#okay in all seriousness though i fucking loved it #hands down favorite episode was earth rake #but also contending is stockiverse and.. Bouillabaisse..#i really love how family focused this season is. dont get me started on tervo. i love how much nicer everyone is to each other #except for them really juicing up korvo’s bitchiness in super gooblers (which i guess was meant to push jesse into her confrontation)#speaking of korvo his voice was a delight this season. just so expressive and is now up there with the rest of the casts distinct voices #i guess trying to ease back into finales that end with a season reset #and why didnt pupa change color??#overall it was pretty fucking great. had black spots in my vision during the invisible kitchen scene #tervo this season was fucking crazy my god what are they gonna do for the valentine special #UGHHH. they really keep raising the bar every season. SOOOO GOOD #this isn’t a very In Depth discussion of my thoughts sorry i need to spend more time in this seasons nooks and crannies #ooh ohh and the replicants this season were so cute too. THEY GREW TOGETHERRR #i liked the shlorp lore and little peeks into their past too #anyways i got sidetracked yeah amazing season #I FORGOT TO MENTION THE ANIMATION #THE ANIMATION THIS SEASON WAS BONKERS DUDE. LOVED HOW FLUID IT WAS AND ALL THE FUN NEW EXPRESSIONS THE SOLARS HAD #THAT SCENE OF THEM SAYING DEENOSAUR WAS LIKE MY FAVORITE EXAMPLE #gonna keep adding as i remember things im glad they wanted to explore jesses character more #but i dont like how they jeopardized korvos character for them to get there #kinda made him backtrack his progress for the sake of that episode :/ just a really big shift i wasnt a fan of #and they didnt make him feel remorse that whole episode either he didnt even say sorry :/#also terry was just chill with chris that whole episode? have we just moved past the hall of betrayals thing?#i guess jesse’s roast about him being sky blue really just set him off for the rest of the season #he needs to talk to someone professional #i feel like solars is a really weird blend of being umm. I think of all the approximate categories of animal, fish are unbeatable in terms of how much it would suck ass to be one. you’re basically the most edible creature on god’s earth and literally everything else wants in on that. like yeah everything eats everything but at least if you’re a bird that lives in the sky you mainly just have to worry about being eaten by other things that are in the sky, but fish? other fish are only the beginning of your problems. not only does everything in the ocean that’s bigger than you want to eat you, so do most things on land given half a chance. there are things in the sky that evolved specifically to come all the way down just to eat you. and you don’t even have arms to punch any of them with you just kinda have to sit there going :o as you’re carried away into the beyond. you have no limbs at all, in fact, so if you ever leave the water you can’t even get back to it like, if something that’s not supposed to be in the water gets in the water it can at least try to swim to shore and get out, but fish are just like “guess I’ll die.” pour one out for fish. they did not ask for this.

#I live on this little inlet that at low tide pretty much becomes a mud flat with a small stream going through the middle #and every day at low tide at this time of year a bunch of salmon get stranded in that stream #and I have to watch them desperately try and thrash their way to deeper water while halfway out of the stream as the sun beats down on them #and seagulls crowd around waiting for them to get tired enough to eat them without too much resistance #and every day I root for them even though unlike them I can see how far the inlet goes and I know they'll never make it #it's existentially horrifying but I too tried to get out there to eat one before I realized I couldn't traverse the mud #and also had no place/means to effectively clean a huge fish #to be clear I wasn't gonna just wade out there and bite into one like smeagol I was gonna bring it back and cook it #I mean I love me some raw salmon but parasites and all that #but as bad as I feel for the slow and agonizing deaths happening every day out there #I am also pained by the fact that the most delicious animal on earth throws itself on my doorstep to die every day #and I can't quite get to it #I feel no guilt over this because I would frankly give any salmon I caught a much more merciful death than the seagulls and sun do

#testing out tumblr's new 30 pic limit with this one! ;D #there are 22 unmaskings here! :o #it's not every single one but it's still a lot! :o #this took 2 HOURS to make last night! :o #and today i added the full 'phantom heart' one (i had a google preview placeholder) and the graphic novel/canary trainer screenshots #so much time but it was worth it!#i used gifs from google to speed things up and had to make the rest myself #i made the 83 62 night gallery paradise 89 animated and mini series ones #i even whipped out the mini series dvd for it! ;D #i also took out some frames of the staller one so that's a half and half ;)#i had to condense the book and rewrite's unmaskings since they're long (especially the book!)#i took out the rewrite's face description since you can see it pretty clearly ;)#the most interesting one is 'canary trainer' since the unmasking isn't done by christine or the phantom... but sherlock holmes! ;D #62 is the lamest since he shows it for just a few seconds before dying #the animated one and 'song at midnight' are the funniest for the sounds #the book musical and 1925 versions are the most iconic (and the rewrite for me!)#the best ones for me are 1925 and 'ghost'#1925 for how quick and surprising it is and 'ghost' for how groundbreaking it is!#she doesn't pressure him and besides the reveal there's no horror to be found!#and instead of anger and fear there's sadness and comfort #instead of shocking moment it's a beautiful one :')#all of them are great in their own ways! :D #it's so neat seeing them all together! :D

I NEEED to go back to making art that makes it ABUNDANTLY clear that theres something wrong with my brain BUT NOT in a cool or stylishly interesting way. i need to do it in a way that makes people say "hm." and walk away

#sowwy ive been kinda going through it in my fine arts major rn can u tell HJKSDHKFd #ive been feeling like. scared. and paralyzed by marketability and branding.#i cant stop thinking about how other people will see my art. but not like in a good way #when i was younger i thought about it in a good way. like hee hee hoo hoo the act of looking connected us hee hee #but rn i keep thinking about it in like this wretched like consumer product mindset? ouhhghhhhh el problema es el capitalismo #and like maybe this works for some people. to think like this. to make art like this. its what my professors push me towards #not intentionally. they dont say it out loud at least. im not sure if they know or not some of the irony #my professors are nice and pretty smart and talented and i like em. but sometimes i wonder like. the push for us as students to make like #marketable 'avant garde'? stuff thats safe but pretending to be weird and out there #i dont mean to sound pretentious. in general i play it too safe myself (spent too much time as an edgy 10 year old with my #parents freaking out over my shoulder because they think the fact that i drew an anime character frowning means something serious LOL)#but i dunno man. my least interesting art with the least amount of care thought or effort always gets so much more attention in school #nowhere else oddly. online? people like my more passionate but seemingly frivolous art (oc art etc. not frivolous to me but yknow how it is #same with irl artists and other industry people outside my school. whats going on in my school LOL #i know from experience i cant push myself into a supposedly marketable brand. if i try to make something sell it will not.#i dont know why. maybe theres an invisible essence buyers can tell when i didnt care jkfsldjdfrds #but my teachers LOOOOVE the stuff i put no passion in its so bizarre orz but i gotta relearn how to ignore half of their advice #i used to be better at it. but i also only used to ignore like a quarter of their advice. maybe i need to amp up how much im ignoring #that sounds mean. they have plenty of good advice. but also plenty of advice thats clouded by their own biases #and i gotta relearn how to sort out this stuff again. i forget every few months for some reason #you know i always think ouuhhhhh i act so neurotypical ouhhhhhhhhh im outgoing i talk to strangers all the time i seem confident #im so masked IM SO MASKED but then i go a couple weeks where every conversation i have has people looking at me like #i have two heads and neither of them are speaking their language. and then i descend into madness like this HJKLDSHJDS #i'll be fine i'll figure it out. i need to stop trying to get a good grade in being a 'cutting edge' conventional artist <3 #i need to just. draw my cartoon characters in peace 😔😔😔

if there’s one thing abt staying up rlly late it’s that it gives u the best lore-dreams

#the girl i met there was cool #there was this weird room that wanted to kill u and i think she was born there (her mother went in there when she was pregnant ig)#i think she had some sorta magic healing powers but they weren’t always perfect (eg. her legs never fully healed so she can’t walk much)#and also i think the room could change sizes or smthn but that might’ve just been typical dream continuity #i think i wanted to leave it #and also there was this creature that came every once in a while and it left something behind i think (maybe human or animal corpses? idk)#i think we managed to find a way to leave but for some reason she couldnt #also not sure how she nd her mother managed to be in there for 16(?) years since i barely survived 3 days #but idk maybe it had smthn to do with her powers #i think by the end i was able to leave and i could text her from outside the room and so could other ppl and the plot was still ongoing #there was also a young boy there that my brain 1000% based off young adam from the adam project #also for some reason my bsf his brother and his mother were there at a bit #and his brother had aids for some reason and she was mad abt it (idk)#wish i could remember more of the dream cause it was pretty cool #i need to name the girl #i remember she was pretty pale with big brown eyes and red hair #and by red i mean red red not ginger #she was also relatively skinny nd cis #and also her legs didn’t work the best and i can’t remember what it was but there was smthn different about what she had to eat #maybe she counted as a creature from the room idk #i loved her tho #dreams #ryan shut the fuck up

I apologize for being a huge butthurt SU fan on main today.

It will happen again. Probably whenever another story driven cartoon's finale occurs and people use that to bash SU too.

Honestly the only thing making that a "probably" is that I can't think of any current story driven cartoons right now.

#i mean there was dead end paranormal park but... *shakes fist at netflix*#tgamm and mmadd have like. background arcs ig but theyre more episodic so i don't count them #but yeah. what I'm getting at is that--like I've said before--pretty much every non-SU modern story #driven cartoon kills off its big bads but every time it happens it feels like the entire animation fandom thinks #it's the first time it's ever happened and TAKE THAT STUPID STEPHEN GALAXIES!#like literally the only other story driven cartoon this century i can think of that didn’t kill off its big bad #was atla and there was disk horse over that bit too! #i managed to draw a llama with just a few refs though mostly focused on one and it looks great #and then i took one ref pic of a bee and was able to doodle one in a DIFFERENT ANGLE. HOW. WHATS GOING ON #Id get it if it were a bird. BUT A LLAMA.
