hi darling, if you're comfortable with it, could you do a reading on p diddy? will there be more lawsuits against him? <3 thank you.
"Surviving Diddy"
Trigger warning ⚠️ This reading contains graphic imagery and mentions of grooming. Viewer discretion is advised.
Human trafficking, drug soliciting, car explosions, and more. What's next for Diddy?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cassie's lawsuit and how it is affecting Diddy currently:
Tumblr media
I believe Diddy was at a point of his career where things were lifting off for him and he was able to venture out and explore different interests outside of his musical career. It was like a rocket ship preparing to launch but explored before it could ever fly into the sky. Diddy was not expecting for Cassie to file a lawsuit against him and this has scared him shitless. Right now his PR team are trying to do damage control and salvage any contracts or business he has made. The stocks in the background remind me of flames so I feel like his career is literally going down in flames and I believe that is already taking full effect. Diddy is very manipulative though so he could try to pull connections or trick people into doing more business with him.
Diddy's past coming to light, is it true?
Tumblr media
Channeled song:
The Light Is Coming by Ariana Grande ft. Nicki Minaj
"The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole."
I felt the warmth of a hand on my shoulder and it did not feel comforting, it felt intimidating and uneasy. I 100% believe the accusations are true (also ofc we all know Diddy is in fact a groomer, but the other information that was released that no one heard of until now is what I mean). I remember as a child I heard this quote and it goes "What's done in the dark, always come to light". People are only getting the surface level of his wrong doings. Diddy had promised young individuals in the industry fame, glory, and success. He uses charm and persuasion to be considered likeable. Diddy could also tried to take the role of a father for these individuals or use logic to seem wise or more mature beyond his years, but it's all a ploy to get them to do what they want or even in bed.
Diddy's fate:
Tumblr media
Chile... who's spirit guides did he piss off? Someone's guides is bringing balance into this situation and they are loving every second of this! They plan to torment him and hit him where it hurts. This feel like a woman's energy... dare I say his wife 👀? It feels very powerful and holy. Their spirit is very much alive and they have a plan that is already in full effect. Cassie's lawsuit is just the tip of the iceberg. I do believe more people will come forward, not just in lawsuits, but in speaking their truth in general

DALLAS LIU SEES YOUR TIKTOK THIRST-TRAP EDITS OF HIM
Dallas Liu may be playing the Zuko in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, but you won’t catch him with the Fire Nation prince’s restrictive, gravity-defying ponytail in real life.
“I would never, ever out of my own personal choice rock the ponytail. It’s a haircut that not even cosplayers are willing to take on,” he tells NYLON. “I can gladly say that I would not recommend it to anyone.” But the 22-year-old actor does admit to what fans of the original animated series have known since the show debuted back in 2015: “The ponytail does look super badass on screen.”
Liu says he knew the challenge of bringing such a beloved character to life, but not only did he grow up watching the animated series and loving the Fire Nation prince for his fierce loyalty, but the show inspired him to start practicing martial arts. Ahead, Liu takes on the NYLON 19, revealing his thoughts on ghosts (or “spirits,” as he prefers to call them), TikTok thirst-trap edits of himself, and more.
1. WHAT’S YOUR ASTROLOGICAL SIGN (AND DO YOU BELIEVE IN IT)?
I am a Leo! Unfortunately, I don’t believe in it because of my experience meeting people with the same birthday, but us being different personality-wise.
2. DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS (AND HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE)?
Yes, most definitely. Although I think the word “spirits” would be a better way to define it. I’ve never seen one — thank God — but I have felt uneasy in very old hotels or rooms that have a very long history.
3. WHO WOULD BE THE THREE HEADLINERS OF THE MUSIC FESTIVAL OF YOUR DREAMS?
Dominic Fike, Beach House, and Sade.
4. WHAT'S A BAD HABIT OF YOURS THAT YOU'VE BEEN MEANING TO FIX?
Honestly, I’m so bad at parking my car. Not that I’m bad at driving, but when it comes to parallel parking or even in a parking lot, I don’t put much thought into it.
5. WHAT WAS THE LAST INTERNET RABBIT HOLE YOU WENT DOWN?
I spend too many nights doom-scrolling on Instagram or TikTok, but it was probably a compilation of Avatar: The Last Airbender lore.
6. DESCRIBE YOUR WORST DATE IN THREE WORDS OR PHRASES.
Short, McDonald’s, Black Ice Car Freshener
7. WHAT WAS THE LAST DM YOU RECEIVED?
My friend sent me a TikTok thirst-trap edit of myself this morning which was interesting.
8. IF YOU COULD BE IN ANY MUSIC VIDEO, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would have to say either the music video for Bow Wow’s “Let Me Hold You” or Chris Brown’s “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” just because the music videos in the ‘00s were just built differently.
9. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CONCERT, AND WHAT ARE YOUR MEMORIES OF IT?
Daniel Caesar performing in LA for his Case Study 01: Tour. It was my first one, so I remember everything about it. At the time, he was taking the music industry by storm and I was a major fan, so that concert was everything to me. I also was introduced to how much of a different experience listening to live music is.
10. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE AS A KID?
The Polar Express.
11. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MEME/INTERNET JOKE AND WHY?
The personality that comes with wearing a fedora. It’s always funny to me and forever will be. Maybe one day I’d get to play a character that wears a fedora. Maybe Zuko.
12. WHAT'S YOUR GO-TO BREAKUP SONG?
“I Gotta Find Peace of Mind” by Lauryn Hill.
13. WHAT IS ONE THING EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THAT IS UNDER $10?
A sweet latte with oat milk from Blue Bottle. A must. Just try it. It’s so good. I could live off of it.
14. WHAT PIECE OF CLOTHING FROM HIGH SCHOOL DO YOU WISH YOU KEPT?
My vintage Green Day shirt. It had the perfect shade of a faded black and the fit of it was immaculate.
15. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PAIR OF SHOES THAT YOU OWN, AND WHY?
Military boots because they look the coolest.
16. WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO SAD SONG?
Anything by Elliott Smith or Duster.
17. WHAT REALITY SHOW WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO APPEAR ON?
Love Island UK.
18. WHAT IS YOUR BEST BEAUTY TIP OR TRICK?
Korean skincare products.
19. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FAST-FOOD PLACE, AND WHAT’S YOUR ORDER?
Wingstop: four lemon pepper classic and four original hot classic, all flats. Lemon pepper seasoned fries cooked well done. A side of ranch and bleu cheese. Root beer.

Tips For A Great Mitzvah DJ Performance
First off, if you’re looking for a great Mitzvah DJ performance, then you’ve come to the right place. As a professional DJ, I’ve been at the forefront of the music industry for over 15 years and I know first-hand what it takes to create a memorable experience for your guests. The key to a successful reception is to keep your personality and enthusiasm in check and focus on playing the right tunes for the occasion. Here, I will share some of my top tips to help you make your Mitzvah DJ performance the best one yet. From setting the tone with the right music to engaging your guests with a professional microphone, these simple tricks will provide you with all the skills necessary to make your Mitzvah DJ performance the best one yet.
Choose Your Music and Tactics Wisely
The choice of music and tactics for a successful event can be a tricky balancing act. You need to ensure that the music selection is appropriate for the crowd and that the flow of the music is kept interesting. A DJ who can read and adjust to the crowds’ behavior and preferences is key. Every genre of music has its own distinct vibes and moods, and music selection should be tailored to the audience. Establishing a musical ambiance, telling a story with your music, or forming something unexpected out of whimsical transitions, all contribute to a successful event. Additionally, thoughts should also be given to the tempo of the music, the selection of songs played, and the video/visuals used. All of these elements have to be carefully crafted and thought out, but with the right strategy, they will be sure to amaze guests and keep them engaged.
Have Multiple Genres of Music Ready
When selecting music for events, diversifying the genres of music you have at your disposal is important. Especially at events that run into the night, changing up the genres of music being played can keep the energy in the room alive and prevent people from becoming bored. Furthermore, anticipating what the audience would like is important and having different varieties of music like Rock, Pop, and Electronic music can guarantee that they have something they can enjoy. As a DJ, it helps to be up to date with the latest music so that whatever music you play, you’ll know that the audience will recognize the tracks and enjoy it.
Be Flexible and Adaptable
As a DJ, you need to be adaptable to various scenarios. Music should always adjust accordingly to the environment, and no DJ should be tied down to playing one particular style or genre. You may have a set list in mind, but any experienced DJ will know that having the ability to change and read the dynamics of the crowd is essential. Interacting with the crowd and understanding their needs and wants is essential to providing them with the best experience. Additionally, having a versatile approach to music selection is also important as guests will appreciate an open-minded DJ who responds the different requests.
Get the Crowd Involved
Getting the crowd involved is key to creating a successful event. DJs should utilize the opportunity to entertain guests while promoting positivity throughout the room. Queuing up fun dance-alongs, encouraging guests to utilize the dance floor, or playing music that people can rock out to, can all help to ensure a successful night. It’s also a good idea to get the venue staff involved, as interacting with them can be a great way to increase the energy in the room.
Be a Master of Sound and Lighting
Mastering the sound and lighting of an event is an important part of hosting an unforgettable experience. As a DJ, you should have a good understanding of the sound and lighting equipment used at the event in order to maximize its potential. This includes finding the right balance between bass and sound levels whilst also ensuring a consistent tone and atmosphere. Setting the appropriate colors and effects can also add to the ambience, while paying special attention to the speakers will also help to keep the sound crisp and clear.
Work with a Professional Dance Instructor
Events don’t just have to be about music, and having a professional dance instructor on-hand can lead to additional experiences and opportunities for guests. Dancers can help guests to learn and do various moves, break the ice, and ultimately get more people on the dance floor. Dancers can also help to manage the crowds, take part in games, and carry out other humorous tasks to entertain the guests. Furthermore, having a trainer can help the DJ’s to reach out to wider audiences, such as those that don’t typically enjoy events and may not be aware of the music being played.
Recognize Unfamiliar Guests & Engage Them
Events attract people from all walks of life, and being able to engage with those who don’t fit in can take a DJ’s event from ordinary to extraordinary. It is the responsibility of the DJ to recognize and engage guests, even those that are strangers to them. This can be as simple as introducing them to the music, pointing out what they may like within the selection, or even having a brief chat with them to understand their interests better. The more inclusive the atmosphere, the better the event’s atmosphere will be. This can also help those that may seem shy or embarrassed to come out of their shell and enjoy the event for what it is.
Conclusion
The key to having a great Mitzvah DJ performance is to have a good understanding of the style of music, a clear plan for the flow of the event and plenty of enthusiasm during your performance. Additionally, make sure to include the guests in your performance, as this helps to get everyone involved and enjoying the event. Finally, it is also important to have a backup plan if something unexpected does not go according to plan. With these tips in mind, you are sure to have a memorable Mitzvah DJ performance.

How to Make Music Online
The process of remixing a song is not at all like writing the original track. Sometime it seems like it is pretty easy to create a remix online, but it takes much skill to do it. The fact is that the mixed track should not be only processed in a new way, but also should sound no worse, or even better than the original. However, despite all the difficulties, creating mixes can be quite fun and amazing. The author can put completely different emotions into his version of the song; can change its meaning and much more. At the same time, it may seem that only specialists can make a good remix in a professional studio, but this is not the case, since music making programs such as Amped Studio will allow coping with this task even at home. How to do this, we will consider in more detail in this article.
make music online can be done on your laptop, desktop, smartphone or tablet. Many of these platforms have features such as recording vocals, editing tracks and tweaking beats. You can even change the key for your tracks. However, online music production software is not as powerful as professional software. Although you can create quality tracks, you may have trouble getting the results you are after. However, there are some notable sites you can try.
One of the most popular sites is Audiotool, which is also one of the easiest to use. The website has a bright design and offers 13 instruments to choose from. This is a great way to create music online, especially if you're a self-taught musician.
Another popular site is VirtualDJ, which offers basic functions in a browser. It offers a large collection of free samples and virtual synthesizers. You can also add effects to your tracks, which is a neat feature. Although this site is free, the full functionality requires a paid subscription.
Another site to try is Soundation, which offers a free online DAW. It's a music-making website that works on almost any device, including PCs, tablets, smartphones and even your browser. The website features everything you need to create professional-sounding tracks.
Another website to try is Chrome Music Lab, which is a brand new music creation platform. It offers a bright design and introduces harmony and musical concepts. The site also has a row of patterns to choose from.
Another site to try is Soundtrap, which has a unique advantage: you can record tracks, talk to people from around the world and collaborate in real time. You can even save more than five projects at a time. You can also upload your projects to Facebook and other social networks to share with friends.
There are many more websites to try out. You may want to try a more experimental music sound kit such as Patatap, which features unique animations. There are also some websites that you may not have heard of, such as Dot Piano, which records your songs with your computer keyboard. You can even check out the music-making site Ocean, which is great for making beats. You can also try the site Music Grid Piano, which lets you create unique music patterns.
The online music production software industry is still in its infancy. However, the best sites are getting easier to use with each passing year. You can also find websites that offer self-help materials and training videos. The Internet is also a great place to find tips and tricks to improve your productions. Using an online music-making site may be a great way to save time and money.
The Internet also spawned the site Typeatone, which turns text into music. You can even play back a song from your text. It may not be as robust as other music-making sites, but it has a few tricks up its sleeve.
The best part about these websites is that you can learn new techniques by reading the help materials or checking out the forums. Some of the sites even offer free training videos.

Games Workshop declares war on its customers (again)
Tumblr media
There’s a difference between a con-artist and a grifter. A con-artist is just a gabby mugger, and when they vanish with your money, you know you’ve been robbed.
A grifter, on the other hand, is someone who can work the law to declare your stuff to be their stuff, which makes you a lawless cur because your pockets are stuffed full of their money and merely handing it over is the least you can do to make up for your sin.
IP trolls are grifters, not con artists, and that’s by design, a feature of the construction of copyright and trademark law.
Progressives may rail at the term “IP” for its imprecision, but truly, it has a very precise meaning: “‘IP’ is any law that lets me control the conduct of my customers, competitors and critics, such that they must arrange their affairs to my benefit.”
https://locusmag.com/2020/09/cory-doctorow-ip/
In that regard, it is a perfect grifter’s tool — a way to put you on the wrong side of the line for simply living your life in the way that works best for you, not the grifter.
Now, copyright and trademark’s framers were alive to the possibility that they might become this kind of weapon, and they wrote limitations and exceptions into each doctrine that were meant to safeguard the public’s right to free speech and free action.
But those limitations and exceptions are weirdly self-eviscerating. Both trademark and copyright’s limitations assume that they aren’t being weaponized by immoral sociopaths. Both collapse if they are.
Take copyright. Copyright has a suite of limitations and exceptions under various global legal systems, including US law. US law also contains a specific set of exceptions colloquially called “fair use,” a subject of much mystification for lay people.
Under fair use, someone accused of copyright infringement can ask a judge to find that their use of someone else’s copyrighted work is permissible because to deny it would be socially harmful.
The fair use law sets out four factors that judges MAY consider when considering such a claim. Note that these four factors are neither comprehensive (judges can weigh other factors), nor dispositive (failing to satisfy a factor doesn’t disqualify your use from being fair).
If that sounds confusing to you, don’t worry. It is confusing. As the lawyers say, “fair use is fact-intensive.”
The specifics of a use really matter: who’s making the use, what they’re using, why they’re using it, how they use it, and how much they use.
That’s why anyone who claims that “X is never fair use” (for example, commercial fanfic) are full of shit — as are people who say “X is always fair use”).
Commercial fanfic absolutely can be fair use. No less a body than the Supreme Court says so:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wind_Done_Gone
Despite all this ambiguity and nuance, IP grifters who want to force other people to arrange their affairs to their own benefit are laser focused on the four factors, reasoning correctly that if they show a judge that the factors favor them, they’re more likely to prevail.
Half of the four factors are out of the grifter’s reach. As a rightsholder, you can’t control “the purpose and character of the use,” or “the amount and substantiality of the portion used.”
But the other two factors are more readily within the IP wielder’s remit. As someone seeking control a work, you can frame “to the nature of the copyrighted work” by talking up how much creativity and originality went into it, which judges will weigh in your favor.
More importantly — and disturbingly — is the way that an IP holder can influence the fourth factor: “the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.”
Think about that fourth factor for a moment here: if my use of your work doesn’t cost you any money, then it’s more likely that my use is fair.
The corollary: if you can bully some people into paying for something they’ve always gotten for free, then you can claim that the people who refuse to pay are ripping you off — that there is a “market” for the use, and that their failure to pay weakens that market.
This is effectively what’s happened to music sampling. Seminal albums like “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” were produced with thousands of uncleared samples — but at the time, no one was clearing samples.
https://memex.craphound.com/2011/07/08/creative-license-how-the-hell-did-sampling-get-so-screwed-up-and-what-the-hell-do-we-do-about-it/
Had the rightsholders to those samples dragged Public Enemy into court, they wouldn’t have had the fourth factor on their side. No one was paying for samples, so a failure to pay for samples had no “effect on the potential market for the copyrighted work.”
However, in the 33 years since Nation of Millions dropped, paying to license samples has become common practice — and the mere existence of paid samples makes not paying for samples more legally risky.
So say a rightsholder decided to aggressively license simple quotations — as the Associated Press did in 2008, when it offered to sell you a license to a 5-word quotation for a mere $12.50.
http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/010341.html
All other things being equal, a short quotation from a news article is likely to be fair use. But if the AP managed to terrorize enough bloggers into coughing up $12.50 for a 5-word quote, it could create a market for 5-word quotations.
That market would change the fair use argument for people who don’t pay — yes, they’re making a transformative, critical use, but they’re also undermining the market for the copyright, and a judge might find this change tips the scales away from fair use.
Even more importantly, the additional uncertainty might stampede more people into paying $12.50 for a 5-word quote rather than risk a $250,000 statutory damages award for copyright infringement.
The more people who pay for 5-word quotes, the sturdier the market becomes and the riskier it is to rely upon fair use.
The fourth factor looks like an escape valve for uses that harm no one.
But it actually rewards to bullies who intimidate others out of money they don’t actually owe — until they do.
Trademark has a similar gotcha. Trademark is very different from copyright. Fundamentally, trademark is about protecting buyers, not sellers. Trademark meant to help buyers avoid being tricked into buying an inferior product because it was deceptively named or styled.
If you buy a can of Coke, you want the true Black Water of American Imperialism, not an inferior brand of dilute battery-acid.
But if your Coke turns out to be a fake, you might shrug off the harm or balk at the expense of punishing the fast operator who mis-sold you.
So trademark empowers Coke — and other vendors — to punish third parties who trick their customers, acting as their customers’ champions. Trademark doesn’t exist to prevent Coke from losing money to a rival — it exists to help Coke drinkers get what they pay for.
Trademarks can be registered with the USPTO, who nominally weigh trademark applications to ensure that they’re distinctive and original. Practically, examiners are busy, sometimes careless, and ideologically inclined to grant, not deny, claims.
https://memex.craphound.com/2018/06/14/son-of-cocky-a-writer-is-trying-to-trademark-dragon-slayer-for-fantasy-novels/
But you don’t have to register a trademark to assert it. You can threaten or pursue legal action on the grounds that someone has violated an unregistered trademark, which is any distinctive graphic or phrase that is associated with your product.
Registered or unregistered, trademark enforcement primarily comes down to whether a “naive consumer” would be mislead by someone else’s use of a mark. That is, when you bought a Coke-branded sack of chicken feet, did you think it was blessed by the Coca-Cola company?
If there’s no likelihood of confusion, trademark holders struggle to enforce their trademarks.
This standard seems reasonable, but, like the fourth factor in fair use, it has a sting in its tail.
One of the ways you can induce confusion in the public is to gain a reputation for being a litigious bully. Say Coke is known far and wide for clobbering anyone that uses its trademarks, no matter how trivial the use and no matter how bad it made them look.
If Coke is truly notorious for its zero-tolerance policy, that will lead to a widespread public understanding that every time you see Coke’s marks, the use was blessed by a Coke lawyer — meaning a use that might not otherwise be found to be confusing can be made confusing.
“If that was any other company’s trademark, I’d assume that they had nothing to do with it — but since I know Coke has an army of baby-eating attack lawyers who destroy anyone who uses a mark without permission, that must be an authorized use.”
Like fair use’s fourth factor, trademark’s confusion standard rewards the most vicious and uncaring businesspeople with new rights that their more reasonable competitors do not enjoy. IP selects for sociopathy.
Now, IP — in the most sinister sense of the phrase — has pervaded every industry, but the contradictions of IP are felt most keenly in its spawning grounds: the culture industry.
Culture is in tension with the control of ideas, because culture is the spread of ideas.
Creators (and execs) are vulnerable to the pirate/admiral fallacy: “When I take from my forebears, that’s legitimate artistic progress. When my successors do it to me, it’s theft.”
This pathology, combined with ready-to-hand IP weapons, incentivizes all manner of wickedness. Remember when Marvel and DC teamed up in a bid to trademark the word “super-hero” so that no one else would be allowed to use it?
https://memex.craphound.com/2006/03/18/marvel-comics-stealing-our-language/
These perverse incentives are made tragic by the inherently participatory nature of culture.
It’s not merely that Marvel and DC wanted to steal the word “super-hero” right out of our mouths.
It’s that super-heroes are culturally important because of how we take and remix them in our lives. Marvel went on to use the law to stop us from pretending to be superheroes online, something Casey Fiesler called “Pretending Without a License.”
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/277598023_Pretending_Without_a_License_Intellectual_Property_and_Gender_Implications_in_Online_Games
Which brings me, at last, to Games Workshop, a company that has consistently led the IP bully pack, indiscriminately terrorizing the Warhammer 40k fans who made it a massive commercial success.
Warhammer is a strategy/roleplaying game that is played with miniature creatures that players buy, modify and paint. If you’re not familiar with all this, maybe this sounds a bit like toy soldiers.
It’s a lot more interesting — not just because of the game rules or lore, but because of the incredibly, unbelievable, jaw-dropping virtuosity of Warhammer players when they paint and style those miniatures.
There’s a reason I look forward to Saturday morning’s weekly linkdump from Jonathan Struan of the week’s best Warhammer and other RPG miniatures:
https://www.superpunch.net/search?q=warhammer&max-results=20&by-date=true
and why I follow incredible painters like Aurelie Schick:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/110246635@N06
Warhammer is intrinsically participatory, co-creative and active — it’s not media you consume, it’s media you produce.
Games Workshop has become fantastically rich off of this…and they hate it, and they always have.
For years they’ve pursued fans for producing their own fan-made supplements and additions to the game:
https://www.lumendatabase.org/notices/99301
The more Warhammer players complained about the indiscriminate censorship of their fan media, the harder GW cracked down on them, wiping out whole genres of creative work:
https://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48933/games-workshop-files-purge-09
GW claimed it was only defending its rights, the grifter’s signature move, making you a crook for having the audacity not to put their shareholders’ interests ahead of your own.
Then Games Workshop claimed a trademark on “space marine,” a generic term that had been widely used in science fiction for decades, including, notably, in Heinlein’s classic “Starship Troopers” (1959).
https://web.archive.org/web/20130207002144/http://mcahogarth.org/?p=10593
They didn’t just go after RPGs that used the phrase — they used trademark claims to remove novels from Amazon for having the phrase in their titles.
“Space marine” is a generic phrase, but GW was betting if they were sufficiently, spectacularly brutal in their enforcement, they could create a proprietary interest: “Now, I know GW destroys anyone who uses ‘space marine,’ so this ‘space marine’ must be endorsed by GW.”
GW just launched a new set of terms of service, including: “individuals must not create fan films or animations based on our settings and characters. These are only to be created under licence from Games Workshop.”
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-WW/Intellectual-Property-Guidelines
Now, this isn’t how copyright works. There are many ways in which a fan film or animation could be fair use, no matter whether GW forbids or permits their production. But this isn’t mere overreach: it’s a direct play against the fourth factor in fair use.
If GW can establish that all animations and vids are produced under paid license, then any fanvid that doesn’t pay for a license has a weaker fair use case, because the fourth factor protects existing licensing markets.
Indeed, as Rob Beschizza points out on Boing Boing, GW timed the terms of service change to coincide with the announcement that they’re launching a subscription service including “cartoons, in-house hobby videos, access to a vault of ebooks and mags.”
https://www.pcgamer.com/now-even-warhammer-has-a-subscription-service/
This is bullying with a business-model, in other words. Fans have figured out how to have fun with each other for free, and GW wants them to stop and pay the company for its in-house version of that fun.
Warhammer creators are demoralized and disheartened. The creator of the hugely successful Oculus Imperia Youtube series posted a heart-rending message of surrender.
https://twitter.com/OculusImperia/status/1421136444437970949
Oculus Imperia also edits “If The Emperor Had A Text To Speech Device,” (TTS) another beloved Warhammer fan series. Alfabusa from TTS posted his own absolutely demoralized goodbye to his work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXljeaktnDA
Ironically, both channels would have a stronger fair use case if they mocked and criticized Warhammer, rather than celebrating it, as fair use tips favorably towards critical uses.
The fact is, they love their hobby and its community and they want to improve it, not tear it down.
Neither wants to get dragged into a brutal copyright case against a deep-pocketed corporation. Even people with great fair use cases balk at that:
https://waxy.org/2011/06/kind_of_screwed/
Now, some people might be thinking, what’s the big deal? Why don’t these creators just make up their own stories instead of remixing the ones that come from Games Workshop?
Those people are assholes.
*All* stories are fanfic of some kind or another. Every mystery novel is a remix of Poe’s Murders In the Rue Morgue. Games Workshop’s stories are the thrice-brewed teabags of many sf writers (remember “space marines?”).
Tolkien straight up ripped off his characters from the 1000-year-old Norse poem “Elder Edda,” which features dwarves named “Thorin, Balin, Dwalin, Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Nori, Dori, Ori, Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur.”
https://musingsofatolkienist.blogspot.com/2015/07/hobbit-origins-catalog-of-dwarves.html
Culture is made of other culture.
GW made something wonderful with Warhammer — by plundering the stories that preceded it.
The sin isn’t in the taking, it’s in the pretense that it never happened, and the vicious grifting that punishes anyone who does unto GW as they did unto everyone else.

The Rise and Fall of Bon Appetit
Tumblr media
Sometimes life comes at you fast.  Sometimes, that means stories in the food industry break in such rapid succession that you have no time to blink in between.  Sometimes, it means someone found out about something racist you did a few years ago.  What happens when it’s both?  Ask the fine folks at Bon Appetit.
In recent years, Bon Appetit made a name for itself, rising from the ashes of dying print media, through its Youtube channel featuring a diverse cast of personalities.  But over the course of this past week, many of the publication’s executives have been found to foster a toxic workplace culture, rife with racism, sexism and homophobia.
Before I get too deep (because this is going to be a long one), I feel the need to point out that while this story’s breaking happened to coincide with Black Lives Matter protests across the country and gained traction from people’s outrage towards inequality, the events that have unfolded should not be blamed on “cancel culture,” “political correctness run amok” or any other reactionary dismissal of critical thinking.  Adam Rapoport didn’t lose his job because Black Lives Matter, Black Lives Matter came to be because of the damage that many in positions of power like Rapoport have done in both mainstream media and society as a whole.
[Also, yes, there are going to be a lot of links to Instagram posts that have been screenshotted and uploaded to Twitter.  Clearly the real takeaway from this debacle is that I need to get an Instagram account.  Also also, thanks to Tumblr’s new rules about offsite links, you’ll have to go to my main site for the full receipts.]
Preamble
Shortly after the killing of George Floyd, Adam Rapoport, Editor-in-Chief at Bon Appetit, wrote an editorial highlighting some of the coverage they’ve given to black chefs.  Many criticized this as being superficial and performative, with others saying that BA has, on numerous occasions, shut down articles relating to black culture for not being “trendy” enough or otherwise was discriminatory towards black employees. (Also, the repeated use of “uprisings” instead of “protests” seems a little suspicious.)
Tumblr media
An article from Eater criticized the role BA played in the appropriating and whitewashing of many cultures’ ingredients and cuisines (gochujang, Aleppo pepper, and sumac seem to be some of BA’s favorite ingredients) that had become prevalent in food media in recent years.
While it’s a fairly minor offense in comparison, it may also be worth bringing up the time Rapoport accidentally called Priya Krishna “Sohla,” the name of his other Indian employee.
Monday, June 8th
Food writer Tammie Teclemariam posted a screencap of an Instagram post made by Rapoport’s wife, which depicted the two of them donning Puerto Rican stereotypes as Halloween costumes, brownface and all.
Tumblr media
Many were quick to declare their outrage and demand that Rapoport either resign or be fired.  Meanwhile, Sohla El-Waylly, one of the leading stars of the Youtube channel, was one of the first BA employees to speak up, and disclosed that this kind of behavior was just the tip of the iceberg.  She said that BIPOC workers have been paid disproportionately for their work, including not being paid a per-video commission that the white stars of the Youtube channel receive.
Tumblr media
Molly Baz, one of the aforementioned white stars, announced that she would no longer make videos for BA until all of El-Waylly’s demands were met.  One by one, their white coworkers chimed in in agreement.
Tumblr media
Former staff photographer Alex Lau also wrote an extensive tweet thread about his experiences at BA, including how he had futilely tried to fix the system from within.
Tumblr media
By the end of Monday, Adam Rapoport had resigned from his position as Editor-in-Chief.
Tuesday, June 9th
Since Rapoport’s official resignation did little to fix many of the systemic problems in place at BA, many began to turn their attention to other senior members of the staff.
Some came for Andrew Knowlton, the Restaurant Editor, for behaviors such as gaslighting an employee for trying to bring up racist practices in the offices.
Tumblr media
Others called out Matthew Duckor, a VP at Conde Nast and BA’s former “Head of Video” (Did a 3 year old come up with that job title?), for a series of old racist and homophobic tweets.  He tried to apologize by saying that he was young and didn’t know any better at the time, but many were quick to point out that he was, at the youngest, 20, aka for all intents and purposes An Adult when he wrote those tweets.
Tumblr media
Tammie Teclemariam returned to ask current and former BA employees to DM her information about Duckor that they didn’t want to go public with themselves, ranging from his hand in the aforementioned pay disparity to making inappropriate comments towards women.
Tumblr media
Teclemariam also did even more social media muckraking and found that Drinks Editor Alex Delany had once decorated a cake to look like a Confederate flag, while others found things like a Vine where he says the f-slur and some questionable comments about women on this Tumblr.  He later deleted his Tumblr and Twitter, and issued a cookie-cutter apology on his Instagram.
Tumblr media
She also vague-tweeted that Brad Leone, one of the most beloved stars of the Youtube channel, is “possibly not a great guy,” but later added, “don’t fret.” At that point, some began to accuse her of just trying to stir the pot.
Tumblr media
Ultimately, Matt Hunziker, director and camera operator for Leone’s show, reported that the higher ups were ignoring the situation regarding the pay disparity, and that they were not “learning and growing.”
Tumblr media
Wednesday, June 10th
By this point, journalists were able to do more thorough investigations and put together exposés that were more than a blurb about an accusation followed by a nut graph.
Business Insider published an article where they interviewed 14 current and former BIPOC employees of Bon Appetit.  In addition to information already discussed above, it also described events such as an incident where several BIPOC staffers were told they weren’t allowed the test kitchen. (Carla Lalli Music, the Food Director at the time, would later defend her stance in the affair on Twitter.)  Ryan Walker-Hartshorn, a black woman who served as Rapoport’s personal assistant, recalled that she would often spend her day doing menial tasks like polishing her boss’s golf clubs or trying to teach his wife how to use Google Calendar.  In another incident, Knolton called Rick Martinez a “one trick pony” for only developing Mexican recipes, which is what he was being forced to do so BA could tout “diversity” bonus points.  Martinez would also say that the magazine under Rapoport’s tenure “went from old and irrelevant and white-washed content to young and trendy white-washed content." (Martinez would also upload a more graphic description of the treatment he received  to his Instagram that same day.) Later that day, Business Insider would also report that Duckor had left the company.
Vice would liken Rapoport to Michael Scott from The Office, but noted that that kind of bumbling, endearingly insensitive bad boss archetype isn’t as charming in the real world where real employees are being affected.  Parallels were also drawn between the Youtube channel and The Office itself, stating that the “quirky workplace” facade put on in the videos helped hide the more sinister practices that lurked beneath the surface, and that the notion that they were “one big family” often pressured BIPOC into doing more than their fair share for the greater good.
Jezebel showed email transcripts where Rapoport argued the semantics of having his costume be called “brownface” when he wasn’t wearing makeup, and had to be explained to, like a child, that the term refers to the racist caricature and not the literal act of putting brown makeup on one’s face.  What a douche.
Bon Appetit published an official apology on their site, a whole two days after the controversy began.  Many believed that their empty promises of “learning from their mistakes” were a day late and a dollar short.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, former BA writer Alyse Whitney said that senior editor Andy Baraghani had, on several occasions, used his influence to undermine her efforts. Whether this had to do with racism, sexism, or just Andy being petty is up for debate, but still constitutes as unprofessional behavior to say the least.
Tumblr media
Thursday, June 11th
As interest in the story seemed to wane for many in the industry, Claire Saffitz, arguably the face of the Youtube channel, released another statement on her Instagram.  She said that her relative silence was due to taking time to find the right words, and that the same-old promises to “learn and grow” that most had been giving felt empty and performative. Unlike many of her white coworkers, she directly apologized for being complicit in the toxic environment  and for not using her status to try to leverage even pay for her BIPOC coworkers.
Another BA Youtube personality, Amiel Stanek, also released a statement in response to BA’s official press release, where he demanded Conde Nast to stop avoiding action by setting vague timelines for changes or making excuses for not giving BIPOC workers raises like “the money just isn’t there.”
Associate editor Christina Chaey also opened up about her experiences with being pushed into more and more videos to “diversify” them- all without compensation.
Friday, June 12th
The biggest scandal of the day was that, as Teclemariam predicted, Brad Leone is possibly not a great guy.  A leaked screenshot of an Instagram DM showed him making callous, almost Trump-y comments regarding El-Waylly’s demand for better pay.  He also allegedly said that if Delany were to be fired (as of that day he had been sent on leave), he would quit.
Tumblr media
Saturday, June 13th
The New York Times published an article suggesting that the issues prevalent in BA’s management may go all the way to the top of Conde Nast.  Highlights include Chief Executive Roger Lynch chastising the whistleblowers within the company for raising their concerns in such a public manner and an account of an incident where he gave his black assistant a guidebook on how to speak “proper” English.
The Sporkful released a special episode of their podcast containing interviews with several current and former BA BIPOC workers.  Nikita Richardson divulged that after she was laid off, a story she had already done all the leg work for was picked up and credited to Amanda Shapiro, a white staff writer who is now acting Editor-in-Chief in lieu of Rapoport.  Sohla El-Waylly confirmed that the self-congratulatory editorial Rapoport wrote in the wake of George Floyd’s death was the real beginning of the end, and that the racist photo was just the final straw.  She also described a company-wide Zoom meeting held after the photo began to be spread around where Rapoport issued a half-hearted apology, and began talking about how he would “fix the brand” before El-Waylly demanded he resigned.  Furthermore, she revealed that after her Instagram posts began circulating rapidly, Duckor had offered her a new contract with increased pay, but she is refusing to sign it until all BIPOC have received similar compensation.  She also said that she had a hand in the wishy-washy statement that BA had published on Wednesday, and said that it originally had taken much firmer stances on the issues but their PR office made them tone it down.  Also, she commented that Leone, for the most part, just seemed like she “genuinely think[s] [that he] just found out racism is real.”  Ultimately, she was glad that the story was getting as much coverage as it was, since it made her feel that her voice was finally being heard.
Sunday, June 14th
Baraghani released a statement on Instagram apologizing for his behavior, saying that trying to achieve his personal goals in BA’s toxic, competitive environment made him lose sight of solidarity with his fellow BIPOC.
While that may seem like the end of the story for now, it’s important to note that, even with the resignation of two executives, nothing has truly been done to fix the systemic problems at hand.

So, I was going to make this list on National Indigenous Peoples’ day but I held off for two reasons: firstly we shouldn’t have to wait for special occasions to talk about Indigenous experiences and Indigenous issues but also because Canada Day was right around the corner. Canada is a settler-colonial state and while for many non-native peoples Canada day celebrates a seemingly proud history of freedoms and equality and innovation, for many indigenous peoples across so-called-Canada it is an uncomfortable, and even painful, reminder of a violent history of oppression and a continued struggle against settler-colonialism. So instead of taking July 1st to dwell on Canada’s questionable past take the time to consider Canada’s future and how we can work to undo the settler-colonial structure currently in place. So many people really don’t know where to start with undoing this country’s colonial legacy, so I’ve compiled a list (which is by no means exhaustive) of resources to start with
So please, as Canada day does look a little different this year, maybe start a new tradition of education and/or appreciation of Indigenous Peoples’ and our history on this territory as well as are contemporary experiences here. Also if you are not Canadian you can take some time to look at these or spread these resources (colonialism is not just a Canadian issues, it is a global one).
Documentaries:
Angry Inuk (Dir. Alethena Arnaquq-Baril, 2016) - Can be found on Youtube. Examines the importance of sealing to the Inuit and their struggle to continue their ways of life against colonialism by both the Canadian state, private oil/fracking companies, and even the EU’s anti-sealing laws. Watch if you’re interested in food sovereignty and protecting traditional ways of life.
Rumble: the Indian’s Who Rocked the World (Dir. Catherine Bainbridge, 2017) - Can be rented on Prime. Examines the role of Indigenous peoples in the Canadian and American music industry between the 1950s - present and what struggles they faced. Watch if you’re interested in music history and Indigenous representation.
First Contact, S1 + 2 (Dir, Jeff Newman, 2018 - ) -  Can be found on APTN and TVO. A 3 part series that asks average Canadians to confront their biases about Indigenous Peoples. This is a very important watch for non-Indigenous peoples. TW: strong anti-indigenous racism in some parts. Watch if you’re interested in how racism and settler colonialism are enacted by everyday people and where common stereotypes come from.
Canada’s Toxic Chemical Valley (Dir, Patrick Macguire, 2013) - Can be found on Youtube. Looks at the history of environmental racism in Sarnia, Ontario and its affects on the people of Aamjiwnaang Reservation. Watch if your are interested in environmental justice and land rights.
Reel Injun (Neil Diamond, 2009) - Can be found Prime. Looks at the history on Indigenous representation in old Hollywood and its evolution since then. Watch if you’re interested in Indigenous representation and film history.
Searching for Winnetou: Drew Hayden Taylor Wants to Understand the Roots of the German Obsession with Native North Americans (Drew Hayden Taylor, 2018) - Can be found on Youtube. Traces the roots of Germany’s cultural obsession with the “Indians” and looks at the modern appropriation of Indigenous culture in Germany. watch if you’re interested in Cultural Appropriation and stereotypes and Europe’s role in this.
Canada’s Darkest Secret (Rania El Rafael, 2017) - Can be found on Youtube. Looks at the long and violent history of the residential schools system in Canada which ran from the mid-1800s - 1996 and how it continues to affect Indigenous communities. TW: child abuse and sexual abuse and trauma. Watch if you’re interested in assimilation, inter-generational trauma, and the modern history of Indigenous-settler relations. residential schools are the source of so many issues within modern Indigenous communities and so understanding their history and impacts is a good way of understanding why Indigenous people have the struggles we do today.
Trick or Treaty (Alanis Obomsawin, 2014) - Can be found on Youtube. Looks at the history and mishandling of treaty relations and where that leaves modern Indigenous-settler relationships. Canada has not held up a single treaty. Watch if you’re interested in treaty rights, land rights, diplomacy, and the history of Treaties.
Seachers: Highway of Tears (Dir. Stephanie Brown, Allya Davidson, 2016). Can be found on youtube and Netflix Canada. While not entirely Indigenous-centric, this documentary looks at the 71 km stretch know as the Highway of Tears where hundreds of Indigenous women have gone missing. It is not the best documentry in my opinion but its a good start to understanding the MMIDWG mov’t and how the RCMP fails indigenous women and girls. TW: murder, sexual assault and violence, violence against women and girls. Watch if you want to understand Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Arts and Culture:
Biidaaban/ the Dawn Comes (Amanda Strong, 2018). Can be found on Youtube. A claymation short film that examines an Urban Indigenous woman’s relationship to her land.
The Mishomis Book: the Voice of the Obijway (Edward Benton-Banai, 2010). Can be bought at most book stores. An introduction to Anishinaabe culture and history on Turtle Island through stories and colouring-pages. Read if you’re trying to diversify you’re understanding of Canadian culture and history. This is also a great book for kids, especially Indigenous children.
Indian Horse (Richard wagamese) - This is both a film and a book, both of which are amazing. The story follows an Anishinaabe Residential school survive as he uses hockey to cope with his trauma. TW: Abuse, Child Sexual Abuse, Violence and Anti-Indigenous Racism.
Sgaawaay K’uuna/Edge of the Knife (Helen Haig-Brown, Gwaai Edenshaw, 2018) - The first film done entirely in Haadi-Gwaii (and I believe any Indigenous language), Sgaawaay K’uuna follows the struggle of a cursed man and his transformation into a wild man (Gaadiig). Based heavily in Kwakwaka’wakw and Haida folklore and oral history. watch if you’re interested in Historical reclamation, Indigenous oral history and Indigenous film.
Kent Monkman - A Cree painter who often inserts Indigenous bodies, culture and sexuality into traditionally European styles (ex, the History Painting).
To The Indigenous Woman (the 1491′s, 2011) - Can be found on Youtube. A spoken poem about violence against Indigenous women and the complacency of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals in this epidemic of violence. TW: Violence against women, Sexual assault, rape.
Bad Indians (Ryan red Corn, 2011) - Can be found on Youtube. A spoken word poem about the way Non-Indigenous peoples view Indigenous peoples and our work to reclaim our voice and power on this land. TW: references to racism and genocide.
This is just the tip of the Iceberg so if you do find this interesting/ eye opening and want more information, I can 100% provide more resources. But hopefully, these documentaries can help to educate non-Indigenous peoples about the history and contemporary experiences of Indigenous People’s on Turtle Island. Gii’Miigwetch (thank you).

now joining the infinite k-tour is nam kiyeon! the 23 year old is onboard as the stylist of the group braveheart. don’t he/they kind of look like jung wooyoung?
hi everyone! i’m noir (they/them, 18+) but you can also call me any other name you might know me by hehe. i’ve been getting overwhelmed easily lately, so i’m v sorry if i’m slow to respond, but pls do like this post if you’d like me to reach out to you for plots/hellos and i will :D! below the cut u can find an intro to my little metal horror meow meow ☼
+ bio
younger of two kids, idolizes his sister kieun who’s three years older. when their parents separated, she basically gave up her own dreams of studying art to hold the family together, and kiyeon’s never stopped feeling indebted to her since. now he just wants to make sure that everything she sacrificed isn’t wasted on him
has an associate’s degree in cosmetology and would’ve liked to do more, but his parents were paying for school and they weren’t exactly big fans of his dreams -_- it sufficed tho
joined braveheart’s creative team in late 2018. he never thought he’d work for this industry but someone inspired him that year to go for it (which is an open connection if anyone’s interested!)
wanted to go into special effects makeup and wardrobe, but he’s gotten rly fond of braveheart and working for them over the last four years, so he’s happy to stay for now and maintain his hobbies on the side :I
+ profile
have u ever tried to scream into a bottle or a mason jar. that’s basically kiyeon’s vibe
saw his first horror movie at 13 and it consumed his entire personality, rip. he finds them therapeutic to watch and scream with
loves believing in all kinds of things like magic and the supernatural and monsters and crystals and love. honestly he’s kind of gullible for it, but he thinks it’s fun, so if you have definitive proof that mothra doesn’t exist then he doesn’t want 2 see it
both a hopeless romantic & horror enthusiast and loves blurring them together
it definitely bleeds into his styling choices too, though a lot of his ideas probs get shot down by management because they’re a little ?%?%?. by now, he’s gotten a good handle of what the mainstream “standard” is, but he’s always Yearning to push the boundaries a little. u can see more about the stuff he likes and is inspired by here!
pretty tame and relaxed to be around, but when it comes to work, he’s StressStressStressStress
he has a lil youtube channel on the side called THE_HORROR! he gives lil tips & tricks on special effects makeup and how he molds his own prosthetics. he also gives people horror-inspired makeovers, and that ranges from beauty makeup to turning your muse into the swamp monster. he has like 209 subscribers, it’s getting p serious.
likes maintaining his privacy, so he’s as vague about his real job as he can be. occasionally he gets a guest that raises a few eyebrows but he’s always just like Well I guess I’m just lucky! and he comes off ditzy enough that ppl believe it lmao
he’s pretty similar irl, kind of quiet with a dash of organized chaos. will say things that sound wise or mysterious but there is always a ninety percent chance he doesn’t know wtf he’s talking about either.
+ plots - more developed stuff here, but quick ideas:
you can see his plots page for a lil more on this, but basically someone from a group who his older sister rly, rly likes and wants, like, signed merch from. kiyeon would do anything for her, but he feels %%%% about just asking your muse for it, so lately he’s been trying to learn more about your muse/their music so he doesn’t look like a poser 😭
fellow horror movie junkies pls. maybe someone who doesn’t really like going out that often either but they also don’t want to just stare at the hotel walls, so instead they scare each other shitless w/ various horror movies in their downtimes LMAO

hi there! I love ur amvs!! have you ever talked about what programs u use or tips & tricks u have or something? I know some creators have posts like that but I wasn’t able to find any on ur blog. and no worries if u don’t have anything like that, either way, lovely stuff uve made<3<3
hii thank you so much!!!! i've never posted anything about it, but i'm happy to share! :) below the cut, since it's long, is a list of what i use to edit, and some tips&tricks. everything i use is free and accessible (and linked below) & if u want further explanation on anything lemme know <3
what i use:
i screen record off netflix using a combination of the mac screen record thing, which captures just video, and the app screenflick, which also records audio. however the free version has a huge watermark on it so that's why i have to use both. (otherwise it's one payment of $35, so i'm considering it and doing away with mac screen record.) if i make a video from just one episode i'll try to find a torrent for it but that usually doesn't go well. i haven't checked out this resource yet but i think you can download spn episodes here.
i edit on davinci resolve which is the closest thing i can get to adobe premiere (i used to use adobe for school so i like it).
i recently started using the website moises for when there's background noise or music in a scene with good dialogue i want to use. it's free for 5 tracks a month, 4 minute limit each. however it's only $3.33 a month for unlimited uploads with a 20 minute limit, so personally i'm willing to pay for that since i use it so much. (if anyone can't pay for it and wants some background noise removed, send me what you want and i can do it for you)
other great resources are things like spn wiki, or even gifsets, to track down like, the perfect shot of dean eating a hamburger or a good long shot to include scenery.
tips & tricks/process:
color code your clips and use markers. it helps to visualize my project as a whole and stay organized. i color code based on lots of things: episodes, themes, if there are people in the shot, if there are weapons in the shot, etc. i use markers to mark where sections of the song begin, or where in the timeline of the show this part of the song should lead up to, etc.
utilize the beat AND lyrics of the song. an easy way to make an amv feel more cohesive and put together is to time it to the beat or rhythm of the lyrics of the song. making clips mirror what the lyrics say is also really effective, even though it's passe in the music video industry.
color correct. even as little as adjusting the temperature or brightness/contrast. also good to sharpen clips, but not by much. more intensive color correction for me involves creating color palettes based on the feeling of the song, and blending them onto the video layer (soft light, multiply, overlay, etc). i also duplicate the layer and color pick from the shot and desaturate everything, blend that down as well
organize/plan ahead. once i decide on a song, i'll listen to it for awhile and read the lyrics as i brainstorm and think abt the concept to help associate images and think of a story. usually i add clips to the lyrics of the song first and then fill in the empty space.
don't be afraid to edit the song itself. don't feel like you have to do the song in its entirety. you can always make it shorter, one verse or chorus if you want, or just cutting a bridge of the song out. one of my early drafts of this involved duplicating one of the memoria's to add five seconds but by the end i cut that and also cut an additional five seconds from the solo
add sound bites. if you can have dialogue peppered throughout or even at the beginning of the video, it feels higher quality. also utilizing sound effects in the show (gunshots, keys turning in locks, etc) is fun, but make sure they don't have background music
the rest is tiny finicky adjustments to both the visuals and the audio, and it takes me 3-4 drafts before i'm fully satisfied with the video lmao!
bonus: if i'm not directly inspired by a song, i look at my playlist of songs i think would make good videos, but if nothing there inspires me i'll just find a song in my playlist for that character or relationship
if u want more detail on anything i mentioned, or something else i haven't, feel free to ask! hope this was helpful! & i super appreciate the love <3

Ricciardo tackles mental health with Renault UK Mental Health Champions
Why did you speak with Renault UK’s Mental Health Champions?
I feel it’s an important subject and everyone needs to speak up about mental health and feel happy to do so. It’s prevalent in all walks of life and it’s all about sharing experiences and knowledge. The discussion with Renault UK’s Mental Health Champions is a perfect example of this and that you don’t necessarily need to know each other to talk openly and confidently about the topic.
When on the track, do you use any tips or tricks from everyday life that help your mindset or focus?
I like to listen to music to help alleviate stress both at and away from the track. I find I can relate to the lyrics of certain songs and they sort of speak to you, which I enjoy. I also think it’s very important to be able to switch off and things like music help me to do that. In my job as a racing driver it can be easy to not switch off.
The night before a race can be tricky for this, as you’ve had all that adrenaline going around for qualifying. To combat this, what I find helps is knowing within myself that if I’ve prepared the best I can, then it shouldn’t be occupying my mind during my rest time.
Something else I find very useful at the track is getting away from your work and taking a break, whether it’s something simple like a five-minute time-out or spending some time in your own head space listening to music. For me this helps reset the mind and means I can have a clearer thought process.
How has F1® and sports in general helped you and your experiences of your own mental health?
In my job there are so many variables and that alone will create stress. For example, even after a good qualifying session it quickly shifts, and you can easily start experiencing doubts about how the race will go. In order to remove these doubts and added stress factors, you have to acknowledge these thoughts and then take action, which for me might be sharing thoughts or having a conversation with the team or engineers.
Maintaining good levels of fitness is also important for me and helps me deal with stress. I think lockdown could have so easily gone the other way with me stopping exercise and training, but I didn’t and by maintaining a good fitness programme I felt mentally good during the break and still do now. It’s at a point now that I think even when I finish racing, I’ll still keep this level of fitness up as it really helps me.
What did you find valuable about talking to Renault UK’s Mental Health Champions? What did you learn?
We were all strangers to one another before this chat and the fact is, we were still able to discuss the topic of mental health so openly. It’s widened my eyes to think if we can do this with people who are strangers to us initially, then imagine what we can do for our nearest and dearest.
I work in a fast-paced, high pressured environment and so do many others, but I think no matter the job, the industry or your experience level, managing stress and mental health is important across the board. I hope by us talking about this it can lead to others doing the same and not feeling any guilt or shame about talking it out.
Everyone is different, but is there anything you would suggest someone can do to promote or achieve more positive state of mental health?
Nobody really knows what the other person is going through and it’s important to not judge a book by its cover. What you can do is make sure that you are always there for someone and most importantly listen. Being a good listener is key. And, being patient, as you might have the answers that they might not have found yet. Another important thing is to have perspective too. I make sure to bring perspective into my thought process regularly and can do this by remembering all the positives. For example, focusing on the positives of why I love my job, it’s my dream job after all. It’s important to be able to remind yourself of things like this and not lose sight of why you are doing it just because something stressful has happened. (X)

Below are the fitness tips for women that prepare them well towards physical exercises and workouts.
Exercise for fitness gives you a healthy life
Exercise for fitness gives you a healthy life
We can’t change that fact, but what we can do is simply be the healthiest versions of ourselves possible by exercising through these tips:
Women’s bones are prone to become weaker and more fragile as soon as they step in their thirties. It is crucial that they take special care of their bones, and try to include more calcium in their diet.
Paying attention to your diet, and never skip meals in the hope of losing weight quickly. IT DOES NOT WORK.
Include iron and folic acids in your diet for better blood circulation, by consuming more green leafy vegetables, beans, juices, chicken, etc.
Hook on to cardio, either by joining a gym or simply jogging or climbing stairs. Any kind of cardio is good for you.
Get some ‘me time’, to replenish your energy and recharge your mind and body. Read a book, go out for a stroll, or listen to soothing music. Whatever makes you feel relaxed.
Cut down on the booze, as it has never done well to either of the sexes. Women are recommended not to consume more than 14 units of alcohol a week (depending on the strength of the liquor).
