He would never admit it before, but Anna had never been like that. She was always focused on soemthing else, work, and her own goals and what she wanted her life to be like. Cleo seemed to just live her life and enjoy what she had. Though, technically, she was the most successful person he had ever met. She had what he imagined was her dream job. "Sounds good. I also had no idea you could sing, you know? I thought you just danced." He added as he followed her out.
After grabbing her things, Cleo led Alvey over to the back door. Normally she'd leave through the side door, but right now there were likely fans waiting to have programs signed. Not that Cleo didn't appreciate the support, but she was already following behind and had Alvey with her. She pushed open the door and could very easily hear them singing songs from the show from around the corner. Turning to Alvey as he spoke up, Cleo flashed him a smile. "Yeah. I don't think I'm the best compared to everyone else when it comes to the whole singing thing. I'm not bad, otherwise I wouldn't be in the show, I'm just not as trained as others, you know?"
Alvey followed her to the back, curiously looking around. The last time he had been even close to a theater was in theater class in school so he would admit this was all pretty new and actually amazing. once they were outside, Alvey grinned a little. "I thought you were pretty good though. I liked it."
Cleo grinned widely at Alvey's words since his words definitely meant a lot. Especially since they were coming from his mouth. She began leading him towards the sidewalk, falling into step alongside him. "Thank you very much, I'm really glad to hear it." She replied appreciatively. "I love it, you know? I feel really honored to get to tell such an incredible story nearly every day."
Alvey smiled widely as he looked to the side to her, nodding eagerly. "It is a pretty interesting story. I had never really looked into it but now I get all the hype. People go crazy for you all." He said teasingly, knowing that je wasone of the few that hadn't been interested in it until he realized that it was a good way to hang out with her.
Cleo giggled softly at his words, nodding a little. "That means we're doing something right, then." She replied gently, looking ahead for a moment before looking over at him once again. "Are you from Chicago?" She asked gently. It was simple, but Cleo realized that she didn't even know minor details like that about him.
Alvey nodded easily, grinning. "Yeah, born and raised. And I have barely left Chicago, so it's basically the only place I really know." He explained easily, not really knowing why he had never had many chances to go on vacation. Growing up he just went to the pool and the beach or camping. Not on vacation to other states. "What about you?"
Cleo nodded her head gently as Alvey shared that he was born and raised her in Chicago, finding it interesting. "It's a great city to have grown up in, though, I'm sure." She replied gently before shaking her head a little. "I'm not, actually. Born and raised in Florida. By the beach."
"Yeah, at least I now this city like the back of my hand, honestly." Alvey admitted easily, walking next to her as he fixed his little man bun playfully. "Florida? That's awesome.  "I'vr bren planning a vacation there forever because of Disney."
"I would hope so," Cleo replied playfully, laughing softly as he fixed his man bun, finding him to be nothing short of precious. "Yeah? You should definitely go. Disney really is the happiest place on earth and anyone who says otherwise just isn't right in the head," Cleo replied, sounding sure as ever of herself.
Alvey laughed a little, nodding his head. "Yeah, I agree though. Like just that entire universe seems pretty damn good to begin with, honestly." He admitted shamelessly. He was a fun of Disney's work since they were the most successful company regarding that. "You guys always go out like this?"
"I agree. You know, if you feel that way you should totally try and work for Pixar." Cleo suggested sincerely, knowing very well that he could do it if he put his mind to it. She nodded a little, looking ahead again. "Yeah, actually. We're all pretty close. Do you go out a lot?"
"Yeah, of course. I would love that. I love their short movies like crazy." Alvey admitted eagerly, letting out a small laugh and then raising his eyebrows. "We work until real late most nights so what we usuaally do is get some beers at closing time and we gossip or play poker and stuff like that." Alvey admitted playfully.
"You should definitely look into it then, Alvey. You definitely have the passion for it," she replied gently, flashing him a smile as she did so before she nodded. "Ah. That sounds nice, too. I've found that work is much more enjoyable if you're able to do things like that with your co-workers, you know?" She mused, finally reaching the club and leading him in.
"It's in my mind, but I know I need experience for that and all so I'm just taking it easy." He didn't think that Cleo had even seen his work as a cartoonist but somehow she still believed in hin and that was sweet of her. "Yeah, totally. Its a good way to chilk after a long day of work."
"Okay, cool." Alvey said as she mentioned introducing him. He followed hrt to the back of the club, which was already packed considering it was a new club in town and waved at everyone. "Hey, guys. Good show, that was pretty rad!" He exclaimed with a small smile on his face.
Cleo grinned widely at Alvey's words and the cast thanked him, evidently appreciative. Taking a seat, Cleo patted the space next to her for him to sit as the bartender came around to take everyone's drink orders. Everyone began talking among themselves and Cleo grinned at the whole thing, a few people even turned the focus on Alvey to ask where he was from and what he was doing in Chicago. After that, the bartender came around with their drinks and Cleo took a small sip of hers before turning to Alvey. "Do you want to dance?" She asked over the music.
Alvey answered their questions easily, not really minding the attention and took sips from his drink now and then as he sat next to Cleo. He let out a small laugh at her words, remembering their conversation about clubs that night at her apartment and nodded a little. "Oh yeah, sure. Just like, try to go easy on me." He retorted playfully as he moved to stand up, setting the drink on the table and offering his hand to her.
Cleo couldn't help but laugh as he did since it was if he read her mind. She giggled even more as she heard his words, taking one more sip from her drink before standing up. Her features softened as he offered him her hand, taking it easily. "/You/ go easy on /me/!" She replied playfully, moving close to his ear so he could hear her over the music.
"Says the dancer." Alvey said with a small smirk, pulling on her hand to the dance floor. He wasn't sure of how dancing would work when there was some tension between them, in a goodway, buthe staryed by simply swaying from side to side in front of her playfully sinceit was club music.
"You literally told me you can dance, Alvey!" She replied teasingly, giving his hand a gentle squeeze as she did so. Once they reached the dance floor, Cleo tried to disregard just how big her crush on him really was and focused on dancing to the music. The entire time, though, she kept a smile on her face. Given how crowded the club was, Cleo gradually ended up closer and closer to Alvey. Which really, she wasn't complaining about.
Alvey didn't mind the closeness, if anything it was reassuring since they were just dancing and having fun. At some point, their bodies ended up pressed together and all he did was set his hand on her lower back as they danced. It would be a lie to say that he didn't know he liked Cleo. He wasn't stupid. But he also didn't think it was a bad thing. They were friends and he thoght that there was potential there for something else too. He didn't pull back and instead just danced with her with no worry in his mind about this being wrong or right at all.
Cleo could definitely feel her heartbeat pick up in her chest as he placed his hand on her lower back. It was something about that contact. It was what Cleo craved more of. She wanted to be close to Alvey. A little voice in the back of her head was telling her she should pull back because she was friends with Anna, but right now? Anna was far from her mind. She liked Alvey and she had, technically, broken up with him. Besides, Anna had someone else. So was this really so bad after all? Cleo's hands moved onto Alvey's shoulders as she moved her hips along with the music, her eyes moving to his as she grinned widely.
The thing about Cleo was that she so carefree. She just lived her life and enjoyed it like she was supposed to. And Alvey enjoyed that a lot. He pulled her even closer as he felt her hands on his shoulders, smiling at her as he moved to the beat of the music agaisnt her body, his head touching hers a little. It had been a while since he had been out dancing, and with a girl, but he found himself actually very comfortable with her, even relaxed under her hands, his other hand moving to her hip.
Cleo happily obliged and moved closer to him as he pulled her closer, one hand moving to hook around his neck as the other moved to his chest. Her head moved against his and she closed her eyes, focusing on the music and the closeness between herself and Alvey and she forced herself his to let go entirely. She evidently relaxed, sighing softly in content as she found herself pulling Alvey even closer than she already was.
Alvey actually stared at her as she closed her eyes, knowing fairly well that this was going into some very dangerous territory. But he didn't care. He waa actually quite happy where this was going, he just hoped that Cleo realozed it too. Leaning into her some more to whisper into her ear. "See, you do know how to dance at a club." He whispered playfully.
Cleo had been lost entirely dancing along with the music and focusing on how close she was to him, that she was almost a bit startled when he spoke up. She didn't let it show, though, and instead, laughed softly at his words. "It's easy with you," she assured him which was true, everything came naturally when it came to herself and Alvey.
Alvey let out a small laugh at her reply, arching an eyebrow. "That was so smooth." He said teasingly, though he really believed that, she had surprised him with that. So Alvey just leaned his head against hers one more and opened his eyes to look at her. "It's pretty nice though."
Cleo couldn't help but giggle at his words, shaking her head a little as she did so. "I do try my best." She replied modestly, resting her head against his as he leaned in to do the same. Cleo would be lying if she said his gaze on her didn't have an effect on her. God, she would be such a liar. Her eyes found his and she nodded, just barely. "I meant that, though. That's what everything with you is. Easy. At least I feel that way." Cleo admitted.
"Ah, you're trying to seduce me or something?" Alvey asked with a small smirk, it turning into a smile as soon as she locked her eyes on his, not being to stop himself from feeling something. Definitely something. "Hm. This right here with us...is turning into something, isn't it? And I'm not complaining at all."
Cleo threw her head back and laughed at Alvey's question before looking back at him, arching a brow as a playful expression came across her face. "Is it working?" She asked playfully, unable to help herself. Cleo couldn't help the smile that came across her lips as she saw him smile, although it softened as she heard his words. Did he like her back? Was that really like, a thing? Cleo thought maybe r was a long shot, but then again nothing had proved her wrong. "I'm not complaining either," she breathed out gently, sincerely.
Alvey took in a deep breath and the nodding a little. "Look at where you got me. I think that answers your question." He said gently, not really seeing a point in lying to her as he locked his eyes on hers once again and looked down at her lips as he got closer, then back to her eyes. "No?"
Cleo smiled at Alvey's response, definitely glad to hear it. He was right, it did. Cleo's stomach filled with butterflies as she saw his gaze shift from her eyes, down to her lips, then back up to her eyes. She swallowed hard, the anticipation of it all almost too much for her. She shook her head slightly, her eyes remaining on his. "I never would." She breathed out, trying not to get too flustered.
By this point, Alvey was still barely swaying to the music, his focus conpeltely on Cleo and their closeness. He smiled a little when she replied, oulling her closer and nudging his nose against hers playfully, eyes closed. "Would you complain about me kissing you?"
Cleo was also barely moving to the music because Alvey had her complete attention. She pulled him even closer by using the arm wrapped around his neck, eyes remaining on him even as he closed his eyes. She shook her head a little, finally letting her eyes fall shut as well. "There's nothing I want more, Alvey."
Alvey let her pull him closer, taking a deep breath as he leaned in closer and pressed hislips to hers as carefully as he ever could, one of his hands moving to the back of her neck gently as he did so.
Cleo hadn't realized just how much she wanted this or even how long until she finally felt his lips on hers. God, she liked him so much. She didn't realize how much, either, because she'd kept her feelings for him repressed for so long. Cleo closed the gap between them completely as she returned the gentle kiss, which was more than she ever could have asked for. And that was when she relaxed entirely.
Alvey had been with Anna for many years and he couldn't remember a time when he had felt so at east while being with her. He would lie if he said tgat he wasn't surprised by what was happening but it downed on him that it made sense. They had always had this sort of connection between them. It was crazy, but as soon as heir lips met, Alvey pulled her closer and moved his lips against hers softly, not wanting it to end any time soon.
Everything aside from Alvey became a blur. The music, the people surrounding them. Because none of it mattered. In that moment, nothing but Alvey mattered. Not even Anna. She kissed him back gently, her lips moving slow and in perfect sync with his. In that moment, being with him couldn't have felt more right. The hand that wasn't hooked around him moved to the side of his face gently, doing her best to cherish every second.
Alvey smiled softly into the kiss as he leaned into her touch, not even knowing what was happening around them or anything. He felt good and it had been a while since he had felt like that. So he just focused on Cleo and the kiss, hoping that feeling wouldn't go away."
Cleo kissed him back, slowly but surely trying to make up for where words failed her. She finally pulled back after a moment, needing to come up for air. She rested her forehead against his, not being able to help but grin seemingly ear to ear. Her arms wrapped out his neck, fingers playing with the hairs on the name of his neck gently. "You have no idea how long I've wanted that," she breathed out breathlessly.
Alvey licked his lips as they pulled back for air, taking a deep breath and opening his eyes to look at her as he heard her words. "Oh?" He was surprised to hear that, considering that she had never really said anything or even seemed like it. He had always liked her. It was just now that he was realizing it though. "Did it live up to expectations?"
"Yeah," Cleo confirmed, deciding just to put it all out in the open. She had nothing to hide. She liked Alvey and she refused to keep those feelings repressed any longer. She laughed softly at his question, opening her eyes and moving a hand to rest it on the side of his neck. "Everything I could have hoped for and more," she assured him with a grin, her eyes locking on his.
Alvey was genuinely surprised by her words, but smiling widely as she replied to his question. He had no idea of what to say, because he had never thought it would end up like this for them. At this moment, he wasn't thinking about their story and how everyone else would look at them. He just wanted to make sure everything eith them worked. Leaning in again, he pecked her lips softly and grinned. "I had no idea you liked me like that."
Cleo returned the gentle kiss, more than happy to do so. God, she'd wanted this so bad. More than he could ever realize. She kept him close, nodding her head easily at his words. It felt so nice for Cleo to finally talk to someone about this. About him. Rather than swallowing her feelings for everyone else. She refused to let anyone stand in between her and her happiness again. No way. Her thumb moved along the skin of his neck and she nodded gently. "I kept trying to hide it and repress my feelings for you for everyone else's sake but...Alvey, you have no idea how much I like you. Or how incredible you are, for that matter." She admitted honestly, looking at him intently.
"You dont have to hide it anymore." Alvey said gently, nodding his head and tilting his head to the side as he looked at her intently. He had no words for what was going, hinking that something like this could come out of all of this was surreal, honestly. He leaned his head against hers and swayed from side to side gently, grinning. "Ever since you came into the burger joint, like the first time we saw each other in months, I knew I wanted more. I just didn't know if that was okay with you..."
Hearing those words come from Alvey's mouth couldn't have been anymore reassuring. Because it meant that he liked her too. He wanted to be with her. Cleo began loving as he did, sharing a smile similar to his on her lips. "I'd have to be insane not to. That's why I thought Anna was so crazy. Because you deserve so much better than her, Alvey. I'm not even saying that's necessarily me, you just deserve the world. Really. I'd have to be out of my mind not to fall head over heels for you."
Alvey's eyes softened at her words, shaking his head a little and pulling back to tug on her hand carefully. "Why don't we get out of here? Let's drive somewhere and talk, it's too noisy here." He said gently, since they were basiclaly yelling over the music instead of talking.
For a moment, Cleo feared she had said the wrong thing when Alvey pulled back but was reassured when he grabbed her hand. "Yeah, of course." She replied, knowing that he was right and nodding quickly. She adjusted the purse on her shoulder as she laced their fingers together, letting him lead her out.
Alvey walked over to the table where they had been at, to say goodnye to everyone and to leave some cash as payment for their drinks before he began leading her out of the club and onto the streets. "You want some food and then going somewhere nice?" He offered as he tried to remember where his car was at.
Cleo followed him back to their table, picking up her Rose and saying goodbye to everyone. After that, she thanked Alvey for paying for their drinks before following him out. "Oh, yeah. Food sounds great, last time I ate was before the show," she replied gently, pulling him towards the theater since she assumed his car was back towards there.
Alvey grinned a little, opening the door of the car for her and then moving to climb into the drivers side. He began driving and gasped. "That's insane. It's really long. So, should we find a drive thru or somewhere else? I got this really nice place where we can see the city lights and eat, we just need to pick up the food." He explained easily.
Cleo thanked him as he opened the door for her, laughing softly as he gasped after her words. "I know! Drive thru is perfect if you have somewhere for us to eat, actually. I'm not very hard to please when it comes to food." Cleo replied easily before looking over at him. "How do you feel about Chick-Fil-A?"
Alvey nodded easily, not really minding it. "Sounds good. I like their milkshakes a lot." He said excitedly as he began driving to the nearest one he could find. Making a transition from friends to kissing was supposed to be awkward but somehow, he actually felt really good about all of it so far. Cleo didnt look different either, it just felt good.
Cleo grinned widely, nodding eagerly. "Oh my gosh, they're the best. Especially the vanilla ones." She replied eagerly, leaning over the middle console as he pulled into the drive thru. She asked for some of the nuggets and a vanilla milkshake, holding true to her word before reaching for her purse. "Let me pay, okay?"
"Well, I like cookies and cream way better, honstly." Alvey admitted playfully, letting her place her order and then ordering a milkshake and a salad. He worked at a burger joint, so he skipped burgers mostly anywhere he could. "Hm, I paid for the drinks so okay. All for the equality and stuff." He said with a small laugh.
"What? No way. Cookies and cream ice cream is where it's at. Not milkshakes." She replied adamantly before grabbing her wallet and taking out her card. "Good. I was ready to fight you on that one," Cleo replied in all seriousness before handing her card over to him.
"You know its the same thing, except for wating it with a straw instead of a spoon, right?" Alvey asked playfully, taking her card and paid for their food, thanking the cashier and then handing it back to her easily. "Hey, I like girl power, I have no problem with that."
"Not at all! The consistency is completely different," she replied adamantly, taking her card back and putting it up easily. She couldn't help but laugh at his words, shaking her head a little in disbelief. "Do you have any flaws, Alvey?"
Alvey laugged a little, arching an eyebrow. "What? I just said that but it's still the same. It tastes good no matter what. Milkshakes are just ice creams." He retorted since it was obvious that he knew about making them because of where he worked. "Oh, I have many flaws. Being that dumb isn't really one of them."
Cleo laughed softly, shaking her head a little. "Well then, I do stand corrected." She replied playfully, relaxing back into her seat. She laughed once again, nodding a little. "That one is way more common than you'd think, unfortunately. I'm happy to know that you're an exception."
Alvey alughed a little, taking the food and handing the bags over to her as well as their drinks before he began driving once again. He wanted them to have a nice view so he would find just the place. "Yeah. Me too. No moment to argue that anyway."
Cleo took the bags from him easily and set them next to her, then leaning back in the seat again. "Exactly," she replied in agreement. She looked out of the window for a moment, trying to wrap her mind around how they'd even found themselves here. However it had happened, Cleo was thankful it did. "Do you mind if I turn on the radio?" She asked after a moment, finding it difficult to go too long without listening to music.
"Please do. You can play anything you want, of course." Alvey said easily, his eyes on the road ahead as he drove to their destination. He thought it would be nice to just have a moment just the two of them. "So, the show...you perform everyday?"
"Thank you," Cleo replied appreciatively, leaning over to turn on the radio. She searched for a station playing some pop music, settling for that before leaning back into her seat again. She looked over at him as he spoke up, nodding a little. "Yep. Every single day. The only difference is some shows are two show days. We're free to take and vacations and stuff, though. So it's not near as strenuous as it sounds."
Alvey smiled. He loved how passionate Cleo was for her job. She made it sound likw it was way more than just her job. Which was amazing in his opinion. "That does sound nice. But yeah, tiring as well. You guys really do a great job though, which is what matters and you know, being happy."
Cleo grinned widely at his words, relieved that he felt that way. "Thank you very much. That means so much," Cleo replied appreciatively, nodding a little as she did so. "So tell me, what exactly is the first step in becoming a cartoon artist? Aside from the talent, of course."
Alvey laughed a little, shrugging. "No idea. I just draw, haven't really sold any of my cartoons yet." He admitted easily since he was in no way making profits off that yet. Alvey finally parked the car up on a hill where Chicago could be seen with all the street lights. "So I wouldn't know much about it."
Cleo grinned at his modesty, nodding gently in understanding as she did so. "Ah, okay." She replied gently. "I'm sure you'll figure it out, though. You'll have to show me what you've come up with, though. I'm very curious," Cleo urged him, grabbing the bags of food from her side before she climbed out of the car.
"Yeah. I actuallt have one of my notebooks here. Come on." He grabbed their milkshakes and then the notebook he kept in his car before climbing out and opening the trunk of his suv to sit there so they could be comfortable. "I think the first step is showing your art which I haven't done much about since I had stopped drawing for a little while when I was with Anna."
"Yeah? Awesome," Cleo replied eagerly, definitely looking forward to seeing a whole new part of him. She was happy that he was actually willing to share such a huge part of his life with her. She walked to the back of the car and hopped into the trunk area, pulling her legs up to sit Indian styled. "Right, yeah. Well, you're back at it now which is what's important." Cleo assured him before adverting her gaze ahead. "This view is incredible, Alvey."
Alvey handed over her milkshake carefully and then smiled widely. "Yeah, it feels good to be back at it. And I'm really glad that you like it. Fifured we could use a place like this to just...talk and stuff." He said softly.
"I bet." Cleo replied gently. She couldn't imagine giving up dance, especially for someone else. A perfect relationship is someone who supports you when it comes to what you love most. Cleo then nodded her head gently, taking a sip from her milkshake gently. "Hm, yeah. It's perfect. I didn't realize I was screaming at you until you pointed it out."
Alvey smirked a little, shrugging. "I am pretty sure everyone heard us back at the club, despite the loud music." He said teasingly as he began to eat his salad and then picked up his notebook to hand it over to her. "Here's some of the stuff I have been working on."
Cleo giggled at the thought of everyone hearing then, shaking her head a little. She began eating her food slowly, humming softly and swallowing as he handed her the notebook. She placed her nuggets aside and took it, handling it carefully before setting it on her lap. She opened it up, her eyes lighting up as she took her time looking at each drawing closely. "Alvey. This is incredible." She breathed out with a grin. "Are you kidding? You should be working for Pixar already."
Alvey grinned widely as she giggled, continuing to eat and looking ahead as she checked out his sketch book. He was nervous but he didnt really show it, hoping she would just be honest about it. He let out a small, almost nervous laugh at her words, obviously trying to hide it. "You're sweet. But I wish. I wanna make that happen, I just know I have to work very, very hard."
Cleo extended her hand a placed it on his leg gently as she continued looking through the sketch book, shaking her head a little. "To make it happen, Alvey. Because all the talent is right here," she assured him, lifting her head only to lean over to kiss his cheek gently before she went back to looking through the book. "I would ask you to draw me but I'm sure it would end up being a curly mess, huh?"
Alvey grinned as she kissed his cheek and placed her hand on his leg, leaning towards her some more to see what she was looking at. "I think it's funny that you think I haven't done that yet, are you kidding? I already have. I don't know if I have you on this one sketch book though." He admitted gently, taking a sip of his milkshake.
Cleo's eyes widened at his words, still surprised by how much he seemed to have thought of her even when they weren't together. "What? Seriously?" She asked gently, evidently surprised but also flattered. She shook her head a little, laughing softly. "I'm...I'm flattered. This is all just kinda surreal to me. I never would have guessed you even give me a second thought when we're not together."
"Of course. Several times." Alvey admitted easily since he had done a few cartoons of her even before he and Anna were over. "It involves a lot of curls, I will give you that but its also very, very cute." He admitted playfully, leaning over to peck her lips gently. "Just like you."
"Alvey!" Cleo exclaimed in surprise as he shared that he had done it not just once, but several times. She giggled at his words since Cleo's hair was perhaps her most distinguishing feature. She grinned widely at his words, leaning into him to peck his lips back easily. That felt right. It felt good. "I can't believe I'm just finding this out. I'll have to see these ASAP." She replied with a pointed look before laughing softly. "I feel like I need to serenade you or something now."
"Cleo! I should be mad that you didnt think yourself worthy of getting a cartoon from me." He said teasingly, letting out a small laugh and then taking the notebook from her to keep looking until he found one of hers. It was just her, with her hair dancing at what seemed to be a club. "I made this one when you introduced me to Caesar. Funnily enough I saw you at a club tonight. When you were seducing me. You also dont have to serenade me unless you want to though. You only have to do things that you want to do."
"Because I'm not," Cleo let out a soft laugh, shaking her head a little as she did so. Setting her food aside, she moved closer to Alvey until she was sitting right next to him to get a better look at the drawing. Her face lit up as she saw the picture, a soft gasp leaving her lips. "Alvey. Oh my god. I love it," she replied breathlessly, leaning over to his his cheek before moving her arm to slip it around his middle. "Noted. Wow, I'm not over that. I won't be for awhile. You really have a talent for this, you know that? And this is my totally not biased opinion."
"I hope you are joking, Cleo." Alvey murmured teasingly, turning his head to look at her better in order to see her reaction and then grinning as she kissed his cheek. "You do? That means a lot." He admitted softly, leaning into her and wrapping his arm around her shoulders carefully as he locked his eyes on hers gently. "A very, very biased opinion. But thank you. That means a lot. No matter how biased. I care about what you think, you know?"
"I'm absolutely serious. I'm not worthy of this masterpiece here, but I am grateful for it nonetheless." She assured him, leaning into him even more as he slipped his arm around her shoulder. "I really do." She assured him, reaching over to grab her phone. She took a picture of the drawing, wanting to keep it forever, really. She then set her phone aside before looking at him intently. "I'm glad. I didn't know. But if that's the case you should know I think the world of you."
Alvey shook his head. "Oh, please. Don't be silly. You are basically the best person I know and you are famous, you are probably used to being drawn all the time." He murmured playfully, letting out a small laugh and then watching as she took a picture of it with her phone, grinning widely. That was cute. He looked down at her when she dropped her phone, reaching up with his free hand to push some of her hair off her face with a smile. "Thats an amazing coincidence considering how highly I think of you then. And you know, considering we like each other and all of that." He whispered playfully.
Cleo was unable to constrain her smile at his words and laughed softly, shaking her head a little. "You think a bit /too/ highly of me, Alvey." She replied playfully. Cleo closed her eyes for a moment as he pushed a few of her curly tresses off of her face before opening them to look up at him. The smile quickly returned to her lips upon hearing his words since it was still surreal to her, but she nodded. "How long, though? Have you felt this way about me, I mean. If you don't mind me asking I just...I can't help but wonder since I've felt this way about you for so long."
"Are you sure? Cause look at you. Still very young, alreasy with a dream job, successful, hard working. I think I see you as the person that you are. Like most importantly, you are the best person that I know." Alvey said easily, not really minding the fact that he was being really honest. He figured that they needed to be completely truthful to each other because he didnt think their friends would be very thoughtful with them. "Hm, I am not sure. I think I have liked you since we met. I was just...you know, with someone else, so I never let myself think too much into it. I just...I guess I always felt this sort of pull to you. That night at the burger joint made me feel like there was more to us, you know? Like I understood it."
Cleo's features softened entirely at Alvey's words. They meant more to Cleo than he could have possibly imagined. She stared at him after he finished speaking before leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to his lips, almost as a thank you of sorts, before pulling away. "Alvey," she breathed out breathlessly, shaking her head slightly in disbelief. "You're the best person /I/ know. Truly." She whispered before listening intently to what he said next. She grinned widely, taking his hand and resting her head on his shoulder. "You have no idea how happy I am to hear that. All of this, really."
Alvey smiled softly and kissed her gently, glad that she liked what he had to say about her. She was a great girl and it good that she was aware of that. Lacing their fingers today, he laughed a little. "Thank you, you do think highky of me, honestly." He admitted playfully before he leaned his head on top of hers. "Yeah? I am very happy that you are happy, honestly."
Cleo held his hand tightly, just thankful that she was able to even do so. "Because you deserve it. More than anyone I know." She assured him, grinning as he rested his head on hers while her eyes fixated ahead. "I'm the happiest girl right now, really. All because of you." She breathed out.
Alvey looked ahead at the city lights, playing with her fingers a little and a smile showing up on his face when she spoke up once again. "All me? I giess that meams we really like each other because I feel the same way."
Cleo nodded her head as much as she could in confirmation to his words, exhaling softly in content. "You have no idea." She replied gently before her gaze shifted down to his tattoos. She ran her thumb over the bird on his hand, not being able to help but smile. "You have a lot of tattoos," she observed gently before laughing. "Sorry, that was lame. They're interesting to me, is all."
Alvey looked down at their hands as she talked about his tattoos, grinning a little. "They probably look more interesting than they are. I have some in hidden places too." He said playfully, letting out a small laugh and then pecking her lips.
Cleo's dark eyes remained fixated on his arm as she looked at the tattoos that were exposed to her, laughing softly at his admission. "Yeah? You'll have to show me sometime," she murmured gently before looking up at him just as he leaned into her to peck her lips. She returned the kiss easily, more than happy to do so. "I have a pretty deathly fear of needles so tattoos are out of the question for me."
"I will show you any time you'd like." Alvey said easily, smiling softly and then staying close as they pulled back from the soft kiss. He let out a small laugh at her admission, leaning his head againat hers. "It's okay, I can get some in my own body for you." He said teasingly.
Cleo nodded gently at his words, definitely intending on taking him up on that offer. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze as she leaned her head against his, exhaling softly in content. She giggled at his offer, shaking her head a little. "That's a very serious offer to make for little me."
"Well, I was only joking. That seems like a way too serious offer for a first night out and all, dont wanna scare you away or anything." Alvey admitted with a small grin, giving her hand a gentle squeeze and then taking another sip of his milkshake. "I assume we will be like, dating and going out and stuff? I mean would you like that?"
Cleo laughed softly as he clarified, nodding her head gently at his words. "No worries. You'd have to try way harder than that to scare me off." She assured him, running her thumb along the back of his hand before she looked at him intently. She bit down on her bottom lip at his words, nodding slowly. "I would like that a lot, if I'm honest," she breathed out gently. "This is something I never thought would happen, you know?"
Alvey grinned widely, looking at her intently as she spoke and then shaking his head a little. "Nothing is impossible in this world, Cleo. And I would like that a lot too, honestly." He admitted carefully, lifting her hand up to his lips. "But...we do need to talk about, you know, the friends and Anna and all of it...like how we're gonna deal with that."
Cleo couldn't help but smile as she saw the one on his face, it was contagious. She squeezed his hand gently as he lifted hers to her lips, but of course the happy feeling fleeted as she heard Anna's name escape his lips. She let a soft sigh emit from her lips as she looked ahead at the city, shaking her head a little. "I don't want her to ruin this too.."
"She won't." Alvey said immediately, leaning in to kiss her cheek a few times and pulling her closer. "This doesnt have anything to do with her even. I just meant that you are friends, she will have things to say. I dont wanna make things hard for you and stuff."
Cleo couldn't help but feel reassured by how quickly he responded and she nodded gently, slipping her hand from his to wrap her arm around his middle as he pulled her closer. She nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck, exhaling slowly as she did so before nodding once again. "Right, yeah. Of course. I mean, it's not really any of her business, you know? I don't wanna hide our relationship from our mutual friends, though. I think that's just silly."
Alvey sighed a little as she hid her face into his neck, that meant he couldn't try and figure out what she was feeling about his words. "Yeah, agreed. I don't wanna hide it either. I mean, we arent doing anything wrong, you know?" He said carefully, looking ahead at the city as he thought about it. "I just figired talking about it between us would be good."
Cleo closed her eyes for a moment at his words, considering their portions. She wished they didn't have to worry about this. More than anything. That it could just be them and they wouldn't have to worry about anything else. But it wasn't that easy. Cleo lifted her head, her eyes fixating on the city ahead of them. "Yeah. No, I mean, you're right. We gotta figure all of this out before anything else." She replied gently, huffing gently. "I..I don't know what to do about Anna. She's a good friend, believe it or not. Not the best, but still good." Cleo breathed out gently. "But if it came down to you or her... my mind is made up."
Alvey thought about it for a second, trying to figure out what to say or do to make it easier for her. Alvey was mostly thinking about her. He had already distanced himself from their friends and liked it better. "Hm. Just wish you didn't feel like you had to pick." He admitted gently, sending her a small smile as he looked at her intently. "Okay...how about this? We just go out and do our thing. Whoever finds out, finds out. Until we feel ready enough to just tell anyone that we want like whatever feels right." He offered gently, not wanting her to worry too much about Anna.
Cleo wished she didn't have to pick either. And while it wasn't ideal, it wasn't exactly a difficult decision to make. She placed her hands on either side of his body, looking over at him as she heard his suggestion. It sounded perfect, really. They would tackle it as they went. "That...That's a really good approach to this whole thing," Cleo replied gently, a smile coming across her lips. "That way we can tackle it together, you know?"
"Yeah," Cleo replied gently, leaning over to press a kiss to his lips after he kissed her forehead. She exhaled softly in relief, happy that they had addressed it and that it was behind them not. Cleo was willing to sacrifice a lot of things to be with him, he was worth it. Cleo grinned at his offer and nodded gently. "I would love that. Can Caesar come?"
Alvey smiled as she kissed him, letting out a small laugh at the mention of Caesar. "Alien puppy is definitely allowed to come. He will love running around that place." He said excitedly, slipping one of his arms around her shoulders and leaning back a little.
Cleo giggled at Alvey's words, nodding a little. "He'll enjoy it. I don't get to take him out near as much as I'd like to, so you may become his new favorite person." Cleo mused, slipping both of her arms around his middle so as to hug him as she leaned into him.
Alvey laughed gently, wrapping his arms around her shoulders carefully and kissing her temple gently, grinning as she pushed her hair away carefully. "Hm, thats so sad. I usually work nights so I could take him out for walks during the day if you want?" He offered easily.
Cleo's smile only grew as he kissed her temple and she sighed softly in content, tilting her head up to look up at him. "Yeah? You wouldn't mind?" She asked gently. Cleo's eyes scanned over his face slowly, seemingly in complete adoration as she waited patiently for his answer.
"I would love to." Alvey said easily, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her and then closed his eyes when he realized how she was looking at him, blushing and laughing a little. "You're making me feel shy with that look."
"You're the best. Caesar will think so too," Cleo replied gently. Alvey really seemed to be as perfect as they came. Did the man have any flaws at all? Cleo was starting to doubt it. Cleo's eyes widened a little at his words since she had been completely oblivious as to how she'd been looking at her. She lifted her head, shaking her head a little. "What look?"
"I don't know, just looking at me that way." Alvey explained since he didnt really know what that look meant but feeling as if it had meant something. Looking into her eyes, Alvey leaned in and kissed her softly, his hands cupping the side of her neck as he did so.
Cleo laughed softly at his admission, nodding a little as she did so. As Alvey leaned in to her, Cleo let her eyes fall shut as his lips moved to hers. She couldn't help but let a soft hum of content escape her lips onto his as she moved her lips slowly against his, taking her time with it and enjoying every second. She'd waited for this way too long not to.
Alvey moved his lips carefully against hers, almost melting into her. It had been so long since he had felt at ease with someone. And it had been long since he had kissed someone like this, like it was way more than just a kiss. He ran his thumb along the skin of her neck as he tilted his head to the side to deepen the kiss, eyes closed as he pulled her even closer.
Cleo closed the gap between them entirely as Alvey pulled her even closer, wanting to be as close to him as possible, then letting her head fall to the opposite to reciprocate the kiss as he deepened it. Her hands moved to rest on his sides gently, her thumbs running over his rib cages slowly. Cleo wasn't exactly certain about a lot of things in life, but Alvey was one sure thing she had always been certain of. How much he meant to her. How much she wanted to be with him. How long she'd waited for /this/. Cleo's tongue ran along his bottom lip to ask for entrance as she moved even closer to him to hook an arm around his neck to pull him closer.
Alvey leaned into her and opened his mouth when she ran her tongue along his lip, cupping the back of her neck with his hand carefully to keep her close as his tongue touched hers gently, his other hand slipping down to her hip.
Cleo couldn't have been any more at ease. She'd wanted this for so long and now that she had it she couldn't be happier. Alvey truly made her feel like the happiest girl in the world. She hoped that feeling never fleeted. She exhaled softly in relief as she felt his tongue move against hers, pulling him that much closer. Not like that much was really possible, at this point, they were practically skin to skin.
Alvey hummed a little as they continued kissing, pulling back just a lottle to get his breath back as he pulled her even closer. "I don't think I will ever get tired of kissing you." He whispered gently, kissing her again and shifting a little to get more comfortable.
Cleo kept her eyes closed as he broke the kiss momentarily, not being able to help but grin as she heard his words. How had she gotten so lucky? "This is quickly becoming my favorite hobby," she breathed out against his lips, joking but also entirely serious. She loved to drape her legs over his lap before their lips connected once again.
Alvey let out a soft laugh against her mouth before they kissed again, his hand on her hip moving to her leg, moving it up and down while he moved his lips slowly against hers easily and then kissed down to her neck, pushing her hair back carefully.
Cleo couldn't help but smile into the kiss as she heard his laugh, there was nothing that sounded sweeter to her. As his lips moved down to her neck, she let her head fall to the side to allow him more access, silently hoping that her hair wasn't too much of an obstruction. She probably should have pulled it up, anyway. As she was facing him completely, Cleo leaned against him and let a soft hum of content emit from her lips.
Alvey kissed her neck gently for a moment, breathing her in and then finally pecking her lips again. "Hm. I like you so much, you know? If I ever forget to say it, just know it's a thing." He said playfully.
Cleo relished in the feeling of not only Alvey's lips against the most sensitive spots of her neck, but also the closeness between them. Pecking his lips back gently, happy to do so, she opened up her eyes as she heard him speak up. She grinned widely, not being able to believe that this was happening. "Noted," she breathed out almost breathlessly. "You have no idea how badly I've wanted to hear you say that; you know that?"
Alvey bit down on his bottom lip at her words, taking a deep breath. "I didnt even know I was on your radar like that, you know? Like until we kissed tonight, I had no idea what was going on." He said gently, letting out a small laugh and kissing her quickly again.
Cleo was definitely interested to hear his perspective of it all since she hadn't been able to talk to anyone about this for so long. She laughed softly at his words, nodding a little and netting him halfway to reciprocate the brief kiss. Her hand then moved to the side of his face, thumb running along his facial hair carefully. "Hm, I don't know. Kinda figured you were out of my league? Especially with all the stuff that happened. I figured you didn't see me as anything more than Anna's friend."
Alvey smiled softly as she caressed his face, the hand on the back of her neck drawing small circles and then kissing her nose. "Oh, I saw you alright." He said playfully, thougg he meant it, shehad always been beautifuk to him, even if from afar.
Cleo giggled at his response, scrunching her nose up playfully after he kissed her nose. She leaned forward to press a kiss to his cheek, then pulling back at him intently. "I wouldn't dream of hurting you, you know that?" She breathed out gently.
Alvey frowned a little at her words, realizing what she meant. That brcause of his past with Anna, she wanted to reassure him. "Don't say that..." He whispered softly, looking at her intently and then sighing softly. "I don't want you to think that I think like that. I hadn't even thought about that."
Cleo's features softened at his words as her hand moved down to his shoulder, although her eyes never moved from his. She nodded her head gently. "I just thought you should hear it," she replied softly. "Like, I understand if you don't want to rush into anything because of what happened."
Alvey nodded a little, leaning into her touch and giving her knee a gentle squeeze. "Yeah, but I don't think everyone is out tere waiting to hurt me. I just think, like, you and Anna are different and that is all that matters. I trust you." He whispered, locking his eyes on hers.
Cleo nodded her head gently at Alvey's words. This man was too good to be true. Definitely too good for Anna. Maybe even too good for Cleo. She didn't think about that though, and smiled at his last words. "I trust you too," she whispered sincerely, moving forward to nuzzle her face into the crook of his neck where she peppered small kisses against his skin.
Alvey groaned playfully as she kissed all over his neck, leaning back as if she were oushing him back onto the floor of the car. "You better. Cause I could be a serial killer and just dragged you all the way here." He said playfully.
Cleo giggled softly against his skin as he groaned playfully, leaning back into him since she was as close to him as it got. She pulled back, though, as she heard his words, laughing once again.  "Alvey, oh my gosh," she breathed out playfully before pecking his lips quickly. "You're too pretty to be a serial killer." Cleo mused before pulling back a bit more to lay down completely.
Alvey laughed lightly as she did so too, pecking her lips and then rolled onto his side to look at her better. "There are several handsome serial killers, Cleo. Like Dahmer." He said easily, obviously messing around with her as he leaned his head on his hand.
Cleo pecked his lips back quickly, arching an eyebrow at his words as she looked over at him. "Who?" She asked gently. Cleo knew nothing of the subject, honestly. Cleo turned on her side as well to look up at him intently, resting her arm under her head. "You're still too pretty for that stuff, though."
"What? Jeffrey Dahmer, Cleo. He was a serial killer known for killing and abducting young males." Alvey explained gently, archinan eyebrow at her. He was not an expert but he knew a lot. Alvey poked her stomach and then smirked. "Hm? Well, thank you."
Cleo's eyebrows knitted together in confusion at Alvey's response and she shook her head a little. "Never heard of 'em," she replied gently before giggling as he poked her stomach, shying away from him a bit after he did so. "Of course."
"Of him, you mean." Alvey said easily, letting out a small laugh and then leaning over to kiss her gently. "I try to be pretty and all, it kinda just happens."
"Of him, you mean." Alvey said easily, letting out a small laugh and then leaning over to kiss her gently. "I try to be pretty and all, it kinda just happens."
"Mhm," Cleo hummed gently, leaning into him to kiss him back gently, her hand moving to take his gently. She laughed softly at his modesty, nodding a little. "Well, it's working very well. So whatever you're doing you should definitely keep it up."
Alvey gave her hand a soft squeeze and kissed her again, sighing in content. "We should get going before we fall asleep out here, huh?" He offered gently, keeping his face close to hers as he did so and smiling widely.
Cleo returned the kiss, more than happy to do so before figuring that he was right. Her hands moved above her head and she arched her back as she stretched, then pushing herself up and pushing her hair from her face. "Hm, yeah." She replied gently, not being able to help but smile as she looked at him. "I'll get to see you tomorrow though, right?"
Alvey nodded easily, moving to sit up and then picking up their trash to put in a bag. "Of course. Hiking with alien puppy, remember?" He said gently, climbing out of the car and then iffering his hand to her.
Cleo took one more sip from her drink before putting it in the bag, nodding eagerly at his words. "Of course," she replied, immediately remembering before she took his hand to climb out of the car. "I can't wait."
Alvey shut the trunk and then moved to the front. "Same. It'll be fun." He said excitedly as hw opened the dooe for her and then climbing onto the drivers seat to buckle up. "I can pick you up after breakfast tomorrow?"
Cleo nodded gently at his words, thanking him for opening the door for her before she climbed in. "Yeah, that sounds perfect. I normally wake up pretty early anyways." She assured him, reaching for his hand once he was seated.
"Hm, sounds like a plan." Alvey said easily, takingher hand as he began driving with his other one, smiling. "You are in charge of the radio, by the way. All yours." He offered teasingly.
Cleo laced their fingers together as he took her hand, humming softly in content as he began driving. She laughed softly at his words, nodding easily before moving to turn it on. "What an honor," she replied playfully, searching for an oldies station and settling for that. She lifted his hand to her lips, taking her time to kiss each of his knuckles gently.
Alvey smiled softly as she kissed each one of his knuckles, letting out a small, almost giggle. "That tickles a little." He said playfully, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "How many shows do you have tomorrow?"
Cleo giggled at Alvey's words since she found him nothing short of adorable, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand before dropping their hands into her lap. "Hm, sorry." She replied apologetically. "Just one tomorrow night."
Alvey grinned a little, taking a deep breath. "Nice." He said gently, since he knew that she was definitely a hard worker completely.
"Which means more time for you and alien puppy," Cleo replied playfully, his terminology rubbing off on her. She turned and looked over at him, flashing him a grin.
"Oh for sure. I will work tomorrow night too, so it works really well." Alvey admitted gently, smiling and glad that she was already thinking about spending a smuch time with him as possible.
"That's perfect." Cleo responded easily, not being able to contain her smile as she gave him a gentle squeeze. "I get time with my two favorite boys and then I get to dance my little heart out, sounds like a good day."
"You're cute." Alvey said gently, letting out a small laugh and then looking over at her when he parked the car in front of her building. "I will walk you to your door."
"Thank you very much," Cleo replied appreciatively with a grin, then nodding at his offer. "Okay," she murmured before grabbing her purse and the rose, then climbing out of the car. She met Alvey around the front and extended her hand to him as she flashed him a smile.
Alvey took her hand, leading her to the front door before kissing her cheek as they stepped inside. "I will pick you up tomorrow then?"
Cleo leaned into him as he kissed her cheek, stepping inside and setting her purse down easily. She then moved to wrap her arms around his neck to hug him, humming in affirmative. "Mhm. Bright and early."
Alvey slipped his arms around her waist, grinning. "Yes, of course." He grinned at her, kissing her cheek and then her lips softly as he hummed. "Can't wait, actually."
Cleo hugged Alvey tightly before pulling back as he kissed her cheeks, kissing him once more after he did so. "Me neither." She replied gently before kissing him once again. "Drive safe, okay?"
Alvey smiled as she kissed him. "Mhm." He mumbled against her lips, kissing her once again and then pulling back to smirk. "I gotta go or we wont stop."
Cleo giggled as she heard his words, knowing that he was absolutely right. "Okay. A few more," she breathed out gently before pecking his lips a few times until she finally pulled back. It took her only a second to lean in and kiss him one last time, grinning widely. "And one for the road."
Alvey chuckled, kissing her back every single time and giving her sides soft squeeze when they kissed one last time. "Hm, good. See you tomorrow, okay. Say hello to alien puppy for me!"
Cleo jumped as Alvey squeezed her sides, giggling nonetheless before searching for her keys. "Will do. See you tomorrow, Alvey." She replied, flashing him a grin before unlocking her door and stepping inside, feeling as f she were on cloud nine after the nights events.
